A wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff were fantastic - so kind and helpful throughout. The lift was a great addition, and the continental breakfast was lovely and fresh, especially the pastries, juice and coffee. The rooms were the highlight. They were huge, particularly by Parisian standards, and beautifully decorated, each one unique. The bathrooms were stunningly renovated with large showers. I'm so grateful to the staff for their kindness. I forgot some clothes on my way to the airport, and they kindly organised to have them delivered back to Ireland. They also surprised us with champagne to celebrate my graduation - a really thoughtful touch. The location is excellent, close to Notre Dame and the lovely streets of Saint-Germain. The adjoining restaurant was fantastic, with unique French cuisine at good prices, and it was a joy to sit outside in the square with a cocktail and watch the world go by. A huge thank you to Anna, Nila and all the lovely staff. We would definitely come back and highly recommend.

If I could give the Relais Saint Germain 6 stars I would. I visit Paris about once a year for work - i stay 3 nights - and I always come back to this lovely little storybook hotel. It feels like just the right thing - authentically Parisian and quaint. Great location. Delicious local food served for your breakfast each morning. Staff are extremely kind and unpretentious -. I recently had a mistaken delivery at the hotel after my stay and Ana was so kind to help get the parcel back to me in Canada.

Beautiful boutique hotel in ideal location. Helpful attentive staff available 24hr. Rooms much larger than typical Paris hotels. Room feels very comfortable and historic. The restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast and our dinner was our best meal in Paris.

This hotel was recommended to us by two different friends so we were very excited to try it. We were completely underwhelmed, surprisingly. There appears to be two parts to the hotel and our room was in the part where you had to take the stairs to an elevator and then more stairs after you got off the elevator. The room is advertised as 29 square meters, or about 300 square feet but it is chopped up so much that it felt like 150 square feet. The decor was very dark and depressing , more reminiscent of a funeral parlor. The bathroom had been nicely updated but the shower was incredibly small, while there was a full bathtub - bad use of space, as the bathtub could have been a nice sized, normal shower. Had to sit sideways on the toilet, due to the angled walls. Breakfast was good, service was touchy depending upon the mood of the person working that day. I’m guessing our friends had different/better rooms, as I could never recommend this based on our experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Relais Saint-Germain and can highly recommend it. Special thanks to Gilles, a true professional. I had an urgent question and sent an email late at night, and I received a prompt and helpful response with a solution. The room was spacious, clean, warm, and beautifully decorated in an authentic Parisian style, with a bathtub and a lovely view from the window. It was very quiet and comfortable, and I slept perfectly. The breakfast was delicious and could be ordered to the room. Overall, an excellent experience - 5 out of 5

Le Procope was easily the best food we had in Paris. I still remember every bite. The staff were so warm, friendly, and fun that I honestly wanted them to sit at our table and have a conversation with us. They made the whole experience feel even more special. The food was completely different from anything else we tried in Paris. Even the French onion soup, which you can find almost everywhere, tasted so much better here, rich, flavorful, and truly memorable. And the dessert, oh my God! It was light, not overly sweet, unique, and absolutely delicious. Everything felt carefully made and different from the usual dishes we had elsewhere. The atmosphere was just as special as the food. We ended up walking through all the rooms just to look at the decorations, the history, and all the little details. Definitely make a reservation because it can get very crowded. And don’t leave without trying the coffee!

