If you love pasta at great prices then you can’t go wrong here.
Food: 5+/5 - tasty food with great menu options. They offer a lunch special until 2:30 pm along with happy hour specials. I had the tomato pasta topped with cheese and a Caesar salad. Also included was freshly baked bread, salad or soup (I choose minestrone which was tasty), tea/coffee and ice cream. You can’t beat their value considering everything is pricey these days. My gf had the pasta with Hunter’s Chicken which was also tasty.
Service: 5/5 - thanks to Simu for taking care of us and giving us top notch service.
Atmosphere: 5/5 - classic place that is clean & full of timeless character.

I love this location of Old Spaghetti Factory. Food is reasonably price because each main dish came with soup or salad, tea or coffee, and dessert.
Service was always pleasant. I think they have enough service staff which makes service fast.
The restaurant is always full of customers, it is recommended to make a reservation. Area is spacious and there are several parking options nearby. Excellent station because it is near the New Westminster Skytrain station.

I always like going to oSF I know what I get there. The drinks and meals are tasty, good portion sizes and reasonable priced. The all inclusive meals include a soup or salad, main dish and dessert + tea or coffee. Most of them cost between 18-22 $. This time I ordered the tortellini and a sangria, clam chowder beforehand (+$2.99). Everything was delish and service was attentive. I walked back home super full and satisfied.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, visited Sunday afternoon. It was my first time trying out The Old Spaghetti Factory and I loved it! Food is delicious and the ice-cream at the end is sobyummy too!

If you like the vintage ambience, you will not disappointed. All the decorations, the train, lighting, antique tables and chairs are so attractive.
The food are much better than what we expected. All the meals are all inclusive.
One dish includes a warm medium bread with garlic butter, soup or salad, tea or coffee and ice-cream in one very reasonable price.
The prices are really reasonable for the food quality. The streamed one pound mussel is only $10.95 and the quality and portion are good. All the food come out fresh and hot.
Our server is friendly and helpful.
They also offer happy hour. The prices are more reasonable too!

This is a hole in wall place. I wouldn't have noticed it, if I didn't read about it. A very rustic atmosphere, but also looked very fun.
We ordered a BBQ Cheddar, bacon & mushroom burger, that was pretty outstanding. The potatoes wedges were very tasty. We also ordered a Swiss, mozzarella and pickle burger, but added mushrooms with a side of onion rings which was very tasty. I thought it was good as well, but a tad dry. Along with a side of gravy for the side of onion rings and potatoes wedges. It was runny, but taste was very finger licking good. Beverage, we had a Shirley Temple (that didn't really taste like one, but still good) and a strawberry lemonade, which was exceptionally good, but there was a lot of strawberries and it didn't come with a straw?🤔
Overall food was good, but a little overpriced, in my opinion. Although they do advertise that they are the best burger in town.
Waitress was super friendly! Super helpful with the menu as well.
Parking was easy. A small parking lot on the side of the restaurant. I would want to go back and try their milkshakes.

Finally drove out here from Maple Ridge. Our server recommended the Inferno Burger to me and dang was it tasty, had a great amount of heat to it without being too out of balance. My wife and kids had the perogy burger and the bacon Cheddar mozzarella burger. My sons both said that they were the best burgers they ever had.
We will definitely be back, everything was top notch, from our knowledgeable and attentive server to the delicious food.
Highly recommended!! Go here...go here OFTEN! Totally worth the trip.

Dang good burger
Free parking on side, easy paid parking in front
Crispy wedges with delicious gravy
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere.
Burger is one of the best, i got the works with no tomato and onions. Bacon is crispy, patties very juicy. Drove from van west to try this place - definitely worth it!

Best burgers in New West! The patties are huge. The ingredients are very fresh and delicious. I love that the Jalapenos are not pickled, so the pepper flavour is really aparent. The Blue Cheese is so good. Service was quick and we were both so full after. I will be back to try some of the other burgers soon.

Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink.
Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place.
Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

Had the daily special, spicy pulled pork sandwich. It was actually a pretty good homemade style sandwich. Service was fast as well. Wish they gave me more napkins lol
Adam Gauthier - 3 weeks ago
The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and I usually don’t even like pulled pork. Fries were well seasoned and the homemade soda (lemony and gingery) was not too sweet. There was plenty of seating during lunch on a weekday. Prices weren’t cheap, but quality was good. I would like to come by again to try their fried chicken sometime.
Cindy M - 6 years ago
I went off script and decided to get the brisket sandwich. What a great choice. So flavour and tender. I always choose the pulled pork so I haven't had the brisket since Re-Up was just a food truck at the art gallery. I'll have to alternate my choices now. I did get the combo and the fries are delicious but I didn't need them. The sandwich was filling enough!

Food is ok, definitely an extra heater somewhere would make a difference. We were told certain tables were only for lunch customers and expected a big rush, but it was empty throughout the entire morning until around midday. Food is okay (we tried the famous cinnamon bun and found it to be nothing special), drink was good, atmosphere could use an upgrade. I’m a big supporter of small businesses but charging the same prices as nice coffee shops with a not so welcoming space makes me not want to return.

I tried out The Hide Out Cafe for the first time this morning, I ordered an iced vanilla latte, it was delicious! The woman working had such great energy and made the environment extremely welcoming. I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for somewhere new to try!

What a delightful spot!! I came by for a quick bite on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by just how tasty the chicken sun-dried tomato pesto panini & tomato basil soup were. So much flavor and freshness.
What made the experience even better was how warmly I was welcomed by the female staff member (I think her name is Melissa based on other reviews). The atmosphere of the cafe is already relaxing, but her kindness and hospitality really made me feel at home.
I will definitely be making this a regular spot!

Whether you seek a peaceful brunch spot or a quiet place to unwind, this small gem delivers a soothing atmosphere that complements its charm.

Great location just below the NEW WEST train platform. You pay first
You order upfront and pay right away(the machine has tipping option) then front staff will call your ticket number to pick up order.
I wasn’t sure whether to leave my tray on the table or get up to bring it back to cashier? which felt weird coz there’s a service tip? But I was happy the lady from front caught me before I finished up she offered to take the tray from me. :)

I've gotten delivery, takeout and dined in at this location over the years and the service is always fast and friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love their updated menu and addition of korroke and okonomiyaki. I'd eat it every day if I could! New West Station isn't always the most pleasant place to be, but stepping inside this location that's always clean and has a nice atmosphere is a nice reprieve.

I love that they didn't give too much rice in a roll, so there's a lot of filling. Taste is good. The price is increased, so a little bit pricy.

Pizza by the slices or whole pizzas made to order. Lots of variety and it’s nice they reheat the slices in their pizza oven prior to serving singles. Crust is nice and crispy while having a chewy texture…Napoli style. Wine and draft beer available. Not a bad selection of craft beer. Service was quick and friendly. Convenient location in the Skytrain station.

The pizza here is always delicious and fresh, I love it. But the service is even better. They're super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this location. Not too long ago, I had a really good experience at this Pizza Garden and it has stayed with me for days. Definitely going back.

The "spicy beef" pizza is so delicious. Please open a location in Toronto so I don't have to come all the way here to get it. Love that they have some bottles of hot sauce and white dressing you can help yourself to if you're dining in.
Chang Wang - 7 months ago
I won’t come back to this location again. The pizza has been soggy three times now. I even order the pineapple on the side, but it’s still very wet and the tip of the slice is inedible. They say 20 minutes and then I show up early and it’s already sitting there. I think they need to take better care of the pizza, cook it fully so the cheese is properly browned. I really love pizza garden over the years so I am sad this location is a no go 🙅🏽♀️

Don't be scared away by the rather rough looking exterior! This family-owned restaurant serves up some of the best Taiwanese food in town. The beef noodle soup is a must-try. The lunch sets are delicious with generous portions at very affordable prices. Highly recommend!
Y Nguyen - 2 weeks ago
Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food.
The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats.
Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei.
Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try.
When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West!
I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have.
I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. 😋🤗
Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

Meh. The gelato is straight up bad but the view is nice. Salted butter caramel tastes like a werther caramel (couldn’t taste any salt or butter) and I couldn’t finish it because it tasted so sickly sweet, toasted marshmallow should be called tasteless vanilla, the vanilla Ferraro had a yummy chocolate swirl but the actual ice cream tasted like crayons. And the tiramisu was a miss. They also don’t give out samples. Wouldn’t come back.
Lauren G - 2 months ago
The food and coffee taste average. If you’re here for gelato, it might be a good choice, but paying for other food doesn’t feel worth it.
David 04 - a month ago
Stick to the gelato. The pizza was super disappointing. It's marketed as fresh Napoli-style thin crust, and the reality is a pre-fab crust. The margaritas pizza also had only 8 small basil leaves for 10 slices.
They also don't allow gelato samples, which I get... but I wish I could try some of the experimental flavors first.

