Just a very solid restaurant- the small, hard working staff was friendly and attentive and the food was well prepared. My duck breast with blueberry sauce was a warm pink perfection - not dry or chewy. The blueberry sauce was only slightly sweet with a tartness that really paired well with the duck. My wife's fish was also well prepared and tasty. The vegetables were a little over cooked but well seasoned. Prices seemed very appropriate.

A cute place in st.louis my sister went to before and decided to return together. We all enjoyed the dinner very much, friendly services and great dishes. The whole place smelled like truffle (which I love but not for some other people). Had an artichoke salad and duck fillets. Really well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend.

When he on a Saturday night-two people. There is just one-fantastic woman who meets and greets you, and serves. One chef in the kitchen with an assistant. We really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is great-everyone clearly out for having a nice time. Food good-we had a three course meal each for €35 and an extra pudding from the à la carte… and five glasses of wine total about €120 for two people-a bargain we felt. Recommended!

I went to this restaurant many years ago when it was still owned and managed by the last owner. I wanted to come back as it was so fabulous then, I read the reviews which were good so decided to book. I just had to write my own review. The entire experience was SO disappointing. To me it is a tourist trap . My mother found 2 small pieces of bone in her mouth, almost broke a tooth, which was surprising as she had ordered a steak!!! We mentioned it to the waitress and she was hardly surprised and never apologised!!! Not a very sophisticated place, wine list restricted, laminated menu which to me says it all. Just an upgrade from a corner cafe.

We've been there on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the food of the day option and a vegetable plate, both are recommendable. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly.

Very nice location under trees and away from road. Tried to be innovative in its dishes - doesn’t always work. We all had duck , 2 very good, one a bit of a gristly cut. Ordered fries as an extra - they forgot them. Ice cream is home made, but actually not great tasting despite excellent presentation. Lemon tart was bland , nowhere near patisserie standard.

Thank you for a platform to give you my honest review. We are in Paris for our first time. My husband and I were looking forward to a very lovely evening with you. Upon entering, we were seated in an area where we were the only patrons and sat next door window that had another lovely couple directly on the other side of the window. We felt we were intruding on their time and they clearly felt we were intruding on theirs. We asked to be relocated. We then watched the hostess attempt to see the next five groups, and each one also asked we relocated as they were being offered would be perceived as the worst tables.
A waitress which was very welcoming quickly took our orders. Starters arrived, and this is when my disappointment set in again. I am attaching photos of the salad I was presented. In a restaurant of your caliber, I would think you would agree this is unacceptable. The waitress clearly saw the inedible lettuce and said nothing. Upon opening a bottle of wine, she did a very insincere checking of the bottle quickly to pour and never touch the bottle again. Having to attend our own bottle of wine and waters was a surprise. If fact the only time she came but was to clear.
My husband enjoyed his lamb while I found my meat to be very dry.
I am sure that this review does not bring joy this Monday morning, but with a caliber of your lovely restaurant and as a small business owner myself, I would want to know.
I am wanting to attach a photo of sad salad. Will s
Regards
Sue.

What a beautiful gem of a restaurant—very chic! I’d love to reserve the place for an event one day. From the warm welcome to the excellent service, everything was spot on. Compliments to the one server who seemed to cover all the tables in the main room—so efficient, friendly, and remembered everyone’s order!
The food was absolutely delicious and well-seasoned, and the wine was superb. The champagne (a must in Paris!) was served perfectly chilled—a beautiful Blanc de Blanc.
They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but I especially loved the indoor area with its stunning glass ceiling and vibrant colors—such a special atmosphere.
Also, don’t miss the bathroom decor—very cool and worth a peek!
One of my favorite restaurants in Paris. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Chez Julien!

If you’re looking for a cozy and charming terrace spot in Paris, this place is a great find! The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the escargots as a starter, and for the main course, the magret de canard and truffle risotto were both outstanding. It was our first time having a truffle dish that wasn’t overpowering—perfectly balanced and delicious!

We just enjoyed a lovely evening at Don Giovanni. The food was typical Italian fare which is served internationally. Generally, the dishes were well executed - the starters were simple, yet tasty, using fresh ingredients. Our pasta dishes were wonderful.
What sets this restaurant apart were the two waitresses, Emile & Julie. They truly engaged with us and wanted our experience to be special. Thank you both very much...

The restaurant was great! Food was good, waitresses were super nice. I shared my ravioli plate with a friend, it satisfied us both. Inside the restaurant is very hot as there is no AC, so if you get hot easily, I would suggest to sit outside (granted it’s not sunny).

The pasta dishes were all delicious, making me want to come back and try more varieties!
The veal was slightly greasy.
The tiramisu was very tasty; it would have been even better with more ladyfingers!

