Perfectly located within Buttes-Chaumont parc, this trendy bar and restaurant offers plenty of space, both indoors with funky décor and outdoors on the terrace. They serve tapas, pizzas, and a variety of seasonal, homemade dishes. It’s also quite family-friendly, with a foosball table and high chairs available 👌

Located inside of the park and closed to the metro station, nice fun energetic queer bar and children friendly, drag race screening was fun to watch. It’s in the Paris metropolitan area, so I did pass through some scary part of Paris to get there, but once you are here it’s all rainbows and glitter.

Nice very colorful place, too bad the weather is cold. Great terrace in a parc.
Friendly service.
If I was not mistaking I even saw a massage service in the corner :)
Not far from the subway.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, and it truly was something special. Maybe arrive earlier to avoid queuing for more than half an hour. The staff did what they could with the amount of people they had to deal with. Super delicious pizza and patatas bravas. Prices were reasonable.

This is a delightful bar in a charming park - and it serves delicious cocktails (can heartily recommend the Summer Rosé). Lovely atmosphere (family friendly during the day and early evening - suspect it gets a bit more hedonistic the later it gets).

Delicious and friendly tea room and fast food restaurant. Some items are homemade. Excellent service... the owner, Patricia, is very friendly... a great place... Opposite the Buttes Chaumont park.

I was absolutely delighted with the chocolate cake Patricia made for my birthday; it was delicious! Patricia was attentive, available, patient, and full of ideas throughout the entire process, from choosing the cake to its creation. Not only does she make excellent cakes, but she is also very friendly, kind, and attentive. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday cake!

I came out of the park across the street on Christmas afternoon. It was very cold, but the place was bustling and cozy. A cup of coffee was reasonably priced at 2.5 euros. I sat by the window facing the street for a while and soaked in the Parisian atmosphere.🎄🎄🎄

Very chill and cozy space to dine in i tried the filet de daurade royale and cafe gourmand definitely worth it .. however it can get quite frustrating to get the attention of some nonchalant servers !

We came here a few times during our trip, it was good every time. They have a decent breakfast offering, nice late night bar, solid dinner menu. The staff were always nice, accommodating, and the food was good.

Wonderful neighborhood place with an impressive wine board. Two English speaking waitresses were busy but very helpful. Menu (attached) features game and offal. We started with thinly sliced veal tongue and thinly sliced pig ears. Wonderful. For mains we ate sweet breads and a crout stuffed with wild boar (vol-au-vent). Desert was a berry tarte. Located in the 18th so a bit of a project to get there but it’s not to be missed

Comfortable neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and an interesting chalkboard wine list that changes according to what is available. Small menu changes daily with well-chosen and well-crafted dishes. Although dishes are divided into starters and mains all of our dishes came at the same time. Might be better to order in stages or ask to have a pause between courses if you want a more leisurely meal. Ris de veau is a signature dish and we loved it! Pâté en crôute (with guinea fowl and pork) was excellent. Service was good and conversation shifted easily between French and English without a trace of attitude.
Alison Saracena - 5 months ago
Had the Pâté en crôute and the tartare de filet Mignon. Both were delicious, but the tartare may have been the best meal I ate in Paris. Service was great and super friendly. Waiter spoke a bit of English and was happy to explain some of the menu to me.

This meal spoke fluent terroir.
I began with cervelle de veau, handled with rare restraint. Perfectly delicate, just set, never overworked. The richness was lifted by precise acidity—classic French technique doing what it does best: letting the ingredient breathe. No theatrics, just confidence. A dish that whispers rather than shouts.
The joue de bœuf followed—slow-cooked into submission. Deep, gelatinous, and soulful. This is the kind of dish that reminds you why patience is a virtue in French kitchens. The sauce carried weight without heaviness, coating the palate like a well-worn cashmere coat.
The betterave proved to be the wiser choice. Earthy, gently sweet, and thoughtfully composed, it brought contrast rather than competition. Where meat would have doubled down on weight, the beetroot introduced clarity—grounded, vegetal, and quietly elegant. It anchored the meal in seasonality and restraint, a reminder that French cuisine at its best knows when not to add more.
The red wine pairing still held its ground. The wine’s earth and spice mirrored the beetroot’s depth, while its structure kept the veal brain honest. Less force, more dialogue.
What impressed most was the continuity—the quiet logic from nose to root, from classic technique to honest execution. This is French cuisine with memory: respectful of tradition, uninterested in trends, and confident enough to let simplicity do the work.
A meal for those who eat with curiosity—and discernment.

