Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!

Great presentation of the food, amazing service by the staff and God atmosphere. The food quality was not all there for the price you pay. Lack a few flavors and a few dishes not all delicious. Great experience worth to try at least once

We celebrated a birthday at Blu Water Cafe on Boxing Day and had a fantastic experience. We focused on the raw and sushi bar, ordering oysters, trout and tuna tartare, hamachi, and several rolls – all were excellent.
The flavors were fresh, bright, and clean, exactly what you want from quality seafood. Every dish was beautifully executed and showcased the ingredients perfectly. The cocktails were equally impressive and paired wonderfully with our meal.
The menu is extensive with so much we didn’t get to try, which just means we’ll have to return. We finished with the lava cake for dessert, and the restaurant made our birthday celebration feel special with thoughtful touches.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch seafood in Vancouver. The raw bar alone is worth the visit.

Wowowowow, what a perfect restaurant. Every bite was immaculate. Wine was always topped up. Water always topped up. Beautiful room! Excellent service, our waiter Leo was so incredible. The martinis were divine. I want to scream it from the hilltops, Blue Water is BRILLIANT. I would choose this restaurant for any and all special occasion that you have coming up. REALLY great for gluten allergies as well, so awesome.

Dined at Blue Water Cafe two nights ago and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding — everything we ordered was delicious, including the tuna sashimi, Bluefin negitoro, crab nigiri, sablefish, flat iron steak, and desserts (the chocolate cake and cheesecake were fantastic). Cocktails were also excellent, especially the Negroni and Dutch Mule.
Service was truly amazing: attentive, professional, and perfectly paced without ever feeling rushed. The ambiance is upscale yet comfortable, making it a great spot for a special evening or business dinner.
Consistently one of Vancouver’s best seafood restaurants — highly recommended, and I’d happily return.

Amazing food and atmosphere! I came in with some friends earlier today and had a wonderful experience. We were kindly greeted and walked to our table by Sofia.
The service is always the best here, expo Matis was so kind to my table and gave us some great food recommendations. The avocado kale salad has been my go to for years now, but he recommended the crispy tofu bowl so I went with that. IT WAS PHENOMENAL!! The service is always the best here and the food never misses.

Cactus Club Cafe is honestly never disappointing. The food is consistently great always fresh, well-seasoned, and exactly what you’re expecting. Service is quick, friendly, and on point without feeling rushed or fake.
Everything runs smoothly every time I go, which makes it such an easy, reliable choice whether you’re grabbing a casual meal or going out with friends. The vibe is nice, the staff are welcoming, and you’re never left waiting too long. Solid experience all around, every single time.

Great place to hang out with friends, specially their outdoor seating in their patio! Inside the music was too loud but still a nice place to hang out! Their food was pretty good and the drinks we ordered were pretty good, too! I liked their sushi options and their fries was good, too!

Usually excellent when this one guy is there. Makes it with care and does everything you would expect at a subway. Then went there today. Placed order online had to use app because it was the only way I could use the coupon, but I was physically in the Subway store. Two ladies were there and were more interested in talking among themselves in their own language. Not much attention to the customer. It was creepy and rude. Then one insisted that I sit down while they make my sandwich. Why do I have to sit down while you make it? I wanted to oversee it. I wasn’t sure if I entered everything correctly online and I was in the store anyway. Why would you want me to insist I sit down? It was creepy. And they knew I was entering my order online while I was in the store. Maybe they have some personal issue with taking verbal instructions? Well, then, why do you work at a subway? I asked her for extra lettuce. She snapped at me and said she’s already done that. She was so sloppy the way she put together a sandwich. I have no idea why. Just placing my order. Never spoke to them. Never seen them before. Never had this problem before went into Subway hundreds of times over the past 25 years. Hope the manager reads this review. Why did you hire those two ladies? I don’t want to go there again if they’re working there. You just lost my business.

