5 Star Rating My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary in Paris, and choosing Maison Albar near 3 Ave Mac-Mahon was one of the best decisions we made. While the property itself has a more classic, older charm compared to some of the newer hotels we typically choose, what truly sets it apart is the immaculate service. From the moment we arrived through our entire week-long stay, the staff consistently went above and beyond. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful. A special thank you to Sophie, who provided incredible restaurant recommendations that ended up being some of our favorite meals in Paris. The level of service here is hard to put into words. We were treated with such care and attention that we genuinely felt like royalty the entire time. It’s rare to find a team so attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The location is another major highlight. It’s just a short, easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe and surrounded by great shopping. You’re also very close to both metro and bus routes, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere in the city. If you prefer, catching an Uber or flagging a cab is effortless. The hotel staff is also happy to arrange transportation for you. Overall, everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We left already looking forward to coming back. I truly can’t say enough about how wonderful this experience was. 100% satisfaction—highly recommend.

4 Star Rating Booked an executive room, as I had done the previous occasion specifically for views of the arc de triomphe. Was on the first floor so no view at all. Asked for higher room. All booked out. As a repeat customer thought I’d get treated better. Please, do not get me wrong, the staff were amazing. BUT, if you want repeat customers, you need to look after them. I come nearly every year.

5 Star Rating • Exceptional location: The hotel is at 3 Avenue Mac Mahon, 75017 Paris, just a few minutes’ walk from both the Arc de Triomphe and the famed Champs-Élysées boulevard. Guests repeatedly praise how convenient it is for sightseeing and shopping. • Strong service and cleanliness: Recent guest reviews highlight very clean rooms and attentive, friendly staff. For instance: “Super nice room and clean… very nice staff.” • Boutique luxury feel: Though labelled a 5-star, the hotel has a somewhat boutique atmosphere (around 40 rooms according to some listings), which helps it feel more intimate than some larger chain hotels. • Good amenities: Free WiFi, a bar/lounge, and centrally placed for transport (Charles-de-Gaulle–Étoile metro nearby) are noted as benefits.

3 Star Rating This is a nice and quiet hotel. The location is literally steps away from the Arch. Staff was very nice but we had a couple observations that doesn’t allow me to give 5 stars. The toilet, hairdryer, and fridge in the room didn’t work. Also they claim there is 24 hour room service- but when we tried to order the overnight staff told us they didn’t have anything. Beware the room service app is 24 hours: you’ll make the selection and pay- but it will never arrive. We went downstairs to inquire about the order and staff told us we weren’t going to get our order- even though we had paid. Beds were very comfortable and housekeeping was very thorough.

5 Star Rating WOW!! We loved the hotel's location and neighborhood. We were very welcomed after a long day/ night of travel from California. Reception was friendly and patient with our limited French vocabulary. We arrived hours before then check in time but we were able to check in early and go to our room within 5 minutes. They even gave us an upgraded room since it was my wife's birthday weekend in Paris! The room was very clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and clean! Bathrooms were well stocked and clean as well. We ended up extending one night due to flight complications. We literally had 0 issues with the hotel the entire stay! We travel a lot and that's rare for us. The neighborhood was very walkable with several great restaurants and sites in the area. Highly recommend the beer station next door! Look no further, book a stay at this amazing property!

2 Star Rating I was hoping to going there for some fish & chips but eventually went for breakfast-they were supposed to be legendary. Do NOT do it. Environment is cold, almost as cold as the bar tender that seems to totally ignore the meaning of the industry he is working in, service. And the waitress lady? Well she eventually knew we were there and seems to be she ignores also the meaning of waiting lady. Food? An over priced breakfast that you may get in ANY average cafe in Paris. Will I give them the chance for drinks? Maybe, but for food and breakfast never again: you don’t have to do it yourself.

5 Star Rating This little gem close to Arc de Triomphe was a great find. The staff are lovely and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Their kindness and attention to detail always with a smile could not be beaten by any other establishment. We ate there on our first night of 4 day trip to Paris and were so impressed we booked for the other 2 nights also. Food menu is varied to suit every taste and the prices are so reasonable. We had 2 courses each night with alcohol and soft drink and the average price for this is around €75-80 euros. To put in perspective at our hotel snd some restaurants in area this would have cost closer to €140 with food being no better elsewhere possibly not as good elsewhere. There is also a bar and a cocktail bar apparently which are reviewed as very good but restaurant is quiet though busy. The decor is lovely and what I would describe as cute and pretty. I would 100% recommend this place. We will be back next year

5 Star Rating It’s in a drugstore shopping centre which is very odd location so you have to go in and the resteraunt is inside down some stairs Taste and quality of the craft is excellent. Service people are good interactive. This dinner bellow cost 300€. The dinner menus consist of 2 sets and rest À la carte with a page full of tasting items(small plates) then half a plate of starters and half a plate of mains. The quail stuffed with duck liver very very good and the strawberry desert, blown sugar to make the shape of the strawberry and the stem and I’m not sure what the seeds are made of though. And inside is strawberry sorbet, cookie on the bottom and strawberry’s surrounding it and then pistachio grains surrounding the plate.

