5 Star Rating I want to take a moment to truly appreciate the incredible team at Tim Hortons, 195 Terminal Ave, Vancouver. Kiran, the manager, has done an outstanding job leading a hardworking and dedicated staff who handle an incredibly challenging location with professionalism, patience, and grace. This location is small and is always bustling with heavy traffic, from busy commuters looking for a quick meal to less fortunate individuals who seek shelter. The staff here face everything—from friendly regulars to difficult and even threatening situations—yet they continue to serve with unwavering dedication. It is overwhelming (in the best way) to see how they power through, keeping up with the rush while maintaining their commitment to excellent service. Kiran’s leadership shines through in how well-trained her team is. She has instilled in them a sense of compassion and professionalism, ensuring that every customer—no matter who they are—is met with kindness and a smile. The staff work tirelessly, often under immense pressure, yet they never let it show. Whether it’s preparing quick on-the-go meals or handling unexpected challenges, they hustle through the grind, making sure everyone is served efficiently. I have deep respect for the resilience and work ethic of this team especially because the location is so challenged. Their job is not easy, yet they show up every day, ready to serve, adapt, and make the best of every situation. If you stop by, take a moment to appreciate their efforts. A kind word or a simple “thank you” can go a long way in lifting their morale. They deserve all the recognition for the hard work they put in daily. Hats off to Kiran and her amazing team—your dedication does not go unnoticed!

4 Star Rating It was the Food Truck that I found accidentally on Fraser Street. I had delicious Samosa Chat, Sev Puri, Bhel Puri. They also provide Chicken samosa that is worth trying. I found Bhel Puri a bit dry but they were kind enough to pour more chutneys when we asked. They are welcoming and I love their hospitality. Their food is worth trying and I will try different food in future. GO FOR IT!! 👍 For more foody experience FOLLOW 👇 (INSTAGRAM)- @thatfoodyfellow

5 Star Rating Tried the samosa chat here. Very good Street food taste. And the price is hard to beat. Well worth it for five dollars. If you're traveling by car, the location may be a bit tough to stop as there's a large sky train station nearby. The takeaway package was good and compact.

2 Star Rating I am a huge indian food junkie but this was just not it. The prices are very fair but the food was not even worth that. The curry portions were very small compared to the rice, the section of the container that was meant for an appetizer probably. The rice was not basmati rice. The palak paneer was weirdly sour tasting, maybe off and cold despite the microwaving (yes you read that right). The shahi paneer was watery, thin and bland, with tiny and very few cubes of paneer. All topped with some limp pieces of plain lettuce. Overall very disappointed.

4 Star Rating First off I'd like to say that I am a man of all cuisines but Japanese food has a special place in my heart! I was driving westbound on Terminal Ave approaching Main St. when the snarled traffic diverted me onto Station St.The words 'Sushi' and the hard to see open neon sign caught my attention like a squirrel to a dog. So I did it! I went right after work at 445pm and slithered my way through the Train terminal as Ekki Sushi was located inside Pacific Central station. The station itself was bare, and there were signs directing you to the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the right side of the station, a bit hidden so there were a few signs pointing to the little shop. There's a table partition at the entrance of the restaurant with menus and a bottle of hand sanitizer. The chef comes out and takes my order, he's a nice young gentleman. I ordered Salmon Poke and a California roll and he said 15 minutes. I head out to my car and wait. Come 5pm I try going back into the station *tug & yank* hmm seems like the doors are locked (presumably for safety purposes), and a printed sign says 'please dial xxx' to open the door, and so I do! Phew, thought I had been late to pickup my order and the station locked me out! So I head in following my nose and sitting at the partition was my food ready and waiting. I thank the chef and I head out for another 'trunk meal'. Unbeknownst to me the chef snuck in a bowl of miso soup *thank you very much* I quickly open my food and was amazed at the detail and attention to my poke...then how my California rolls were so perfectly shaped and proportionately made. I ate it all and washed it down with the soup, PERIOD! The poke bowl was at the perfect temperature with all the 'new school' toppings without going over board. The fish was soft and a bit chewy texture, salmon. The California roll was tasty as it's well proportioned (none of those gargantuan Cali rolls *I'm looking at you Samurai Sushi*). Overall, this place is a true hidden gem. At first I thought the prices I saw online was what I'll be paying, but upon comparison the menu I saw was larger and contained more options. TLDR; poke bowl was delicious. California roll was delicious. Washed down with miso soup, too was delisioso! Will return.

4 Star Rating Taking over the former Kobob Burger on Main Street is Cafe Take Urban which specializes in Korean style macarons - Ddungcaron. Ddungcaron (뚱카롱) is a popular rendition of macarons found in Korea. It means "fat macaron", and it gets its name from the outrageous amount of filling between macaron shells. In addition to their macarons, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, rice bowls (which they dub 'Cup Bob'), and espresso beverages. I started off with a Dirty Latte. It gets its name from the shot of espresso added into the drink. The matcha taste was strong and the shot of espresso didn't overwhelm the strong matcha taste. I also tried the Chicken Pesto Panini and it was perfectly grilled and stuffed with ingredients. The chicken worked well with the pesto and there was a generous amount of cheese which made for a very fulfilling panini. In a nod to their Korean roots, they also offer various different rice bowls. They have chicken, veggie, beef bulgogi and tuna mayo. I went with the spicy pork. All the ingredients worked well together and the spicy pork was very savoury. I didn't find it spicy at all, and if I got this again, I could do without the mayonnaise. The macarons here are expertly made and the flavours that are being offered are very unique and not offered any where else in Vancouver. All the flavours were on point, but my favourites were the Real Oreo and Birthday Cake. If you're a fan of the White Rabbit craze going on the Sweet Milk flavour tastes exactly like White Rabbit candy! Overall, I had a great experience. The service was friendly and the food was executed well. The macarons are extremely well priced (only $3.00 each!) and they would make for a lovely gift.

