Haven't been here for the longest time! And, no wonder they are still in business in this competitive food scene in Vancouver! Food was excellent, service was too notch. The chef really know how to cook their seafood! The portion is reasonable, and I was full after appetizer and entree! Too stuffed for dessert! But, happy stuffed!! I love how the artic char I had was perfectly cooked with crispy skin! I would return again for their really tasty Westcoast cuisine!! Also, their zero proof cocktail was super yummy!

Great presentation of the food, amazing service by the staff and God atmosphere. The food quality was not all there for the price you pay. Lack a few flavors and a few dishes not all delicious. Great experience worth to try at least once

Had a really great dinner at Blue Water Cafe. We started with the Songbird and Smoke Show cocktails. Both were great, but the Smoke Show was definitely my favorite. The mezcal gave it an amazing smoky flavor. For appetizers, we had the sockeye salmon sushi roll and the dynamite roll. The dynamite roll was good, but the sockeye salmon roll was the standout. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and there was a lot more salmon than rice compared to most sushi rolls, so every bite was packed with flavor. The complimentary bread service was also delicious. It came with two dipping sauces, and the carrot and lentil one was my favorite. For dinner, we ordered the braised short rib and the flat iron steak. Both were really good. The only thing I’d mention is that the sauce on the short rib was a little strong for my taste, but it was still a great dish. We also got mashed potatoes and mushrooms on the side, and both were super tasty. For dessert, we shared the warm chocolate cake with ice cream, which was the perfect way to end the meal. The vibe was great, lots of people-watching, and the service was spot on. Our server was attentive without hovering and checked in just the right amount. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and I’d definitely go back.

Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!

Visited from Toronto. This is an exceptional restaurant for very fresh seafood dishes. It is on the higher end for prices but you are getting an elevated dining experience. I tried this tartare appetizer which was very flavourful, as well as the scallops main dish which was cooked to perfection. My waiter Chris, was at a new level of customer service on how he treated me and presented my food options and meals. The restaurant it self is very beautiful, overall great dining experience in Vancouver!

The ravioli is surprisingly good. It's nice you can have it as an appetizer. It's almost as good as provance; but for the price it's decent. The fried chicken is ok, the mushrooms below it is good. Charcoal chicken is ok as well. The London fog creme brulee is decent.

This is one of the best places in Vancouver and specifically Yaletown if you happen to be in downtown then I would definitely recommend to try their green goddess salad with additional chicken … I just love this place… wonderful and highly recommended.

One of my favorite places in Vancouver, especially in Yaletown! If you’re in downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend stopping by and trying their Green Goddess Salad with some extra chicken. Everything here is so fresh, delicious, and satisfying. I absolutely love this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to eat!

I had an incredible experience at Cactus Club yesterday. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The host was very warm, welcoming, and polite, making us feel valued right away. A special thank you to Maya, our server, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and genuinely made our dining experience memorable. I would also like to recognize Steph, the manager, for her outstanding hospitality and leadership. She took the time to check in and made sure everything was running smoothly, which truly reflected the high standard of service at the restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and customer service were all outstanding. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning and highly recommend Cactus Club to anyone looking for exceptional dining and service.

I know it's weird to leave a review for a fast food place. But hear me out. I come here after work when I'm tired and hungry and need to get something quick to take home. Every single staff member here has been nothing but sweet and helpful. And always made my sandwich perfect. They make sure everything is done correctly. Even at odd hours. Thank you ❤️

Usually excellent when this one guy is there. Makes it with care and does everything you would expect at a subway. Then went there today. Placed order online had to use app because it was the only way I could use the coupon, but I was physically in the Subway store. Two ladies were there and were more interested in talking among themselves in their own language. Not much attention to the customer. It was creepy and rude. Then one insisted that I sit down while they make my sandwich. Why do I have to sit down while you make it? I wanted to oversee it. I wasn’t sure if I entered everything correctly online and I was in the store anyway. Why would you want me to insist I sit down? It was creepy. And they knew I was entering my order online while I was in the store. Maybe they have some personal issue with taking verbal instructions? Well, then, why do you work at a subway? I asked her for extra lettuce. She snapped at me and said she’s already done that. She was so sloppy the way she put together a sandwich. I have no idea why. Just placing my order. Never spoke to them. Never seen them before. Never had this problem before went into Subway hundreds of times over the past 25 years. Hope the manager reads this review. Why did you hire those two ladies? I don’t want to go there again if they’re working there. You just lost my business.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Brix & Mortar. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as it looked. The scallops were perfectly seared, fresh, and incredibly flavorful. The ceviche was refreshing and well-balanced, and the steak was cooked exactly as requested—tender, juicy, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The restaurant has a warm, elegant atmosphere that’s perfect for a special dinner or a relaxing night out. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Our server, Jacob, was incredibly friendly and made great wine pairing recommendations. We enjoyed the crispy chicken appetizer, and while both the steak and turkey breast were delicious, the turkey was our favorite. The crème brûlée was a perfect dessert, and the complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary was such a thoughtful touch. Great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Went to Brix & Mortar in Yaletown and had such a nice evening. I ordered the salmon and my friend got the pork steak — his portion was seriously big, super generous. The salmon was really well cooked, fresh, and flavorful without being heavy. We also had a salad and it was actually really good, fresh and nicely balanced. The atmosphere is one of the best parts — very cozy, warm, and a bit romantic. There was a wedding happening inside while we were there, which made the whole place feel lively and kind of special, but still comfortable. Overall everything felt well done — food, portions, and vibe. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dinner or even a special occasion.

