A cute place in st.louis my sister went to before and decided to return together. We all enjoyed the dinner very much, friendly services and great dishes. The whole place smelled like truffle (which I love but not for some other people). Had an artichoke salad and duck fillets. Really well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend.

Just a very solid restaurant- the small, hard working staff was friendly and attentive and the food was well prepared. My duck breast with blueberry sauce was a warm pink perfection - not dry or chewy. The blueberry sauce was only slightly sweet with a tartness that really paired well with the duck. My wife's fish was also well prepared and tasty. The vegetables were a little over cooked but well seasoned. Prices seemed very appropriate.

We've been there on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the food of the day option and a vegetable plate, both are recommendable. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly.

Classic. Chic. Great food. The service was excellent and friendly. Whether solo, family, group or couple... this lovely charming place is worth a visit. Over Christmas they had a nice set menu that will leave you satisfied and full.

This restaurant near the Seine, but away from the traffic is a perfect elevated dining experience. It is definitely best to go when the evening weather is suited to outdoor dining, as they offer a fantastic al fresco dining venue on both sides of a pedestrian only stone alley..... The restaurant serves many French traditional favorites, such as escargot, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio appetizers, and premiers plats such as chateaubriand, and sole meuniere. The desserts are also interesting, with a lemon yuzu tart, and creme brulee being our selections. The wine list is complete, but not so huge as to be intimidating.... It is pricey, but everything is impeccably offered. I happily recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Paris.

Great restaurant near Notre Dame but away from the touristy sandwich shops. We went forr the To Share menu (For two peoples) (sic) which included a Whole free-range chicken with truffle butter (presented prior to serving). Con fit potatoes cooked in the pan juices. Came with baby leaf salad in traditional dressing. Chicken was fresh and moist with large servings. Also had "Chez Julian" homemade ice cream in chocolate and caramel, plus a scoop of raspberry sorbet (not ice cream). The chocolate and caramel are most excellent; sorbet was standard; they went well with a decaf Americano. Service was excellent, to the point that the kitchen accidentally gave us lemon ice-cream, in lieu of caramel, which the waiter switched out. (Lemon was tart and not as good as caramel.) Waiter also gave excellent directions to our next destination. Atmosphere has a sophisticated feel but locals dressed casual. There was American music playing in the background which was interesting. Sets included Beach Boys, Billie Holiday, Joan Baez, Herman's Hermits. Took the Metro, so no parking was required and we enjoy walking the little streets of Paris. Restrooms are upstairs and very nice. Entire meal was €114.00, so no complaints about value.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world! The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing, the outdoor space is great to people watch and enjoy the sun, but also inside is cozy and has a vintage vibe. Their ceviche is just SO GOOD. I remember the first time I went the chateaubriand was closer to well done, I asked for medium, but the pepper sauce and the fries that came with it very still delicious, so I didn’t mind it much. The desserts are also quite good, the drinks too. Overall if you want something fancier but not filled with tourists, I would definitely recommend Chez Julien!

Everything was nice. The food tasted amazing (the chicken was top). But the waiters never served the wine, after the first time. We had to get up and serve ourselves every time. Some attention to this would be great.

Chez Julien is pure Parisian gem; elegant, romantic, and full of character. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with its classic bistro feel and stunning details that make the whole experience feel special. The food is rich, comforting, and beautifully executed, especially the Scallop ceviche and the Chateaubriand. Add to that a lovely atmosphere and attentive service, and you have the perfect spot for a memorable lunch or dinner. I wholeheartedly recommend this!

My girlfriend and I came back to Don Giovanni after being in Paris 4 years ago, with a vivid memory of this authentic Italian trattoria. Although we already knew this place was good, our second visit surpassed our expectations. Amazing Italian cuisine, great wine and above all extraordinary service. Our waitress was lovely. I’d immediately recommend this place to anyone staying in Paris.