Absolutely fabulous❤️🤌🏻
This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌
Staff is super friendly!
Service 10/10
Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it)
Food 11/10
Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu!
They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼♂️
Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris!

Beautiful Italian food - every dish was prepared with love, using quality ingredients, in a truly convivial atmosphere. The owner, Enrico, is a gem! If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Paris then you simply must visit Don Giovanni. A fantastic, flavourful and fresh antipasti, sumptuous pasta and, to top our meal off, one of the best panna cotta’s of my life!

Wow, this place was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the experience was truly memorable. I didn’t have time for a full opera event, but this was the perfect blend of both worlds. The lovely voices filled my heart with joy as I savored each bite and sip of my drink. It was a truly delightful evening. They even allowed my daughter to sing! Highlight of my vacation.

Great dining experience with the opera singers’ performances! The food was good quality and the service was very friendly and efficient. We loved the atmosphere and for sure this is a one of a kind experience that you can have in Paris.

Honestly incredible experience, service and food last night. The singing was outstanding!!!! We went with our 3 year old daughter too and they were very accommodating and went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable which I have heard is unusual in Paris at dinner service with kids. I had a very special birthday here would 100% recommend.

We were there last week for a pre-Valentine's day celebration and it was great. The food, music and atmosphere were really outstanding. It was our second time being there after a few years and it did not disappoint. They continue to maintain a high standard.

Food is fresh and delicious. Our waitress Donna had given us good recommendations of dessert, they were excellent !
The singers sang some extraits of opera among us. The best moment was at around 10pm when they invited everybody to sing together.
A nice souvenir for our birthdays.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris! They only bring red quality salmon and their prices are medium (almost the same with a normal sushi place in the city).
Almost everything in the menu is excellent, but I highly recommend the Shake and Shake Nagi. I also love the edamame, and in this place they really taste like the original Japanese ones. As a soft drink I recommend the green tea without sugar or if it’s in the winter the hot green tea (excellent!). For desert you need to the mochi (the one with green tea!)! Photos with all these attached.
Location is excellent, just next to Hôtel de Ville and close to Notre Dame, which makes it a very good place to stop for lunch or dinner, in between tourist activities.
Since the size of the restaurant is quite small (around 36-40 places) their interior design is simple and clean with many Japanese like ornaments.
I also attached photos of the menu (23.06.2019).
Overall, I highly recommend this place.

The food is definitely not for Asian flavor. Ramen is one of the most terrible I’ve ever had in my life — it’s too soft, like soaking in soup for too long. We order a bowl and it’s just fine. Nothing special. Don’t go if you travel from Asia and like authentic Asian food.

We had escargot and an egg salad, both incredible!
It was somewhat busy, and no seating outside was available, so we seated inside.

The restaurant is in a tourist area so whilst it's nicely French, expect quite a few tourists. But then again that's what we were!
Very nice Saturday night meal, one x sea bass and one sausage & aligot sharing a citrus cheesecake. Bottle of very good Bordeaux & coffee - €93 which I think is good for a few hundred yards from Notre Dame .
Buzzy atmosphere & decent service, all good !

What a wonderful restaurant in Paris. We were immediately seated and service was quick. Great suggestions by the waiter and extraordinary nice and patient. We took the dive to try Escargot for the first time, and they cooked it to perfection. The beef bourguignon was very good. The atmosphere... If I could give a 10, I would watching the hustle and bustle of Paris from the patio was perfection. Next time we go to Paris, this will be a stop !

If you’ve ever been to Pairs before you already know street side cafés are in no short supply however this one in particular quickly became “our place” that we found ourselves returning to multiple times.
Beautifully situated along the Seine and the picture of a French café/restaurant we returned often for a quick rest/drink or a leisurely dinner. Amazing and attentive staff, great food and drink selection, and the people watching (should you choose to sit outside which we always did) is as good as anywhere.
Can’t wait to be back to “our place” again the next time we visit.

A great ice cream shop with fresh, delicious flavours! The staff was very eager to hep us with flavours and created a beautiful flower-shape serving! Here, one does not order number of scoops but rather how big cup/cone they want. Then the staff fills it up with ice cream 😜 A great option for late-night (and not only) ice cream cravings!

Best gelato I have ever had! There was a queue out the door when my we passed the shop going to dinner last night. When we came back towards our hotel around an hour and half later, there was still a queue. We knew we had to try it! It was well worth the 20 mins +- that it took to get to the counter. There were two young ladies working and they were totally in sync. Every move they made to put these little cones of art together were done with sincere intentions. I know they had to be tired by now, but they smiled and treated us so nicely. With my broken French at its best, I thanked them and wished them well. They did the same back to us. We went on to stroll down the street taking in the sights of Paris and enjoyed the heck out of the most smoothest, most flavorful, gelato filled wafer cones I could have ever imagined.

