The food here is amazing. Compared to other popular spots I was blown away by the food. The drinks are strong and not watered down. I had the ribs and I was speechless. The dessert wasn’t that sweet which I felt was a good thing. The sushi rolls divine. I would highly recommend this place. My one grip is being asked to leave a tip. This is Paris, the tip is included in the bill.

Every time I go to the Buddha Bar, no matter where in the world, I'm satisfied. This time I went to Paris, not for the first time, this time for a birthday. It was magnificent, from the very professional welcome to the kindness of the waiters. The food is top-notch and the atmosphere is great. All in all, it was a good experience, not to change anything.

One of the most beautiful and instagram-worthy restaurants I have been to in Paris.
The atmosphere was a perfect 100/10, the service was excellent and while the food was expensive, it was definitely worth it.
Highly recommended.

A Saturday night in Paris and the 5-course tasting menu for two with a bottle of wine. French fine dining at its best with all the classical touches - a good excuse to dress up and drink fancy wine. Remembered for dishes I don’t normally enjoy but loved. Masterful use of mushrooms, beetroot and asparagus. Perfectly cooked mains, craft and technique everywhere. The ambiance was a little quieter and the service a little colder than we are used to.
Michael Boszko - 2 months ago
I had the five-course with wine paring. The sommelier’s selection of the food and wine pairing was deliberated. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and flavourful. The asparagus was my favorite! Nice combination with ice cream.

We were transported into the old world luxury.
Delicious food but slightly bland for my Asian palette. Our waitress,Savannah took care of us really well and made us feel like family.
Be prepared to be pampered there for 5 hours if you select the 7 courses with wine pairing.
Ling Tsang - a year ago
I would need to give it 4.1 star.
We did have the cheaper menu at 150 euro if you are less than 35 years old with champagne and 2 wines.
For the price we had a great dinner.
The place has so much history and you can feel it, the service is very good quality overall, finished plates where sometimes left on the table along with crumbs till the main waiter took them off.
The food was very nice and tasted good overall especially for this unique menu, however I was expecting more from 1 Michelin star.
The small hors d’œuvres where very creative and we felt impressed and where very taken away. Especially with the artichoke chips, very creative with new thecniques never seen before
Then the bun with smoked cream and different textures of tomato was creative, however just boring, you get a bun then home made bread, it didn’t feel special.
We followed with Tuna and beet sorbet, it was a great palette cleaner, the taste was great and our daughter loved it. However there wasn’t a wow factor, that we can normally find for such amazing product.
Next was the scallop, the taste was good and plating was fun, the scallop éclaté was a new experience however the flavours where okay together but yet again missing harmony, the brown sauce tasted good but didn’t look appealing with the plate, the purée was chunky I guess the chef wanted it that way but I felt it didn’t add anything a purée more smooth would have been better.
The chicken cooked sous vide with a caramlized top with an excellent crumble a creative sabayon served on the side was fun, the fennel was nice but a bit boring, could have been worked in more detail then randomly they came with chicken legs and a roasted chicken consumé this was a very fun touch and we appreciated it very much.
The green apple and celery was great and refreshing , the powder all over the bowl was playful and creative.
The chocolate dessert and calamansi was missing a bit of balance and I didn’t feel like they went together, however this is very personal. Very hard work went into the dish and was very beautiful.
Mignardises were beautiful and overall good.
The champagne was excellent quality and very good, white wine was just okay, their red wine was really excellent! Overall very happy with the pairing.
The service and staff where very good, they brought out plates at the same took the time to serve every plate at the same time, there was a nice flow. However the feel was very robotic and was missing a friendly feel.
Only after asking did we find out the history of the building and the restaurant Lucas Carton, we would have loved a bit more of the story behind this beautiful restaurant and have a more
Human relationship with the staff.
However the service was excellent and well executed. The cutlery and the fineness of the architecture was amazing! Another table got a cheese plate and the cheese cart looked amazing. All these details do explain the Michelin star. Maybe my expectations where very elevated with that title and we did have the cheaper menu.
However I was just missing some wow factors and a sense of warmth that I was expecting in a Michelin start restaurant.
But for the price we paid it was a very nice experience we really appreciated going.