French bistrot cuisine. Tasty and perfectly executed.
A friendly staff.
A bargain lunch menu for less than 20€.
A long list of delicious (natural) wines.
A must-go in the vicinity.

Nice, small place, friendly, fast and smiling service. :)
Affligem beer is really good, kind of sweet, not too strong.
You can also get food from here, even some vegetarian options. They speak English here. And what else...maybe ought to visit the restroom here if going to the park.

A great location right next to the park and nicely spaced out tables inside. The manageress gave a very professional service. We had some hitches with how to use our Wonderbox vouchers (always a headache with these things) but it was all sorted out in the end. Food was good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Checked out Le Gange near Parc Butte Chaumont in Paris, and it's a pretty interesting mix of an Indian restaurant and a regular brasserie. They've put an Indo twist on some dishes like omelettes, pizzas, and burgers, but they also serve the usual Indian stuff.
We tried a few dishes – the Dahl Tarka wasn't that great, but the chickpea curry was really good (kind of a different take on Chana Masala with little green non-chili peppers). The paneer tikka was good too. We asked for the dishes to be spicy, and they definitely delivered!
My daughter had the butter chicken, and it was the best dish on the table. The naans weren't super fresh (maybe heated?), but the rice was good. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall, a solid 4 stars for Le Gange! Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I don’t have enough compliments for this place—great food, excellent service, super clean, and truly enjoyable. Absolutely a must-try!

Went to this place as we were staying close and the staff were so welcoming. The pasta wasn’t available until 7pm but the staff made it a little earlier, we were happy to wait but so pleased they went the extra mile.
Loved the food so much we got take away on our last night in Paris. The pepperoni pizza and the spaghetti bolognaise are so tasty, would recommend these for sure.
Trishna Vadhia - a year ago
Our last night in Paris on a raining evening we went into this restaurant not expecting much as it was fairly empty and looked a bit drab. However, we all had a wonderful meal. The service was friendly and attentive and we loved our food. My wife and I had the Chicken Schnitzel which came with a beautiful Spaghetti Bolognese. My teenagers had the pizza. Despite going through Italy for a fortnight, we still look back on this meal as one of the better Italian inspired feeds we had on our trip. It was reasonably priced for the centre of Paris with generous portions.

Fantastic food, fantastic service! The couscous was delicious and there are also great vegetarian options (including vegetarian couscous!). Not only Moroccan food, too. Great location (located right next to a beautiful park: Buttes-Chaumont). A true hidden gem!

An exceptional little gem of a café close to Buttes Chaumont. Try the lamb and the "sauce maison" with a nice glass of Côte du Rhone and you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful experience here with a family party of 16 which they accommodated with grace and efficiency. We took up one whole side of the outside area. They could not have been more helpful with the children's likes and dislikes, especially as one has a severe peanut allergy and another eats practically nothing but avocados and cucumber. Four of the group are vegetarians and really enjoyed the vegetarian
couscous and salads. The entrecôte steaks for the meat eaters were huge! The food was great and the service outstanding. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful lunch here. The chicken and fries were tasty and unbelievable value. The lemon meringue pie was incredible. The best I’ve ever had. Lunch was amazing and very good value. I wish I could return.
There are some bad reviews here related to not speaking English. I don’t understand- you are visiting France! If you are polite and make an effort to use a bit of French (even use Google Translate) you will not have any problems. The staff and professional and friendly if you try.

Absolutely loved this place. Such a warm and wonderful atmosphere, incredibly friendly hosts who helped us understand what was on the menu even through the language barrier. Food was delicious and lovingly made. I recommend the poulet frites and the fresh orange juice and the lemon meringue tarte with coffee. We will certainly be back!
Andrew Paterson - 2 weeks ago
Local restaurant with the feel of home. Although they don’t speak much English, they did their best to accommodate me and my family. They made sure I ate properly, insisting that I wait till after lunch to have my chocolat chaud with dessert, because that’s proper.
The poulet frite was good, but not the best I’ve had in Paris. The lemon meringue pie was great! The ambiance and service made it worth the trip.
The price for 5 plates, 2 desserts, and 1 hot chocolate was €50.

My partner saw this place thanks to Mac DeMarco and wanted to be here. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy the delicious chicken, fries and gravy just for €6.86! The service was very fast, the place is very small and it is very busy, but we enjoyed our quick bite at this cozy place.
Foodieeda - 11 months ago
Tasty, fresh and affordable, poulet frites €6.86 price has never changed. They don’t speak much English so be prepared for that. Good for a quiet dine. Too good we started eating before the camera did🤣 the sauce was also good, tangy and vinegary.
