3 Star Rating Food here was ok, service was decent, the atmosphere was nice and the location was convenient! I ordered the classic spaghetti and meatballs and upgraded my soup to clam chowder. The clam chowder was actually quite good, but the portions were smaller than the non-upgraded soup even though it costs extra. The spaghetti and meatballs were 'ok' meatballs were a bit dry. The sauce was ok, nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad. Overall this is a nice, albeit busy place to get your pasta fix if you're in New Westminster.

5 Star Rating I had a wonderful experience at The Old Spaghetti Factory. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered soup, chicken Parmesan, and baroque, and all the dishes were delicious. It was a delightful culinary journey. What made it even better was the complimentary extras like ice cream, coffee, bread and special butter. Their generosity and great service made for a memorable dining experience.

3 Star Rating We got quite a few recommendations from people around and even google reviews were good. So we went here for the B’day celebration and ordered three Burgers and two free flow coffees. Nice ambiance, nice decor, loads of photo collages of previous customers, and we liked it. Hostess told us we have options for sides: Wedges, Salad, or Onion rings. She did not mention that Onion rings would come for extra price. This came as a shock to us when we saw the receipt later. Favorites of the day on the board were super expensive. Our burger plate looked beautiful. Crispy potato wedges, but they were cut a little too thick. So, that was a bummer. Burger patty was roasted well but it had that meat smell and also was bland with the meat’ish taste. Something has to be figured out that the patties are flavorful and doesn’t have that raw’ish meat taste & smell. We had to add more and more ketchup and sauce to make it flavorful. This experience did not match with the recommendations and hype we got about this restaurant before our first visit. Just to be clear, we have been to more than 15 countries and have tasted good burgers. We know how a good burger should taste like. If there’s a raw’ish meat smell and taste in the patty, then it needs improvement. I hope cooks will pay attention to this constructive feedback. Maybe we’ll return in the future, but not sure if we’d be willing to pay the high price. Our kids got candies while going out, so that was nice!

5 Star Rating We showed up at noon and were greeted with a friendly smile and a "welcome, how are you 2 doing today. " We were seated and given menus, asked what we wanted to drink and left to figure out which yummy burger to eat. There are so many great ones, sometimes it is hard to decide. I ended up getting the Hawaiian burger w/wedges and the wife got the Greek God burger w/loaded wedges which has Cheese and bacon added. I also got the gravy that comes on a stand with a candle underneath to keep it warm. Great Food, Great Service and Great Atmosphere. I have been going there for about 35 years. Everyone should try this place at least once.

5 Star Rating Burgers are huge here. Very filling especially if you get the fries. The salad is decent portioned too. The poutine had abundant cheese curds that were melting. Took a while to get the food but the burgers were burgerlicious. There’s a challenge where if you finish the 3 lb, 8 stacker burger you get your picture and time taken to finish posted on the wall.

5 Star Rating I went off script and decided to get the brisket sandwich. What a great choice. So flavour and tender. I always choose the pulled pork so I haven't had the brisket since Re-Up was just a food truck at the art gallery. I'll have to alternate my choices now. I did get the combo and the fries are delicious but I didn't need them. The sandwich was filling enough!

4 Star Rating No-nonsense BBQ take-put place. The portions were big and tasty. I guess they did marinate the meat for a long time before slowly grilling it. I couldn't finish mine thus gave half of it to hubby. For those complaining of how pricey it is - it is not actually, I'd you have ever went to a foodcourt I downtown Vancouver you will know. Almost every customer that came in, Mel seemed to know what they were going to get, which I think is so cute! The veggie wrap had a good taste balance with the cheese(?) and is homemade. Overall if your looking for a place with good coffee and food, i recommend. Now this is just my personal preference: it’s not the best option to go if ur a student wanting to get work done. 5 Star Rating The best pizza in all of Vancouver, no questions asked. I order like once a week because I always crave it. I’ve had most of the recipe pizzas and they are all phenomenal. My only complaint is that sometimes when we order it comes a bit less hot than I would prefer, however it’s made up for by the quality/taste. I’ve never had any issues with service, everyone I’ve dealt with is nice. Also, their pasta is HIGHLY underrated. It’s so great. 10/10 recommend to everyone.

