Review for Pathé Parnasse:
Great cinema experience in the heart of Montparnasse. The theaters are modern, clean, and comfortable with excellent sound and picture quality. I loved the reclining seats—they made the movie even more enjoyable.
From Monday to Friday, they offer reduced ticket prices until 17h, which is a nice bonus. CinePass holders can also access the premiere theaters without paying extra, which is a fantastic deal—especially for movie buffs like me. I really hope Pathé rolls out the same benefit in other premiere theaters too.
Honestly, I didn’t find any negatives at Pathé Parnasse. Highly recommend it for a premium yet accessible movie experience in Paris.

Very comfortable seats. Magnificent leg space. I enjoyed the whole time. Very good experience. Best 2D and 3D movies.

Good theater. Wish the main screen (screen 1) had Dolby vision though. Sound was great and the video was good. Chairs were super comfortable. The self-service area for the popcorn etc left much to be desired and didn't live up to what a premium theater should have/be.

I really enjoyed this theater. It’s the most comfortable cinema experience that I’ve had in Paris. I don’t know if I can go back to the other popular theater chain after experiencing this one. I visited during midday but there’s no price difference for earlier showings as opposed to the late ones. The screens are clear, the theater is clean, and the sound is good. No complaints.

By far the best cinema experience in Paris you can get. The seats, the popcorn, the audio and screen quality, just a wow!

Retired Australian couple. Our waiter Miguel was the reason we stayed here from just having drinks to eating dinner while killing time before we went to the Montparnasse Tower across the road at 8pm. The food was amazing. Miguel helped us with our selection. Snails 🐌 for entrees, tuna steak & veggies, and a combination fish salad. But it was Miguel’s friendly attentiveness that was equally outstanding!

So delicious and lovely service. The sweet waitress tried really hard to speak French and gave me a drink on the house. Best value on the whole street.

We had a very nice night out at Cesar Palace. The venue was charming and chic, but cosy and not too big. There was a very nice overall atmosphere. The food was well presented and tasty, the service was pleasant. The performances were entertaining with beautiful costumes, and the artists were very talented, giving their 200% energy for the show. It was our first cabaret experience, and we enjoyed it.

Oh César Paris is a popular cabaret venue offering a unique and festive evening experience. The venue is described as having a lively and energetic atmosphere, perfect for a night out in Paris.
Excellent show: The show is praised for its variety, featuring talented performers in dance, singing, magic, acrobatics, and humor.
food: While not the main focus, the food is generally considered to be decent and enjoyable.
staff: The staff is often mentioned as being welcoming, helpful, and attentive.
The venue may be crowded, especially for popular shows, and seating can be limited.

Great breakfast choices - has American and French. We thought the hot drink and orange juice was included in the price so we ordered both. But it was extra 1 euro. Might be a miscommunication but great food and will come back when we are in town.

If you’re searching for the best Mexican restaurant in town, look no further—mostly because Melissa is here, shining brighter than a basket of freshly fried nachos. The food is fantastic, the margaritas are dangerous in the best way, but Melissa is the real spice of the place. She brings more warmth than the salsa, more energy than the jalapeños, and somehow makes every taco taste better just by being around. I came for Mexican food, but I left believing Melissa might actually be the secret ingredient. Highly recommended.

We were wanting to have seafood for lunch and saw this while walking around the area in Montparnasse. We had the oysters which we're so fresh and delicious! Then we had the grilled seafood mix which hit the spot for our seafood craving. Well cooked, fresh, and well portioned. The staff were helpful and service was good. The restaurant was clean and had a good ambience. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone wanting to do seafood dining.

We tried all four types of oysters that they sell. Each one had its own flavor profile, but the one listed as exceptional was exactly that! It was the best oysters we have ever eaten in our lives. The flavor and depth was amazing. Definitely recommend!

I was looking for sea food and a French ambiance. I got sea food and a semi-French ambiance - as far as I can tell … what does that mean: the food was really authentic, I got the mainsea food platter with lobster and added a side of fries. It’s a lot but it is great - the lobster was however mediocre - everything else was outstanding!
Anyhow, I will come again.

We had a couple of hours before our train to Bordeaux so decided to have lunch near the station. Friendly staff weren’t too snotty towards the English speaking tourists, showed us the English menu (QR code to Google translate) and was very attentive. Food was ok, nothing special but more than acceptable for a quick lunch before a train trip. Tare tare was too big probably best to share it unless you really feel like a lot of raw beef… condiments for the tare tare and steak didn’t appear and had to ask for them. Onion soup was mediocre, a bit like warm as well. Overall not too bad.

