What a wonderful stay! The hotel is absolutely charming, with spacious rooms, excellent air conditioning (which made a huge difference), and a fantastic location that made it easy to explore the area. We also ate at the restaurant. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. A special thank you to our waiter, who took outstanding care of us throughout our meals and made the experience feel personal and effortless. The hotel’s restaurant is beautiful—stylish, chic, and with a great atmosphere. Combined with the attentive service, it made every meal a highlight of our stay. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend both the hotel and its restaurant.

This hotel was perfect for a week in Paris. Very conveniently located but not too busy. There are lots of shops, restaurants and transportation nearby. It's a very short walk to the Eiffel Tower, and easy access to all the other major attractions. The hotel itself was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room had a very spacious bathroom, nice comfortable bed, coffee and tea, and free water bottles upon arrival. One of the best things about this hotel is there is a resident cat who is so cute and friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us with any questions or advice about our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Thoumieux Hotel recently and would thoroughly recommend it. It is definitely a boutique hotel but has a great family vibe. From the greeting from the boss (a Persian Cat) to the very friendly staff. Our deluxe room was fantastic. Also we had a great dinner at the downstairs Thoumieux restaurant (after the Eiffel Tower cancelled our dinner reservation due to heat). Our final night at ghe Thoumieux was Bastielle evening and we joined the street party to watch the Eiffel Tower fireworks and drone show.

This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Thoumieux. The hospitality and location could not be better. Jennifer was always willing to help and she was the perfect host. Breakfast was plentiful and a true treat. The Thoumieux restaurant offers a superb dinner.

We could not have asked for a better experience. The food, the wine, the people … they all delivered a wonderful Parisian experience. The seasonal crab soufflé was so good, words cannot describe it. The escargot delivered amazing flavors and was perfectly prepared. The staff were patient and kind to us as we are from the United States and were adjusting to French culture. If you are looking for authentic an authentic French experience, this is the place for you.

Incredible experience overall, four stars for the food itself. Excellent versions of classic dishes like soufflé and coq au vin. Also tried the royal hare which is a dish that dates back to Louis XIV and is extremely rich and gamey – it wasn’t for me but we were all glad to have tried it. Dessert was the soufflé trio, they were ok but the classic soufflé was definitely the best one. Ambience was just incredible, I felt like I was in a modern medieval tavern. Service was pretty slow, just getting our orders in and some water took almost half an hour. I love the napkins so much that I bought one from the restaurant at the end of our meal – one of my favorite souvenirs of the entire trip!

I would 100% recommend Auberge Bressane. The food was incredible, all of the soufflé’s were phenomenal, and our party truly enjoyed it. But not only was the food phenomenal. The service was as well, we were treated with grace and understanding despite being here on vacation. The dinner was in a timely matter as well. If you were looking for a spot to get a good soufflé with fast service I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered tradition foie gras followed by a veal chop with cream sauce and morels. All of the soufflés are a must try! Atmosphere is traditional and cozy. Very intimate seating as the restaurant is small.

Had an amazing Dinner here. We didn’t have a reservation the night we visited and I saw this place on the map randomly. We turned up as a walk in, and they were welcoming even though they were busy. The food was absolutely excellent, we ordered a Large sirloin steak to feed 2 people, everything about it was perfect , excellent selection of wines and knowledgeable staff. Strongly recommend.

A traditional restaurant in the heart of Paris, renowned for being frequented by political figures and celebrities. You can sense the old charm in the excellent, typically French service, the classic dishes and the typical Parisian décor. The food was perfect and you can tell that they have been cooking here for a long time. The wine selection was excellent. I recommend visiting as a couple or in small groups. For larger groups, there are separate areas that are suitable for business dinners, for example.

I’d love to come again. Great food, lovely ambience, and wonderful staff. The entrée — a delicate mushroom dish wrapped like a little pouch — was both beautiful and delicious. The main course featured perfectly cooked fish; the sauce paired wonderfully with the cabbage and went beautifully with the wine. Even the little candies served with coffee were so pretty and charming.

I randomly chose CAFÉ DE L'ESPLANADE (CDLE) for dinner on our last evening in Paris. We had tickets for Aura Les Invalide and wanted something special but close to the venue. Sometimes we luck out! CDLE was perfect! The service was professional, warm, patient and so kind. We had ceviche and chicken egg rolls as appetizers with shrimp and steak as our main course and each item was delicious and beautifully presented. I had one of the best (and generously poured) dirty martinis I’ve ever had. It was something like 24€ but worth it. We topped it off with an unbelievable strawberry gelato with cookie that tasted like eating a ripe summer strawberry. We enjoyed our evening all around and our experience at CDLE was a huge part of it.

