What a great little spot. Two of us. Had to share plates and one main meal. And there was plenty of food. The tuna dish was absolutely delicious, the squid was perfectly prepared, and the the steelhead fish stole the show. Will definitely want to come by later and try the brunch menu..
Be prepared for a line. Worth it.

Recently dined at this bistro for brunch and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious , impeccably presented, and accompanied by exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, the coffee, sourced from a local company, was flavorful and satisfying. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this establishment.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, I stumbled upon Catch restaurant while looking for a place to dine out. It turned out to be one of the most impressive dining experiences I've had recently.
The staff who guided us to our table and took our orders were exceptionally kind, a rarity these days. This alone makes me want to revisit. We ordered three dishes and when we mentioned we'd like to share, they promptly brought three plates.
Overall, the setting was clean and inviting. The flavors of the food were rich and delightful, providing immense satisfaction throughout the meal. After leisurely enjoying our food, we took a stroll around the area, capping off a thoroughly delightful Sunday lunch.
This is definitely a restaurant I'd love to visit again.

We visited Catch 122 for the first time during Dine Out Vancouver. They are masters of beautiful presentation and delicious cuisine.
My girlfriend started with silky Prawn Chowder, followed by generous perfectly seasoned and cooked Steelhead portion over saffron pecorino risotto and finished with an equally generous light and fluffy Basque Cheesecake.
I started with a Korean Steak Tartare, what a wonderful twist: WOW!, followed by a tender and perfectly cooked rare Strip-loin Steak (with roasted smoked eggplant: WOW! and a potato cake encrusted with hand made potato chips and garlic flakes, and a small haystack of slender taro fries). My dessert was a superb dark chocolate ganache.
Our waitress Sophia was friendly and attentive, making our visit very pleasant.
Not realizing at the time who she was, the co-owner came around to each table to explain each course.
Lloyd - 2 months ago
We came for the 3 course dine out menu with wine pairings. The service was great and the ambience was lovely. Majority of the food was delicious and the drink pairings were perfect, but the potato that comes with the steak was extremely salty. It almost tasted like it had been seasoned twice by mistake? My husband and I don't shy away from properly seasoned foods with a good amount of salt, but we didn't even finish eating the potato as it wasn't enjoyable at all.
Slightly disappointed that the kitchen/waitstaff didn't offer any kind of resolution to make up for it.
We will probably come again as we enjoyed our experience overall, but hopefully all items on the plate will be properly seasoned next time.

The quality always is good there! What I noticed by time they change a bit the presentation of orders, maybe to make it a new experience. When you feel like home and when the taste and quality is good so you should be happy. Specially for deserts, just a little to much sweet! Thanks!

Excellent quality casual eats to sit at the bar and people watch in lower Lonsdale. Friendly and experienced bar tender to keep you company if you wish. Limited wine by the glass. Customizable cocktails. Always ask for the special- my Sablefish with Gratin Dauphinois was excellent.

Came here for an early dinner. They had a happy hour special from 4pm to 6pm. We ended up ordering all the appies on the happy hour menu and we were full. Seared scallops very tasty. Crispy shrimp and squid was light and crispy with a dipping sauce that had a little kick to it. Seared tuna was good. Mussels were not fresh but edible. Octopus was the highlight. Definitely a must try,

So delicious, with a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Every dish was delicious. We had a halibut special with risotto that was seasoned perfectly, and fish and chips that had a perfectly crisp batter and the octopus app was excellent. We had our young children with us and the staff was happy to accommodate. They don't have a kids menu, but made a small pasta dish with cheese sauce for the kids.

To say that the food is superb is an understatement, dining at Fishworks is an experience. There is no other place that has a personal touch of the overall experience, starting from the on-the-house warm bread with a side of chickpea puree and even to the chocolate truffles,a complimentary treat at the end.
Now to the real deal, you can literally taste the flavors of the ocean in your mouth. You can savour it's freshness and a whole level of gastronomical expertise tossed in a plate. The Sockeye Salmon Wellington, the Fishworks Paella and the Scallop Risotto are my top 3 food in their menu!
A must to recommend to my friends and family.

So my eyes eat before my stomach. Definetly recommend happy hour! Great prices! I order the cajun chicken salad, yam fries and of course my eyes are bigger then my stomach; I also ordered fish and chips! Cajun chicken ceasert was made nicely, chicken was moist and not too salty. Fish and chips were definetly the star! 2 huge pieces and plenty of fries! I also had a cocktail apple ginger bear mule! If you love ginger beer, I definitely recommend! I didnt eat all of it ,plenty to tskr home. My friend got the steak and frites with half salad and half fries. Steak was cooked perfectly medium. And my other friend got the cajun chicken burger with truffle fries. We definitely were stuffed!
Didn't have room for dessert but will be back for the lava cake and vanilla ice cream!

