3 Star Rating The service and atmosphere were acceptable, but the brunch itself was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The eggs had a shockingly strong, smelly odor, I genuinely don’t know how they were cooked that way. The steak was too chewy! Nothing was good.

2 Star Rating Had booked dinner for our family to celebrate a milestone birthday, had anticipated for delicious food only to have been very disappointed by the mains. The appetizers showed great promise, the shrimp scampi, strawberry salad, and carpaccio were great as were the other few appies we ordered. The zero proof drinks were also very enjoyable. Unfortunately, out of the 6 meals we ordered for the mains, the only 2 guests who enjoyed their food were the ones that shared the steak. 3 of us ordered the sablefish main, which has always been a favorite but this time it was unrecognizable. Sablefish is usually very flaky and soft and melts in your mouth . This was not that at all. There was firstly such a small piece of fish in my meal, I only had a couple bites worth. Secondly there seemed to hardly be any fish and it tasted overcooked and nothing like any sablediah I've had before-- very underwhelming. All 3 of us felt the same . The best part of the meal was the small chorizo sausage that was not supposed to be the main highlight. The sweet potato dish also fell flat. This was a mood killer by then end as none of us finished our meals and were left disappointed. Next time if im ever back, ill stick to just the appies and drinks.

5 Star Rating We were visiting Vancouver for the whitecaps game, and we went to moxies after for its close proximity and it was so good! First time, the food was so incredible. The mahi mahi may have been the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, and the guac and chips appy was SO good. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked. Felim made our experience extra special with his fantastic service. Will definitely be back next time!!

2 Star Rating We were going to watch a show at Queen Elizabeth so we decided to try the restaurant. We had a reservation but still we had to stand in a line for almost 10 min. Nobody knew what that line was for. Anyway, the place was busy and loud. We waited for a long lime to have every single orders. The starter was good ( toast, cheese). Our vegan bowl was horrible: cold, Crispy tofu was saggy and wet, no flavor. The dessert was wrong ( which we did not pay for). After 7 pm the restaurant was empty so we assumed the people that go there are the Stadium/ theater goers, not frequent goers. So, why make sure to offer a great service if people would probably not go back there anyway? that could possibly explain the poor quality of food and service. The waiters were friendly though. I do not recommend this place. Go to Browns or Whitespot in the area instead.

5 Star Rating Went there for my mom’s birthday. I had left a note in the reservation asking them that when I ordered dessert, they bring it with a “Happy Birthday” message and they did it in such a beautiful way 🥹 The food was amazing and the portions were big so we were totally full. I recommend trying the shrimp tacos if you like spicy food 🌮 But the best part was our waitress. I don’t know her name but she was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Huge thanks to her! 🫶🏻💚 The only small issue was the lighting, it was a bit too dark 😂 But besides that everything was perfect!

5 Star Rating Food was delicious! We walked in with no reservations and were seated instantly. We had the polenta fries and focaccia to start off; both were amazing. My husband ordered a pizza and I had the bear and steak salad and felt like the perfect combo after all the heavy greasy yummy food. Drinks were good. I opted for prosecco and he did an old fashioned. Service was good and quick despite large groups.

5 Star Rating We went for dinner here and what a great place. The atmosphere is perfect, darker but LED lights on the tables. It was a decently quiet restaurant where I could talk to my partner without having to yell. It wasnt overly busy but the place is large. The server was and very attentive with fast drink and dinner order service. My wife has a Gluten & Dairy allergy and myself onion. I really wanted the seafood linguine but the red sauce had onion. The kitchen made it with a cream sauce instead and WOW!!!! The pasta and entire dish had so much flavour with every bite. My wofe had the Rigatoni Salsiccia with GF noodles and holy flavour.. we both said it was the " BEST " pasta we had ever had eating out at a restaurant. I highly recommend visiting Frankies for dinner any time your DT Vancouver. There was plenty of parking available but if there is anythign going on at BC Place it might be harder to get a spot, since its roght next door. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

4 Star Rating Busy Saturday afternoon. Main restaurant was already packed so we were sent next door to dine at the jazz club. Same menu, just that we have to finish before the club opens at 18:30. Totally fine with us, and we appreciate the smart use of the place to accommodate walk-ins like us. Food overall was great. Found their olive oil a bit bland, but love their tomato sauce. Service was just ok though. Maybe our server gave us a bit too much time and space, walked past us a few times without attending our table. Waited for a while to get our order taken while at least two other tables walked in behind us already ordered in.