Very well located in Madeleine area, this Michelin star restaurant offers one of the best gastronomic experience in Paris! As one of the oldest restaurant of the city, Lucas Carton has a beautiful interior. The food is simply delicious with the chef offering some creative takes on French dishes and the selection of wine is very comprehensive. The service is welcoming and very nice too! It's definitely one of my favorite restaurant so far 👌👍😊

This is a very popular place and for good reason. You definitely need to make reservations a few weeks in advance and then you need to be flexible with the time. It is full every day for lunch and dinner. They turn scores away each day. The deco is a simple, but the food is very good and oh the souffles! A wide sections of both sweet and savory. This is a place to come sit, eat slowing and enjoy the food. Get the prix fixe menu for lunch (50 to 70 euros) and relax. The staff is friendly and professional. This is not fast food! Nor a place for you to customize. It is not a big place, not for large groups or unruly kids. There are both tourists and locals having a very social lunch. BTW this is Paris, sport shorts, flip flops and halter tops are not appropriate for dining.

What a treat! Le Soufflé was everything we'd hoped. Reservation availability for this limited-seat venue changes; check back if the reservation you want isn't initially available.
In our excitement to try many things, our party of three over ordered, but we enjoyed every bite. A party of two could easily share a couple of soufflés or order an entrée each and share a dessert and be satisfied. The prix fixe menus are another great option to share a few dishes. I'm guessing the ramekins for the full-size soufflés (savory and sweet) are about 15cm and the petit soufflés are about 10cm.
Favorites from our order were the millefeuille, the soufflé bœuf bourguignon, and the soufflé pistache. Our order also included the petit soufflé tomate, the soufflé Henri IV, the soufflé framboise, and the soufflé chocolat. We would order any and all of them again.
The service was impeccable, the food delicious, and the atmosphere a delight. I recommend Le Soufflé wholeheartedly.

Must have if you want soufflé. Small intimate traditional french specialty in the best soufflé! Great service and not always need reservations when not busy, we were able to find a table for 2 at peak lunch time during the week in April☺️

This was the best meal I've had in a long time. The souffle - both savory and sweet - were incredible. I can't stop thinking about it. The service was friendly, patient, kind. The food was beyond anything I could imagine. I dined alone and had the ham and cheese souffle, and then the pistachio chocolate souffle. Both were beyond perfection. The price was so reasonable. I'm booking my next trip to Paris and bringing my family expressly to enjoy this meal again, with them. I hope to celebrate a big occasion there and enjoy the window table next time :).
Jennie Magiera - a month ago
I've never eaten a souffle before, so I'm rather unqualified to rate the food. However, I did find them fun and quite delicious! They are a foamy, airy texture, with a subtle flavor. They seem to usually come with a sauce to pour on top to add another dimension. I could smell the raspberry rhubarb souffle before they even brought it to my table; It was by far the best part of the meal. I wish there was more room around the tables. They were packed very tightly, making it difficult to navigate or sit.

The food is average, coffee is good. The toilet room was dirty, no soap, no paper, but it’s not a cheap place)))
The cafe is located in a quiet street, among boutiques. At lunchtime they will let you in if you will eat. prices are high, service is ok

It's not cheap, but you're eating in a café in Paris in the stylish pedestrian street that has boutiques from Chanel and Dior, so just enjoy. Food was pretty good, the steak tartare offered better value than the petit filet, which lived up to its billing. Chips and salad good. Service was efficient.

Awesome place with great food and pretty much the only place with good service we experienced in 3 days in paris. Chich and trendy decor, nested in a cute arcade between the Dior and Chanel store, Well thought out and presented dishes, encompassing a range of tastes and flavours from around the world. They were also very accommodating with our 4 year old and made a dish for her that wasn't on the menu. Not cheap but it is what it is.
Shane Affridi - a year ago
Place is nice but the food was terrible and expensive, 12€ for a plate of scrambled eggs that appeared to be soup with a small bread that was hard as a rock, the coffee was worst than instant coffee and it came from a machine not from an espresso machine which for 8€ is a scam.
The service is ok, nothing surprising just regular Paris service.
The place is in a nice spot but definitely not worth the price, you pay top money and get low quality.

