3 Star Rating The chicken burger was pretty good, decent portion size too but little amount of fries and oily. However for a simple burger it’s definitely overpriced. I paid around 25$ in total including tip. It’s a nice atmosphere for big groups tho and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would not come a second time but if you need a place for a big gathering this might be suitable.

2 Star Rating I wasn’t planning on leaving an unfavourable google review, but I was unable to reach the management through their website. I went to this pub on Christmas Eve, it was absolutely lovely there. The live music was so good that night, and the camaraderie was heartwarming, I really loved it. Everything was great except for how one of the servers treated me. She was so impatient and dismissive. I’m not sure why she was that irritated with me, it made me feel rotten to be treated like that. I have some hearing damage, maybe she had an issue with trying to communicate with me in such a loud setting. She had someone put the payment terminal in front of me immediately after bringing me a beer, without me asking to pay. I got there before 9:00, several hours before closing. I would have liked to have ordered food, but I wasn't offered any and I didn't feel welcome to stay. Aside from the server in the white top and long, red skirt on Christmas Eve, everyone else was super lovely. It was a pretty good little reprieve from my holidays, in spite of things.

3 Star Rating There’s a reason I only come here for one drink and go to the next place to get food and another drink. Service wasn’t great. The staff were standing at the other end of the bar chatting and looking over while I tried to get their attention while I had already sat there with an empty glass for ten minutes. I believe by the time the bartender actually made his way over was at the fifteen to twenty minute mark. The server, who was the manager on duty as well, rarely checked on her tables. One actually had to go up and order their second round. Food is not worth the price, taste and portion wise.

4 Star Rating First off I'd like to say that I am a man of all cuisines but Japanese food has a special place in my heart! I was driving westbound on Terminal Ave approaching Main St. when the snarled traffic diverted me onto Station St.The words 'Sushi' and the hard to see open neon sign caught my attention like a squirrel to a dog. So I did it! I went right after work at 445pm and slithered my way through the Train terminal as Ekki Sushi was located inside Pacific Central station. The station itself was bare, and there were signs directing you to the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the right side of the station, a bit hidden so there were a few signs pointing to the little shop. There's a table partition at the entrance of the restaurant with menus and a bottle of hand sanitizer. The chef comes out and takes my order, he's a nice young gentleman. I ordered Salmon Poke and a California roll and he said 15 minutes. I head out to my car and wait. Come 5pm I try going back into the station *tug & yank* hmm seems like the doors are locked (presumably for safety purposes), and a printed sign says 'please dial xxx' to open the door, and so I do! Phew, thought I had been late to pickup my order and the station locked me out! So I head in following my nose and sitting at the partition was my food ready and waiting. I thank the chef and I head out for another 'trunk meal'. Unbeknownst to me the chef snuck in a bowl of miso soup *thank you very much* I quickly open my food and was amazed at the detail and attention to my poke...then how my California rolls were so perfectly shaped and proportionately made. I ate it all and washed it down with the soup, PERIOD! The poke bowl was at the perfect temperature with all the 'new school' toppings without going over board. The fish was soft and a bit chewy texture, salmon. The California roll was tasty as it's well proportioned (none of those gargantuan Cali rolls *I'm looking at you Samurai Sushi*). Overall, this place is a true hidden gem. At first I thought the prices I saw online was what I'll be paying, but upon comparison the menu I saw was larger and contained more options. TLDR; poke bowl was delicious. California roll was delicious. Washed down with miso soup, too was delisioso! Will return.

3 Star Rating Nothing special about the portions or the flavors. Price was only acceptable due to the 32% off discount on Fantuan. We pre-ordered for 5:00 - 5:30pm delivery. The restaurant started preparing the food around 3:30/3:45pm. Our food was ready for delivery around 4:00pm. Unfortunately, because our food was not scheduled for delivery until 5pm, so, our food just sat there for at least an hour before it was picked up by our delivery person. Delivery took another 30 minutes or so. So, by the time we got our food, the hot food was cold, cold food was room temperature. Most unsettling was that they packed one of our sushi with the hot udon and the sushi was warm. From a food safe point of view. I would not order from this restaurant again. Two stars only because we didn’t actually get food poisoned. Edit: delivery app followed up and said the restaurant might not have known when the delivery period was and started the order too early due to a system error. With this clarification I will give them benefit of doubt and revise to 3 stars.

5 Star Rating I heard they launched some special menu which is Korean fried chicken. There are four types of chickens (Korean sweet-spicy, Salt and Pepper, Soy sauce and Supreme). The Ekki Sushi serves special offer two types of different flavour chickens + pickle + homemade salad + 2 pops. It is just $30 including free delivery in Downtown. I picked Korean sweet-spicy sauce and Salt&Pepper up. It was a great volume and a decent meal. I strongly recommend this offer to everyone who likes Korean fried chicken and wants to get experience some different type of Korean style chicken compare to another restaurant.

4 Star Rating Taking over the former Kobob Burger on Main Street is Cafe Take Urban which specializes in Korean style macarons - Ddungcaron. Ddungcaron (뚱카롱) is a popular rendition of macarons found in Korea. It means "fat macaron", and it gets its name from the outrageous amount of filling between macaron shells. In addition to their macarons, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, rice bowls (which they dub 'Cup Bob'), and espresso beverages. I started off with a Dirty Latte. It gets its name from the shot of espresso added into the drink. The matcha taste was strong and the shot of espresso didn't overwhelm the strong matcha taste. I also tried the Chicken Pesto Panini and it was perfectly grilled and stuffed with ingredients. The chicken worked well with the pesto and there was a generous amount of cheese which made for a very fulfilling panini. In a nod to their Korean roots, they also offer various different rice bowls. They have chicken, veggie, beef bulgogi and tuna mayo. I went with the spicy pork. All the ingredients worked well together and the spicy pork was very savoury. I didn't find it spicy at all, and if I got this again, I could do without the mayonnaise. The macarons here are expertly made and the flavours that are being offered are very unique and not offered any where else in Vancouver. All the flavours were on point, but my favourites were the Real Oreo and Birthday Cake. If you're a fan of the White Rabbit craze going on the Sweet Milk flavour tastes exactly like White Rabbit candy! Overall, I had a great experience. The service was friendly and the food was executed well. The macarons are extremely well priced (only $3.00 each!) and they would make for a lovely gift.

