We recently ordered from Kamura Sushi and unfortunately won’t be returning. It’s important to note that they only accept cash or e-transfer, and the e-transfer goes to a personal account rather than a business account, which felt unusual and a bit concerning. Inside the restaurant there was a noticeable fishy, musky smell. On a positive note, our food was ready quickly for pickup. However, the sushi itself wasn’t great. The rolls had far too much rice and fell apart as soon as we picked them up. It didn’t taste particularly fresh or authentic. The sunomono was also disappointing. It wasn’t vinegary enough and was served quite warm. Overall, not a place we would recommend or return to.

If you’re craving sushi in generous portions, this is the right place. The portions are pretty big. Most people order takeout since there’s limited seating. Their tea was quite good—it paired well with the sushi and sashimi. I think I should bring a tumbler next time, lol. This restaurant accepts cash or e-transfer only.

I often come to this pizza place for takeout because it’s so delicious! There’s also a staff member named LoveRAJ who really left a strong impression on me. He puts a lot of care into making the pizza and is extremely friendly. Highly recommend!

Had an excellent experience at Freshslice Oakridge! The service was super friendly and quick. A special shout-out to Loveraj, the pizza maker — he made one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Perfect crust, fresh toppings, and great flavour. Highly recommend this location if you want great pizza and great service. Will definitely be coming back!

I ordered the Fresh Slice XL pizza half cheese, half vegetable combo , everything was fresh, and perfectly baked! What truly made the experience stand out was the amazing customer service. The girl at the counter was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure my order was just right. Her warm attitude and professionalism made my visit extra special. Highly recommend this location for both great food and top-notch service!

We have been working on Oakridge center and was looking for a place to have a good breakfast. Found Ash Street Bistro and was blown away by the quality of the food. The Salmon breakfast is simply outstanding and the service is great! I definitely recommend their Americano as well.

My partner and I live just a couple of blocks away and recently discovered this hidden gem inside the seniors’ residence. We had no idea there was a restaurant in there! Suzanne, our server, was incredibly warm and welcoming. She walked us through the menu and recommended the haddock fish and chips and the seared salmon poke bowl which was cooked. Both were generous portions and absolutely delicious. She also shared information about the residence and upcoming Valentine’s and Lunar New Year events. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back next time with the rest of our family.

Went in after a family dr appointment at Oakridge! Was served by Suzanna and her hospitable team! Great service and good hearty food! Not everyday you meet someone from Trinidad with roots in HK and can speak Cantonese with a smile 😊! Will be back for other meal times to try out their menu!

It was our first time dining at Ash Street Bistro, and we were truly impressed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious every dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A big thank you to Suzanne, who was so kind and helpful in assisting us with the menu. She made great recommendations that we really enjoyed. Also, special thanks to Joven, our server, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. best bahn mi I've had in Van. The bread and pate shine. Baguettes are very crispy and flakey, while not being too hard like others. I'm not the biggest fan of pate but this place's is great. Even if the subs weren't this great, I'd be inclined to go just because of the great energy of the lady at the front! If they had indoor tables and some coffee this would be a great spot to frequent.

This is the best hidden gem in the area. It’s also the best Banh Mi in Vancouver in my opinion. Also, my girlfriend ordered their Grilled Chicken Salad today and it was incredible. Their Banh Mi sandwiches are between $8.75 CAD and $9.05 CAD plus tax which is great.
