Loved this place! The terrace has an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower—perfect for a sunset drink. Victor, the manager and his team made us feel super welcome, and Uli’s cocktails were spot on. Great food, great vibes. Definitely coming back!

Mid, latte was gross. They don't serve real food until noon. Worth going for the view.

Monomer Beneville is such a gem! Perched on top of the hill with sweeping views over Paris — including a perfect glimpse of the Eiffel Tower — I expected typical tourist prices, but was pleasantly surprised. The tapas are not only delicious but also super affordable. Add to that a great vibe and genuinely friendly, welcoming staff, and you’ve got the perfect spot to unwind. A total win for a laid-back, scenic evening in the city!

This place was perfect. Super cozy atmosphere and very kind and friendly staff, even with my lack of French language. The food was DELICIOUS— I got quiche of the day, and it came with a generous helping of fries and a salad which were all very good. And the bartender/barista guy was very cute :)

My girlfriend and I are from NYC and we are foodies. To say that we enjoyed the food is an understatement. We read the reviews and they were mixed, most of the negative reviews are about the service. If you’re coming here to be pampered and coddled by the service, you are at the wrong place. Our first impression, the owner gave us a dramatic look. We were not phased, we accepted it as someone passionate. The servers will not give you the fake American smile to ensure you are happy. The are confident in their food and you either appreciate it or you don’t. This is unlike the typical overly flavored Paris greasy food. This is pure flavor, you can slightly salt to your taste with the table salt. We had 4 items plus the dessert and wine. Red snapper and vegetable melody, scallop and wild mushrooms, artichoke with carrots and onions, and the foie gras.
Red snapper and veggie melody is semi fishy at the first taste then it all goes away by the buttery veggie melody that compliments the fish perfectly. This isn’t your typical thinly sliced red snapper, it’s thick and meaty fish. Yes, we slightly salted it.
Scallop and wild mushrooms was utterly mind blowing. Great presentation with subtly and light buttery (not overly salted) flavorful scallops, which is very hard to do. The wild mushrooms subtly had an earthly taste (not overly earthy at all) compliments the scallops so well.
Artichoke, carrots and onions. I thought to myself, how can one be so excited about carrots. Seriously? I’m not one to exaggerate about carrots. It was subtly flavorful and pure bliss.
The foie gras. What do I say? Everything here is homemade, I’m not a huge fan of foie gras, I’ve had it a few times in my life and always thought it’s overly powerful with flavor. It goes without saying, it’s very very subtle with flavor. The combination with the light butter on the crispy and fluffy inside bread. Mind blowing.
The Wine he suggested was a tasty and natural white wine that we both loved and my girlfriend was also recommended a dessert wine which was a sort of Amaro, again subtle and favorable.
Lastly, the dessert. Wow! We saw a bunch of people on the reviews ordering the same chocolate fondant au chocolat. This was visually like a fudge chocolate, but imagine a velvety chocolat that isn’t super sweet. The one thing that I feel when I eat a large chuck of fudge is overwhelming, this is the complete opposite.
They will not bend to your needs for convenience, you must call (we found it hard to call a local French #), yet we persisted and got a reservation, their menu is in only French, translate on your google translate. They don’t play music, they take their time to serve you, don’t expect them to be on your time. You come to their establishment and they will treat you well. Don’t be entitled.
One word to describe our experience. Elegant. I hope you get to experience what we did.

One of my favorite Parisian bistro. It’s giving the authentic lowkey vibe. Menu was made with hand writing on the black board. Beautiful atmosphere. It’s not a place they want to bring something new, fine and special. You enjoy the subtle nuance. It’s elegant, delicate, authentic, homey, and most importantly honest.

All through dinner, i was kicking myself for not having adopted Baratin earlier. Everything about the place pleases, not least the food and wines. My mother seemed to think so too.
We sat down on one of the basic leather booths. They have a large chalkboard with menus which was placed on a chair for us and a short list of wines.
We chose a Vin de Table. A guy behind the bar to serve us a glass, it was well made and was almost sainted in its purity.
The food, on the surface, could be considered typical. But once they arrive and immediately melt in your mouth, you’ll understand what all of the fuss is about.
The mussels revived me. And the lamb, my main, was packed with flavor and falling off the bone. It had a delicate balance of fat and lean, perfectly moist. All were simply turned out and very comforting.
What‘s more, for dessert, Fondant au Chocolate, a slab of rich soft chocolate, falling somewhere in between mousse and chocolate. It tasted gorgeous.
I understand what it means by terrible service here but this is not the type of place to care about much beyond what you’re putting in your mouth. It‘ll trump all the other factors anyway. All part of the charm.