Ordered a cappuccino which came in a takeout cup even though we were staying and was super tiny it was an espresso with some foam. Being Italian myself that is not a cappuccino! Hopefully you don't want to add any cream or milk to anything because there's nothing out. I did take my very tiny, even though it was the large size, cappuccino back to have them add more milk to it to cut the bitter flavor. I've had a lot of great cappuccino's, this was not one of those. I would have to say this is one of the worst!

food was great, really depends what you get. would most def go back to try new poutines. we got the original which tasted like normal and we got the cowboy which tasted amazing, great portion sizes.
Jaxon V. - 2 weeks ago
I recently visited The Spud shack and had a bit of a wait before getting served. We stood outside for a while checking out the menu, and when we walked in, it felt like the staff were just chatting and not wanting to help us. We were the only ones there and when we initially entered the cooks ran to the back to look busy and the hostess said she had to clean up some tables first before offering to take our order. ( All the tables looked very clean and no one had entered recently or left during the period we were outside the building deciding what we wanted so I’m not sure why they didn’t do that beforehand when it was slow)
They also only have can and bottled drinks, which was a bit disappointing since I was hoping for a fountain drink.
On the food side, I really enjoyed my Buffalo chicken poutine, but I was let down when I noticed the cook let some pieces of chicken fall off at the pick up counter and didn’t add more back, so there wasn’t much chicken on it. My friend got The Nightmarket poutine and loved it—definitely better portions there! The food was warm, fresh, and the place was definitely clean, which was a plus.
Madison G - 3 months ago
Staff are great and will answer any questions you have and will help you make the right choice as they have so many unique poutines to choose from. We had the The Gaucho “Cowboy” it was so much flavor it almost overwhelmed us. The flavors work with each other and each bit is delicious yet never the same as the last bite. We had the smalls and they were still rather large in size so be mindful when ordering as this is not food to be wasted and enjoyed. My friend now wants to go back when back in town visiting as they want to try more of the offerings.

Today, while I was out shopping. I decided to go and grab a poutine from the spud shack. Every time I go there it great as they have delicious poutines, great service and stuff. I ordered myself the medium size of the night market. Which is fries, curds, and gravy topped with ginger beef, spicy mayo, kimchi, crispy wontons, and green onions. It is always a good treat to have on a cold day, but especially after a nice long walk home. Can't wait to have the other ones there as I have had them before.

I want to love this place for the pricing (because you hardly see prices like this anymore in greater Vancouver), but unfortunately the sushi ingredients are just not fresh enough to justify a perfect score.
I got the combo A and the dynamite roll was soggy, the cali rolls tasted off.
That being said I will probably go back:
The ladies working there are very nice and friendly, and I wonder if trying a different menu item would change my mind.

We called before and made a reservation for a group of seven before we came, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiter was not overbearing and only came over when needed.
The Ingredients were very fresh, and the everything was delicious, we all had different dishes and everyone loved their food. I would definitely recommend the veggie spring rolls and their pink rolls. We also had the peach growers, the drinks menu isn't very big, there's only 5-6 drink options.

The restaurant had good value bento lunch specials. But I decided to order from the regular menu since I was craving ramen. I ordered a spicy ramen. The order took more than 30 mins to arrive. I wasn’t too happy since I had to go back to work and was tight for time. I had to check a couple of times and each time the server said the order was coming. When I finished my meal, it was the manager that came and apologized. They gave me a 20% discount for the delay. Informed me that the server should’ve mentioned that the ramen will take longer compared to the other items served for lunch.
The ramen was good and I would come back here to try the lunch specials. The manager made up for the initial lousy server communication but I will come back here again.
