5 Star Rating A simple yet delicious meal. It’s a family restaurant – very casual and energetic. If you want a Piva or an Ask for Luigi experience, or you’re a pasta snob, the OSF isn’t for you. The food is more home style and the pastas are more American Italian. Service is excellent and down to earth. Our servers were well trained, were efficient and attentive but didn’t swarm us either. We always enjoy the food and the friendly atmosphere. It’s a staple in our city.

5 Star Rating A Supper to Remember at the Old Spaghetti Factory – Thanks to Rachel! We arrived at suppertime when the restaurant was buzzing with energy, yet we were greeted and seated with impressive speed and care. Rachel attended to our party of five with warmth, precision, and genuine hospitality. She ensured every detail of our meal was spot-on—delivering not just what we asked for, but going above and beyond to make the experience seamless and joyful. From start to finish, everything flowed in perfect harmony. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere lively, and Rachel’s attentive service truly elevated the evening. She went the extra mile, and it didn’t go unnoticed. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment—and especially Rachel—to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in New Westminster

5 Star Rating It’s as if you’ve been transported back in time! Loved the ambience here. It’s a family style restaurant so you could see some pretty big groups but that’s part of the charm. Service is amazing, very attentive. We ordered the hunter chicken with spaghetti, Caesar salad, ice cream and tea. Delicious and value! They have the all included option on almost all dishes which is rare these days.

4 Star Rating We came here for dinner and ordered their pasta with some appetizers. Pasta is overall okay, but not as creamy as I expected. Their calamari is good and I like the idea of putting the onions on it, also the dip is nice. Their garlic bread is also recommended to try. The ambience is very classic and you will walk on carpets all around the restaurant. Price is affordable and the portion is just right.

5 Star Rating I am not a big fan of spaghetti but this place offers good food which is very affordable. I love their meals come with coffee, soup or salad, bread and ice-cream. Good deals. It is not too busy. They didn't hurry us to leave. The Old Spaghetti Factories always have nostalgic decorations and atmosphere. This one in New Westminster has a carboose too. Cute. Our server was patient and nice. Overall, all my friends find it a very pleasant and decent place.

5 Star Rating One of the last few independent local bastions left that serve great burgers that are hot and juicy with a lovely char. Serving portions are generous, pricing is reasonable, but not cheap — you get what you pay for — and the atmosphere has a funky vibe. Service was efficient and informative. My Hulk burger was enormous and very, very tasty. Fries are not offered here, potato wedges are and they are the real deal that are crispy outside, fluffy inside. There’s offerings for all appetites, big and small.

5 Star Rating One of the best places for burgers! Portions are huge, burgers are juicy, fries are thick, and plenty of milkshake flavors to choose from. Been a favorite place to go since I was a kid! Service is always great, never had a bad experience here. Definitely check it out and support a local business!!

4 Star Rating Burger Heaven is an absolute must visit if you're in the New West area. And being just off the skytrain line, it's just a pleasant 5-10 minute walk away. Starting off with the food, it's absolutely delicious and if you're in the area I can't recommend it enough. Portion size is very generous for the price you pay, and I walked away entirely satisfied. There are plenty of vegetarian options too! The Service was amazing as well. The staff who assisted me knew the menu like the back of their hands, easily answering any questions I had about the food. The Atmosphere would have been 5 stars, if it hadn't been somewhat dirty when I had visited. The seats weren't the cleanest, and there was some cobwebs on the decorations. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little cleaning, and honestly, something that very possibly might've been fixed since I was there! Overall, this is a restaurant in the area that as I started off with, is a must visit if you spend any time around New West. Do not do yourself the disservice of missing out on a meal here!