Here’s the review with your additional comment naturally included: This gem we found during our last stay in Paris truly made the trip. We stumbled upon it by accident and enjoyed every bit of the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant feels like an old museum transformed into a charming eatery, with a unique character that adds to the experience. The Normandy beef tartare was outstanding—perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The Revolutionary beef tenderloin was as tender as could be, cooked to perfection. We especially enjoyed the potatoes au gratin. The “Ivre de Juliénas” coq au vin featured beautifully marinated chicken in a rich, dark sauce that I couldn’t quite identify, but it was incredibly flavorful and unforgettable. We were completely stuffed after such an amazing meal, but my daughter insisted we order the coffee chocolate dessert. She was absolutely right—it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. A special mention goes to our waitress, Noémie, who was warm, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel welcome, offered helpful recommendations, and added to an already wonderful dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic French cuisine in a unique setting with excellent service, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Got a chance to sit by Napoleons Hat. Apparent the story goes that he left behind his famous hat- as he had no money to pay for the meal he had. There is a lot of great things mentioned about this place . So it lives up to its high expectations. People make a difference to the service. Food is excellent. Elena the hostess, at the entrance was fantastic to accommodate our request of seating. Manu our waitress, was fantastic in making sure we ordered right .Her Wine selection was perfect. It a great place to visit- drink some great wine and indulge in some good old French historic food. Absolutely worth it.

We visited Le Procope during our trip to Paris and honestly weren’t sure what to expect. Given its history and popularity, I was a little concerned that it might be more of a tourist attraction than a great restaurant. I’m happy to say I was completely wrong. We ordered the braised beef cheek and the Coq au Vin, and both were excellent. The beef cheek was incredibly tender, the Coq au Vin was rich and flavorful, and the portions were much larger than we expected. The atmosphere was beautiful and full of character, making the whole experience feel very special. On top of that, the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. One of our best dining experiences in Paris. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic French cuisine in a historic setting.

This place was recommended by the staff at our hotel. It was opened in 1686 so of course we had to check it out. The meal was outstanding and the service was awesome. Our server plated our dishes of coq au vin and beef cheek rigatoni. Highly recommend checking it out. Even if you only want dessert!

This is an incredibly beautiful restaurant with not so good food. My partner had the burrata, mushroom, and prosciutto risotto, I had gnudi verdi, my son had steak, and my daughter had the bucatini agli scampi. My daughter was the only one who enjoyed her meal (the bucatini scampi). My partner’s risotto was virtually flavorless. My gnudi was dry and the flavor profile was not balanced. The steak was cooked nicely but lacked flavor, according to my son. I absolutely wanted to love the food because our server was fantastic, the restaurant is gorgeous, and we were all very hungry. Maybe other menu options would be good, but I’d stay far away from the risotto and gnudi.

Every time we come to Paris if we are staying nearby we prefer to eat in this restaurant. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is so unique. Piano bar makes the place more elegant. Waitresses are so kind and attentive. We are very satisfied with the service of Louise 💖

I found this cozy place when I was wondering in the neighborhood. I liked the vibe inside. You need to order your food in the front and take your tray upstairs to eat. I ordered roasted beef sandwich. The bread was perfect. It was freshly baked and crunchy. The beef and other ingredients were ok (that’s why I gave 4 for the food)

In a city full of some of the best restaurants and bakeries in the world, this was among one of my best culinary experiences in Paris to date. Their bread is delicious and their selection of salads was covetable - I wish there was some more places like this in London. A simple concept but so, so well executed.

Perfect healthy lunch stop for delicious, fresh food and beautiful music. Big fan of this concept and sure to come back. My “everything but” salad with roasted vegetables hit the spot perfectly and tuned me up for my afternoon - all for €12, couldn’t ask for more. Bravo

Delicious hot fresh foccacia sandwiches. I love all the options they have; so this will suit anyone. You can see the bread being baked fresh. And then again after they put in the toppings. I went with the Stonker; which is fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, arugula and olive oil. I made them add balsamic as well which made it even better. €9 is a steal for such a big sandwich. Order first and then lots of place to sit and eat upstairs. Must visit in Paris.

Lovely place for a sandwich, dessert and wine. Prices are reasonable, with a menu you can get the most expensive sandwich, a glass of wine and a cake for €14.5. The food was good, the tiramisu was really good (with chocolate mousse). Wine was good for the price and to top it off you can get an espresso for €1.5. The place is comfortable and quiet.

