Super Amazing place! Why? The building itself is already fascinating with high ceilings and artistic iron pillars with a greenish greyish colour. This place is multifunctional with the cafe in front, then there’s a small library, then you can see an art gallery both on the first floor and second floor. All the staffs are friendly and kindly towards visitors. I even have quite long conversation with one of the curator of one of the exhibition going there for the artists. She’s been very helpful, supportive and positive about what she delivered.

Halle Saint Pierre is one of my favorite hidden gems in Montmartre. This art space, bookstore, and café blend together beautifully inside a former covered market. The exhibitions are always fascinating — bold, emotional, and often focused on outsider or contemporary art. The café upstairs is cozy, with a bohemian charm that feels perfectly at home in this creative corner of Paris. It’s the kind of place where you can spend hours wandering, reading, or just people-watching. A must-visit for art lovers looking for something authentic.

Incredible book store, I wish I bought more from here. A must visit if coming to Montmatre, or stopping by Sacre Cour.

We came to Paris from Canada and visited many museums. This is the only one that charges for disabled people. The exhibition hall is very small and the ticket price is a bit expensive compared to the exhibits. There are many works of special people in it. If you are an art lover, you can come and see it. Otherwise, it is not worth coming here.

A classic French crêperie with a charming atmosphere and an extensive selection of sweet and savory crêpes. The crêpes themselves were delicious! Absolutely recommended for dinner in the beautiful Montmartre neighborhood.

Amazing and cozy little place with very friendly staff! Delicious crepes the best we've had in Paris, we took the Champêtre and Atlantique. They are very careful with celiac disease as they have a page for a description so that they can be even more careful! Totally recommend it!
Joëlle Eid - 3 weeks ago
Amazing galettes and crepes! They are not cheap, but they were the best I had during my trip, so, it was worth it.
I had to wait to get a table since the place was full, but I got a table soon enough (10 min wait).
I would definitely go back again!
Emese Toth - 2 months ago
The Galette Campagnarde is generously topped with bacon, onions, potatoes, cheese and an egg, making for a very filling meal.
The crêperie is small and charmingly decorated.
Anyone dining alone should be aware that you inevitably sit right in the middle of the crowd, just inches away from other guests. Privacy or quiet are foreign concepts when eating out in Paris.

Best in all over the world I've traveled in Europe and so far this is one of the best their crêpe is so different. It's thin it's delicious and it's light and the flavors are amazing. I literally went here twice on my four days in Paris. Please Give it a shot and try both their savory and sweet tastes like heaven

Our reservation was 19:15 on a Tuesday. We waited in line for the restaurant to open. We were ushered in, and seated with all people who sat against the wall having to climb over the table.
The appetizer plate was skimpy, nothing special (see photo). Aperitif was chilled and nice.
The price was $66.00 for 2 people. You can order as a single but you have to pay for 2 people. 2 choices: cheese and a basket of bread pieces or diced meat and potatoes to cook in hot oil.
It was hot and everyone was sweaty.
It was fun for most to drink from bottle nipple but I preceded to remove the ripple and have better access to the wine.
It is very tight seating which was nice to have conversations with the strangers next to us but we could not have any private conversations.
If I was not with my young daughter, I would not have gone to the restaurant.
We had fun regardless. I would not go back.

Really fun experience.
The food is nice and the staff very pleasant. It is small inside but the quirky decor and baby bottles are all a fun touch.
I'm not sure why people are complaining about the confirmation email etc. You book it and then the day before receive an email to confirm. It might go to your junk mail but they need to have a confirmation!