I had dinner at Le Baratin during my Paris trip, and it honestly felt like discovering a secret local spot. The place isn’t fancy or touristy at all, but the food has this warm, homemade French charm that instantly makes you feel comfortable. The menu is small but full of fresh, seasonal dishes, and everything tasted incredibly honest and flavorful. The staff was friendly in a very real, unpretentious way—no over-the-top service, just simple and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy, filled mostly with locals, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. It’s the kind of restaurant where you sit back, relax, enjoy good wine, and forget you're in one of the busiest cities in the world. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine Paris bistro experience.

We are tourists and were a little intimidated reading previous reviews about the service but it was more than adequate! The dishes are using quality ingredients, each well thought out and executed. We are 2 people and has 5 entrees, a main and a dessert (would have eaten more if we had the stomach space to spare). The owner gave great recommendations on wines and digestif to pair with our food. The bistro is cosy and a great place to spend a whole evening indulging. *menu is written in French and can be google translated- although I am sure the owner would have provided any help we needed

A very nice spot where you'll be able to eat too much for a very fair price ! Even the salad will stuff you as they are very generous.Take a look at the desert, they are gorgeous. As for the main course you'll have plenty to choose.
It was delightful in every way :)

The food is authentic and delicious! It’s difficult to find a real japanese place who serves good sushi for 26€ at night. The assortment of desserts gives us a bit of each dessert and all of them taste so good, especially the black sesame ice cream. The flavour is so rich. Same for the matcha cake which is not too sweet but full of flavour.
The staffs are friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back.

It’s was incredible! The service was very fast and the food was so so good! The waitresses were so kind, I recommend this place at 100%

While the food was decent, the service was extremely slow. We waited almost an hour for our ramen and sushi, which was frustrating, especially for a meal that shouldn't take that long to prepare.
That being said, the waitress was very kind and attentive, which made the experience slightly better. However, the long wait time overshadowed the overall dining experience. If you're in a rush, this might not be the best choice. But if you have time to spare and value friendly service, it could still be worth a visit.

THIS PLACE SAVED OUR LIFE!! Was searching for an open kitchen all around and we walked in just as the chef was leaving. He said he’d stay and cook for us 4, and we had the entrecôte, duck confit, and 2 chicken burgers and it was SO DELICIOUS!! They were the most amazing welcoming vibe ever and treated us so well. I am forever indebted to these beautiful people for SAVING OUR EVENING!!

The chef was putting on his coat to leave as we came in. We asked if the kitchen was open and they said no, but then something magic happened. The chef took off his coat and said he would go back into the kitchen. We then had the most amazing duck confit, devilled eggs, entrecote, and chicken burgers! What a magical night! Will never forget the kindness of this restaurant! Service and food is 10/10

Staff were super friendly, extremely low wait times for food, most importantly, food was SUPER delicious. Ordered beef tataki, beef tartare, and beef with mash. Their fruity IPA beer was also tasty. I don’t understand how the is place is not 5 stars because it’s so amazing. I love everything here, no complaints.

Right by our airbnb, we came for a late lunch after landing from Athens. Greeted by a friendly man who spoke some English. He showed us the daily menu and bless his heart tried to explain it in English. We tried to use as much Frnech as we knew and settled upon two daily specials with plum tarts for dessert. We left soooooo happy. The steak skewers where cooked perfectly. The sauce was incredible. And the frites were super cripsy and the jug of wine was super affordable....I only wanted more. Great first meal in Paris! We also came here for breakfast and got a cappucino and croissant for €5.

