Pleasant decor and view in the restaurant but rude host and below average food. Prawn and avocado bowl had 3 tiny shrimps and no avocado. Drinks were great though. Server was also polite.

If you’re looking for a burger that tastes like heaven, you should definitely try this place. We ordered a Monty Mushroom and a Double Double. With one of the burgers we also got fries, which they served with a tasty and unique coleslaw. Our total for two burgers, fries, and two drinks (Coke and Mango No No Mojito) came to $55.88.
Our server’s name, I think, was Katrina, and she was such a positive and energetic person. Hope to see you again:)

Came in around 1pm the restaurant was emptying out. The host was nice and sat us in a big booth. Did was really good. I like over medium eggs, most places do them to soft. These were perfect. The food runner was helpful. But the servers in mine and two other sections around ours were no where to be seen. She didn't check up on the food until we were almost done. People in two other areas were looking for their servers too, the table across from us waiting for the bill and one by the windows, we all had separate servers. I notice because I work as a waitress.

Had such a lovely time here. The team made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food tasted homemade in the best way—fresh, flavourful, and comforting. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Been coming here for years, maybe once or twice a year. Never disappoints. Still using the trolleys for dim sum, so traditional! Ambience really Chinese, waitresses are pleasant. Just make sure you order lunch or dinner specials in stead of just ticking the (more expensive) boxes. Always busy, sk a good sign!
Ton V - 2 weeks ago
Very standard dim sum experience.
The rolling dim sum carts, decadent steamed buns, crispy fried dumpling with gooey insides, and the tea is quite pleasant. The servers are friendly, homourous, and attentive in making your meal an enjoyable, memorable experience.
Besides that, shrimp siu mai was and steamed rice flour roll w/fried dough were the best I have had in a long time.
The seating area is nice and spacious. Definitely a family meal experience and great for large gatherings.
Portion sizes are huge and I definitely was not expecting that. Was always used to dim sum with smaller servings and a hyper focus on flavour with timely services.

Yan’s Garden is the place to go! The highlight for me was definitely the dim sum cart service — it’s such a fun and nostalgic touch you don’t see as often anymore. Fresh dishes are constantly being wheeled around, and everything we tried was hot, flavorful, and authentic. Favorites were the har gow, siu mai, and crispy shrimp rolls. Service was quick and friendly, and the lively atmosphere made the meal even better. Highly recommend for a true dim sum feast!

It is easy to drive and park. The atmosphere here is ok but you will see more senior people. The staff are well trained, charming and professional. The quality of food is not the best but the quality is acceptable with this price range. Don’t miss the free Birthday Grand Slam breakfast!

Hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in years. Donna was absolutely amazing attentive, friendly, and made me feel genuinely cared for the entire time. It’s rare to come across service this good anymore. I tipped big because she truly earned it. She deserves a raise and should absolutely be considered for a promotion. Denny’s is lucky to have her!

Everyone in my fam enjoyed their meal here including my toddler. The pancake was a real star, super fluffy and buttery. The egg benny was pretty good too, steak omelette was super tender, sausage and fries?..all amazing! The waiter was extremely kind and attentive too, will definitely come back. They open 24/7 btw.

A couple of friends and I went to Denny's to catch up with our life's news.
What to order? There are so many yummy things in the menu it is hard to choose.
To starts, I do not drink coffee and everyone does. But I asked for a decaf with 60% hot water and a few milks. That tasted nice! The server was very cooperative with this unusual request
One friend ordered the Bourbon Chicken Sizzilin' Skillet. It looks impressive and I think it also tastes fantastic
Another friend ordered an omelet with hash browns, bacon and a substitute from toast to a pancake.
I had the turkey dinner for 55+
It had mash potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, broccoli, toast and I chose a salad.
There is this particular lady server who seems very familiar with my friends and is extremely nice and friendly.
I love her. She is kind, caring, friendly, smiles with a big natural smile, no fake smiles or forced, she also makes sure we are well looked after, she makes you feel like a valued customer.
I asked her permission to take a photo and put it in my review.
I will definitely go back next time I meet friends in Coquitlam.

