fantastic location, excellent and friendly staff, relaxing pool area for a swim in between sightseeing. room was clean, bed was comfortable and all together for Paris standards spacious and well equipped.
negative: the room is quite dark (I didn't mind, I'd rather have a dark room than noisy street) and the walls are very thin. you can hear people walking down the hall, talking in other rooms etc.
nonetheless I'd book again!

The hotel is across the street from the Louvre! Easy walk to a lot of places. I didn't rate the welcome because we arrived as part of a large group, which is always difficult for everyone. We liked our room, but several of the electric plugs did not work, and a repair person was not able to fix that. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean. We enjoyed beautiful two-story windows that opened onto one of two squares inside the hotel property. Our king bed was comfy and the room had two bathrooms. One upstairs in the sitting room, and the other downstairs in the bedroom. The breakfast buffet was good, and included a cappuccino machine. If you ask for 'American coffee', they will bring it. The concierge was really helpful!

From the welcome to our departure the staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The family room was spacious and very comfortable for our family of four (with teen daughters). The maid service was excellent - supplies always refreshed. Any request ( for an iron etc.) was done in a timely fashion. The concierge was exceptional! We would stay here again and will recommend to family and friends when they visit Paris. Great location- close to major attractions and historic sites.
Thank you for making our stay in Paris a memorable one.

Wonderful hotel and location. My 2 daughters and I were there this last summer and it was lovely. The staff were great. Always very nice and helpful. Our room was perfect. We had a junior sweet and it was 2 stories. A king upstairs and a queen pullout downstairs. A absolutely huge room, especially by European standars. The bed and the pillows were heavenly. I have a bad back and was really concerned but I slept great every night. We were there for 11 nights and never a problem. The location was a perfect walking distance to so many attractions and very close to public transportation. I would love to go back again today if I could but I certainly hope to stay again in the future!

The atmosphere and decor are very nice. In my opinion, tables are too close to each other for a high end restaurant like this one. Service was great but quite slow, and food is also very good though some things probably not worth the price (14€ for a simple green salad)

I visited here Feb 2024. Such great service from the minute you walk in until you leave. The food was amazing, inside the restaurant is beautiful! Great place to start off your Parisian trip.

If you are looking for a unique Paris restaurant with delicious food, this is it! The restaurant is off the beaten track on the edge of the Jardin du Palais Royal. In the summer, there are tables outside by the garden. We visited in winter and experienced the beauty and grandeur of historic salon. The restaurant was first established in the late 1700's , and has retained a unique dining experience. Previously, we had visited Le Train Bleu and were disappointed by the feeling that it was another tourist experience without true feeling. Le Grand Vefour is the opposite , it is an experience of warmth and kindness and true concern that you will receive the best service possible. Additionally, the food was absolutely incredible, especially since I am celiac and have to eat gluten free food. Some chefs find this to be a challenge but Le Grand Vefour stepped up to the challenge and exceeded it. The food was fresh, wonderfully presented and the timing was perfect. This is one of the best meals I have had in my life. This was an incredible experience and I hope to return soon.

One of the best dining experiences in Paris. My girlfriend has been there multiple times on her previous visits so I had to try it out. The interior decor is very historic, same with the seating and plates, a totally different vibes than other modern dining places. Plate presentation is okay but food is really good especially the tuna tartar. Service is very professional and attentive. Definitely a gem in Paris!

Absolutely delicious. Hoastess is very pleasant and friendly and servers are attentive and kind. It's definitely a local favorite, because I was the only tourist in the whole place all night. Lively, but still cozy enough to have conversations. Food is also great, can't go wrong with any of the choices.

Starter and tartart are perfect and so nice but onion soup not much taste at all BUT so hot, love it !
Baked potato is cool too.
Staffs are nice but can see they are short of people as only 2 people service while place
Which not easy and also took a bit longer to get all.
Table distance is really TOO close as it is like 3” distance so you can hear others clearly. It is very noisy over there.
Price is ok and recommended but not in busy time a lot

This place has a charming, old-school feel — almost like a classic Showa-era Japanese Chinese restaurant, but right in the heart of Paris. It’s clearly popular, as there’s always a line and the place stays busy, and now I fully understand why.
The ramen has a gentle, comforting broth reminiscent of traditional Japanese chūka soba, and every dish we tried was delicious — the fried rice, the gyoza, and even the char siu on its own were all excellent.
A wonderful spot with a nostalgic atmosphere and consistently tasty food. Highly recommended!

The ramen is kind of bland in my opinion. Not very flavorful. But the prices are very reasonable. Dumplings were good though. But I don’t think it’s worth to wait in line. But again, very good pricing for Paris.

