We have been staying in this lovely boutique hotel every year since 2021. Just visited this month with family and booked 3 rooms. Staff are very helpful and friendly, Mariam, Oliver, Nila, Anna, Giles, Vikesh, Patric. Great crew. Fantastic location and supported by 3 eateries below. Hopefully the collaboration with the eateries will continue with the new ownership. Only issue that developed in this visit is the early morning utility truck noise which permeated through the window double glass sound proofing. Other than that, love this hotel and will keep coming back.

This hotel was recommended to us by two different friends so we were very excited to try it. We were completely underwhelmed, surprisingly. There appears to be two parts to the hotel and our room was in the part where you had to take the stairs to an elevator and then more stairs after you got off the elevator. The room is advertised as 29 square meters, or about 300 square feet but it is chopped up so much that it felt like 150 square feet. The decor was very dark and depressing , more reminiscent of a funeral parlor. The bathroom had been nicely updated but the shower was incredibly small, while there was a full bathtub - bad use of space, as the bathtub could have been a nice sized, normal shower. Had to sit sideways on the toilet, due to the angled walls. Breakfast was good, service was touchy depending upon the mood of the person working that day. I’m guessing our friends had different/better rooms, as I could never recommend this based on our experience.

If I could give the Relais Saint Germain 6 stars I would. I visit Paris about once a year for work - i stay 3 nights - and I always come back to this lovely little storybook hotel. It feels like just the right thing - authentically Parisian and quaint. Great location. Delicious local food served for your breakfast each morning. Staff are extremely kind and unpretentious -. I recently had a mistaken delivery at the hotel after my stay and Ana was so kind to help get the parcel back to me in Canada.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Relais Saint-Germain and can highly recommend it.
Special thanks to Gilles, a true professional. I had an urgent question and sent an email late at night, and I received a prompt and helpful response with a solution.
The room was spacious, clean, warm, and beautifully decorated in an authentic Parisian style, with a bathtub and a lovely view from the window. It was very quiet and comfortable, and I slept perfectly.
The breakfast was delicious and could be ordered to the room.
Overall, an excellent experience - 5 out of 5

Overall a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean, and smell good. Air condition works well. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The shower might be a bit uncomfortable for tall individuals and for those where accessibility might be an issue. One minor inconvenience for us was having to drop off and pickup the room key at the front desk every time you left and came back to the hotel. The elevator is extremely small with capacity for barely two people. A big plus was the location, and Nila, at the front desk, who was very pleasant, accommodating and very attentive to our needs. Overall, I recommend this hotel and would stay again.

I honestly rarely give 5 stars but this place 100% deserves it. The atmosphere, the decor of the restaurant was magnificent, the vibes were so good. Then came the food. I was a little skeptical at first because trying at another touristy place I was very disappointed, so I was very happily surprised that the food here was phenomenal! I had the cocktail prawns and avocado for starters, really good and the sauce that came with it was amazing. The langoustine ravioli was a little sad because there was only 1 but the taste was good. For mains I had the filet of sea bass with vegetables and it was utterly delicious. And a generous portion at that might I add. The vol-au vent was superb as well. The cheese platter was great too but the real highlight of my meal was this god damn pistachio ice cream. The best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. Downright disrespectful how good it was!! The mille feuille was excellent as well, and Arnauld was a great and friendly guy that made the meal just so much more memorable. Truly a 10/10 restaurant from ambiance to food to service, I have absolutely no complaints, and will most definitely be back for more.

This restaurant has a very historical vibe and is elegant. The decor and the atmosphere give a true historical French authentic feeling. It is pretty crowded almost always so do not expect to be in a very quiet and clam environment. We did not have reservations but since was outside of the busy hours we could easily get seated. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris and tourists go a lot.
The food was super tasty and authentic especially the snails, French onion, and the beef cheek were amazing dishes. It is more touristy and no problem with English menu or ordering.
The service was a bit slow which is the same we experienced in almost all Paris restaurants.

