what a PERFECT BRUNCH SPOT — every dish, from the savoury to the sweet, was so so yummy.
the cornflakes babka french toast is only available on the weekends but it’s actually a masterpiece. the golden cornflake exterior has such a freshly fried crisp and crunch, the inside babka bread was steaming and SO soft and so fluffy, and there were crunchy nuts sprinkled on top of the very creamy, addicting, slightly bitter espresso cream & tart berry jam; the medley of textures and flavours was just bonkers. the flakes had a hint of a salty flavour, but the inside was oozing with fudgy, rich, super sweet and indulgent hazelnutty chocolate. the caramelized bananas were also super warm and mushy, with a super deep and rich sweetness.
ALSO GET THE POTATO ROSTI because the outside was so crispy but the POTATO INSIDE WAS SO CREAMY and the potato flavour went so so so well with the tangy, mayo-y aioli.

Our experience overall was excellent.
The only negative was the sign-in process to get a table. I won’t go into details as I see it as a one-off human error and not something that should define the restaurant.
The layout is a bit tight, but I’d call it intimate. The décor hits a bistro-rustic vibe that’s very warm and pleasant.
From the moment we were seated onward, everything was first-rate. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made the experience easy and relaxed.
The food was very good and creative in how it refreshed classic dishes. The steak and eggs, for example, were served on a house made deep-fried rice patty, adding a really nice crunch to what’s usually a softer plate. A fun, thoughtful twist that worked extremely well.
We were seated at the bar, which turned out to be a bonus. Watching the baristas and bartenders work, from coffee to cocktails, was entertaining and added to the atmosphere.
Definitely recommend, just be prepared for the table wait process.

Catch 122 Cafe Bistro in West Vancouver is absolutely fantastic. The customer service was amazing. Our waiter was so friendly, easy to chat with, and gave us excellent recommendations. We visited twice during our stay in Vancouver, once for breakfast and once for dessert, and both times were wonderful. Their pastries are incredible, especially the cruffle, which is hands down one of the best I have ever had. I would love to go back again. It was a truly delightful café experience.

We visited this lovely spot twice, from 11th to 18th October. The breakfast was absolutely delightful, with generous portions and presentation that was a feast for the eyes.
Here’s a fun tidbit: the waitress noticed my wife and daughter speaking German, so she greeted us in German too and mentioned she is German. What a delightful surprise in North Vancouver!

Great brunch spot! One of top faves to visit on the north shore. Recommend also trying their banana bread with whipped coffee butter. For this particular brunch my partner got their chicken and fresh toast and he absolutely loved it. The sandwich and chips were delicious, but wasn’t a fan of their pickles- did not have enough crunch for me. Aside from that 10/10

Great little resturant near seabus terminal.
I enjoyed the honey mussle in coconut cream. The pistasio ice cream was also a good hit. Cant go wrong with pallea.
Excellent service and had a cute little complementary chocoate which was also made with a good quality chocolate.

We came here for dinner. Glad we made a reservation because it was packed. We ordered their oysters, seared scallops, prawns linguine, and crispy squid & prawns. All of their seafoods are so fresh, no fishy smell. I love their oysters and linguine. The yolk made the pasta so creamy and tasty. We have the cheesecake as the dessert. The service was quick and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. Close to Longsdale Quay as well, very recommended!

Excellent restaurant, affordable, beautifully prepared dishes, and perfectly balanced flavours. The seared scallops and grilled octopus are true highlights and highly recommended. They also have a great happy hour menu, with oysters at only $1.75. A fantastic spot overall!

Excellent place, clean, good service from the waiters, and the food with a traditional butter and garlic flavor.
But the price does NOT make up for the small portions.
The seafood tower is $140. Really poor seafood for the price.
When I received the bill, the happy hour prices did not exist. They charged the regular price.
I paid $340 for 3 people.
Attached is a pic of the bill.
It's not a place I would recommend.
The price paid does not make up for the small portions received for the seafood with butter and garlic.

