I must admit, my expectations were not entirely met. Upon entering, there was a peculiar odor, reminiscent of an old basement. The food, on the whole, was rather average, with a somewhat bland taste.
The fried calamari appetizer, however, was quite enjoyable, and the dipping sauce was particularly delightful due to its lightness. The green salad was also a pleasant experience. The house Italian dressing was preferable to the balsamic, though that could simply be a matter of personal taste.
Regrettably, the spaghetti with marinara sauce proved to be somewhat disappointing, lacking both flavor and salt. The spaghetti with Alfredo sauce was not unpleasant, but it did not particularly stand out.

Had an amazing time at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Westminster! I went with Mati and Nishta, and I’m so glad they introduced me to this place — such a hidden gem.
I ordered the New York Steak, and it was absolutely delicious. It came with soup or salad, freshly baked bread, a drink, and dessert. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
Our server Fiona was fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and really added to the overall experience.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual date or a fun hangout with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food was excellent. We made a last minute reservation and we still got a spot. The atmosphere was great. Servers have good customer service. I always found this restaurant very vintage-y and i love it. All the decorations amazes me.. i like their deal that all entrees have a soup or salad and a small ice cream after. Will always come back and try different dishes on their menu.

We love going to Old Spaghetti and our last visit on a busy Friday night at this location was awesome! As expected, it was super busy but once we got a seat, everything was very enjoyable. Food was great, service was fantastic (thanks, Clint!), plus the value in what you get in their all-included menu is worth going for every time.
Looking forward to visiting again soon with family & friends.

Spaghetti Factory is pure nostalgia. It’s family friendly. It’s simple. It’s not over hyped. It’s American style pastas with big portions that leaves you with a sense of food coma satisfaction 😬👍

This is a hole in wall place. I wouldn't have noticed it, if I didn't read about it. A very rustic atmosphere, but also looked very fun.
We ordered a BBQ Cheddar, bacon & mushroom burger, that was pretty outstanding. The potatoes wedges were very tasty. We also ordered a Swiss, mozzarella and pickle burger, but added mushrooms with a side of onion rings which was very tasty. I thought it was good as well, but a tad dry. Along with a side of gravy for the side of onion rings and potatoes wedges. It was runny, but taste was very finger licking good. Beverage, we had a Shirley Temple (that didn't really taste like one, but still good) and a strawberry lemonade, which was exceptionally good, but there was a lot of strawberries and it didn't come with a straw?🤔
Overall food was good, but a little overpriced, in my opinion. Although they do advertise that they are the best burger in town.
Waitress was super friendly! Super helpful with the menu as well.
Parking was easy. A small parking lot on the side of the restaurant. I would want to go back and try their milkshakes.

Finally drove out here from Maple Ridge. Our server recommended the Inferno Burger to me and dang was it tasty, had a great amount of heat to it without being too out of balance. My wife and kids had the perogy burger and the bacon Cheddar mozzarella burger. My sons both said that they were the best burgers they ever had.
We will definitely be back, everything was top notch, from our knowledgeable and attentive server to the delicious food.
Highly recommended!! Go here...go here OFTEN! Totally worth the trip.

Simply amazing. I came here for my last real meal before a major operation. Still dreaming of the food. Burgers really are heavenly, and huge. Milkshake was amazing. Atmosphere is really laidback and great.