I have been recommended to dine at this place. Great experience, nice historical ambiance where it feels like museum. Food is nicely prepared with some classics and highlights like filet de boeuf, and vol-au-vent. You must taste the langoustine raviole which was my top No1 dish. Staff is also friendly, and polite. I will come back again. Thx

Visited for lunch. Luckily we were seated quickly with little waiting time as we did not make reservation.
The food was average as our expectations were high. The Escargot was really good and tasty. The Ravili Langostine was average. The Sole Mauniers was good but below expectations.
Service was not the best and order of serving the food was a miss by some junior waitress. This happened more than once.

Dining at Le Procope is more than just a meal; it is a step back in time. Established in 1686, it holds the prestigious title of being the oldest café-restaurant in Paris still in operation today.
The atmosphere is nothing short of breathtaking—the entire location feels like a living museum. Walking through its doors, you are surrounded by a rich, authentic history, standing where some of the most influential figures who shaped the arts and the very future of Europe once sat. It is truly humbling to know that names as legendary as Napoleon himself frequented these very rooms.
The experience is perfectly complemented by the cuisine, which is exceptional. The dishes are prepared with great care, featuring flawless cooking techniques and high-quality ingredients that honor the venue's storied past. To top it all off, the service is truly impeccable, making you feel well-cared for from start to finish.

We were only in Paris for a week, but my wife and I decided to try every single restaurants onion soup and they were the best. All the food we had here was great but, I'll remember that soup. Not to forget to mention they had the most custardy and decadent creme brulee we had while in France, no where else compared. I'd go back here again for those two dishes alone. The pork I had was fantastic and had loads of garlic which I love, my wife had a delicious pasta with pesto. We ate on the second floor in lush red chairs in a quiet comfortable setting that was only a short walk from our hotel. Was fantastic.

I went on my very first day in Paris without a reservation, and despite that, they immediately helped me and found me a table. Since I had just arrived after a long journey, I didn’t want to eat anything too heavy. I asked for vegetarian options, and the waiter recommended the classic French onion soup and a curry main course.
The onion soup was truly delicious. The presentation was beautiful and the aroma was perfectly balanced. However, it tasted a bit too intense and broth-heavy for me. When I mentioned to the waiter that the soup wasn’t actually vegetarian since it contained beef broth, he replied, “That’s how French onion soup is made.” 😊
The curry main course, on the other hand, was excellent. The balance of flavors was very well executed. The rice served on the side was so hot that I burned my mouth — perhaps it could be rested slightly before serving.
The atmosphere of the place is very impressive. It’s quite busy and full of energy. It seems to be especially popular among Parisian locals, with a slightly older crowd that is nevertheless incredibly lively. There is a constant flow of people, giving the place a vibrant, social, and truly “real Paris” feeling. The staff were very kind, attentive, and professional.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to feel the Saint-Germain spirit, enjoy a local brasserie experience, and dine in a high-quality atmosphere.

We attended a business dinner with a valued customer.
The restaurant boasts exquisite decor and exudes an inviting and lively atmosphere.
The service was exceptionally professional and amiable.
Regrettably, the food did not meet my expectations. While it was presented professionally and had an appealing appearance, the taste was lacking. The onion soup was bland and lacked the rich, caramelised flavour that is essential for this dish. The “French Duck Confit Parmentier, Full-bodied Jus, Small Fresh Herb Salad” was overcooked and somewhat dry, as if it had been reheated multiple times.
On the positive side, my dessert, a “Fig Shortbread, Mascarpone Cream,” was excellent and met the standards I expect from a French restaurant.

A friend we hadn't seen for many years booked a table for us for dinner. It was wonderful in every way. Great food, excellent red wine, wonderful surroundings and a chance to catch up after so long. I would recommend Les Editeurs without hesitation.

