Halle Saint Pierre is a great stop in Paris if you want something a little different from the more obvious museums. It has a more alternative, creative feel and the exhibitions usually have a lot of personality. Being right by Montmartre makes it an easy place to add to the plan, and it is very worth it if you like cultural spots with a bit more character. The bookshop is especially nice, with a curated selection that feels more interesting than the average museum shop, and the café is a lovely extra if you want to sit for a bit and enjoy the atmosphere.

Great place to visit after Sacré-Coeur. Interesting display of artworks and a charming little bookstore with oddities. The building itself is worth seeing.

Super Amazing place! Why? The building itself is already fascinating with high ceilings and artistic iron pillars with a greenish greyish colour. This place is multifunctional with the cafe in front, then there’s a small library, then you can see an art gallery both on the first floor and second floor. All the staffs are friendly and kindly towards visitors. I even have quite long conversation with one of the curator of one of the exhibition going there for the artists. She’s been very helpful, supportive and positive about what she delivered.

Halle Saint Pierre is one of my favorite hidden gems in Montmartre. This art space, bookstore, and café blend together beautifully inside a former covered market. The exhibitions are always fascinating — bold, emotional, and often focused on outsider or contemporary art. The café upstairs is cozy, with a bohemian charm that feels perfectly at home in this creative corner of Paris. It’s the kind of place where you can spend hours wandering, reading, or just people-watching. A must-visit for art lovers looking for something authentic.

Though we got this crêperie suggested by a local taxi driver as a neighborhood fave among Parisians, it’s a hotspot for tourists, which isn’t surprising at all given the location. The crêpes are very good. And, if you’re looking for a quick spot to land and have a delish lunch after a long walk in Montmartre, this is the place. Wide selection of crêpe options, and they offer lunch prix fixe for a good price as well. ✌️

Fantastic savoury Crêpes. We need more shops like this around the world. Crêperie Brocéliande is a traditional Breton #creperie tucked into #montmartre near the Sacré-Cœur, known for its cozy atmosphere and authentic French #galettes (savory buckwheat crepes) and sweet crêpes. crispy crêpes, friendly and welcoming service, reasonable prices and options including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Great place for breakfast and brunch.

Great food and service! Tried the egg, ham, sweet onions crepe, which was really good. Also tried the caramel one which was said homemade. Light in salt and pretty sweet. Waited for half an hour and definitely worth it!

Great place to experience the crêpes of Paris. Fast service and great quality of the food. Superfriendly staf too! I chose a crepe with sugar and fresh lemon juice which was devine. My partner picked one with chocolate and chestnut sauce. It was amazing too with a deep and rich chocolate flavour. One thing that we didn't expect to like so much was their sweet apple cider. It's sweet but not too sweet. Like drinking autumn in a cup. We had to order extra. Never have I have this much cider in one go. It is a must try if you go here. Only got a photo of the cider, as we finished the crepes instantly.

This is such a fun and unique experience in Paris. Would highly recommend and great value for money. Only feedback is the cheese fondue only comes with bread to dip in, would be nice to have some potatoes or vegetables. Overall, the experience was great and the staff go above and beyond. Also - they will pull the table out if you don't want to climb over it so please ignore reviews saying you have no choice.

The place has a story to tell and a very specific identity, which it gladly shares with the customers. The atmosphere si on point, the staff si kind and helpful, the music is spot on for a casual sing along with the other customers and the food is plenty. (We got the cheese fondue and bread - it didn t seem to be a lot at the beginning, but paired with the drinks, aperitif and dessert, it was more than enough). The price is fair for what you get, left belly side up and energized from the whole experience

Our reservation was 19:15 on a Tuesday. We waited in line for the restaurant to open. We were ushered in, and seated with all people who sat against the wall having to climb over the table. The appetizer plate was skimpy, nothing special (see photo). Aperitif was chilled and nice. The price was $66.00 for 2 people. You can order as a single but you have to pay for 2 people. 2 choices: cheese and a basket of bread pieces or diced meat and potatoes to cook in hot oil. It was hot and everyone was sweaty. It was fun for most to drink from bottle nipple but I preceded to remove the ripple and have better access to the wine. It is very tight seating which was nice to have conversations with the strangers next to us but we could not have any private conversations. If I was not with my young daughter, I would not have gone to the restaurant. We had fun regardless. I would not go back.

My husband and I visited twice during our trip to Paris in 1999 and were thrilled to bring our kids here in 2026. The food and atmosphere were just as we remembered. We ordered 2 meat and 2 cheese fondues. The kir, appetizers, wine/beer and desserts were delicious as well. I hope it doesn’t take 25+ years to come back again!

this is the type of place where you just need a one time experience because the food was mid and it’s not comfortable to dine in since it’s super tight - but it was a fun experience and perfect for tourists

Outstanding. A local place with amazing food. Service was attentive and the atmosphere is enhanced with the historical accents and pictures. The duck breast was cooked perfect with a great flavor. We shared the veggie dish and duck. Wine selections are reasonable.

I had a fantastic meal here. The service was incredibly friendly, and the dishes were delicious. I ordered the bone marrow, which was a generous portion. I also tried the beef cheek, which was equally delightful. There were plenty of drink options available by the glass, and the classical French music playing in the background added to the ambiance. I will definitely come back during my next visit

The food is excellent. But that’s not why I give this place my highest recommendation. The food is excellent at many places in Paris. Excellent food is not enough to have a great restaurant experience. Great service is mandatory. A beautiful space is necessary. This place really delivers on providing a complete experience. The service was warm and welcoming. The space is beautiful. And of course, delicious food. I will be back!