The sushi is disappointing! In the first set, the rolls are barely covered with fish, looking like they just threw some scraps on top — you can see it in the photo where the fish is a thin layer barely covering the rice, with the filling inside seeming random. In the second set, everything is mixed up and falling apart: the sauces are smeared, the rolls are crumbling, and the roe and filling are scattered chaotically, creating a messy look. The avocado and radish on the side don’t help salvage the impression of this disorder. The quality is extremely poor! The sushi we ordered last time was much better!
I ordered a smoked salmon roll (note: the cream cheese should be removed from the name, as it’s only the name). It’s very sparse. The photo is attached.

In a regular weeknight we stopped by an corner Japanese restaurant located at a busy intersection in Coquitlam, North road. Everyone must show up to be seated. Parking was very tight and busy. Food served really slow. Appearantly they prioritize take away orders. We ordered a deluxe sashimi and a basic sashimi to compare, shown in pictures. Once we finished, they came asked if we want to bill, starting to tidy up the table and tried to kick us out. It was a line at door though. So I'll say if you're only for a fast food place then this could be an option.

My husband and I went for a sushi date night at sushi California, it was really busy but they had plenty of staff and handled the rush very well. Our food came quite quickly! The sushi was delicious and fresh, the staff were so kind and attentive. For all you sushi lovers, this place is 100% a must try!

When my friends said “Creamy tiger shrimp pasta at Sushi California tastes great”, I doubt it. Who order pasta at Sushi restaurant? I did and it was delicious 🤤
And their Sake Don never disappoints me.
Always serves thick and fresh salmon sashimi. I can’t order Sake Don at other sushi restaurants because I know Sushi California has the best☺️
Prices are very reasonable as well!
Parking is hard to find at the spot. I recommend to park nearby the restaurant.

The restaurant is located in the hotel lobby and features a spacious, open layout. They offer a happy hour from 4 to 6 PM where oysters are priced at $1.70 each. The oysters are very fresh, and the staff are friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

I’m giving this place two stars mainly because the front service staff were outstanding — friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the food quality didn’t match the service. The eggs benedict were served cold, and several other dishes were disappointing. The croissants tasted either old or left out too long, making them stale. At $29 per adult before tax and tip, there are plenty of better options in the area. I had planned to return for their Wednesday prime dinner, but after this experience, I’ll have to pass.

Went here yesterday for my birthday dinner and had a GREAT time.
Service was friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious (we shared the cauliflower appetizer and both had the lamb shank -- both were very good).
Two singers on the stage were very talented and were happy to take requests and even acknowledged all the birthdays being celebrated (3 in total!).
The vibe was on point.
Prices are decent considering everything these days is stupid expensive.
Gave 4 stars for atmosphere because everyone was dressed pretty casually despite it being a nice restaurant. There also wasn't too many people which we found surprising. BUT the people that were there were there (staff, patrons and entertainers) very friendly and approachable which made the ambience super enjoyable.

I tend to approach hotel restaurants with caution since, in my experience, they usually fall into one of three categories: great for brunch, painfully mediocre because they cater mostly to breakfast, room service, and one-time hotel guests, or top-tier establishments with price tags to match. But we wanted live music, and Wild Fig was the closest option. Since they are clearly aiming for an above-average dining experience, I’ll be a bit critical because attention to detail was definitely lacking.
The good: service was solid, Korean cauliflower was fantastic—flavorful with just the right texture, not a mushy mess (which is harder to achieve than people think). Ossobuco was decent, and oysters were very fairly priced. The not-so-good: while the sablefish itself was nice, they topped it with an already blackened avocado and a careless handful of cilantro stems, which just screamed sloppy execution. I’m struggling to picture the moment when someone in the kitchen saw that and thought, "Yep, send it out." The mignonette, which is just vinegar and shallots, somehow managed to be unimpressive. The berry crumble was an unstructured mess. And the live music—the whole reason we came—never happened, despite being confirmed.
It wasn’t a disaster, and the food wasn’t bad, but it was a subpar experience for a place trying to be more than just another hotel restaurant. That said, I’ll give it another shot—happy hour oyster prices are hard to ignore, and that cauliflower is calling me back. But I suspect that’s about as far as my expectations will go with this place.

