Excellent as other White Spot locations. We had 2 different salads and some sweet potato fries. The salads were fresh and the portions generous. Didn't wait long to be seated nor to get the orders.

I’m not from Vancouver and I’m such a fan of this chain. It has the best options and a lot of good ones but not an overwhelming amount. We had a large group and they did a great job accommodating that. The food was 10/10. Service 9/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Speed 10/10. Had a great experience here. Side note: the Spiked Chocolate Espresso Shake drink is amazing, it gives you alcohol, caffeine and it’s cold. It has it all😍

A good old traditional White Spot. We have been here many times and we always have a good experience. We have also had the Turkey dinner special for Thanksgiving and it's great! The only downside is that I feel like the menu has always been the same for years, and while most foods are great, some of them need a bit of innovation. But that's just my personal view.

This location is notorious for forgetting items with takeout orders. Constantly things are forgotten. This time I ordered eggs Benny to go , no hash browns. The meal itself is about $20 so you'd expect better.
Please do better quality control.

Ordered online for pickup. Free Siu mai for $58 purchase before tax. Ordered a huge feast today and every dish was well made. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Best fav dish was the Golden Fried and Sauteed fish with snap peas. The fried fish was crispy. Deep fried egg tofu with enoki mushroom was good. Rice noodle with fish and scrambled eggs was good. Lots of fish! Egg with shrimp was very good. Salted egg yolk prawn with squash was very good. Fried rice with salted fish and chicken was fantastic and not overly salty. Curry beef brisket was OK. House special ranch chicken was better than the steamed white chicken.

Best Service with the best quality of food. It's definitely worth a visit, and our server Donna really made a meal, I'll revisit just because of her. Words are not enough to describe how I felt from here. It was the best starting of my birthday ever!

One of the better Denny's I've been to. Decent mashed potatoes and a solid 5 Pepper-sauced Burger. Service was great and friendly, especially for 4am! The food is always going to be average but no one is ever coming to Denny's for 5-star dining.
Good bang for your buck.. will visit again if I'm in the area.

Exemplary Service Elevates a Fine Breakfast at Denny's, thank you Donna !
On a peaceful Thanksgiving Monday, my family and I sought a hearty morning meal at Denny's. The ambience exuded a blend of modern charm and classic diner comfort as we settled into our seats.
Our chosen fares, the Steak and Eggs breakfast, Slim Fit, and Chocolate Banana Pancakes were prepared to perfection, offering a delightful blend of savory and sweet flavors that catered to our diverse tastes.
The highlight of our dining experience was the exemplary service provided by our server, Donna. Her professionalism, combined with a genuine warmth, made our meal exceedingly pleasant. Donna exhibited a remarkable attentiveness, ensuring our cups were promptly refilled and our culinary needs met with a swift, courteous demeanor.
Despite the bustling atmosphere typical of a holiday morning, Donna's exceptional service was unwavering, embodying the hospitable essence of Denny’s. Her stellar service significantly enriched our dining experience, leaving a lasting impression of hospitality and excellence.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Donna for her commendable dedication to service, making our Thanksgiving breakfast at Denny's a cherished family memory. Through her exceptional service, Donna showcased the epitome of hospitality, making our visit to Denny's a truly gratifying experience.

Today was my birthday and I came into Denny's (Coquitlam Branch). I was expecting a free breakfast while paying for my coffee and gratuities. Sandy, the waitress who served me greeted me with a big smile upon being seated.
The Grand Slam was what I ordered, the portion was huge especially the pancakes and I couldn't even finish it!
To my surprise, the waitresses ended up covering my coffee and wouldn't even let me pay! I just want to say thank you to the team here at Denny's for making it great start to my birthday!

This North Road location served up some tasty and fresh sushi. Compared to the other Korean sushi chain their quality seem to be better. We enjoyed the Korean inspired stone rice bowl very much. It will be a staple from here on whenever we're in the area!
Florence Wong (Flo) - 4 months ago
I’ve ordered here frequently for years and usually the same things. Tonight the sushi was loose and mushy inside with missing ingredients and the chicken wasn’t fully breaded. Unfortunately their customer service & food standards are low as they didn’t see an issue with my order. I won’t be coming back as I don’t feel like rolling the dice on it again. (They offered me a credit for miso and salad for a future order, which I don’t usually order and is not comparable in price.) It’s okay if you have an off night, but the customer service is what I’ve taken issue with and I don’t feel confident in returning.

