I wish I could give this stay ten stars!!
AmexTravel was the source of the booking and it did not disappoint! This is the BEST location in all of Paris and I have stayed in many areas. The staff at de la Reine went above and beyond to make me feel as though I was the ONLY guest on property and they were fully reserved. I was greeted with a warm smile every day and it just made my heart happy. Rudy helped my husband have a HUGE bouquet of peonies in my room upon arrival. Thank you to everyone I am sorry I do not have all their names but every single staff member was OUTSTANDING!

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location in Le Marais district with plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques within minutes from the hotel. We had requested a quiet room (far from the elevator) on an upper floor, but were not able to see our room upon arrival (11:30 AM) as it was not ready. Reception assured us that we would happy with the room and they would contact us when it was ready. When we returned after lunch, what a pleasant surprise to find out we had been upgraded to a junior suite, which was actually more like a real suite with a sitting room (couch, chairs, desk, TV, complimentary minibar) in a separate room with a door. The bedroom overlooked a courtyard filled with greenery which was so quiet you could leave the window open at night. The staff was abundant and super courteous. We will certainly stay there again on future visits.

My first time staying at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. My room was very comfortable, the staff is lovely and I enjoyed the breakfast and the complimentary drink at the bar. I left something behind in the room and they contacted me the next day. A service I was not expecting. I would definitely stay here again.

We specifically booked this hotel’s junior suite because we were a group of 3 and wanted each of us to have a 5 star experience. It was NOT a 5 star feel hotel!! Maybe 4 stars at best, but if you want 5 stars then go to the Four Seasons. The junior suite was up at the top in a slanted room which was probably an old attic, and no view. The couch bed my friend slept on was awful, an old thin mattress with a frame that was bent in half and impossible to sleep on. We complained about it twice and the first time they did nothing, the second time they rolled into another cot that looked just as uncomfortable. Anyway it’s a cute boutique lobby area and would be fine if there are only two people in a room. If you’re a group, go elsewhere. We paid a lot extra to stay in the junior suite but it was not worth it.

Definitely book a table ahead of time since it’s super viral. Walk-ins are allowed, but expect a long wait due to its popularity - or try going super early.
Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. Everything we ordered was so tasty, especially the duck breast and the entrecôte. On top of that, the restaurant is set on a gorgeous corner in a quiet neighborhood, offering a beautiful and authentic Parisian atmosphere.
Don't skip dessert—the classic mousse was incredible, perfectly airy and creamy. Recommended!
MV - a month ago
Visiting Paris for a weekend, Chez Janou was certainly on the top of my list of must-eats. They originally gained a lot of attention for their “famous” decadent chocolate mousse. If you plan on eating here I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation. You may have to make one a month or more in advance as well via their website. I was unable to snag one in time, but arrived right when they opened at 12pm and got a walk-in spot. Walk-ins are accepted, but there will most likely be a line when you arrive. We waited shortly before we were lucky enough to get a seat inside. Loved the inside of the restaurant and found it to be a fun vibe. Service was good and server did a good job checking in on us. My one issue was regarding their menu and nut allergies. Someone in my party had a more severe nut allergy. Our server wrote down all the menu items that were supposed to be safe and have no cross-contamination. My friend ordered the ribeye steak and unfortunately started having a reaction to the food. This prompted us to leave our meal early, missing out on the mousse. This was very frustrating and scary. I’m not sure where the communication went wrong, but our server did have a menu with all the listed allergens in the food.
Each table is given green olives when you’re seated, which are great to snack on. I ended up ordering the Magtet de cavard au romarin which was a duck breast with rosemary, served with potatoes. Food arrived within 10-15 minutes of ordering alongside a basket of French bread. My duck breast was great, full of tons of flavor, and cooked perfectly. I thought it seemed a little colder on the bottom side, but not concerningly so. The au jus to dip the duck meat in was absolutely amazing. It paired so well with the tender duck and really amplified the flavors of the dish. The potatoes that accompanied the duck were phenomenal. Cooked with olive oil, they were soft and just delicious. Not many complaints about my entree!
Overall, I thought Chex Janou delivered a lovely meal for me. As for my friend, not so much. Her allergic reaction was unexpected and her food did allegedly contain some sort of nut. This was very disappointing as it caused us to leave early and miss the famous chocolate mousse. So if you have nut allergies, be weary and really double check with the kitchen on what you can/can’t order. Otherwise, the meal was fabulous and I loved my duck breast. I will be returning my next trip to Paris as I have to try the mousse!

