5 Star Rating A simple yet delicious meal. It’s a family restaurant – very casual and energetic. If you want a Piva or an Ask for Luigi experience, or you’re a pasta snob, the OSF isn’t for you. The food is more home style and the pastas are more American Italian. Service is excellent and down to earth. Our servers were well trained, were efficient and attentive but didn’t swarm us either. We always enjoy the food and the friendly atmosphere. It’s a staple in our city.

5 Star Rating A Supper to Remember at the Old Spaghetti Factory – Thanks to Rachel! We arrived at suppertime when the restaurant was buzzing with energy, yet we were greeted and seated with impressive speed and care. Rachel attended to our party of five with warmth, precision, and genuine hospitality. She ensured every detail of our meal was spot-on—delivering not just what we asked for, but going above and beyond to make the experience seamless and joyful. From start to finish, everything flowed in perfect harmony. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere lively, and Rachel’s attentive service truly elevated the evening. She went the extra mile, and it didn’t go unnoticed. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment—and especially Rachel—to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in New Westminster

5 Star Rating It’s as if you’ve been transported back in time! Loved the ambience here. It’s a family style restaurant so you could see some pretty big groups but that’s part of the charm. Service is amazing, very attentive. We ordered the hunter chicken with spaghetti, Caesar salad, ice cream and tea. Delicious and value! They have the all included option on almost all dishes which is rare these days.

5 Star Rating I am not a big fan of spaghetti but this place offers good food which is very affordable. I love their meals come with coffee, soup or salad, bread and ice-cream. Good deals. It is not too busy. They didn't hurry us to leave. The Old Spaghetti Factories always have nostalgic decorations and atmosphere. This one in New Westminster has a carboose too. Cute. Our server was patient and nice. Overall, all my friends find it a very pleasant and decent place.

4 Star Rating We came here for dinner and ordered their pasta with some appetizers. Pasta is overall okay, but not as creamy as I expected. Their calamari is good and I like the idea of putting the onions on it, also the dip is nice. Their garlic bread is also recommended to try. The ambience is very classic and you will walk on carpets all around the restaurant. Price is affordable and the portion is just right.

5 Star Rating One of the last few independent local bastions left that serve great burgers that are hot and juicy with a lovely char. Serving portions are generous, pricing is reasonable, but not cheap — you get what you pay for — and the atmosphere has a funky vibe. Service was efficient and informative. My Hulk burger was enormous and very, very tasty. Fries are not offered here, potato wedges are and they are the real deal that are crispy outside, fluffy inside. There’s offerings for all appetites, big and small.

The photos on the wall brought a sense of New Westminster pride to me and made me think about the generations of families that have come to dine and make memories here. The burgers are absolutely top notch! Juicy patties, flavourful sauces and the most delicious wedges! I am so eager to come back to try out every burger in the menu!

4 Star Rating Burger Heaven is an absolute must visit if you're in the New West area. And being just off the skytrain line, it's just a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away. Starting off with the food, it's absolutely delicious and if you're in the area I can't recommend it enough. Portion size is very generous for the price you pay, and I walked away entirely satisfied. There are plenty of vegetarian options too! The Service was amazing as well. The staff who assisted me knew the menu like the back of their hands, easily answering any questions I had about the food. The Atmosphere would have been 5 stars, if it hadn't been somewhat dirty when I had visited. The seats weren't the cleanest, and there was some cobwebs on the decorations. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little cleaning, and honestly, something that very possibly might've been fixed since I was there! Overall, this is a restaurant in the area that as I started off with, is a must visit if you spend any time around New West. Do not do yourself the disservice of missing out on a meal here!

5 Star Rating I ordered one of the platters. The fried chicken was hot and juicy. Brisket was super tender. Ribs were great as well. The biscuit was really soft and moist - probably one of the best biscuits I've ever had. The beans had a bit of kick to it which I really enjoyed. I didn't get any of their drinks so I can't comment, but the food was delicious. Only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. Ended up waiting half an hour for our food - but the wait was worth it considering how fresh everything was. Will be coming back again. The fried chicken was my favourite part.

5 Star Rating First time having really great tasting food at a cafe (mango wrap). The dirty chai was also spectacular ! Close to Douglas campus and New West skytrain station. It's operated fully by the owner and their partner that tend to lots of customers daily. I'll definitely make sure to come by more often. They were very attentive to customers even during the busiest rush. Small detail, but the groovy music selection also made perceived time waiting in line pass by quickly and comfortably.

4 Star Rating I initially was very disappointed. I overheard the guy working telling two older ladies that he serves nothing vegan, and that the grilled cheese is a combo only, no way to get it alone. When the ladies asked about the soup flavors, instead of just telling them he told them to look at the board. The female worker i first encountered was much more pleasant. This guy was quite monotone, and lacking any emotion other then perceived "how do i get you in and out faster". Later on the lady who is much more pleasant, list me know that there is vegan treats available. Both were very yummy.

