Such an elegant restaurant! Great for special occasion lunch or dinner. Food was served fresh and was delicious. Professional staff and can’t say enough good things about interior design and the garden. If possible go on a sunny day for lunch so you can sit outside.

Nice place, booked in advance for dinner. We had a table on the terrace on time as we booked.
The eggplant with tuna was not tasty. The kids liked the pasta with langoustine. The cocktails were good.

From the moment you step into Laurent, you feel that quiet Parisian grace , the kind that never tries too hard, yet leaves a lasting impression. Hidden just off the Champs-Élysées, in front of hotel La Réserve, the restaurant sits inside a beautiful old mansion, where every detail, from the soft light to the polished wood and garden terrace , reminds you that elegance still has a home in Paris.
The food? Simply exceptional. I would highly recommend the Hachis Parmentier, perfectly comforting yet sophisticated; the Velouté, smooth and delicate like silk; the Angus rib-eye, cooked with precision and depth; and the Langoustines, tender and full of the sea’s sweetness. A small note, though, something I’ve noticed in all restaurants of the group that I know : (Baronne, Gigi, Beau Coco etc...) the fries and mashed potatoes are always served barely warm, despite my gentle insistence. A detail, yes, but one worth perfecting in a place of such excellence.
Service here is on another level, professional yet genuine, attentive without ever feeling intrusive. I went with a close friend who manages luxury hotels and restaurants, a woman known for her high standards, and the team met every one of her expectations without missing a beat. Laurent never disappoints.

We really enjoyed the restaurant — the food and the waiter’s service were excellent!
However, I’d like to leave a note about the reception. Upon our arrival, the hostess made an unnecessary comment about my fiancé’s outfit, suggesting he should dress differently next time. I found that remark quite tactless and inelegant, especially considering he was wearing a Loro Piana cashmere set — the very definition of casual chic.
Ironically, the hostess herself was dressed in a way that could be considered inappropriate for such an establishment, wearing an excessively short dress. Elegance is not about how formal one’s clothes are, but about how one treats others — with respect and good manners.
The service and atmosphere in the dining room were impeccable, but the reception staff could definitely use a lesson in true elegance.

Had a dream night here! We were celebrating our anniversary, and from start to finish our experience was perfect. We got the 4-course set menu. For starters, we had the Macaronis Farcis and the Avocat Saint Germain. The Macaronis Farcis was overrated, we wouldn’t order it again. The Avocat Saint Germain was superb! For the main dishes we got a steak with foie gras (forgot the name) and their lobster - both were great. And for the dessert we had the Crepes Suzette and one of their chocolate desserts and both were great. Definitely try the crepes - they prepare them live and it’s fun to watch. The waiters were all incredible and very friendly. The ambience is just so dream-like. They had a live pianist, and the ceiling opened for some parts of the night for an open feel. The place is designed so beautifully. The only two side-comments are 1) the place is a bit too prim and proper which can feel a bit stuffy (especially with some of the service theatrics) - but maybe fitting to get that different kind of experience - and 2) it is way too pricey.

Just wow
The food was incredible
We got the tasting menu. It was kind of expensive, it cost two of us around €800 included one bottle of wine.
The staff were super professional
It’s better to make a reservation for this place.

One of the best restaurants in the world. Elegance and style. Not over the top but classy and opulent at the same time. The cuisine is amazing. Service exceptional. I can not find fault. We had a romantic dinner and will remember the experience. The sauce! The style of dishes was light but full of flavour and the sauce was sensational. The service was like a well choreographed dance and the atmosphere dignified but warm and comfortable. Thank you for a world class experience.

QoE: We had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant "Lasserre"! The staff guided us to our seats on the second floor and extended a warm welcome with delightful complimentary items. They expertly assisted us in choosing drinks and dishes, including the exquisite "Macaronis farcis," "œufs aux cèpes," "canard à l'orange," "pommes coing," "coupe billecart Salmon Rose", "coupe Laurent Perrier", "eau de Sail", and more. The service was efficient, and we were impressed by the use of technology to open the roof for a breath of fresh air. It truly added to the overall wonderful quality of our dining experience.

It's a very nice theater.
The behavior of the stuffs are also very nice. After watching the movie in the theater we went to the Cafe and it was very nice of a time with family.
The surrounds were also very nice and in the heart of Paris it's a nice place to visit with family and friends.
Usually it's not as busy as it seems and it's calm and nice of a place for people of young age.