It's been a while since I was here, but I was very pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I think it's tastier than before (1yr ago). We were there for lunch during the week and I have to say, the service was excellent. All the servers were super helpful, attentive and friendly. I'm definitely coming back soon.

Sushi at first sight…
If my memory recalls correctly, this was the first Sushi California I came to when they first opened. I think it’s safe to say they have upgraded their menu and quality ever since then plus opened up a few more locations throughout the lower mainland.
The service is always decently good, the food is quite decent for its price compared to similar restaurants, and the casual atmosphere here makes dining somewhat relaxing and casual for all.
This time around, I ordered the following to go;
1. Assorted sashimi. Everything was fresh and of good portion. However, I think they forgot the deep fried heads from the amaebi? And they didn’t separate each individual sashimi properly. Rule #1 do not and never let a different fish or sashimi contaminate each other!!
2. Spider futomaki. All the ingredients were fresh and the soft shell crab still retained its light crunch. Seemed a little less messy to eat than the regular spider roll?
3. Salmon, tuna, ikura and uni nigiris. Very fresh, good portion especially the uni nigiris, very generous amount. And the rice was nicely cooked and seasoned.
4. Bluefin trio nigiris (Akami, chu toro, o toro). They were super fresh, buttery, beautiful colours, and of generous portion. It’s only $18 for the set, it’s a steal! Loved it!
I seldom dine in at this location now because the shared parking lot with other restaurants could be a challenge during peak hours. However there are street parkings available.
The service is always decently good here, well at least for me. Plus their sushi and sashimi are always fresh besides this time around, didn’t like how the sashimi all mingled together in the take out box.
I really don’t recall a bad experience with any of the Sushi California locations yet (knock on wood).
For some casual sushi, I think this is the safe recommendation. At least it’s Sushi at first sight for me.
Solid 3.5 stars from me

I regularly shop here for bread- always been fresh and delicious. Recently I've been unhappy with their customer service. Usually I pick my bread, they ask how I like my slices to be and I always ask for thin cuts.
Yesterday, they sold me already cut slices and insisted the bread was the thin cut possible even when I told them it doesn't look thin as I usually get it. I'm having this bread for breakfast and no, this is not the right cut I wanted. I'm disappointed and feel that they try to sell out whatever they've cut before and push those on people. It's the first time this has happened to me at any Cobs bread location- getting precut bread or someone insisting on selling precut breads despite of a customer requesting a specific cut. Overall, will not be very happy finishing this bread.

First time here, we ordered 30 oysters, onion rings, calamari from HH menu, and the sablefish from dinner menu.
Taste 0.5/1*
All HH menu items were great! Oysters were fresh, I loved the batter on both the calamari and onion rings, though wife found them a bit spicy.
As for the sablefish…that was quite the disappointment, especially considering it’s price tag. In my better half’s words ‘this is something I’d make at home’.
Also, not sure if this is standard, but sablefish had lots of bones in it still 🤔
Value 0.5/1*
HH definitely good value, dinner menu not off to a good start
Service 0.5/1*
Very friendly but the service was a little slow as there was only 1 server 1 manager 1 bartender and well over 10 tables
Cleanliness 1/1*
No complaints
Overall/Revisit 1/1*
Would definitely revisit for HH
Paying for ambience? 0/-1*
MAYBE for dinner menu
Above and beyond? +1/+1*
YES - they were very thoughtful and placed us on the other side of restaurant as we had a stroller, was away from the crowd but still center of all the action

The Buck A Shuck oysters here during happy hour are awesome! It’s hard to find true buck a shuck these days. The ambience is also very upscale with comfy leather lounge chairs, candlelight’s on the tables, and live music. Service was excellent.
The food is more average but overall good. They have great happy hour deals. The oysters and wings were both good. We liked how the wings came with carrots, celery, and ranch sauce. The prime rib sliders were juicy but way oversalted such that the saltiness kinda burned your tongue like a salt rinse, but it was still edible. Likewise, the pork ribs were again very oversalted and dry. The nachos were good but the guacamole and salsa they use is like the premade ones from Costco which don’t taste homemade and are not made from scratch.
The drinks were great. It’s a nice place.

