Just a very solid restaurant- the small, hard working staff was friendly and attentive and the food was well prepared. My duck breast with blueberry sauce was a warm pink perfection - not dry or chewy. The blueberry sauce was only slightly sweet with a tartness that really paired well with the duck. My wife's fish was also well prepared and tasty. The vegetables were a little over cooked but well seasoned. Prices seemed very appropriate.

A cute place in st.louis my sister went to before and decided to return together. We all enjoyed the dinner very much, friendly services and great dishes. The whole place smelled like truffle (which I love but not for some other people). Had an artichoke salad and duck fillets. Really well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend.

We've been there on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the food of the day option and a vegetable plate, both are recommendable. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly.

Ever since eating here last year, I've wanted to come back, primarily because of one dish: their signature Chateaubriand with their sauce au poivre. After what felt like years of waiting and salivating just thinking about that beauty of a dish, the time finally came to taste it again - and it did not disappoint.
First and foremost, their escargot (although pricey at a hefty 24€ for 6 snails) is wonderfully seasoned. But watch out for ones that aren't submerged in that glorious garlic butter. Their escargot is really the golden standard of Paris, in my opinion.
Next, the aforementioned Chateaubriand (52€ for a 250g steak + sauce and fries). Man, their sauce really elevates an otherwise decent Chateaubriand steak to another level. The au poivre sauce made with black pepper is sooo delicious I could literally swim in a tub of it. It's that good. The fries on the side are also pretty great. Don't get the truffle mayo, though. At 4€ a pop, it's not worth it.
The salmon is good. No notes. The salad ain't worth the price (6€ for a little bowl), though.
Finally, their gelato flight is refreshing. Especially their mango one.
Ultimately, our bill came out to a flat 150€ for two. It is definitely worth noting that this is a fancy restaurant in a great "coin" of Paris with a great view and wonderful service, all of which will amount to a big bill at the end.
But if you want my opinion, the Chateaubriand dish alone makes the trip here worthwhile. Next time I come to Paris, Chez Julien is a must-visit for me.

It was incredible! The staff were so lovely and attentive + they’re so classy/elegant. We weren’t in the main restaurant, but in a much more intimate space, which was fun as we got to do people watching. I love that they bring out lots of bread, good menu to choose from. We had the chateaubriand with some veggies- they’re really good with allergies, as I have a Nut allergy & I’m GF. We will be back in summer, especially to try everything with truffle, if you are a truffle lover, you are in the right place!!

This is the best food experience we had on our 6 week holiday. It was pricey, but the service, atmosphere and food made it worth it.
We shared the “jouno” for entree and it was magnificent. Tomatoes and soft boiled Egg in some sort of burrata emulsion.
For mains my wife had the Truffle Linguini and loved it. We’ve had mixed experiences with truffle where it is overpowering or just “truffle oil” masquerading as the real thing. This was the real thing and not overpowering at all.
I opted for the Chataeubriand (250g steak) and frites, with sides of seasonal vegetables. Cooked to perfection.
We shared the warm chocolate cake for dessert and it rounded out a perfect experience.
Highly recommend.

We had been told about Chez Julian and booked for dinner. We were not disappointed. Everything was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, the decor sublime and atmosphere perfect. The food was well presented, such a special dinner. We shared the starter of avocado, crab & prawns, stunning. Mains - duck & tuna tartare, both very tasteful. Desserts were wonderful - rice pudding & strawberries - a great combo and sorbets, beautifully presented and sharp flavours. If you chose Chez Julian you will eat well.

I went here on a recommendation from family who used to live in Paris.
We had breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. A simple omelette, coffee, and yogurt with granola. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful, and the service was fantastic - very friendly. (I don’t recommend getting “American bacon” anywhere in Paris… that is not place-specific.)
Looking forward to going back soon!

My girlfriend and I came back to Don Giovanni after being in Paris 4 years ago, with a vivid memory of this authentic Italian trattoria. Although we already knew this place was good, our second visit surpassed our expectations. Amazing Italian cuisine, great wine and above all extraordinary service. Our waitress was lovely. I’d immediately recommend this place to anyone staying in Paris.

We Were So grateful with Giovanni and Lorenzo service. The environment was very calm and friendly. they allowed us to stay even longer in the restaurant, even though we were the last ones because the weather was bad. We really appreciated their patience and support.

I come to Paris twice per year and always come here. I sit at a tiny table outside and it’s always the loveliest meal. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I recommend it to everyone!

The pasta dishes were all delicious, making me want to come back and try more varieties!
The veal was slightly greasy.
The tiramisu was very tasty; it would have been even better with more ladyfingers!