My most recent visit this past November truly felt like a Michelin-star experience. I dined at Le Berkeley a few months ago, and the improvement since then has been remarkable.
I read that a new chef recently revamped the menu — and you can absolutely taste the difference. The beef cheek and mac & cheese were outstanding, the tuna with ponzu was perfectly balanced, and even the bread and butter were some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
I also want to highlight our server, Anis. He was an absolute pleasure — knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly courteous. He made sure every request was handled seamlessly.
Overall, a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended.

I was starving and had been searching for a place to eat for quite a while as I walked through the Champs-Élysées. This restaurant caught my eye, but I was immediately put off by the state of the menu – sticky, with the laminate peeling off. We ordered espresso martini and a Porn Star martini. The espresso martini was borderline acceptable, while the Porn Star martini was overly sweet with a random mix of alcohols that completely missed the mark. You can even see it in the photo.
The bread was served in a wire basket without a cloth, which meant crumbs scattered everywhere each time we tried to break a piece. To make things worse, we weren't even given a plate to butter the bread, so the table ended up full of crumbs. The tartare was tasty but poorly prepared, with large chunks and a lot of chewy white membrane. The burger was decent, but overall, the experience was disappointing.
This place tries to be "fancy," but as soon as you start noticing the details, it becomes clear it's just another wannabe, outdated, and poorly managed restaurant. I regret spending my money here and wouldn't recommend it.

The coffee was a good quality. The Wi-Fi work real well. The tables are positioned towards the windows in a very nice view. A very small coffee, see photo, was $6.80.

The food and service were outstanding! My daughter has a severe allergy to peanuts and all nuts. Which is stressful when traveling to Paris. Our waitress was able to speak to us in English and she made sure everything my daughter ate was safe. It was our favorite place we went to while we were in Paris! The Parmesan crusted chicken and raspberry Bellini were delicious!!

I ordered the chicken club sandwich — it was good. The French toast was also nice. Their coffee isn’t served too hot; it’s warm and just right. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and if it’s busy, you’ll need a reservation

Years can go by, but some places just never lose their magic. Le Matignon in Paris is one of them. I was blown away by their incredible brunch, especially the French toast, which is the best I've ever had. The food is next-level, with standout dishes like the succulent lobster salad, the perfectly seared sesame tuna, and the impossibly tender beef carpaccio. Seriously, every single plate was a hit. We were two people with the appetites of four, and we devoured it all.
While the overall service was good, our server was sometimes hard to find when we needed extra napkins and cutlery. However, this didn't take away from the experience. The bathrooms were also clean and tidy, which is always a plus.
What made the day even more perfect was sharing the experience with a couple of new friends we met there. Le Matignon isn't just about the food—it's about the wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I can't wait to be back on my next trip to Paris.

If you decide to have a dinner its the best food I ate in these 10 days.

I absolutely love the food at this place! Seriously if you want to go out to a nice spot where you can people watch this is the place you should go! It’s definitely in the fancier side but the food and drinks are absolutely amazing. I go there a lot for dinner. Best viel Milanese in town! The service is a hot slow and a little unfriendly at times. But not all of them! I would definitely recommend going!

Famous French toast was delicious!! I had a cocktail as well. Have to remember if you order water, they will charge you for a bottle of water, in which they bring the bottle to your table. Water is not free in Paris. Service was really slow before my order was taken. However, I enjoyed the food as well as the visitors that sat all around me!!

Despite not being the biggest fan of French food and its focus on butters/cheeses, Le Gabriel was very impressive and can definitely see why this is a 3 star. Got the 4 course lunch menu for €148 with the Hare a la carte and left extremely full. Also got starters, dessert bites, and a small anniversary cake on the house. Every dish ranged from solid to super solid, with each being well-detailed, textured, presented, and flavorful. Service was coordinated, unobstrusive, and thorough. Ambience was elegant – the dining room was beautiful, festive, and easy to talk in. All in all, amazing meal, but not the biggest fan of French food so won't be my favorite.

Having experienced multiple three-Michelin-star restaurants in the U.S., I can say Le Gabriel exceeded expectations. The entire experience felt curated, intentional, and deeply sophisticated—from the pacing to the precision of service. Execution was unquestionably high-level, with a refined, confident team that delivers true fine dining without unnecessary theatrics.
An exceptional Paris experience. I would absolutely return.