My wife and I came decided to come in for a "quick" bite before our movie. We arrived around on a Thursday night just before 6, plenty of time we thought before our 7pm show. There were about a dozen people already in the place, which was a good sign. Our server was friendly and showed us to our table. He was the only front of house staff so was pretty busy running between tables. The restaurant is a bit of hole in the wall/university pub feel and pretty dark and brown - definitely hasn't been updated in a long time.
It took us about 10 minutes for the server to come around and get our orders. A couple of things that jump off the menu right away. Firstly, prices are high - burgers are $25-$27 with a specialty burger for $73 and another for $45! Looking at menu pics from other reviewers it seems prices go up every 6 months or so. Sandwich and appy prices seem a bit high as well. The milkshakes seemed like a good deal at about $5.50 but I didn't see anyone drinking them. Second, for a small restaurant there is a lot of stuff on the menu. I would be concerned about the freshness of product or ability of kitchen to produce all the variety of food (see comments below). We got the chicken cordon bleu and the swiss/mozzarella/pickle burgers.
We waited for quite a while for our food and I noticed other tables before us were doing same. We finally got our food 35 minutes after ordering. The servings looked good, produce was fresh and crisp, and the potato wedges seemed hot and crisp. The burgers were pretty big but are served on small plates so look much larger. The beef patty was not seasoned and had a bit of "off" taste (something a few other reviewers have also commented on). The bun was simply cut in half and was cold and dry. As a result, each bite tasted funny with crumbling bun, fresh produce, off beef. It would have been better to at least toast the bun or better yet to grill it on the flattop with some butter to soften it up and add flavor. The wedges were not seasoned either. The chicken burger was good. Finally, the pop was flat, they needed to change their CO2 tank.
We woofed down a few bites and asked for takeout containers for the rest as we needed to rush to our movie. I asked if they were usually this busy and the server apologized for the wait and noted that there was only 1 cook.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning. There are other places that do a better job with burgers and a better price point and faster service. This place has been around for decades so it's nice to see a local businesses doing OK (I remember coming here about 15 years ago with our son and the food was good then).

Dang good burger
Free parking on side, easy paid parking in front
Crispy wedges with delicious gravy
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere.
Burger is one of the best, i got the works with no tomato and onions. Bacon is crispy, patties very juicy. Drove from van west to try this place - definitely worth it!

Had the daily special, spicy pulled pork sandwich. It was actually a pretty good homemade style sandwich. Service was fast as well. Wish they gave me more napkins lol
Adam Gauthier - 3 months ago
Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink.
Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place.
Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

Had a spicy chicken sandwich and biscuit. It was excellent. Not fine dining, but everything you're looking for from a BBQ joint. Chicken was crispy, sauces tasty. A hint of sweetness. Wouldn't hold up well to doordash, so I wouldn't advise that (crispy chicken and sauce don't mix).
Prices very reasonable.
Was told it would take 10-15 to come out and it took 20. Meh. Worth it.

I ordered 2 orders of 2 pcs chicken & half rack of ribs with Cole slaw & potato salad along with a wagu burger which tasted like chuck. One order was correct & the 2nd order had 2 pcs chicken Cole slaw tossed in with the chicken, a container of sauce & no ribs. Coleslaw tasted spoiled so I tossed it. KFC tasted better the ribs were dry. With tip my order cost $60, never again

The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and I usually don’t even like pulled pork. Fries were well seasoned and the homemade soda (lemony and gingery) was not too sweet. There was plenty of seating during lunch on a weekday. Prices weren’t cheap, but quality was good. I would like to come by again to try their fried chicken sometime.

For lunch I ordered a tasty grilled Old Fashioned Ham & Swiss Cheese Bagel with a bowl of Tomato Basil Soup. Excellent soup!!!👍😃
Had a 12 oz cup of Reg. Drip Coffee which was just the right strength!☕️
Nice little patio outside the side door.
Staff were friendly and caring.
I would recommend trying this cafe out!!

Food is ok, definitely an extra heater somewhere would make a difference. We were told certain tables were only for lunch customers and expected a big rush, but it was empty throughout the entire morning until around midday. Food is okay (we tried the famous cinnamon bun and found it to be nothing special), drink was good, atmosphere could use an upgrade. I’m a big supporter of small businesses but charging the same prices as nice coffee shops with a not so welcoming space makes me not want to return.

