I feel for consistently handing out five stars (selection bias) when there are places lile L'esprit de famille, which deserves 10 starts
On the same scale.
Service couldn't have been more attentive and charming, through and through.
The massive, almost mutant, perfectly rosy duck breasts were a hit. The tarte tatain light and home
Made, without added sugar and puff pastry,
The wine and mint
Drink out of this world. Come here if you see
It on the map, seek it out, it's a revelation, even in paris! Worth the walk, any day!

Restaurant we recommend by a friend from Paris. We weren’t let down at all!
Small and cozy family run restaurant.
We were the only guests at the time we got in. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and had made this an unique experience.
Food was also very good! The couscous we delicious and could have served two people.
Go there if you want to feel among friends and have good food.

My wife and I were looking for somewhere for our first dinner on our honeymoon.
We stumbled across L'Espirit de Famille and it was perfect.
It is unpretentious and welcoming. The service was warm and friendly. I'm sorry i did not catch his name but our host was so generous with his time and aided our food and drink selection.
The food was fantastic and nothing else has topped it. What a perfect start to our honeymoon!

A very homey and welcoming family-own restaurant that left me with a warm feeling inside, both literally and figuratively.
The owners felt very thoughtful. I ate here three times over the course of three days! On the first day, I had the veal special, which came in a cast iron skillet. On Friday, they have an amazing couscous special. On Monday, I had the dorade special!
🔥😍❤️🔥
The fondant au chocolat pictured was amazing.
The establishment seems very unassuming from the outside. The attention to detail when it comes to the food and service were amazing!

Excellent dining option a few blocks from Gar de Lyon. They serve some classic French dishes like streak and potatoes, which we got. And also some of their house specialties like the chicken with crayfish in butter sauce -- amazing dish!
My favorite, however, was the snout salad. It was surprisingly refreshing during a hot summer day. Service was at pat with most restaurants in Paris. Will return to try other specialities next time. Recommended! Note that there are limited seafood options.

One of the best meals I have ever had in Paris. And I'm lucky enough in my life that I've had many, many good meals here. The food at Le Quincy is superb. We split a tart made out of leeks to begin that was amazing. My wife had Coq au Vin and I have the scallops. Both dishes astounded us with their virtuosity and I might add their quantity! fine selection of wines and superb dessert. What a find!

A traditional French restaurant which offers classification dishes, it’s small but very cosy. It seems like people dining there are the regular one and they know each other. A gentleman on the next table chatted with us. It was from him that we knew the owner (who is still working in the restaurant) is over 80 years ago. The owner and the staff are all extremely friendly even they don’t really speak English. There is no English menu available but you can always find a way to order and communicate with them. You get a small class of bubble as a welcome drink once seated. I think this place deserves more rating.

Best fois gras in Paris! If I come back to Paris, this restaurant will be one of the reasons. Chef and servers are not fluent in English, but they are humorous and willing to listen to customers. Wines are very affordable. For the dessert, I recommend a chocolate mousse. cash only.

Delicious food, delightful hosts, and well-decorated restaurant made for a wonderful lunch. Prices are definitely reasonable when quantity and quality are factored in (but they are definitely more expensive than what you can find in the neighborhood these days). The "plats du jour" are definitely recommended. No wonder it has been featured in the Michelin guide for so long! Don't skip on the "tarte aux poireaux" for starters and on the homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert!

Great meal 👌 & hands down best service I've ever had anywhere. I loved my meal. My wife disliked her appetizer, so they brought out another for her that she liked very much. You can tell the owner is passionate about his business and we had a sense he was genuine about making us happy customers!

Cute spot close to our Airbnb so we visited for a drink our first arrival. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind and wanted to chat even though our french was novice level. We went back for nightcaps during our stay and was welcomed each time. Our cocktails were delicious and prices fair.

Best dining experience on our trip to Paris! The woman who served us (maybe the owner?) was so hospitable and friendly. She really made us feel at home and cared for. The fried calamari was excellent! And what a beautiful outdoor seating area. I’ll be back every time I visit Paris!

