The food here is delicious. I had the truffle fettuccine and my husband had the breaded veal. Out of this world!!! We started with the Arancini and it was heavenly as well. The wine really hit the spot also. The vibe and ambiance of this place is so beautiful. It’s such a romantic aesthetic with the live piano. Looks just like the pictures!

Went here the other night, I really believe the bad reviews are just one offs (slightly sensitive people). The ambiance is spectacular, live piano music really sets a nice tone. The food was really good, portions are perfekt size and drinks are well made. Staff friendly and attentive. Only tiny thing is that you should make it clear that the little starter biscuits are not on the house as it can cause some confusion for customers. Overall wonderful experience 💫

Recently visited Paris and happened to run into this wonderful restaurant nearby our hotel. We had no reservation yet they were able to accommodate our party of 4. The food was absolutely incredible. The ambiance with the live piano music was perfect and very inviting. The pasta tasted homemade and it arrived at our table hot and incredibly tasty. Our server, Gabriella, was amazing. Very professional and accommodating to all our request. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant!

Beautiful Italian restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. Cosy, romantic setting with a library backdrop and live pianist who also sang – the music created the perfect vibe without being too loud. Starters were outstanding: the truffle bruschetta was divine and the arancini were crispy, delicious, and full of flavour. Mains were more mixed – the truffle & mushroom risotto was bland and too al dente, but the penne arrabiata was simple, spicy and tasty. Overall, the food was good (starters especially), but the live music and atmosphere made this place a must-visit in Paris.

Bel Ami Café offers a very high-quality brunch. The welcome is perfect, the atmosphere is very calm, and the hotel is beautiful. As for the food, the savory dishes are excellent and very varied. Fish, beef, chicken, cooked vegetables, beautiful salads, and shellfish are among the highlights. Kudos to the selection and quality of the preparations and ingredients. Let's talk about the improvements that I think could be made: The breads and the sweet selection don't live up to the excellent savory buffet. The jam selection is very poor, and the breads are a bit dry and lacking in crispness. As for the pastries, apart from the beautifully crafted chocolate mousse, the desserts are not up to the standard of the savory buffet. The tart crusts and lemon dessert cream are heavy, the cookies taste unremarkable and are very sweet, the panna cotta is average, the tarte tatin lacks butter in the pastry and caramel in the apples, and the brownies lack texture. We will return and continue to do so.

Delicious hot fresh foccacia sandwiches. I love all the options they have; so this will suit anyone. You can see the bread being baked fresh. And then again after they put in the toppings. I went with the Stonker; which is fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, arugula and olive oil. I made them add balsamic as well which made it even better. €9 is a steal for such a big sandwich. Order first and then lots of place to sit and eat upstairs. Must visit in Paris.

Great place to have a budget friendly meal. I had the sandwich+drink+dessert combo. It was delicious, fresh, and at a very reasonable price. The only thing I would improve is the choice of drinks, as only a few sodas or water are available. A simple lemonade would have made my meal perfect.

Best restaurant if you follow intermittent fasting you can have your balanced salad of the day and on with your day in Paris. Very healthy choice of salads and they offer the best apple crumble and tiramisu. All this at a very good price. Amazing restaurant if you want to stay at a low budget. Amazing!!! Will definitely use again.

We arrived 30 minutes before their dinner opening on a Sunday and were the 20th in line. Fortunately, we made it into the first round of guests to be seated. Ordering is simple: they ask for your preferred level of doneness, then take drink and dessert orders. Drinks and bread arrived quickly, followed by our entrees of steak and fries. The green pepper sauce was delicious with the steak, but it also tasted great for soaking the fries. After we finished our steak and fries, they brought over a second serving. I enjoyed ending the meal with the crème brûlée. Service was quick as we were in and out in about an hour.

3.25 ⭐️ Set menu (€29), which keeps things simple: salad, steak, fries, and their signature sauce. Service was decent, and food came out efficiently. 🥩 The salad was heavily dressed, bordering on overpowering, but the fries were crisp and enjoyable. 🥩 Steak is offered only rare or medium—cooked well but quite lean, leaving it less indulgent than expected. The sauce, a peppery mustard blend, added flavor but wasn’t mind-blowing. Overall, worth trying but not a must-return.

