Pleasant decor and view in the restaurant but rude host and below average food. Prawn and avocado bowl had 3 tiny shrimps and no avocado. Drinks were great though. Server was also polite.

If you’re looking for a burger that tastes like heaven, you should definitely try this place. We ordered a Monty Mushroom and a Double Double. With one of the burgers we also got fries, which they served with a tasty and unique coleslaw. Our total for two burgers, fries, and two drinks (Coke and Mango No No Mojito) came to $55.88.
Our server’s name, I think, was Katrina, and she was such a positive and energetic person. Hope to see you again:)

White spot is one of those places that is always good. The service is attentive, kind, effervescent and efficient. I love the burgers, the substitutions, the mocktails and especially the appys. Happy hour for two people is affordable & fun!
Give it a try!!

One of the best choices for brunch. The fruit salad was incredibly fresh, and the braised beef benedict was perfectly marinated and full of flavor. Along with the friendly and polite staff, I truly enjoyed everything and have added this place to my recommendation list

Pretty solid dimsum option with the old school style push carts! Food tastes fresh, around $10 per item. Within walking distance of Lougheed skytrain as well :)
Annie Chu - 3 weeks ago
Dim sum here was fantastic! This place gets packed for a reason. I love that they have the carts which roam around so you can see the items and try new things. The fried squid and spare ribs were some of the best I've tried!
Update: came back to try dinner. Everything was so good, this place has quickly become my favorite place for Chinese. Highly recommend.
Anthony B - 2 weeks ago
Our favorite place to go with our friend Virginia. It's great food, great family friendly atmosphere, and always a great time. They serve dim sum and various Chinese dishes. Our friend always orders for us but everything tastes great. The place can get packed with people but is absolutely worth any wait you might have. Check it out if you can!
Naomi Kragh - a month ago
We had late lunch, the restaurant was busy. Dimsum tasted mediocre but we loved the house special chicken for only $10 if you reached $60 for dine in orders before tax. We asked for drinking water many times and was passed around everytime amd was told to order from the waitress??? Who is the waitress they wore same uniform! We never got water ☹️. Ordering was not as organized too, we were given the wrong bill.
T Tan - 3 months ago
Been coming here for years, maybe once or twice a year. Never disappoints. Still using the trolleys for dim sum, so traditional! Ambience really Chinese, waitresses are pleasant. Just make sure you order lunch or dinner specials in stead of just ticking the (more expensive) boxes. Always busy, sk a good sign!

100% nostalgia. The aroma when I walked in brought me back to the comfort of going to a diner. The food is fresh and not greasy. It just didn't have the big portions you would expect at a diner. Keep in mind this isn't a posh breakfast place so I am comparing it with other diners. The service was exceptional. Rick was friendly. I was eating alone and he made it comfortable and welcoming. I can understand why so many people are here and wonder why I stopped going.

We came on a rainy night and was warmly greeted by Minoo, who brought us to our table. She was really cheerful and friendly, and throughout our meal, she came around multiple times to make sure we were okay and enjoying ourselves.
We ordered the sirloin steak, country fried chicken, and a couple of smoothies. The steak was flavorful and tender, while the chicken patties were scrumptiously crunchy. Each entree came with two sides and garlic toast. Serving sizes were not overly huge but they were quite enough for our appetite.
This was our first time at Denny's, and frankly we were amazed at Minoo's attentive service. We will definitely be back again to try other dishes.

It is easy to drive and park. The atmosphere here is ok but you will see more senior people. The staff are well trained, charming and professional. The quality of food is not the best but the quality is acceptable with this price range. Don’t miss the free Birthday Grand Slam breakfast!

We meet here regularly with friends early in the morning, and it has become one of our favorite spots.
Rick, the stylish and friendly server, always remembers us and welcomes us with such a warm attitude—it truly makes a difference.
The breakfasts are generous and satisfying, and the endless refills of coffee and tea are absolutely fantastic.
Great food, great service, and a place that feels genuinely welcoming every time we visit. Highly recommended for a relaxed morning gathering.

