5 Star Rating It has its reputation for a reason. Incredible French cuisine executed flawlessly. The recommended wine was one of the best we have ever had. For those who say the service is rude, it goes a long way to be polite and learn how to say 'I'm sorry, I don't speak French' in French if you are a foreigner.

5 Star Rating We are tourists and were a little intimidated reading previous reviews about the service but it was more than adequate! The dishes are using quality ingredients, each well thought out and executed. We are 2 people and has 5 entrees, a main and a dessert (would have eaten more if we had the stomach space to spare). The owner gave great recommendations on wines and digestif to pair with our food. The bistro is cosy and a great place to spend a whole evening indulging. *menu is written in French and can be google translated- although I am sure the owner would have provided any help we needed

5 Star Rating Fantastic food, lovely & lively atmosphere, and reasonable prices for the high quality of food. Just a heads up the owner of the restaurant is very ‘French’, so don’t be taken aback by that. Additionally, if want to leave a tip you’ll need to do so with cash as you won’t be able to add it to the card balance.

2 Star Rating Underwhelming! There are far more restaurants with better service and food to spend your money on in Paris/ the neighbourhood. We ate here as a treat after reading reviews and found the food to be incredibly bland and unseasoned. It’s a shame because it was one of the more expensive meals we ate on our trip

5 Star Rating When I visited le Baratin in Dec 23, it only was my second visit, after a few years gap, and like the first time, I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Every dish we had were absolutely delightful. Quality and freshness of the ingredients here are clearly top of mind in this kitchen. The wine list is carefully understated so as not to outshine the food menu, unquestionably the true hero of this establishment, as it should. The service is effective and friendly, and doesn’t shy away from the occasional witty quip, Parisian-style!

4 Star Rating The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the menu is a little odd and limited. I got a poached egg in truffle foam with bacon. It was a full bowl of truffle foam with a cold poached egg in it topped with bacon. A little strange. Delicious but overwhelming. The egg was perfectly poached but it really should have been warmed up. All that said, the staff was lovely and patient with my English. Certainly worth a stop for a snack and a 50cl of wine.

We wanted to get the duck confit but it wasn’t available because it’s made so fresh (we’ll be going back to try to get it another time!) The steak was perfectly made and tender, the salmon salad was fresh and delicious. It was busy on a Tuesday evening at 20:00 but we got a table inside (definitely warm in there!).

5 Star Rating Right by our airbnb, we came for a late lunch after landing from Athens. Greeted by a friendly man who spoke some English. He showed us the daily menu and bless his heart tried to explain it in English. We tried to use as much Frnech as we knew and settled upon two daily specials with plum tarts for dessert. We left soooooo happy. The steak skewers where cooked perfectly. The sauce was incredible. And the frites were super cripsy and the jug of wine was super affordable....I only wanted more. Great first meal in Paris! We also came here for breakfast and got a cappucino and croissant for €5.

5 Star Rating Don’t miss this newly reimagined Bellville restaurant recently taken over by a group of obviously creative restaurateurs. Our lunch foursome started with a delicious bowl of watermelon-tomato gazpacho that included soba noodles. Wow. If they bottled this, I’d buy it by the liter! We chose three more starters and, again, delighted in each of them, especially the tartare de thon. While the menu described one of the starters as having a “mouth-watering” sauce, truly, that description applied to everything we tasted. We savoured each bite and sip, having refreshingly paired our meal with a complex Italian vin orange biologique (Croci Valtolla from Emilia-Romagna). The three main dishes that we shared (something from each category: mer, viande, and ravioli) were equally sublime. It would be impossible to choose a favorite. Not only was our meal delicious, but it was also stunningly presented. Since we were enjoying a lazy mid-day Sunday meal, we also opted to finish with a bottle of the sparkling sibling to the yummy orange Italian vino, along with the delicious riz au lait. C'était parfait! As we walked away, we instantly engaged in a discussion of when we can return to try the dishes we had not yet sampled and who else we would bring back next time. It is always a joy to find a new favorite restaurant.

It was so delicious such an amazing!!! Make me sad because after I don’t know I could find this same restaurant in Korea. It was refreshing, not greasy, hearty, and so delicious that word will never describe how much it is good. And the restaurant workers and owner are so nice, sweet, gentle and full of youthful energy.