We tried the $57 dine-out menu and really enjoyed the feast. We started with the Caesar salad and crab hush puppies, which ere fresh, flavorful, and nicely crispy. The salmon and duck breast were both tender and satisfying. Desserts were good, though a bit too saucy and sweet for our taste. Service was attentive, and we’d come back to try the regular menu! Highly recommended for their romantic atmosphere, good food, attentive service and we got lucky and enjoyed live music performance!

We very much enjoyed our experience here while celebrating our anniversary.
We were greeted with a personally written card for our occasion, which was a lovely touch.
The food was delicious from start to finish. We shared the 24 ounce Prime Ribeye adorned with perfectly cooked grilled vegetables and potatoes. Everything was super flavourful and aesthetically pleasing.
We were seated on the semi-enclosed heated patio, which was beautifully set with candles and blankets if we were to feel a chill.
The service staff were friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable about their food and beverage products. We felt truly pampered.
To top things off, a gorgeous and delectable dessert plate helped to finish our experience on a sweet note!!
Thanks to all who contributed to making our anniversary dinner so special.

There aren’t a ton of vegan options, but what they do have is pretty tasty. Standard, sure, but still good. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are awesome. Sweet Happy Hour deals, and the covered patio is a highlight for me. Great for dates or a chill spot to grab drinks and appies with a friend.

The waitress is super nice. She recommended a Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir, which is really, really good, and the food is very nice. The chicken liver parfait is good, and the Pork T-bone is exceptional!! I have never tried a pork chop with that level of juiciness, tenderness, and flavor. Wonderful dining experience.

I went here with my friends to try Lebanese food, and the experience did not disappoint! The service was wonderful and the waitress was so friendly, giving us personal recommendations and dipping sauces to try. The lamb skewers were delicious, especially with the potatoes! They were tender and great paired with the different sauces. The cauliflower was also flavourful with nice dips, and the hummus and pita bread were good as well. I tried a lot of new flavours, all presented beautifully and served on a pleasant winter day.

My wife found Nubas online and we thought we would give it a try. It was one of the best restaurants we have eaten at lately. The hummus was smooth and super flavorful with the pomegranate seeds a great addition. The bread was warm and I couldn’t stop eating it. The salad and chicken dish were so full of flavors I had to stop my self from eating it all. I was so full I couldn’t eat any more but the waitress insisted on us sampling some of the dessert. The staff was friendly and very attentive. If you are in town please stop by Nuba and give them a chance you won’t be disappointed.

The food was not bad. The babaganoush was a bit too overly sauced with pomegranate. The cauliflower was a good serving side. The drink was tasty and overall it was a nice night out. Service was alright. Atmosphere is a date night type of place. I think for the cost, the food and service didn't meet expectation.

The sushi they create here is nothing like we have on the east coast of the USA, the tuna melts in your mouth and they have a great deal on their A5 Wagu.
Our server was very attentive and engaging. He answered any questions and always asked how we were liking things.
If I find myself in Vancouver again I will be back.

Today was my first time trying here and the food quality was really good and I love that they are Oceanwise certified because they use sustainably caught ingredients.
My favourite was the salmon oshi, Brussel sprouts, and vanilla caramel ice cream. The staff was also nice to charge my near dying phone for me! Staff was genuinely friendly and it was a great experience.

For authentic Japanese food experience this is not the place; however, for Westernized Japanese food it’s decent. Their customer service is excellent for their willingness to accommodate request. The atmosphere is like an upscale diner though.

I had the most incredible dining experience here. The tasting menu is truly authentic Japanese cuisine — every course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully balanced. From the delicate sashimi to the seasonal hot dishes, each bite highlighted the chef’s skill and respect for ingredients.
The service was warm, attentive, and never rushed, allowing us to enjoy the full progression of flavors at a perfect pace. The atmosphere is intimate yet welcoming, making it ideal for both a special occasion and an evening of discovery.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic Japanese tasting experience that goes far beyond the usual sushi spot.