I had a surprisingly great experience here during a late dinner with a friend.
The vibe was welcoming, and while the menu leans toward the "Vancouver-style" Japanese joints often run by Koreans, the quality of execution was up there - above the local average.
Personal Audit:
• Food Quality: 4.5/5 (Authentic flavours, fresh tempura, and thoughtful toppings)
• Service: 5/5 (Extremely attentive; our tea was refilled 6+ times in an hour - hopefully servers are compensated accordingly)
• Cost Efficiency: 4/5 (Not the cheapest, but the quality justifies the spend)
• Return Factor: Yes
Quick Tip: The Korean Chirashi Don is the standout - huge toppings and authentic taste. If you're looking to optimize the bill, the Chirashi is filling enough on its own to skip the side tempura.

The sushi is disappointing! In the first set, the rolls are barely covered with fish, looking like they just threw some scraps on top — you can see it in the photo where the fish is a thin layer barely covering the rice, with the filling inside seeming random. In the second set, everything is mixed up and falling apart: the sauces are smeared, the rolls are crumbling, and the roe and filling are scattered chaotically, creating a messy look. The avocado and radish on the side don’t help salvage the impression of this disorder. The quality is extremely poor! The sushi we ordered last time was much better!
I ordered a smoked salmon roll (note: the cream cheese should be removed from the name, as it’s only the name). It’s very sparse. The photo is attached.

In a regular weeknight we stopped by an corner Japanese restaurant located at a busy intersection in Coquitlam, North road. Everyone must show up to be seated. Parking was very tight and busy. Food served really slow. Appearantly they prioritize take away orders. We ordered a deluxe sashimi and a basic sashimi to compare, shown in pictures. Once we finished, they came asked if we want to bill, starting to tidy up the table and tried to kick us out. It was a line at door though. So I'll say if you're only for a fast food place then this could be an option.

The food is worth the price. It is not crazy good or crazy bad, but it tastes like sushi you’d to get at a restaurant at this level. The salmon king and salmon mountain are pretty good.

This is our fourth time visiting this restaurant, and it never disappoints! It came highly recommended by a friend who lives nearby, and we’ve loved it ever since. Great happy hour experience with the lovely lady Gaga serving us with some most impressive apps with a surprisingly affordable bill even with a couple of boozy drinks alongside. Short ribs were meaty as were the sliders and the baja tacos were crispy and comparable to the ones I recently had in Puerto Vallarta. Even loved the cauliflower fries topped with a delicious tangy sauce. Booth setting made sitting beside my wife a pleasure in a causally classy atmosphere with plenty of screens to watch the Olympics. Not your typical average hotel bar, this place served it up proper. Thanks Gaga and team! Appreciate the prompt and warm service with smiles!

Whenever my partner and I go out for oysters, we can’t help but think of this hidden gem in Coquitlam. Their happy hour is what keeps drawing us back. The oysters are generally good — quality can vary by season (wasn't the best experience in the recent visit), but on average they’re solid and reasonably priced.
On the food side, the fried calamari, fries, and onion rings on the happy hour menu are all very good. Some of the more “creative” items, like beef ribs, dumplings, and sushi rolls, are just average and not particularly memorable. That said, we keep coming back for the oysters, the drinks, and the relaxed, quiet atmosphere. It’s a great spot when you want somewhere comfortable and low-key.
We’ve also tried their dinner and holiday menu, and the quality is good as well — honestly above average compared to typical restaurants. The pricing is reasonable, which is why this has become one of our regular go-to restaurants.
A hidden gem in Coquitlam that’s definitely worth recommendingy.

