My wife and I stayed recently, and had a wonderful visit to Paris while staying at the hotel. Before arrival, they asked about our visit and made helpful suggestions to enhance our stay in Paris. They also upgraded our room upon arrival, and added a nice gift to welcome us to the hotel. The rooms were excellent and we had no issues with upkeep from the staff. The neighborhood the hotel is in, Marais, is also charming, adding to the entire experience. If you want a nice quiet place to relax in, with extra comforts and a staff that puts extra effort in to making your experience special, then look no further!

I had the great luxury of spending several days at this hotel for my birthday getaway. The staff was so lovely and upgraded us to a beautiful room. The location is perfect in the Marais. We enjoyed many cocktails (and hot chocolate) in the lobby bar. Unfortunately we did not eat at Anne. I felt like I had a pied à terre in Paris for 6 days. I cannot wait to return! Merci!

We had a fantastic stay. Their staff welcomed us with warmth and friendliness and were incredibly helpful. The room, while on the small side, was beautifully appointed and comfortable. The servers were professional and very attentive. The breakfasts were delicious. We had lunch one day at Anne, their restaurant, and had a spectacular meal with exceptional service. Everything about our time there was outstanding.

We were two Asian friends on a shopping trip.
This is our experience at Le Pavilion de la Reine, a hotel which I wanted to experience. Nothing wrong with the hotel, although it appears dated. I normally stay in the Haussmann area when in Paris because of its close proximity to Galleries Lafayette and the dinning places. For a change I wanted to explore Marais.
The hotel staff were polite but I was appalled by how they treated us on arrival. While we were aware that the permissible check in time is 3-4 pm we did request for "if possible" an early check in..we were informed that they were unable to accommodate that day as they were full and guests have yet to check out. That being the case we accepted their explanation.
However we noticed that when other guests arrived they were very quickly shown to the rooms without having to wait till 3-4 pm. Not one guest but at least 3 when we were 'trying to find ourselves' for the next 10-15 minutes at the lobby near the reception. I then went up to the reception staff to enquire why we are treated differently and the answer was our room was not ready. Surely if the room allocated is not ready with certainty they should be able to offer us another room as they did to the other 3 guests. there is not much place to wait in the hotel except for a small seater directly in front of the reception.
I then put a Q to reception staff as to why we are treated differently.
Secondly when we returned someone at the front desk, who was waiting for us to check in, clarified that the reason why a room couldn't be offered to us was because we asked for a Twin bed. Fine! When we got to the room we were shocked to find that it was a double bed and not a twin, which was the condition stated when we were making the booking. So what was the reason why we were not accommodated with an early check in???
I had to call the reception to inform them that the condition of my stay was that I must have a twin bed. And guess what, they came to the room and took the beds apart to make it a twin in that small room where there was no space to open the cupboard door so we had to leave our luggages downstairs.
Thirdly, we noticed that for every guest that checked in that day, the person/s at the reception checking them in, ensured that he or his colleague will show the guest to the room. When we checked in on return after 4 pm at about 7ish pm... the guy at the reception handed us the key and told us just the room number, like we knew where the lifts are or where the room is!!! When I told him we are not familiar with the hotel, he then begrudgingly requested the bell boy to show us to the room.

A proper old-school Paris hotel with proper unflappable staff who know their stuff and can be helpful about all things in Paris. The rooms are just what you expect in Paris- properly and incomprehensibly odd in the way that only French interior designers know how. The lift is properly tiny. As are the corridors. Breakfast is absolutely first class, the coffee is great and the courtyard is a haven. Please don’t modernise anything. (Except perhaps, get a few electric sockets fixed.)
High tech, time-poor global warriors should look elsewhere.

The restaurant was so busy and had a line with a waitlist, but the host was so organized and checked in with everyone often. Despite them being constantly busy, the service was so good from our waitress. This was our first meal in Paris and it was hard to top. We did the escargot to start followed by their duck and steak, with their house wine. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will think about this duck for a very long time. Also tried their famous mousse and it did not disappoint, would highly recommend..

We had a booking for 2pm but apparently with the rain people were late so they were running late so we waited outside until 2:30pm when we asked o when our table would be ready as a number of other groups had gone in after we had arrived. It seemed as if they had forgotten about us which was a little annoying so we didn’t get seated until 2:45pm, by which time we were quite wet from standing outside & hungry.
However, the staff were all very friendly & helpful despite the place being absolutely packed, they were apologetic & once we were seated we were promptly given menus & orders taken, the food arrived very quickly & it was a fantastic meal. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection & my sister had prawns & the ricard rice which was delicious as well. Then we had pudding of the chocolate mousse, which comes in a massive bowl & the staff just plop it on a plate, a little understated presentation but the experience & actual taste of it is glorious. We also had a crème brûlée which as well was excellent.
It is a bit pricey but the whole packed, busy but fun restaurant is a delightful experience. Would love to come again!

Delightful spot with terrace and indoor seating, both pleasant and pretty with abundant touches of Provence. Surprisingly inexpensive for the vey good quality food. Sunchoke soup and rump steak were very good and they will always bring some hot mustard along. Friendly fast and efficient staff.