We visited Bricks & Mortar last night and had a great overall experience. Aria took wonderful care of us—attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel easy and enjoyable. The appetizers didn’t quite meet our expectations but except Pork belly and scallops, but the main dishes absolutely made up for it—delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Broccoli Caesar salad, Pork T Bone and roasted chicken were outstanding! All in all, a lovely night with great service. We’ll definitely be back, especially for the mains! Oh and this place is gorgeous.

Where do you even begin? We... The 3D's... were in Vancouver for GnFnR the following night. We parked a couple of blocks down and stumbled across this restaurant. Great atmosphere, Lauren out server was second to none. She spent far more time with us than I would have expected, especially given our jovial nature. You have to see the video, it's not long I promise but what occurred blew my mind. We split the 18 ounce waygu steak, 14 ounce pork t bone and 8 ounce halibut. A few appies to start and some creme brule to finish. I actually complaining about how the top wasn't hard enough and I sent it back. I said I didn't really want to send it back but it didn't pass the knock on the door test. So they took it back and then they brought a new one out for me or the same one I don't know. I tapped it again and it still wasn't quite where I wanted it to be but I was just like whatever good enough thanks for trying. I grabbed a spoonful and put it in my mouth and the edge of that caramel cut right into my gum and it hurt. I guess it did pass the knock on the door test, even the next morning I could feel it. I think we had four appetizers the three main courses and three desserts and it was 450 bucks we also had four glasses of wine and an apple which I asked Lauren if she could recommend one for me and I can't remember what the name of it was right now 5 days later but all I can remember was when I was drinking it I was like this tastes like solvent and I smiled and drank it anyway.

First of all, I’d like to start with the positives about this warm and welcoming restaurant. I really loved the atmosphere it felt cozy, inviting, and comfortable. The staff were kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our visit. I’ve eaten Lebanese food many times over the years, so I’m quite familiar with the flavors and traditional taste of Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine. We ordered the baba ghanoush as an appetizer. It wasn’t bad, but I honestly don’t think it was fresh. I completely understand that many restaurants prepare certain dishes ahead of time, but this one clearly didn’t taste freshly made. The chicken was unfortunately quite bland, and I also didn’t enjoy the rice. In my opinion, it could definitely be improved. I hope the owners take this feedback into consideration, as the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. With a few improvements to the food, it could be an even better dining experience. With all due respect.

I came for dinner with a friend. Together we ordered a halloumi salad, a grilled mezze sampler, and a cup of sahlab. The halloumi tasted superb! The lamb in the grilled mezze sampler was seasoned and processed very well; it was tender and rich in flavour. Najib’s special (crispy cauliflower) was a highlight as well. I especially enjoyed the flatbread with a variety of sauces, with accompanied the mezze sampler. The ambience of the restaurant was great, and service was impeccable too. I would recommend coming with friends so you could sample different dishes👍

Reservation was easy peasy. Food was a delight. Ordered tiger prawns, red lentil soup, halloomi salad, pomegranate hummus, flat bread and the cauliflower dish. Finished with the chocolate cheesecake and they treated us to some delicious baklava. Chris served us and was lovely. I had the sabha rose milk and my parents enjoyed the ginger beer.

Came for a birthday dinner and it was great! So many great flavours, dishes perfect for sharing and great deals on wine. Be sure to get a reservation because this location is small. Great service as well, they even gave me some baklava to go, with a candle, a nice special little touche for my birthday.

Came here for my birthday and did not leave disappointed! ❤️ Love everything about Minami— food, service, & atmosphere was incredible! All the dishes here were amazing, especially the salmon aburi sushi. So fresh & flavourful. Also loved the Chirashi Tart— it was incredibly filling and reminded me of a sushi cake! 🍣 I also enjoyed the cozy ambience! Great for date nights or family/friend hangouts. Highly recommend going during happy hour 3-5PM for great deals. Our server Zoe was wonderful— super attentive & kind!! 😊 She made the experience that much more amazing.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Minami. The Aburi Oshi Sushi was definitely the highlight — especially the salmon and ebi, both were excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seared. The beef dish was just okay and didn’t stand out compared to the sushi. Overall, a great place for Aburi sushi in Vancouver, and I’d definitely come back for the sushi!