We visited this hotel restaurant on a Wednesday, which happened to be their Prime Rib Wednesday special — and it turned out to be a solid choice. We first ordered two prime rib dinners for ourselves. Each plate came with a generous portion of tender, warm prime rib, served alongside grilled vegetables, a classic Yorkshire pudding, and creamy mashed potatoes. While it wasn’t the absolute best prime rib we’ve ever had, it was tasty, comforting, and definitely worth returning for.
The kids originally planned to order something else, but after seeing (and sampling) our plates, they quickly changed their minds. We ended up ordering a third prime rib dinner — a clear sign that the dish appealed to the whole family.
That night was also a celebration for my wife and daughter, and the restaurant staff added a wonderful personal touch. The server brought out a chocolate cake dessert topped with a sparkling candle, which made the moment feel extra special. We also ordered an additional dessert — a mix of ice-cream and sorbet — which was refreshing and quite enjoyable.
Overall, the experience was warm, satisfying, and pleasantly memorable. If you’re craving beef — especially on a Wednesday — this prime rib special is definitely worth giving a try.

didn’t take a lot of pictures of the food because i was focusing more on the present company. however, everything we tried was amazing! enjoyed the happy hour menu, will come back for the regular one. most memorable items for me were the oysters, calamari, wild fig martini (extra sweet) and the sliders. most notable part of our experience was the service. Heyson was so kind and had great energy. first thing we all said to each other after the first order
great place for solo, couples and group visits. felt lowkey and great for hotel guests staying there to check out

Ok, first of all I want to explain the 4 out of 5 stars I have give this establishment. It's a pizza joint, in the mall, with quality of service one would expect to receive from a mall location fast food/pizza joint. So therefore the I reserve the 5th star for the one of a kind, higher end, some would say "High end" restaurant's. I kinda wish I could modify the star count "_out of 5 or "_ out of 4" based on the place under review.
Anyways, yes 4 stars is an excellent rating for this Fresh Slice pizza. Service was friendly and professional, Cleanliness and hygiene of the store and it's staff good, in fact better than most businesses in this category (fast food/made-to-eat/on-the-go restaurant chains), I'd recommend it to anyone who is in "the mood" or
Just wants something quick to order/hot and ready. There's a menu option for everyone, vegetarian, vegan, halal, etc. it's a fairly priced choice and on average $10-$12.00 l/ person for walking/pick-up orders and $12-$16.00/per person. Open from lunch, dinner, and late night.
Location is in the Lougheed town centre mall which offers a kid/family friendly location with lots of free parking space, washroom facilities and on-site security and maintenance and well as customer service. Located literally a B for throw from Lougheed SkyTrain station, which is a major transfer pointhe t on the TransLink public transit network, with a large selection of bus routes, bike trails there's so mujch to see, visit, explore whether you are a first time visitor/tourist to the area or just enjoying the day with friends and family and want to take a easy day off.
Lougheed mall is located literally on the border of Burnaby/Coquitlam and the trip cities. There's a ton of shops and services in the area so please put this area on the to-do/to go-see list: FRESH SLICE IS LOCATED UPSTAIRS IN THE FOOD COURT INSIDE LOUGHEED MALL***

Have gone on multiple occasions for brunch and dinner and service is usually prompt. On busy days it may be more difficult to get a table and order. Would recommend booking a table if going for brunch.
The menu is available via QR code at each table, but ordering is still done with a staff member. Physical menus can be given upon request.
The food has good portions and are a good mix of fusion and standard breakfast items. The crodise is very delicious and the flaky texture of the croissant goes well with the crunch of the vegetables. The drink menu is vast and has many options. The cold tiramisu drink is very creamy and rich.
Price point is about average for the area. Drinks average $5-$8. Dishes vary more.
Noise level is on the higher end due to the number of tables and the background music they play. Good for meeting with a group but conversations may be louder.

Both staff young ladies have been very friendly and hardworking with dedication👍🌷Using big plastic cup for hot water is something very considerate with care in details! It’s a busy spot, and with very few people working the floor, getting a server’s attention can be a bit challenging, though it’s clear they were simply short-staffed. It’s also not the easiest place to get a table, which is usually a good sign. The real standout here is the drinks menu. The selection is extensive, and everything we tried was excellent, enough to justify repeat visits just for drinks. The food came out fast, but it didn’t quite land for me. The fried chicken Benny was bland and needed salt, and the pita base made the dish feel dry. I think it would work better on their crodise or croffle. The bacon crodise with ricotta is an interesting idea, but the cold cheese also cooled down bacon and poached egg, which I wasn’t a fan of. There is potential here, but for me, the food didn’t impress.

