Metropolis at Metrotown proudly holds the title as the largest shopping mall in British Columbia and the second largest in Canada. Dating back to 1986, this vibrant shopping center, formerly known as Metrotown Centre, hosts an impressive collection of 340 stores and services, catering to a diverse range of tastes and needs.

Convenient Location and Transit Hub

One of the key factors contributing to Metropolis at Metrotown's popularity is its exceptional accessibility. Positioned adjacent to the Metrotown SkyTrain Station on the Expo Line, the mall offers unparalleled convenience for public transportation users. Additionally, the Metrotown Transit Exchange, one of Burnaby's largest bus loops, further enhances connectivity, making it a central hub for the surrounding community.

A Retail Powerhouse

Within the expansive walls of Metropolis at Metrotown, shoppers can discover an impressive array of major retailers. Anchor stores such as Hudson's Bay, Winners, HomeSense, Old Navy, H&M, Forever 21, and Indigo offer a wide selection of clothing, home goods, and books. For grocery needs, Real Canadian Superstore and T&T Supermarket provide a diverse range of products. Entertainment options abound with a Famous Players SilverCity movie theatre and a variety of dining choices in the mall's expansive food court, which is the largest in Western Canada.

Beyond Metropolis: Expanding the Shopping Experience

The shopping adventure extends beyond Metropolis at Metrotown. Adjacent to the mall lies Station Square, featuring an additional selection of stores and services. Crystal Mall, an Asian-themed mall with over 200 unique shops, adds further variety and cultural richness to the area. With Station Square and Crystal Mall combined, the entire district transforms into a mega shopping destination, offering a staggering total of over 600 stores.

If there still aren't enough great reasons for you to visit Metrotown, you can take a break from all the shopping and enjoy one of several movies being featured at the Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis.

A Complete Experience

Metropolis at Metrotown offers more than just shopping; it provides a complete experience for visitors. Metropolis at Metrotown Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 Star Rating

5 Star Rating It's still a good mall for enjoying shopping and food there. The location is perfect from anywhere of Greater Vancouver. There are lots of free parking too. This is a one stop shopping that you can get most of anything that you want. They always have some interesting decorations year round. But they may need to upgrade or pay more attention of their washrooms, especially the washrooms closed to T & T Supermarket.

4 Star Rating Great place to go shopping. The mall has 330 stores to choose from branded to medium retail players including 3 huge supermarkets (Canadian Superstore, Walmart, T&T Supermarket) and Hudson’s Bay. The food court is at the Upper Level. There are also several restaurants inside the mall. Seating areas are distributed within the mall for customers' comfort. Washrooms are clean and well-maintained. The Mall Directory is at the mall’s various entrances. The challenge that exists in the directions of the signage is confusing. Skytrain and bus station are at Bay 10 for the commuting shopper's convenience. The underground parking area is spacious.

5 Star Rating I love shopping at Metrotown with the variety of stores but parking can be a hassle- especially surface area parking. My favourite lot is near Walmart. Metropolis is clean and has such a wide variety of stores, including Superstore, Indigo, Apple. I liked how the atrium had a big lunar new year display. Lots of sitting areas and nicely laid out. There’s a big food court that keeps expanding as well. There are medical offices located in Metropolis as well on the highest level.