Jury selection was canceled so my partner and I nipped over to grab a coffee and sit on the patio for a little while - staff were very attentive. The Ginger Peach tea was excellent and well priced - would come here again

What a delightful spot!! I came by for a quick bite on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by just how tasty the chicken sun-dried tomato pesto panini & tomato basil soup were. So much flavor and freshness.
What made the experience even better was how warmly I was welcomed by the female staff member (I think her name is Melissa based on other reviews). The atmosphere of the cafe is already relaxing, but her kindness and hospitality really made me feel at home.
I will definitely be making this a regular spot!

Waited a really long time to try this place for their gooey cinnamon rolls, since their signs always made them sound the best. We managed to snag the last two rolls that day, but I was disappointed when they tasted just average like something from Cinnzeo or Cinnabon. Good enough, but no homemade quality about it.
The chipotle corn chowder and bagel sandwich were delicious and filling. I would go back for lunch if nearby.
Atmosphere was chill and relaxed enough, but our server, an older gentleman, was not very friendly. He was very grumpy, grumbled when he spoke, and just didn’t seem to care or want to be there. The lady behind the counter seemed to be more busy and efficient, and made light conversation with my kid when she stepped in to help with our table. If I do come back, I’d go for the lunch specials, not the cinnamon rolls or the particular server.

Such a pleasant surprise at the New Westminster skytrain station. Simple, fast, fresh, delicious, and large portions for the price in a spotless environment. We came on a weekday at 12:30pm not expecting much. But our order of Favorite Combo came quickly and in large portions with free miso soup. Kiddo was excited and satisfied. Bookmarking for future visits.

Great location just below the NEW WEST train platform. You pay first
You order upfront and pay right away(the machine has tipping option) then front staff will call your ticket number to pick up order.
I wasn’t sure whether to leave my tray on the table or get up to bring it back to cashier? which felt weird coz there’s a service tip? But I was happy the lady from front caught me before I finished up she offered to take the tray from me. :)

I love that they didn't give too much rice in a roll, so there's a lot of filling. Taste is good. The price is increased, so a little bit pricy.

Unfortunately I am not a snake so I can't unhinge my jaw to eat a piece of sushi the diameter of a tennis ball. I ordered the house roll and I ended up trying to scoop up most of it as a pile of rice and imitation crab in the bottom of a dish using a pair of chopsticks. I was really disappointed because the sushi is usually pretty solid here.

Pizza by the slices or whole pizzas made to order. Lots of variety and it’s nice they reheat the slices in their pizza oven prior to serving singles. Crust is nice and crispy while having a chewy texture…Napoli style. Wine and draft beer available. Not a bad selection of craft beer. Service was quick and friendly. Convenient location in the Skytrain station.

I won’t come back to this location again. The pizza has been soggy three times now. I even order the pineapple on the side, but it’s still very wet and the tip of the slice is inedible. They say 20 minutes and then I show up early and it’s already sitting there. I think they need to take better care of the pizza, cook it fully so the cheese is properly browned. I really love pizza garden over the years so I am sad this location is a no go 🙅🏽♀️

Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food.
The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats.
Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei.
Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try.
When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West!
I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have.
I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. 😋🤗
Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

Unpretentious Chinese restaurant with authentic Asian/Taiwanese cuisine... most dishes come in a set. Menu is limited but flavours are very good. Set comes with main dish, rice & 2 slide dishes.
It is a family run restaurant, the guy manning the front & serving the water. The place is clean & with a few tables onsite.
Paid Parking on the street available, there's no parking at the restaurant as it is located in a very small premise opposite Nee Westminster Douglas College.
Food is simple but great, highly recommend!

Meh. The gelato is straight up bad but the view is nice. Salted butter caramel tastes like a werther caramel (couldn’t taste any salt or butter) and I couldn’t finish it because it tasted so sickly sweet, toasted marshmallow should be called tasteless vanilla, the vanilla Ferraro had a yummy chocolate swirl but the actual ice cream tasted like crayons. And the tiramisu was a miss. They also don’t give out samples. Wouldn’t come back.