I visited Bouillon Chartier around 19 on a Sunday, so naturally we waited in the line for over 50 minutes. We were with two, so we were sitted in a table of four with another couple, which can be weird if you are not aware of it but very understandable considering how busy the place is.
The atmosphere was very pretty, however the food was not so great, if it weren’t for the atmosphere or the affordable prices I wouldn’t say it’s worth the wait at all but if you have time and want a different experience and see the decor it’s very nice. The menu changed daily, and I really liked the desserts, especially the chocolate mousse. We paid around 45 euros for two main dishes with one starter, two desserts and drinks.
Selin - a month ago
The queue is quite complicated, so make sure to ask where the end of the line is, as there are three separate lines. We found a staff member who directed us to the correct one. Staff move people from the front of one line to the end of the next. We ended up queuing for an hour before a seat was offered to our party of three. We shared a table with another party of three who had been in line just ahead of us.
The food here is mid, but what it lacks in flavor, it makes up for in price, service, and ambience. The atmosphere is lively, the decor traditional, and the waiters carrying an entire table’s entrees on one arm was nothing short of spectacular. One of the major perks of Bouillon Chartier is the price—£1 for a goopy green soup (which didn’t have much flavor), and entrees ranging from £10 to £13. This is one of those restaurants I’m glad to have tried once, but the food didn’t leave me wanting to come back.
Also, I think new cutlery is very much needed. I had a difficult time cutting through my steak with the provided knife, which was so dull it couldn’t even pass as a butter knife.

My husband and I decided to visit after seeing all the glowing reviews and ratings.
We arrived around 7 pm and only waited a few minutes in line, but by the time we left around 8 pm, the queue outside was huge. Definitely go early if you plan to visit.
I understand it’s a historic spot, but I doubt it was ever this packed back in the day. It felt like a buzzing beehive, great if you enjoy that kind of energy, not so much if you prefer a calmer atmosphere.
The prices are modest, but the quality matches that. The experience reminded me of a cafeteria both in the noise level and in how the food was presented.
The service was super fast, which made th experience more pleasant.
If you come as a couple, don't expect a table for 2, you'll be sat next to someone else at a table of 4 or more.
Overall, I’m glad we tried it once for the experience, but it’s not somewhere I’d return to. Once is enough.
Total bill: 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 drinks, 1 dessert: €37.

After a lot of searching on the internet for where to eat in Paris, I chose "bouillon", the best option for tasting traditional French cuisine. Next step: with one. Because there are some for a reasonable and acceptable price, and there are some that are more expensive and much more expensive. So which one is it? Bouillon Chartier, located not to far from our hotel (weather was horrible, rain all the day long) and from comments I understood that prices more than reasonable.
So, here we are. As expected there was a queue at the restaurant (and it doesn't matter what time of the day), but fast, our maximum was 10 minutes, we visited this restaurant for lunch and early dinner. Service also fast, friendly (surprise, with their occupancy.
Food, what i can say, maybe not a perfect, but good, tasty, fresh, traditional. If you never tasted before French cuisine this is the place for you, you'll enjoy.
Atmosphere, loud, of course, but again huge place with a lot of clients everyday non-stop from 11-30 to midnight, you should expect this.
Do I recommended, absolutely yes, and be ready for all points mentioned above.
Iryna Ecker-Tafintseva - 2 months ago
Honestly, quality, taste, ambiance are not that good. We feel like eating in the cantine. Nothing special. We are family of 3 and sat next to other people which is not really that comfortable.
We were there for lunch and arrived at 11.45 and no queue (heureusement! Because when we finished and went out, there were long queue😲). The appearance of the food were quite sad actually, very plain… We ordered 3 entrees (2 plate of eggs mayonnaise and 1 plate of 6 escargot), 1 plate of saucisse Aveyron, 1 plate of choucroute, 1 plate of tête de veau, 1 plate of magret de canard and 1 plate of confit de canard, 1 crème au caramel , 1 coupe mont blanc, 1 bouteille du vin rouge Chateau pilet appellation bordeaux contrôlée, carafe d’eau, une cafe espresso … the price all all already included tax 12.5% … however we paid one euro more that we were supposed to pay (paid 92.7€ instead of 91.7))… 1 € is ok but what I don’t like is that they did not use the calculator to calculate the price of the food that we ordered. I Even asked if everything was correct and the server just said all the stuff we ordered was correct but did not show us the calculation nor give us the invoice and just told us the total amount… when we were out, i took out their menu so i wanted to see correctly when we were in the car… et voilà, miscalculated… I know it’s only 1 €, is ok for me but what if it happened to almost everyone who came there, do the math!
If the food was good, there might be a consideration for us to go back there next time. But unfortenately, the food is not good… the only thing what was ok is the place itself and the décoration ..
The first Time for us but it would be the last time 🙃
p.s husband didn’t take pic of his food Saucisse Aveyron as the appearance was not that appealing 😅

