An exceptional dining experience at the Musée d'Orsay.
The Musée d'Orsay restaurant is undoubtedly a place of distinction. The setting ranks among the museum's most sophisticated spaces, with gilded walls, ceiling frescoes, elegant chandeliers, and expansive windows that transport you back in time, creating an atmosphere of the highest caliber.
While the tables maintain elegant simplicity, the colorful plastic designer chairs—though personally not to my taste—somehow contribute to the overall sense of refined class. The cuisine is of exceptional quality, with even the youngest diners finding satisfaction through their dedicated children's menu. The fried fish is particularly delicious.
The Caesar salad stands among the finest I've enjoyed in Paris, though I would personally prefer the chicken slightly roasted rather than steamed—nonetheless, it remains excellent. The service deserves special mention, and the ice cream is an absolute delicacy.
While not budget-friendly, the pricing feels justified given such an extraordinary setting. Highly recommended for a memorable Parisian dining experience that combines culinary excellence with unparalleled ambiance.

Very nice ambiance and delicious food, also very professional service. We have tried duck breast, sea bass and chicken filler, all of them were delicious. The Wallace and decorations in the dining hall were also amazing. We recommend!

Beautifully cooked duck. It took a little longer to prepare. The meat was very tender but personally I like it a little more cooked. Staff was very friendly. You must have a museum ticket to be able to access the restaurant (which is located on the second floor)

what a nice restaurant in the Orsay museum ( it is not possible to eat here without having a museum ticket), the service was impeccable and the food really good. The atmosphere and the Belle Epoque interior made me travel in time, truly recommend if you are visiting one of the most beautiful museums from Paris!

Absolutely Excellent, very friendly staff no issue with English or French. Quick service and flavours that will stay in your pallet for a long while after. We forgot our bag at the table and as soon as we realised we called them up and despite being minutes before closing we were met at the door with a smile and our bag! Couldn’t recommend more for some hearty food in the centre of paris

Friendly and warm hospitality from the owner. Good food for my folks who are vegetarian. We ordered palak paneer a second time. Ornate interiors. Cozy. Great location before going to the Musee d’Orsay.

Although in a relatively quiet area this restaurant is worth a visit. Friendly service and really nice food. It was a relaxed atmosphere. The food selection was good and the service was fast.

The atmosphere was cozy, the service warm and friendly and the food was amazing, this lovely little restaurant was right across the street from the apartment we’re staying at so we decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. We had the butter chicken, the chicken vindaloo, aloo ghobi, saffron rice and some stiff generously poured whiskey and cola.

We love this tiny gem of a restaurant and have been visiting it for years. The owner, Sudat, is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly and the cuisine is outstanding - it is consistently delicious Indian food. The Jingas Madras (shrimp) and the Murg Tikka Masala (Chicken) are our favorites. There is a reason Ravi has been in business for 40 years - it never disappoints.

This place serves one of the best pork chops I have ever had, it's completely worth the trip to come down just for it. Think a thick slab of pork that is super flavourful and tender, the mashed potato is also superb. I'd pass on the chocolate mousse though, as it's a tad bit too rich for me (unless it's for a really big group of people).
Overall, I'll definitely be back here if I'm in Paris again! Do remember to make reservations or you might get turned away, their business is quite good and there aren't many tables available.

Easily one of the best dinners that we’ve had in years. Everything was perfect. The cucumbers were fresh and the mushroom dishes were to die for. Our friends recommended this place to us and we will be doing the same in the future. Make sure to get the beef and the chocolate mousse dishes.

Cinq-Mars is a great spot for a well-executed lunch in Paris. I had the 3-course menu, and although it’s short and simple, everything was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The carrot velouté was smooth and comforting, followed by a seabass filet with house-made mash and caper cream — perfectly cooked, crispy skin, and light seasoning. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service kind and efficient. A solid stop if you’re looking for an elegant yet unpretentious lunch near the heart of the city.

Had two meals there and it's a perfect place for your Paris list. You can get the classics executed exceptionally well with good service in an otherwise tourist heavy environment.

Located in a quiet street behind the Musée d’Orsay, we found this intimate restaurant that offers good French cuisine. Between the four of us, we started with the asparagus, fried clams and fabulous oyster mushrooms. Our main courses were the cod fish (delicious) and well cooked lamb (a little overdone). The desserts were all excellent - especially the apple crumble! We decided on à la carte - but a tempting fixed price menu was available. Excellent wine list. The atmosphere was very agreeable and the service was friendly and efficient. With a fixed menu and careful wine choice, this would not be expensive for the area (but we pushed the boat out!). It was busy but we had reserved - possibly advisable at lunchtime.

Friends and I shared a delicious 3 course lunch in October. From the moment you enter and climb that beautiful stairway to the restaurant entrance, you know you are in for a treat! The food was delicious and beautifully plated, the service warm and attentive and the dining room is so inviting. I would definitely go back for another fine dining experience.

We took the Seine dinner cruise departing from Orsay quay at 18:45 and everything started on time. The boat was modern, smooth on the water, and the views were fantastic. Seating is assigned, with window tables available for an extra fee. There was live music with a singer performing well-known songs, which created a romantic atmosphere. Not too intimate because of many people sitting close to each other.
The food was average: only the main course came with a choice, while salad and dessert were the same for everyone. The starter was served before departure. The meat option (extra €10) was tough, but the chicken and fish were fine. Drinks are all at extra cost, and the dessert was unimpressive.
For our wedding anniversary, we expected at least a small gesture of attention, but the only option offered was a cake for an extra charge. Even a simple candle with the included dessert would have been enough.
Service was attentive and polite.
The cruise lasted about 1h15. In late September, departing at 18:45 meant enjoying daylight during the ride, but we just missed the Eiffel Tower sparkle after sunset, which was a pity. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, perfect for a tourist in Paris looking for an atmospheric evening on the river.