Rarely would i publicly acclaim the place i go to escape it all and enjoy in private my secret indulgences: great food, great atmosphere and great people , where everybody knows your name and it just doesnt matter! Discretion rules at my speakeasy on the North Shore since its inception.
yes, i have been coming here since this glorious place was created. I always stop in on may way overseas and i keep coming back because first and foremost The Good Staff are awesome people: from Moshen, Miss March, Charli, Coral , Victoria, Keon Joanna , Valeria, Stasia Marvin TJ and the Modern crew, i have never met anyone who was less than 100% wonderful serving me here.
And they always prepare my food and beverages with Love. And the view is the best bar none on Burrard Inlet.
I highly commend this place for alwsys doing right by this old Happy Soul!

Great service here. Our server was Ram. He was very attentive, polite and professional. I asked for a specific kind of drink and he made sure he got it made just how I like it. The food was good and you get to choose from different options. The atmosphere is pleasant. I would recommend checking this place out.

Casual restaurant located in North Vancouver, just steps away from the Seabus. The food and atmosphere are both great. We arrived during happy hour and got to try a bit of everything. The location and ocean view are unbeatable, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a drink while taking in the beautiful marine scenery.

Came in with friends who has made a reservation. They were still setting our table up. We had an ok dining experience. Yes, we were here to be near the water since I am here visiting and have good eats. My waffles tasted very floury like it wasn't mixed well enough. I enjoyed the berries and compote but felt it might have been to hide the floury taste of the waffles. My friends had a variety of dishes which I did not get pictures of them as they all dug in their dishes before I could and they say it was ok as well.
The service truly was understaffed as we waiting a while before we got our drinks, food and refills. The staff did say they were understaffed but my friends am told that they are always understaffed. However I did see a number of people around that could have helped the others with things but didn't.
Where we were seated was a bit squishy because of the other tables being set up and trying to accommodate each request to get a view of the water.
I may or may not come in for the view, but something needs to drive me in for it. Obviously, it isn't the food at this moment.

Not sure why these guys get the hate. Incredible kind service. Everyone already knows BP food is mid. But they will tune any sports for you, including UFC/MMA when not one other bar/restaurant in the whole district will touch it.
Khem, and other servers were incredible. On the ball and quick to rectify anything.
A gem of a spot. You come here for sports, not the food. And the service is above average for a sports bar. Happy hour is decent and the space has great wifi.

My Mom and I stopped in for dinner. Wow those new Pizza Mozza sticks are SO good. I had the shrimp Mac & cheese and have to say it was all out flavor. Stop in and grab some delicious food and get out of the chilly weather. Our hostess was so wonderful and made our dining experience twice as nice. ⁰

The most pleasant thing was definitely the staff 🙌 – from the reception to the lovely girl who served our table(SIMRANPREE). They weren’t just good, they were excellent 👏 and I really hope management appreciates them!
Prices 💵 and atmosphere 🍻 were great, especially the beer during happy hour 🍺.
Food portions were good 🍽️, and the quality was somewhere between average and good.
Overall: I’d definitely go back again 🔙✨

Unfortunately, my pasta was overcooked, but that's the only hiccup. The ambiance is lovely, and the staff friendly.
Will definitely give it another try. Thanks, Khem, for the great service

It was a bit loud with how busy it was, but to be expected with people having fun and enjoying there night out here. I will be booking a dinner in the future, we'll worth returning! We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for ages, and finally, last night we got to go. The food was amazing, and the German beer was really good too. The music was very entertaining. We’ll definitely be coming back again to try other dishes this time, without the kids, so we can enjoy drinking more alcohol.
David Collins - 4 months ago
I’d heard good things about the food here so I was excited to give it a try. We got off to a rocky start being put at a table temporarily, and then being moved to what we thought was an awful table, on an angle blocking all circulation to the right side of the restaurant. Due to the angle none of the seats actually had space around the chair. After requesting another table we were moved again. This table was much better with proper space to sit. I notice at least a couple other tables were being moved around. Not sure why they just didn’t wait to seat people when the table was ready.
Aside from this initial chaos, our server was very friendly and the food was very good.
I had the Swiss raclette schnitzel and it was delicious! I only wish I had gotten the mushroom sauce to go with it. I tried some of the sauce off my mom’s plate and it was delicious. I like how they brought her sauce on the side. The schnitzel was thin, tender and crispy. While being fried it felt light. Spaetzle was delicious.
We came on a Saturday night and didn’t realize they had live music. The music was good although my mom thought it was a bit loud. There is a small cover charge for music which I don’t have a problem with personally but others at my table didn’t like that.
Overall because the food was so good, I’ll be back.
Jasmine Chin - 2 months ago
It was a fully booked night but they tried very hard to seat us and we really appreciated it. I didn't love the thyme heavy iceberg salad but the rest of the dishes were delicious. Live music was cute. Service was friendly. It wasn't that hot of a day but it was hot and stuffy inside, so it wasn't very comfortable. I was dying to get out of there to get some fresh air. Food wise definitely worth a visit.

