A cute place in st.louis my sister went to before and decided to return together. We all enjoyed the dinner very much, friendly services and great dishes. The whole place smelled like truffle (which I love but not for some other people). Had an artichoke salad and duck fillets. Really well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend.

Just a very solid restaurant- the small, hard working staff was friendly and attentive and the food was well prepared. My duck breast with blueberry sauce was a warm pink perfection - not dry or chewy. The blueberry sauce was only slightly sweet with a tartness that really paired well with the duck. My wife's fish was also well prepared and tasty. The vegetables were a little over cooked but well seasoned. Prices seemed very appropriate.

Just came in to grab a glass of wine; kids were tired so we didn't eat but the menu looked excellent. Very kind and attentive owner who made sure everyone was taken care of. Would love to come back to eat on our next trip!

We've been there on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the food of the day option and a vegetable plate, both are recommendable. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly.

Came around 13.10 on a hot Saturday June 28th 2026 in a party of 4 for lunch. My son and my daughter love their first experience at this restaurant last winter and wanted to come back again. We walked more than thirty to get here. Stayed outdoor in the shadow with a little breeze. The service was quite slow from and after ordering even in the outdoor section that we were, we were the only table. We ordered two half dozen escargots which were exquisite. Big size escargot with good sauce right salted. The steak was succulent with mouth watering sauce. The full roasted chicken was absolutely delicious and finger licking. The saumon tartare was fresh but the sauce has room for improvement. When we were about to finish the main course the sun came full angle and we were feeling “roasted” with the breeze that was suddenly missing. The waiter didn’t want to bring down the awning so the table besides us left and didn’t take their dessert. We moved indoor because we couldn’t cancel our dessert. The cheesecake was great with the right sweetness though the cheese melted down The “crème brûlée” was light and sumptuous. My glass with freshly poured Evian water with a fly swimming was replaced by an empty glass instead of a new full glass.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world! The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing, the outdoor space is great to people watch and enjoy the sun, but also inside is cozy and has a vintage vibe. Their ceviche is just SO GOOD. I remember the first time I went the chateaubriand was closer to well done, I asked for medium, but the pepper sauce and the fries that came with it very still delicious, so I didn’t mind it much. The desserts are also quite good, the drinks too. Overall if you want something fancier but not filled with tourists, I would definitely recommend Chez Julien!

This is classic French and very romantic! My husband and I were recommended to go here, as we were on holiday celebrating 30 years together. We made a reservation a week in advance to go at lunch time, and it wasn't too busy for being France's Labor Day weekend on a Saturday. We were seated outside at first, but the sun was too hot and the pollen was heavy, so they took us inside and sat us next to a big open window and could see the street and river. We ordered the pasta with truffle pearls and the duck on potatoes, as well as creme brulee and chocolate lava cake. Everything had such fresh and delicious flavor, plus wonderful presentation. The server was kind and attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend this restaurant as one of the more elegant bistros in Paris.

Loved our server Salomé! She was so helpful and had great food recs. Started with to the tuna tartar and it was my favorite part of the meal. The steak frites and sea bass were also delicious! & the chocolate cake for dessert 10/10.

This restaurant near the Seine, but away from the traffic is a perfect elevated dining experience. It is definitely best to go when the evening weather is suited to outdoor dining, as they offer a fantastic al fresco dining venue on both sides of a pedestrian only stone alley..... The restaurant serves many French traditional favorites, such as escargot, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio appetizers, and premiers plats such as chateaubriand, and sole meuniere. The desserts are also interesting, with a lemon yuzu tart, and creme brulee being our selections. The wine list is complete, but not so huge as to be intimidating.... It is pricey, but everything is impeccably offered. I happily recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Paris.

My mum and I spent the past two evenings here and had the best time, even through the heat:) Amazing food and a special service. Laughing together, talking a lot and very attentive (received cold tap water all evening and fans were put up). Even though the restaurant was full at some point he took the time to take care of each individual. Can’t wait to come back someday and enjoy the food and lovely ambience. Thank you for making our trip special. :)

We went to this Italian restaurant yesterday. Overall, the experience was okay, but I expected a bit more. The pasta was average — not bad, but not very memorable. Maybe we just chose the wrong dishes, because judging by the reviews, many people really like this place. We also had carpaccio with lemon, and parmesan as an appetizer, and it was very good. But the best dish of the evening was definitely the tiramisu — it was the most delicious part of the dinner. The portion was big and the dessert was really excellent.

We Were So grateful with Giovanni and Lorenzo service. The environment was very calm and friendly. they allowed us to stay even longer in the restaurant, even though we were the last ones because the weather was bad. We really appreciated their patience and support.