5 Star Rating Unique experience as you eat what you make! Your teacher will walk you through a dish, then you go back to your station so that you can create it yourself. He's very engaging, knowledgable, and funny! The fresh ingredients are already measured and partly prepared for you. You do have to put in some work, but it's great that you don't have to prep it from scratch, and no washing dishes! Our group made the steak salad, lobster stuffed squid ink tortellini, and chocolate lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The facility is very clean and elegant. Just a minor note that the location is near Downtown East Side, so be vigilant and you should be fine. Street or parkade parking available nearby.

5 Star Rating I came to Dirty Apron for a corporate event 10+ years ago and had great time so I thought I would sign up for a cooking class for both of us for my husband's birthday yesterday. When he checked out their website, he was intrigued by their Picnics offerings so that was what we did. We ordered for the Gourmet Picnic for Two Option and picked out our sandwich, salad, cookie and beverage choices for each of us the. The charcuterie box included in the Gourmet option was decadent and has plenty of cheeses, meats, fruits, and brownie for 2. We picked up our order at 10:00 on a Wednesday and there was only one party in the deli section enjoying their breakfast. The boxes came with a nice and sturdy hemp / burlap shopping bag and we carried it all the way to Stanley Park for our birthday picnic. We loved everything in our picnic boxes. The bread of our sandwiches were soft. The crab and shrimp in my sandwich was creamy and tasty. The Japanese potato salad had a very nice kick to it. My salted caramel cookie was sinfully good. We were too full to touch the charcuterie box so we brought it home for dinner with a bottle of viognier.

5 Star Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible time at the Mama Mia cooking class at The Dirty Apron with Rafael as our instructor! From the very beginning, Rafael’s passion and skill truly stood out. He made everything so easy to follow, no matter your experience in the kitchen. He was funny, engaging, and incredibly kind—especially when we got a little lost in our recipe. He guided us patiently and never made anyone feel out of place. Every other staff member working that night was also amazing—so helpful, friendly, and professional. The whole team made the experience feel fun, smooth, and welcoming from start to finish. One thing to note: be sure to book your class a few months in advance! These classes are super popular and fill up quickly, especially if you want to join on a Tuesday with Rafael. I would 100% take this class again and recommend it to everyone looking for a fun and memorable evening.

5 Star Rating It’s a Yes! We just left a morning meat inspired cooking class. That was fun! The recipes were simple enough to be repeatable at home. The staff does a lot of the prep work so we spent more time practicing the skills of mixing/tasting and working techniques. In the few hours we cooked and ate 3 dishes. That was plenty of food. The price is fair. Considering the portions and having a glass of alcohol paired with each dish I do really believe it is worth the money. Especially because I learned transferable skills which will make my home cooking experience a level better. If not two levels up!! :) Staff were kind. Chef was personable and again, the presentation was professional yet very approachable for anyone who wants to make delicious food approachable. The meals were not complicated. For me, this was a huge bonus. I’m excited for my wife to buy me another gift certificate. Hehehe. Can’t wait to get a group of friends to join us the next time we go! Also. I wish I had more photos. Just one dish of 3. Thanks team

2 Star Rating we had high hopes based on a recommendation, but left feeling a bit let down. service was great, atmosphere also nice but there seemed to be a mouse running around the dining area. The place was too warm with poor airflow and outside was much cooler. The killer was the food, it sounds great, looks nice, no flavour. The food uniformly has no seasoning at all, the best of our dishes was the cauliflower, not because they seasoned it but it comes with a slice of lemon and we could do it ourselves. The pita bread was so low effort, just packaged pita cut, no seasoning, not even heated.