Traditional French restaurant ambience. Fantastic food. We had the lunch set menu for 28 Euro. The appetizer of white asparagus was very chill and tasty. the entry of pork neck was so tender. We loved this restaurant! The waiter is Luca and he is so pleasant.

Pétrelle is your go-to for a romantic Parisian dinner. We visited in December ‘24. It is perfect with white tablecloths, candlelight, chandeliers, and tasteful, muted decor. As an added bonus, if you visit during colder months, a wood stove heats the dining room adding a wonderful lush smell to compliment the wonderful food. When my wife was unable to eat something on the tasting menu, they kindly offered a substitute. The service was wonderful, and the food was even better. Each course was excellent, but the showstopper for me was the fillet of Picardy venison with Jerusalem artichokes with hazelnut praline and cocoa jus.

I really love spicy food, and because it's not for everyone, I appreciate the fact that there are various levels of spiciness to ensure everyone has a great time. The food is delicious, authentic and served in solid portions. The staff are friendly and efficient, and you can choose to sit inside or outside as there's a good number of tables.

A Montmartre atmosphère with average food. Ran into Le Progrès while walking around Montmartre and decided to stop by. The waiter was attentive and atmosphere was calm as soon as we entered. We ordered the escargots, steak, tartar, and crème brûlée for dessert. Some dishes were good such as the tartar and salad dressing. On the other hand, the steak was not very well prepared and the cut was full of tendons. If you're looking for a calm bistro with nice atmosphere, I would recommend stopping by but I would not expect to be blown away by the food. Far from it...

Everything was wonderful!! The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious. The café itself has a very French chic atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!!

We had an excellent experience here. After making a reservation we got a great table. I ordered a salad and my husband had the eggplant. We are vegetarian so we were excited to get these entrees. The food is delicious and we shared a cheesecake for dessert - possibly the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. The lemon and basil flavors were sublime.

I thought the Sissi Imperatrice drink was exquisite. Such a refreshing change from today’s cocktails. The flatbread was also very good. I could have that everyday. The staff is so nice and the setting superb. I wish they had this restaurant at home!

I had previously tried to come here but it had been unexpectedly closed. This time I was in luck and it was open as scheduled. Reasonably easy to find and close to the metro which makes it handy. I had a langos and a chicken paprikash. Both were nice and certainly fresh. The service was excellent - I am not a french speaker and the server switched to enable me to order without any fuss. I will come back again!

Loved the atmosphere: the architecture makes you feel like you are truly in Budapest with the high vaulted ceilings and the candlesticks lit on each table. A cat even meanders around. We did not come across what some people have described as someone not very nice, but the service was very slow, possible they are understaffed. They were nice, the food was good and unique just maybe lacking a little seasoning. Glad to have tried it but will say it is ok the pricier side.

You have a hood chance of being screamed at by the owner. Read the lowest ratings before going. A volatile and violent person. Towards guest and staff. If you want a nice time in Paris - avoid. There are plenty of other choices:

Great Café! The waitress was very nice and the food very delicious. They gave us the menu in English so we had no problem with ordering. Cute ambiente and definitely not a place that was made only for tourists. Would recommend!

I had a good meal based in the daily menu: les oeufs mayonnaise with fresh salad and a sausage with mashed potatoes. All food was tasty, the home made mayonnaise sauce was delicious. I recommend you to sit inside, it is vintage and really stylish.

The staff was happy to answer our questions about the French menu. I took the brunch plate at 14 o'clock and they served it happily. They were quick to come and help and serve when we needed it. Really enjoyed this place, would absolutely go there again. Only thing was the non-English menu and the small tables.

We were up at a wet, cold and windy Sacré-Coeur and needed somewhere to warm up. Being from Ireland we thought of an Irish bar, this place was a great stop off. It had a nice warm big bar area. Plenty of screens to watch the sport and food to order which was a nice lunch. Only small downfall was on a cold day we asked to get a Hot Whiskey drink which we thought an Irish Bar would know but the bar staff did not know what this was and we had to teach them how to make and serve, look which was fine with us but it would be nice to go to an Irish Bar where staff know how to make drinks that Irish pubs should know and on days like that even promote. Other places had warm mullled wine, why not offer the Irish alternative 😂 The O’Haras IPA was decent and worth a mention.

We did not eat there, we arrived at 10 pm, we had drinks and...danced. At the back, a lively spot with a DJ to dance. Saturday night, every hour a different decade. Laid-back, relaxed crowd, A very nice surprise! Lots of draught beers, cocktails and large room. Recommeded.

Super welcoming experience in this Irish bar right next to Sacre Coeur. Paul, our barman was excellent in his service and the cocktails he made us were delicious. Very friendly and funny. It was an absolute pleasure.

Guinness, Magners cider - and delicious food. We love stopping here for a bit of a Irish respite from France. It’s a huge place with air conditioning, beer, fun, big screen, TVs. And good bathrooms. The service has always been excellent, and the people are friendly. Pulled pork nachos and bacon nachos come on a huge plate and they are delicious with lots of guacamole . Chicken sandwich is amazing.
