5 Star Rating A nice place to slow down in the city. TREES offers hot drinks in different sizes and various types of cheesecake. The cappuccino was very good and large and the cheesecakes we tried (Oreo, Blueberry, Lime and Nuts) were very tasty and sweet. The atmosphere in the café is pleasant and quiet.

5 Star Rating Absolutely love this place for great coffee, delicious desserts, and the option to grab a quick bite! They always have something fresh like sandwiches and wraps, which makes it a perfect spot for a casual stop. We had the Ham Swiss Croissant, Ham and Cheese Baguette, Oreo Cheesecake, and—of course—coffee. Everything was fresh, tasty, and hit the spot. Highly recommend!

3 Star Rating The server was very friendly the cafe was clean and welcoming. The Macha latte was not bad but not great, it didn't help that they only filled it up 3/4 of the way up, the rest was just foam, pricey for a 6 dollar drink. They have a few GF treats as well.

3 Star Rating Been meaning to come here for a long time - always passing by and given the good reviews. I was disappointed with the taro latte, but their cheese cakes were decent - did not quite meet our expectations though. Maybe their other drinks are much better and they do have interesting decor inside

5 Star Rating Came here for a work dinner and the experience was excellent. Carlos, our host and server, was excellent. He's respectful, knowledgeable and attentive. He definitely provides top tier service. The atmosphere of the basement eating area was casual but elegant at the same time. The wood beams supporting the ceiling plus the paintings adorning the walls were a great combination. The food was great as well. The bread was your normal bread that you get but it's a great precursor to what was to come. I got the lentil and vegetable soup. That soup was delicious and the pepper added that necessary bite. The veal lasagna was great as well. Sadly, the veal was lost in the lasagna and didn't seem to add much but as a pasta it was delicious. I do recommend having it with parmesan when offered. The saltiness of the cheese complements the tangy tomato sauce very well. Lastly, the chocolate ganache tort is probably my favourite part of the meal. The chocolate was sweet but not too sweet. The ganache was thick and creamy. That dessert will definitely be my go-to when I visit. Overall, the experience was top tier with excellent food and a great server.

5 Star Rating Passing through Vancouver I decided to try this restaurant driven by the photos and the fact that they make gluten free pizza and pasta, very beautiful environment in a splendid setting, very kind and knowledgeable staff, I chose a gluten-free margherita as a main course, well cooked and abundant, the only small flaw was the very crunchy edge but it's part of the game and quite normal for it to be like that, 2 glasses of barbera in the meantime and sorbet at the end.

5 Star Rating A truly spectacular experience at the Top of Vancouver! We went up for their happy hour, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the city. The main event is, of course, the view. The slow revolution of the restaurant provides an ever-changing, breathtaking panorama of Vancouver, the mountains, and the ocean. It creates a magical ambiance that you just can't get anywhere else. We were very impressed with the happy hour drinks, which were excellent and a fantastic value. While we only planned on having drinks, we couldn't resist the chocolate hazelnut dessert, and it was absolutely amazing—rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet treat to enjoy with the stunning scenery. The service was also top-notch; attentive, friendly, and professional, making the whole experience feel truly special. For an unforgettable view and a touch of elegance, Top of Vancouver is a must-do.

4 Star Rating First of all, you get views that is unique and thoroughly enjoyble, most likely you would end up in spending more than 50 minutes, enough to complete one full revolution of beautiful scenery around - and it covers what not - five stars of Hospitality, cathedral of Spirituality, mega offices of Commerce- banks, IT, logistics almost everything, Transport sector - long rail and road infrastructure, marine ships and passenger cruises, seaplanes and airliners landing, taking off in distance, civilian Infrastructure - water works, construction, Nature - land, sea, mighty mountains of Pacific coast, Wildlife - sea birds, even whale sprays if you are lucky. I love it and you would too. Food is good, as expected but real gem is service, the lady who took care of my dining, not only helped me to order best possible for me, even helped to place my camera on table to make time lapse video by improvising the mount for camera. Her attention to my comfort and requirement of dining was complete. A big thanks to her. Pricey somewhat but the location and views compensates for it. I visited from 3pm to 5m which was happy hour and not crowded. The lady at lift lobby at ground floor arranged for reservation there itself. Highly recommend.