Juree was incredibly lovely, kind and outgoing. She was attentive and the food was good! I ordered the prawn benny, peach ade and iced tiramisu cappuccino, all fantastic choices. The Iced Tiramisu Cappuccino was perhaps my absolute favourite drink of all time, it came in the cutest cup (that i considered stealing btw, didnt. But i wanted to) the atmosphere was gorgeous and the lighting wasnt overwhelming at all. Music was great too :) they do have a qr code menu

The staff and owner were incredibly kind and sweet, and the overall vibe was great. The owner even put on a fire show for us, which I didn’t get a chance to photograph. We loved all the side dishes, and the staff, especially the owner, consistently checked in on us and offered refills. The food was good, and the owner made our first experience at the restaurant very pleasant and positive. He’s such a funny and outgoing person. We purposely went around 3:45 pm on a Saturday to avoid waiting for a table, and we were seated right away. I would definitely go back!

I came in for a dinner at around 7 PM today and really like the cut of the meat of the pork and the beef. I really enjoyed the seafood pancake, but in my opinion, compared to the other ones that I’ve had it was definitely on the smaller side. The ambiance of the Korean barbeque was very spacious, with a very great energy where the staff had multiple birthday parties that they were helping to celebrate.
Our server was great and did her best in helping us cook food but clearly it was a very busy day. She helped us cook the meat and then walked away to her other tables and was doing her best, but we had to flip our own meat because it was getting a bit too burn on one side and our server was occupied at another table.
We had to ask a few times to get a picture or more water so I feel like that because there was a few big parties, that might have caused a little bit of a harder time for the staff to be attentive but overall the dining was good.
I am not sure if we had to pay for the refills, but we were never offered any and so that was one thing I wasn’t sure about. We ended the dinner with a kimchi fried rice, and I think the flavour was a bit, lacking, some sesame oil, but it was overall ok.
The highlight would be the fire show, which is they lit the wire while cooking the pork belly.
I think I was a bit excited seeing the reviews but it was just ok for my experience today.

Came here last week and ended up coming back again today — that alone says a lot.
The grill tables here are imported directly from Korea, and you can really tell the difference when you’re cooking. The quality of the meat is excellent, and everything feels very authentic. The owner and staff are all super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for a more special experience, I’d actually recommend visiting on a weekday rather than a busy weekend. It’s a bit more relaxed, and you’re more likely to see the owner’s grilling performance up close — which definitely adds to the experience.
This has already become one of those places I know I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for high-quality Korean BBQ with great service 👍🏻✨

Definitely recommend the $20 BBQ lunch special! Lots of variety of dishes that are filling.
When I first came here when it first opened, I had to wait an hour and pay like $120 for two ppl. I thought that would be first and the last time I would come to this place, but recently saw the $20 lunch special offer. I can definitely say that not only will I come back, but will recommend it to my friends and families. This is without a doubt one of the best Korean BBQ lunch deals nearby.
Also, they were generous enough to refund $2 the parking fees that I paid as special service.

A Korean BBQ spot that opened just six months ago along North Rd in K-Town and is already doing things right. The Family Feast for six delivers a generous spread of galbisal (premium short rib), neukgansal (sliced rib finger meat), samgyupsal (aged pork belly), and moksal (aged pork collar). The chosen appetizer was bajirak bok-keum, stir-fried Manila clams. Also included comforting bowls of kimchi and doenjang jjigae, a variety of banchans with salads, a veggie platter, and classic corn cheese. Additional orders included yukhoe (beef tartare), featuring freshly sliced premium beef tartare seasoned with sesame oil, garlic, and Korean pear, as well as hae-mul pa-jeon (seafood pancake) loaded with assorted seafood and green onions. Everything was paired with cold Cass Korean beer. A solid, satisfying Korean BBQ experience and a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