We Were So grateful with Giovanni and Lorenzo service. The environment was very calm and friendly. they allowed us to stay even longer in the restaurant, even though we were the last ones because the weather was bad. We really appreciated their patience and support.

Absolutely fabulous❤️🤌🏻 This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌 Staff is super friendly! Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it) Food 11/10 Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu! They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼‍♂️ Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰 This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris!

It was a wonderful dinner and opera show. The service from the staff was also perfect! It was our first bel canto dinner. We were a little nervous, but then the opera show suddenly started and we were deeply moved! From there, it was a whirlwind of emotion, right up to "Libiamo ne' lieti calici"! We will definitely visit again.

Great dining experience with the opera singers’ performances! The food was good quality and the service was very friendly and efficient. We loved the atmosphere and for sure this is a one of a kind experience that you can have in Paris.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The decor is theatre-like with heavy curtains, and the nice red lamps on the table. The welcoming staff is nice and smiling. We went on a Wednesday and had the full lyrical menu for half the price. We loved being “serenaded” with arias of different, well-known opera plays. They took especially good care of an old gentleman who had his birthday that night. The food was truly good, full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Honestly incredible experience, service and food last night. The singing was outstanding!!!! We went with our 3 year old daughter too and they were very accommodating and went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable which I have heard is unusual in Paris at dinner service with kids. I had a very special birthday here would 100% recommend.

I tried the seafood don and it was very delicious. Many types of fish were served and all were very fresh. It was value for money because the portion was so BIG! You must try if you wanna experience great Japanese food in Paris. And the staff (or the boss) were very friendly.

Super nice small adress in le marais. A bit off the main roads which means more locals then tourists. Food was fresh and tasty. Their signature fish was outstanding. Good value for money ! Nice terrasse at the front of the place.

We visited this gorgeous little restaurant for dinner in Feb 26 and it was amazing. Friendly staff, delicious food, efficient service and very reasonable prices. I can recommend the udon noodle ramen and dragon sushi rolls!

*update photos 2025 My favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris! They only bring red quality salmon and their prices are medium (almost the same with a normal sushi place in the city). Almost everything in the menu is excellent, but I highly recommend the Shake and Shake Nagi. I also love the edamame, and in this place they really taste like the original Japanese ones. As a soft drink I recommend the green tea without sugar or if it’s in the winter the hot green tea (excellent!). For desert you need to the mochi (the one with green tea!)! Photos with all these attached. Location is excellent, just next to Hôtel de Ville and close to Notre Dame, which makes it a very good place to stop for lunch or dinner, in between tourist activities. Since the size of the restaurant is quite small (around 36-40 places) their interior design is simple and clean with many Japanese like ornaments. I also attached photos of the menu (23.06.2019). Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Great French cuisine near the Laguiole en Aubrac store. The Weeping Tiger beef fillet was fantastic with a touch of Asian flavour. The mashed potatoes are to die for, made with actual butter. French deserts were also amazing, my son’s cheese cake was melting in the mouth. Excellent service, the server was very courteous, we’ll go again.

What a gem of a place! We visited on 10th April 2026. My husband and I have very different tastes in food, and often struggle to find somewhere that accommodates us both. This restaurant was perfect. The food was exceptional. He had entrecôte, I had salmon stuffed with goats cheese on teriyaki sauce. The service was wonderful, wine was delicious and the dessert? Sublime (lemon and raspberry tiramisu). Highly recommended

Delicious French cuisine in an inviting environment in charming Isle de St. Louis. I enjoyed the beef bourgeon and the onion soup was delicious as well. Quality wine selection. Personable wait staff, although stretched a bit thin.

Exemplary local restaurant with French flair, charm, and atmosphere. With it's stylistic front and rustic decor, Le Louis Phillipe drew us off the street to have a bite and we were NOT disappointed. From the flash of a tablecloth to our servers with a smile, everything felt like it was from a movie. We were treated like the only customers in the place and were blown away by the caliber of food. The eggs and mayonnaise were creamy and delightful. The onion soup was hearty with rich broth and a cheesy crouton top. And the Gnocchi with creme tomato and basil sauce was to die for. Perfect portions to eat solo or share. I wish I had more time in Paris to visit again. As an American, I felt treated kindly and would highly recommend to anyone.