We were impressed with the decor at Maxim’s. We found it comfortable with a classic elegance. The food was also very good with a wide variety of offerings on the menu. The service was good, friendly and attentive. We also very much enjoyed the live jazz and vocals during our meal. The music was entertaining without being too loud.

I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it would be very touristy but the service was very good. the prices are high but within the range for other restaurants with the same sort of menu. The atmosphere was very good. The entertainment which changed throughout the evening , four example a guitarist a saxophonist, and 2 female singers. The volume was reasonable although I would have liked it even a little softer. Overall it was a very good experience.

An atmospheric restaurant with a unique interior — every corner is worth exploring. Much more charming and refined than many trendy spots in Paris.
Live music, a festive vibe, and well-dressed guests celebrating special occasions. Friendly staff and a solid menu.
I’ll definitely be coming back and happily recommending it.

I was a bit skeptical as I always thought it would be too touristy. Well I am glad to say I was wrong - food was extremely good, service was good (for French standards), and the place is absolutely gorgeous. Live jazz music, good drinks, nicely dressed people.
It has become a new “must” for me whenever in Paris :)

This was our second visit back to Chez Monsieur. And it was just as awesome as we remembered it.
Get everything they recommend. It was amazing. I dream of the Veal Stew. Spectacular! So tender and creamy and unexpected.
The cheese raviolis with green peas as garnish was also exquisite. The green peas popped in our mouths.
Our favorite restaurant by far in Paris!

Was charmed by Chez Monsieur. It’s a traditional French restaurant close to the hotel where we stayed (Burgundy, also recommend). We ordered fish and steak with (delicious) mashed potato. Crème Brûlée for pudding. Excellent, well priced red wine. The service was prompt and friendly, and I can’t believe they ever serve a bad meal. Merci!

The service was superb by the waiter and the waitress. The little taster provided was really nice and presented perfectly.
I had the snails and the blanquet de veau. The snails as you can see by my photo were huge. Like you'd see on old fossils on nature programmes. The garlic sauce was fantastic.
For main the veal stew was sublime. Lots of it with the copper pot it served in. The veal was tender, the potatoes lovely and soft. The bacon added saltiness to it to make the cream sauce taste amazing. So a great dish. This was recommended by Fred Siriex on twitter a few days prior and he was correct. Superb.
For dessert had tje crepes suzette. Maybe it was a personal opinion but i disliked this. The sauce was horrific but may be due to my own taste. The crepes were tough in parts to cut so even if had a different sauce I'd still give it a bad review.
The salad starter my partner had looked awful and she said it wasn't great, and her main dish the gnocchi she said was only ok. I think she chose poor so my review is based upon my own dishes.
The chablis wine was very nice.
Overall decent in parts so 3.5 out of 5

We wanted to eat some traditional french dishes, and Chez Monsieur was not far from where we stayed, so we went there for a lunch and it turned out to be the best choice we could have made! We ordered escargot, foie gras, blanquette de veau and bœuf bourgignon. Everything was beyond excellent! Our waitress was very kind and attentive. All in all it was one of the highlight of our trip. I will return for sure!

We come to Paris for New Year's every year, and this restaurant is one of my favorite spots to visit. When ownership changed they went through a rocky transition and we were a bit skeptical with the new food and service, however; we came back this year and they were absolutely outstanding. From the food, to the service and ambiance, they have brought back their quality and Parisian charm we have always loved; and they have outdone themselves. Their beef bourguignon is to die for and the duck confit is delicious, and you cannot leave without having an Irish or French coffee, it is a must!. They were also very accomodating with a bigger table when our friends arrived and decided to join us for dinner, although they had no reservation and the restaurant was packed. I am already looking forward to coming back again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

High-end french bistró perfectly located. Great atmosphere and music, excellent attention from the staff.
Onion soup superb, fries as well, dessert amazingly delicious, really a must. If I had to recommend something to improve would be the amount of salmon in the salad, because they cost around 25€ and the protein should be more to justify the price.