Mohin provided excellent service on the seine river cruise! What an absolutely magical night and such a special experience seeing the beauty of Paris for the first time. Highly recommend this tour!

A nice experience if you want to see paris without having to walk much. I took the 21:15h cruise with guaranteed view of the eiffel tower sparkling. The food was nothing special and service started 15 min prior to departure. You could choose between two entrées, three main courses (fish, chicken and beef with a 10€ upcharge for the beef steak) and two desserts(crème brûlée or a solid piece of cheap, milk chocolate shaped like the eiffel tower). To top it off no drinks were included in the price. 1 liter of still water cost 8€ with no tap water provided (a law in France-this was mentioned on the website as we were on a boat with no tap water available). Waiters were pushy and two photographers on board pressuring you to take photos on top of unpleasant singing. You could see bits and pieces of the Eiffel Tower from the boat. You would’ve seen it just as well, if not better on land or from a bridge. Overall, not worth the money. If you’re trying to see a little bit of Paris take a cruise on the Seine during daylight hours no need for a fancy dinner.

The boat was spotless, and the glass windows were crystal clear, making it easy to capture beautiful photos and videos. The food was outstanding—every course was absolutely delicious. One of the crew member, Sinan, was incredibly helpful, not only explaining everything and offering great recommendations, but also going above and beyond by describing the landmarks as we passed them. I highly recommend this experience, and if I return to Paris, I will definitely do it again.

Hugely overpriced, the vibe was dead, Aperol had no Prosecco in it, even though I asked for it. The truffle carnonara was a bucatini with truffle cream and raw bacon. Awful.
Karolina Nocon - 5 months ago
A little overpriced for what it was, but overall a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly, pasta was flavorful and plentiful. The appetizers were okay, but the portions were very little considering the price. Tiramisu was alright - there was a bit too much egg white.

Food was good, we had the special, creamy and lovely, seemed like the chef was Italian also. The servers were very nice and attentive.

One of the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. I leave this review almost 4 years later after coming across the pictures I’ve taken. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the truffle pasta which was indisputably the best I have ever had, I was probably too busy enjoying this unique moment that is still perfectly imprinted in my mind. The other courses were very good too. I will definitely come again.

Reviews
The atmosphere is pleasant and well presented, arguably stronger than the service itself. food was okay.
The restaurant was not busy, yet the bill was brought immediately after removing the plates, like 10 seconds after! and they came asking for payment as well, felt rude and disrupted the experience and I felt I have to write the review here as there is no point talking to them.
Now, food, we ordered Boeuf Bourguignon, Épaule D’agneau, and a burger with fries. The Boeuf Bourguignon was correctly prepared but lacked depth; sorry to say this, but I have had better in many traditional bistros, and, even some upper touristic venues in Paris.
The Épaule D’agneau was well presented, though the potatoes were more flavourful than the lamb, and the seasoning felt unconventional. It seems all meals had one shared ingredient ( some oil, butter, spice …) which I didn’t like. However, the fries of the burger was super good.
Also, disappointed by the toilets , they were not clean and appeared poorly maintained.
Overall, the restaurant looks appealing, but rushed service and modest food execution meant the experience fell short.
The above reflects my opinion and my experience only. So I regret having this meal there.

The food was amazing. Cozy restaurant near Louvre. High standards of customer service and the price was just fab. It is very hard to pick just one thing on the menu. I had a the beef stew and I was like a hug in a very nippy weather. The family had the octopus and the duck and it was as good as. Would recommend it for sure without thing twice

This place was recommended by a local, and it did not disappoint! Walking distance to Louvre. The food was amazing - frog legs came with a delicious sauce, the steak was cooked to perfect medium rare, and the duck breast was perfect. Everything tasted even better with some local beer on draft. Considering the central location of this place, prices were more than reasonable. Definitely recommend!!!
Volodymyr Korsun - 5 months ago
We wanted to like it. The waiter was very attentive, just a little grumpy. The problem was the food. The escargot was bland, and the mayonnaise eggs were just okay. The Beef Bourguignon was under cooked, with 3 small carrots, 1 little mushroom and 2 potatoes. The bacon was basically inedible and the beef was chewy. It really just needed to be cooked longer. But, the chocolate mousse was good.
There are better restaurants nearby, though.

A Peaceful Parisian Gem in the Tuileries
My wife and I (visiting from Toronto) had a great time at Café des Marronniers. It’s tucked away in the Tuileries Garden, so it feels quiet and relaxed—like a little escape from the busy city.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home.
We both had the French onion soup, and it was honestly the best we've had—rich, cheesy, full of flavor, and just perfect.
Such a great spot to enjoy good food and take in the Paris atmosphere. We’d definitely come back next time we're in the city.

Good food and ambiance, a bit dusty for outside seating. Tried the cheese plate, steak, croque monsieur, fish and chips, and creme brûlée (fave).

Beautiful location and great service, including a blanket at the table if necessary for our November visit. Service was excellent and well timed. Escargot was delicious and the Caesar salad very nice. The thing that dropped our enjoyment of the the visit was our order of the open face ham and cheese sandwich was not open faced and not the quality we were expecting.