Very, very nice and delicious experience!
We started with a delicious ratatouille, and it was great.
Then, I got a dish of prawns that arrived to the table BOILINg and fresh! It was also delicious.
My friend got a dish of the day, which was a stuffed meat with polenta, that was melting amazingly in our mouths.
But, you cannot miss the chance to try the star of this restaurant: the made in heaven chocolate mousse. Believe me, it’s super well-served, enough for 2 or even 3 people.
David (I bet it’s written this way, and who was our waiter), always trying to speak his best and Portuguese and super kind, gently asked if we needed more LMAO.
Best restaurant we’ve been during our holiday stay here in Paris this time.
Definitely coming back!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Paris, Chez Janou whispers the secrets of the city's golden age of gastronomy, a time when every corner promised a culinary adventure, and the simple act of choosing a restaurant was a delight unto itself. Those halcyon days, sadly, have faded, leaving in their wake the necessity for the modern gourmand to navigate Paris's culinary landscape with a carefully curated list of destinations guaranteed to satiate the palate. It is within this contemporary context that Chez Janou emerges not merely as a restaurant but as a culinary haven, a testament to what Parisian dining can and ought to be.
Every dish served at Chez Janou is a testament to the prowess and passion that resides within its kitchen. A recent visit with a group allowed us the luxury of sampling a generous swath of the menu, revealing a consistency in quality that is as commendable as it is delicious. From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish was crafted with a level of care and expertise that made each bite a celebration of French cuisine.
The excellence of Chez Janou extends beyond its culinary achievements to encompass the service and atmosphere that frame the dining experience. The staff's professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness elevate the meal, ensuring that each guest feels both valued and pampered. Moreover, the restaurant's ambiance, with its authentic charm and lively spirit, captures the essence of Parisian joie de vivre, making every visit a memorable occasion.
However, Chez Janou's popularity comes with its challenges. The demand for this exceptional dining experience means that securing a reservation is a must. Prospective diners are advised to plan ahead, as the chance of securing a table on a whim is slim. But this minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for the culinary delights that await at Chez Janou, a crown jewel in Paris's dining scene, inviting patrons to partake in a gastronomic journey that harkens back to the city's glorious heyday.

We came at opening time and were seated promptly. We got the cafe viennois (6,00), beef tartare (18,00) and the beef carpaccio (15,00).
I would skip the beef carpaccio as it was quite chewy but it comes with the scalloped potatoes which was SO DELICIOUS. I am not exaggerating. This warm potato dish with lots of cream and butter is so satisfying that it fills a void in your heart that you never knew you were missing.
The beef tartare also comes with the scalloped potatoes which I already raved about above. The beef tartare was so fresh tasting and different from anything we've had before. You mix it together and enjoy. I loved the extra bite you get from the capers. I would definitely recommend this dish here.
The Viennese coffee was the perfect ratio of cream to espresso. It might look like a lot of cream but it actually isn't. The cream is silky smooth and there's no sugar in it. It doesn't make you feel sickly afterwards. It's good - get it
The service was really good. She came to check up on us and was very friendly
The perfect day in Paris would definitely involve the Viennese coffee and the beef tartare from this restaurant.

Great casual place to meet up with friends, have a few drinks, and eat authentic french food at reasonable prices in downtown Paris.
The atmosphere and decor is very cozy and the service is amazing. Very friendly staff who would attend to you quickly. Reservations are not allowed and the place is usually very crowded so be prepared for some waiting time.
Food is decent but not the best that I've tasted.

It doesn’t get more French than this. It’s so French it feels like people could still be smoking inside. My wife and I absolutely love coming to cafe de l’industrie and we do so every time we’re in Paris. Food is very well priced and portion sizes are great, not to mention delicious!

Late night. Hungry. So we stopped in off street without reservations. We were seated immediately!
Prompt service. Food was good. Not stellar, but it hit the spot.
Highlight was the Dolcetto. Very good and good price.
Rocket salad also good.
Contemplating dessert as I write this.

The pizza at this restaurant was excellent - the crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.
The Caprese salad was also delicious, with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. Finally, the gnocchi was melt-in-your-mouth tender and had a rich, savory sauce that was perfectly balanced. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for tasty Italian food.
Amazing Panna Cotta!!!
One downfall is that they do not take Amex (American Express).
Leandra de Labastida - 12 months ago
As others has written this is a very nice Italian restaurant with helpful staff and good food. It’s a little pricey and (though this isn’t so unusual for Paris) there were no high-chairs for our son, but we had a really excellent meal and will hope to return!

Great place to eat, especially in summer their healthy and fresh options are delightful.
Their menu designs and staff are adorable and the food was delicious.
I’m only taking a star off as we waited an extremely long time. We had a train to catch after so it truly was problematic. The poor waitress was very kind but all alone and couldn’t keep up with everyone.
Other than that, I recommend :)

I will not be able to say enough about L'ange 20. My wife and I went for our 20th anniversary and it was superb, starting with our server Christopher. Nothing but spot-on recommendations including the wine.
We had the lamb and the cod. The lamb was so tender, no need for a knife. The cod was delicious.
For dessert we went with his 2 recommendations, pistacio creme brulee and the apple/ice cream.
Christopher made it fun. The restaurant is small and you get to know your neighbors, but that is the fun in life.
When we revisit Paris, we will be back! Merci L'Ange 20.

We were craving sushis this place was the closest to us and it completely satisfied us. Service was very quick, prices are affordable, and everything was tasty and well made. It was not the best sushis I had since I prefer it with less rice (which is almost impossible to find in most places). The Dragon roll was very tasty but not enough for a single person as a main dish.