If you are looking for a quintessentially Parisian evening that feels both elevated and incredibly "cozy," Les Éditeurs in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district is an absolute gem.
The Atmosphere
The standout feature of this restaurant is undoubtedly its decor. It is beautifully styled like a classic library, with walls lined with books and warm lighting that creates an intimate, scholarly charm. It manages to feel sophisticated without being stuffy—the kind of place where you want to linger over your drinks for hours.
The Service
The staff strike the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. We felt well-cared for from the moment we walked in; the service was attentive and polished, yet they maintained a welcoming energy that matched the warmth of the room.
The Food & Drink
The menu is a fantastic representation of high-quality French bistro fare.
* Cocktails: We started with cocktails that were expertly crafted—balanced, creative, and the perfect start to the meal.
* The Highlight: The foie gras was the undisputed star of the night. It was rich, velvety, and prepared to perfection.
* Main Courses: Across the board, the food was consistently great, showcasing fresh ingredients and classic techniques.
Verdict
Whether you are a book lover or just a lover of great French cuisine, Les Éditeurs is a must-visit. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a quiet, high-end meal in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris.

Wonderful lunch at this traditional Paris bistro. Classic French dishes prepared to decadent standard. I still savor the duck with olives and frog legs which were divine. Excellent wine selection also with knowledgeable staff.

The Alain Ducasse owned Allard, is one of those timeless Left Bank institutions that seem to have captured the essence of old Paris without trying. I started with escargots, rich with garlicky parsley butter, followed by ris de veau, tender and golden. Each bite was deep and comforting, the flavours familiar yet indulgent.
The wine, le Merle Blanc de Château Clarke 2023 was bright and elegant, a beautiful pairing that carried the meal effortlessly. I finished with a plate of cheese: a blue, a goat, and a washed rind, each with its own quiet personality.
It’s the quality of service that makes the difference between a good and great restaurant and the service at Allard was brilliant.
Well done to the team at Allard for making my last Parisian dinner of this trip so memorable.

I think this is probably the best service I’ve had in Paris by far, excellent team. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful. The food was amazing, the foie gras with cherries and their famous duck are something you cannot miss. I would highly recommend this for anyone and come hungry. Even better with a group of 3-4 to try more things since the duck is quite large. Overall 10/10

An unforgettable dining experience at Allard a truly classic and historic Parisian restaurant. We loved the Homard bleu rafraîchi, the Escargots en coquilles, the Filet de bœuf doré, sauce aux poivres, and the Turbot façon Dugléré. Every dish was full of distinctive flavors, and the service was simply excellent.
A timeless Parisian gem that I highly recommend

A multi screen cinema showing the latest movies in French. Different sizes, some rooms are nice enough but some are rather small and uncomfortable. One would expect better but cinemas in Paris are rarely much better!

Very well run establishment, very kind helpful team running the place . We witnessed the support and assistance offered to a handicapped person in need of help; very immediate response to needs, going as far as to help them into the theatre, find the right seat comfortably , unrushed, and without pressure…
Venue was well kept, the temperatures as one would hope, the bathrooms clean (paper towel would be a plus), and the clientele matched : they found a wallet and left it at the box office to be recuperated by us about an hour later much to our surprise and delight.. thank you for restoring our faith in the kindness of strangers…. We were there to see screening of Yesterday - how fitting!
Thank You, look forward to visiting you again soon

Average cinema experience with room for improvement
UGC Danton in Paris offers a standard cinema experience. The cinema is clean and comfortable, but there is nothing particularly special about it. The staff are friendly but could be more attentive. Visitors are more likely to experience a decent movie-watching experience with nothing particularly memorable about it.
What makes UGC Danton special is its location. It's conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easily accessible to locals and tourists alike. However, for each star lacking, there are areas where UGC Danton can improve. One star is deducted for the lack of unique features and amenities that would make the cinema stand out from its competitors. Another star is deducted for the quality of the snacks and drinks, which could be improved. Lastly, another star is deducted for the lack of innovation in the overall cinema experience.
To improve the cinema experience, UGC Danton could consider offering more premium amenities like reclining seats, a better selection of snacks, and more engaging pre-show entertainment. Additionally, they could consider offering special discounts or promotions to attract more customers.
Overall, while UGC Danton is an average cinema, there is certainly room for improvement. If you're looking for a simple cinema experience without any frills, UGC Danton is a good choice. However, for those seeking a more elevated cinema experience, there are better options available.