Had a fabulous time here. Spud shack is nestled conveniently by new Westminster skytrain station and the movie theatre. I discovered my new favorite burger: the Hawaiian, it was ridiculously delicious.
They have over 10 different poutines and each one is so unique and artfully crafted. The night market poutine was a highlight for me.

If you’re eating by yourself, a portion of medium poutine is enough. Nonetheless, the shredded pork (called the Squealer) poutine was pretty filling and delicious. Would come back again and try their other flavours.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this local hole-in-the-wall spot! I ordered the yam, quinoa, and oat burger along with the vegan buffalo chicken poutine. Both absolutely blew me away.
The burger was perfectly crafted with amazing texture and flavour. You can tell real thought went into the blend of ingredients, but the real star was the vegan buffalo chicken poutine. My first time trying vegan poutine and WOW. It had that perfect buffalo kick, the gravy was rich and satisfying, and everything came together beautifully. They didn’t cheap out on the sauce at all. Every single fry from top to bottom was coated in that delicious gravy. No sad, dry fries at the bottom here! The fries stayed crispy despite being generously sauced throughout.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail in every aspect—from the food presentation to the overall execution. I found out that the owner is an Ironman triathlete, and you can absolutely see how that discipline and commitment to excellence translates into his business and the food he serves. Every element was thoughtfully prepared.
The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious—exactly what you want from a local spot. The quality of the plant-based options here rivals any restaurant in the city. This place deserves way more recognition!
I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for creative and delicious food made with care, don’t sleep on this place!

I recently visited The Spud shack and had a bit of a wait before getting served. We stood outside for a while checking out the menu, and when we walked in, it felt like the staff were just chatting and not wanting to help us. We were the only ones there and when we initially entered the cooks ran to the back to look busy and the hostess said she had to clean up some tables first before offering to take our order. ( All the tables looked very clean and no one had entered recently or left during the period we were outside the building deciding what we wanted so I’m not sure why they didn’t do that beforehand when it was slow)
They also only have can and bottled drinks, which was a bit disappointing since I was hoping for a fountain drink.
On the food side, I really enjoyed my Buffalo chicken poutine, but I was let down when I noticed the cook let some pieces of chicken fall off at the pick up counter and didn’t add more back, so there wasn’t much chicken on it. My friend got The Nightmarket poutine and loved it—definitely better portions there! The food was warm, fresh, and the place was definitely clean, which was a plus.

Good Sushi restaurant with a wide variety of options, for a group of 5 or more, family style appetizers, sushi and sashimi rolls, nigiri ($30) per piece, tastes great. Ahmed explained the intend he ordered for us, well fed grown men with average 6ft height and hungry. Check it out, you might even get a free dessert like we did.

The staff are friendly. They helped open the doors while I pushed my grandma in her wheelchair. The place is very nice as well, very roomy. The staff greeted us with a smile.
The good was excellent. The chirashi don was very fresh. Nigiri sushi was made nicely and was flavoured perfectly. Oyster motoyaki and gomaae was also tasty. My Grandma also ordered the unagi don to go. She loved the unagi nigiri that she wanted to take home the unagi don.
There are a lot of different choices to choose from on the menu. I will definitely be coming back to try more things.

I want to love this place for the pricing (because you hardly see prices like this anymore in greater Vancouver), but unfortunately the sushi ingredients are just not fresh enough to justify a perfect score.
I got the combo A and the dynamite roll was soggy, the cali rolls tasted off.
That being said I will probably go back:
The ladies working there are very nice and friendly, and I wonder if trying a different menu item would change my mind.

The Ingredients were very fresh, and the everything was delicious, we all had different dishes and everyone loved their food. I would definitely recommend the veggie spring rolls and their pink rolls. We also had the peach growers, the drinks menu isn't very big, there's only 5-6 drink options.