5 Star Rating My husband and I love L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Étoile. We have eaten in various locations of this restaurant many times -Paris, London, New York, -and it never disappoints. We were sad when the location in New York closed during the pandemic and never reopened. The food at The Étoile Paris location is amazing. We ate at many Michelin starred restaurants while visiting Paris in May, and the food at L’atelier rivaled even the 3 star restaurants we dined in. The sole meunier was the best we had on the trip. As was the amazing white asparagus that many of the restaurants had since they were in season. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. Some people may not like the counter concept, but we have always loved being right there to watch the action in the open kitchen. We will definitely be back to L’atelier de Joel Robuchon Étoile. It’s definitely every bit deserving of its Michelin star and in our opinion deserves more.

2 Star Rating I have visited different L'Atelier locations and this one was disappointing. The location in Saint Germain was a completely different and much better experience. We went here on February 22,2026, to celebrate our anniversary. It is located below a few shops so you have to go downstairs to reach the restaurant and there are no tables, sitting is limited to countertop space. The decor is the classic Robuchon black/red so no surprises there. We went at 9pm and the place was rather empty, this should have given us a clue that this was not a popular location. We ordered both full menus, one vegetarian (110euro) and the other including meat options (220euro). We decided on these thinking we would get a culinary experience that would be special and tasty, however, for what we got and the quality of the dishes we should have eaten pretty much any where else in Paris and be better off. The dishes are notoriously small, so don't expect to come here and be full at the end of the course. We ended up filling up on the bread basket because we were hungry after the meal. The bread was ok, the butter was overly salted with large salt grains. But this was also a problem with some of the dishes - too much salt or not enough. There was not one dish that we would say, WOW, this is well made, inspired and with memorable flavor. The majority of the dishes were more about the visuals than the flavor and that is very sad. It reflects the entire experience, it is an illusion. The maitre'd is wonderful at selling the dishes and raising the expectations but when you actually taste them and they fall flat. It felt like it was a sales pitch to convince us the food was great, when it wasn't. I even let the maitre'd know the dishes were uninspired and disappointing, he was nice to let us know we could have something else. But they gave us another dish that was subpar so we decided to eat whatever and get it over with. The meal lasted 3 hours! There was no reason for this because the place was empty. The chefs were shooting the breeze, we saw a few eating and standing around chatting. Not sure why it had to take so long, the dishes were not complex and most were pre-made. This waiting was frustrating because it only made the experience worse, being hungry and waiting endlessly for little kibbles of food is not a good experience. Especially since we didn't know if at least the next dish would be good. We do not recommend this location. It is overpriced for what you get and the food is not up to the standards that Robuchon is known for.

2 Star Rating Very expensive, underwhelming lunch. Food was marginal with an average presentation. Bread and butter was sub-par (esp. for France). Short pour on wines by the glass. Service was basic and impersonal. room atmosphere felt sterile and had odd modern art bold ly depicting women. Altogether, a poor choice for our last meal in Paris. p.s. After reading the owner's response, we were shocked by their arrogant rudeness suggesting our standards are aligned with McDonald's!! I am trained in the culinary arts and have dined in many fine restaurants around the world. We are always happy to pay top dollar for quality food and service. This place was marginal at best, and their remarks are evidence of their unrefined character.

3 Star Rating We stopped by Cafe Lateral for a relaxed Parisian café-style meal, and overall the experience was pleasant enough, though not particularly memorable. Atmosphere-wise, it’s quite charming. We were seated inside a little glasshouse section of the restaurant, which I actually enjoyed. Sunlight was streaming through the glass, giving the space a warm, relaxed feel. It had that casual Paris café vibe that makes you slow down a bit and enjoy the moment. Food was a mixed bag. The French onion soup was good, comforting and flavourful, exactly what you hope for with a classic like that. The escargot tasted fine as well, though the portion felt quite small given the price, just half a dozen for what felt like a premium tag. The beef tartare was alright, but nothing special. Perfectly edible, just average at most. The creamy chicken with rice was decent and probably one of the more satisfying dishes we had. Simple, hearty, and straightforward. The pumpkin dish, however, didn’t quite land for me. It felt very one dimensional in flavour, lacking depth or contrast to make it interesting. Service-wise, there isn’t much to say. It was okay, very much what you’d expect from a typical Paris café. Not particularly warm or attentive, but not rude either. Overall, Cafe Lateral is a pleasant enough stop if you’re nearby and want a casual meal in a nice setting. It's a touristy area, just so you should know.