Love this place! First time visiting was automatically greeted by rozhin (I definitely spelt her name wrong lol), but she was so kind and showed my friend and I were the gelato and ice cream was. My friend and I are indecisive and she let us know we can sample some of the flavours! 10/10, was such a nice treat during the sunset. Definitely would return when I come back to the shipyards! My friend got the pistachio with a chocolate pistachio dipped cone and I got the white chocolate raspberry!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Overall, it’s a hidden gem that I’d absolutely recommend to anyone looking for great food and great vibes!

The chai and matcha lattes were decent. The strawberry cream cake was meh when we bought at the end of the day. Decent spot if you want a quick bite and have a sweet tooth.
Edit: Replying to the comment. I'm bad with the dessert names but it was the strawberry flavored tiramisu like dessert that was served in a plastic cup. Also, while appreciate the eco-friendly wooden spoons, the ones you have are very fragile. Hope this helps!

Part of large chain located at a prime spot! Though busy times - 5 days before Christmas - getting seats was not all that difficult, thanks to open table app usage. Variety of menu options. Lot of crowding of employees and unmindfully chatting within themselves at the reception counter has to be certainly avoided as it doesn’t spell a class for such a restaurant. Seen a bit disrespectful to the incoming guests! Can have more professional ushering of guests. Food was ok, won’t say top of the class. Atmosphere - too noisy like a bazaar! Layout not that great! Service was great though not warranting a 5 star. Our server was submerged in conversation with a set of guests who were giving their long stories, making us to wait for more than 10 minutes to pay our bill and get out. Needs honing in many areas to deserve all 5 stars. Will think twice to enter again!

I absolutely adore Tap & Barrel Shipyards! We visited several times between 11 October and 18 October 2025, each time at different times. I especially enjoy the wide variety of delicious beers available on tap. Plus, the food is great. I’m generally a big fan of the restaurant’s lively atmosphere and the constant sports coverage on the big screens.
Here’s a fun little story: back in November 2024, on a rather rainy day, I met a lovely couple just because I was wearing my German soccer jersey. So, the restaurant played a part in my good fortune, as I ended up meeting two wonderful people who became friends—and I’ve seen them again this time!

Tap & Barrel in the Shipyards is a fantastic spot with an unbeatable atmosphere. We stopped by recently and ordered the salmon and the burger, and both were absolutely perfect. The salmon was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired with delicious sides. You can tell they really care about quality in their food.
The location itself is beautiful, with waterfront views that make the whole dining experience even more enjoyable—especially around sunset. The vibe is lively but still comfortable, and it feels like the kind of place you can enjoy both a casual meal or a special night out.
Service was great too—friendly, attentive, and fast despite the place being busy. Everything from the food presentation to the overall atmosphere made it a memorable visit.
If you’re in North Vancouver, Tap & Barrel at the Shipyards is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be coming back again soon!

We had the steak frites, one with ribeye and one with sirloin, and our son ordered the kids pizza. The view was amazing and probably the best part of the evening.
The food was ok overall. The steaks came out medium just like we asked which was nice, but the flavor and presentation were pretty average. The kids pizza was simple but our son enjoyed it.
It was not very busy for a Thursday around 6:30 pm and we were seated right away with no wait which was great.
The food did take a little while to arrive considering the place was not packed, but once it came we were able to relax and enjoy the setting. This is definitely the kind of spot where the atmosphere and views make the visit worthwhile even if the food is not the main reason to go.

