If you’re craving sushi in generous portions, this is the right place. The portions are pretty big. Most people order takeout since there’s limited seating. Their tea was quite good—it paired well with the sushi and sashimi. I think I should bring a tumbler next time, lol. This restaurant accepts cash or e-transfer only.

The sushi here is huge and hits the spot. There are discounts when you order ahead (2hrs in advance & 1 day in advance). The vast majority of people who come here will order take out, cause there aren't many seats inside. This restaurant used to be called Samurai Sushi, but I think it may be the same owner because the quality is about the same? Hope this place stays around for a long time :)

No frills sushi spot by Oakridge. Best for takeout but there’s a few seats available. Cash or e transfer only. Portion sizes are big! Taste is standard. Lots of good food with maki combo b.

I ordered the Fresh Slice XL pizza half cheese, half vegetable combo , everything was fresh, and perfectly baked! What truly made the experience stand out was the amazing customer service. The girl at the counter was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure my order was just right. Her warm attitude and professionalism made my visit extra special. We have been working on Oakridge center and was looking for a place to have a good breakfast. Found Ash Street Bistro and was blown away by the quality of the food. The Salmon breakfast is simply outstanding and the service is great! I definitely recommend their Americano as well.

It was our first time dining at Ash Street Bistro, and we were truly impressed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious every dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A big thank you to Suzanne, who was so kind and helpful in assisting us with the menu. She made great recommendations that we really enjoyed. Also, special thanks to Joven, our server, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back again with our friends such a wonderful experience from start to finish!

The food was a little disappointing in that my Reuben was really salty. However, this was served so hot that I burned the roof of my mouth when biting into it. A concern I’ve got here is that this is located with a senior residence area - this is a hazard to be served at this temperature for them let alone me. 😐 Yikes! My salad was pretty good and had a nice selection of strawberries and veggies on it. The dressing was a little too much but left the excess in the plate. Service was mixed. I clearly didn’t fit their “standard” customer so was largely left to my own devices. For my bill I had to get up and ask for it because while I kept getting eye contact and nods when I raised my hand for assistance, no one came - that was strange and awkward. 😬 Not a place I’d come back to personally. The food wasn’t anything to write home about and the service mixed. Atmosphere was also not my usual but it also seemed this place doesn’t get a lot of clients that aren’t part of the senior home or visitors to folks living here.

This is the best hidden gem in the area. It’s also the best Banh Mi in Vancouver in my opinion. Also, my girlfriend ordered their Grilled Chicken Salad today and it was incredible. Their Banh Mi sandwiches are between $8.75 CAD and $9.05 CAD plus tax which is great.

Great food. Not a sit-down place, but there are a couple tables out front. Excellent veggie bahn mi! Thought it was a partial meal because of how cheap it was so I got the veggie salad rolls as well and ended up with two delicious meals!

The best pho in town, soup base is rich in aroma and full of herbs favors. Beef are tender and tasty. Pho’s texture is just right. Love it, top notch! Fried chicken rice is super crispy and juicy. Lemongrass grill chicken rice is very aromatic and tender.

Best banh mi we’ve ever had. We ordered the signature and the meatball banh mi. The baguette tasted fresh, soft and flaky. The pickled veggies were fresh and the meatball was super tender. The in house pate spread was creamy and delicious. The most shocking thing about our experience is we found this spot by chance.

The banh mi sandwiches here are so close to the ones I had in Ho Chi Minh City. Found this place on Google and decided to give it a try today and I was not disappointed! The grilled pork banh mi was delicious and had a good amount of pate and meat. It was spicy and had a great taste! I also ordered the daily soup, it was with vegetables and beef and the meat was very tender. Definitely one of the top places in Vancouver for good tasting Vietnamese Banh Mi. Will come back again.
