Metropolis at Metrotown Reviews
Rated out of 5![]()
What a good place to go to. First, there was so many parking spaces on P2, even on busy times in holidays. Next, there is a big food court in the upper level which has many stores such as Bubble Waffle Cafe and Tim Hortons. The food court is located near Hudson Bay which closed long ago. Next, there are many shops with unpopular ones such as Lululemon and popular ones such as TnT and Walmart. There are even a bunch of seating and some with water fountains for decoration. One of the best parts is that there is an entire movie theater on the third floor, which I thought was amazing because a movie theater takes up a lot of space. If you are close to this area and need something, you should go to Metrotown because of all the shops and places that normally people have to go to other stores. This place is so big, you may want a map of Metrotown somewhere since last time I went there, I got so lost that I just randomly started walking. Would recommend and 100% come back here. In fact, I would say this is one of the best places I've ever been to and would want to give this place a 6 star review, although that isn't possible.

Metropolis at Metrotown is one of my favorite places to visit, especially when the weather isn’t great. As one of the largest malls in British Columbia, it offers a huge variety of stores and a spacious food court with plenty of dining options to choose from.
What makes this mall stand out is the range of activities and seasonal events throughout the year. From Christmas festivities with Santa photo opportunities to Chinese New Year celebrations featuring dragon dances, there’s always something happening. I’ve even come across fun pop-ups like Gundam events with free trading cards and toys, as well as weekly activities like Zumba.
It’s truly a place for all ages—whether you’re shopping, window browsing, or just spending time with family. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, and the customer service is consistently great. Definitely a go-to spot in Burnaby!

Metropolis at Metrotown is easily the most comprehensive shopping destination in British Columbia, earning a solid 4 stars for its unmatched variety of over 300 stores ranging from high-end fashion to daily essentials like Walmart and T&T. Its direct connection to the Metrotown Skytrain station and massive free parking makes it incredibly convenient for a one-stop-shop experience, while the expansive food court offers a great selection of vegetarian and international options. However, the mall loses a star due to the overwhelming crowds on weekends and a somewhat confusing, maze-like layout that can be stressful to navigate if you're in a hurry. It remains the best choice for sheer selection in the province, though visiting on a weekday morning is highly recommended for a more relaxed experience.

Metropolis at Metrotown is probably one of the best shopping locations in Metro Vancouver. It has pop-up events from time to time. It's the largest mall in the province and third largest in Canada. There's a SkyTrain station near the mall with bus service on the first floor as well. It's a great place to figure out gift ideas because of the amount of shops and services they have totalling over 450.