5 Star Rating I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West! I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have. I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. 😋🤗 Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

4 Star Rating Unpretentious Chinese restaurant with authentic Asian/Taiwanese cuisine... most dishes come in a set. Menu is limited but flavours are very good. Set comes with main dish, rice & 2 slide dishes. It is a family run restaurant, the guy manning the front & serving the water. The place is clean & with a few tables onsite. Paid Parking on the street available, there's no parking at the restaurant as it is located in a very small premise opposite Nee Westminster Douglas College. Food is simple but great, highly recommend! Check it out

5 Star Rating So authentic and yummy. I could tell by the small menu and cozy decor that the food would be homey. As a Taiwanese, this felt super close to what I’d get in Taiwan. The food is flavourful but not greasy - especially the beef noodle soup. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, the broth was not greasy and there was a good portion of beef. I would have liked more veggie with it but no worries. The other lunch bentos were good too, all three of us Taiwanese enjoyed. The peach oolong tea was good and didn’t taste artificial. They didn’t have toppings today sadly. A small restaurant with artwork that reminded me of Taiwan. Looking forward to coming again!

3 Star Rating Finally tried Rong Rong Tea House, a family run Taiwanese spot. The inside has a total of 13 seats. Order and pay when you walk in. - Beef noodle soup ($14.00) - broth was well rounded. Beef tender yet meaty. Good portion of noodles but wanted a firmer bite. - Dong po pork ($15.00) - all the side dishes were solid. Pork belly was decent but fatty and oily. Liked the lightly pickled cucumber. Rong Rong had some simple, comforting Taiwanese dishes. 3.5 stars.

5 Star Rating Finally get to try this place ! Can't believe it right by new West station which I pass by every day🤣 definitely hidden gem . I did noticed the price spike extra $2 (the main menu is mostly $16-17 now except Taiwan meat sauce $8) (But if order by phone takeout is 10% off) Unfortunately I had to I get beef noodle to go due to loud construction right outisde (there's seating area inside available) As for the beef noodle I can just say it ok😅 for $16 it's doable , enough meat noodle is alright (great for student next street over tho very convenient!) Maybe because I tried redBeef and other noodle place , but for location it is 5 stars for sure !

4 Star Rating I want to love this place for the pricing (because you hardly see prices like this anymore in greater Vancouver), but unfortunately the sushi ingredients are just not fresh enough to justify a perfect score. I got the combo A and the dynamite roll was soggy, the cali rolls tasted off. 5 Star Rating Came in near the end of lunchtime (ends at 4). Service prompt, polite, and all the necessary communication. Free cup and refills of green tea. I ordered lucky lunch and the miso soup was above and beyond: it had tofu, scallion, and wakame. Agedashi tofu was notable too: daikon shavings and scallions, thin but crispy batter. The sushi rolls were on the large side with lots of filling-to-rice ratio. A little misshapen but tasty and fills my stomach for what counts as a good price these days ($16.50). The beef teriyaki roll had less cucumber and rice than I'd like and I'd prefer the beef colder and a bit drier. The tempura yam seems to feature a mix of yellow and orange sweet potato. When the pieces are this big compared to rice, it has an overall mushy texture.... but I can't argue with the speed and bang for my buck! I loved that the sauces weren't too sweet, especially the teriyaki. I coulda sworn I tasted a bit of dark (chinese) shoyu along with the light for uniquely savory flavour... Finally, the wasabi and sushi ginger were mild and refreshing. The place felt clean and well spaced. Relaxing and elegant yet unpretentious aesthetic. Not too loud or chaotic. Bathroom was decent Btw there were more tofu than this, like 5 of them. I ate those food

3 Star Rating Food was average. Udon was too salty for my taste, I would love it if they put some veggies in udon. The Carliforna rolls were good enough for me, I liked it. I feel like the salad was not really fresh. Tempura was good, not the eggplant one though, was soggy. The Chicken Katsu tasted okay, nothing special. Service was also average. It was not really busy at the time we dined in. Feel like the servers were not really initiative. E.g, other restaurants’ server would always come check on you and ask for any problems, or simply refill your water. Not here in this restaurant. And they have the audacity to give the looks when we decided not give tips. Did not have check up on customers and water refill and stuff. Not worth coming back. Food was just average. Nothing special. You can find better Japanese restaurants somewhere here in New West.
