Overall quite good, but sometimes mixed, food. Great service and location. Onion soup au gratin (aka 'French onion soup') - amazing! Easily the best my wife or I have had. Alsace-Lorraine sauerkraut and sausage plate - disappointing. Everything was bland, even the cumin sausage. White sausage was blander than an Oscar Meyer wiener. Steak frite - ribeye with peppercorn sauce - a bit small, but excellent cooking and sauce. Solid fries with it. Desserts (Chocolate mousse - really more of a lava cake, and creme brulee) - both simple, tasty, but nothing remarkable. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant got a bit noisy by 1930, but was still practical to talk. Beautiful location and decorations! And best of all for the location, it had air conditioning, and powerful enough to cool sufficiently (unlike most Paris locales!) even with 35-40C weather outside!

NOT consistent!!! This was our first experience: Hands down the BEST lobster I’ve ever had! I ordered the seafood sauerkraut which came with lobster but I was expecting it to be chewy like usual but it literally melted in my mouth! So good! The oysters were the freshest we had in Paris. The filet was a little chewy but still delicious. The waiter was extremely accommodating to our modifications. The burrata was fantastic. A great dinner! The attention to detail was incredible. It was so good, we went back later that week and it was a completely different experience! The waiter was extremely rude. The lobster was so chewy, I couldn’t cut it with a knife. The waiter rolled his eyes when I asked for the béarnaise that came with the lobster as well as claw crackers. I would have never come back if this was my first experience.

Take the time to go to this fantastic brasserie. The champagne, wine, starters, main courses, and desserts were all fantastic. We had the oeuff mayonnaise, oysters, and foie grass for the starters, pork and liver entrées, and mousse tiéd au chocolat for dessert. We also had the brut rosé champagne and a bordeau red wine. Both were exceptional. All were exceptional. The service was truly spectacular and the ambience amazing. The restaurant is inside a building built in 1927 so the style was more art nouveau.

One of Paris finest and oldest brasseries. As a bouillon/brasserie veteran, i approve this place. The service was formal, the architecture was simply breathtaking, and the food more than adequate. Overall, a great experience. I highly recommend this place for any foodie in search of french authenticity.

We came to legendary La Coupole and discovered that the magic is still there. Showing its Alsatian roots, my Choucroute La Coupole and my Alsatian pinot blanc were excellent. Attentive service. The dessert was excellent as well. Reasonable prices.

A fantastic venue for the performing arts. Enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere of a local movie theater while assisting to national level performances. Fantastic show yesterday with Les Secrets de la Méduse. The real story behind a famous painting by Géricault. Also enjoyed the restaurant.

Affordable bar & eatery to hang out either before or after a film or theatre. Cool area too. Cinema screens aren’t particularly large however good enough for films that are no longer in the larger cinemas. They could have installed better seats…

This theatre is one of my favourite in Paris. With his cinema, his restaurant, his bar, his bookshop and of cours his shows, this cultural place is full of life and a warm atmosphere. And you can have very advantagous prices thanks to their different tariff (senior, -26y...). I leave here a note for Les Joues Rouge, a brilliant theatre company, which had astonished me with it rendition of L'Écume des Jours, and which enthousiasted me once again tonight with it adaptation of Bel-Ami.

We had such a nice evening here. We ordered some tapas and drinks. Food was nice, the cocktails were delicious. Great music, great setting and the service was also very good. The bartender and our waitress, Nina, were so nice and friendly! I will definitely come back here on my next visit. Definitely recommend

Enjoyed the bar very much. The service was ok, didn’t quite like the hygiene from the girl behind the bar tho - while watching how my cocktails are made, buuuut the rest was top. I loved the smoke place, I’m just into cigars and I really enjoyed everything there. Will visit again when I’m in Paris, and I recommend the place for sure :)

It is an average place in my opinion. Not a very large selection of soft drinks and snacks. People are nice though and very kind. Wanted to Spend an evening dancing salsa but only 4 people danced in total. Music doesn’t vary much but after all I would say it’s an ok place

We went here for Halloween and were oddly encouraged by their extensive decor (since Paris basically doesn’t do Halloween). I had the fish ceviche, which was the best I’ve had since Playa del Carmen. I also had the manchego tapa, which was pretty much what you’d expect—sliced cheese, but also with some salad. I also had some shrimp, which was excellent, though keep in mind, it’s still got the face, so you gotta peel! Finally, I had a margarita, which was the best I’ve so far had in Paris. Only down side was it was a bit of a task to track down our waiter when we were ready to go. Another upside, though, was the price was very reasonable considering we both got lots of good and drinks!

A very unique and delicious restaurant. They serve only one dish but it is worth it. You get an excellent salad followed by steak frites and fries. The wine selection is good and they offer half of full bottle. There are several desserts that tast as good as they look. A must visit!

