4 Star Rating Came here on a Sunday evening and got seated at the sushi bar, which was a great experience — it’s always nice to watch the sushi chefs at work. We weren’t too hungry, so we ordered a few items to share. Our server recommended a bottle of sake to pair with the food (wish I had taken a photo of the label!), and interestingly, it was served in a wine glass instead of traditional sake cups. We ended the meal with dessert and an espresso martini. Overall, it was a great dinner — the atmosphere was relaxed yet upscale and very clean. Would definitely come back!

5 Star Rating We drove all the way from Seattle for this place, and after all these years, it still delivers. Top-notch food quality, impeccable service, and an awesome ambiance. We had cocktail prawns, lobster, and sablefish. Everything was perfect for our birthday dinner. Shout-out to our server Robb. His attention to detail and dedication to making sure all our needs were met made our evening special and unforgettable. We’ll definitely be coming back for our next big day or whenever we just don’t want to be disappointed.

5 Star Rating Blue Water Cafe isn’t just our favorite restaurant—it’s our second home. My husband and I come here all the time, and it’s always special. But when it came time to plan our wedding party, they turned special into truly unforgettable. Stephan, the incredible Director, helped us bring our vision to life with such care and precision. Every little detail was thought through, and his amazing team executed it all so seamlessly. It honestly felt like magic. ✨ The food was beyond delicious—elegant, flavourful, and absolutely world-class. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. For a wedding dinner, it didn’t just meet expectations—it soared way above them. And the bar? Let’s just say even our pickiest friends found their perfect drink (or three). 🍸🍷😉 The space was set up beautifully, with AV and a mic ready to go—because yes, there were speeches, and yes, I cried. Everything flowed perfectly. Huge hugs and thanks to Erin, our amazing head waiter, who kept everything calm and on time like a total pro. And to Martin, Adam, and Ben—thank you for keeping the drinks flowing (honestly, I don’t know how your arms didn’t fall off!). You guys were fabulous. Thank you, Blue Water, for making our celebration feel like a dream. You’ll forever be part of our love story. 💕

5 Star Rating We went for our last night in Vancouver and it didn’t disappoint… wonderful, extremely fresh (and sustainable!) seafood. We loved tasting the difference between the local fresh oysters, and the Sablefish was incredible. The drink menu is also huge, with very creative cocktails — try the Sakura! Overall it was pricey but worth it, the best you can get in the city.

2 Star Rating Andrea was an excellent server—friendly, patient, and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, the hostess just showed us to our table and dropped the menus in a messy way, which felt unwelcoming. When I asked her a question, she seemed clueless and simply told me to “check the menu,” which was disappointing. The pasta (prawn ravioli) was lovely but far too small a portion for the price. The piña colada was nice, but much of the food was overly saucy, making it sticky and less enjoyable to eat. Overall, not quite the experience my wife and I were expecting from the place.

5 Star Rating Went with a group of 7 people. Walked in without a reservation and we were accommodated on high tops around the bar. It was a last minute decision to eat but next time I would make reservations. Ambiance was nice but my goodness the music was super loud so if you're sensitive to noise be aware. Had salad with rice noodles and shrimp. Other members of our party had sushi and other entrees.

4 Star Rating Dinner at Cactus Club – Always Solid After a long day at work, we stopped by the Cactus Club Yaletown near home—our go-to spot for a reliable meal. We kicked things off with the Creole Fries with honey toss—super tasty and a great way to start. I always get the shredded chicken lettuce wraps (a personal favorite), but tonight they were a bit heavier on the sauce and spice than usual. Still good, just a little overwhelming. The fish tacos and chicken burger were solid—nothing groundbreaking, but definitely satisfying. Honestly, that it up in general for us: nothing too fancy, but consistently good and comforting. Shoutout to our server tonight—she was friendly and on top of everything, even though I didn’t catch her name. Service is usually good here, but tonight it was especially great. We’ll be back again soon, as always.

