It is a very fancy restaurant and I would recommend wearing fancy clothes. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. I recommend eating the green curry because it is really really good.

Buddha Bar Paris provided an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was absolutely stunning with its captivating decor, and visiting on Valentine’s Day was a perfect choice. The food was delightful, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere exuded romance with roses adorning every corner, making it a truly breathtaking experience.

What a cool place! The decor is stunning, the staff is super friendly. Be aware of the dress code. You don’t want to be turned away for not dressing for the occasion. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Everything was delicious! We started with a cucumber and salmon delight, and oursin course was a box of different sushi, which was incredible. Every bite was a delight! I had a dessert that was like a Kit Kat bar, with a crunchy layer with chocolate on top. The ambiance was amazing. Highly recommend.

I should have read reviews before I booked this place, but it reminded me of Tao in NYC, which we love, so I went ahead with a resi for 9pm on a Saturday. Met at the front door by 3 very large bouncers, felt like we were entering a club more than a restaurant, a little intimidating for my liking. We were 1/2 hour late but hostess was very accommodating and understanding, but we did have to wait 45 minutes thereafter for a table, as this place is extremely busy. They do have available cocktails and tables to wait at if you have to.
The restaurant ambiance is a mix of very energetic and loud DJ music, ornate decorations of flowers and statues (yes there is a huge Buddha like Tao in NYC, I don’t know who copied who), and low level lighting trying to set a relaxed and chill vibe, so you are hit with so many things at once!
Tables are close together, some large groups can be loud at times, very little privacy if you want it. Service is severely lacking, we had a female take our order who was more interested in socializing with other workers than working. Severe delays in bringing the food out in an orderly fashion, and food plate mixups.
Food quality was ok, but did not wow me as much as the prices, for what they charge and deliver is miles apart. Food portions are way too small for the price as we needed to order 2 portions for anything we were interested in for the 4 of us. Majority of their rolls come with 4 pieces only, so 2 orders needed for 2 pieces each, and the rolls are pricey.
It’s definitely an experience, but one that will leave you either hungry or broke.

An amazing experience both culinary and atmospheric.
The signature cocktails are great and the food is excellent, especially the wagyu burgers! These burgers are amazing!! You can spend minutes just smelling them before even putting them in your mouth.
The decor and general atmosphere are excellent.
Service could be a bit faster and the waiter's attention better but overall it was a great experience.

We were transported into the old world luxury.
Delicious food but slightly bland for my Asian palette. Our waitress,Savannah took care of us really well and made us feel like family.
Be prepared to be pampered there for 5 hours if you select the 7 courses with wine pairing.
Ling Tsang - 7 months ago
I would need to give it 4.1 star.
We did have the cheaper menu at 150 euro if you are less than 35 years old with champagne and 2 wines.
For the price we had a great dinner.
The place has so much history and you can feel it, the service is very good quality overall, finished plates where sometimes left on the table along with crumbs till the main waiter took them off.
The food was very nice and tasted good overall especially for this unique menu, however I was expecting more from 1 Michelin star.
The small hors d’œuvres where very creative and we felt impressed and where very taken away. Especially with the artichoke chips, very creative with new thecniques never seen before
Then the bun with smoked cream and different textures of tomato was creative, however just boring, you get a bun then home made bread, it didn’t feel special.
We followed with Tuna and beet sorbet, it was a great palette cleaner, the taste was great and our daughter loved it. However there wasn’t a wow factor, that we can normally find for such amazing product.
Next was the scallop, the taste was good and plating was fun, the scallop éclaté was a new experience however the flavours where okay together but yet again missing harmony, the brown sauce tasted good but didn’t look appealing with the plate, the purée was chunky I guess the chef wanted it that way but I felt it didn’t add anything a purée more smooth would have been better.
The chicken cooked sous vide with a caramlized top with an excellent crumble a creative sabayon served on the side was fun, the fennel was nice but a bit boring, could have been worked in more detail then randomly they came with chicken legs and a roasted chicken consumé this was a very fun touch and we appreciated it very much.
The green apple and celery was great and refreshing , the powder all over the bowl was playful and creative.
The chocolate dessert and calamansi was missing a bit of balance and I didn’t feel like they went together, however this is very personal. Very hard work went into the dish and was very beautiful.
Mignardises were beautiful and overall good.
The champagne was excellent quality and very good, white wine was just okay, their red wine was really excellent! Overall very happy with the pairing.
The service and staff where very good, they brought out plates at the same took the time to serve every plate at the same time, there was a nice flow. However the feel was very robotic and was missing a friendly feel.
Only after asking did we find out the history of the building and the restaurant Lucas Carton, we would have loved a bit more of the story behind this beautiful restaurant and have a more
Human relationship with the staff.
However the service was excellent and well executed. The cutlery and the fineness of the architecture was amazing! Another table got a cheese plate and the cheese cart looked amazing. All these details do explain the Michelin star. Maybe my expectations where very elevated with that title and we did have the cheaper menu.
However I was just missing some wow factors and a sense of warmth that I was expecting in a Michelin start restaurant.
But for the price we paid it was a very nice experience we really appreciated going.

