We had a very pleasant stay middle of July. We booked through Amex FHR and received an upgrade to a classic room with balcony which was well appointed and very comfortable. The room was very clean and the AC worked very well the bathroom was oversized and had plenty of amenities. I did feel the bathtub was very slippery though. Room service was fast and most of the items were very tasty. The club was a tranquil retreat with daily tea service as well as Happy hour and snacks throughout the day. The women who was in charge of the club was super pleasant and very helpful. Overall a great stay everyone was a pleasure to deal with and we had no issues during our stay.

This is an amazing hotel! To start, the building itself is beautiful - it feels very upscale and Parisian, the room was very spacious and it was awesome to have a balcony. The service inside the hotel was amazing. Staff were kind and professional, housekeeping came once in the morning and once in the evening for turn down service and went above and beyond to tidy up the room and make it comfortable. The location of the hotel was also excellent - so much nearby in terms of restaurants, shopping (galeries de Lafayette is a 4 min walk), and public transportation. Having the metro this close was a huge win for our trip. The only drawback was the restaurant Cafe de la Paix, which also extends into the food for room service. All of the menu items were very expensive and left a ton to be desired. The pricing would have been fine if the food was good! Overall I highly recommend this hotel, just make sure you plan your meals at the variety of other options in the area and other parts of Paris.

I originally booked and paid for a suite for two nights. However, due to an air-conditioning problem, I had to stay in the smallest room in the hotel instead of the suite I had paid for. I spoke directly with the manager and requested four nights in a Classic Room as compensation. He clearly agreed and confirmed that all four nights would be complimentary. However, I later discovered that I was only given two complimentary nights and was charged for the other two. Giving me two nights in a Classic Room in exchange for the two nights I paid for in a Suite is not compensation at all. I paid for a Suite and ended up staying in the smallest room because of the hotel’s air-conditioning issue. Calling two Classic Room nights “compensation” for two Suite nights makes absolutely no sense. I actually received accommodation of a lower value than what I originally paid for. The manager specifically agreed to four complimentary Classic Room nights. I relied on his confirmation, and I would not have stayed otherwise. If he failed to put a note in the system, that is the hotel’s internal mistake, not mine. Charging me for the additional two nights after the manager explicitly confirmed they were complimentary is completely unacceptable. I expect a full refund for those two nights and for the hotel to honor the agreement made by its manager. 07/09/2026: the the team reached me and was very helpful with the problem. Thank you..

UPDATE: Following my review, I was personally contacted the Area General Manager, whose thoughtful and elegant response I sincerely appreciated. While the original incident was genuinely disappointing, the way it was handled afterwards restored my confidence in Le Grand Hôtel. True luxury is not only about the setting, but about the culture of hospitality and the way a house responds when something goes wrong. Original feedback: Very disappointing experience at La Verrière (the café lounge inside the hotel lobby) after being a loyal customer since 2022. I was served around 4:10 PM and at 5:30 PM a friend joined me. Julian, a daytime waiter who appeared to be a senior member of staff, asked if my friend wanted anything. When he replied “not for the moment,” Julian told us that if we were not ordering more, we should leave the table because people were waiting ( other tables were free and there were no queue when he mentioned that) He then claimed I had been there since 3 PM, which was simply untrue. (Check out my screenshot) Being watched, timed and then asked to leave in front of my guest was extremely uncomfortable and certainly not the level of hospitality I expect from a luxury hotel. Special mention to Theo, who served me earlier and was excellent, warm and professional. Unfortunately, Julian’s attitude completely ruined the experience. La Verrière in the Intercon has been my favourite place in Paris for years and somewhere I have recommended to many people. After this experience, I would warn regular customers that the hospitality may not be what it used to be.

Had a wonderful three day stay at the Intercontinental Le Grand. The location is a major advantage as its very central, easy to explore on foot, and surrounded by great shops. The rooms are bright, although they do vary in size and some are on the smaller side, so if extra space is important, it’s worth considering an upgrade. The gym was small for a 5Star hotel but has everything you need for a good workout. The concierge team was very helpful throughout our stay and always responded quickly to any requests. The hotel’s famous high tea is definitely worth trying, and the breakfast buffet was extensive, with plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and healthy options. Overall, I would happily return.

I came on Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. I needed to queue about 5 minutes but then soon got a table for 5 people. The staffs were really nice and they spoke English quite well. I ordered an iced matcha latte. The interior decorations were really beautiful. A good place to take beautiful pictures.