Loved my visit here! The food was excellent. I had the plant-based options and they were so flavourful. It’s nice to find a spot that really puts effort into making those dishes just as good as everything else on the menu. I also tried the lychee boba drink and it was delicious, super refreshing.
The service was awesome - really friendly and attentive without being over the top. And the view from the outdoor seating is just amazing, the perfect setting to relax and enjoy your food. Tap & barrel restaurants truly have the best happy hour in the city!
This is definitely the kind of place you want to come back to, whether for a casual lunch or a laid-back dinner with friends. Good food, great people, and a cool vibe.

We just had lunch at Anatoli, and the restaurant has a super pleasant greek vibe, it was amazing!
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Sydney, who helped us with our order with a genuine smile and excellent customer service.
When the food arrived… I believe it's the best calamari I’ve ever had, honestly! And the lemon-marinated potatoes with the skewers were so delicious that I’m still craving them.

An absolutely fantastic dining experience at Anatoli! From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and friendly service made us feel right at home.
We ordered the moussaka, lamb youvetsi, and Greek salad — each dish was bursting with authentic Greek flavor and prepared to perfection. The moussaka was rich and comforting, the lamb in the youvetsi was incredibly tender and beautifully seasoned, and the Greek salad was fresh and vibrant with just the right balance of flavors.

We had a wonderful experience at Anatoli Souvlaki. The food did take a little while to arrive, but honestly, it was worth the wait. If you order a beer or a glass of wine and just relax, the time passes easily.
We tried the chicken, prawn, and lamb souvlaki—all of them were excellent. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with a fantastic aroma that made the dishes even more appetizing. The sides, from the rice to the Greek salad and pita, tied the whole meal together beautifully.
Highly recommend this place if you want delicious Greek food and a relaxed dining experience!

I don’t normally leave reviews for nearly anyone, but we stopped here on a whim during the shipyard event. Even though there wasn’t room on the patio for my dog, they graciously made an exception and allowed us to sit in the “non-dog” section because of the busy day, which was a private table area nestled into the corner. Myself and my mother both ordered the garlic shrimp and it was incredible, so much so that we ordered a second round. Appies were on for two for one. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade and the lobster Mac and cheese and they were both incredible also. This place was absolutely fantastic - probably the best place I’ve eaten at in a while. A great little hidden gem - so happy we stumbled on it by accident.

We decided to try out Burgoo for NYE dinner and it ended up being the highlight of our night. We went on a Wednesday and too advantage of the $5 glasses of wine!! Wine was great and I personally really liked our wine glasses.
Also our server, Karsten, was a phenomenal human being and genuinely made us feel welcome and taken care of the entire time. He definitely set the tone and helped us out a bunch!
For food, we got the mini Mac and cheese, French onion soup, and burgoo burger. Everything had that classic comfort food flavour without being too greasy or overwhelming. The burgoo burger is classic and exactly what you expect when you think of a burger without embellishments or frills. The Mac and cheese was comforting but could be a bit cheesier as I found the sauce tasted floury and pasty. Lastly, I think their French onion soup is their signature item that stood out to us the most.
Excited to visit again and bring some family along! Thank you ❤️

Brussell sprout starter was excellent. . They used to have spectacular cauliflower bites (perfect for low carb) but they no longer have them. :(
The grilled cheese & tomato soup combo was “ok”. The sandwich was well grilled but had little flavor. Just a lot of rubbery cheese.
I had high hopes for the soup but it had a taste of alcohol? maybe from concentrated flavors. It wasn’t a nice creamy sweet flavor.
Maybe I am too used to campbell’s (LOL)
They chocolate banana bread pudding TO DIE FOR. I will be back to try another menu choice.

The food was fantastic! We were simply seeking a casual dining experience, and this place completely exceeded our expectations. It was actually quite good, even better than we had anticipated. However, the server appeared a bit overly eager to encourage us to order alcoholic beverages. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience was great. I also enjoyed the restaurant’s design and the lively atmosphere.

Cute little Sushi Place. I got the Crunch Roll and Tempura. Very tasty and pretty decent for it’s price. Staff is friendly and nice. The restaurant is kinda small but it’s okay. I just noticed that the sushi stucks on the paper plate. Hoping they use a nonstick disposable plates if that would be possible to avoid sticking. Overall the experience is good. A must try !

We took the SeaBus over the bay for lunch and settled on this little charming place.
Good food with affordable price. Limited space for sitting so you may have to wait or do takeout.