We went there for drinks after dinner somewhere else, so we didn't get the chance try their food. I'll say the service is great as the moment we arrived a staff approached us to give is a table. Once we were settled in, she returned to ask for our orders. There was a dj set with a few people dancing. It wasn't easy to distinguish the dance area from the seating area as people who danced just occupied free space between the tables. This gave it a but of a disorganised vibe since staff had to go around this. The lighting also was more disco style with flashing lights of different colours. This was quite disturbing in my opinion. Overall, the vibe was good, the music satisfactory, and the service exceptional. Hopefully, I get to try the full experience on another visit.

Lacking in service, but the best food compared to other Frog's. This Frog, lacked in service in comparison to others. We entered and had to wait for a bit, including waiting for the manager to speak to an employee before serving a table (of which there were a few available). The floors were noticeably sticky as well, with a stale beer/ light vomit smell. The food however, was the best I've had compared to other chains. I'm not only taking about the temperature but also the actual taste. It's strange how the same exact dish can taste so different in the same chain. The only thing I would say is that the mac and cheese side for one dish, was piping hot, whereas the other one was stone cold.

the famous steak frites! my friends and i went on a wednesday, around 830 and were seated about an hour later. the wait in line was fine, but we were disappointed to wait a bit longer for our food, especially considering they serve one menu. service was quicker for the second serving around, and our dessert was quick as well. the food was delicious and the profiteroles were to die for! i think the food amount varied a bit, but i was happy for the price.

We had heard about this place and my daughters one desire when we were in Pairs was to have steak frites. So my son the goody found this for us and we made sure we were there when it opened. There was a line, but we made the first seating. What a great experience. It was funny to order when all you are ordering is how you want your steak prepared. We had 3 choices. Rare, medium, or well done. We all ordered medium and it was perfect! It was closer to medium rare but that is how we would have ordered it if we had the option. The starter salad was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good! And the frites! Absolutely to die for. The 3 of us all had two helpings, and then couldn’t resist a dessert too. Next time we were in Paris we will definitely be going back here!

Le Relais de l’Entrecôte is an absolute 5 star experience. From the moment we arrived the staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and impressively efficient despite how busy it was. There was a lively atmosphere and the place was packed, but everything ran smoothly and the service still felt personal. The food was excellent. The salad starter was fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced, and the steak was cooked exactly how we asked. The meat was tender, full of flavour, and the sauce is honestly the kind you keep thinking about after you leave. The fries were also spot on, hot, crispy, and kept coming. To finish, the profiteroles were outstanding, light pastry, generous chocolate sauce, and just the right level of sweetness. The crème brûlée was also fantastic with a proper crackly top and creamy centre. Great quality throughout, great value for what you get, and definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend if you are in Paris and want a classic, delicious meal with a brilliant atmosphere. Must try!

I eat a lot of steak. This place has steak in my opinion that is low quality. The sauce is not appetizing. Theg are always busy and you are packed in mike sardines. It is very loud. Some servers were very grumpy, we got lucky and had a good one. Desserts were decent.

Overall: 4.5/5 I will echo the common consensus online which is that its worth a visit, but not worth waiting hours in line for. We arrived around 19:00 and waited 90 minutes on a Sunday evening. There is no menu other than for drinks and dessert. The service was to the point and efficient and the atmosphere was historical and charming. As for the food you are served a mustardy walnut salad as a starter which I quite enjoyed, albeit a bit strong (personal preference). The steak and frites itself was a 4/5. Tried both rare and medium and preferred the medium. Fries were crisp and paired well with the tangy, shellfish-reminiscent sauce. Slight let down on the steak. Generous portions however and you get a refill. Personally, the highlight food-wise was the creme brulee, an absolute 5/5. Creamy, sweet and delicious. Would come again either earlier or much later (~30 min wait). Total price: €29*2 + €8 = €66,00

We stopped here for our first meal in Paris excited to try the French onion soup. They were able to seat us for lunch with no reservation. We were seated indoors where it is open and facing the street. It was a nice view and we enjoyed that it was shady and we could still enjoy the breeze. We enjoyed the atmosphere and style of Les Éditeurs. The œfs mayonnaise were refreshing and delicious. It was our first time and I would compare them to a more fresh, refreshing flavor but similar to a deviled egg. The French onion soup was delicious as expected!

