Had a lovely lunch, this place has been around since 1912, so it's got that classic Parisian bistro charm but without feeling too stiff or fancy. It’s part of Alain Ducasse’s group now, so you know you’re in good hands food-wise.
I went for the set lunch menu (please take note that set menu may be changed from time to time), it was beautifully prepared, simple yet traditional French dishes done right. The flavors were rich but balanced, and the portions were just right, not too heavy.
The service was amazing, very attentive without being overbearing. I was looked after by a friendly lady who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. She explained the menu really well and checked in just the right amount. It’s those little touches that make a meal feel just nice.
At the end of the meal, they brought out some chocolate from their own factory, which was such a nice surprise. Rich, smooth, and just the perfect finish to a really satisfying lunch.
If you’re in Paris and want a relaxed but good French dining experience without the tourist-trap vibe, Benoit is a solid choice. It feels like stepping into a piece of history, but with warm service and food that totally holds up today.
Recommend for lunch, definitely worth a visit.

I will first start off by saying that the service here was fantastic and the wait staff were super friendly and very attentive!
I made reservations for the restaurant a couple weeks in advance, but when I came in at 7pm (opening time) I was seated right at the entranceway where patrons come in to check in for their reservations. I wondered if it was because I was a solo diner so it felt like I was an afterthought. So not only was it chilly whenever someone entered or exited the establishment, it felt awkward because my meal and dining experience was the first thing people saw when entering so it was a bit uncomfortable for me as I was getting some stares.
My food was actually just okay. I had the French onion soup which was good. I also had the beef ordered medium— however it came out (overcooked) medium well, and even though a sauce was poured onto it the meat still tasted bland and dry. For dessert I had little cream puffs that is dipped in a tasty chocolate sauce.
I’ve dined at many Michelin star restaurants across the USA, Portugal, and Spain and had wonderful, impressive experiences and meals at all of them. This experience was very much a let down. When dining at a Michelin restaurant, there was always that “wow factor” in the dishes and presentation, but that was not the case here. This experience felt like it was your average expensive restaurant. I would say that my favorite parts of the meal were the dessert as well as the bread (not the baguette— I felt like I almost chipped a tooth on how hard/stale it was).
Would I come back? Most likely not. There are a ton more options across Paris that I would prefer to try over a repeat experience here.

I had a wonderful dinner at Benoit. I was a solo diner. The staff made me feel very welcome. They helped with menu choices. The profiteroles were the best dessert ever! The staff packed what I could not finish to take home. They called a taxi for me to return to my hotel. I enjoyed my dinner & I plan to visit the NY location when I am there.

Good service (speaks English), good food with bistro feeling - we got the somehow affordable lunch menu with three dishes and payed around 90€ for two people.
We were very pleasantly surprised about the consistency of the food, I particularly liked the very cross crunchy fish skin of one of our main dishes and several small pieces of leek that were somehow just a pleasure to eat.
What we didn‘t like too much was that one of our spoons was dirty and also the table cloth didn’t seem too fresh, but those things happen. Also the tarte tatin as a dessert was good but felt behind compared the other dishes.

So welcoming to English speakers; the maitre’d was outstandingly friendly. Food was enjoyable, served in an elegant setting. Some very classic French dishes on offer.

Great place to get compose-it-yourself salad at the foot of the Tour St Jacques. Lots of ingredients to choose from to put on top of a self selected base.

You pick a base (variety of salads, baguette pizza or flatbread), then you pick your toppings. It's all kinds of things you'd expect at a salad bar. My salad was big and filling, and exactly how I wanted.

Dining here is a lovely Parisian experience service wonderful, food is fantastic. I had the cassoulette, a croc with yumny lentils, smoky sausages, served with hot Dijon mustard wow. The salad lyonaise was great, with crispy lardons, egg and blue cheese . It's really big. Maybe share with a friend. I highly recommend

Nice place for brunch. Took longer than expected to be served. I ordered scrambled eggs but was served fried eggs, and it then took a long time to receive the replacement. However, to give due credit, eggs were scrambled perfectly.

Really cool counter-culture bar/restaurant. Very Heavy Metal. Right up my alley!. It's in a sweet neighborhood right out of Le Marais. Service was good. Food was good but I loved the music and overall ambience. Would definitely recommend this place and go back with a group of friends.