I visited Vagenende with my family for an early dinner while on vacation and had a lovely meal. The restaurant staff offered a warm welcome and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Marco was our host and he was absolutely wonderful! He was kind, friendly, and offered great insights and suggestions - we could not have been better attend to. The food was delicious; it was prepared extremely well and the portion size was very filling. We were very glad to have stopped by and hope to return in the future!

Great ambiance, best most friendly service. The reason for 4 on the food is that dessert (chocolate mousse) was too sweet, not the right consistency and disappointing for French standards. Otherwise, fantastic all around.

Classy French cuisine. It's open from 12 so it's easy to find a table during the day.
The interior is very nice and the service is top notch.

If only I hadn't gotten involved in eating at more trending places (trending in the culinary sense).
Vagenende is one of a handful of restaurants that, for me, embody the best of French cuisine. Reliable and varied menu. My partner is a big fan of locally smoked herring - and they had the best he's ever had in Paris.
Staff is so nice. They are not stuffy. You can have 5 appetizers if that is your wish. Or any other order of things. It is open all day. It's quiet in mid-afternoon. The Belle Epoque/Art Nouveau interior is exquisite. Great boulevard, near to the haunts of some of the literary greats.
Anyway, the food is amazing. In addition to the herring, my partner had the marrow bone (which he had several places in Paris and pronounced this to be the best). I had a salad with poached egg and lardons. On a return trip, I had the rock fish soup (rich but not hearty or filling, a perfect first course).
We shared mains. Cantal cheeseburger with house made bun and excellent french fries. Traditional Alsatian sauerkraut with sausage made just down the street. Cod with mashed potatoes.
The first time we ate there, it was our only meal of the day. I don't recall which wines, but the house wines were excellent. So we had the homemade profiteroles for dessert.
Years of dining in Paris on annual vacations and this restaurant is a stand-out.

It’s almost perfect but it’s just not thaaaaat good for a 5 stars, sorry. Still, one of the few places you can eat poutine in Paris, the place was decorated with all the canadian stuff, felt very cute. The poutine was close enough to authentic poutine, the cheese was exactly like how you’d get in canada, i love it. And the drinks were actually good too, would recommend to try if you miss poutine in Paris!

When I arrived in Paris for exchange, I felt I'd made the biggest mistake of my life. I had no friends, nothing familiar to rely on, and couldn't watch NFL football on my computer. Little did I know that this misfortune would make the next four months in Paris for me.
I went to the Moose nearly every Sunday while living in Paris. The first time I went, it was only to watch the Lions game. The atmosphere, however, was so electric I started coming back every Sunday. I had only just started watching football when I moved and barely understood the rules, but I learned them by eavesdropping on the other bargoers. Every week I met new kind and interesting people. The staff knew me and greeted me, and no matter how bad my week was– and I had a lot of hard weeks– they would always end a little better than they started after Sunday night at the Moose.
I took my family here when they visited. I celebrated Thanksgiving here with new friends. I left my umbrella one night and came back nearly a week later to find they'd held onto it for me. Living in a foreign country had me scared and lonely, but this was a place where I always felt welcome. The Moose truly made my time in Paris
Also, the drinks and food are always on point. I recommend the pecan pie and espresso martini :)

Very nice atmosphere...felt like I was back home. Poutine was loaded with cheese curds. THE Spicy Margherita was the spiciest one I ever had in my life and it was great. Met a nice couple at the next table from the states (wife originally from Montreal) and she recognized the sens logo on my t shirt.

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were genuinely lovely and very attentive, which made us feel welcome straight away. The fried frog legs were incredible and the only place I found them in Paris. They were so good that I came back three times during my trip. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Paris, especially if you want to try something traditional. The snails in the wine sauce were also excellent and full of flavour.

My daughter and I visited here during our recent trip to Paris, we were given a very warm welcome, quick service and delicious food. We were given a basket of complimentary bread with our meal, which was replenished when we had eaten it all. We shared fried frogs legs and escargot for starter, then the frog burger with fries and sausage & mashed potatoes for the main. If we had been staying longer, we would definitely have gone back for another meal.