5 Star Rating I wanted a Bison burger as beef is off my diet plan but this was my birthday so we drove to New West from North Vancouver as this was on the menu. While it was pricey at $29 it was a full 6 oz of prime Bison beautifully cooked, accompanied with fresh, ripe veggies and a fresh bun. My salad went untouched but it made a nice lunch the next day. My companion had The Works burger and he loved it. Said it was one of the best he's ever had. Eventhough we arrived fairly late, our server was excellent. She fired up the milkshake machine just for us and made a splendid strawberry milkshake with real berries. This was a great treat for my birthday and we'll be back. Enjoyed the retro music and the atmosphere. IF you can manage the 8 patty burger, you get your photo on the Wall of Fame but if you fail, you go on the Wall of Shame. It's even close enough to the New West skytrain station to walk to and waddle back from.

4 Star Rating The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and I usually don’t even like pulled pork. Fries were well seasoned and the homemade soda (lemony and gingery) was not too sweet. There was plenty of seating during lunch on a weekday. Prices weren’t cheap, but quality was good. I would like to come by again to try their fried chicken sometime.

2 Star Rating Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink. Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place. Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

4 Star Rating Food is ok, definitely an extra heater somewhere would make a difference. We were told certain tables were only for lunch customers and expected a big rush, but it was empty throughout the entire morning until around midday. Food is okay (we tried the famous cinnamon bun and found it to be nothing special), drink was good, atmosphere could use an upgrade. I’m a big supporter of small businesses but charging the same prices as nice coffee shops with a not so welcoming space makes me not want to return.

5 Star Rating This is a wonderful cafe that I've visited regularly when I'm in the area for the last seven years. The food is simple, consistently delicious, and honest. I heard another customer today describe this place as a "heart place", which is very accurate. Everything here feels like it's done with care. It's a nice place to be, and it doesn't hurt that the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is an 11/10. Coffee is great as well.

5 Star Rating Went with work colleagues yesterday and I had no idea this place existed around the corner from our office! Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. The grilled cheese was pretty nice--generous amount of cheese with a good 'pull', bread was lightly buttered and toasted. Tomato soup was very creamy (as in, it contains a generous amount of cream)--combined, it was a fairly heavy meal. Everything came out hot and fresh. Pricing was very reasonable. We had our lunch on the patio (another plus). Heads up that this cafe is on the smaller side, so if you're hoping to dine-in with three or more people, lean towards the earlier side of the lunch rush. The kicker is the staff--it's my first time here but I was warmly greeted by a female employee. I later learned that we shared similar first names! Of course I need to come back--especially because my colleagues strongly recommended the corn soup!

3 Star Rating Unfortunately things felt downhill from my last visit. Their hot sauce was replaced with a strange, syrupy sweet BBQ sauce. All the beers came out either flat or as pure foam. They used to have music but this time you just sat in silence. They still have no way to sanitize or wash your hands before ordering a hand-held food so it's BYOS (Bring your own sanitizer). Pizza still tasted good but it's not the experience it used to be.

5 Star Rating Today, I visited a small Taiwanese cafe opposite Douglas College (New Westminster campus). The prices are affordable, and the food quality is also excellent. For just $16, I enjoyed a meal that included a fried chicken chop, a small dish of stir-fried cabbage, a small plate of Taiwanese snacks, and a piece of green onion omelet. It’s clear that the owner is very thoughtful and cares about their customers' health, which is commendable. I will definitely be returning for more!

