Found out it serves high tea when we picked up birthday cake for a friend.
Portion is quite a lot for high tea. Menu is interesting with Hong Kong elements.
Scones: baked good but not served clotted cream but whipped cream, butter and jam.
Savoury: egg sandwich is a big too big and normally bite sized. Curry beef puff and quiche taste good.
Sweets: mango pomelo puff is creamy. Coffee milk tea cheesecake is fair.
We all need to take some home.
High tea is only available on Sundays!

what a PERFECT BRUNCH SPOT — every dish, from the savoury to the sweet, was so so yummy.
the cornflakes babka french toast is only available on the weekends but it’s actually a masterpiece. the golden cornflake exterior has such a freshly fried crisp and crunch, the inside babka bread was steaming and SO soft and so fluffy, and there were crunchy nuts sprinkled on top of the very creamy, addicting, slightly bitter espresso cream & tart berry jam; the medley of textures and flavours was just bonkers. the flakes had a hint of a salty flavour, but the inside was oozing with fudgy, rich, super sweet and indulgent hazelnutty chocolate. the caramelized bananas were also super warm and mushy, with a super deep and rich sweetness.
ALSO GET THE POTATO ROSTI because the outside was so crispy but the POTATO INSIDE WAS SO CREAMY and the potato flavour went so so so well with the tangy, mayo-y aioli.

Our experience overall was excellent.
The only negative was the sign-in process to get a table. I won’t go into details as I see it as a one-off human error and not something that should define the restaurant.
The layout is a bit tight, but I’d call it intimate. The décor hits a bistro-rustic vibe that’s very warm and pleasant.
From the moment we were seated onward, everything was first-rate. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made the experience easy and relaxed.
The food was very good and creative in how it refreshed classic dishes. The steak and eggs, for example, were served on a house made deep-fried rice patty, adding a really nice crunch to what’s usually a softer plate. A fun, thoughtful twist that worked extremely well.
We were seated at the bar, which turned out to be a bonus. Watching the baristas and bartenders work, from coffee to cocktails, was entertaining and added to the atmosphere.
Definitely recommend, just be prepared for the table wait process.

I recently visited Catch 122 in Lower Lonsdale and was pleasantly surprised by their gluten free options. I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce which was fresh, flavorful, and a great alternative since they currently offer gluten free bread but not a gluten free burger bun. The burger itself was juicy and well seasoned, and the lettuce wrap held up surprisingly well.
What really stood out was that they also had two gluten free cookies available in their pastry display, which is always a nice touch for anyone looking for a gluten free treat with their coffee.
While the gluten free menu isn't extensive, it's clear that they make an effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful when answering questions about gluten free options. Combined with the great Shipyards location and welcoming atmosphere, Catch 122 is a solid choice for North Vancouver.

I’ve had brunch a few times at Catch 122 and always enjoyed it but went for dinner for the first time and was blown away. Extraordinary food and service! We enjoyed the tuna, fish and chips, short ribs and hazelnut passionfruit dessert (as well as a bottle of Okanagan Pinot Gris) The short ribs were the stand out for me. Our server was friendly yet professional. I’ll be back again for sure.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Fishworks. Our food took around 50 minutes to arrive, which felt a bit long, but once it came, we understood why—it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The seafood was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Great atmosphere and quality service as well. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

First time here, I think the best dish is the Salmon Wellington , 10 out of 10 would order that again. The salmon was moist, phyllo pastry was crispy flaky, it was memorable. Everything else was just fine, a little bit on the salty side. I recommend sharing so you get a taste of different things in a meal. The service however was very random, maybe I caught them at an odd time.

Went there on a Friday night. We had reservations but we arrived early, the staff was still able to seat us. Our server Paris was very informative and quick responding to our questions and needs, and she recommended the best wild salmon I've ever had which was a special menu of that day. Other items like carbonara, paella and salmon wellington all tasted amazing. We had a great night and the best seafood selections at Fishworks, definitely will come back again when craving for seafood!

Lovely restaurant! Right by the pier!
The Benedict can have a bit more hollandaise sauce... You can never have too much!
The server kept trying to upsell stuff which is fine.. but she tried to up sell bacon when we told her we were vegetarian.
Overall I really liked this restaurant😊

My favourite restaurant in North Vancouver! They have a cozy patio right by the water with an amazing view and atmosphere. I always come here when I’m craving fantastic mussels. The service is always great and welcoming. It’s definitely better to book a table in advance if you want a nice spot on busy days. Highly recommended!

I love it, but my mother probably hates this place hahahaha.
Was here for the happy hour, and the sangria was so great?!?!??? It had sparkling soda included as well, and was so refreshing I had to order a second.
I personally ordered the oysters and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being really cheap and not of the Gillardeau breed (I usually only order those), they were surprisingly sweet. Pretty small sized too so, yet tasted so good.
The mussels though, ugh. I tested a couple and they were fishy smelling. Probably kept over the appropriate age so I stopped eating. My mother, who ordered, did complete eating the rest though. She’s on her 2nd day of diarrhoea now 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would personally go to PIER 7 again if given the chance. Being aware of what to avoid is enough for me hahahaha.

