This place is truly something! The interior design is extraordinary and creates a timeless atmosphere that feels like a step back in history. The entire experience was memorable. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and kind, which I really appreciated.
The wine selection was excellent, and the food was beautifully presented. However, I felt the flavors didn’t quite match the high pricing. That said, the ambiance alone is worth the visit—absolutely stunning and perfect for a special dinner.
A delightful experience overall in a breathtaking setting!

At first I was a bit worried it is a tourist trap, but everything exceeded my expectation. It was a busy lunch service, the staff members were very busy but still remained professional and accommodating. After the rush hour the staff managed to be more fun, I really appreciate the human touch.
The food was great, we had the set menu and also some seafood dishes, all tasted good and the portions are generous.
The interior is needless to say very iconic. The leather on the chairs is quite worn, some refurbishment would make it even better.
I would definitely recommend Le Train Bleu! Thank the team for the great service.

Gorgeous restaurant with an outstanding service carried by number of well experienced and professional waiters. The lamb carving experience was really nice and the meat was delicious as well as the sides. The dessert was exceptional and can’t be missed. Highly recommend the experience

One of the most beautiful dining rooms in Paris — Le Train Bleu is located above the platforms at Gare de Lyon, but once inside, you're transported. Lavish frescoes, ornate plasterwork, and soft lighting make this feel like more than just a meal — it’s an experience.
Despite the grandeur, the service is warm, confident, and professional. Staff are used to travellers, with thoughtful touches like discreet luggage storage and well-timed service that respects both unhurried diners and those catching a train.
The food matches the setting. We enjoyed white asparagus, a beautifully presented crab salad, and roast lamb carved at the table. Dauphinoise potatoes were rich and comforting, and the crêpes flambéed tableside were a perfect classic finish.
Expect to pay a premium — our lunch for two with champagne and wine came to just over €340 — but it feels justified for the quality, setting, and atmosphere.
Tips:
Book ahead — it’s busy even on weekdays.
If arriving by taxi, allow extra time — traffic near the station can be heavy.
The Metro is quicker (Madeleine to Gare de Lyon in ~15 mins).
Short on time? The lounge at the entrance offers a more casual alternative.
A special occasion spot we’d happily return to.

Friend of ours from France recommended the place. I was a bit sceptical, but finally I found the right moment.
They had some issues with the kitchen, so limited menu was available.
The interior is amazing. The food actually was even better. The tartar and the pancakes were prepared in front of us. The service was also quite good.
All comes on a price. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is such a lovely place for dinner. The owner also be the waitress is so friendly and helpful, even though with tourists. The menu is simple but every dish has its own signature with an unbelievable cheap price. Really really highly recommend.
P.s: the capacity is quite small so dont come so late after the opening time.

An authentic and family restaurant, with excellent French cuisine at a very reasonable price. The service is very attentive and helpful! Without a doubt, a great option to eat and spend a wonderful evening in Paris. (don't forget to try their duck... simply spectacular!)

We called here for lunch before leaving from the Gare de Lyon. The service was hugely friendly and quick, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is classic French bistro. We had Blanquette de Saumon and Magret de Carnard with a Côte du Rhône from a well chosen wine list. In short an ideal spot for a good value and delicious meal before catching the train.

Small restaurant with French home made food and attentive service. We have been a group of 5 people, the waitress treated us very friendly and showed a lot of patience. The food was absolutely delicious. They offer combination of starters, main courses and a desserts. Thank you, we had a wonderful evening.

We went here for dinner on our last night in Paris. The restaurant is surprisingly really spacious inside.
We ordered express menu (entree + mains) which consists 6 oysters and duck confit. And my husband ordered some steak.
The food was good, service was great, I love the place.

Really great service, staff were so attentive and they were so helpful.
Lively atmosphere and the seating is very comfortable.
The food was just amazing. Wasn’t sure what to expect from the set menu option, my wife had the express and it’s the food from the normal menu, no difference, brilliant and was the best I’ve had in a long time. Will 100% go back.

Excellent meal. First time we enjoyed local cuisine. Service was polite and not overbearing. Had the poultry with potatoes and fish dish. Would have perhaps liked a bit more brown sauce but it was phenomenal nonetheless. They have an excellent value for money express menu which is really nice. Will definitely visit again and often.

Wonderful atmosphere, echoes of 1940's. Great menu offering fresh oysters from the coast. Very nice service, easy to follow English menu. Lovely and fairly priced Prix fixe and express version. Highly recommended.

Our last night in France and staying by Gare De Lyon for an early morning train to CDG. L’Europe’en was close and although looked touristy and reviews commented on spotty service we decided to give it a go. We were promptly seated without a reservation. Service was quick and brisk. We ordered a special that consisted of 2 dozen oysters, a glass of wine and desert. The place was busy and lively with lots of locals some of which we had nice chats with. The oysters were great served with a mingonette and we ordered an additional half litre of the included wine which paired great with the oysters. The included desert was a rum baba and although we assumed it was one to share we were each brought a serving and in addition they free poured the rum until we said good. Then left the bottle at our table in case we wanted more? All in all it was one of the funnest dinners we had on our 16 night trip and a great way to end our vacation to France.