I always see people lining up for this resto and finally tried it yesterday. The food was really average, yakisoba was okay, the ramen soup was too salty. For the price it didn’t hurt to try, but it’s not a place I’d line up for.

I love this place. Simple, fast, tasty. I've been here at least 10 times with friends and on my own and I've always come out happy and warm. I always get their ramen with ravioli.

Very good traditional japonais food in sainte Anne street in Paris. I have been there several times and will go beach again. The food is actually very good if you like Asian and notably the japonais food. The service is very quick, but not caring. Most of the time there is a line outside that you have to wait 10-20 minutes. No reservations needed. The ambiance is just ok. Enjoy!

I want to highlight the excellent service we received thanks to the waitress Zakia. From the first moment she was attentive, friendly and very professional. He was always aware of our table without being invasive, answered all our questions with a smile and made us feel really welcome. His cordial treatment and efficiency made our experience even better.
You can tell that he enjoys his work and does it with dedication. Without a doubt, a first-class service. Thank you very much for your excellent attention!

Tucked away on a charming little street, Le Pain Quotidien is an absolute hidden treasure bursting with pazzazz! From the moment you arrive, the vibe is effortlessly chic—inviting, warm, and oh-so-Parisian. With cozy indoor tables and a sunny outdoor setup, sitting outside was a no-brainer. The fresh air, the quaint surroundings, and that perfect brunch buzz made it feel like a scene from a movie.
The service? Top-notch and super friendly—you’re treated like a regular even on your first visit. We dove into the brunch menu and let me tell you—it was fireworks on a plate. Each bite was vibrant, flavorful, and made with love.
But the showstopper? That croissant. Oh. My. Goodness. Flaky, golden, crunchy perfection—like a buttery symphony in your mouth. One bite and it was pure magic. Honestly, orgasmic doesn’t even begin to describe it. It was like biting into a little piece of heaven with a French accent.
If you’re looking for a brunch spot with soul, charm, and serious food magic, Le Pain Quotidien is the move. Whether you’re brunching with friends or just treating yourself, this spot brings the flavor, the flair, and the full-on pazzazz.

This place was absolutely wonderful!! The food was high quality, delicious, and fresh as well as the restaurant being in a good location and a friendly staff. The bread here is also fabulous along with the menu. I highly recommend the floral lavender mint water for a refreshing drink, so so yummy. For food i got strawberries with mint,
Tartine Poulet & Avocat, and Pain Nordique. All super good, recommend!

We stopped by Naniwa-Ya for a quick Japanese meal. The place has a casual Japanese eatery vibe, nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a straightforward meal.
The katsu curry was probably the best thing we had. The curry sauce was nice, rich enough to be satisfying, and the fried cutlet was cooked properly with a decent crisp on the outside. It’s the kind of dish that’s hard to mess up, and this one did the job well.
The udon, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming. The broth lacked depth and flavour, and the bowl felt quite sparse in terms of ingredients. For what it costs, it didn’t quite deliver the comfort or richness you’d expect. It came across a little bland and slightly overpriced for what was served.
The set salad was very average, pretty standard and nothing memorable. The gyoza, though, was the weakest part of the meal. The filling lacked flavour and the overall taste just didn’t work. Definitely something I wouldn’t order again.
On the positive side, service was fast and efficient. Orders were taken quickly and food arrived without much waiting, which is always appreciated when you’re just looking for a quick bite.
Overall, Naniwa-Ya is fine if you’re nearby and want something simple. The katsu curry is worth ordering, but other items on the menu feel hit or miss, especially considering the price point.

Came in on Saturday right before 19.00 sitting at the bar since I am party of one. Asked the waiter to recommend their specials which the cold egg noodles and seafood balls.
They were both good with the noodles fresh.
Ordered beef cheeks as extra because I was very hungry. The cheeks lack tenderness but cooked well.
At 19.30 there were many people queuing for seats. Overall, the food was good.

We ordered 5 tapes and a soba . The price is good and quality okay . It’s a bit oily and salty somehow . It’s can be good if it is less oily .
I also order a take out salmon roe on rice . It is fresh and large , enough for two meals.
I have not try the ramen or rice dish but I think they can be on point from what I saw.
It’s hard to find such a causal place to have a meal and catch up with friends. The bar chair is a little high and can be hard to sit on it . There are less than 8 tables available.
Overall it can be a good place to order take out . A little overpriced on some appetizers such as the spinach and the pumpkin
Maria Fan - a year ago
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a beautiful décor, but unfortunately the food really isn’t up to the same standard. We ordered the homerice and the udon: the homerice was honestly not good at all, and the udon noodles were overcooked. The tempura was completely soggy, and the meat was of particularly poor quality. Overall, the setting is lovely, but the dishes were quite disappointing.
Elsa Jouanjan - 4 months ago
Portions were okay. Ordered oyakodon, tempura udon and draft beer.
Oyakodon's egg could be made more runny but the chicken pieces were good.
Udon may have been overcooked as it was a bit mushy rather than springy and soup was saltier than expected.
Also this was the only time in Paris where we were asked for a tip. Perhaps it's a common practice in the area.