Wonderful bar and restaurant with a metal music theme! The staff is absolutely charming and exceptionally accommodating! The food is phenomenal and highly recommend everything on the menu! Some of the best steaks we have had in France! Not to be missed!

If you like death metal, you have to eat dinner here or grab a beer here. In fact, everyone should.
I’m actually not a death metal fan but came as an open minded adventurous person. This place is the real deal and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING.
If this was a common jazz bar the line for the food would be wrapped around the street, and/or reservations would be booked out for months. It’s a secret gem in Paris.
Now, I have to say, it is still a secret because it is a *legit* death metal bar and restaurant. If you want to blend in wear all black and maybe spend a few months growing out a thick beard. (Pro tip: Grab a Shining t-shirt). It’s worth it!!
Meat was tender not fatty. The meat was imported from Argentina. The dipping sauce was flawless with the slightest hint of spice (not too much). The potatoes were the best, most potatoey, yellow potatoes I’ve ever had. There isn’t a near second I’m considering, I just know it was the best potatoes I’ve ever eaten in my life. The dish I ordered was called “the threesome” on the English menu.
I. am. stunned. Absolutely excellent.

I come to Black Dog since 2005 to enjoy great steaks 🥩 in a unique atmosphere. The lomo is simply fantastic, the potatoes are delicious, specifically combined with the plate of 6 sauces. I enjoy myself every time.
Generally I come here for celebrations. I had my first date with my wife here, celebrated birthdays, promotions, basically all milestones. I brought family, friends and coworkers. Black Dog and the delicious steaks have become synonymous with good times in my life.
I love the variety of people eating here. You can find everything from metal heads to families and business men in this restaurant. Everyone enjoying a great meal!
I can’t recommend this place enough. I will be back, order my lomo erectus and have a great time. Again and again 🙂

I been to this place three different times. Their happy hour is so affordable. Great drinks, great appetizers for best prices. Their green peppers, potatoes and paella were the best.

The paella was so dissappointing. It was served with a common plate instead of classical iron plate, and the paella was obviously already made for quite long as it was not hot at all. The taste is as same as the pealla I bought at Picard(frozen food chain store).
The tapas were ok. The only advantage is that this restaurant is open at the afternoon.

What a discovery! The food is fabulous (best tapas I've had), the service very friendly and efficient, the atmosphere very warm (we were there on a night without live music, but will return for another occasion). Excellent value for money as well.
A friend lost his phone, and the owner spent almost an hour helping us find it (it has slipped under the platform where we were eating), service way beyond what one could expect. Thank you! We'll be back.

Perfect friend’s recommendation to diner at La Robe et Le Palais. All choices were perfect, terrine, steak tartare, pork chop. Sommelier was very kind to recommend some wine options as well as some digestives to pair with our dessert.

Food was good ..oysters very good , ceviche was good w tasty sauce though somewhat oddly cut in larger pies than expected. Steak was good and perfectly medium rare..Presentation of food was nothing exceptional , but fine. Wine was fine and presentation by waiter was different offering tastings to determine our preferences from wines he paired with our food selections…admittedly we are not a discriminating wine customer . Atmosphere is a classic small rustic French restaurant w outside service. Our waitress was new (first service)but very nice and took care of us, asking for food prep and assistance about food details

A very high praise for a very good place. We were greeted, seated and served quickly for their set lunch menu. Their knowledge of wine was excellent and they enjoy picking the wine to your tastes. My preferred red was 3rd taste in, my partners was guessed first time.
Service was excellent, warm and inviting by all servers and excellent English speaking staff.

Impressive looking venue. Food was nice. Our experience could have been improved by better customer service. It was busy. We didn’t have to wait long for each course and the food looked and tasted nice. However, we were not offered bread like the other customers, it took 20 minutes to get lemon for a drink that was ordered from the start and then forgotten and we weren’t asked if we enjoyed our meal; they quickly brought the bill and we left. We did express the lack of good customer service to the receptionist who was visibly embarrassed that we had something negative to say about such an exquisite looking restaurant in a beautiful part of Paris.