We were hungry & looked around for a happy hour with a twist. As we saw the Wild Fig restaurant in Coquitlam, we gave it a chance.
We found it inside the Executive Plaza Hotel. The parking is free, you just have to register with the hotel reception.
The atmosphere was breezy, relaxed and we forgot right away about the outside heat. Our lovely waitress Gaga showed us the menu for happy hour and made us feel welcomed. Even if it' s a shorter menu, you still have some good choices for a light lunch/ dinner. We had the beef sliders, the pork ribs, fries and some oysters. We loved the oysters & pork ribs. The beers on draught were good and quite decent priced. We finish our meal with the decadent desert.
We'll be back to try the lamb osso bucco. For sure it was fun, relaxing and our waitress made our stay more enjoyable. Thank you Gaga!

Came here for brunch with a big group of friends.
Pros: easy reservation system. Lots of paid parking available ($2/hr). Central location. Space is nice and new, seats are comfy. We ordered a latte and the coffee was really good, and a large cup for the price.
As for the cons.. the food...I ordered the avo crodise and added sausage. I want to be clear...i think the ingredients were all high quality and fresh.
However, the flavours of the dish just don't make sense together...why are all of these foods touching? The temperatures of the food was also inconsistent so it was a very weird experience. The salad had a lot of balsamic and it would have been good just on its own on the plate. The egg and ricotta didn't really make sense with the croffle. The ricotta added nothing to the flavour or texture of the dish. The croffle was a bit "gummy" in texture, I think it was underdone. The sausage was good. Avocado was perfectly ripe.
The service was also spotty...they brought everyone but one's dish out and didn't even tell us when or if the last one was coming. I waited 5 mins then flagged someone to ask. Service was a bit disorganized.
This is one of those place that looks photogenic but is not tasty. I was very confused by the dish and I don't think I'll be back. It's too bad because the space is very nice.

We came to EGGBOMB+ for a late brunch across from The City of Lougheed Shopping Centre and had an amazing experience. First of all—they accept reservations, which is a huge plus since this place is getting a lot of buzz. We had high expectations, and they fulfilled our expectations.
The interior is modern, bright, and super clean, creating a welcoming space for a chill brunch date or a casual hangout with friends.
We tried a few of their signature items and were super impressed:
• Teriyaki Beef Sandwich – Massive portion and so good. The egg yolk on top and tender beef – this is a must-try!!!
• Bacon Crodise – Crispy croffle topped with crunchy bacon and a perfectly poached egg. Pure perfection!
• Truffle Pasta – Creamy, rich, and comforting. Portion size was generous.
• Volcaffles with Ice Cream – Dessert is non-negotiable for us. The warm waffles and ice cream were the ultimate finish to our brunch.
• Pistachio Latte – Nutty, smooth, and not too sweet. The flavour was so unique. Loved it.
• Fresh Mango Latte – Super refreshing and fruity.
We've been to many brunch spots around Metro Vancouver, but EGGBOMB+ surprised us in the best way. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors in every dish were bold and well-balanced. It really feels like premium brunch without the premium price tag.
✨EGGBOMB+ is officially on our top brunch list.✨ We will be back for more!

Finally Eggbomb is in Burnaby. I've been to the one in Langley a few times and their food and drinks are both tasty and pretty. There is a large drinks menu and a different types of brunch meals. I tried the "Fighter" French Toast, it came with 2 types of eggs on top, eggs benny and egg salad with prosciutto. The savoury and sweet flavour plus the fluffy French toast was excellent. Will definitely come back.