Dine Out Vancouver Festival at The Wild Fig Restaurant And Bar in Coquitlam.
The DOV menu + Live music
Really great ambience with a live musician and the Dine Out menu. Menu is 3 courses and perfectly priced at 45$ per person.
Appy:
Sweet Crispy Battered Prawns (5/5)
🍤 🦐 🍤 🦐
The Squash Puree and the garlic was the perfect finish for the me with the crispy Prawn texture.
Main:
Huli Huli Grilled Chicken Thighs (4/5)
🍗🍗🍗🍗
Nicely done on the meat, could use a little more sauce but tasted wholesome and the veggies were plenty.
My friends went with the Short Ribs option.
Dessert:
White Chocolate Mousse Praline (5/5)
🍰🍰🍰🍰
The Raspberry sorbet was the perfect pairing. I thought the serving was a little big for one person.
I also tried their wine pairing offering: See Ya Later Gewürztraminer 🍷 🥂
I was curious about this place because of their 3.9 star Google review so I decided to dig deeper. Most reviews are for the hotel or event reviews for the banquet/catering services. Restaurant is also part of the Executive Hotel so I understand how the reviews can get mixed up.
I would give this place a solid 4/5. Staff was really nice, on top of things and the musician was very nice too. 👌

Happy hour buck-a-shuck 3pm-6pm is wonderful. West coast oysters were surprisingly very fresh and tasty. We initially ordered x6 to sample their oysters, and they were great quality, so we ordered another dozen. Also had their HH draft beer ($6; I had their Bridge Brewery bourbon blood orange). Overall, very pleasantly surprised and will come back again to try other menu items. Service was very good, personable and attentive.

We love exploring Happy Hour menus, and our recent discovery, The Wild Fig in Coquitlam, is on the other side of North Road, closer to the Burnaby side.
Highlights from their menu include $1 West Coast Oysters, fresh and sweet with a mild fruity finish, the oversized Cancun Tacos Fish, and a hearty Alberta Prime Rib Triple Cheeseburger, a full entree during Happy Hour. Generous portions, amazing flavours, and unbeatable prices make it money well spent! 💸✨
And here's a surprise – The Wild Fig isn't just a restaurant; it's part of the Executive Hotel, offering a contemporary experience with a bar and lounge twist. 🌲🍷

Had an amazing meal at this Persian restaurant tucked away inside a mall in Vancouver. It had been ages since I last had Ghormeh Sabzi, and it did not disappoint – truly comforting with awesome taste that felt like a hug in a bowl. Being in a mall, the seating is shared, which is pretty standard, but don’t let that deter you. The vibe was still cozy and welcoming. Definitely a gem worth checking out for a taste of authentic Persian cuisine. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!

Ordered a Carne Picante. Its advertised in the photos as having sauces on the top of the pizza as shown in the photo attached, and at all the locations I have been to (new west, metro, downtown, lonsdale), they sell it as advertised. This location however, charges you extra for sauces and therefore do not add it to the pizza despite their advertisings on the website for this location. When I go to a McDonald’s and order a big mac that in photos are advertised with lettuce and tomatoes, AND is served with such at the locations I have been to, I expect lettuce and tomatoes every time. I give it two stars because the employee, or maybe the owner, offered a medium pizza in exchange for the error. He said it would be fixed for the future but I doubt it so I probably just wont go there again.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place while I was walking my dog. At the time, I could smell the delicious aroma and my dog was pulling me towards the store. I tied my dog to the door handle, and the staff noticed us and greeted us warmly. I initially wanted to try the vegetarian flavor, but it was not available, so I ordered one slice of Pollo Eccellente and one slice of POLLO PESTO for takeout. Both had grilled chicken and tasted great without being too salty. The pizza crust was very thin and had a good texture. I highly recommend these two flavors, and I would definitely come back if I have the chance.
