5 Star Rating The cozy atmosphere and wonderful service made this dining experience a true highlight to our trip. The food was delicious and fresh. It was a hearty, homemade French meal. My husband had baked fish and I had a ratatouille quiche. This did not feel like a space where many tourists visit. It was a wonderful find for us and gave us a chance to experience French cuisine not too far from our hotel. The server and chef were gracious. It is a place we hope to return to someday.

4 Star Rating Agree with other reviews-a cozy spot sans tourists. Garlicky onion soup, house made bread, salad and a glass of wine sitting by the windows and the heater was a perfect lunch after an hour wait to enter Ste. Chapelle and walking around the just reopened Notre Dame. The server was very pleasant and wanted to get our order in “before the chef flies away.”

5 Star Rating Dropped by this quaint place during our son’s birthday. We were all tired from walking around the whole day, but there server really made us feel welcome, traditional French cuisine which was fantastic. They even gave us free slices of cake to celebrate our son’s birthday. Came back the next day to have more food and dessert :)

5 Star Rating needed a warm place to retreat from the cold after visiting Shakespeare & Co. and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. had tea while waiting for dinner service which only starts at 7pm. they have wifi if you need it. it's a beautiful, elegant and quaint space. i love that it's dimly lit, gives you a very 80s-restaurant -n french-movies ambience, along with the framed artwork and shelved books. ordered croquettes de camembert (most divine), daube de bœuf (which comes with tagliatelle) and the salad that comes with cheese. they were all delicious. the waitstaff were warm and friendly.

5 Star Rating I highly recommend the slow-cooked beef Paleron de Bœuf 6H for its incredible tenderness. The sauce pairs perfectly with smashed potatoes, the sauce alone might taste a bit salty (without potatoes). Their homemade bread was also excellent—dense yet light and to top it off the service was splendid.

5 Star Rating Andreea is probably the kindest French person we have ever met, which is lucky since it is very hard to find a friendly person in France. The atmosphere is very nice. The food could be more aromatic, but we went as a group of 5, ordered 4, and they opened the service for the 5th person without us asking. These are small but important details.

4 Star Rating This restaurant is an institution that’s true, hence I was keen for a girlfriend’s lunch for two. However as time progresses service can fade a little here, unless they know you. I Was back here in this area of Cluny after a while and was taken aback by the manager Malik who truly complained about why I won’t give his restaurant a great rating. The reason being I want to be true to my reviews and here the food and service is average seriously. The mussels moules were without any taste..and the fries not made fresh. I hope when back I get to eat a really fresh meal malik. Merci à la prochaine

4 Star Rating Le Balzar came highly recommended, and understandably so, it's a fine establishment with a long history. The Handsomely-mustachioed Mâitre d' was cordial and welcoming. Service was prompt. I quite enjoyed my escargots, and my wife enjoyed the House Foie gras, the cocktail menu leaves something to be desired, I should perhaps have had a wine pairing recommended, our table neighbors seemed quite pleased with the aperol spritz however. The Moulles were tasty, but we're not of an especially high quality or unique preparation, go in with tempered expectations and you'll be satisfied.

4 Star Rating Customer service was excellent. Warm and friendly. Waiters were attentive and pleasant. Nice deco, clean resto. The food was good, but to be honest, it’s not the best Indian food that I have. A little bit bland compared to some other restaurants I have been but, still very flavorful because Indian food is naturally quite flavorful, so the curry sauces were just a tad less what I was expecting. The soup in the entrée was quite delicious. I was expecting the samosas to be a little better, but hey, I still ate them because they weren’t bad. They served us some nice cumin crackers (not on the menu, included in the service, so no additional charge) with some sauces, which included pepper sauce. I think it would be a good idea to leave these sauces on the table during the main course, for guests who wish to add some to their dish. 19euros for a 3 course meal (reasonable price for that area). Just wish we had a few more choices in that formula. Overall it was a nice experience.