5 Star Rating My husband and I got married at Brix just over a week ago, and we had the most amazing celebration! We had our ceremony and reception all in one evening, and it could not have gone better. The atmosphere was magical, the staff were amazing, and Jenn and her team thought of everything! Their support throughout the process of planning was unmatched. They helped me figure out every detail, from the menu, to the timeline, to seating, decor etc. I got so many compliments from guests during and after our wedding about how smoothly everything went, how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was and how great the service was. Brix also recommended an amazing DJ and photographer. Thank you so much Jenn, David, Jaimie, Wade, Jacob, Germain, Hobee, Corey and Shauna for making our wedding the most incredible day. You all put so much care and effort into supporting us and making us feel so special! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller wedding, and who is intimidated by the process of wedding planning - and truly anyone at all!!

4 Star Rating It’s one of the good options to go for if you’re in the mood for some Mediterranean cuisine. We went for the Vegetarian platter. The highlight for me was the roasted Cauliflower or Najib’s special that’s what it’s called on the menu. I absolutely loved it. The cauliflower was well roasted and was full of flavour and fragrance. The falafel was also good. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The hummus was yummy and the home made bread was tasty! I didn’t like the lentils and rice dish so much. For cocktail, I had the Gimlet which was well made! For dessert, I had the caramel brûlée which was yummy. My friends had the Turkish coffee which was flavourful. The baklava was decent.

5 Star Rating 🌟 Amazing Lebanese Food at Nuba in Yaletown! 🌟 If you’re looking for delicious, healthy, and flavorful Lebanese food, Nuba in Yaletown is a must-visit! Everything from the food to the atmosphere and service was top-notch. 🍽️ The Food (5/5) We tried a few dishes, and honestly, every single one was a hit! ✅ Najib’s Special (Crispy Cauliflower) – Hands down the BEST dish of the night! Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The dip made it even better! ✅ Chicken Skewers – So juicy and tender, paired with creamy hummus and pickled veggies. Loved the balance of flavors! ✅ Makanek (Lebanese Sausages) – These little sausages were packed with spices and had a slightly sweet glaze. Super tasty with the yogurt sauce! Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and not overly greasy. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. 🏡 The Atmosphere (4.5/5) The vibe here is warm and inviting, with a nice blend of modern and Middle Eastern decor. It’s a bit on the cozy side, so it can get busy, but that just adds to the energy. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially for dinner! 💁‍♀️ The Service (5/5) The staff was super friendly and helpful! They gave great recommendations and checked in just the right amount. The food came out at a good pace, and we never felt rushed. 💰 Worth the Price? (4.5/5) Prices are a little on the higher side, but considering the fresh ingredients and overall experience, it’s totally worth it. Plus, they have tons of vegan options, which is a big plus! 📌 Final Thoughts – Highly Recommend! Whether you’re a fan of Lebanese cuisine or just want to try something new, Nuba in Yaletown won’t disappoint. The crispy cauliflower and chicken skewers are absolute must-tries! 🔥 Rating: 5/5 🔥 📍 Location: Yaletown, Vancouver 📅 Make a reservation if you’re coming for dinner! Would 100% come back again! 🙌

5 Star Rating We visited this Japanese sushi restaurant for a family lunch, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive service set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. We ordered the premium chef-selected 12-piece sushi set, which included a beautiful mix of traditional and aburi nigiri, fresh rolls, and sushi. Each piece was meticulously prepared and offered a perfect balance of flavor, freshness, and texture. The aburi selections were especially impressive, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality and delicate smoky aroma. We also tried the aburi butler steak — rich, tender, and perfectly seared — and some chicken strips for our young son, which he loved. Every dish came with a warm bowl of miso soup, which was comforting and well-balanced. The atmosphere was calm and refined, with a clean, modern aesthetic that still felt welcoming for families. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for a satisfying Japanese meal, this restaurant delivers on every level. Highly recommended for both quality and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

3 Star Rating The restaurant has a nice, slightly upscale atmosphere, and while the food was okay, it didn’t quite meet expectations given the high prices and small portions. We ordered octopus, which unfortunately was a bit overcooked and had a burnt taste. When I politely brought it up, the waitress responded in a way that felt dismissive and a little rude—saying that I shouldn’t have eaten it if I wanted it changed, even though I wasn’t actually asking for a replacement. That kind of attitude left a bad impression. Overall, the experience was just average—decent food, but not memorable, and the service left room for improvement.