My favorite meal in Paris. Walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday night and was welcomed warmly; they kindly found me a table, and the whole evening felt special from the start. Every dish was delicious, but the white and green asparagus cake was unforgettable — truly one of the best things I ate on this trip. The duck confit was rich and perfectly done, and the soufflé was the perfect ending. Exceptional food, gracious service, and a place I would happily return to again and again. A real gem.

Incredible food with incredible service and attention to detail. We felt immediately welcomed by the team, who looked after us superbly from the minute we arrived, to the minute we left. We were served with a delicious amuse bouche whilst we chose our food and wine. We then had two courses, both which we enjoyed immensely. We highly recommend the confit duck and the poitrine du veau. The souffle was just perfect. We don’t visit Paris often, but we would definitely come again and we would definitely recommend.

Fabulous French food in a small neighborhood restaurant. Recommended by our hotel concierge and he was spot on. We ordered the duck confit, pork cheek, artichoke salad, and baked tomato tart. All were fantastic. They were happy to accommodate a request for no anchovies. Very reasonably priced especially for the food quality. We were the only non-French people there too, always a good sign! Will go back for dinner.

Back from Disneyland with lover and wanted to find a decent restaurant near hotel, pumped into this by Google map browsing. Surprised by the onion soup they served with incredible mixture with the cheese and we had tartare and beef bourguignon both are excellent( but prefer go with side like potato smash as the sauce is delicious with side) Worth come by with a good meal, quiet and enjoyable night!

Great place, relatively close to the Military School. The food was delicious, comfort food with the elegance of world-famous French cuisine. I ordered the duck confit, and I was pleasantly surprised that, although they served the jus on the side, the main flavour was already in the crispy skin. It was easily one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place. I’m sure it doesn’t have many reviews simply because you need to call to make a reservation. So, if you’re in the area, give them a call and book a table… you won’t regret it.

A very pleasant experience! We were lucky to find this place after 10 p.m., when the kitchens at nearby restaurants were already closed. The service was excellent and fast, and the food was delicious. It was our best restaurant experience in Paris!

Came here late at night. Around 11 PM. My company wanted a crepe and I was looking for seafood. They made a good crêpe and I got some prawny prawns. They came on ice. With a nice mustard sauce. I had no idea how to peel the guys but I managed to eat all six of them. Would definitely consider the prawns again if I was in Paris again. I was annoyed by the fact that they put a table with tip suggestions on the table at the end. Anyone past high school can divide by 10 or by 5. I don't need assistance on any of this. Still tipped a bit though but I may have tipped more if they asked with a different attitude.

Found this wonderful, inviting restaurant on my solo walk to the Eiffel Tower. I had the Prix Fixe dinner: spring rolls, Thai Beef with Basil, and the most scrumptious coconut flan with coconut icecream. I also had one the specialty cocktails and it was so delicious (don't remember what it was called, but it was green magic)! Truly one of the most unexpected and delicious meals of my week in Paris! By the time I left the restaurant at 9:30 pm, it was completely packed with mostly locals. That's a great sign of a popular place. Highly recommend this gorgeous and top quality restaurant!!

Decent Thai place. The lunch special set menu is tasty. We had spicy fish and red curry chicken. The portion was small and they did give lots of rice. The service was quick. For 23 Euro the two course meal was good.

A must visit. I would have given 5 stars for the taste and quality of the food as they were fantastic. However the portions were very small. The smallest rice or main dish we ever had were served here. We left hungry which was not great. But the service was very good as the people were very nice. And seems like it is also popular amongst the politicians as we have seen a few big name politicians of the French system eating there. I sincerely hope that they are fed enough for the sake of French people 😂😂😂😜😜😜.