We started with a seafood cold platter, which was fresh, well-balanced, and precisely composed. The escargots were prepared in classic style, rich in buttery garlic flavors with perfect texture. For the main course, the sole was outstanding—perfectly cooked, delicate, and clean in flavor, allowing the quality of the ingredient to stand out. The restaurant side was much quieter than the café side, which I appreciated, and service started off very well. However, once the room became only slightly busier, it felt less attentive and at times a little impatient, which surprised me for a restaurant at this level. The food was a mixed bag. The drinks were strong, the oysters were delicious, the foie gras was good, and the beef tournedos was excellent. The millefeuille was also a lovely dessert. But other dishes were underwhelming: the white asparagus was bland and unevenly cooked, the crab with lime lacked flavor, and the sea bass with crispy rice was disappointing. Our side of fries was also forgotten and only arrived after we reminded the staff, lukewarm. I’m glad I tried it, but for the price, I expected a more polished and consistent experience.

Café de la Paix is one of the most iconic cafés in Paris, and the location is absolutely stunning. The elegant interior and historic atmosphere make it a beautiful place to visit, especially if you want to experience a classic Parisian café. The service, however, was only average and didn't quite match the prestige of the venue. I tried a cake, a pain au chocolat, an espresso, and a drink. The beverages were good, and the espresso was enjoyable, but nothing particularly memorable. The pastries were extremely expensive and, in my opinion, not of the quality I expected for the price. That said, it's clear that a large part of what you're paying for is the incredible location and its history. Overall, it's worth visiting once for the atmosphere, but I believe the food and pastries could better match the reputation of the café.

We had dinner here yesterday (1st of July). The interior was so classic and nice. From the welcoming team to the second floor staff, everyone was so attentive. Service was quick. And food, omg, everything was soooo delicious. Oysters, French Sol, artichoke salad all amazing. But the most remarkable one was dessert part, and I hope we can have time to have one more of it before we leave Paris🤓 Sooo, please try it. Everything was fantastic! I had the Escargot, a glass of Beaujolais wine, and Duck Breast as a main course. They were absolutely delectable. Sébastien was my server and he was kind, friendly, and happy to offer recommendations when asked. He let me practice my French, but also did not make me feel bad for asking my more complex questions in English. I would absolutely return again.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Grand Café Capucines on 5/31/26 during lunch hour. We ordered oysters, mussels, and steak, and everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. The seafood was fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous.✨ What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff (I’m so sorry that forgot to ask her name) were attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our meal. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is elegant and lively, making it a great place to enjoy a classic Parisian dining experience. This is such a tourist trap but we were desperate bc we were hungry, tired and hot. Food wasn’t terrible, just ok. Service wasn’t terrible, just ok. We got seated right away, got fed and was able to use the toilet. It got the job done.

Overall, this was a less than average experience. The food was good, but the service really affected our visit. The 3 stars are only for our waiter’s attitude, he was fine. Unfortunately, the welcoming team was disappointing. They saw us several times sitting at the table and acted as if we weren’t there, which made us feel ignored. With better attention and hospitality at the entrance, the experience could be much improved.

We ordered 3 main dishes. The order was misplaced between the waiter and the kitchen and it took too long for them to realise it and fix it. When the food was finally brought to us my fondue steak came without fondue as it wasn’t longer available, instead they offered me to bring another sauce and I accepted, but again it took too long that they brought it at the time I was already done with the meat. My mum’s pave (meat) was supposed to be well-done, we had to asked for them to cook it properly again and the sauces “on the side” for the three of us were just brought to us with the last dish. Good to say it wasn’t a busy time when all this happened, so there was no rush to justify that service. Surprisingly, they charged me the fondue instead of amending my bill to the correct food I was served.

My experience at Hippopotamus Steakhouse in Paris was truly exceptional! From the very first moment, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lighting, décor, and even the people inside created a wonderful and inviting environment, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The food was outstanding — incredibly tasty, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried reflected high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. A special mention goes to the service, which was absolutely excellent and extremely attentive. The staff were polite, friendly, and genuinely eager to help with anything we needed, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It is clearly far superior to the corresponding location on 68 Bd du Montparnasse, both in terms of food quality and overall service and dining experience. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it!

We accidentally discovered Hippopotamus after having several disappointing restaurant experiences in Paris, and it became our favorite meal of the trip. I ordered the Haché L'Original on two consecutive days because I simply couldn't stop thinking about it. Months later, I'm still trying to recreate it at home! The beef had an incredible, authentic flavor that reminded me of my childhood, and the combination of buttery onions, rich cheese sauce, bacon, and a perfectly cooked egg was unforgettable. Sometimes the best compliment you can give a restaurant is wanting to cook its signature dish yourself. Thank you for one of my favorite food memories from Paris!

3 waiters for the whole restaurant is not enough. Not to blame the waiters who really did a great job but they were clearly overwhelmed - though very kind and sympathetic. So big thank you to them, but @managers: give them more support!!! Quick note on the food: excellent, 5-star, rarely had such a tender côte de boeuf! But (there is always a but): the ‘home’ bearnaise is not worth its name, sadly.