Next to my AirBnb. The owner (I think he is the owner) Farid. He is very kind and nice. At that time during my stay in that area, Farid was only serving food during lunch. I bought his beef soup with vegetables and I am still dreaming about it until now!

A very chill but viral Thai restaurant giving a view on the Seine! The lady who served us is extremely nice and friendly, which made my birthday a very pleasant one 😊the dishes are refreshing and flavorful, with authentic ingredients that I haven’t been tasting for quite a while. Very vegetarian friendly as well.
Highly recommend the corn beignets and the green mango
salad 🦚many thanks again!

We were looking for a Thai restaurant in the vicinity when we came across freshly decorated Baabbeck. Although they don’t have an extensive menu, but the food we tried was excellent. The Pad Thai was not only visually pleasing but also one of the best I have ever eaten. The green curry was very original and well balanced. The papaya salad was simply delicious. Certainly a Thai restaurant that doesn’t disappoint.
Fardad - 2 months ago
Amazing Thai food is a really cool and unique atmosphere. I had the green mango salad and pork dish. Thought the flavors were excellent for salad and loved that it was actually spicy which can sometimes be harder to find in Europe in my experience. The mango itself could have been a little more firmer and crunchy but I still highly recommend the dish. The addition of tomatoes and dragon fruit was delicious and so fresh. Thought the pork and rice were also good but different than what I was expecting. The pork was like ground beef texture. Portion sizes were large and prices were reasonable. Presentation was also good. I really liked the overall vibe of the restaurant. The decor includes lots of plants and there are also some interesting surprises and talking pieces. With the modern zen vibe I think this would be a good date night restaurant. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes.

Looking for a thai restaurant with my friends, we discovered this lovely place nearby. The location is really nice, with the tables not too close. The waiters were really nice, helping us with some really good suggestions: papaya salad was really good as well as the pad Thai. Highly recommended if you want to try something different from the French cuisine.

This is a gem in the 12th arr. open late Sunday dinner (many restaurants are closed).
Understated elegant place with food that matches. The appetizers and entrees were the best Thai I’ve had (and I’m a fan of Thai food).
Nice crowd for a Sunday 10pm.
Highly recommend you try it out!

GREAT CHINESE FOOD - GREAT PRICES
Walking around hungry near the Gare Du Lyon train station, we came upon this small, take-away sized family run restaurant. It is clean inside, quiet and no frills if you choose to grab a table. But the food is not ordinary, it is high quality Chinese, Japanese with a good, traditional selection. I had fried rice (riz cantonais), sweet and sour pork, a nim, noodles and mushroom chicken. All of the dishes were high quality. The owners are very friendly and I spoke with them a few minutes after eating to let them know I had found a good place to return to eat. While we were busily eating, several Parisians drifted in quietly, retrieving their white take away bags, so this seems to be a popular Chinese take-away hot spot as well. Paris has countless restaurants, most are good, however there are dozens upon dozens of exceptional Chinese food restaurants littered around Paris and being a Chinese food fanatic, I have made it my mission to hunt, each and every one of them down. This is another notch on my pole. Electrohermit gives Aux Bonheurs two thumbs up and I will be back.

This is by far the best Korean food I've ever eaten. I highly recommend the chicken bulgogi! The family that owns the restaurant is very kind and was very patient with us as we do not speak French. The food was so delicious that we ate there both nights we spent in Paris. Highly recommended!

I don't leave reviews often, but I had to for this restaurant. We found this place on a whim and found a hidden gem within Paris. Not only was the food up to the quality of homemade South Korean food, the atmosphere and the service/attention given to us was beyond phenomenal. I will 100% recommend this place to any South Koreans or even any other tourist looking for a hearty/filling restaurant to eat at.
We will visit this place in the future because it's easily our favorite restaurant of all time. The entire atmosphere, service, and food all just reminded me of "home".