Very well located in Madeleine area, this Michelin star restaurant offers one of the best gastronomic experience in Paris! As one of the oldest restaurant of the city, Lucas Carton has a beautiful interior. The food is simply delicious with the chef offering some creative takes on French dishes and the selection of wine is very comprehensive. The service is welcoming and very nice too! It's definitely one of my favorite restaurant so far 👌👍😊

Excellent food. We ordered the a la carte menu. The dishes were perfectly made. We ordered the scallops and lobster. It was amazing. I also ordered the potato pie as starter which I truly enjoyed.
The desserts - especially the chocolate one - that's probably one of the most memorable chocolate desserts I've had in a while. The perfect combination.
Highly recommend. It wasn't very busy but service was quite slow. It looked like the staff were still in training so most of what we asked about the dishes, they had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask.

Amazing service. All of our waiters were friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully presented. This is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The prices are high, but if you can afford them it is worth it. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We had the seven course tasting menu with the wine pairings and I have no complaints to make.

Food was delicious, but the portions too big in my opinion. I ordered onion soup, a savory souffle and a sweet one and I couldn’t finish any of them. You can go only for a type of souffle or maximum 2 courses.

French famous for souffle but first time trying the savory ones.
Not a fan and don't suit Asian plattes.
Sticking to just their desserts next round.
Small seating. Reservation required.

We had a wonderful experience at Le Souffle. The waitstaff was friendly and spoke both English and French. We had a grand meal that featured escargot, french onion soup, and multiple soufflés. To me, the main highlights were the cheese soufflé/french onion soup appetizer and the Grand Mariner dessert souffle. The Grand Mariner soufflé was one of the best desserts I have ever had. If we were back in France, I would want to come back to Le Souffle.

Quaint little place. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed with the spinach cheese soufflé. My favorite was the blue cheese soufflé. My friend also thought the same, and she doesn't even like blue cheese!
The onion soup was good. We tried three different types of dessert and our favorite was the red fruit one. It is a good experience to have if you are visiting Paris.

Heard so much about this and made lunch reservation. Despite the unassuming storefront, hidden in the alley of St Honore, the crowd is bustling inside with locals and tourists alike. Our server is great and I think they seat the tourists all in the inner chamber with English speaking waiters. The menu has a quick history of souffle the restaurant and the food. Its a staple French food that you have to try once in your life, the authentic way.

Hardly have you ever been to such a nice and cozy bookstore. In love with the other side of the Channel ? You will find there every possible cultural outlet to suit your appetite. You wouldn't find anywhere else a kinder and more well-informed staff. The place has been refurbished and it looks all the more remarkable.

I could find few English books I selected for my 4 years old to get closer to English books. I did research which English books would be a good exposure to my children and I could find those! Great selections and really kind staff. I will visit this book store again with my children for sure!!

This bookshop was actually recommended to me by another book shop where they sold their last English book I was looking for.
Smith & Son is an amazing bookshop for English books in Paris. The place is huge and you can find books from kids to history anything goes. Huge selection of books for everyone. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting and the location is very easy to find.
Will visit again on my next trip.

Wide range of English books, magazines and snacks which was a pleasant find on a Parisian street. They had a really good selection of political books and a diverse selection of authors, more than the usual things you find in more mainstream bookshops. It gives the vibe if an independent place which I appreciated.