My friend and I ate here without making a reservation. We were seated promptly. The restaurant was not super busy, but is not far from a tourististy spot in Paris (Le tour Eiffel). Clean and pretty inside. They have menus in both FR and EN. The server didn't really speak English well, but that's okay because I ordered for us in French. But, he could get by. We first had the Mix de Brushetta (Brushetta Mix). She had Prosecco. Perrier 33mL for me. The Brushetta was good, but we weren't expecting the cured raw salmon as a "topping." However, it was tasty. The toppi gs are described in either menu, so you should ask as they might change. We ordered separate meals, but tasted each other's. My meal came out incorrectly so I had to wait. She had pizza, which was just okay. She removed a few pepperonis for me to taste a bite while I waited. First they brought out this huge bowl of twisty pasta with ham (Coquillettes du Jambon, Comté à la Truffe), which looked good, but I don't eat meat. I didn't have a chance to take a photo b/c I didn't let the server leave it. When I correct meal came, I had the Ravioli Ricotta E Spinaci (Rav w/ Ricotta & Spinach), which was DELICIOUS! My friend was so jealous. It came out hot and looked like a smaller bowl, but we were both surprised by the amount. It kept giving, and she kept dipping her pizza in my sauce. It really was quite good. The British guy next to us chatted with us and let me try his Tiramisu, which was great. Clean and crisp, with the taste of espresso but not overpowering and not overly sweet. And her Panna Cotta was good also, smooth, chilled, not too sweet. But my Crème Brûlée was very good. The sugar was thin and not burnt, also smooth. And I tasted all the vanilla, with the visible beans. I highly recommend the Ravioli.

We went as a family of 6 + toddler on a wet and cold day -- the service by the hostess was incredible and so welcoming. On day 5 of our visit to Paris, this was the best service we'd received. I unfortunately couldn't catch the hostess' name, but she was very warm and took a special liking to our toddler. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and we especially enjoyed the Spaghetti and Spinach Ravioli. We also ordered a Pepperoni and Margherita, which looked good. Topped it off with a great hot chocolate, and the hostess went above and beyond to get us all some chocolates. She even got him a cute little Santa dog to take home! Couldn't have asked for a better end to our Paris visit, and I only wish that the hostess hadn't finished her shift just before we left. Must visit if you're in this area for great pizza and Italian food.

Love their pizzas and the relaxing vibe here. The aubergine one was my favourite and surprisingly super yummy. Came back another day for the spicy chorizo one which was also very good. Don’t eat cheese but forgot to ask not to have cheese when ordering at 2nd visit but the gentleman who served the pizza to me was very kind and immediately returned the pizza to kitchen without question when I told him that and brought me a new one without cheese 15minutes later. Will definitely come back next time in Paris.
Highly recommended for everyone who wants a slice of good pizza 🍕 (espresso is very good too)

Amazing place to get a quick bite after a long day of travel as this is right next to the train station. Plating and presentation is a big deal here. You get the fancy feel at a very reasonable price. If you are staying at the hotel above the restaurant you also get a 20% discount. You do have to pay for water. The Spaghetti was a little bland. However the ravioli was amazing. There are only a few vegetarian options.

We had a fantastic experience at this Subway near Gare de Lyon in Paris! The food was fresh and delicious, just as expected, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. A kind and helpful Indian girl went above and beyond to assist us not only did she serve us with a warm smile, but she also helped us book a cab, making our experience even smoother. Her hospitality and willingness to help made a big difference. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the amazing service!

Lovely little place next to Gare de Lyon. It is budget friendly and the food tastes good and looks homemade. Nothing fancy, but delicious 😋😋😋 Both pasta dishes were great, and they carry a good selection of herbal tea. Perfect place to sit outside, relax, wait for a train, people-watch and feel as a Parisian for a moment.

Food was very good!
I had no problems after eating it, which speaks to the freshness and quality of their ingredients as well as their attentivness to cooking.
I'm here visiting so I need to try other places, but I would definitely come back! I'm visiting from America, so I'm not familiar with local customs, and this was the first place I ate.
I paid with my debit card (food was priced reasonably, despite being in a high tourist area). There was no option for tip on the card, but I'm not even sure if its a custom here, so if you're gojng to tip, bring cash.
My waiter spoke English and was very helpful and professional.
Bathroom had graffiti written everywhere, but from what I seen throughout the city, it's absolutely everywhere, so I guess it's normal?
Anyway, great place to stop in and eat!

Fantastic little place incredibly close (couple of mins walk) to Gare de Lyon so really convenient. Really great selection of draft beers ranging through French craft, Belgian and German, plus a great selection of interesting bottled things. The burgers were excellent and service was super friendly. Really strongly recommended, especially if you need somewhere to pass some time close to the station 🍻

After losing the rugby and wandering back to our hotel we stopped for a nightcap. The place itself is nothing special but the atmosphere and locals, this is a bar used by local rail staff, are the most friendly and forthcoming.
Ok we were the only English in there and France had won but it wasn't all about the rugby.
The owner treated us to a drink and so did a couple of locals. For just one drink before bed we spent over two hours such was the company.

Before me and my friends traveled further to Barcelona, we had a lunch break here. Staff is very friendly, and prices are not too high. There are enough places to sit, but the only thing is: there’s no toilet, so you need to go to the station for a toilet. But anyway: this is a great spot to eat and drink something and then continue your journey. Very nice location right in front of the station!

What a pleasant surprise! This restaurant is very very good value for money. We ordered Entrecôte and a tart. The meat was tender and delicious, with home made fresh fries (not the ones that have been re-re-recooked. Tart was tasty.
The room is a bit old - just forget and focus on food. Very worth it so conveniently close to Gare de Lyon.
