WOW had the roasted Scottish salmon steak. Best fish ever. The drinks were good also. Mixed better than any drink I've had. This place was amazing. Wish I had this resturaunt connected to my house. Thanks for the great dinner!

A charming, well-established spot popular with visitors. Our waitress kindly recommended the curry, which turned out milder than expected (less adventurous palates might enjoy it!). The steak was a classic, well-prepared dish, while the famous crepes truly delighted. Despite some language gaps, the team’s attentiveness shone through.

It was such a great experience! Everything in the restaurant was delicious and tasty. The desserts were the best part of the evening. I made a reservation beforehand as it was quite busy inside, but there were also tables outside. The service was really good and I will definitely go again. Thank you!

Great food and a pleasant ambiance, but table service left room for improvement. Also, this legendary restaurant seems to have lost a part of it’s former charm.
La Coupole is a classic restaurant, established in 1927, and we have fond memories of several visits back in 2012. However, it feels like the place has lost some of its classical identity. The iconic “Coupole” dome ceiling is now just plain white, the famous lamb curry is no longer served tableside from a cart by a traditional looking server - just to name a few.
We also noticed frequent birthday celebrations, which involve a somewhat generic routine: a fake cake with oversized candles and staff singing, which felt more like a chain restaurant experience than the unique tradition we remembered. Also, we found the payment QR code off-putting for a restaurant that used to be a (classic) pilgrimage (we had to ask for a receipt and to pay cash). Table service was rushed and clumsy (e.g. frequent wine spillage on the table cloth), but perhaps the waiter had an off day as he’d been working there for over 2 decades (which is a positive sign).
While La Coupole remains an ok spot to visit, it no longer feels like the special destination it once was for us and has become more mainstream. Next time we’re in town, we’ll probably look elsewhere.

Very disappointed by the food.
We had a plateau de fruit de mer, the crab was extremely small, and langoustine and lobster had no taste.
As for the food, the only nice thing was the foie gras. Thé oignon soup, meat, tartare; liver, escargots… were mediocre
The crème Suzette were uneatable. We complain to the waiter who denied and said it was normal. We actually came here 4 days earlier and there were actually nice ( reason why we came back).
Basically, disappointed by food and experience.
Overall I don’t recommend anymore.
I feel like there are so much more bistrot in Paris with better food.

A fantastic venue for the performing arts. Enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere of a local movie theater while assisting to national level performances. Fantastic show yesterday with Le Penseur where a real scupltor reflects on Rodin's work.

This theatre is one of my favourite in Paris. With his cinema, his restaurant, his bar, his bookshop and of cours his shows, this cultural place is full of life and a warm atmosphere. And you can have very advantagous prices thanks to their different tariff (senior, -26y...).
I leave here a note for Les Joues Rouge, a brilliant theatre company, which had astonished me with it rendition of L'Écume des Jours, and which enthousiasted me once again tonight with it adaptation of Bel-Ami.

Affordable bar & eatery to hang out either before or after a film or theatre. Cool area too. Cinema screens aren’t particularly large however good enough for films that are no longer in the larger cinemas. They could have installed better seats…

Enjoyed the bar very much. The service was ok, didn’t quite like the hygiene from the girl behind the bar tho - while watching how my cocktails are made, buuuut the rest was top.
I loved the smoke place, I’m just into cigars and I really enjoyed everything there. Will visit again when I’m in Paris, and I recommend the place for sure :)

Cocktails are fine. Waiter was super friendly. Air condition inside was not so good, so we went outside to enjoy the drinks but of course we then couldn't hear the music well. If you want to smoke cigars, this can be done in a different room which is very nice towards the other guests

It is an average place in my opinion. Not a very large selection of soft drinks and snacks. People are nice though and very kind. Wanted to
Spend an evening dancing salsa but only 4 people danced in total. Music doesn’t vary much but after all I would say it’s an ok place

The food was great! Both in terms of quantity and quality. We absolutely loved "Pollo Asado a la Cubana con arroz congrí". The food was very filling and a great deal with most dishes being between 15-17 euros. The cuban sangria was great as well! The people were very welcoming.

Wow… 🤯 amazing no frills steak restaurant. No frills? No menu! You get a side salad, a steak, and chips. 😋 The steak and chips comes in two servings. Then a choice of dessert - which is guaranteed pure filth! 🤩 No bookings - if they’re full, you queue until a table comes free. Genius.
Alan D. Duncan - a week ago
Honestly one of the most overrated places I’ve ever been to in Paris. There’s no menu — they just serve you salad, steak with a “secret” sauce, and fries. That’s it. No options, no customization.
The steak was chewy and bland. The sauce everyone raves about? Tasted like a strange mustard-herb gravy — definitely not my thing. Fries were average at best. You do get a second portion, but it doesn’t make up for the lack of quality.
The place is super crowded, noisy, and rushed. Staff are efficient but not friendly, and you’re basically in and out like it’s a cafeteria. Feels more like a tourist trap than a real Parisian restaurant.
There are way better spots in the city for steak or a proper French meal. Wouldn’t go back.

For many years I wanted to come here and now was the time. It is not the fanciest restaurant nor the one with the most exquisite taste. But it is a very amazing option to eat not that expensively, in the center of Paris, with food that I would categorise as a B/B+.
The environment is worthy of it all… the Parisian feeling, the balcony, the design and architecture ♥️ The service is fast, employees are kind, happy and super helpful (just be nice and not those up-nosed tourists)!
Undoubtedly a very good experience to repeat and recommend 🙏🏼

A place of one main dish, a place for steak lover.
You would get to order rare level and drink. Portion of the steak could be seen as two dishes. They have got your set in a tray and serve on the dish as per photo, when you finish, they will come in filling up the rest. It worked like that for our visit. So eat bread properly because the real portion is not just one dish per person. 😁😁 We went there two days in a row; the first day was too busy and numbers of queue were standing. We had to leave and came back again. Luckily didnt have to wait.

