4 Star Rating Had a lovely breakfast here this morning with some girlfriends! We each ordered something different and then sampled off eachothers plates! What delightful flavours! The bacon, chicken, eggs all were fresh and full of robust flavours. Coffee was delicious too! I will visit again!

5 Star Rating An old college friend of mine brought me to this hip cafe and bistro yesterday, Thursday late afternoon. I really like the great atmosphere, modern design, tucked away between buildings. I can't wait to try the desserts but I was too full with my delicious burger and spicy fries. They make a great black coffee too with the perfect bitterness for my taste buds. I will be back with my wife.

4 Star Rating Food was great for the weekend brunch menu! I’d rate this in between a 4-4.5. Chicken and waffles was great! Very crispy and delicious! Brisket sandwich was good but not my fave. Also replaced chips with broccolini. Not as flavourful as I was hoping. KFC was good, had a bit of a kick to it but great sauce! Waiters were nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend a visit!

5 Star Rating If you’re looking for a place that goes way beyond the usual dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The menu is incredibly extensive and impressively creative—offering dishes and drinks you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a foodie chasing something adventurous or someone who loves variety, there’s something here for everyone. Each item feels carefully curated, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in pushing boundaries. Fridays are a real treat—live music adds. Special shoutout to the staff—they’re genuinely warm, attentive, and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a team that combines professionalism with such good energy. 5 Star Rating We came here for dinner. Glad we made a reservation because it was packed. We ordered their oysters, seared scallops, prawns linguine, and crispy squid & prawns. All of their seafoods are so fresh, no fishy smell. I love their oysters and linguine. The yolk made the pasta so creamy and tasty. We have the cheesecake as the dessert. The service was quick and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. Close to Longsdale Quay as well, very recommended!

2 Star Rating Excellent place, clean, good service from the waiters, and the food with a traditional butter and garlic flavor. But the price does NOT make up for the small portions. The seafood tower is $140. Really poor seafood for the price. When I received the bill, the happy hour prices did not exist. They charged the regular price. I paid $340 for 3 people. Attached is a pic of the bill. It's not a place I would recommend. The price paid does not make up for the small portions received for the seafood with butter and garlic.

5 Star Rating One of our favourite seafood restaurants in Vancouver. The seafood is incredibly fresh and the menu is quite creative, incorporating unique flavour profiles to familiar Pacific Northwest favourites. Happy Hour is also a great opportunity to try the various small plates. Pro tip: Ask for more bread to dip into the amazing sauces. We’ve been to Fishworks a couple of times and the quality has been pretty consistent. Our recent visit saw the fish & chips having somewhat soggy fries, a minor but rare miss. Otherwise, our experience has always been perfect!

5 Star Rating Our evening at Pier 7 was amazing. This is our first time at this place, prices, food and service was top notch. We didn't expect much before coming here but we left extremely happy! Kari Ann was by far the best server we have ever had in our lives and I would definitely recommend you guys ask to be seated in her section if she is working on that day. She really made today feel special for us. 10 / 10 would recommend.

4 Star Rating This was our first experience at Pier 7. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and offered a table in the corner of the enclosed patio. A few windows were open, allowing us to hear the sounds of the ocean and breathe in the fresh sea air — a lovely touch that added to the waterfront experience. Our server, Tessa, was kind and attentive throughout the meal. Her service made us feel well taken care of, and we appreciated her friendly demeanor. The food overall was decent, though a few things missed the mark. My partner had the fish and chips, which came with a red cabbage coleslaw that appeared to be leftovers from the day before — the cabbage had turned brown, a detail the kitchen clearly overlooked. I had a green salad with salmon. While the salmon itself was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, the salad was plain: mostly greens, a few chunky cherry tomatoes and red peppers, tiny bits of cucumber, and a balsamic dressing that lacked any real taste. I did mention the issue with the coleslaw to our server at the end of our meal. She was genuinely apologetic, though no gesture was made to compensate or address the concern further. While there’s room for improvement, we still enjoyed the experience and might give it another try in the future. .