Absolutely fabulous❤️🤌🏻
This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌
Staff is super friendly!
Service 10/10
Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it)
Food 11/10
Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu!
They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼♂️
Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris!

Absolutely amazing experience.
Fantastic food, beautiful atmosphere, and outstanding live opera performances.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday, and the singers came to our table to perform for her — a truly unforgettable moment.
Highly recommended for a special occasion in Paris.

Honestly incredible experience, service and food last night. The singing was outstanding!!!! We went with our 3 year old daughter too and they were very accommodating and went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable which I have heard is unusual in Paris at dinner service with kids. I had a very special birthday here would 100% recommend.

Wow, this place was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the experience was truly memorable. I didn’t have time for a full opera event, but this was the perfect blend of both worlds. The lovely voices filled my heart with joy as I savored each bite and sip of my drink. It was a truly delightful evening. They even allowed my daughter to sing! Highlight of my vacation.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The decor is theatre-like with heavy curtains, and the nice red lamps on the table. The welcoming staff is nice and smiling. We went on a Wednesday and had the full lyrical menu for half the price. We loved being “serenaded” with arias of different, well-known opera plays. They took especially good care of an old gentleman who had his birthday that night. The food was truly good, full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris! They only bring red quality salmon and their prices are medium (almost the same with a normal sushi place in the city).
Almost everything in the menu is excellent, but I highly recommend the Shake and Shake Nagi. I also love the edamame, and in this place they really taste like the original Japanese ones. As a soft drink I recommend the green tea without sugar or if it’s in the winter the hot green tea (excellent!). For desert you need to the mochi (the one with green tea!)! Photos with all these attached.
Location is excellent, just next to Hôtel de Ville and close to Notre Dame, which makes it a very good place to stop for lunch or dinner, in between tourist activities.
Since the size of the restaurant is quite small (around 36-40 places) their interior design is simple and clean with many Japanese like ornaments.
I also attached photos of the menu (23.06.2019).
Overall, I highly recommend this place.

We've been here twice this week and really enjoyed sitting at the comfortable bar. We did duck nems (like egg rolls), which were delicious and I also enjoyed their specialty Tigre qui Pleure. Le Louis Philippe in Paris is an absolute gem of a French restaurant. The food is exceptional from start to finish, with every dish showcasing authentic flavors and beautiful craftsmanship. The oysters are incredibly fresh, the frog legs are perfectly prepared and full of delicate flavor, and the octopus is cooked to tender perfection — truly standout dishes that highlight the kitchen’s talent.
The staff is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and effortlessly cool, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that elevates the entire dining experience. Their wine selection is also excellent, offering a thoughtful variety that pairs wonderfully with the menu.

We had dinner here on our third evening in Paris. We were seated on the enclosed patio which was great to enjoy the evening's activity. Michael stated with gravlax salmon and dill, for the entrees I had the Louis Phillip burger made with French Aubrac Beef which is on par with Kobe & Wagyu Beef and fries, Michael had the Duck Magret de canard with a lovely bottle of red wine.

What a wonderful restaurant in Paris. We were immediately seated and service was quick. Great suggestions by the waiter and extraordinary nice and patient. We took the dive to try Escargot for the first time, and they cooked it to perfection. The beef bourguignon was very good. The atmosphere... If I could give a 10, I would watching the hustle and bustle of Paris from the patio was perfection. Next time we go to Paris, this will be a stop !

Might be the best gelato I’ve ever had, and I spent two weeks in Italy one summer… I’m not sure what they put into it that makes it so good, maybe it’s just how beautiful they make it look when scooping it but it was absolutely divine. We actually visited two locations and staff were amazing at both. My aunt is also gluten free and was able to get a cone!! I’ll be thinking about this gelato every time I want something sweet!

A great ice cream shop with fresh, delicious flavours! The staff was very eager to hep us with flavours and created a beautiful flower-shape serving! Here, one does not order number of scoops but rather how big cup/cone they want. Then the staff fills it up with ice cream 😜 A great option for late-night (and not only) ice cream cravings!