Finally….a bookstore in Paris which is full of English books ONLY. (No French books)🙌
You can find books and magazines of all genres here and trust me, the quality and the maintainance is even better than Shakespeare & Co. 👏
The price is reasonable and the staff is very polite 👍
Highly recommended ❤️

Awesome place with great food and pretty much the only place with good service we experienced in 3 days in paris. Chich and trendy decor, nested in a cute arcade between the Dior and Chanel store, Well thought out and presented dishes, encompassing a range of tastes and flavours from around the world. They were also very accommodating with our 4 year old and made a dish for her that wasn't on the menu. Not cheap but it is what it is.
Shane Affridi - 6 months ago
Place is nice but the food was terrible and expensive, 12€ for a plate of scrambled eggs that appeared to be soup with a small bread that was hard as a rock, the coffee was worst than instant coffee and it came from a machine not from an espresso machine which for 8€ is a scam.
The service is ok, nothing surprising just regular Paris service.
The place is in a nice spot but definitely not worth the price, you pay top money and get low quality.

Tucked in an alley next to Dior. Freshest seafood I’ve had in Paris and this place has outdoor seating and indoor seating. We had Thai salad with prawns very fresh. We also had Brunch with smoked salmon with avocado salad also very fresh with the fluffiest scrambled eggs. The menu is simple with other salad options, rigatoni, artichoke salad, tuna tartare, beef tartare, club sandwich (looks yummy) and desserts. Service is professional and friendly. No cheese options though as I always want a plate of cheese while in Paris.

One of my favorite lunch spots in the city. Next to all the big fashion houses. Le Village has an amazing Tuna tartar as well as an artichoke salad. The Steak tartar is also another favorite of mine. Cool vibe and great place for people watching.

We had a magnificent time. Chic Decor. We were there on a weeknight, and it was packed! The crowd was very lively which made our evening. We enjoyed some magnificent wine and the food was solid. The female entertainer played elevator music - think Nora Jones - which really didn’t go with the upbeat vibe but that didn’t stop us. Go for the atmosphere! Talk to other tables and enjoy the moment.

Lovely decor and live music. The food was good, a bit lackluster. The service was okay, but I don’t feel like they went the extra step like I’m used to in these kind of restaurants. I guess I expected a lot? Not bad at all but not great either. It was also awfully hard to book and it wasn’t even full when we went! Nonetheless, it was BEAUTIFUL, that old style vibe is nice.

Passed by for drinks at the bar upstairs at Maxim's, it just opened after an extensive renovation, amazing decor, great service, you are welcomed upstairs in an old fashioned mystical way by "the man with sunglasses"..... The small bites were also very tasty. Must visit!

Giovanni a head water works at Maxim’s 39 years. Only this makes this place unique. Ambience is amazing, food is good but can’t say it is something incredible. Guests are high level Giorgio Armani was dining next table to me.

Visiting Maxime's in Paris is like stepping into a classic painting, though the prices might make you think you're funding a new wing of the Louvre. It's a place where one half expects Toulouse-Lautrec to critique the cost of dining with his characteristic wit. Yet, the wine list is a delightful journey through vineyards that almost justifies the bill.

After traveling around france for a while we tried different restaurants and were mostly disappointed. This bistro had a good rating and went there to try it - we were not disappointed! Both of us had a red wine from the region and it tasted good, they were very strong, so not for everyone. We just had an appetizer and french fries, because it was at afternoon and we wanted to have dinner. My friend had a oven baked camembert with toasties and honey, pretty simple but so good! I had baby squids in butter with garlic. I loved it! It was fresh, crispy but also tasteful. Just perfect. The french fries were okay, they were a little too soggy. My neighbors had a steak and some pork which looked good. The ambient outside was very cute on the street, service was great! He was very friendly and welcoming.
I would definitely come here again!

We very much enjoyed our dinner at this charming eatery. It is much smaller than the impression I got from photos. They played Rolling Stones music all evening. I had the beef steak with french fries. My wife had French onion soup with foie gras. She enjoyed both very much. We both had cocktails that were decent but presented very well. We really like the vibe of the joint. We would definitely eat here again. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.

Our first meal when we arrived in Paris, it was the only one we didn’t make a reservation for and probably the best. The service was incredible with the friendliest waiter. The sea urchin amuse bouche was phenomenal and the duck was probably the best I had all week (I ordered it either for lunch or dinner every day in France). Wish every meal I planned in advance could be as delicious as this one!

A potentially wonderful location on a calm terrace in the heart of luxury land. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad without croutons. I received a Caesar salad with no chicken and masses of croutons. The lettuce hadn’t even been peeled off its stalk. On complaining they apologised with alacrity and said they would replace it. By the time it came back, my host had finished his lunch. He had ordered a burger for which the accompaniments arrived half way through his meal. While the staff were charming, I do not feel that we should’ve been charged for such a mess of a meal, but I did not want to kick up a fuss in front of my host. I will not return