Hidden treasure not far from Eiffel Tower. We wanted a break from classic French food and soo happy we stopped in. Beautiful ambience, friendly servers and delicious food made for a truly delightful and memorable dinner in Paris. Everything was freshly made and served hot (spicy & temperature). Appears to be a favorite spot of locals, staff knew many of the otherdiners by name. Staff were attentive so they made us feel like we were regulars. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something different from the French classics

I had a really good experience here overall. The service was decent and about what I expected, nothing over the top but perfectly fine and it didn’t take away from the experience at all. The food was very fresh across the board and thoughtfully prepared. We ordered the Duck Foie Gras, Escargot, French Onion Soup, and Beef Carpaccio. The carpaccio stood out for how fresh and clean it tasted. The French onion soup was a bit on the milder side, but it had a natural, less processed flavor compared to what I’m used to in the U.S., which I appreciated. The escargot was also very fresh, and the sauce in each shell complemented it really well. The highlight for me was the Duck Foie Gras. It had a rich, slightly fermented, salty and creamy flavor that was incredibly enjoyable and well balanced. Overall, the flavors here lean more subtle, which may not fully match my Asian palate, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients really shine through. It’s a fantastic spot, and I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Paris.

We had a really wonderful dining experience at Le Petit Cler! A big thank you to the Bangladeshi manager there—he was so kind and warm. He personally guided us through the menu and helped us pick the best Parisian dishes for our meal, that suits our taste pallet, which made our family feel so welcome and cared for. The food was super fresh and prepared with a lot of care. We tried four dishes: - Warm Goat Cheese Salad: This was the absolute star of the meal! The cheese was nicely toasted on top and soft, rich, and creamy inside. It went so well with the crispy potatoes, fresh tomatoes, and green salad. - Cod Fish with Ratatouille: The fish was fresh, soft, and flaky, and it paired really well with the rich, stewed vegetable ratatouille. - Baked Eggs in Tomato Sauce: Served sizzling hot in a small iron pan with fresh greens and parmesan cheese. It tasted light, healthy, and felt like a nice, home-cooked meal. - Grilled Chicken with Baked Potato: The chicken pieces were tender and well-spiced, served with a big foil-wrapped potato and tasty side sauces. And for dessert, the Crème Brûlée was simply to die for! Perfectly crispy caramel on top and smooth, sweet custard underneath—we absolutely loved it. Since we are used to stronger Indian flavors, the food here is on the milder and lighter side, but you can really taste the pure quality and freshness of every single ingredient. With such great food and such a friendly manager, this place made our Paris trip very special. We would love to visit again!

Great little restaurant on the beautiful Rue Cler. It’s a popular spot with both locals and tourists, and the atmosphere is lively without feeling too crowded. I ordered the faux filet with a pint of blond beer. The food was good, although I asked for the steak medium and it arrived well done. I was quite hungry, so I still enjoyed it and finished the meal. The service was friendly and efficient. The waiter was very accommodating and even helped me charge my phone, while the host was welcoming and pleasant. The prices are reasonable too, I paid around €30 for dinner, which I think is good value for the location. They have happy hour between 16-19 hours and drink prices were really nice. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice meal on Rue Cler.

Amiable, charming place with great service and good food on the remarkable Rue Cher, which you should stroll down at least once in life. There were six of us, an awkward number, but they quickly moved tables so we would fit happily. We arrived at 6:30 to find that Happy Hour lasted another 30 minutes. Order your wine quickly, we were told. We’ll pour a double glass. It was huge. We had the cod, beautifully prepared, a croque monsieur, a croque madame, and pasta. All good.

Just had a late lunch here. Got a table for 6 immediately. Eleven year old was very happy with her kids meal (buttered noodles, kool-aid-ish sugary water, and a creamsicle). The burger was good and juicy with an amazing bun, Beef Bouguignon was tender but lacking in wine flavor, and the shrimp tempura were tasty. Cost just under 100 euro for all 6 of us.

A Lovely Lunch at Le Roussilon on Rue Cler While exploring the charming Rue Cler, one of Paris’s most delightful pedestrianized market streets, filled with fromageries, boulangeries, fruit vendors, and cafés, we stumbled upon Le Roussilon and decided to stop for lunch based on the good reviews we saw from others on Google Maps. They had seats available, and we chose a table that opened right onto the pavement, perfect for soaking in the lively atmosphere of Rue Cler. The service was excellent; friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. The menu offered a very nice variety of options, and we decided on the Steak Tartare (Tartare de Bœuf) with French fries, Bœuf Bourguignon with mashed potatoes, and shared an Île Flottante (floating island) for dessert. Each dish was well-prepared and delicious, the tartare fresh and flavorful, the boeuf bourguignon rich and hearty, and the dessert a light, sweet finish. Le Roussilon also has a good selection of drinks, including draft and bottled beers, wine, and other beverages. We enjoyed a crisp white wine with our meal, which paired perfectly with the food. Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon spent relaxing over lunch in a beautiful Parisian setting. We’ll definitely return to Le Roussilon the next time we visit Rue Cler.