5 Star Rating We travel all the time and Vancouver is a place we have been back to around 20 times. Rodney’s Oyster House in Yaletown is a gem and sits atop our TOP 3 restaurants in Vancouver. We have already been twice during this current visit. The vibe is outstanding. The servers and staff are quirky, fun, talkative and helpful and this has been the same on all of our visit over the last 10 years since we first discovered Rodney’s. We almost always go during Happy Hour. I love PNW Oysters and in particular medium size with a lower salinity level. Well guess what Restaurant serves this type to perfection – Rodney’s! They most often serve Fannie Bay Oysters and the taste is the best of all the oyster places we have tried. Other Happy Hour choices we love/loved include the Halibut Tacos and the Garlic Prawns Skillet. This last time we tried the Lobster sliders off of the main menu and they were fantastic. The Happy Hour pale ale beer on tap is so cold and so refreshing. The Happy Hour red wine is the only no go - no thanks item - ha. This place is a home run and must visit for us to recommend to anyone and to go to ourselves every time we visit.

5 Star Rating Rodney's Oyster House is a mix of bar and open kitchen. I tried their West Coast and East Coast oyster, which was fresh and tasted like the ocean. I ordered Pacific coastline lingcod, also called buffalo cod, for the main course. It was pan-seared and served with vegetables, butternut squash puree, and a blackberry. The fish skin was crispy and perfectly cooked. Combining the puree and blackberries elevated the whole dish. The bartender is also very talkative and friendly. It is so sad that the last order is before 10 pm.

5 Star Rating Came here for one of the nights on my honeymoon on the recommendation that they had amazing fresh seafood. I’m from the US east coast but moved to Ohio several years ago. Ever since it’s been hard to be impressed by any seafood so whenever I’m near a coast I alway go. I read that Vancouver was praised for their crabs so I came here with the intent of trying a whole Dungeness crab. I was NOT disappointed. The crab: Was very fresh, sweet and very tender and a decent size for the price. Happy hour oysters: Did not intend to get these but they were very delicious and fresh. They had a less fishy taste than when I’ve gotten them from other places. Every table had oysters on it so it’s wildly popular there. New England Clam Chowder: Best chowder I’ve had in a long time. Great texture, not too gloopy or watery, perfect amount of pepper-taste, and a hint of a Smokey spice in each bite. AND chocked FULL of clam bits. Drinks: The house wine and lager match really well with the fresh seafood. And they fill those cups to the top!

5 Star Rating Taking a stroll from David Lam Park to Cooper’s Park led to an unexpected culinary delight—Provence Marinaside. So far, this place serves the best ravioli and baguette I’ve had in BC. The baguette was perfectly done—crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. It was so good, we couldn’t resist ordering a second one. As for the ravioli? Simply the best in town. The balance between the sauce and the filling was spot on—rich, flavorful, and satisfying. Not everything hit the same high mark though. The meatballs had a lovely tomato sauce and were well-prepared, but $16 for two medium-sized pieces feels a bit steep. Worth trying, but not the best value. The only real disappointment was the steak. We ordered it medium, but it came out clearly overcooked. While we didn’t send it back (we don’t like wasting food), even at medium-well, it just met the standard—not exceptional. The sauce, however, was excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive—staff showed up at just the right times and treated us well throughout the meal. Despite the letdown with the steak, the overall experience and quality of the other dishes were so good that I’m still giving Provence Marinaside a solid 5-star rating. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

4 Star Rating It is a huge restaurant offering both patio heated and indoor seating. Located right by the water, it offers a very relaxing ambiance. Decent quality except the scallops I had is a bit sandy. The pasta is on the salty side especially the salmon. They offer a dessert for the birthday person which is very generous these days. Attentive service. Overall an enjoyable experience.