Absolutely fabulous❤️🤌🏻 This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌 Staff is super friendly! Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it) Food 11/10 Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu! They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼‍♂️ Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰 This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris!

It was a wonderful dinner and opera show. The service from the staff was also perfect! It was our first bel canto dinner. We were a little nervous, but then the opera show suddenly started and we were deeply moved! From there, it was a whirlwind of emotion, right up to "Libiamo ne' lieti calici"! We will definitely visit again.

We visited this evening after our original plans elsewhere were unexpectedly cancelled, and I’m so glad we ended up here. When we first arrived, we were seated right beside the piano, which felt a little uncomfortable, and I wasn’t sure whether we’d inconvenienced the staff by asking to move. There was a moment where I worried I might have got off on the wrong foot, but whether it was simply my own overthinking or just the busyness of the evening, the atmosphere quickly changed. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, and as the night went on they became warm, attentive and welcoming. The service softened naturally and we felt genuinely looked after. As for the performers – outstanding doesn’t do them justice. The singers were absolutely phenomenal. Their talent, energy and passion transformed the evening into something truly memorable. Being able to enjoy such incredible voices in such an intimate setting was a real privilege. There were several moments that gave us goosebumps, and the audience response of “Bravo!” was thoroughly deserved. Sometimes the best nights are the unplanned ones. We arrived after a disappointing cancellation elsewhere and left having had one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. Thank you to everyone at Bel Canto for turning an uncertain evening into a special memory. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris. Bravo! 👏🎶🇫🇷

Great dining experience with the opera singers’ performances! The food was good quality and the service was very friendly and efficient. We loved the atmosphere and for sure this is a one of a kind experience that you can have in Paris.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The decor is theatre-like with heavy curtains, and the nice red lamps on the table. The welcoming staff is nice and smiling. We went on a Wednesday and had the full lyrical menu for half the price. We loved being “serenaded” with arias of different, well-known opera plays. They took especially good care of an old gentleman who had his birthday that night. The food was truly good, full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

I tried the seafood don and it was very delicious. Many types of fish were served and all were very fresh. It was value for money because the portion was so BIG! You must try if you wanna experience great Japanese food in Paris. And the staff (or the boss) were very friendly.

We visited this gorgeous little restaurant for dinner in Feb 26 and it was amazing. Friendly staff, delicious food, efficient service and very reasonable prices. I can recommend the udon noodle ramen and dragon sushi rolls!

Great French cuisine near the Laguiole en Aubrac store. The Weeping Tiger beef fillet was fantastic with a touch of Asian flavour. The mashed potatoes are to die for, made with actual butter. French deserts were also amazing, my son’s cheese cake was melting in the mouth. Excellent service, the server was very courteous, we’ll go again.

What a gem of a place! We visited on 10th April 2026. My husband and I have very different tastes in food, and often struggle to find somewhere that accommodates us both. This restaurant was perfect. The food was exceptional. He had entrecôte, I had salmon stuffed with goats cheese on teriyaki sauce. The service was wonderful, wine was delicious and the dessert? Sublime (lemon and raspberry tiramisu). Highly recommended

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I had to for this special place! A local recommended it to us, so we ended up visiting spontaneously, and trust me it was the best decision we made! The staff working there were so lovely, their playful banter and genuine energy really made the whole evening. The architecture is stunning, food is great (and reasonably priced) and the cocktails were also very nice. I got to see in my birthday at this restaurant and all the staff made me feel extra special, they even recommended a great jazz bar to visit after. Big shout out to Harold, I’m sorry we don’t remember everyone else’s name but you know who you are 😘 merci beaucoup, Tia 💛

Exemplary local restaurant with French flair, charm, and atmosphere. With it's stylistic front and rustic decor, Le Louis Phillipe drew us off the street to have a bite and we were NOT disappointed. From the flash of a tablecloth to our servers with a smile, everything felt like it was from a movie. We were treated like the only customers in the place and were blown away by the caliber of food. The eggs and mayonnaise were creamy and delightful. The onion soup was hearty with rich broth and a cheesy crouton top. And the Gnocchi with creme tomato and basil sauce was to die for. Perfect portions to eat solo or share. I wish I had more time in Paris to visit again. As an American, I felt treated kindly and would highly recommend to anyone.

The staff is really lovely. I was traveling alone and asked to watch my bag and drink while i went to the toilet and they did it with a smile. Their cold infusion are lovely while enjoying them in the shade under the trees of their terras . And i could'nt resist their creme brulee, it was heavenly (still made with real vanilla). All by all just awesome.