Really nice restaurant.
The staff was extremely kind and friendly. They seem to accept even a bit weird requests on the food! (But let’s be nice to them 😂)
And they are super kids friendly (with things to do for kids while waiting, a swing chair)
And the food was great as well. Especially the apple crumble was one of the best of the kind for the entire of my life.
The waiting time can be expected around 15-30mins after order, but it is totally worthy.
And the bathroom can be considered not that great.

very delicious food! we ordered the all you can eat offer and shared all everything which was cool to taste all the different flavors. the service is friendly and quick which makes the restaurant practical for a quick eat during the day or in the evening. if you want a chill dining experience though, this place might not be suitable since it rather goes into the direction of fast food (still delicious 😋)

We came with a Tour group, the tour package only allowed for a mediocre salad and two different types of pizza, which is more of a flatbread. One was a vegetarian with tomatoes and cucumbers, the other was ham and onions. Not terrible, just not options I would have ordered, or would recommend. So I purchased a burger, which was better. Not sure what this place is supposed to be known for, but this meal doesn't do them any favors offering to a group of 20+ people. The dessert flatbread seemed to be the best thing that came with our meal. Not saying much there. What a shame, a wasted chance to make 20 plus tourists happy. To end on a positive note, get the seats outside, best seats at the place.

The restaurant was OK. The food was good enough. The dessert was great and I totally recommend it: i had somethingrushed called cafe gourmant. I felt the servers were rushed and not so cheerful as you would expect from such places.

I recently visited Hippopotamus, and while the service was just okay, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, but I genuinely enjoyed my meal. I went for the set menu — starter, main, and dessert, at just over €21, which felt decent for the price.
This chain used to be the go-to place for a good and affordable steak experience. 15 years later, I can say the quality is still there. The portions have definitely shrunk, especially with the set menu, but maybe that's just the new norm.
All in all, we had a good experience. Would I come back? Yes, definitely.
VIC - 5 months ago
The staff was very kind and welcoming, and we were served quickly. The menu was only available in French, but luckily we could find the English version online. Unfortunately, the steak I originally wanted wasn’t available, so I was recommended another one. I asked for a medium doneness, but it came more like medium rare. My dad asked for well done, but his steak was medium. So the only issue was the doneness of the steaks.
Other than that, the drinks were great — I especially enjoyed their cocktails! The presentation wasn’t particularly fancy, but the sauces and overall flavor of the steaks were delicious.

We went to this chain restaurant because we wanted a quick dinner before going to the cinema—normally the kind of place I wouldn’t choose. To be fair, the main promise was kept: the food arrived quickly, the service was efficient only thanks to the large number of staff, the prices matched the quality. However, I didn’t eat my burger. It came loaded with ketchup and mustard, far more than I like, and the bread was sad, industrial, and clearly pre-baked. I’m sure this place works for many people, but it’s not for me, and I wouldn’t go back.

Just entering, Juan Sebastian receives us, a very friendly boy at all times, along with Yamila who is also very kind. They have recommended dishes from the menu and everything was very tasty. I recommend it!

We had a delicious weekday lunch of freshly prepared vegetarian hot and cold starters with Lebanese rosé. Our waiter never rushed us and was patient answering our questions - always with a huge smile. We sat on the pavement terrace shaded by laurel bushes. It’s a tiny quiet oasis in this busy concrete district. We’ll go back.
Sarah Blanchard - 3 months ago
The low rating is due to the rudeness and disrespect we experienced from one of the waiters—a blond man.
When we placed our order (coffee, a starter, and a main), he insisted that we must order an additional starter or main. We wanted to proceed with dessert instead, but this apparently did not meet his expectations.
When we asked for a couple of minutes to decide, he told us we were wasting his time and that he had other customers to serve.
The only reason we stayed—and why this review is 2 stars instead of 0—is because the rest of the staff were kind and professional.
I rarely visit Paris, and when I do, I always make a point of going to Lebanese restaurants. It is disappointing that despite the restaurant’s high ratings, this experience did not reflect the hospitality my country is known for.

Last night dined at an incredible Lebanese restaurant. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and lovely Middle Eastern decor combined with soft lighting and Arabic music created a truly inviting experience.
Despite arriving just before closing time, the staff ensured that we felt welcomed.
The freshly prepared food was absolutely delicious and definitely didn't taste rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you find yourself near Montparnasse Tower, it's just a quick 4-minute walk away.