I see the hype!
Great food, great service, amazing vibe. I love how gorgeous the restaurant looks. The service is quick and so incredibly friendly.
Amazing duck! The potatoes with the duck - omg! The reduction sauce - meow meow baby!!
And of course, tried their famous mousse au chocolat - and yeah it is truly the best! They slap like it is shit but mama it is gold!
Artem Bakatov - 4 months ago
One of the better meals I had while in Paris. The duck breast was so out of the world and tender as well. Steak was really good too. Both came with good amount of potatoes. Reservation is highly recommended. Downside is the tables are quite small and fairly close to others but I think it’s a Paris style. Highly recommended!
Kah Wang Tan - a month ago
Chez Janou absolutely lives up to the hype and delivered one of the most flavorful and satisfying meals of our time in Paris.
We started with the ratatouille and freshly baked bread, both simple but incredibly well executed and full of depth. The duck steak with roasted potatoes was perfectly cooked—the duck tender with a beautifully crisp exterior, and the potatoes were exceptional in their own right. The gambas flambées with rice were a standout dish: rich, aromatic, and genuinely memorable.
For dessert, the chocolate mousse paired with strawberry soup was a highlight and a unique combination that worked surprisingly well together—the richness of the mousse balanced beautifully by the freshness of the strawberries.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout, and the restaurant has a lively, bustling atmosphere filled with both locals and visitors, giving it a classic Parisian energy.
Reservations are highly recommended as it books out quickly, though occasional cancellations can be found if you’re flexible.
A truly excellent bistro experience with consistently strong dishes across the menu.

Great place, kind smiling people.
Prices are perfect! Totally not expensive, especially not considering this is in the middle of Paris!
Like all Cuban places, very lively!
The live band was really great, we enjoyed celebrating our birthday here.

A lively Cuban restaurant with plenty of character and a great atmosphere. The food is hearty and full of flavour, with well-seasoned rice dishes and properly grilled meats. Portions are generous and fairly priced for the area. It can get busy later in the evening, but the service remains attentive and efficient. A solid choice if you’re after something vibrant and a bit different from the usual Parisian fare.

One of the best Italian restaurants. The kindest staff and the cuisine is simply spectacular. A fabulous, well priced wine list too! Definitely make a reservation for every table is packed and the atmosphere is amazingly fun, it's hard to leave. Bravo! A presto, ci vediamo!

Delicious Italian food, very welcoming and friendly staff, not expensive. We did not have a reservation and were seated immediately. We two split pasta with large shrimps and porcini mushroom sauce, plus a small salad. Amazingly delicious. Small place and full of Parisians. Delightful. Will go back for more!

The pizza at this restaurant was excellent - the crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.
The Caprese salad was also delicious, with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. Finally, the gnocchi was melt-in-your-mouth tender and had a rich, savory sauce that was perfectly balanced. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for tasty Italian food.
Amazing Panna Cotta!!!
One downfall is that they do not take Amex (American Express).

Late night. Hungry. So we stopped in off street without reservations. We were seated immediately!
Prompt service. Food was good. Not stellar, but it hit the spot.
Highlight was the Dolcetto. Very good and good price.
Rocket salad also good.
Contemplating dessert as I write this.