5 Star Rating This is going to be my favorite go to French Seafood restaurant with amazing views of Marinaside. Great food & service from concierge Lorenzo to Melody our waitress and even the gal who kept filling our water without asking. We started with nicely fried calamari which came with some light salad. Delicious & tender. We ordered the whole Dover sole lemon buttered fish to share and added seasonal veggies. Deliciously seasoned. It also came with potatoes. Note: it cost $5-$8 if you want them to cut fish for you inside. But it’s a much enjoyable experience to see the whole fish and it was easy to share as it was pre sliced on the side to lift up the fish to pull out the moist fish. Perfectly cooked as I’m a fish lover. Bonus was free surprise desert for my hubby on his bday and I tried first time French cake which was sponge cake with mixed berries inside & nice baked exterior served warm with side of vanilla ice cream. We were so thankful to be accommodated great new outdoor patio seating right on the street with amazing Marinaside view. My hubby and I are autoimmune compromised so it was nice we could reserved patio seating which most restaurants don’t do. Value of food, service, and ambiance totally worth it. I posted clips of video indoor & outdoor and menu to view. Enjoy.

5 Star Rating Had a fantastic time with my dog! Pet friendly patio, excellent service from the time you step to be greeted, through end to service to make you feel pampered! The bennys and focaccia were to die far, the potatoes very indulgent! Ordered a side portion of ham and bacon for my doggo, served in her own little container and water bowl with ice. Coffee was refilled timely, with a keen eye to ensure you had everything you needed. The spot is by the waters, great location near Yaletown doc with lots of vegetarian options. Feedback: I would recommend though to have options to swap meat with vegetarian options like mushroom or avocado without an extra charge, it's common practice in majority of breakfast spots, so was surprised to hear this, a slight let down in comparison to the impeccable service and great quality of food. Will definitely visit again. You should sell your focaccia, I'm sure you'll have long queues to buy it! 10/10 :)

5 Star Rating Our experience here was truly wonderful. The food was delicious, but what stood out the most was Kelly’s thoughtful care and the warm, welcoming atmosphere she created for us. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy our meal to the very end with genuine happiness. I’m truly grateful and can’t wait to come back again.

5 Star Rating I came to get my birthday dessert! It was so delicious. And it was Tuesday so we were happy to hear. It was half-price bottles of wine, great deal! Then we waited until 9 PM for late night happy hour and got a noodle salad with ahi tuna and two lettuce wraps.

5 Star Rating I took my daughter and niece to celebrate my niece graduating! Great experience! Food and service were exceptional. Our waiter Adam was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of it. The manager Maddie, came over to great us and later checked on our meals and experience. She was very friendly and made sure we were being taken care of. There was a live DJ playing all the greats, from Janet J, Taylor S, to Kendrick L and Tyla. Definitely recommend for any occasion! T

4 Star Rating Good experience there overall, slightly slow on the service but the food was tasty and the staff was nice. Good for brekkie, brunch or lunch. The atmosphere is really nice, either get inside for the aircon or a hot day or outside to get a beautiful patio like setting.

5 Star Rating We had such a great experience at Earls last night, thanks to our server Andrea. She was super friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome the whole time. We were there celebrating a birthday, and she surprised us with a dessert on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night extra special. Andrea checked in just the right amount, gave great recommendations, and had such a warm personality that really stood out. It’s not often you get service that feels this genuine. She honestly made our night, and we’ll definitely be asking for her the next time we come back.