Very attentive crew always with a smile!
We had to wait around 20min for our table but were welcomed to join a table at the bar on the 1st floor where barman Thomas surprised us with a Chambord Cosmopolitan.
After enjoying our drinks, we were nicely taken upstairs to the main room with a majestic glass ceiling overviewing Point Neuf and La Samaritaine. Alya was absolutely amazing and truly made our experience unforgettable.
Kong is definitely a must for a relaxed-chic dinner in the City of Lights.

I visited Le Paradis du Fruit at Les Halles with my mom, and while the atmosphere was quite busy and crowded, the food and drinks were genuinely good. It’s located in a convenient spot right by the Forum des Halles, which makes it easy to reach while exploring central Paris.
As a vegetarian, I found that the menu didn’t offer a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans, which was a little disappointing — but the few things I did order were delicious. I had fries (frites), Cajun-style green beans (haricots verts cajun), and my mom had chicken (poulet) — she really enjoyed it.
The highlight for me was the spicy mayo that came with the fries — super flavorful! My mom ordered a margarita, which she said was very strong and very good, and I got a mojito mocktail, which was refreshing and well-made.
If you’re looking for a casual bite with tasty sides and good cocktails in a central Paris location, this place delivers. Just be aware it can be a little hectic inside if you’re looking for something quiet or cozy.

Been long time wanted to try this restaurant. Finally I had nice dessert time with my good friend here last night at the Châtelet–Les Halles branch which is nice neighborhood to hangout.
We had shared dessert a huge poffertjes/ giant choux cream with banana, almonds and chocolate dressings.
Taste really good for share but I think will be too much if you have for yourself only.
And the frozen yogurt here really good and taste healthy.

I came here for dinner one night and had a wonderful experience. We had Marie as our server and she did a great job with our group. We started off with a mixed salad. Then we had two flavors, beef and ham. After, we moved on to dessert with a chocolate and then white chocolate raspberry. We also got unlimited food as well. The restaurant was nicely decorated. Definitely stop here for lunch or dinner.

Atmosphere and service is awsome. The waiter was very kind and helpful. The music is great, some points are not good to see the show but still I liked it.
I see people always complaining about the bouncer but who cares it works like that in any single bar, club and nightlife in Paris. At this point you should either give 1 star to Paris nightlife in general or already understand how the bouncer work. They usually look for the same things drunkenness, clothes, group number.
And last but not least, is very expensive I mean I am a student and I do not have the money to spent in such costly pints. A student discount would be appreciated.

Temple Rock Tavern – Where Music and Pints Collide
Some nights in Paris aren’t about sophistication or subtlety; they’re about letting loose, raising a glass, and enjoying life’s raw, unpolished pleasures. Our evening at the Temple Rock Tavern was one of those nights. Tucked into Rue des Lombards, this Irish-inspired pub delivered exactly what it promised: good beer, loud music, and an atmosphere where strangers feel like old friends.
We arrived just as the night’s band was taking the stage—a local group whose charisma matched their talent. Their energy filled the room, spilling over into the crowd, which seemed more than ready to play along. It’s worth noting that the success of an evening here relies heavily on the audience, and we were fortunate to share the space with a lively, welcoming group.
The beer selection was impressive, with something for everyone. I would personally recommend the Paix-Dieu, a strong and flavorful choice that fit the vibe of the night perfectly. But here’s where a note of caution comes in: the prices. Before the band starts, a round for four—including pints and draught beers—might cost you between €20 and €35. Once the music begins, however, the prices climb sharply to €35–€55. It’s a significant leap, and one worth planning around.
The service was friendly and efficient, despite the growing crowd. The bar staff handled the surge of orders with skill, and while the atmosphere grew raucous, it never felt chaotic. The wooden interiors, the dim lighting, and the long bar lent the space a timeless quality, making it easy to lose track of the hours as the music and conversation flowed.
Temple Rock Tavern is not about fine dining or hushed conversation—it’s about immersion. The music, the beer, the crowd—it’s all part of a single, unrelenting pulse that defines the place. Whether it’s the playlist, the band, or the people around you, every night here is shaped by the energy of the moment.
Rating: 4/5
A great spot for a fun, lively night out in Paris, the Temple Rock Tavern captures the spirit of an Irish pub with a Parisian twist. While the price hike during live music hours might sting, the overall experience is worth it—especially if you arrive early, grab a good beer, and let the night unfold.