The best! This restaurant is a MUST! always a lineup but if you come early before opening you will get a seat very quickly and the line does move fairly quickly.
Everyone is served the exact same salad 🥗 and then you choose your desired steak 🥩 cooking preference. Side of fries.
The salad has a horseradish kick to it - I really enjoy it and normally I don’t enjoy horseradish ! But I really like this salad !
The meat is melt in your mouth - and the secret sauce is to die for it’s like a buttery delicious heavenly experience.
The fries are my favourite ever. Perfectly thin and crispy.
The best part is they give you a second portion of steak and fries !!!! And generous also ! You feel so satisfied after this meal
The steak fries and salad and bread - 29 euros 💶
You can add wine and dessert at an additional cost.
I highly recommend the apple dessert I had it was phenomenal just perfect.
Enjoy ! I can’t wait to go back !

It's hard to get a table at this restaurant, but it's definitely worth fighting for one.
We had a full spectrum of dishes, from fish to pasta, and I can confidently say that La Rotonde serves excellent food. Everything was fresh, fragrant, and served without delay. I particularly enjoyed the aperitif. A special mention to the chef for the Smoked Haddock in Cream and Butter – the waiter tried to steer me away from this choice, thinking I wasn’t familiar with the dish, but I actually know it very well from the UK, where I worked. I love this dish, and the French chef made it even better than the versions I've had several times in London or Manchester. Delicious.
However, the biggest discovery of the evening for me was the wine. I really regret not writing down its name, but it was outstanding – a red wine (rich, bold flavor profile with lingering fruitiness and a soft, velvety texture in the end -WOW!), and by far the best I've ever had in a restaurant. I love sweet things, so as usual, I ordered dessert.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The Mont Blanc dessert, although it looked fantastic, turned out to be simply unappetizing in taste – this dish definitely needs improvement.
I would have given La Rotonde 5 stars if it weren't for the dessert.
I highly recommend this place, despite prices being about 20% above average – it's worth it, beautiful setting, professional service, and great food.

An institution and a must visit. English was not an issue. This place very ornate and engaging. Our service was first class. Our hanger steak and Halibut were prepared perfectly. The real star was the Frisée salad. Omg! We had the profiterole for dessert. The ice cream and chocolate were incredible. Prices were very reasonable. The area around it also spectacular.

Our second trip. Love the lunch options, they are yummy and made in-house by people who obvi care about food! Each portion is about 7in in diameter, individually portioned, not cut from a larger quiche or something. We had the beef lasagne, a quiche, and something described as "french beef" in the English menu, but turned out to be sth like a shephard's pie -- tender beef under a layer of mashed potatoes. The only thing I would skip is the "chocolate cake" on the English menu -- it was a slice from a chocolate loaf cake, so not what I expected (also a bit dry). If they have the apricot tart however, you should 1000% get that. It's in a individual tart with only a little bit of almond paste and a lot of super fresh apricots and a touch of fresh rosemary. The best dessert we had on this trip!

Nice little café to stop by for a quick snack or a casual break. The fresh orange juice was surprisingly good and refreshing. Coffee was a bit of a letdown—lacked depth and flavor. Cookies and croissants were decent, exactly what you’d expect from a standard neighborhood spot. Not a destination café, but convenient and fine for a light bite. Quite noisy road just next to the outdoor seats

Warm and attentive service, atmosphere is good, but the new apricot tartelette tasted flat and overly sweet. The croissant was average.

Stopped off here for a quick take away and was super impressed. The food is of such quality and it might be paying a tiny bit more than you would in a basic patisserie but for the quality of the produce it is absolutely worth every cent.
The cinnamon bun was incredibly tasty and super soft and my son loved the really chunky chocolate cookie which was so filling. They also have a beautiful tea room and outdoor seating.

The service was Excellent and the food and drinks were Amazing. My Wife and I were visiting Paris for the first time, and I wanted to go to a place where the American Authors frequented. When I asked the Maitre D where F. Scott Fitzgerald would sit, he sat us in a nice booth next to the bar- he know exactly what I wanted. I ate snails for the first time so I would highly suggest those. The customers were also sophisticated and nicely dressed, relaxed, and all seemed to be in deep conversation- either about politics or literature or something academic. Honestly, I don't speak French but it still seemed like it could've been either of the aforementioned. No one talks loud, but just the right tone. And we all (the entire restaurant) enjoyed ourselves on that Saturday night, as if we were all on the same page. Our service was Excellent, and I'll definitely come back again. I miss and love Paris

an understated japanese restaurant in a quiet neighborhood with incredibly good food and great service... the menu is "simple" but allows for a wide variety of combinations... the food presentation is awesome... the serving size is filling... this is most certainly a place to visit in Paris.

Staff is nice. Portions are huge - even too big for a menu.
However, I found tall the plates somewhat boring. Nothing interesting for the price tag I eould have expected something more special in taste and presentation. 58eur menu and some choices are even extra on top and drinks plus.. could be a solid 4star for half the price

I’ve been to this cool pub on rue de, not boulevard du Montparnasse, a number times to enjoy their innumerable selection of beers, some very good food and service par excellence. Last September I had lunch there with my brother. I jokingly told the manager that I liked my beer glass so much that I was going to steal it. He laughed heartily. When I paid the bill, he gave me the glass, washed and dried, as a memento of our visit.
🤙🏽 Le Falstaff is a required stop on my Paris trips.
By the way, the glass made it home in one piece…