This is definitely a must-visit Michelin 3-star restaurant in Paris! We came here for weekday lunch, which included three courses, and everything was absolutely delightful.
The flavors were exquisite, the service impeccable, and the ambiance elegant yet comfortable. What impressed me the most was the exceptional value for money — it truly feels like enjoying a 3-star Michelin experience at the price of a 1- or 2-star restaurant.
Compared to many other fine dining places in the same price range, the overall quality here is on another level. If you’re in Paris and love fine dining, don’t miss this gem!

O' Dear Paris how I love and miss u!
Paris is a city that eats history for breakfast and serves it again at dinner. In that city, inside a 19th-century mansion turned palace hotel on Avenue Gabriel, sits Le Gabriel, a restaurant that has climbed — with a chef’s steady hands and a brigade’s relentless discipline — to the rarefied heights of three Michelin stars. It’s the sort of accolade that makes other restaurants pause, take note, and wonder whether they’re even playing the same game.
Chef Jérôme Banctel is not a flashy sorcerer of smoke and mirrors. His résumé is a quiet testament to hard miles — long stints with French greats, years in kitchens where precision is currency and vanity is cheap. At Le Gabriel, that lifetime of apprenticeship shows. This isn’t theatre; it’s craftsmanship honed so thoroughly it seems effortless.
The dining room feels like a storybook Parisian salon — gilt touches, high ceilings, old-world pedigree dressed in modern restraint. It’s elegant without being suffocating, a place where the room serves the food, not the other way around.
What happens on the plate is where Le Gabriel earns its stars, and where it asks something of you. Banctel’s menus — anchored in his native Brittany and stretched out to the world through a “Virée” or “Périple” tasting... (Stole that from a thesaurus and many hours thinking how to say it) — are thoughtful explorations of technique, texture, and flavour. Raw ingredients aren’t merely cooked; they’re interrogated. Carrots become more than vegetables; they’re arguments about sweetness, acid, and ginger. Seafood arrives with the briny echo of ocean breezes. Sauces are rich and concentrated, but never sloppy.
This isn’t food that shows off. It’s food that speaks — sometimes softly, sometimes insistently, but always with purpose. In Paris, that alone is worth something. There is an ebb and flow to the courses that feels less like a meal and more like a conversation: with the chef, with the city, with traditions worth preserving and flavours worth challenging.
Service here is impeccably judged. Polished but not intrusive, confident without verging on arrogance, it strikes that rare balance where hospitality is felt before it’s even acknowledged. Plates arrive at a comfortable pace. Staff explain without lecturing. Glasses are poured with the sort of ease that suggests a deep knowledge of wine without snobbery.
A meal at Le Gabriel is not cheap, and it should not be. You’re paying for a chef who’s wrestled French tradition into refined submission, for staff who respect your time and curiosity, and for an experience steeped in Parisian culinary ambition. Some dishes will hit harder than others — that’s inevitable in any tasting that reaches for nuance over novelty — but the sum total is unmistakably impressive.
There are restaurants that make you feel at home, and restaurants that remind you why you travel in the first place. Le Gabriel belongs to the latter group. It’s not just about the food. It’s about the sense that you’re bearing witness to something that matters in a city that thrives on meaning.
In a world full of noise and flash, this is a quiet masterpiece — subtle, demanding, rewarding. And in Paris, that’s no small thing.
Levi Dance - in the last week
Back at Le Gabriel after a long while, my last visit was right before they earned the third star. I had heard good things about the Game Menu since last year, and today that curiosity was finally answered.
In some ways it stands apart from the two tasting menus. It feels more classical, almost like early Le Gabriel, and it keeps the overt Asian notes out altogether.
Game menus can stack flavors and feel heavy, but today the team handled that challenge with real finesse. The natural weight was there, as it should be, yet from the opening duck terrine to the closing à la royale each course had a clear focal ingredient and nothing tipped into excess.
Time has passed, but I left with an even better impression than my first visit. Grateful for the meal.
If someone asks me which three star to book in Paris now, I can point to Le Gabriel. That is not only about the food. The room shines even more at night and the hospitality is faultless, crisp, and quietly professional.

Come only if you have time to spare. Food was delicious albeit the long wait. Had a reservation at 12.30pm on a weekday. We waited a long time despite having orders taken. Other customers had their miso soup served first and i received my salad. However, my main and vegetables were served an hour later at 1.30pm. Not sure how to avoid such a long wait, but alas, the food was really good.

Food was pretty much average. I think it was the flames of the teppanyaki grill that stole the show. There was a mix up our order where the proteins came first. Rice was served much later so our food got cold by then. We also ordered grilled tofu as appetisers but they took a while before telling us thy don’t have it anymore (main has been served already). Maybe not worth the price?