5 Star Rating Dining at the top of a high skyscraper is a unique way to experience any city, and this one is no exception. Metro Vancouver has neatly gridded suburbs to the south and east, stunning mountains and the harbour to the north, and the view west of this restaurant were an up-close glance at all the other glass towers that comprise the rest of downtown. Over a dinner table set on 360 degree rotation (@ 1 hour per orbit), my wife and I enjoyed the sunset and the gradual transition between natural light fading out and the building lights switching on across the city neighbourhoods. To maximise enjoyment of these surroundings, service was thoughtfully paced to let us linger between courses. Likewise, the menu items were all well-executed classics that complement the viewing experience rather than distract it. Part of what made this dinner great was that the restaurant balanced all of these components well. We recommend you consider this spot if you have several hours to spare and have an occasion worth celebrating over good drinks and a good view.

4 Star Rating Went for brunch with a friend on a Saturday at noon for something a little different. The view is of course the highlight of the meal with the slow revolution allowing full 360 degree views over 1 hour. We had a window seat and it was just spectacular. For the brunch overall the meal was good as was the service, however bit short to earn 5 stars. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, my self with toast on the side, and my friend with salad in place of the potato hash. The food arrived relatively timely but certainly not quickly. The restaurant was at most 30% full, so I thought service might be quicker. The food was tasty, warm but not hot though. The toast came with butter but no jams were included. Service was okay, but not stellar. My friend ordered a Latte, and it took almost 15 minutes to arrive. Little things such as no offering jams for the toast, or offering to refill hot water in teapot are things that separates good from great service, especially given the cost for a brunch being over $100 for 2. Aside from the view, I am not sure I would return for brunch, but might try dinner to see the night sky sometime.

5 Star Rating I had the pleasure of dining at Five Sails and it was truly an unforgettable evening. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The food was exceptional—each dish beautifully presented and full of flavor, a perfect balance of creativity and finesse. What really elevated the experience was the outstanding service. Our host, Jesse, and the manager went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless, from start to finish. They even helped celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday in the most thoughtful way, which made the evening all the more special. The combination of fine cuisine, attentive service, and the team’s genuine hospitality made for a memorable night. I would highly recommend Five Sails to anyone looking for a premium dining experience in Vancouver.

3 Star Rating We visited Five Sails to celebrate my birthday, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement before the meal. The service was genuinely warm and welcoming — our server, originally from Spain, was friendly, chatty, and made us feel at ease. The restaurant’s view is definitely its highlight, offering a stunning panorama of the harbour, especially beautiful at sunset. However, the food did not quite meet our expectations. While the presentation was elegant, the flavors were average. Overall, if you’re looking for a place with excellent service and breathtaking views for a special occasion, Five Sails is worth a visit, but if food is your top priority, you might leave slightly disappointed.

5 Star Rating Five Sails changes their menu completely by their Head Chef Alex Kim, Top Chef winner of 2025. They are pleasantly surprised. Reservation requires a deposit to avoid no show. As we walked in the restaurant we were greeted by the host and take us to our usual table. The new restaurant manager Ellie also came to greet us at our table with explanations and introductions to their new menu. Overall the dishes are prepared with great attention to detail and gastronomy. They are well presented and pleasing to the eyes! I asked for low sodium diet and they have noted to offer in our future visits. There are some minor servicing details where the restaurant manager demonstrates the eagerness to listen and continue to improve and enhance the dinning experience. The restaurant decor is elegant and refined. The background music could be a little bit softer and I personally prefer music to songs. Overall we thoroughly enjoy tonight’s dinning experience and have made an upcoming reservation to celebrate my birthday next month. This restaurant is definitely back to our to-go lists in celebration.

4 Star Rating We came to Five Sails to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The waterfront and mountain views were absolutely stunning, setting the perfect scene for a special evening. The food was Michelin-level – we had beef tartare to start, followed by filet mignon and lamb loin. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was attentive and professional, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which made us feel special. The price was fair for the quality and overall experience. A couple of things could be improved: we had to wait 15 minutes for our table, even though we arrived exactly on time for our reservation. Also, the music didn’t quite match the elegant setting – a more classic lounge vibe would be more fitting. That said, the volume was just right and didn’t interfere with conversation.

5 Star Rating My husband and I had a fantastic evening here. The Cuban cocktails were top-notch, as was the Cuban sandwich (it had another name on the menu, but I can't remember it). I just have to thank the cameraman for his great service, and the chef and bartender; they did an excellent job. This is coming from a Cuban who loved spending a little time on her beautiful island. Also, thank you for the music. 🥰

3 Star Rating I often come to Gastown in search of good food, and usually I’m never disappointed — but this time was the exception. We were just looking for a quick bite before heading downtown to catch a musical. The food was… okay, nothing too exciting. The burger ranked somewhere between McDonald’s and A&W. Maybe this place is more about the drinks than the food. Either way, it did the job of filling us up!