What a memorable experience! I learned about Le Refuge des Fondus from an online travel blog and thought it would be a fun place to visit after an evening Sacre Couer visit. My wife and I arrived to the restaurant just as they were closing to prepare for the 2nd dinner service. The hostess told us we should come back when they re-opened and that she would find us a table if the place wasn’t booked solid with reservations. I can’t believe I forgot to make a reservation! Smh. Fortunately, 15 min after the restaurant reopened and the hostess seated everyone who had reservations, there was still a table for my wife and me. Two other pairs with no reservations also made it in.
My wife and I ordered the cheese fondue option. It was a lot of bread and a lot of cheese! We had it after kir, an appetizer, and a few swigs of wine/beer from a baby bottle. The baby bottles got lots of laughs. Quite the experience. After dinner, we had dessert and another kir, if I’m not mistaken.
I’m so glad my wife and I ate here. It was a real experience, one we’ll never forget.

My fist stop in Paris every single time! Me and my husband have been coming here for our first meal as soon as we arrive in Paris for the last 4 times! And this time I took my mother.
The best vibes, its fun to not take everything so seriously and jump over tables and drink out our baby bottles as an adult. Seriously she loved it and I obviously do too!
The meat fondue is more a meal, comes with potatoes and sauces as well, and the cheese fondue is just a vibe and pairs nicely with the wine they serve. In both cases, its a warm and cozy meal. (The chocolate mousse is also so good)

They really do pack people into this place!
It is a fun idea, climbing over the table, drinking wine out of a baby bottle whilst manning a fondue 🫕
However, due to how packed it is (you can see in the pictures I posted how close people were to us) you literally CANNOT hear anything your dinner date is saying from across the table, especially if you are surrounded by people who have mastered the art of very loud speaking..
At one point the people on either side of us recognised each other and started talking over us, it was insanely rude. So it’s luck of the draw who is in there on the day!
Booking is ESSENTIAL. We booked for 7:15, when the place opened. Somehow our booking was not valid due to an error on the booking site not sending a confirmation email even though the event showed up in our calendar. We were about to find somewhere else to go because the place looked fully packed already but they somehow still had “place” for more people.
You get a fair amount with what is included in the set menu. Starter is a charcuterie with a glass of wine. Mains you have the option of cheese fondue with bread or sauces with steak and potato that you have to cook in a pot on the table. Another drink in a baby bottle is served with this.
There were three options for desert which also came with a shot, I think if some cherry liquor.
To be honest I would expect to get a little more variety than just bread for dipping in the fondue. It was very carb and cheese heavy and really could do with some vegetables.
At the end we got to write on the wall which was fun but we really were in a hurry to leave due to how loud it was.
The waitstaff were extremely friendly and prompt. They deserve some recognition for the chaos they have to deal with!

I had a fantastic meal here. The service was incredibly friendly, and the dishes were delicious. I ordered the bone marrow, which was a generous portion. I also tried the beef cheek, which was equally delightful. There were plenty of drink options available by the glass, and the classical French music playing in the background added to the ambiance. I will definitely come back during my next visit

The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, managing to attend to every busy table with genuine care. The venue itself is beautiful, creating a lovely atmosphere to enjoy the meal.
Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented, but the frogs legs were a standout dish — truly unforgettable. A wonderful spot to experience authentic French cuisine with a personal touch.

The ultimate and most fantastic French experience. The food was incredible. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere perfect. We were unexpectedly treated to live music by a fabulous 3 man band. They played excellent music. We drank, we ate, we danced and we laughed! Bravo! Well done!!!

The oldest restaurant in Montmartre has been revamped by the team who reinvented the Bouillon Pharamond. They've kept all the charm of this classic venue but with a fresh appeal! Excellent traditional French dishes with a modern twist, very friendly staff, a magical vintage decor and fantastic French playlist. They've got a large backroom that's also perfect for larger dinners. Highly recommended!

The food is excellent. But that’s not why I give this place my highest recommendation. The food is excellent at many places in Paris. Excellent food is not enough to have a great restaurant experience. Great service is mandatory. A beautiful space is necessary. This place really delivers on providing a complete experience. The service was warm and welcoming. The space is beautiful. And of course, delicious food. I will be back!