It was our first time in Vancouver, and my friends and I felt so welcomed by the staff here—especially Laura, our host. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating. We had a quick chat, and she recommended more places for us to visit. The food was amazing, but the staff definitely deserve even more stars—and a raise, for sure! Hopefully, we’ll come back and see her again.

Great location, close to SeaBus, bus loop and Lonsdale Quay.
Jan 17/26 - Quality food & drink. One person at front counter taking phone orders, reservations and seating people while other staff standing & talking back by washrooms. Bartender has skills. A+ for him. Server was good.
Good viewing location for televised sports but sound drowned out by a kid’s birthday party.

The most pleasant thing was definitely the staff 🙌 – from the reception to the lovely girl who served our table(SIMRANPREE). They weren’t just good, they were excellent 👏 and I really hope management appreciates them!
Prices 💵 and atmosphere 🍻 were great, especially the beer during happy hour 🍺.
Food portions were good 🍽️, and the quality was somewhere between average and good.

Not sure why these guys get the hate. Incredible kind service. Everyone already knows BP food is mid. But they will tune any sports for you, including UFC/MMA when not one other bar/restaurant in the whole district will touch it.
Khem, and other servers were incredible. On the ball and quick to rectify anything.
A gem of a spot. You come here for sports, not the food. And the service is above average for a sports bar. Happy hour is decent and the space has great wifi.

I had a great experience at Boston Pizza thanks to the amazing service from Amine and Kabil. They were both incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire visit. They made sure everything was perfect, from checking in at the right time to making the whole atmosphere welcoming and enjoyable. It’s rare to see such great teamwork and customer care. Their positive attitude really made the experience stand out. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

A perfectly nice and serene Tim Hortons that offers good warm food at a reasonable price. Good morning, Team Tim!
Today, I dropped by for my usual morning kickstart – a large French Vanilla with 2 sugars to help boost my energy before starting work. But sadly… I think my sugar took a detour and never made it into the cup 😅
The drink tasted like the regular French Vanilla – still warm and comforting, but missing that extra sweet hug I was really counting on this morning. Not sure if the sugar was forgotten or just being shy today – either way, my mood took a slight dip after a couple of sips. 🫠
I come here often and usually love the service, but this little hiccup hit harder than a Monday morning. Still, I appreciate the effort – we all have off days (even the sugar squad). Keep brewing, and maybe next time, give my sugar the VIP treatment it deserves! 😉
With slightly less sweetness but still some love,
Your loyal, slightly mood-shifted customer 💛

I never expected to find better Haxen and Schnitzel in Vancouver than the ones I actually had in Germany! The meat was incredibly tender and delicious. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, with top-notch professionalism as a bonus. Calling to make a reservation was a bit of a hassle, but the outstanding food and service made it totally worth it. Will definitely be back soon!

A very interesting evening . Disappointed in the pork hock dish, but I guess after eating them in Germany, is hard to find the same one here. The meat balls were very delicious. The raclette was a little dry. The music was extremely loud and hard to talk.nothing to do with German, Austrian or Swiss countries music. In such a small place that music is not appropriate.

One of my favorite places around Lonsdale Quay! The location is beautiful with such a nice waterfront view, and the ice cream selection is amazing. There are so many unique flavors that it’s honestly hard to choose just one. Everything was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The vibe of the place is really fun and chill, especially in the evening by the water. Great spot for a quick dessert stop or to just sit back and enjoy the view.

We received good service, but the quality of the food was much lower than expected for the price. What I found disappointing was that a place with such a strong reputation and so many customers seems to focus primarily on its liquor selection. Food is also a major part of the dining experience and hospitality industry. I hope more attention will be given to improving the food quality in the future.

Tried Tap & Barrel Shipyards at Lonsdale Quay and it did not disappoint!
Service was very good, the staff were all accommodating and attentive. We really appreciated that our server refilled our bottomless drinks without us even asking.
Food highlights:
Margherita Pizza, our favorite! Super delicious, simple yet so flavorful. Definitely a must-order.
Tacos & Guacamole fresh and tasty, perfect for sharing. Tip: chips come with free refills, which we loved!
Chicken wings, a bit small sizes but delicious.
Overall, the price is reasonable for the quality, service, and experience. Great spot for casual dining with friends or family. Will definitely come back!