We usually wouldn't come all the way up to North Van for dinner. I'm glad we did tonight.
We didn't feel like having wine but the wine list was great.
My wife had the Surf and Turf. It's a bit expensive but it was glorious, no regrets.
I had salmon and prawns. Nice and smokey and the portion was generous.
Service was remarkable. Like non-pretentious, great positive energy and our server eve cracked a little joke about placenta. That was the highlight of the night.
We'll definitely be back

This restaurant has the best view in town! Love listening to the sound of waves during the dinner. The service was nice and quick. We had 3 course menu. The appetizer I got was seafood chowder and it was delicious. Unfortunately the steak was little over cooked other than that everything was amazing!

The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. No hostess around to greet us took a solid amount of time to actually get seated by a staff member. Other then the service being a bit slow, the food was very good I quite enjoyed it. 4$ beers on happy hour were pretty decent.

At was our first time at Raglan’s Bistro & their colourful patio & sign 🪧 caught our eye. We were so happy that their patio was open & they turned on the heater for us & our pup. I ordered the piña colada 🍍 🥥 🍹 & huevos rancheros with a side of summer sausage. While my husband ordered a burger & she staff accommodated his request to make the order vegan. The food came out quickly & was HOT. 🍽️ the summer sausage caught my eye as soon as the staff brought it out: it was colourful & looked juicy. And after taking a bite: I knew it wasn’t just store-bought/ a ready to cook sausage. It juicy & burst with flavour with each bite, & was so good that I had to ask if it was house-made or a specialty order. One of the staff said it was indeed house-made & took lots of recipe-tweaking. My cocktail was refreshing after finishing up a walk around Mahon Park & felt like I was in a tropical country. 🌴 And my cast iron plate of huevos rancheros was filling, scrumptious & definitely made our stroll worth it. My husband was happy with a full belly with his burger. 🍔
Highly recommend Raglan’s for their friendly staff, colourful & heated patio, & yummy food. 💯

Very cool place in the north van. It's small but good food and atmosphere. The drinks are top-notch. Loved the blue Hawaiian. The burger is amazing. It's loaded and very tasty. Substituting fries with salad is a little expensive and would've been nice to be mentioned beforehand. It's still very tasty salad. Will definitely go back.

Cute spot with friendly service and good food. They also have outside seating for puppies! It felt like a beach spot...except it was raining. The patio is covered with heaters.
I had the chicken sandwich with home fries for brunch with a surf and turf Caesar.
All were tasty!! Caesar was spicy and delicious. Good olives and pickles beans.

My friends and I were very excited to come back to Raglan’s for the first time in a while for their burgers that we loved in the past. However we left surprised and disappointed by the drop in quality of their food.
The first thing we all noticed was that the buns were thin (which we found odd for a thick burger) and tasted stale. Secondly, the “back bacon” was more like a thin, cold slice of deli meat. We were expecting proper back bacon and this was a big let down. The cheese wasn’t put on the burger while cooking so it never melted and was served cold. Lastly, my friends ordered burgers that came with crispy onion rings. In the past we remember these coming with a heaping amount, but there were barely enough crispy onions to register. On top of that, the fries tasted dry and stiff, the kind of thing that happens from being stuck in the freezer for too long.
It brings me no joy to write this but as a long time fan of this place we really hope they step up their game.

I recently dined at this German kitchen restaurant, and I must say, it was fantastic! The Schweinsaxen was a standout, and all the other dishes we tried were equally delicious. But what really made the experience memorable was the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a tasty dinner and good vibes. Highly recommend!

I made a table reservation one week before my birthday, I came only with my son.
We moved to Vancouver about a year ago because of the war in our country.
We chose this restaurant because there are good reviews and it is located near the place where we live.
When reserving a table, they clarified about my birthday and said that they had made a mark, but when we arrived, no one congratulated me, and it was a shame to see another person being congratulated on his birthday at the next table.
There was also no live music, we came at 8 pm.
In general, it was the saddest dinner for my birthday.
The food was delicious, we paid about $150 for two including tips

It's a great pizza, no denying that. The crust is great with the right amount of char, the tomato sauce is excellent. The options are interesting. But the price per slice is eyebrow raising, $6/slice is a little much
Talid Jalbout - a week ago
Had pizza here for the first time a few days ago. Lots of selection with lots of options to choose from including the Big Dill. Definitely a good pizza. My only comments are that the pizzas were slightly cold by the time we ate them (only a few moments after ordering) and that the crust was slightly dry. This style of pizza doesn’t tend to hold heat well so be cautious when ordering. Other those two minor points, highly recommended, especially if you’re on site and want a quick slice to go.