I went on my very first day in Paris without a reservation, and despite that, they immediately helped me and found me a table. Since I had just arrived after a long journey, I didn’t want to eat anything too heavy. I asked for vegetarian options, and the waiter recommended the classic French onion soup and a curry main course. The onion soup was truly delicious. The presentation was beautiful and the aroma was perfectly balanced. However, it tasted a bit too intense and broth-heavy for me. When I mentioned to the waiter that the soup wasn’t actually vegetarian since it contained beef broth, he replied, “That’s how French onion soup is made.” 😊 The curry main course, on the other hand, was excellent. The balance of flavors was very well executed. The rice served on the side was so hot that I burned my mouth — perhaps it could be rested slightly before serving. The atmosphere of the place is very impressive. It’s quite busy and full of energy. It seems to be especially popular among Parisian locals, with a slightly older crowd that is nevertheless incredibly lively. There is a constant flow of people, giving the place a vibrant, social, and truly “real Paris” feeling. The staff were very kind, attentive, and professional. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the Saint-Germain spirit, enjoy a local brasserie experience, and dine in a high-quality atmosphere.

Starting with the pepper filet. Beautiful pepper corns in the sauce and the meat was very tender flavorful and tender. The cote du rhone was a perfect pairing suggestion by our server. Secondly my croquet monseur was also good and paired well with the Faugeres Red wine. The service was beautiful and not rushed which is the French way.

This place is always bustling and is in a great location with a great atmosphere. We made a reservation and ended up in a front table as requested which was perfect. After that things went downhill. It took a long while to get service and when we did we ordered all of our courses. The first course came out ok and then we waited for the rest. The server was no where to be found. Another server came around and asked us if we wanted anything else which we thought was strange. Finally we asked the new server where our food was. The other server never put it in. The new server apologized and went to go resolve it. Our food came out quickly but it was not great. The French fries weren’t even fast food fries and were undercooked. A disgrace in Paris if you ask me. The rest of the food was just ok. Our second server worked really hard but this rating is for the first server and overall poor experience.

We were only in Paris for a week, but my wife and I decided to try every single restaurants onion soup and they were the best. All the food we had here was great but, I'll remember that soup. Not to forget to mention they had the most custardy and decadent creme brulee we had while in France, no where else compared. I'd go back here again for those two dishes alone. The pork I had was fantastic and had loads of garlic which I love, my wife had a delicious pasta with pesto.We ate on the second floor in lush red chairs in a quiet comfortable setting that was only a short walk from our hotel. Was fantastic.

A great environment, like a mini garden inside. Very good wine and oysters. The menu was rich in varieties and plates decorated very beautiful. They taste fresh but maybe I would expect a bit more complex plates.

This was one of my favourite restaurants during my Paris trip. The interior is stunning, open, airy and inviting filled with plants. It’s a French fusion restaurant with touches of Asian and Japanese flavours. Reservations are a must here as it’s a very busy restaurant especially during nights. The service is impeccable honestly one of the best we’ve experience in Paris. The waiter is very attentive, friendly and overall makes you feel like you’re lifelong friends. We had a party of 4 and ordered quite a few dishes to try out. The salmon dishes were all amazing, fish was fresh and of quality. Two of my favourite was definitely the poke bowl and scallops. Every dish has dynamic flavouring, however the only one that was lacklustre was the dish. We felt it was a little bland and lacking in complexity. The desserts were all amazing as well, not too sweet and the perfect ending. I’d definitely recommend this place!

Great experience! The atmosphere is mostly cozy, though occasionally marred by loud music and wait times during busy hours. Don’t forget to book before. While the food presentation and taste are commendable, it is a bit pricey (around €80-100 per person). But worth a visit for a distinct Parisian experience!

Beautiful place, lovely decor but the food was mediocre. There is a more formal vibe downstairs and upstairs is more relaxed and chilled. However, especially for the price, the food could definitely have been better. Nonetheless the espresso martini was exceptional. I would probably not go back and would probably not recommend this place but the place is beautiful and the cocktails were good.