Came here a while back for our last dinner finishing up our Canada trip and found our dining experience to be lovely. I initially tried to get us a table at Miku, but some locals recommended Minami as a good alternative. We started off with the Jidori chicken foie gras gyozas for entre. For our first round of cocktails we ordered the Okinawa bloom & off script daiquiri. For mains we ordered the: signature sushi selection and then the bluefin redwave roll / champagne roll 4/4 plate. For our second round of drinks we ordered the: toki-o sour, and the non alcoholic: passion tea. Lastly, for dessert we ordered their: green tea opera and the earl grey strawberry panna cotta. The gyozas for entre were lovely and rich in flavour. The signature sushi was of beautiful- fresh quality. Some of the signature pieces itself had such a unique flavour, it was something that I haven't encountered yet in sushi restaurants. We were able to order 2 different sushi's per 4 pieces after the waitress saw us contemplating what to order next. The cocktails were not at all what we expected of them in a good way. They are well balanced, not too sweet and something unique to this restaurant. The green tea dessert was something I had to try and was recommended to me by several people. And this dish was absolutely lovely. I am a tea lover but not necessarily a fan of chocolate, however- the combination of all the flavours really matched each other. The panna cotta looked beautiful and was well balanced too, definitely a lot sweeter than the green tea dessert. Our waitress was extremely hospitable, kind and quick in service. She gave good recommendations and accommodated us in anything we wanted. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and very spaciously set up. They have their staff welcome you- similarly as you would enter a restaurant in Japan. Which really adds a uniqueness to the restaurant since it is obviously not in Japan. Our experience from beginning to end was lovely and we would recommend dining here.

Minami is one of my favourite spots for contemporary Japanese cuisine. They offer plenty of excellent cooked dishes, making it a great option even for those who aren't into raw seafood. The must-orders for me are the Aburi Salmon Oshi (still my favourite), the Aburi Chicken Karaage, and the Ebi Fritters. Their cocktails and mocktails are also fantastic and pair really well with the food. The sashimi, sushi rolls, and Aburi Iwate A5 Wagyu Steak are all solid, though I wouldn't say they're particularly unique compared to other Japanese restaurants. That said, the overall quality and consistency of the menu make it a place I always enjoy coming back to. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. Parking in the lot out front is usually difficult to find, so I'd recommend looking for street parking nearby. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, Minami is a spot that's well worth a visit.

The dishes were well-prepared, though the portions were small. Having traveled to Japan, we noticed the differences, but this place is definitely worth a visit. It was a bit too noisy; people at nearby tables tended to raise their voices to be heard. The staff was friendly and efficient. There was a delay in serving two of our dishes, and they offered us a discount on the total bill. Kudos to them—they really know how to value their customers.

Rodney’s Oyster House is an oyster bar located in the Yaletown area, and the location itself already sets a rather “premium” and slightly upscale tone for the place. We visited during Happy Hour: the oysters were fresh and tasty, but in my opinion the price is still quite high even with the discount, especially considering their size. The atmosphere inside is very lively and loud, which creates a great sense of a real, energetic restaurant where people actually talk to each other instead of sitting on their phones. The mussel dish, unfortunately, was overly salty. Overall, it’s an interesting and atmospheric place, but I’m deducting one point due to the price-to-quality ratio.

Overall the experience was enjoyable! The oysters were fresh and the fries were amazing. We came here for a quick appetizer before heading off. The service was good, a bit passive but that may go along with the vibe they are trying to create. I would come back for the fries and a few oysters in the future.

We came to dine at Provence Marinaside for a friend’s birthday and it did not disappoint. We had reservations on a busy Saturday night and got seated on the patio right away. It was a tad bit chilly but they were very accommodating and turned on the fire place for us. We started with oysters and the crab and prawn cocktail and it was very fresh. For our mains we got the prawn and scallop spaghettini, crab and lobster bamboo rice, seafood linguini and wild mushroom ravioli. The portion size was perfect and the seafood was generous! The star for me was the wild mushroom ravioli - it was very rich and flavourful. We had lots of sauce leftover so we ordered the baguette and were so glad we did - hot and crusty with a soft middle it was delicious! We got the featured dessert and tarte au citron. The lemon tarte blew us away, it was the perfect balance of lemon tartness and sweetness. The service provided by Akiho was top notch. She was very attentive, friendly and funny! Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend to visit for a special occasion and lovely view. We would love to return to try their happy hour!