Was shown this place 30yrs ago by a former Pan Am Pilot (we both worked for Delta by this point). Been back many times since. I no longer fly for living (mandatory retirement age 65). Two weeks ago I was dining at Clint Eastbound’s inspired restaurant in Carmel, CA. Last week I was on Main Street Park City, Utah. Just happened to see my former Airline had seats back and forth Cincinnati to Paris so I hopped a ride. So I had to fit a L’îlot Vache in. Pablo presides over the main dining room like a true master. I had my belt beloved escargot (always a dozen) with lots of sauce to dip my bread. Followed this with the chicken that came with browned potatoes and a Dijon dipping sauce. All very tasty and cooked to perfection. I ended with upside down apple tart. Came in a little late but was never rushed out. I felt welcomed from beginning to end. Of special not was how Pablo knew about my Cincinnati Bengals football team and our great quarterback, Joe Borrow. I think he’s more of a Broncos fan. Small world indeed.

We got here early at 12 and were the first customers. The service was great and the staff is very kind. We had the $31 lunch option and got main course and desert. The food was good and the steak was well cooked to a medium (which in my country would be medium rare). The atmosphere was alright, the cow vibe isn’t for everyone and it didn’t help that we were the only ones there. The desert was alright, my crème brule had to much sugar and not all was melted. My partners apple desert was however amazing!

Here I had probably the best dinner during my stay in Paris. Despite our arrival quite late, we were greeted by the stuff amd managed to try some classics of french cuisine deliciously prepared: the Oeuf et Bourguingnon and Confit de Canard were unbelievably tasty and well prepared.

A hidden gem in the heart of Paris!
L’Îlot Vache is a charming, cozy restaurant that perfectly captures the spirit of French hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is intimate and rustic, with just the right touch of elegance—ideal for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and rich with authentic French flavors. The duck confit was tender and flavorful, and the tarte Tatin was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Their wine selection is thoughtful and pairs perfectly with the menu.
Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations in English when needed.
If you’re looking for a true Parisian dining experience away from the tourist traps, L’Îlot Vache is not to be missed. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris!

Don't bother going anywhere else for boeuf bourguignon or onion soup, this is the only place you need to visit. This restaurant set the standards for our entire trip in Paris. The staff were professional, friendly, and efficient. We arrived 20 minutes earlier than our reservation time and were promptly seated. The food was flavourful and everything we expected it to be. We enjoyed the main and side so much that we ordered the vanilla bourbon creme brulee too, which was a delight. Came back a second time and the manager remembered us. The waiter in spectacles who served us was really attentive and friendly, though we didn't manage to get his name because he was busy tending to other customers, we would really like to thank him for his hospitality. Do try to make a reservation before coming because it is really quite popular. Many walk-in customers were turned away during peak dinner time.

Enjoyed everything about our meal at this restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended! The host helping us could not find our reservation, and I was baffled until I pulled up the confirmation email only to discover that I had somehow mixed up the time and arrived at 8:00 pm instead of 7:30 pm. Our host was so kind, he went to check and through sheer luck, found an outdoor seat facing the sidewalk. We couldn’t have been more elated.
We ordered the foie gras as an appetizer, and each got the beef bourguignon and crème brûlée for dessert. The beef bourguignon was rich and full of beef, potatoes, and carrots. It was a comforting and satisfying dish. The crème brûlée was the perfect way to end the night.
Later in the evening, it started to rain. I don’t know what rain-detecting powers the staff had, but before we even felt a single drop, they alerted us and quickly helped move our table and chairs back. We didn’t feel a drop of rain the entire time. We were very pleased with the attentive staff and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

My friend invited me to this restaurant and promised me a great experience. It was superb indeed.
The food was not from this world. Both of us ordered their signature dish - the beef Bourguignon, and it was splendid.
We also ordered the onion soup and another starter which contains foie gras, mushrooms, and duck breast.
All items are very resonably priced given the high quality of the food. I will definitely come back agaib to this lovely restaurant.

So good that we came here twice for dinner in our 4 nights in Paris! Very tourist friendly but not a tourist trap. All the waitstaff speak English and are so friendly and dedicated to their job. Paul was our server for both nights and he was a 10000/10! Very attentive, funny, personable and just plain adorable. Our favourite dishes were the beef bourguignon, ham terrine, roasted sea scallops and crème brûlée! The best we’ve ever had! All the food was so refined, balanced, flavourful, fresh and beautifully presented.

We made a reservation for this place on a whim and it is definitely recommended. It gets filled up fast so definitely make a reservation. The service was decent, the servers not toooo attentive but they are funny when they’re interacting with each other.
The food was delicious! The steak was cooked how I wanted it and was really good. The au jus went really well with the steak and the potatoes were good. The French onion soup was delicious and the fish was top notch as well.
The ambiance is great, small little fresh restaurant with a big area that is hidden.
Only complaint is the pricing vs the portion sizes especially if most/everything was sourced locally. Besides that, everything was 9/10!