To start with the atmosphere here is definitely upbeat and young. If you are not looking to be shoulder to shoulder with strangers, this isn’t the place for you.
Food is worth the pricing. It’s a little pricier than most places but does have good quality. Not over salted or anything like that. The drinks however are overpriced and they don’t look anything like the pictures shown on their menu. They look like they have been rushed together. They taste okay, but still overpriced for what they are.
Service is where they need some help. They all look great and friendly, but to get their attention to order or pay can be a big task. There are plenty of staff around, but none seem to be organized. We had 5 different servers at our table which is ridiculous. They even ask you to slow down when taking orders because it takes them an astronomical amount of time to just click a few buttons on a screen.
Overall I think if they had some training and organization of staff, this could be a great place, but right now giving it 3 stars is being generous due to the service.

Nice place great atmosphere, lots for menu items. Deserts and drinks looked very good. We went for brunch. We got the basil and pistachio bliss rigatoni pasta dish, which was really good. Fresh and creamy we were pleasantly surprised. I also got the teriyaki beef Egg bomb sandwich talked with egg. It was huge had to tip it over and tear it apart to eat it which was a lot of fun. Overall had a good time.

I came in for a dinner at around 7 PM today and really like the cut of the meat of the pork and the beef. I really enjoyed the seafood pancake, but in my opinion, compared to the other ones that I’ve had it was definitely on the smaller side. The ambiance of the Korean barbeque was very spacious, with a very great energy where the staff had multiple birthday parties that they were helping to celebrate.
Our server was great and did her best in helping us cook food but clearly it was a very busy day. She helped us cook the meat and then walked away to her other tables and was doing her best, but we had to flip our own meat because it was getting a bit too burn on one side and our server was occupied at another table.
We had to ask a few times to get a picture or more water so I feel like that because there was a few big parties, that might have caused a little bit of a harder time for the staff to be attentive but overall the dining was good.
I am not sure if we had to pay for the refills, but we were never offered any and so that was one thing I wasn’t sure about. We ended the dinner with a kimchi fried rice, and I think the flavour was a bit, lacking, some sesame oil, but it was overall ok.
The highlight would be the fire show, which is they lit the wire while cooking the pork belly.
I think I was a bit excited seeing the reviews but it was just ok for my experience today.

I had a wonderful experience here! The owner is genuinely passionate about running the restaurant and treats both the food and the team with real care. You can feel the effort and heart in every detail—from the way the dishes are prepared to the warm, attentive service. The Stone Korean BBQ is authentic and delicious, with flavors that truly remind me of Seoul. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and good vibes!

Wow, I can’t believe there’s a place like this in Vancouver!! The meat quality is absolutely top-notch!! The atmosphere just makes you want to drink, and the staff are so friendly—there’s really nothing lacking here. Even the washrooms are spotless, with a bidet and Dyson sink! You can tell they’ve paid attention to every single detail. It’s definitely the perfect spot to bring foreign friends. Places in Vancouver that serve beef belly are rare, but they have it here, and the fried rice they make on the hot stone at the end is a must-try specialty!! I really hope more people give this place a try—it’s something everyone will love!

The entrance to the restaurant is not directly on the roadside — you need to go up the stairs from Austin Road to reach it.
A very distinctive Korean BBQ restaurant. The grilled pork belly is especially good, and the side dishes are refillable. The prices aren’t low, but I think they’re reasonable for what you get. The tableside service is excellent — it’s the kind of place I’d happily tip a little extra.

In general it was good.
It wasnt really clear we can make a reservation or not. There is nothing on website.
Thankfully we got in right a way,
I guess because they cook meat for you, price is much more than regular.
However meat was ok. Not like… amazing.
Some of them bit smelly for me.
Also, store wasnt that busy but one server take care many table at once. They overcooked the meat…
I went there as business purpose, so I didnt want to make things big deal.
But still if I pay extra, should be better.