We had the most amazing time at this restaurant! All of my friends came together, and it honestly could not have been a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was so cute and welcoming the atmosphere made it perfect for hanging out and celebrating together.
We ordered so many big meals, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with flavor. They also kept the bread coming, which we loved such a simple touch, but it made the meal even better!
The staff was so kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed the whole time. We felt so taken care of.
We had the best time, ate amazing food, and made the best memories. We love this place so much and can’t wait to come back! 💛✨

Dinner was excellent! Was seated immediately at 8:30PM on a Saturday. The service was fantastic and the dishes were even better. Special mention to: onion soup, escargot, and creme brulee. The chicken was juicy, the beef tartare was plentiful, and the steak was cooked nicely medium rare (albeit a bit chewy). Fries were great!

Café de la Régence offers a wonderful experience with a great location and traditionally prepared French cuisine. It's a fantastic spot for people-watching and enjoying classic dishes.
I highly recommend starting with the Charcuterie Board. It was generous, featuring a great selection of high-quality cured meats and patés, perfectly complemented by cornichons and excellent crusty bread. It’s ideal for sharing and soaking in the bistro ambiance.
The Onion Soup here is a must-try. It was served piping hot, boasting a deep, rich, and slightly sweet broth, loaded with tender caramelized onions and crowned with a thick layer of gratinéed cheese. It provided the ultimate French comfort.
To finish, the Crème Brûlée was spot on. The custard was smooth, creamy, and infused with vanilla, topped with a brittle, perfectly torched sugar crust. It was the flawless, satisfying conclusion to a wonderful Parisian meal.
Café de la Régence is a charming spot that executes these French staples with skill and quality.

I stopped here randomly on my last night in Paris. I had a nice solo seat in the corner and was able to enjoy my meal and people watch. I ordered the French onion soup as well as the baked chicken and a small carafe of wine (we definitely need this option in the US) The soup was exactly what I wanted very flavorful, nice and hot. Definitely recommend. The baked chicken I was worried would not be that tasty as I hadn't been impressed with my other options in Paris during my trip, but this did not disappoint. Very flavorful and delicious. I ended the evening with a crème brûlée, which was so good I had to stop my myself from finishing it all. if you are in the area, definitely give this place a try.

Had a lunch here whilst on a walking tour, and it really made a lovely diversion from the hustle outside.
Servers were very efficient, note lunch is strictly served from midday.
Food was amazing, beautifully presented and faster than we expected.
The atmosphere is a mixture between Library/Museum and funky hipster bar, with quirky displays of Lego model, portraits of the Masters on the walls, and mixed level seating.

My Favorite Japanese Restaurant in Paris
Whenever I’m in Paris and want delicious, authentic Japanese food, I go to Takara. The sashimi is always fresh, and their Wagyu hot pot is absolutely wonderful—tender, rich, and deeply satisfying.
It’s a reliable, welcoming place with genuine flavors and consistently good service. A true standout for Japanese cuisine in the city. Highly recommend.

Overall, a nice restaurant for sukiyaki; however, the other dishes were just okay. Service was welcoming and friendly and environment was a typical Japanese tavern.
My fav: Sukiyaki (5⭐) — the soup was flavorful, and the meat was fresh and well prepared
Shabu-Shabu & Sashimi Omakase (4⭐) — I personally preferred the sukiyaki over the shabu-shabu. I found the shabu-shabu soup a bit bland, while I liked the sesame vinegar sauce on the side, we barely used the other sauce. On the other hand, the sashimi omakase was fresh, but not to the point where I think it was worth it.
Tempura (3.5⭐) — A nice variety of veggies that allowed us to try a bit of everything. However, I found the dipping sauce on the side disappointing — a bit bland as well.

Takara is a great spot for authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris, with a long history dating back to 1958. We enjoyed everything we had, and the prices felt quite reasonable, especially considering the quality and location. The service was helpful and nice, and the atmosphere had a warm, simple, Japanese-style charm. It feels more like a genuine Japanese restaurant than a tourist-focused place, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you enjoy Japanese cuisine.

The food was amazing, sashimi was so tasty, no bad smell. The small sukiyaki was very good as well. The soup was not too salty that I could sip from time to time and the server did a small demonstration of cooking it. The service and atmosphere were great also, very calm, nicely decorated and I could smell wood from the furniture. Really authentic. However the price is very high, might be good to go for a special occasion.