10/10 food was perfect, like clear the plate good. Just smaller portions than I expected. 3 bite sized scallops for $28.50 (Hokkaido Scallops) amazing presentation and full of diverse flavors though, (Seafood Pasta - Supper) had 1 scallop, 2 prawns, 5 mussels and 5 clams $46.50. Although very delicious, can't say I would pay $46.50 for that again. And we had the happy hour (at 2pm) oysters (14 × $2.95 = $41.30), which were $4.95 regularly the waiter told me. Also had a Low Tide Lager $6.50. Very good immediate and attentive service, the interior was very warm and inviting. After $15 tip, total was $144.59.

Excellent place of your looking for oysters. The seafood selection is a little limited but very high quality.
Service staff is extremely polite and professional. The bar cocktail options can be expanded a little.
The overall experience was exceptional. This isn’t some “buck-a-shuck” oyster house. Definitely recommend.
Raffi Hasserjian - 2 months ago
First and most important, these were the best oysters I've ever had. Typically western oysters are thick and tough and taste was too fishy (in Toronto) but these BC oysters were fantastic. We had both east and west oysters. Both amazing. Fresh, shucked properly and has great hot sauces to pair. The mussels were good too. Service was ok, our server was nice and gave us good info on the menu. As for atmosphere...it was really loud, but it's a pub so, ok I guess. We were on the balcony. I found it extremely hot up there. And we had a little mouse running around underneath our tables. I'm not overly concerned as everything was clean and our food was prepared infront of us by the bar. But it was a bit of a concern when we told the server and another man who came to ask how our food was about it. They both kind of just shrugged it off like it was an ordinary thing that happens. Other than that, I'd still go back for the damn good oysters
EBS - 4 months ago
The oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of sauce options. The clams were outstanding as well. The atmosphere is engaging—you can watch the kitchen team at work throughout your meal, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Fei Liu - 2 months ago
As usual the oysters were exceptional. Our bar tender shucked them perfectly and suggested some nice additions. We had three dozen and loved them all. One nice change is the low tide (happy hour) oysters were excellent rather than the small and sparse selections from previous visits. Unfortunately the “seacuterie” smoked fish plate was overpriced ($42) and underwhelming. The tiny spoon of halibut ceviche was very fresh and tasty but barely enough for two small bites. The few Lesley Stowe crackers were a nice inclusion but overshadowed by the (too many) Breton crackers—hardly a good choice for such an expensive plate.

Provence is our regular lunch and brunch place. They offer a Vegan Herbed Green Chickpea Cakes with roasted vegetables, frisée and ratatouille sauce. I remember enjoying it but also my skin reacting to it afterwards which puzzled me. Typically, I order the roasted vegetables because they do that much better than what I make at home. We've eaten at Provence countless times and sometimes with our friends. Only once were we lucky enough to enjoy the corner round booth – that has to be the best table in there. Before I developed intolerance to tomatoes and garlic, I used to enjoy their seafood spaghetti. Apart from the chickpea cakes and grilled vegetables, there are not many options for vegans. But the dining room gets a lot of lights from windows on two sides, it is a pleasant environment to enjoy lunch.