Might be the best gelato I’ve ever had, and I spent two weeks in Italy one summer… I’m not sure what they put into it that makes it so good, maybe it’s just how beautiful they make it look when scooping it but it was absolutely divine. We actually visited two locations and staff were amazing at both. My aunt is also gluten free and was able to get a cone!! I’ll be thinking about this gelato every time I want something sweet!

Service was the least good thing. They were not attentive even though no one but myself and 1 other was there. Not only were they inattentive but they did not seem to care. However, the gelato was good and the atmosphere was not bad since it was empty. I had the place to myself which was nice.

This place is AMAZING! I got lemon and mango sorbet and it was delightful! (I even got a rose flavoured macaron on top of my sorbet and it was the best macaron I’ve ever had!) The presentation was unbelievable and the staff were really helpful especially Sandra who was patient and kind and sooo helpful! 10/10 would recommend! Carys age:10

Very good cuisine in a beautiful 17th century building. The place is both traditional and stylish with backlit bottle shelves. Tasty truffle pizetta, fresh pasta with squid and shells served piping hot and tasty too, generous basil risotto, very good tiramisu. Very wide choice of wines and very good advice for selecting one. Smiling and attentive service. In the end, good value for money and a very good time.

A wonderful experience for dinner and drinks. Maria served us well and everyone else was really friendly and helpful. Don't speak French, no problem. Accent free English all around. The calamari appetizer was one of the best I've ever had (Ive had many)! My wife had Veal and I had Ossobuco. Both were phenomenal. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food, especially in Paris. A must for the Italian food lover in Paris.

We stopped by here for a quick bite and were very pleasantly surprised. We asked if they could prep something in less than 20 minutes and the hostess smiled and told us it was no problem and that the fresh pasta was quick and could be ready fast. She was right. The pasta was delicious, and the wine spectacular. Would come here again any time. The vibe is romantic, chic and inviting. We felt more like we were guests in a beautiful home than patrons at a business. Perfect date spot or evening where you want to feel the magic of Le Marais. Recommend!

We got here early at 12 and were the first customers. The service was great and the staff is very kind. We had the $31 lunch option and got main course and desert. The food was good and the steak was well cooked to a medium (which in my country would be medium rare). The atmosphere was alright, the cow vibe isn’t for everyone and it didn’t help that we were the only ones there. The desert was alright, my crème brule had to much sugar and not all was melted. My partners apple desert was however amazing!

Here I had probably the best dinner during my stay in Paris. Despite our arrival quite late, we were greeted by the stuff amd managed to try some classics of french cuisine deliciously prepared: the Oeuf et Bourguingnon and Confit de Canard were unbelievably tasty and well prepared.

Beautifully decorated French restaurant. We came in during lunch and it was empty, it got full later. Great service, and we had a really good meal for a good price, considering how expensive Paris is. It wasnt really clear that the deserts werent included or we didnt read thoroughly enough. A hidden gem in the heart of Paris! L’Îlot Vache is a charming, cozy restaurant that perfectly captures the spirit of French hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance is intimate and rustic, with just the right touch of elegance—ideal for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and rich with authentic French flavors. The duck confit was tender and flavorful, and the tarte Tatin was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Their wine selection is thoughtful and pairs perfectly with the menu. Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations in English when needed. If you’re looking for a true Parisian dining experience away from the tourist traps, L’Îlot Vache is not to be missed. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris!

We had a wonderful dinner here, even without a reservation. We shared a salad that we paired with a rose, then also had a fabulous red along with our dinners, ending the night with an aperitif. Our server was great, spoke English (merci!), and was attentive. My husband is gluten free and lactose free and they were able to explain which items he could eat and which could be modified for him as well. So glad we ate here.