Everything was superb for our anniversary dinner, thank you so much to all of the team members at Petrelle!! Very dish was expertly crafted, beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. I’m sorry I’d forgotten the name of the sommelier, his exuberance for everything truly made the night a time to remember. We will look forward to visit again in our next trip to Paris.

Pétrelle is your go-to for a romantic Parisian dinner. We visited in December ‘24. It is perfect with white tablecloths, candlelight, chandeliers, and tasteful, muted decor. As an added bonus, if you visit during colder months, a wood stove heats the dining room adding a wonderful lush smell to compliment the wonderful food. When my wife was unable to eat something on the tasting menu, they kindly offered a substitute. The service was wonderful, and the food was even better. Each course was excellent, but the showstopper for me was the fillet of Picardy venison with Jerusalem artichokes with hazelnut praline and cocoa jus.
Eric Kirchmann - 9 months ago
We had a wonderful dinner here. Romantic candle lights, warm fireplace, friendly staff, and seasonal food prepared really well. I definitely recommend having dinner here. It will not disappoint!
Daisy Recto - 11 months ago
I’m scared of Pétrelle getting more well-known than they already are. I go here quite regularly, and it has never disappointed. Chef Lucie’s cooking is always thoughtful and scrumptious, and Luca is a wonderful host. The ambiance is cozy and romantic. It’s exactly what you’d imagine Paris dining would and should be like.
I don’t adore the area, but for Restaurant Pétrelle, I gladly go.
My number one favorite restaurant in Paris for sure.

We had an excellent experience here. After making a reservation we got a great table. I ordered a salad and my husband had the eggplant. We are vegetarian so we were excited to get these entrees. The food is delicious and we shared a cheesecake for dessert - possibly the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. The lemon and basil flavors were sublime.

We had breakfast at Le Progrès twice while staying in Paris! The place itself is beautiful and in a brilliant location! Marin was our server both days and he was absolutely brilliant, today was a very busy shift and the place was full! Marin made sure he was taking care of everyone and greeted every single customer with a friendly manner. He was on his own for the most part until the other staff member showed up and he managed the restaurant incredibly. I hope he is recognised for his hard work and dedication to the establishment and also how brilliant his customer service is! Merci Marin! The food is delicious, well cooked and classic French! You must visit! We will always come back to Le Progrès!

Loved the atmosphere: the architecture makes you feel like you are truly in Budapest with the high vaulted ceilings and the candlesticks lit on each table. A cat even meanders around. We did not come across what some people have described as someone not very nice, but the service was very slow, possible they are understaffed. They were nice, the food was good and unique just maybe lacking a little seasoning. Glad to have tried it but will say it is ok the pricier side.

This turned out to be a wonderful dining experience, despite a slightly rocky start. On arrival, the service felt slow and inattentive, which was surprising given the small number of guests present. Thankfully, once our orders were placed, the food and drinks arrived quickly. It was a welcome relief after a long day of touring the city.
I ordered the grilled salmon, which was cooked to perfection: moist, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Even my husband, who rarely enjoys seafood, was impressed enough to say, “Wow.” His schnitzel was equally impressive—crispy, tender, and full of flavour. He enjoyed it so much that he mentioned he would happily order it again on a future visit.
The combination of well-prepared dishes and a relaxed, neighbourhood setting made our meal memorable. While the service could improve in attentiveness at the start, the quality of the food more than made up for it. We would certainly look forward to returning if we stay in the area again.

I was so happy to find a Hungarian themed restaurant in Paris! Unfortunately it's more like a beers and burgers place, visited by locals, and only a limited amount of hungarian dishes on the menu, but the stuffed cabbage and the chicken paprikas were super tasty! For these two meals I'd give 5 stars. However the fröccs was a little bit warm and the soda water was not bubbly. There were only 2 waiters for the entire inside and outside area which meant even thought they tried their best, things would go a bit slowly. The place felt like a regular pub, unfortunately if that is what the demand is in this area, it's what they will supply. Great potential though!