3 Star Rating Came in with friends who has made a reservation. They were still setting our table up. We had an ok dining experience. Yes, we were here to be near the water since I am here visiting and have good eats. My waffles tasted very floury like it wasn't mixed well enough. I enjoyed the berries and compote but felt it might have been to hide the floury taste of the waffles. My friends had a variety of dishes which I did not get pictures of them as they all dug in their dishes before I could and they say it was ok as well. The service truly was understaffed as we waiting a while before we got our drinks, food and refills. The staff did say they were understaffed but my friends am told that they are always understaffed. However I did see a number of people around that could have helped the others with things but didn't. Where we were seated was a bit squishy because of the other tables being set up and trying to accommodate each request to get a view of the water. I may or may not come in for the view, but something needs to drive me in for it. Obviously, it isn't the food at this moment.

4 Star Rating As another reviewer said, funky atmosphere and a very relaxed vibe. This is my go-to spot for dinner after a day spent at the breweries in the area. 4 Star Rating I don’t know how I feel about some of the drinks, they are definitely different but absolutely worth a try! Food wasn’t the best but it was such a fun place to hang out and have cocktails. I’m a little bit upset because on the menu beans and rice costed $4 but my receipt showed $5 so I asked our server and she just said “yeah it’s extra so that’s the price”. I didn’t want to argue with her so I just paid but I was expecting more customer service. Yeah it’s only a buck but it’s kinda false advertising and if I was drunk I wouldn’t have noticed I was mid-charged.

They have a cozy atmosphere and excellent service! Christian is the owner and chef and it always a delight to speak to him. We had the Swiss Raclette and I had the Schnitzel Gypsy style (Mother's day special) where I usually have their regular Wiener schnitzel. We love the Schnitzels, the mushroom sauce (we ordered an extra one) and their panfried potatoes , Yummy! Bonus: the portions are generous :) They also have a nice selections of wines and German and other European beers :) And another bonus, have live music on certain days. We will be back!!

4 Star Rating Jägerhof delivers a hearty and authentic German dining experience, and overall I really enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the trio of artisan sausages, the Bavarian Schweinshaxn (pork hock), and the Cordon Bleu schnitzel with spätzle. The trio of sausages was a great start. Each had its own character: the wild boar was juicy and meaty, the venison was denser with the deepest spice profile, and the bratwurst combined the best of both worlds—juicy yet nicely seasoned. I’d recommend eating them in that order, and for me, the venison and bratwurst stood out the most. The Cordon Bleu schnitzel was solid—crispy thin crust encasing ham and cheese, exactly what you’d expect. No surprises, but well executed. The Schweinshaxn (pork hock) was good too, with no off flavors and enjoyable skin and fat. The crispy skin and fatty bits were the highlights, though I found the meat itself leaned a bit dry and bland once I got past the skin and fat. A bit more marbling or fattiness would’ve elevated it. Interestingly, the sides stole the show. Both the red cabbage and sauerkraut were delicious, tangy, and addictive—perfect complements to the rich meats and starches. The potatoes with the pork hock were brilliant; cooked in the pork fat (or at least tasting like they were), they absorbed all the richness, reminding me of duck confit potatoes. Absolutely delicious, and they made me imagine how incredible the hock could be if the meat carried more of that fat-rendered flavor. Overall, Jägerhof is a great spot for comforting German fare, with excellent sausages and standout sides. A few dishes leaned on the predictable side, but the execution and flavors still made for a satisfying meal.

5 Star Rating Tap & Barrel in the Shipyards is a fantastic spot with an unbeatable atmosphere. We stopped by recently and ordered the salmon and the burger, and both were absolutely perfect. The salmon was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with delicious sides. You can tell they really care about quality in their food. 4 Star Rating We had the steak frites, one with ribeye and one with sirloin, and our son ordered the kids pizza. The view was amazing and probably the best part of the evening. The food was ok overall. The steaks came out medium just like we asked which was nice, but the flavor and presentation were pretty average. The kids pizza was simple but our son enjoyed it. It was not very busy for a Thursday around 6:30 pm and we were seated right away with no wait which was great. The food did take a little while to arrive considering the place was not packed, but once it came we were able to relax and enjoy the setting. This is definitely the kind of spot where the atmosphere and views make the visit worthwhile even if the food is not the main reason to go.