Stumbled upon this place as I was strolling through the Saturday flea market. Instantly loved it because of the vibes and music that they were playing. Came here for a light lunch and was absolutely delighted.
My friend and I both ordered lemonade. She got the mint and I got the lavender one. Both were delicious. The lavender one was more sweet and the mint one was more sour.
We also ordered a half order of the roasted vegetables with feta. It was a 10 out of a 10 so yummy.
And then we both split the small artichoke pizza with arugula on top. Also a 10 out of 10.
The pizza was so good. It was thin crust not soggy. The flavors were so delicious. We honestly loved everything we ate highly recommend.

Been here many times in the last 3.5 years, in the meanwhile I have tried dozens of pizza places, mainly in Italy. This is by far the best pizza in Paris and would be top notch also in Italy. Great crispy but not too thin dough, excellent ingredients and cool atmosphere. I won't forget the Diva, grazie!

A massive grazie mille to Grazie in Paris!
We were absolutely starving and decided to just pop into this spot, and what a fantastic decision it turned out to be. The food was nothing short of amazing. Seriously, this pizza felt like we were instantly transported to Naples, Italy—the crust, the fresh toppings (that Margherita/Caprese-style slice with the cherry tomatoes and basil in the picture was perfection), it all hit the spot!
And can we talk about the bathrooms? Such a unique vibe! The disco balls and music were a fun, unexpected touch that added to the whole experience.
If we're ever back in Paris, we will definitely return, and we wholeheartedly recommend Grazie to anyone in the area looking for authentic, incredible Italian food with a cool atmosphere. Five stars!

Had the best lunch here! Excellent service, food was outstanding, and the picante oil can’t be beat! We had the prosciutto e bufala which was excellent, and one of the pizza specials which was called pizza chic with shaved cured pork, rosemary and arugula—also excellent. Our daughter had the margherita and loved it. Highly recommend getting the picante oil to drizzle on top! Just the right amount of heat!

A really pleasant surprise!
We found this lovely restaurant by chance whilst wondering around the street of Paris…
the atmosphere was cozy and warm, impeccable service and most importantly delicious food and well presented. We had a really enjoyable dinner, the onion soup rich in flavours and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection!
I would definitely recommend and revisit this small restaurant!

Our favorite restaurant during our stay in Paris! We were fortunate enough to find this special French restaurant on our first day in Paris, and we went back 3 days later and had the same awesome food and wonderful hospitality
The duck breast and 7-hour lamb were our favorites initially, but the cod was also wonderful on the second visit!
Service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. The restaurant is quite small so reservations are advised.
You won’t be disappointed!

It’s a cozy little gem of a place. The staff are friendly and more than happy to recommend the perfect food and drink pairings.
We ordered the Rossini steak (steak with foie gras) and the lamb stew, accompanied by some red wine. Every dish was delicious, but the foie gras was the standout—incredibly fresh and tender.

We went to Langer 20 in Paris last night with friends and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with great attention to detail — compliments to the chefs for such an outstanding menu. The service was also excellent: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The drinks were just as impressive, especially the red wine, which was truly outstanding and the perfect match for the meal. It was a fantastic night all around, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience in Paris.

Wow, the food here is spectacular, cooked and served with pride, and love. I know it has high reviews but it was not popping up in my (tourist) search (which the locals must appreciate). Yes, make a reservation online, believe me, it is easy. The food is delicious (meat just fell apart so tender) and although we only tried 4 items, I will put myself on the line and say, delicious probably applies to everything. Their menu is small, but super well curated. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, great all. We even tried a lovely local La Parisienne Brewery Pale Ale, at their suggestion, the only beer on tap, so well chosen. Yum. We also found the wine list well populated with things we needed to taste as well. The red blend we ordered from Rooy in the Pecharmant region was impressive. Because this restaurant did not pop up in my search as quickly as I thought it should, I guess I consider this a hidden gem. Hopefully it’s no longer no longer a hidden choice in your search. Highly recommend.