We had a wonderful experience. The staff were kind and accommodating and the food and drinks were exceptional! I love the interesting location of the restaurant. It is inside the courtyard between buildings which gives the vibe of being outside while being in a very private area.

I arrived during odd time, arriving after lunch and before the dinner service. They have tapas in between. The tapas and drinks were great. The setting in the courtyard area between the building was just amazing. The service was always friendly and professional but confused at times. Multiple times needed to ask for same thing after waiting a while. Food was very good for 4 stars, but not top notch to get the 5th. Definitely can have a very good meal here.

I personally have great respect for the Starbucks brand, although I do have one reservation regarding the coffee they serve. As someone who genuinely enjoys dark, bold coffee, I feel that Starbucks tends to focus heavily on blends and drinks with milk. I understand that this is part of their identity and that they have a large customer base who enjoy these recipes, but I would love to see them give more attention to customers who prefer their coffee black or as a straight espresso. Catering more to this group could certainly attract more coffee enthusiasts like myself and turn us into regular customers as well. As for this particular location, the interior is truly special. The classic design, elegant details, and historic atmosphere make it stand out from the typical Starbucks experience. However, there is one important issue that deserves attention: there is only one restroom available. Given how busy this location can get, this creates significant congestion and long waits. I believe this is something management should seriously consider addressing to improve the overall customer experience.

I happened to find this Starbucks by chance, and the interior was truly grand. As it is near the opera house, I wondered if that was the reason for such an impressive design, although I did not look into the history. Having a coffee and a piece of pastry, or even just a single cup of coffee, felt like enjoying tea in a five-star hotel. The lighting and tables created a stylish atmosphere, almost as if I were sitting in the library at the Musée d’Orsay reading a book or working on a computer. It made the whole place feel even more elegant. The staff were also attentive, regularly walking around and quickly clearing and cleaning tables after customers left. As with many Starbucks branches, there was a constant queue for the toilets, so they were not perfectly clean, but it almost seemed harder to maintain because the toilets looked even busier than the coffee counter. Compared with this branch, the first Starbucks that opened in London feels rather modest.

The food was really excellent! All the dishes felt very homely and authentic, and the chef was very flexible to prepare the dishes according to our taste buds and spice tolerance. The service was just as good! Steve was very warm to us and made sure all our dietary needs was also met as we are vegetarian. It is a family run restaurant that made it even more special. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars! We had a fantastic meal at Ghandi Jl's and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish was packed with authentic spices and wonderful flavors that kept us coming back for another bite. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. After many weeks of traveling, it was such a treat to enjoy a meal that was both comforting and memorable. From the first bite to the last, everything was excellent. If you're in the area and craving great Indian food, Ghandi Jl's is definitely worth a visit. We would happily dine here again!

This restaurant made me genuinely ask myself if italian cuisine is better than Asian’s. My conclusion is YES. The xiao long bao were astonishing, noodles, beans, meats were like a simphony in my mouth, not exaggerating. Highly suggest to visit

I liked the open kitchen where the lady was making dumplings. It seems that the restaurant is owned and operated by an elderly couple, who were very nice. We ordered various dishes. Among those, I liked the Yangzhou fried rice. The dumplings were not good; I just couldn't understand why they were sweet. The Sichuan spicy fried chicken was also not spicy, but sweet. We arrived one hour before closing time, so maybe they were tired and provided subpar dishes. At least, that’s what I want to believe.

Food was GREAT 👍. The owners are very friendly and nice. When we asked for the best route to the Effie tower, they help us and provided several different routes. Eat here and I’m pretty sure they (both food and service) won’t let you down! 😇 The plates are beautiful too! (Near the opera so you can come here easily )

We visit regularly for the xiao long bao, which are the best in Paris. The chef is always warm and welcoming. The rest of the dishes are fairly average.

Food was excellent, and the co-owner was the server who talked to us as they had just opened doors at 1900H. Loved the explanation of the food and the wine, ended up with us just getting the bottle after tasting. We were given tap water and bread with butter to start, and the food was delicious 😋 Would recommend this diner, quieter than those along the main road.

Loved the food here. Every single dish is of high quality. I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a french cuisine. The service is superb. There's not much variety for the main dish and dessert but we were quite satisfied with the food. The price is also reasonable. This restaurant truly worth the visit.

Cojean is my fave healthy cafe actually, but this branch ran out of many ingredients, drinks and food in the menu, so we cannot order what is in the menu, even simple babycino is not available. Pls equip your food and drinks materials / ingredients better. Thanks

Very chill place. Healthy and delicious options. Relaxed music and atmosphere. I was looking for a Starbucks to park myself in for a couple of hours but I'm so happy I ran into this cojean location instead.