5 Star Rating Came in and was immediately greeted by friendly woman at the front. She provided great details about food items and made recommendations about food. I felt like she took the time to ensure I was making a choice that was suited for me. She gave me recommendations for future visits as well. I received the AUTHENTIC Chai and Mango Chicken wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and filling. The Chai was seasoned well with appropriate spices, as a South Indian, this chai earned title as an Authentic Chai. The wrap was filled with flavour and seasonings that blended well together. It’s a big sized wrap that I split into two. She served it grilled and provided reheating instructions as well.

4 Star Rating Food is ok, definitely an extra heater somewhere would make a difference. We were told certain tables were only for lunch customers and expected a big rush, but it was empty throughout the entire morning until around midday. Food is okay (we tried the famous cinnamon bun and found it to be nothing special), drink was good, atmosphere could use an upgrade. I’m a big supporter of small businesses but charging the same prices as nice coffee shops with a not so welcoming space makes me not want to return.

5 Star Rating Today, I visited a small Taiwanese cafe opposite Douglas College (New Westminster campus). The prices are affordable, and the food quality is also excellent. For just $16, I enjoyed a meal that included a fried chicken chop, a small dish of stir-fried cabbage, a small plate of Taiwanese snacks, and a piece of green onion omelet. It’s clear that the owner is very thoughtful and cares about their customers' health, which is commendable. I will definitely be returning for more!

Many people complain about the portion and I do wish there was more scallion chicken but the way it was seasoned was just unbeatable. 5 Star Rating I first came for the Bento Box, then the BEEF NOODLE SOUP looked attracted on the main menu so I ordered it instead. Today was the 4th time I came back with the intention to try their Bento Box but I failed again. I couldn't stop myself ordering BEEF NOODLE SOUP!! This is the best Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup I ever had, I tried it different restaurants in Vancouver and Taipei airport but none of them attracted me this much. 4 Star Rating Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food. The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats. Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei. Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

4 Star Rating Third time, shared pizza, not as spectacular as ice cream, dough was pale and undercooked, toppings were sparse. I see what people say about staff, this time they were pretty clueless and not really helpful. Again didn't get to try Pizza, maybe next time but Ice Creams just as good as remembered. Sweet tangy pink grapefruit felt like eating crushed frozen fruit and Chocolate like a melted frozen chocolate, Scrumptious! Staff couldn't have been more pleasant. They do not do tastings, probably to much trouble when busy but do other food places??? Of course not. Maybe could do an after you pay, try a couple? Anyway great Icecream Couldn’t try the pizza but if its as fabulous as the ice cream…. Best Ice cream i’ve had here and I’ve tried a lot! This is tasty, luscious cold and soft. Service was fine, wish we could have had more, hopefully another time.

4 Star Rating Came here for ice cream with my kid. Service was friendly, but our drinks were disappointing, and the gelato was hit-and-miss: my panna cotta was the hit, and my son's lemon raspberry was the miss, unfortunately. I thought he was being picky, and tried it, myself. We're both fans of sour things, but agree lemon gelato should be sweet-and-sour, while this was rather bitter-and-sour. Poor value for money, as well. We were unfavourably impressed, all told, even though the panna cotta gelato really was fantastic. Edited to add a star for classy proprietor who accepts criticism with grace, and also because that panna cotta gelato really is amazing.

5 Star Rating I've been coming to Spud Shack since 2013 (which I believe was around the time they first opened) and have never been disappointed. At that time I had never had a poutine in Montreal, but whenever anyone would ask about the best poutine place, this would be the spot I'd tell them about. Being 100% honest, they would also be impressed. I had moved from Ontario, and whenever my friends and family visited, this place has become a sample of part of their trip. (They've all loved the routines!) There was a time this past year, I finally visited Montreal and had a poutine. And let me tell you, it was a good poutine, but I think Spud Shack has always had the best poutine for me, that my standards have become high when trying different places. The curds are great, the gravy is tasty and the fries stay crispy. This will always be the best poutine place for me and I'll always bring my visiting friends and family here for some awesome poutine!

5 Star Rating What a gem of a restaurant. I want to start off by highlighting the friendly customer service in the restaurant. The staff really go out of their way to connect with their customers. Vegan Pork Chop Rice Plate: This is a standout item. I haven’t really found a meatless pork chop rice plate, so this option was really unique. The protein appeared to bean curd, so in actuality this was a bean curd chop. It was really delicious and worth trying out for how unique this was. Vegan Citrus Spare-Rib Baguette: Super delicious, super yummy, everything you’d want from a banh mi. You won’t miss spare rib once you eat this bad boy. Vegetable Soup: Pretty solid! Not much to say. Great cheap option to tack onto your meal if you are sharing with friends.

Anything with lemongrass is my absolute favourite, and the lemongrass chicken with rice was delicious. Along with the iced chocolate, it was practically perfect :) The space is also very clean. I find that the large window is a really nice touch to the environment. Would be super nice and cozy on a rainy or snowy day. Overall, would definitely recommend to all my non-meat eaters out there (and anyone else who just likes good food!). Can't wait to go again someday :)

3 Star Rating A well-known Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant in New Westminster. Interestingly, the spring rolls aren’t fully vegetarian since they contain shrimp. The restaurant is located on a street corner, with parking available along nearby streets. I tried the stir-fried noodles with vegetables—it was flavorful but a bit salty due to the heavy sauce. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls, though, was excellent. The staff were quick, friendly, and attentive.
