Metropolis at Metrotown
Canada's second largest shopping mall, Metropolis at Metrotown is conveniently located at Metrotown SkyTrain Station

Metropolis at Metrotown proudly holds the title as the largest shopping mall in British Columbia and the second largest in Canada. Dating back to 1986, this vibrant shopping center, formerly known as Metrotown Centre, hosts an impressive collection of 340 stores and services, catering to a diverse range of tastes and needs.
Convenient Location and Transit Hub
One of the key factors contributing to Metropolis at Metrotown's popularity is its exceptional accessibility. Positioned adjacent to the Metrotown SkyTrain Station on the Expo Line, the mall offers unparalleled convenience for public transportation users. Additionally, the Metrotown Transit Exchange, one of Burnaby's largest bus loops, further enhances connectivity, making it a central hub for the surrounding community.
A Retail Powerhouse
Within the expansive walls of Metropolis at Metrotown, shoppers can discover an impressive array of major retailers. Anchor stores such as Hudson's Bay, Winners, HomeSense, Old Navy, H&M, Forever 21, and Indigo offer a wide selection of clothing, home goods, and books. For grocery needs, Real Canadian Superstore and T&T Supermarket provide a diverse range of products. Entertainment options abound with a Famous Players SilverCity movie theatre and a variety of dining choices in the mall's expansive food court, which is the largest in Western Canada.
Beyond Metropolis: Expanding the Shopping Experience
The shopping adventure extends beyond Metropolis at Metrotown. Adjacent to the mall lies Station Square, featuring an additional selection of stores and services. Crystal Mall, an Asian-themed mall with over 200 unique shops, adds further variety and cultural richness to the area. With Station Square and Crystal Mall combined, the entire district transforms into a mega shopping destination, offering a staggering total of over 600 stores.
If there still aren't enough great reasons for you to visit Metrotown, you can take a break from all the shopping and enjoy one of several movies being featured at the Cineplex Cinemas Metropolis.

During this Christmas season, Metropolis has a special VIP lounge for shoppers who spend $300 or more in one day. If you show your receipts, you can get a red tote bag that will allow you unlimited access. This is how it looks like if you’re interested in checking it out. I love relaxing in the 2 massage chairs, whereas my daughter likes decorating gingerbread men, making a customized hot chocolate, or decorating a chocolate dipped marshmallow. There are also lots of free snacks from T & T like cheese balls and Portuguese egg tarts, plus candy and chocolate cookies. There are many Instagram worthy places for pictures, and they also provide free activity booklets and colouring for kids. Adults can relax and wind down with a free glass of wine. I highly recommend checking it out after doing any major shopping or making a big purchase.

This mall truly gives a vibrant shopping experience. Also a good spot to just chill and wind out despite how busy it gets. That in itself I must agree it is satisfying.
With a diverse range of stores, from high-end boutiques to popular retail chains, entertainment spots, and restaurants, me and my wife and I greatly appreciate the pleasant and welcoming atmosphere here.
The staff here are very nice, detail oriented, willing to help, and very professional. Good job on that one, for sure.

We love Metrotown Mall. Having lived in Japan for a number of years, we feel right at home walking around, especially the T&T store and various other Asian eateries. There’s a place that does karaage chicken that’s soooo good.

I am 73 now..74 in June and have lived in North Burnaby since I was 2 years old. Love, love Metrotown. But change is inevitable as more and more concrete high rises are coming and more and more childhood memories of Woodward’s,Eatons and soon the Bay are fading. Metrotown is upgrading so it doesn’t look as new as Brentwood,Park Royal,Richmond Center etc but for me as a grocery shopper, it is absolutely unbeatable to have the 3 giants…Superstore,Walmart and T&T literally 2 minutes walking from each other. You can park your car in 1 spot and take 3 shopping bags with you and come back to the car with the same 3 bags with items from each store. Also well within walking distance to adjacent Station Square anchored by BestBuy. Crossing Central boulevard at the south side of the mall ,you have the Metrotown Expo line of Skytrain. Trust me,once you get to know your bearings…PriceSmart(focusing on Asian groceries) and Crystal Mall is doable too. Ya.. I love Metrotown! Food? Places to eat? Your stomach isn’t big enough to handle what’s available here. Jim from Burnaby

Its absolutely outstanding place to spend all day long and all money in your pocket
So many shops and so much fun in there
Let's start with parking- you definitely must take a picture of place where you parked, otherwise you'll spend half day stalking around hundreds of m2 to find it
See directions to find shop you want
Don't forget to check food court
And enjoy your time
Cheers