Our experience was truly exceptional from the very first moment. (2 Adults 3 Kids)
The welcome was friendly and warm, especially toward the children. From the start, we felt comfortable , as if we were walking into a place that was genuinely happy to have us there. The atmosphere is ideal for families; children feel welcomed and parents can actually relax and enjoy their time.
The food was wonderful. I personally ordered the mushroom and cheese omelette, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and thoughtfully prepared down to the smallest detail. And what impressed us even more? Six dishes arrived at our table unexpectedly fast, without compromising quality in the slightest.
The service was impressively quick, professional, and genuinely kind. The servers were polite, smiling, and attentive throughout.
A special mention goes to Sinead, our waitress. She was exceptionally polite, outstanding at her job, attentive, efficient, and naturally gracious. Her professionalism and warm demeanor truly elevated our overall experience.
The location is simply beautiful, right by the water, offering a sense of calm and natural charm. After your meal, if the weather allows, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing walk, ending your outing on the best possible note.
I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Great place with great vibes. The service was great and the location easy to get to. We went for happy hour and got some great things for a very reasonable price. My favorite was the seafood platter with a great array of very tasty seafood. If I had to change one thing is it have more variety of cocktails on the happy hour menu. 60% of them were gin and vodka which I don't really like. A tequila or rum cocktail would do well. Wil definitely be back!

Food was absolutely delicious and it came in a timely manner.
Our waitress was great and was able to handle the party of 12 that we had there.
However, we did note that one of the staff members (not the waitress) who was bringing the food was a bit rude and would push away the additional place on our table and would very roughly place our plates on the table.
Overall, it’s a great restaurant on the recommend their delicious food and their caramel crème.

Special thanks to Sophie as well, they were both there whenever we needed anything and even provided paper and a pen so I could enjoy a little creative writing moment during brunch. Such thoughtful service!

Our server Mishayla was the best! So sweet and friendly and accommodating! The appis were decent, but all our mains were cold unfortunately, my guess is coz they were really busy. I had the steak and tortellini and it was overall rather bland, and my steak was chewy. The drinks and dessert were great though.

Last night we celebrated my bestie’s birthday in a new winter wonderland patio at Earls Yaletown, and honestly.. it felt like a dream🥹❄️✨✨ The vibes were so cozyyy, but what made the night truly unforgettable are our cutest server Kelly and the coolest manager Dan. 🥰🥰 Kelly made us feel so welcomed and special as you can see from smile on my face hehe, and her energy set the tone for such a happy celebration. PS she is also a cool photographer ;)
And then there was THE manager, Dan, definition of caring and warm hospitality. He checked on us so kindly and you could tell he genuinely cared. It wasn’t just service, it was hosted with pure heart ♥️
Thank you Kelly and Dan for making my friend’s birthday night so special 💛

I had an amazing experience at the Winter Wonder Lounge! 🤩 The atmosphere was ultimately my favourite thing as my friends and I wanted some Christmas vibes for our holiday dinner and this was the perfect spot. 🎅🏼 The vibes were absolutely magical! ✨ They had some fun holiday drinks that tasted great and the service was outstanding. 😍☕️
Connor was our waiter and he did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of my friends and I, bringing in that holiday cheer. 😊 He is well-spoken and knew how to communicate with his tables. Connor was very polite and understood how to keep our moods festive and bright!🎄He even went out of his way to help my friend locate her earring that had dropped on the floor. Connor had also made some great recommendations that did not disappoint. Although we stayed a while he did not rush us out to leave, he was super sweet and patient knowing he had his next reservation waiting for us to leave.☺️
I would definitely go here again for the vibes and service! 10/10 🥰 Special thanks to Connor for making it a memorable night!

Husband and I celebrated his birthday with brunch at Earls.
We started with the warm spinach and 3 cheese dip. Generous portion and delicious - I would return just for that!
We tried a couple of the zero proof mocktails, margarita and mango coconut cooler.
The margarita was good, the cooler was excellent.
I had the avocados benny with added bacon, husband had the chorizo hash.
He said his hash was one of the best he has had, balanced and flavourful. We both chose our eggs medium and they were a perfect medium cook.
The Benny is served with a nice side salad and amazing potatoes. Excellent hollandaise. The whole dish was perfect.
We shared an order of the almond berry pancake and oh lort that’s dangerously delicious.
I’m glad we split it!
Our servers were Liam and Crystal. 10/10 service.
It’s a lovely space, comfortable seating, music was nice and at a nice level. The patio is decorated beautifully, will try the outside next time!