A hidden gem in the heart of Paris!
L’Îlot Vache is a charming, cozy restaurant that perfectly captures the spirit of French hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is intimate and rustic, with just the right touch of elegance—ideal for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and rich with authentic French flavors. The duck confit was tender and flavorful, and the tarte Tatin was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Their wine selection is thoughtful and pairs perfectly with the menu.
Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations in English when needed.
If you’re looking for a true Parisian dining experience away from the tourist traps, L’Îlot Vache is not to be missed. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris!

Beautifully decorated French restaurant. We came in during lunch and it was empty, it got full later. Great service, and we had a really good meal for a good price, considering how expensive Paris is.
It wasnt really clear that the deserts werent included or we didnt read thoroughly enough.

We had a wonderful dinner here, even without a reservation. We shared a salad that we paired with a rose, then also had a fabulous red along with our dinners, ending the night with an aperitif. Our server was great, spoke English (merci!), and was attentive. My husband is gluten free and lactose free and they were able to explain which items he could eat and which could be modified for him as well. So glad we ate here.

We went to this place recently..overall.food quality is food, servuers are friendly and welcoming..due to high volume, it feels bit slow but understandable..
We ordered fois gras and snail and it was fantastic taste..my husband ordered boeuf bourguigon and it was their signature dish,he loved it..so I recommended peope who love beef they should try this dish here. I have tried magret canard and didn't like it as it was not fully cooked, but it's more my taste rather than the dish itself
Overall we recommend this place to try if you are around this area..😀

We had a lovely dinner at Au Bourguignon du Marais. The food was excellent — we tried the escargot, the signature beef stew, and the octopus, all paired with a bottle of Coteaux Bourguignons wine. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The escargot was rich and garlicky, the beef stew was tender and comforting, and the octopus was surprisingly delicate. A great spot to enjoy classic French cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I usually don’t leave poor reviews of restaurants, but this one really disappointed us. Despite the positive things we heard about this spot, our own experience was very disappointing. While we were seated right away, we were left waiting for 25 mins before a waiter finally came to take our order. At this point it was already 230pm so the restaurant wasn’t that busy. This was after I had caught the attention of a waiter two times, but it still took them time to come. When one did finally come over to us, I let her know we were ready to order to which she sarcastically replied “she knew that already, otherwise why would she be there talking to us”. After this remark, we waited for our food to come and while it did taste fine, the portions were small relative to the cost of the food (~30 euros each). At this point I noticed that while all other tables were served bread right away before beginning their meals, our waiter did not bring our bread until after we had almost finished our meal. This treatment seemed unique to us as tourists as customers (locals) who came in after us were served bread right away. The service was so terrible that we elected to leave right away instead of ordering dessert as we had planned. Our waitress also only smiled when it came time for us to pay. Otherwise, she had an almost arrogant, snooty facade while we were there. It was such a disappointing experience and the worst restaurant we went to during our 5 day trip in France. All other places treated us with the highest level of hospitality. If not for the decent food, I would give this restaurant a 1 Star for how awful it treats its customers. Do not dine here - there are much better restaurants in Paris!

We have definitely tried a bit of everything! The food was amazing; so far, the onion soup is good. The beef bourguignon was very tender, and while I’m not sure if I prefer the way they cook escargot compared to the traditional method, it was still good and full of flavor.
I also want to highlight the beef tartare—it was delicious! It had a hint of cornichons, though some people didn’t like it because it was minced rather than chopped.
The desserts were lovely as well!
One of the best places in Paris so far!
Remark: I visited this place later this month, and it turned out to be a funny and charming experience. Initially, I rated it five stars, but I had to adjust that rating. I mostly spent time in the opera area, where the staff was very efficient. However, here we had to wait 20 minutes for plates and cutlery to arrive after our food was served, and another 20 minutes for glasses after our carafe was brought to us. When I tried to call a waiter, I was told to wait and received a bit of attitude in response. When I asked for a dessert that another table ordered, I was told off for pointing at their table, which was probably justified but still charming.
On the food front, the salad and desserts were amazing, and the beef bourguignon was solid.

We were looking for a traditional French cuisine restaurant, and the Au Bourguignon du Marais was a perfect match!
I ordered the delicious Bourguignon salad and my daughter ate the Boeuf Bourguignon-both were perfection.
The waiter surprised us with a hazelnut chocolate dessert with a single candle as we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. 🎉
