Ordered the Capannina pizza, it had the right amount of spiciness from the italian sausages, the dough was cooked to perfection, it was a great meal.
The waiters were very attentive, the order arrived within minutes although it was very busy. Recommend this place.

Soooo gooood. Pizza dough is soft and chewy. Pizza named CRU??? was sooo good, perfect combination with jambom and rocket. Staffs were so nice and lovely. Would def come back.

It can be hard to find good pizza in France. Latin Quartier is a happy exception. The Neapolitan pizza crusts are perfect, puffy semi charred rims and soft centers. The toppings are fresh, quality ingredients. Very friendly service especially for Paris. Come on a Sunday after enjoying the Rue Mouffetard market.

LOVE this place. As tourists from the US, we’ve had a bit of a struggle finding places that suit us for breakfast. We tried all sorts of cuisines over our week stay but still missed the traditional eggs, toast and taters that we are so used to. A lot of breakfast spots we visited had extremely sweet mains for breakfast or things we weren’t very used to. Finding this spot was amazing. We got in a hearty breakfast of eggs, toast, potatoes and pancakes and a good old cup of coffee and OJ. The hot coco is also delicious. Enough to last us the day until dinner time.
The atmosphere resembles traditional 50’s style diners which was also exciting to see. The staff is absolutely delightful. Thank you and we’ll probably be back someday!

This place is a fantastic choice for simple yet delicious food! It’s especially perfect on Sunday mornings, where you’ll find a mix of American families and tourists enjoying their breakfast and creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The vibes here are genuinely great, and the staff adds to the experience with their friendliness and attentiveness. True to its advertising, this diner perfectly captures the essence of an authentic American-style experience. The coffee stands out as exceptional, and the desserts are equally satisfying, adding a sweet touch to the meal. Overall, my visit was thoroughly enjoyable, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again!

This is a super cute diner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There were 3 of us, each trying different things. Omelet, breakfast burrito and pancakes and everything was delicious.

If you’re an American feeling homesick for a good old American breakfast then this is the place for you. I had the classic farmer’s breakfast with two eggs, two bacon and two pancakes. The pancakes were perfect.

Great American style food similar to Dennys or IHOP, its a little small in size but it's Paris, id recommend going before 12pm to avoid the crowds

Known for their truffle menu, and although we didn't pick that, we enjoyed the set meal that we picked.
The complimentary bread with truffle butter was a good starting point. Among the appetizers, the eggplant stood out for me, showcasing cooking techniques and out of the ordinary flavours. Of the two mains we had, preferred the steak. It's better than what we had from a Michelin-starred restaurant few days before. The prawn main needed a little more finesse, one piece isn't as refined as the others. They gave free lasagna topped with bone marrow. Loved it and it needed to go in their main menu.
Dessert came in a wide variety, but my personal favorite is the complimentary truffle ice cream. A bit hesitant at first but it was very delicious.
Service is excellent. Each dish is described in detail which sets the tone for each dish. A small hiccup at the beginning because the table is a bit dusty, might be an exhaust issue. Still complimented the chef before leaving because what a great meal that was.

A truly exceptional experience from start to finish. The carrot-themed amuse-bouche was both whimsical and beautifully executed — a creative and flavorful opening. Fois gras starter was excellent. The gnocchi with mushrooms and truffles was perfectly balanced, rich yet delicate. But the standout was the pomelo dessert: an extraordinary interplay of sweetness and tartness, unlike anything I’ve encountered before. Service was impeccable — gracious, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable. A memorable meal in every way.

Amazing restaurant with high attention to detail. Wonderful food with focus on truffle flavour.
We visited there in June 2024. It was my wife, 8 year old daughter and myself. We were warmly greeted and they had read our requests very well so that was already a great start due to any dietary requirements.
The menu is unique and they had also prepared something i.e had nice choices for my little one.
I would highly recommend this restaurant which is different as the truffle aspect to me personally was really nice. We enjoyed it a lot!
Thanks to the Chef for popping at our table and being so warm. Wonderful team of people and all the best wishes.

My wife and I had the special chefs choice truffle menu and it was fantastic.
The highlights were the oxtail with the potato foam and the palette cleaner before dessert which was truffle and honey ice cream.
The staff was excellent, informative, polite and really wanted us to enjoy our experience.
One of the best meals we have had.

Great bar , the barmen and locals are always cool. Any football game you want to watch they can probably put it on if you ask and there isn’t a big game on already. Pint (Kronenbourg)is good, but id stay clear of the Guinness. All in all a great bar with a good fun atmosphere.