There is definitely some yummy goodness from the pies here! From the modern traditional flavors baked on nicely flatten thin crust. THe pies here are a great compliment to the seaside breeze! Other sides are a plenty, but the pizza's make a good center dish!

This place was about what I expected. Large, high volume, okay beer selection, food sort of meh. Maybe I just ordered poorly but I didn't love the spicy tuna burger. Maybe I was just comparing it to the many outstanding ones I've had before and this one just didn't measure up. Oh well...
There is a very large bar area and the service was pretty attentive there.
Just a bit more of a commercial / chain vibe than I really wanted. But hey, they have sports on big screens which was the draw for me anyway.

The food here is on point, with rave reviews from everyone at the table.
I went for the pesto pasta and it was pretty tasty. It had a creamy texture and just the right amount of salt.
My only minor gripe was that it could've used a bit more pesto, as the flavor only came through subtly towards the end. And let's not forget about the garlic bread mishap - it was a bit burnt and left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
But aside from that, the service was good, the drinks were enjoyable, and sipping on some wisers brought back some good memories. Overall, a solid experience!

I start with the comment, "Go Here" this is my first visit to a restaurant in Canada. We ended up here by the advice of one travel companion. Drive or take the inexpensive and easy ferry. Then walk into Tap and Barrel. The building is impressive. Grand, well themed and clean. We came only for a few beers and appetizers. The beer selection seems endless but no worries. Your waitress Destiny will easily guide you to the forest to the best choice of beer to meet your palete. If she suggests some food. Follow her suggestions. Yes the beer is absolutly delicious. But the Nachos and Fried Pickled appetizer are amazing. The flavors on the Nachos leave you scooping for another bite. It's a large pizza tray of one layer of chips piled with the appropriate ingredients. Fried Picked are crisp with a great light pickle flavor. The dipping sauce improves it greatly. Fast service, friendly personalized service, clean well planned decore and delicious food. I end this with the statement. Go here

Really dirty, lots of bugs flying around the restaurant.
Pros:
- The food was good, ordered the Truffle Onion Ring Burger with Truffle Waffle Fries. I don't normally order burgers but this is the place that I would prefer ordering burgers from.
- Service was good, the server built a good rapport, and also gave us time to decide what type of food we wanted to order.
- Didn't have to wait long to get a table on a Friday night.
Cons:
- As mentioned in the initial sentence, lots of bugs flying around. Assuming it's just summer...
- quite pricey just to substitute fries.
Would come back again!

What a brilliant restaurant- love the service, food and the classic vibes. The night we dined in, they also had a live dance performance that added to the great experience.
I have tried the Souvlaki dinners- beef, chicken: some might feel that the meat was slightly overcooked but it was very tasty.
Squid appetizer: excellent dish, the combination of chickpeas, salad and squid phew out of this world
Lamb Shanks- medium rare: Brilliant

Just had dinner here with my wife. We had dropped off our teenage daughters to go ice skating at the Shipyards with their youth group so decided to walk around the area to find a place to eat. We wanted a healthier choice than Tap & Barrel so we decided on Anatoli. Service and atmosphere was great. Our beef tenderloin was on the burnt and a bit dry side but otherwise the food was great 👍. We only had 30min left to eat and leave. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area again.

Looked really fun when we walked past. Huge patio and lively. The food was great. Potatoes and appetizer sauce was so sour though. They said it’s supposed to be like that. The waitress was really good. She was patient, quick and checked in as often as she could. View was great and it was relaxing there.
One thing that felt strange and hope it was a coincidence was it seemed they sat all their “foreign guests” on the other side of the sidewalk on another patio.

This is a really great neighbourhood restaurant that has been around forever. The staff is great and the food was really good. Generous portions, almost too much that you could share. Great wine list although I was sad to not see any Greek wines. On Friday night there is a belly dancer and this is fun and entertaining. In the summer months the outside patio is great. It’s right on the road, so you can people watch and they have the trees lit up with sparkling lights. It can be quite romantic

What stood out more than the food was honestly the service. The tall gentleman with specs greeted us with a beautiful smile and was lovely to talk to. He was just a natural with his conversation and his job! They made our first experience at this location beautiful. We would love to come back. Ambience is a 5/5 too!

I came in last weekend for a birthday lunch with my Grandma and we really enjoyed our experience! My Grandma is hard of hearing and this means she usually can’t enjoy going out to restaurants because it’s too loud. We asked to be seated in a quiet area and they sat us away from everyone and even turned the music down. The waitress was amazing as well and spoke very clearly so my Grandma could understand everything she was saying. Overall it was a really lovely experience, me and my Grandma had a blast being able to chat and laugh together, and I wanna say thank you for making it happen!