Tap & Barrel Shipyards is HUGE! Besides the spacious patio, there are two floors of indoor seating, so I was surprised by what happened when we arrived.
On a Saturday evening, there were two lines: one for walk-ins and one for reservations. My friend and I joined the walk-in line and specifically asked for an indoor table. While we were waiting, I noticed there were still plenty of empty tables on the patio. Then, somehow, people who arrived after us were seated first. 😅 My friend had to remind the staff that we were still waiting before we were finally shown to our table.
One staff member definitely saved the day, though! While I was wandering around looking for the washrooms, a waiter somehow knew exactly where I was headed and pointed me in the right direction before I even had to ask. Much appreciated! Bonus points for the washroom door having a foot pedal so you can open it hands-free. Such a smart touch.
There was also a little piece of lint on my drinking glass, but the waiter happily replaced it without any fuss. Great service there.
We ordered from the Happy Hour menu.
🥑 Fresh Guac & Chips
My friend loved it and thought the guacamole had plenty of lime. I... respectfully disagreed. 😂 I was hoping for a much tangier, lime-forward flavour, and it just didn't hit that level for me. I actually couldn't finish it because I kept wishing it had more zing. 🌝
🫓 Hummus & Za'atar Flatbread
The crispy chickpeas were delicious and added a great crunch. The hummus was creamy, but there was too much flatbread for me. I love hummus, but after a while, it became bread... with more bread. 😆 I also appreciated that they were able to remove the cheese to make the dish vegan.
Overall: Tap & Barrel Shipyards has a lively atmosphere that's perfect for watching a game with friends, thanks to the big TV screens. The Happy Hour menu is a nice bonus if you're looking for reduced prices. While the food was decent, it didn't quite wow me. I'd come back for the ambiance and drinks, but the food was just... fine.

I absolutely adore Tap & Barrel Shipyards! We visited several times between 11 October and 18 October 2025, each time at different times. I especially enjoy the wide variety of delicious beers available on tap. Plus, the food is great. I’m generally a big fan of the restaurant’s lively atmosphere and the constant sports coverage on the big screens.
Here’s a fun little story: back in November 2024, on a rather rainy day, I met a lovely couple just because I was wearing my German soccer jersey. So, the restaurant played a part in my good fortune, as I ended up meeting two wonderful people who became friends—and I’ve seen them again this time!

The quality and portion size of the main plates were very satisfying. We were thinking about ordering some seasonal items, but the server kindly let us know in advance that the portions were smaller compared to the regular main plates. Since we were quite hungry, we decided to go with the regular dishes instead. We really appreciated the honest recommendation.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the great service. There was also a live dance performance happening, which made the atmosphere feel very lively and fun.

Great place for dinner! I tried the Spanakopita and Dipping Vegetables as appetizers (though it was just fresh vegetables, so you can skip it). For the main course, I had the Souvlaki with chicken and shrimp with Greek salad, and the Moussaka - this one I especially loved and highly recommend. For drinks, I enjoyed Helen's Sangria.
Overall a good experience, normal service, and an authentic atmosphere!

We really wanted to write a review about our experience at this amazing restaurant. We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful day, and although we were not originally planning to stop because we were not specifically craving Greek food, it ended up being one of the best unplanned meals we have had in a very long time.
The food was absolutely incredible. My husband had the octopus, and I had the souvlaki. Every bite was delicious. You could truly taste every flavour, and nothing was overpowering or over seasoned. Everything was balanced perfectly and prepared with so much care.
The restaurant was very busy, but the experience was still wonderful. Our dessert did take a little longer to come out, but it was completely worth the wait. We had the Easter bread with vanilla custard and whipped cream, and honestly, I cannot say enough about it. It may be one of my favourite desserts I have ever had.
Our server was fabulous, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the entire experience felt warm and welcoming from start to finish. We will absolutely be back sooner rather than later. This has definitely become one of our new go to spots.
Thank you for a truly amazing meal and such a great experience.

Would love to give a 2.5 star if possible. I came for dinner here last night. I had the Moussaka which was nice and tasty. However, the pitta was bland if honest and the Greek salad was weak. It only had one olive and the feta looked like it came from a bag pre grated. You’d expect that authentic Greek restaurants would try to have their own feta or at least a quality feta available.
Short story, this is restaurant is missing the authentic touch and more a North American Greek restaurant instead.

Cute little Sushi Place. I got the Crunch Roll and Tempura. Very tasty and pretty decent for it’s price. Staff is friendly and nice. The restaurant is kinda small but it’s okay. I just noticed that the sushi stucks on the paper plate. Hoping they use a nonstick disposable plates if that would be possible to avoid sticking. Overall the experience is good. A must try !

Amazing & friendly staff!! very delicious sushi — not only affordable but refreshing ingredients!
They are generous with the amount of filling in sushi rolls, and complimentary green tea!
Two of us shared a bento box with beef teriyaki on rice (with AMAZING dumpling!) and an order chicken teriyaki with California rolls. Yum!

Walked around to get change, refill my Compass card and leave.. this place caught my eye and the music was very calm, staff very welcoming.
I’m eating good sushi made by good people by the water.
It’s raining, but I don’t care. I ordered a Cooked Beef Teriyaki roll to stay, and then a Kimchi Tofu Udon because it’s raining.
This is the place you walk in and order anything and it’ll be good.
They’re budget friendly too, they’ve got things like Shin ramen among others for $6 and for $10, you get a bonus California roll.
Sit down facing the window and enjoy the Jazz music and people walking by. Don’t eat in a rush and don’t forget to tip!
Enjoy your meal.

I got the teriyaki beef Bento box, delicious sushi, gyoza, and plenty of tasty beef! This place is small but it's conveniently located by the Sea bus. I highly recommend it! Friendly staff and a nice small cozy restaurant.