3 Star Rating Celebrated my friend’s birthday here, ordered all dishes pretty much. Overall a good experience, great ambience and interior, definitely a recommend place for dates. The service was top notch too, very attentive. Not to mention, we were all surprised by how fast they’ve got the dishes ready. Overall, some dishes are chefs kiss, beef tongue, salads and prawns, although surprisingly small portion too. However, the Paella taste awful, it’s generous pot with a lot of seafood, but taste very strange. My Spanish friend can cook better than that.

3 Star Rating Came for a friend’s birthday dinner. I liked the ambiance, as the seating was comfortable, decently spaced out and not too loud. I got the sherry flight which was fun since I had never had sherry before. We shared a number of plates which were generally all good, albeit a little small and pricey. Skip the bread and the tomato bread. Favorites were the fried eggplant with honey, the stuffed peppers, and octopus. Our original server was friendly, but left at some point during our meal and no one came back until we had to flag someone down well after we were done. Our new server was not at all attentive to our table. We ordered dessert from her, unfortunately one of my friend’s desserts never came. We mentioned it to someone else who came by after, but it was never communicated to our new server. They dolled up the churros with a happy birthday message and candle, which was a nice gesture. The poor service did leave a bad taste with my entire group of friends. I’d be open to coming back but it’s not at the top of my list.

The food was flavourful, the freshest ingredients, and execution was just phenomenal. Service left a lot to be desired however. 5 Star Rating Easily one of my favorite food truck in Vancouver. I used to grab lunch from them all the time, and now they're back! Their chicken is killer. I always order the appetizer chicken on its own, occasionally I get the kickass rice. It's super good. The crunch is light, flakey and crispy. The flavors pack a punch, heat and savory with a bit of sweetness. I highly recommend this place. I'd make dedicated trip to eat this even if it meant a 40 minute drive to get it. And I judge how good a place is based on how much effort I have to drive to get there. They also offer friend buns, try the chicken and the beef. It's great!

4 Star Rating Super easy to pre-order on Instagram, with very responsive staff! Ordered 2 of the Kickass Rice Bowls (Crispy Chicken and Braised Beef) and the Beef Brisket Fried Bun. Absolutely loved the rice bowl I had with the braised beef, it was a really good and filling portion for lunch. It came with ample beef brisket and the seasoned rice was heavenly (a nice change from plain rice for other dishes, like poke bowls for example). My group said the buns were tasty and flavorful. Unfortunately they were out of the soy egg (couldn't even pre-order it), so will have to come back for it in the future!

5 Star Rating My wife and I recently visited this restaurant for the first time (it was her second visit), and we were thoroughly impressed. We opted for the shared 5-course prix fixe menu as part of the dine out festival, which was splendid. The highlights for us were the sable fish and mussels - both were exceptional. We also enjoyed the desserts; they were outstanding and a perfect way to conclude our meal. The portions were generous, ensuring you leave feeling satisfied. At $65, it offers fantastic value, and we’d like to extend our kudos to both the front of house and back of house teams for their friendly, efficient, and genuine service. A special tip: if you’re dining in a small group, consider sitting at the bar. It’s a great spot to watch the culinary action unfold, which my wife and I particularly love (having just finished watching ‘The Bear’, it was a real treat). Highly recommended

5 Star Rating I can tell why they got lots of restaurant award. Food was outstanding! Prices are affordable but the quality is so much higher than some fancy restaurants. They change the menu every seasons, I wanna try everything! Definitely worth to visit.

5 Star Rating Absolutely the definition of a hidden gem. Great for lunch, if you're in the area. We ate so much food and the bill only came to $71. It's Michelin recommended. I was very surprised to find it mostly empty on Sunday lunch time. Head on down before it gets long line ups. Service was pretty slow but they only had one server on, it was worth the wait though. Fried chicken is to die for!

5 Star Rating 🌶️ Spice Up Your Life with Torafuku's Culinary Magic! 🍲 🥢 Upon entering Torafuku, the clean, minimalist interior immediately struck a chord, offering a serene canvas that complemented the meal's vibrant flavors. The space's simplicity and elegance were as thoughtfully curated as the dishes themselves. Opted for their Beef Noodle Soup and 'I Love Dumpling' - a true delight, with the Beef Noodle Soup broth's symphony of flavors rich and sweet, elevating every sip to a memorable experience. 🍲 🍹 The Kanpai Negroni, recommended to enhance the dining experience, perfectly complemented the meal, adding a sophisticated touch to the hearty dishes. The restaurant's commitment to minimalism not only in its culinary approach but also in its decor, created an ambiance of understated elegance. 😌 As I left Torafuku, a blend of satisfaction and a hint of regret lingered - why had I only discovered this gem now? It's a culinary journey I wished I had embarked on sooner. Don't repeat my mistake; Torafuku is a must-visit!

3 Star Rating Restaurant was packed for dine out but there was this surprisingly calm almost zen like vibe from the open kitchen. I’ve never seen chefs so chill (or I’ve been watching too much The Bear). Food was good but salty with not much attention to plating. Portions were generous. Service was fine. Overall it was good but I was expecting a little more for the price. Leans more casual than fine dining.