My family visited Paris last week and found Cafe El Sur via a quick Google maps search as we were looking for a place to eat near our hotel. I’m glad we found this place because the food was delicious and service was amazing!! We ordered the croquetas de jamón, guacamole, papas fritas artesanas, and the Parrillada de Carnes (80€ ) We will definitely be stopping here next time we’re in Paris.

A bit off the main tourist attractions, but still very popular—there were plenty of customers. If you’re sitting outside on a sunny day, be prepared for the heat as there are no sunshades, which can get uncomfortable.
Prices are on the higher side. We wanted to try the daily special, but unfortunately, they had already run out of beef. Overall, the lunch menu was quite limited if you’re looking for a proper meal.
The burger patty was cooked perfectly medium, but it was quite watery and lacked flavor. On the other hand, the others at our table really enjoyed their Caesar salad and yellow fish dish.
Definitely try the vitamin C juice—it was a hit!

Great place to get sun .
Very french bistrot . We went for a lunch on a sunday , it was busy but didn’t feel uncomfortable.
The staff was very friendly and took care of us .
However as for the food eas not too bad but it’s not really a place to have proper lunch .
We had sharing dishes .
i think it’s a bit over priced for what they served but i guess you also pay the area . The only cafe facing the sun .
It was still very pleasant.

French fries and blond beer 1664 pint was very good, it came with a lemon in glass (we also liked the aromatic flavor). But I didn’t like the cafe gourmand, because deserts didn’t satisfy me in terms of taste. Oh and they offer some popcorn with drinks which is nice.
Overall I think it’s a nice café to meet with friends for a few drinks and to enjoy the atmosphere of Place de la Contrescape. btw happy hour from 17h to 19h!

Lovely terrace and good drinks. The server was very friendly, despite my limited French. Prices maybe a bit high, but the location on the busy square was worth it. Can't comment on the food. Overall a nice cafe that I would love to return to.

I'm always a bit cynical about British pubs abroad, but this one's an absolute gem. Great choice of ales, and had the fish and chips... fries really, but willing to let that pass, as the fish was one of the best cooked bits of fish I've had in a long time. Superb

Stopped in for the English Breakfast on the weekend and it was delicious, with large portions for a reasonable price. I spent a few years in England, and it feels like a proper British pub. Highly recommend to check out the full English breakfast on the weekends.

This is a great English pub in the heart of Paris. Aesthetically it is one of my favourites in the city, there is always a great atmosphere and always seems to be busy. I’ve been here many times for sports, birthdays or simply meeting a mate for a pint. It’s a great bar to go as an expat , you will meet both French and English speaking people, and you will likely get drunk together watching football.
The only time I have eaten here was for a Sunday lunch which wasn’t great, other food looks decent.

My first visit here was just for a baguette and chocolate eclairs. Both were so good. Surprised the baguette was warm since I bought it in the afternoon but so glad it was, as it was probably the best I've had. Crunchy outside and light inside. Add beurre aux sel de mar and it's all you need. There's another EK just up the street that serves good coffee and some different food items than the other store.

Really really really great food! Got the recommendation from an Ethiopian friend and it did not disappoint. It was the best meal I’ve had in Paris over the month that I’ve been here. I got the vegetarian sampler. One of the dishes was slightly overseasoned in my opinion, but the rest were so good that I didn’t even care.
There was just one woman running everything (cooking, taking orders, bussing tables, etc) but we were the only ones there at the time so we didn’t have any issues with slow service.
Again, really delicious food. I highly recommend going here.

Walking near the Sorbonne in the 5th District we came upon Le Buisson Ardent and saw a wonderful lamb entree on the menu. We settled in for 2+ delicious hours of cafe dining, including that lamb, dessert and cognac. All accompanied by the charm and conversation of the owner and young patrons surrounding us. Highly recommend!

Nice place to have French food. Staff is very friendly. We ordered a starter with beef which was a bit too salty. However, it came with very flavorful olive oil dressing. It would be good if there was some more salad. The shrimp salad is very good. I also ordered a mojito. It did not have enough lime😌.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Le Buisson Ardent — it was our very first meal in Paris, and it couldn’t have been a better start to our trip. The food was outstanding, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.
We especially enjoyed the Œuf mayonnaise à la truffe, the creamy risotto, and the Gigot d’agneau — all recommended by the staff and absolutely delicious.
Beyond the food, what truly made the experience memorable was the warm and genuine hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Yannis and the kind blonde waiter (whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch) for making us feel so welcomed and well cared for.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and heartfelt Parisian dining experience!