We were outside but luckily they had some patio umbrellas to protect us from the hot sun. My wife ordered 3 Korean Fried Chicken Sliders and a Spicy Passionfruit Margarita. The chicken was crispy and tender while the margarita was refreshing with a little spicy kick! I ordered a Breakfast Burger and a Sour Cherry Lemonade as I love breakfast anytime and it was so hot. The burger had beef, bacon, a fried egg, white cheddar, arugula and garlic & jalapeño mayo on a brioche bun. It tasted so good with the crispy potatoes and the lemonade was so thirst quenching! 4 Star Rating Overall my experience was a positive one at Taps & Barrel. Given this is the flagship location I had higher expectations. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly, we had a reservation our waiter took us to the wrong table that was reserved for someone else, then when it was our turn our waiter / server did not clean / prepare our table. We requested for a high chair during the booking process and to be seated upstairs. That was not a big deal but the floor was utterly dirty and drinks spills were still on the table. We ended up cleaning that ourselves. The food was a saving grace, my kid loved their mac and cheese. Only complain is that we requested for a medium rare steak it came to well done. That is okay it was a busier day so we accepted that, also the food got really cold real fast that is something else that should be looked into. My burgers got cold within 5 minutes after serving. The fries were warm at best. But still very delicious! These are my two cents.

There is an outdoor patio and plenty of inside seating. We chose to sit inside. The restaurant had very rustic and Greek inspired decor which we loved. The food was amazing. I had the prawn souvlaki and subbed the rice for Greek potatoes. Probably one of the best Greek potatoes I've ever had. I also had the calamari but didn't find it super flavourful. My wife is vegan and was able to order the Beyonce meat souvlaki which she loved. Our friend ordered the chicken souvlaki and she very much enjoyed that. The service was good as well. Recommend their sangria, it was absolutely delicious, and their 3 dip platter. The side roasted vegetables was to die for, very flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pita was slightly dry, or may to be covered and served to prevent it gets bone hard, but overall the cookery was spot on for the rest, with friendly service. 5 Star Rating I don’t normally leave reviews for nearly anyone, but we stopped here on a whim during the shipyard event. Even though there wasn’t room on the patio for my dog, they graciously made an exception and allowed us to sit in the “non-dog” section because of the busy day, which was a private table area nestled into the corner. Myself and my mother both ordered the garlic shrimp and it was incredible, so much so that we ordered a second round. Appies were on for two for one. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade and the lobster Mac and cheese and they were both incredible also. This place was absolutely fantastic - probably the best place I’ve eaten at in a while. A great little hidden gem - so happy we stumbled on it by accident.

5 Star Rating The food was fantastic! We were simply seeking a casual dining experience, and this place completely exceeded our expectations. It was actually quite good, even better than we had anticipated. However, the server appeared a bit overly eager to encourage us to order alcoholic beverages. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience was great. I also enjoyed the restaurant’s design and the lively atmosphere.

5 Star Rating Had an amazing last dinner here with my new brother and sister. Our waiter was an awesome dude from Poland (david?) and food was delicious. Great beer on tap too. Thanks for the chats and service.

5 Star Rating Burgoo in North Vancouver is comfort food at its best. I had the tomato soup with a grilled cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The soup was rich and flavorful, and the grilled cheese was perfectly crispy with the right amount of gooey goodness inside. The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal, and the service was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

5 Star Rating Leah was our server and she made the evening special and memorable. We were seated quickly and burgoo being for comfort food, we were made cozy and felt right at home from the start. Yes, the food was good, but it was our interaction with our server Leah that give the experience the soul that made us feel warm and fuzzy. Leah is sweet and kind and made an effort to be very personal despite having to manage multiple tables at once. We would go back just for the service alone. This restaurant is worth a visit if you’re looking for soul food and kindness.

5 Star Rating We took the SeaBus over the bay for lunch and settled on this little charming place. Good food with affordable price. Limited space for sitting so you may have to wait or do takeout.

5 Star Rating Walked around to get change, refill my Compass card and leave.. this place caught my eye and the music was very calm, staff very welcoming. I’m eating good sushi made by hood people by the water. It’s raining, but I don’t care. I ordered a Cooked Beef Teriyaki roll to stay, and then a Kimchi Tofu Udon because it’s raining. This is the place you walk in and order anything and it’ll be good. They’re budget friendly too, they’ve got things like Shin ramen among others for $6 and for $10, you get a bonus California roll. Sit down facing the window and enjoy the Jazz music and people walking by. Don’t eat in a rush and don’t forget to tip! Enjoy your meal.

5 Star Rating Visited this small shop on Canada Day. It has affordable and delicious sushi! The California Roll was very smooth and the Firecracker roll had a great blend of spice and Umatilla. I will come again and would definitely recommend it to others!