We made the choice to dine at the Monteparnasse location in the hope of a shorter wait compared to the location near the Champs Elysse. We were rewarded with only a 5 minute wait to be seated. Our waitress, Carol, was lovely. Professional and quick. We noticed that many of the staff also spoke good English. Steak was cooked to request. Food arrived hot for both servings with minimal wait. Only fault was that the drinks felt a bit over priced at 5.50€ for a 330ml Coke Zero. Generous servings. Bread, salad and tap water included complimentary.

I truly had an amazing experience here at all levels. I was originally a bit discouraged to visit since this is popular with tourists and often labeled a trap by French people. That was not my experience, I visited this location as I expected it to be less busy and it was, came around 7:30 pm, dining room was full but there was plenty of outdoor seating. I was greeted very warmly and taken care of very well by my friendly waitress. The food was great! As you know there’s no menu, I was glad that I ordered my steak medium and not rare, I had a true medium with plenty of red juiciness inside. I do prefer a nice char on my steaks, which I didn’t get here, but I can’t complain with such a generous portion of amazing sauce, plenty to use with most of your fries. I soaked some of bread with the secret sauce, not to mention the bread was spectacular! I’m not a fan of bread at all so that says a lot. The sauce is of course, to die for and they do give you a second serving of both steak and fries. I enjoyed the salad here more than when I first had it in their NYC location, the dressing on the salad here is much less pungent and the salad veggies were very fresh and crisp here. I had one glass of red wine and it was okay-tasting, I didn’t ask for the wine list so I assume I just got a basic red table wine. Total came up to 37 euros which I think is very reasonable for a two course meal with a drink. Seemingly a nice area and close to the metro. I had a craving for red meat and this place definitely hit the spot, highly recommend, I plan to come here at least once during each of my future trips to Paris.

My second time at Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, after previously visiting another location. The food is still excellent: the steak, fries, sauce and salad are all delicious, and the quality has remained consistent even after a long time. That said, communication was quite difficult as the waiter serving us had very limited English, which I found disappointing for a restaurant of this level. We also found it strange that the sauce could not be served on the side, even though we were told they could simply reduce the amount on the steak. Since it was my friend’s first time trying it, she wanted to taste it separately first. Similarly, when she wanted to take her leftover steak away instead of having the second serving, takeaway was not available, although they eventually wrapped a few pieces of meat in aluminium foil. Still, these are minor issues compared to how good the food is. Despite knowing that there is usually a long queue for this restaurant, I came back a second time because I enjoyed my first experience so much, and I would definitely come back again.

This restaurant has one dish which is steak frites served with a green sauce, and they do it very well. The steak was rare and buttery and the chips were crispy and flavorful. The ambience was also very nice! I highly recommend for tourists visiting to have a lovely dinner

I don’t know if there are actually words that can properly describe the incredible experience I had at this restaurant today. It came highly recommended from a friend who lives in France. It hit every mark I have told about 100 people about this restaurant today and shared these pictures. Enzo was an incredible server who I would highly recommend to anyone. I’d probably hire him for my company. I can’t wait to go back here. Everything was as good as it could possibly be in every aspect. I went specifically for an onion soup and ended up getting the best oysters I’ve ever had an incredible leg of lamb and the onion soup was absolutely phenomenal. 10 stars.

I was so excited to come here during my visit to Paris, as it’s such a cultural icon- a historic haunt of great writers and artists. Unfortunately, as a solo diner, I was seated at a table wedged between the front door and the server station, despite many other tables being available. Instead of ambiance and art, I got a view of the door and the constant clanging of silverware. Additionally, the service felt dismissive throughout the meal: bread was slammed onto the table, and the spoon for my main course was tossed down rather than placed. The food itself was excellent and quintessentially French, but at this price point, you’re also paying for the experience and hospitality- and that part simply wasn’t there. :(

Went to La Rotonde for a father-daughter dinner and had a really great evening. Classic French food done properly, relaxed atmosphere and genuinely attentive service. Our waiter was fantastic with my 10-year-old and even helped us navigate the escargots without making us feel like confused tourists. Small touch, but very appreciated. You can still feel a bit of the old Belle Époque and avant-garde Paris atmosphere there. In the end, that’s what makes the place special even more than the food itself.