What an experience. You are welcomed into Le Cheval d’Or by one of the service team. The open kitchen and bar seating with a dining area in the next room the restaurant has a real nice atmosphere and vibe. All I can say is come hungry and know you are in for a great culinary experience. We sat at the bar in front of the kitchen and I lover every moment watching the chefs work as a team. However if that’s not your jam request the dining area. Each plate was well thought out and 10/10. If you can visit Le Cheval d’Or, do it.

We had a wonderful experience at Cheval d’Or in Paris. It’s a cozy, intimate restaurant offering Asian–French fusion cuisine, and we chose the 6-course menu. The service was extremely welcoming and accommodating — I had missed the email asking to confirm my bank details, yet they still managed to find us a table, which I truly appreciated.
The whole atmosphere felt warm and thoughtful, and the experience was incredibly cohesive. It wasn’t just a sequence of dishes — it felt like a complete story. Each course complemented the next, everything was well-designed and refined down to the details. I especially appreciated that the food wasn’t “molecular” or experimental just for the sake of it; instead, it showed great respect for the ingredients, textures, flavors, and aromas.
Some highlights for me were the foie gras (exceptionally delicate), the scallops, the corn and shiitake broth, and the apple mille-feuille. Everything else was also delicious. The only small surprise was the amuse-bouche: it was a broth that later appeared again in one of the courses. I didn’t expect that — though the broth itself was outstanding, and I would happily order it again. This didn’t affect my rating in any way.
At the end, we were served a steak. In my opinion, it could have been slightly more tender, but the combination of flavors and the overall harmony of the dish were excellent.
Overall, a truly memorable experience — highly recommended.

The best meal I had in Paris! We did the 9 course tasting menu with some dietary restrictions and were taken for an incredible ride. I can be skeptical of Chinese-French fusion, but the balance, technique, and flavor here made it one of the best meals of my life. Some bites felt like being taken back to a familiar time and place, others were new and fresh and elevated. The service was genuinely warm and went above and beyond for my friends and I, and the space is so beautiful.

Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. The food was innovative and delicious, the staff were all very nice and helpful, the design, the service and the total experience - an absolute 10/10. Is it a little pricy, and definitely not an everyday restaurant? yes. Was is absolutely worth every euro? Absolutely.
We had the 9 course dinner, which turned out to be more with some lovely extras like the shiitake-cucumber broth, the vanilla- passion fruit desert and more. Every dish was better than the previous. The dessert, although I am not usually a pavlova fan - was incredible. A must try.
guy dragunsky - 6 months ago
This dinner lived up to the hype for us! We did the smaller tasting menu and am always curious how the portion sizing is for this type of menu, but the portions were perfect. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The food was flavorful, interesting, and incredibly memorable. We had the seasonal asparagus, cucumber/strawberry dishes, tortellini, mushroom dumplings, pork chop, and strawberry pavlova dessert. The dessert was amazing!!
The interior is beautiful and had great music playing. Only atmosphere cons were that it was almost too quiet and we were sat next in the corner next to the toilets and got wafts from the toilet area every now and then.
Overall, would highly recommend for a memorable meal in Paris.

It gave me one more reason to love Paris and gave me an unforgettable experience. Lebanese food was a first for me. And I realized Lebanese food is truly amazing. It was so delicious such an amazing!!! Make me sad because after I don’t know I could find this same restaurant in Korea. It was refreshing, not greasy, hearty, and so delicious that word will never describe how much it is good. And the restaurant workers and owner are so nice, sweet, gentle and full of youthful energy. The price is reasonable and I think I will be looking for Lebanese food anywhere where I am in the future.

The food is ok for the price, it looks good in the photos, but in terms of taste it is not wow, I would say a little dry or too sour. The staff is fine, but they throw the menus at you. I guess it is a good deal but I am not sure if I would come back, also the neighbourhood is a little sketchy. (we had the shared plate and chicket chawarma)

Excellent Neapolitan pizza! I've been coming here for years and it's still my favorite in Paris.
They have such a good and wide selection of toppings for both white and tomato-based pizzas that it's difficult to choose. The wine is fine and the bottles affordable.

We had a really great meal here. The food was excellent, really first class and as close to pizza from Italy as I have found outside. It's a real locals joint and the service matches, made to feel totally welcome.
Can I just say now that having lived with an Italian who makes pretty much the best Tiramisu, Il Posto's is right up there.
Wonderful evening