Many people complain about the portion and I do wish there was more scallion chicken but the way it was seasoned was just unbeatable. Today was the 4th time I came back with the intention to try their Bento Box but I failed again. I couldn't stop myself ordering BEEF NOODLE SOUP!! 4 Star Rating Third time, shared pizza, not as spectacular as ice cream, dough was pale and undercooked, toppings were sparse. I see what people say about staff, this time they were pretty clueless and not really helpful. Again didn't get to try Pizza, maybe next time but Ice Creams just as good as remembered. Sweet tangy pink grapefruit felt like eating crushed frozen fruit and Chocolate like a melted frozen chocolate, Scrumptious! Staff couldn't have been more pleasant. They do not do tastings, probably to much trouble when busy but do other food places??? Of course not. Maybe could do an after you pay, try a couple? Anyway great Icecream Couldn’t try the pizza but if its as fabulous as the ice cream…. Best Ice cream i’ve had here and I’ve tried a lot! This is tasty, luscious cold and soft. 3 Star Rating I recently visited The Spud shack and had a bit of a wait before getting served. We stood outside for a while checking out the menu, and when we walked in, it felt like the staff were just chatting and not wanting to help us. We were the only ones there and when we initially entered the cooks ran to the back to look busy and the hostess said she had to clean up some tables first before offering to take our order. ( All the tables looked very clean and no one had entered recently or left during the period we were outside the building deciding what we wanted so I’m not sure why they didn’t do that beforehand when it was slow) They also only have can and bottled drinks, which was a bit disappointing since I was hoping for a fountain drink. On the food side, I really enjoyed my Buffalo chicken poutine, but I was let down when I noticed the cook let some pieces of chicken fall off at the pick up counter and didn’t add more back, so there wasn’t much chicken on it. My friend got The Nightmarket poutine and loved it—definitely better portions there! The food was warm, fresh, and the place was definitely clean, which was a plus.

5 Star Rating I’m so glad I stumbled upon this local hole-in-the-wall spot! I ordered the yam, quinoa, and oat burger along with the vegan buffalo chicken poutine. Both absolutely blew me away. The burger was perfectly crafted with amazing texture and flavour. You can tell real thought went into the blend of ingredients, but the real star was the vegan buffalo chicken poutine. My first time trying vegan poutine and WOW. It had that perfect buffalo kick, the gravy was rich and satisfying, and everything came together beautifully. They didn’t cheap out on the sauce at all. Every single fry from top to bottom was coated in that delicious gravy. No sad, dry fries at the bottom here! The fries stayed crispy despite being generously sauced throughout. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in every aspect—from the food presentation to the overall execution. I found out that the owner is an Ironman triathlete, and you can absolutely see how that discipline and commitment to excellence translates into his business and the food he serves. Every element was thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious—exactly what you want from a local spot. The quality of the plant-based options here rivals any restaurant in the city. This place deserves way more recognition! I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for creative and delicious food made with care, don’t sleep on this place!

5 Star Rating What a gem of a restaurant. I want to start off by highlighting the friendly customer service in the restaurant. The staff really go out of their way to connect with their customers. Vegan Pork Chop Rice Plate: This is a standout item. I haven’t really found a meatless pork chop rice plate, so this option was really unique. The protein appeared to bean curd, so in actuality this was a bean curd chop. It was really delicious and worth trying out for how unique this was. Vegan Citrus Spare-Rib Baguette: Super delicious, super yummy, everything you’d want from a banh mi. You won’t miss spare rib once you eat this bad boy. Vegetable Soup: Pretty solid! Not much to say. Great cheap option to tack onto your meal if you are sharing with friends.

5 Star Rating As a vegetarian, it's hard to find places that are both vegan/vegatarian AND tasty, but this was so yummy! Anything with lemongrass is my absolute favourite, and the lemongrass chicken with rice was delicious. Along with the iced chocolate, it was practically perfect :) The space is also very clean. I find that the large window is a really nice touch to the environment. Would be super nice and cozy on a rainy or snowy day. Overall, would definitely recommend to all my non-meat eaters out there (and anyone else who just likes good food!). Can't wait to go again someday :)

5 Star Rating The food is fantastic. The portions are good—not too much, not little. If you are hungry, it will fill you well. The majority of the food is vegan, which is fantastic. And if your friends aren't vegan, they have vegan options, too. They have a good variety of food: baguettes, rice rolls, pho, soup, noodles, etc., so you have options for warm and cold weather. They also offer hot and cold drinks. And they always bring us free tea. The staff is always kind. And the price is very reasonable. The washroom is the only thing I think could be better for us customers. I have attached here the photos of a couple of times my husband and I ate there. I genuinely recommend the Tina Restaurants (previously named Vegan Cafe)🥰