3 Star Rating Came here for happy hour before a show. We decided to come here because of the good reviews, but was disappointed. We had: Single Smash Burgers ($10) -The phots that we saw, looked nothing like the ones we had. The one we had reminded me of a McDonald's cheeseburger, so I'm a bit confused as to someone saying it was the best burger they had. Although I'm not too sure if the happy hour burger may be completely different from the burger on their regular menu. Truffle Tots ($12) - Super cheesy and quite the Truffle taste on the cheese. Beef Tartare ($16) - This was not part of the happy hour menu, but it was worth a try for us. The beef was diced in bigger chunks, but rather bland.

3 Star Rating Solid atmosphere, especially when they have live music! Great playlist otherwise. Food was good. Not out of this world but good takes on classic dishes and surprisingly cheap happy hour prices. Service was under average. No smiles, on the longer edge of wait times, charged extra for a few thin slices of bread. On top of that, the lowest tip option is at 18% on top of taxes. Let's just say the $30 dollar tip left a sour taste in our mouths.

The grilled sirloin dish was average. It didn't really stand out. The mashed potatoes were good , the broccoli was just a bit too hard or undercooked. I did order a rare steak and it came very chewy and had to put some effort into cutting it up. Maybe next time I'll try a medium. The servers were good and nice. Rouge has an area in the back you can book for private events with its own bar. It’s pretty nice and large. No one was seating in the patio area, it’s not the greatest location to be seating outside on a busy road with lots of foot traffic. They walked me through what I could order and even removed certain sauces when needed. That extra care really stood out. Now for the food. The Aburi Oysters are a must. The truffle and miku sauce combination melts in your mouth. I could have easily ordered plate after plate. The Salmon Oshi Sushi was also unforgettable. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. We tried the Brussels Sprouts, which were not gluten free and honestly not very impressive, so I would stick to the Aburi and nigiri. The nigiri pieces themselves were also excellent. Miku completely changed how I think about sushi outside of NYC. I fell in love with Aburi and would come back just for that.

5 Star Rating My friends and I were out for a casual night, and oh man Miku didn’t disappoint! From the service to the ambiance to the freshness of the food, this place is top tier. I highly recommend getting the assorted sushi — everything was super fresh. And make sure to try both types of soy sauce they offer! The deep-fried soft shell crab was also a hit. It was perfectly crispy and full of flavour. I’d definitely come back!

5 Star Rating Just had the most incredible dinner at Miku Waterfront tonight and I'm still blown away! Our server, Wassan S, was absolutely phenomenal - attentive, knowledgeable, and made our entire evening special. They guided us through the menu perfectly and their recommendations were spot-on. The food was next level! We tried the Miku Kaiseki and Waterfront Kaiseki which were both artistic masterpieces that tasted even better than they looked. The sushi rolls (especially the Dynamite and Surf & Turf) were incredibly fresh, and the pan-seared scallops were cooked to perfection. The lobster ceviche was a delightful surprise that had amazing flavor complexity. The drink program here is also exceptional - the Ginger Yuzu Gimlet and Yuzu Kosho Caesar were creative and delicious, and the sake flight was perfectly curated. Even the wine selection (we had the Chaberton Chardonnay) paired beautifully with our meal. The atmosphere, service quality, and food execution make this a truly special dining destination. Wassan made sure we felt welcome from start to finish and elevated what was already going to be a great meal into an unforgettable experience. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend for any special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary.

5 Star Rating Possibly the best sushi and sushi experience I’ve ever had. The plates were gorgeous without being pretentious. The sushi was fresh and everything we ate was delicious. This could be my new favourite sushi spot. We had a seat overlooking the water which was great. We went at lunchtime during the week, the service was attentive and professional. My only complaint is the acoustics aren’t the greatest in the section to the right, it’s actually pretty noisy so kind of difficult to have a conversation, but not impossible. Still worth it and the price was quite reasonable for what you get. I’ll definitely be back.

4 Star Rating We ordered the salmon oshi, surf and turf roll, red wave roll, miku signature selection and aburi signature selection. Honestly, no complaints at all! I loved it all, the oshi and surf and turf roll being best! Staff are very helpful with the menu options. They do not offer a small dessert for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries which, given its level of luxury, is a bit of a let down hence the 4 stars.
