The Amazing Brentwood

The interior of the mall is very new and clean, and I can say that this is one of the models of TOD mode operation in North America. You can get off the Sky Train and go directly through the overpass to the square of the mall. You don't need to cross the road or take the stairs. Although there are not many interesting shops in the mall, there are some good restaurants, and their food courts are very good. But if you want to drive here, please consider carefully and be sure to check your bank card information. The PayBy Phone application does not support ApplePay here. You need to enter your bank information again by yourself, which is very annoying. If you can't pay, it will be a big trouble. This is one of the few shopping malls I have seen in the Greater Vancouver area that charge parking fees for parking. The mall claims to have free parking spaces for three hours, but the discount is limited to the ground parking lot, and it is almost always full. It costs you 9CAD to park underground for three hours, although these parking spaces seem to have a lot of empty spaces. If I had come by public transportation that day, I would have given it a 4-star rating, but unfortunately, I drove here that day, and PayBy Phone has been rejecting my bank card, which almost forced me to move the car. The parking experience was terrible, so I'm sorry, I can only give 3 stars at most.

This mall has leveled up big time!!! I have witnessed the growth of this mall from an almost empty mall to where it is now, it's amazing! The atmosphere is very festive and the mall has been very busy since the renovation. The food court is topnotch! However, we have to pay for parking now.

This mall is odd in terms of layout and architecture. I agree with other reviewers that it is not particularly user friendly and confusing. There seems to be more lobbies than shops. From the street, the mall appears to be this massive cohesive unit that could compare to Metrotown, and the fact that it is pay parking underground leads one to believe they must be in for a treat compared to the other local malls where parking is totally free, but that is not the case. Recommend go look for the free parking to visit the place, it is certainly not worth paying for parking here. This place might be a hit for those who want to walk and explore, and do a lot of stairs. I can see the design being more attractive in the summer months when it’s warm and dry outside, but the layout (essentially a layered strip mall) was probably not the best choice for the constant rain of Vancouver.

The Amazing Brentwood is a very popular mall, and in my experience, it really does have almost everything you could want in one place. There is a wide range of fashion stores, a big and diverse food court, a movie theatre, play areas for kids, arcade-style entertainment, and plenty of cafés and restaurant chains nearby, so it is easy to spend a good amount of time here without getting bored. What stands out most to me is the outdoor area. It is spacious, open, and thoughtfully designed, with lots of seating, water features that make the space feel more lively, and a nice overall atmosphere for relaxing, meeting friends, or just taking a break from shopping. It also helps that the mall is very close to public transit, which makes visiting even more convenient. Honestly, it is hard to complain when a place manages to be this practical and this enjoyable at the same time. A great mall so far, and definitely one of the more fun shopping spots around.

Big thumbs up for Brentwood Mall! The Rec Room deal ($40 for 3 hours of play) is amazing. There is no limit on the number of people, just a 30-second wait between each game. Four kids had so much fun and couldn’t stop playing! It’s much better than before when we worried about spending too much money. The food court is very clean and beautiful, with many food choices. Most importantly, it feels comfortable — a great place to relax or even discuss projects with friends or teammates.