3 Star Rating We went to Nuba for our anniversary dinner and had high expectations but left quite disappointed. The appetisers were nice but for the price not really, there was nothing extra ordinary. I was excited to order zaatar stuffed chicken but to my disappointment we were told it wasn’t served on their branch. I wish the menus for all the branches were marketed separately. We ordered chicken shawarma to play safe but it wasn’t safe lol , it had this seasoning which was super overpowering and off putting. We ended up returning it. I also feel service is so important in restaurants, our server had this poker faced which made her so unapproachable. She didn’t bother asking what was wrong with the dish, didn’t offer anything to make our night better. In the end I feel It’s the little things too that makes or breaks your experience. The ambience was super cozy which we loved.

We ordered the Grilled Sampler Platter for two ($60), but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The grilled chicken had a strong burnt, bitter taste that overpowered everything else. On the positive side, the lamb, shrimp, and broccoli were well-cooked and enjoyable. However, considering the portion size and the price, we felt it didn’t offer good value overall

3 Star Rating Taste and quality has been consistent over the years. I used to visit 1-2 times a week, but the porchetta sandwich has gotten smaller and smaller in size for $14. Decided to get the Porchetta meal today, croutons are missing in the salad, and portion wise... this is overpriced for $19.50. This is not a good venue to visit, when they are charging restaurant level pricing for street food portions.

He’s super nice, we wanted to sit a bit closer and he kindly let us know the table hadn’t been bussed. Ran over when he had time to clean it for us.

5 Star Rating Perfect place for midnight craving for smoothies or bubble tea as they open til 1am! The mango coconut milk is a gem. They even have this spin the wheel thing if you bought their beverage and I got an extra mango jelly for free yay! The black sugar milk bubble tea is so rich in flavor as well. They don’t go skimpy on your toppings👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻will definitely be back!

5 Star Rating BEST BUBBLE TEA IN VANCOUVER After I ordered wayyyy too much because it all looked soo good the kind gentleman was quick to help me get my order back down to a realistic price and portion. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and wallet. He was quick to get me a bubble tea while he prepared my meal and it was the best bubble tea I've ever had ever hands down this place is incredible

5 Star Rating I found Charisma looking on google maps for a place for a late snack or drink. I am very glad to have found this place and support local small business! The staff was very kind, he said it's family-run and he works looong hours. I wish them to have more business. I tried there Award-winning apple cheesecake and it was indeed delicious!! The back of the restaurant can be booked for events, looks nice for gathering. Quiet at night when we went, it felt comfy with the banquet sittings. Look for their deals such as happy hours drinks and snacks.

5 Star Rating I wish I could give you more than five stars. The coffee, hot or is the best I have ever had. Your pastries and sandwiches are delicious and many. The mornings sitting out on the terrace is relaxing and full of interesting views. Music is soothing and not too loud. And your staff! Your staff are so friendly and supportive of everything. I absolutely loved coming here every morning not only for the coffee but also to engage with you and your team.

5 Star Rating The “Father of Buns” did NOT disappoint. We have eaten here three mornings in a row and every morning has been FABULOUS! The raspberry croissant … please! However the blow my mind treat - Berry Mascarpone Dream. So good. Maybe the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. Everything worth the trip!

5 Star Rating A Hidden Gem That Never Disappoints! I stumbled upon PappaRoti Café & Bakery on Canada Day, and it instantly became one of my favorite places in the city. The festive atmosphere, adorned with lights and a proud Canadian flag, made it a perfect vibe to celebrate the day. I was completely intrigued and mesmerized by how welcoming and beautifully set up the space was. What truly sets this place apart are the unique and mouthwatering recipes—everything from their signature buns to the iced Karak tea is pure comfort in a cup. The flavors are distinctive and delicious, they make every visit feel special. The owner is absolutely lovely, and the staff always greet you with warmth and kindness. Their hospitality is consistent, and each time I come here, I walk away with a great experience and a happy heart. You can tell they care deeply about their customers and their craft. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a cozy catch-up with friends, PappaRoti delivers. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot that combines exceptional food, inviting ambiance, and genuine service.

5 Star Rating The bun is the star of the show here, and the coffee slaps hard too. But don’t sleep on the Jamaican meat (beouf & chix) patties at Papa Rotti. I lived in NYC and now know some good spots near my current residence. These were some of the best spicy beef patties I’ve had outside of New York. Super friendly staff, good enough WiFi, close to the Sky Train station.