On a not-too-cold Saturday afternoon in February, I visited the Japanese restaurant Azabu in Paris and was lucky enough to get a seat at the counter, where the chef prepared the dishes right in front of us. The ingredients looked incredibly fresh and were skillfully transformed into beautiful dishes before our eyes. I tried the fish and vegetables, along with a type of sake recommended by the host. It was a truly wonderful experience — the staff were so welcoming, the space was small, cozy, and very clean. Although it’s not inexpensive, it is absolutely worth the price!

I’ve known Azabu since 2012, and this is my first time writing a review of the place.
Azabu offers traditional Teppanyaki from Kyoto, and the moment you walk in, you feel transported. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and I always choose to sit at the chef’s table — watching the chef meticulously prepare each dish is a performance in itself.
The quality of the ingredients is outstanding. Every recipe is crafted with top-tier produce, and the presentation is always elegant.
Their sake selection is excellent — they’re constantly sourcing new labels to introduce. The wine and beer list is equally well-curated.
And the desserts? Simply out of this world.
I’ve always loved the experience and the way we’re treated here. You feel at home. You feel cared for.
Thank you, Azabu, once again!

we had a 4-hour long girls dinner here at the big table (thanks for letting us staying long..!), and the food was liked by every of us. we all had set menu, big portion from the starter to dessert. miso tuna and lamb were well cooked and fairly fresh! dessert is a bonus. authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris.

This is another difficult review to write. Azabu has a lot of things going for it, staff are wonderful, the venue is great and the ambiance is perfect, especially when you're dining outside on a nice night. However....Azabu puts themselves on the upper end of the scale with their pricing. An average "menu" will cost you 45€ without refreshments. With just two glasses, you are likely walking out of dinner paying north of 60 euros. Having said that, the expectations is the food will be like everything else, wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't find the food to be anything beyond mediocre. The starters while being presented perfectly, were lacking any real character. The "amuse bouche" was also just flat. Two of us had the Wagyu beef and honestly, it was either overcooked and too chewy. Finally the dessert which was a green tea cake was dry. I am not going to advise others to avoid the place, it seems there are a lot of positive reviews and we could have been there when the chef wasn't having his best day. For me though I won't return as the pricing was far too high for food of this quality.

Appetiser, starter, and dessert are good, sashimi is fresh and tasty. The main course - that’s the star of the show. Had white fish and baby duck for plat, both are cooked to perfect tenderness with a lightly charred flavours, coupled with unique sauce and side dishes.
Do book in advance.

I found this cozy place when I was wondering in the neighborhood. I liked the vibe inside. You need to order your food in the front and take your tray upstairs to eat.
I ordered roasted beef sandwich. The bread was perfect. It was freshly baked and crunchy. The beef and other ingredients were ok (that’s why I gave 4 for the food)

In a city full of some of the best restaurants and bakeries in the world, this was among one of my best culinary experiences in Paris to date. Their bread is delicious and their selection of salads was covetable - I wish there was some more places like this in London. A simple concept but so, so well executed.

Perfect healthy lunch stop for delicious, fresh food and beautiful music. Big fan of this concept and sure to come back.
My “everything but” salad with roasted vegetables hit the spot perfectly and tuned me up for my afternoon - all for €12, couldn’t ask for more. Bravo

Delicious hot fresh foccacia sandwiches.
I love all the options they have; so this will suit anyone.
You can see the bread being baked fresh. And then again after they put in the toppings.
I went with the Stonker; which is fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, arugula and olive oil. I made them add balsamic as well which made it even better.
€9 is a steal for such a big sandwich.
Order first and then lots of place to sit and eat upstairs.
Must visit in Paris.

Cosi (left bank Paris) is one of my favorite sandwich shops. The roast beef “cheesy English” with fresh bread is my go-to selection!
But the rest of their menu is equally delicious!
There is a wonderful dining hall upstairs if you want to relax while dining in, or if preferred, to-go options are handled expeditiously! In fact, their sandwiches are perfect for travelers!
Highly recommend!