2 Star Rating We came to the restaurant for a late dinner around 10 PM. The place operates as a piano bar, with a live pianist and a singer who moves around the restaurant and performs near the tables. While this concept might appeal to some, it may not suit everyone – especially when the singer approaches your table while you're in the middle of chewing your food. We ordered two burgers and a steak. Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing. The burgers were dry, served in equally dry buns, and lacked flavor. The steak, although requested medium, arrived lukewarm and overcooked to well-done. Overall, while the atmosphere may appeal to fans of live music and performance dining, the food did not meet expectations. It’s a place that might work for the experience, but not necessarily for the meal itself.

5 Star Rating Loved the music; it was like a fun sing a long, even if you didn't know all the words to the French songs 😁 It was very joyful. We sat at the bar as it was a busy Friday night, but that gave us the opportunity to chat with the lovely bartender (Alexei?), who was friendly and accommodating. St Germain spritz and chips for the win!

5 Star Rating Amazing food and great service. Good selection of wines as well. Japanese and French cooking merged into an Amazon omakase experience. High quality produce and sustainably used as well. Now while the attention to detail is fantastic and flavors are really good, I have to state that the portion size is on the smaller side. All tasting menus are of course smaller but this menu felt a lot smaller - get the mains (fish and venison) to be portioned bigger, something the team should work to improve.

From the incredible ingredients, the interactive communication with the incredible staff where you had to guess the ingredients of each dish to the charming custom of removing your shoes and slipping into slippers, just like in Japan, every detail enhanced the authenticity and beauty of the experience. 5 Star Rating Truly exceptional. The chef's concept was a welcome surprise, different from many Michelin star restaurants. The menu is seasonal of course and the overall experience is worth writing about. The wine pairing was well worth it, varying between wine and sake. We left thoroughly amused, satiated without being overly full, and only a little bit tipsy. We sat in the mineral lounge, which I preferred. Highly recommend.

5 Star Rating We dined at Sola on the last night of our stay in Paris, and it was the best meal of our entire trip! The omakase menu in the cave was an incredible sensory experience from start to finish. The menu is expertly crafted, filled with countless surprises and moments. Without giving too much away, each course was served without a description - and after finishing the course, the staff come to discuss it with you personally. This was our favorite part of the meal (besides how delicious the food was)! The staff are top notch, with visible excitement for every aspect of the dining experience. They made every bite into a fun journey for my wife and I. We highly recommend Sola and can't wait to eat here again (and again).

5 Star Rating We came to Monk for a late dinner and since it was pouring rain outside we decided to take a table deep inside the restaurant. From our table we could see the water running down the cobblestone street and hear the thunders but we were warm and protected from the wind and cold. We had the hamburger without the cheese and beef tab with French fries. Both portions were big enough to satisfy the strong appetite. The beef was very tender and juicy. It was served with a tiny dish with caramelized onions and a small garden salad. The service was quick and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The prices are reasonable too. It was interesting to hear Freddy Mercury, Queens, The Weekend and Ariana Grande as a background music in France. We also ordered a warm chocolate dessert with a vanilla ice cream, but couldn’t finish it. It was very good, only we overestimated our abilities. 😊 We had our very late dinner and when we left around 11:00 pm and there were still people in the restaurant. I definitely recommend you to try this place.

5 Star Rating What a pain it is having so many delicious options to choose from! Even my non-vegan dad said it was good—he had the blue cheeseburger and an apple pie, both of which he enjoyed. I ordered the L'assiette berbère to try something different and absolutely loved the seitan and the burger. The tofu, though, didn’t have much flavour. It was a big enough portion for half of it to be enough, especially for its high price. I’d love to come back and try more from their unique menu. The service was super friendly too!

Outside the restaurant looks ordinary, does not look grandeur but don't judge the book by its cover as they say,you have to try and dine. Staff are friendly, professionals and most of all the foods are sumptuous down to desserts too! Definitely recommended if you are going to be in central Paris. I had a fantastic and unforgettable dinner with family (7 of us with a child) and they love the food. My nephew,Carl search this place and It was worthwhile trip to the restaurant. Tip: in the picture was the wine they offered and it tasted so good we had 2 bottles! and the price was affordable. It tastes slightly sweet white wine so if you are not into sweet, dry white wine then it's not for you. I had steak and it went well, too.