Provence has always been one of my favourite lunch/ brunch spots in Vancouver. I've been coming here some 15 yrs or so. Provence never dissapoints. The food is delicious; and fresh seafood which is very important to me. I had the shrimp cakes and the prawn / scallop salad. The heirloom tomatoes were a nice touch. While both of my dishes were light I shared my shrimp cakes with my partner. He had the escargot and half of my shrimp cakes. For drinks I had an aperole spritz and my love biscuit had a beer. Lovely light lunch on the patio. I prefer to dine inside but my partner chose a table outside. Which was fine but its right beside the road. But anyway, no big deal. I'll always come back because Provence food is wonderful. Service too.

Superb dinner at Provence Marinaside. We decided to sit on the patio as opposed to the dining room as it was a pleasant evening. Had a view of the marina and promenade. All the chairs had blankets available which was a nice touch when it cooled off in the evening. Started the dinner with an appetizer of calamari which was lightly breaded and tender. For the main we selected the halibut as our server recommended it as it was fresh and in season. Glad we did as it was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. To top off the meal I had the lemon tart which I highly suggest with an americano. Service was phenomenal and we had a great chat. Will definitely return when back in Vancouver!

🫴THIS🫲 restaurant had THE MOST happy breakfast experience that I have ever had, over MANY years and breakfast/brunch establishments✅️‼️" Happy" is something you don't really even look for! MOST of all, the food was EXCELLENT, the atmosphere is just so bright, and pleasant❇️❇️. The servers-like ours, Pauline, were helpful and so nicely attentive. Some servers were going around with coffee to refill empty cups-how often do you get ALL of this elsewhere⁉️ The place is clean, the menu prices are MORE than great, and the two women front door Hostesses were just SO pleasant, and take you right to your seat- indoors or out. TOP NOTCH💯. The outdoor view, the whole breakfast, the casual atmosphere, the chatting, OR quieter outdoors, the musician singing outside, was a touch of elegance-PLEASE try here -you will NOT be disappointed.🥰 (I almost am afraid that I will not be able to get seating there- after reviewing this restaurant!!😅)

I went for Fine Dining in early February 2026 with my friends for Dine Out Vancouver and thoroughly enjoyed the food & service. I am limited to Seafood and Vegetarian options only when I go out to eat. For the appy, I had their crab and shrimp cakes - tasty with a lovely Mocktail! For the main dish, I had their Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and this was my first time to have seafood with this type of dish, which was wild caught prawns. The combination was terrific and the raviolis were soooo plump with filling. Then I enjoyed my dessert with their fresh lattè 💜. Overall, it was a great night!

Had a lovely Sunday brunch at Earls today! The shakshuka was absolutely delicious, the salad was fresh and filling, and the sandwich was juicy and flavourful. A special thank you to Kelly for her wonderful service and lovely energy at our table. She gave great recommendations, was very attentive, and made sure to carefully consider all allergies. She truly made our time there extra enjoyable. Special thanks to Sophie as well, they were both there whenever we needed anything and even provided paper and a pen so I could enjoy a little creative writing moment during brunch. We needed a place to eat while waiting for our hotel room to be ready since we arrived early after a flight in from the states. Also, it had been 8+ hours since that Chick-fil-A biscuit at the airport and the salty snacks on the plane were not what we needed. We asked several people for recommendations and "Earls" was mentioned several times. So we took a nice downhill walk and were seated immediately without a wait. We chose the indoor option but there was outside seating available. We got there in the midst of a busy lunch time with several large parties already seated and being served. The environment was hopping and lively, but not overbearingly loud at all. Great conversation level and hockey on across a wall of tvs...it is Canada so I would assume that's a popular sport here. Our server was Sophie and she was already serving multiple large parties/tables but she greeted my wife and me with a friendly, conversational, and attentive demeanor that never wavered even while taking care of all of the guests she had. She was great! We settled on Truffle Fries to start and it was a great way to finally get some food going after the previously mentioned, near-forgotten chicken biscuit. We both had the Korean Beef Bibimbap and my wife was the smart one who tasted the Kimchi to check for any heat...I just mixed mine in and went for it...I now know that you can both eat & look like you are working out at the same time. It was very good but mercy it had a bit of 🔥...but it was a great dish...and I actually may have lost weight while eating it... that's a win-win... Finally, we were waiting on the check, and up walks Sophie with a sampling of three of their desserts. She had noted that this was our first visit to Vancouver as well as our 35th anniversary trip and wanted to add a special touch to our visit. The desserts were wonderful, but the extra, not requested/required sweetness at the end was such a pleasant suprise. My wife is a baker so having someone else bring her baked goods/treats...and especially delicious ones...was so thoughtful. So thank you Earls...and thank you Sophie...and as I told your bosses as we left...you were the best! Thank you for making our first non-airport meal of this trip so special! All the best! Oh, that downhill walk to the restaurant....was uphill on the way back...so we did get some needed exercise after all that great food!