3 Star Rating I recently tried Spanish cuisine for the first time. While taste is subjective, I found the atmosphere enjoyable, with great decor. However, the portion sizes were quite small compared to the price, which made it feel like it lacked value. The service was average—staff greeted us, took our order, and processed the bill, but nothing beyond the basics. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly due to the price. While the food wasn’t to my personal taste, that could simply be because it was my first experience with Spanish cuisine. Out of all the food I ordered I only liked the chicken wings which I happened to forget to snap a pic.

4 Star Rating A very tasty Spanish tapas styled restaurant within an industrial/rustic interior design. All the food we ordered was great and since we were there during happy hours, we ordered more than normally would, just to try. The octopus was great. It is quite a pricy place, though. But I do think the quality of the of the ingredients is there. There was not much service beyond the regular order taking and delivering dishes to your table. Water was self served too. Would come again when I start craving the grilled octopus.

5 Star Rating Have had this spot saved for a while now as I had been intrigued by their commitment to “ancestral” techniques and food quality. Safe to say that I was absolutely not disappointed by my experience! I ordered the “Rey” Machete which is where the chef selects a mix of five different flavors and I would definitely recommend this if you’re at all indecisive or just want to try an abundance of things. Each section was absolutely incredible and had the perfect amount of flavor. The house made tortilla is absolutely perfect and the salsa that came with it was the such a great addition. Overall it was just insanely delicious! The service was also great and they are super accommodating to any allergies or requests. To top it off, despite what some other reviews may say, my food (as well as others at the tables around me) came out so quickly it was honestly astonishing. I would highly recommend giving Machete a visit if you’re looking for quality Mexican food and flavors. I would really love to come back and try other menu items as well as some of their cacao drinks!

5 Star Rating My husband and I really enjoyed the food here. The blue corn tortillas are made fresh. They’re so delicious and did not fall apart like corn tortillas usually would. I got the birria taco and my husband got the cactus taco which we both enjoyed. We also shared a Huitlacoche Huarache which was amazing and highly recommend getting. If the huarache is the only thing you’re eating, the portion is just right for 1 person, but if you’re sharing, I recommend getting something else like a couple of tacos. The food was really filling. With just the 1 taco per person and huarache to share, we were already full.

4 Star Rating Went to Torafuku for brunch because the pictures I've been seeing looked good. I went there for the first time today. We ordered the Lotus Chips, Maitake Tempura for our appies, and Prawn Toast for our main. We also ordered the Matcha Madness Cocktail. The Maitake Tempura and Lotus Chips we're very good. The lotus chips were crispy, tossed in sweet chili sauce. The Maitake Tempura was perfectly battered and fried. The Prawn Toast we didn't really enjoy. The gochujang aioli drizzled on top was flavourful, but the toast itself was quite greasy and heavy. I had to keep dousing it with lemon juice to cut through the fattiness. The matcha cocktail was delicious and definitely not watered down. Overall, the food was good except for the toast. My biggest disappointment is the service. They served the Lotus Chips first but didn't give us any cutlery or napkins. I thought probably we're supposed to eat it with our hands because they are chips afterall. Then came the tempura. They still didn't give us napkins, cutlery or share plates. I had to ask for some napkins because the sweet chili sauce from the lotus chips got my fingers sticky. Still was not given cutlery. We definitely needed them for the tempura. We had to ask for it. Then the prawn toast came. Thankfully, we finally had cutlery and napkins. The server never asked us how our food was until we were done eating and about to ask for the bill. My friend and I weren't really impressed by our dining experience. It wasn't bad just very underwhelming.

5 Star Rating Our dine out dinner at this lovely little restaurant was amazing! They have a casual trendy decor that sets the tone for a relaxed dining environment. Their version of Whisky Sour hit the spot! Kicking off, was their yellow beet salad followed by the yellow fin tuna, mussels, black cod with shrimps - we took the garlic shrimp add on. The texture of every dish was perfect, outstanding delicate flavours signalling their Japanese fusion concept. Clearly, the menu was curated to showcase their culinary prowess that earned them the well deserved Michelin recognition! Their staff were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Overall - excellent dining experience; we’ll be back 👏👏

5 Star Rating Their lunchtime dine out menu was delicious! I especially liked the fried chicken rice bowl and the beef noodle soup - I’d come back here again just for those dishes! The pork belly had a great flavour but I found it a bit tough for my liking. The appetizers and desserts were also quite good, but nothing like their main courses. Overall, amazing price for a three course lunch meal. I left stuffed and in a food coma :)

4 Star Rating My partner and I enjoyed a dine-out menu at Torafuku in late January. We were eager to try it, having heard positive reviews and knowing it's been a Michelin-recommended restaurant for the past three years. We made a reservation, anticipating it would be busy. The restaurant had a lively and interesting atmosphere. After settling in, we chose the bison tartare, duck confit, kale salad, black cod, basque cheesecake, and panna cotta. We also ordered a couple of cocktails: the torafuku sour, o my sake, and the matcha madness. While service was a little slow at first, the food arrived promptly after each course. I personally loved the bison tartare and duck confit. However, we did find the cost of $65 per person for five shared dishes to be somewhat expensive, especially considering the portion sizes were relatively small. On the positive side, the cocktails were truly exceptional.

2 Star Rating Austere decor. Average food. Terrible service. Came for Dine Out 2025. Five course meal. Pacing was horrendous. Course 3 came out while we were still eating Course 2, and they forgot to bring out the side of bread we had ordered with Course 3. Then we had to wait ages for Course 4 after finishing Course 3. Feel like I'm not usually this harsh on places but I expect much, much better for the price.