Best ice cream I've ever had! And the flower look of it makes it even better! You can combine as many flavors as you'd like and then you get a beautiful flower ice cream. The wait was a bit long but to be honest, it's absolutely worth it! The macarons, especially the teramisu macaron, are amazing! Must visit when in Paris!

Might be the best gelato I’ve ever had, and I spent two weeks in Italy one summer… I’m not sure what they put into it that makes it so good, maybe it’s just how beautiful they make it look when scooping it but it was absolutely divine. We actually visited two locations and staff were amazing at both. My aunt is also gluten free and was able to get a cone!! I’ll be thinking about this gelato every time I want something sweet!

We got the classic cones: Cistomer experieence: * The fully automated ordering system feels sterile and lacks any human touch or guidance through the menu. That's the only way to order. * While the staff were polite and courteous, they weren't particularly attentive or engaging. Ice Cream & Amenities * The ice cream itself was decent, but nothing extraordinary. * There are no customer washrooms available—a major drawback for an ice cream shop where messy, sticky hands are almost inevitable. Atmosphere & Seating * Seating is quite restricted and clearly designed for quick turnover rather than a relaxing stay.

This place is AMAZING! I got lemon and mango sorbet and it was delightful! (I even got a rose flavoured macaron on top of my sorbet and it was the best macaron I’ve ever had!) A great ice cream shop with fresh, delicious flavours! The staff was very eager to hep us with flavours and created a beautiful flower-shape serving! Here, one does not order number of scoops but rather how big cup/cone they want. Then the staff fills it up with ice cream 😜 A great option for late-night (and not only) ice cream cravings!

LOVE LOVE LOVE. We stayed in Saint Paul and came across this restaurant in September 2022. We skipped lunch to dine on the early side (around 7 pm). We loved everything about it. The ambiance is wonderful. Our food was delicious! Started with a glass of wine which had a smooth flavor and was recommended by our server. My aunt had fish for her main and I had the best herbed risotto I have ever had in my life. My husband is a Chef and I have not stopped raving about it to him since. We loved dessert as well (quinelle of homemade gelato). Everything is made in house. Plus, Staff was SO nice which really elevated our experience. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends who were visiting Paris. Can't wait to dine here again later this year.

Very good cuisine in a beautiful 17th century building. The place is both traditional and stylish with backlit bottle shelves. Tasty truffle pizetta, fresh pasta with squid and shells served piping hot and tasty too, generous basil risotto, very good tiramisu. Very wide choice of wines and very good advice for selecting one. Smiling and attentive service. In the end, good value for money and a very good time.

Been here for a solo dinner during summer. Tables outside are placed along a very quiet street with barely any car or people passing, so ideal for dining. Had the pleasure to enjoy a beautiful sunset sky along my dinner. The risotto was great and very interesting both in terms of flavor and presentation. But what really shook me was the dessert! Really recommend (as an Italian myself)

We got here early at 12 and were the first customers. The service was great and the staff is very kind. We had the $31 lunch option and got main course and desert. The food was good and the steak was well cooked to a medium (which in my country would be medium rare). The atmosphere was alright, the cow vibe isn’t for everyone and it didn’t help that we were the only ones there. The desert was alright, my crème brule had to much sugar and not all was melted. My partners apple desert was however amazing!

We make a point of coming here whenever in Paris and have sent friends and family. Everyone raves about the food and the service is excellent too. The beef bourguigmon is a standout (although we would appreciate more carrots). They were very accommodating when we needed to change our reservation date and time.

Just ok. This is our 3rd night in Paris and this is the last on the list so far. The highlight was the double chocolate mousse. That was excellent. Otherwise the food was not better than any other place nearby. The owner took a bit of advantage of us as well which is annoying. He brought free still water to the table outside (as is typical in Paris, we have not paid for water yet) and instead brought us glass bottled still water and charged 9 euros each bottle. He should be fined for highway robbery. I had a feeling when I saw $16 for a classic Americano beverage that this was that type of place. Really soured the experience. With SO many other great places to go in Paris or even on the island I would not recommend this one. One should be able to enjoy dinner without having to wonder if you’re getting scammed.

A hidden gem in the heart of Paris! L’Îlot Vache is a charming, cozy restaurant that perfectly captures the spirit of French hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is intimate and rustic, with just the right touch of elegance—ideal for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and rich with authentic French flavors. The duck confit was tender and flavorful, and the tarte Tatin was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Their wine selection is thoughtful and pairs perfectly with the menu. Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations in English when needed. If you’re looking for a true Parisian dining experience away from the tourist traps, L’Îlot Vache is not to be missed. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris!