I waited 40 minutes for my food to arrive. I ordered the lunch menu with the panache de poisson as main course. Two fish, salmon and what I believe was turbot or sea bass. Both cooked exactly as they should be. Flaky, tender, nothing overdone. The pasta on the side, perfectly cooked. And the herb butter sauce tying it all together. No complaints about the food. None. But the 40 minutes wait... 🙄 Not because the kitchen was slow. There must have been ordering mistake somewhere between the server and the kitchen. I saw other people that came after me gotten their food within 10mins after they ordered. By the time mine arrived, part of the pleasure was already gone. Hunger has a limit, and I had crossed it. Having a meal in a restaurant isn't just what's on the plate. Especially at an institution like La Rotonde. But when the experience around it stumbles, it lingers. And this one did. 👎

I had the French onion soup and the ribeye steak. The steak was very good and cooked to perfection at medium rare. The French onion soup was subpar compared to the restaurant across the street La Coupole. So the food experience was good enough. Idk if I came off as rude to the waiter, which apparently happens frequently for fench people interacting with tourists, but my waiter was visible upset when dealing with me. Idk if it was my lack of French comprehension or maybe I forgot to greet him even though I greeted the waiter who led me to the table. But it really didn't help the meal experience.

No signage on the croissants so I ordered what looked like a pain au raisin, rather than being corrected on what it was I was sold it anyway. It was soft and flavorless, very disappointing. Almond croissant was mediocre - weak flavored filling that was almost a gelatin slab.

Le Select is a very classy Bistro in Paris! We didn’t have to wait too long on a week-end evening. We ordered a few items from their menu. Their stand out was definitely the French onion soup! Sweet from the caramelized onions balances with the gooey cheese on top. Definitely recommend ordering it!

Hidden gem, in plain sight. Wait staff was phenomenal. I can't tell you how frenetic they were racing around the restaurant as they maneuvered through the small areas between all the tables. The escargot was amazing. The onion soup was a top ten. My wife had the Ceasar Salad and the chicken that came with it was plentiful and the dressing was very light yet robust. We are spending 3.5 days here and hope to make it there one more time before we go. I hope to update with more pictures, too. If I don't get the chance, you can treat this review as a solid recommendation to have some wonderfully delicious food, and watch the wait staff effortlessly glide through the small spaces between tables and chairs and wonder how they do it.

The service was Excellent and the food and drinks were Amazing. My Wife and I were visiting Paris for the first time, and I wanted to go to a place where the American Authors frequented. When I asked the Maitre D where F. Scott Fitzgerald would sit, he sat us in a nice booth next to the bar- he know exactly what I wanted. I ate snails for the first time so I would highly suggest those. The customers were also sophisticated and nicely dressed, relaxed, and all seemed to be in deep conversation- either about politics or literature or something academic. Honestly, I don't speak French but it still seemed like it could've been either of the aforementioned. No one talks loud, but just the right tone. And we all (the entire restaurant) enjoyed ourselves on that Saturday night, as if we were all on the same page. Our service was Excellent, and I'll definitely come back again. I miss and love Paris

an understated japanese restaurant in a quiet neighborhood with incredibly good food and great service... the menu is "simple" but allows for a wide variety of combinations... the food presentation is awesome... the serving size is filling... this is most certainly a place to visit in Paris.

Staff is nice. Portions are huge - even too big for a menu. However, I found tall the plates somewhat boring. Nothing interesting for the price tag I eould have expected something more special in taste and presentation. 58eur menu and some choices are even extra on top and drinks plus.. could be a solid 4star for half the price

Le Falstaff was exactly what we needed for a late-night meal in Paris. I ordered the homemade burger, and wow—it absolutely melted in my mouth. You can tell it’s made fresh in-house, and it was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in town. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich, which was tender, lightly breaded, and just as delicious. We also appreciated that the staff happily let her swap the fries for a salad. A special shoutout to Lucas, who was really helpful and attentive throughout our visit. Clemont behind the bar made us some fantastic Aperol Spritzes, gave great recommendations on what to order, and even suggested places to go after dinner, which made the whole night feel extra welcoming and fun. Another huge plus: the kitchen stays open until 3–4 AM, which is a lifesaver when you’re craving quality food late at night. Great food, great drinks, friendly service, and late-night hours—Le Falstaff is definitely worth a visit.

Serve full menu of great food really late; I ordered at 0100AM. Awesome 90s alt rock/ heavy metal playing and fun (late 20’s age) pub vibe. Sports on the tv in the corner. Decent beer selection. Killer French fries. I tried the Forester burger (with an egg)… MASSIVE. I couldn’t finish the burger let alone the mountain of fries. Damien was super nice and his service was fast and helpful.

Had late lunch there! Loved the food, great atmosphere and the staff were so outstanding! They were very attentive when it started to rain and ensured everyone was kept dry! Great selection of beer. Service was quick, prices reasonable.

Fantastic place with great selection of beers. Came back every day while staying in Paris. The food was also superb - pasta and burgers were great. The staff is very welcoming and kind, special thanks to Ryan who was super nice - we asked him if we could buy 2 glasses of a Parisian beer we really enjoyed and after checking with his boss they gave them to us for free. The cherry on top was the awesome metal music they were playing(I came to Paris to see Gojira) which was the right volume for easily having a conversation.