It's a wonderful place to hang out with friends and enjoy delicious tapas and paella. The paella portion was really huge; it was meant for two portions, but we couldn't finish it all. It was one of the best paellas I've ever had. They have a really delicious cocktail list, and I especially enjoyed one called the Valencia. It's very refreshing and tasty. All the staff were very nice and friendly, and the restaurant was packed with people, even on Sunday. I had a great time there. I would definitely come back!

Last year we had a Beef Bourguignon dish at Café Joséphine in Paris and tried replicating it at home. This year we searched online for the restaurant with the best Beef Bourguignon in Paris. This was one of the recommended ones. The dish my wife and had was disappointing with a flavor and tenderness that was no where near as good as what we had last year or what we made at home. We had such high expectations. The service we received however, was quite good and we hoped the food would measure up as well. Next time we will try another recommended restaurant for Beef Bourguignon.

Based upon recommendations from Les Frenchies YouTube video, we decided to try Cafe des Musees. It certainly didn’t disappoint! We had the snails in mushrooms (delicious!), Beef Bourguignon (true comfort food!) and desserts. It was a great evening and we can’t wait to come back with friends!
Leslie Oxford High - 8 months ago
On our last night in Paris we realized we never had beef bourguignon. After a bit of searching we found Cafe des Musees and booked a 715pm table for 5. The restaurant is wonderful, crowded, close tables, just as a classic French cafe should be. We started with snails in a butter sauce served in mushrooms, delicious. And the main dish did not disappoint. The presentation of the dish in a small iron pot, with beautiful whipped mashed potatoes on the plate was perfect. Others in our party enjoyed filet of beef tenderloin. We shared chocolate lava style cake, selection of sorbets, and a pear tart for dessert. Excellent meal!

The beef bourguignon was excellent, but the bread really stole the show. My partner had the escargot in mushrooms and we shared a special plate of fried shrimp with carrot puree that was very tasty. Would come back!

Best dinner we had in Paris. Each dish was as beautiful as it was delicious. The five course menu really included 12-14 different dishes/bites.

Exexutive Mexican chef but grew up with a Jap family and educated in French cuisine. Loved the philosophy and creative gustatory delight to our senses. Every dish was sensationally well thought to balance between umami flavours abit of the land abit of the sea but still fully French. The amalgation of cultures and hint of flavours in everything from lemongrass butter feels familiar; nostalgia of asia but yet new world yet not lost in translation a voyage for ones tongue and scent. Will highly recommend this place symphony and perfect harmony!
Thomas gave excellent service and love it that executive chef David Salgado Armienta came to each table to ask how was everything and gave us enough air time and was patient to answer all our questions! Très bien!

Qui plume la lune was my first experience in a Michelin Star restaurant, and what a memorable experience it was.
Food:
We had a three course lunch, and every dish had something completely new that I hadn't tried before, be it an ingredient itself or the combination of it. Especially, the dessert was phenominal as well as the plating. However, the coffee we ordered for dessert wasn't great. It tasted fairly burnt and bitter. Doesn't take away anything from the good experience overall, but I would expect a better coffee in such a place.
We paid 70€ per person, and it was absolutely worth it. Certainly, it is a culinary experience that's worth saving money for or to have on your bucket list.
Service & ambient:
The service was impeccable throughout the lunch. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and incredibly attentive. The restaurant is fairly small and gives you a very private and cozy feel. The interior is on the darker side but with a good amount of light and colorful spots of bright colors, which give it a great contrast.

Absolutely delicious. The food had excellent flavors and fresh tastes. The staff is incredibly friendly. I saw that there was a person who gave the restaurant 1 star because they didn’t allow bathroom access to a non customer. Whoever you are, shame on you. There are restaurants that gain their livelihood on whether they get good reviews or not. Thanks again, for the great meal. Would recommend 10/10.