Went here for the 3 course traditional French meal and I’m so glad we did. We first started with a salad , followed by our mains which was the traditional beef cooked to your choice and served with the secret sauce. This was followed by various dessert options. We went for the Creme Brulee and the dark chocolate profiteroles. The waitress serving us was extremely pleasant and charming. Love the attire worn by the staff here.

Way too touristy and crowded for me. I generally refuse to stand in line for a restaurant, but this was an enthusiastic recommendation from one of my best friends, so I decided to do it. And it was a very long line! Well worth the line as a tourist’s experience, but I wouldn’t keep coming back having so many other options in Paris. The steak was fine, just a bit chewy, not my favorite cut and no options to choose from. Their famous sauce is indeed delicious, though not so much to keep me coming back and enduring the line. The fries were fine, not awesome and again not my favorite choice with meat. The salad was very tasty and fresh. Serving the course in two rounds is a great idea. You get a generous serving and it’s always fresh on your plate. Given the huge number of people they serve, service was friendly and fast. I didn’t feel the pressure to free my table, though the thought of it lurked around. I decided to skip dessert, and the people on the table next to me (close enough to chat during the meal which turned out to be a good thing) joked that I wouldn’t miss much!

If I could give it 10 stars I would! Dont be phased by the long line outside, it moves very quickly and everyone deserves to try this special steak frites experience! We waited for 20 minutes and got sat down pretty quickly (as only two of us) at about 10pm. The waitress was brilliant, super nice, and the food came very quickly. As steak lovers, we ordered rare, and loved it! Imagine beef tartare quality with seared sides, highly recommend! We leave tomorrow morning, otherwise would totally come back for round two! MUST TRY THIS! Our waitress Nabila was the kindest! Made us feel so welcome, helped us choose our wine, never put pressure on us, and just all smiles! Best possible final dinner in Paris we could’ve asked for 🫶 can’t wait to return next time we are in Paris!

We randomly saw this bar and the ambiance inside! We danced the whole night, and this nice waitress/bartender made us a very great cocktails! Thank you Sofia for making our evening so special and unforgettable!! Coming back for sure, especially for skinny Margarita haha.

We went to the pub to explore the culture in Paris as tourits. Manuelle attended to us and provided good drink recommendations. The ambience is nice and with the match going on, the atmosphere is great. Drinks were a 5, food was ok, maybe a 3. We had a really great time.

This was one of my favourite restaurants during my Paris trip. The interior is stunning, open, airy and inviting filled with plants. It’s a French fusion restaurant with touches of Asian and Japanese flavours. Reservations are a must here as it’s a very busy restaurant especially during nights. The service is impeccable honestly one of the best we’ve experience in Paris. The waiter is very attentive, friendly and overall makes you feel like you’re lifelong friends. We had a party of 4 and ordered quite a few dishes to try out. The salmon dishes were all amazing, fish was fresh and of quality. Two of my favourite was definitely the poke bowl and scallops. Every dish has dynamic flavouring, however the only one that was lacklustre was the dish. We felt it was a little bland and lacking in complexity. The desserts were all amazing as well, not too sweet and the perfect ending. I’d definitely recommend this place!

This place is a rare pearl (literally) in Paris. Good is really good, the place is beautiful, and the service is impeccable. The only BUT is that they only have one vegan/vegetarian option and is not WOW! Is good tho but not at the same level as the other dishes. The love night party is fun, unique and charming! Super recommended!

Great experience! The atmosphere is mostly cozy, though occasionally marred by loud music and wait times during busy hours. Don’t forget to book before. While the food presentation and taste are commendable, it is a bit pricey (around €80-100 per person). But worth a visit for a distinct Parisian experience!

I decided to have a solo date, dress up and find a good spot to eat. I happened upon Chez Papa Jazz while looking for a place to chill that was friendly to 40+ yo looking for a certain type of vibe. Chez Papa definitely met my expectations. I got very lucky without a reservation, and was seated right in front of the drummer and pianist. The pianist, after one of their numbers, said “I hope you like drums” and we had a good laugh. I ate something. It was delicious. I don’t remember what it was. Just go and have a good time! As a tall person I’ll say the bathroom ceiling is low! Also, only cash is accepted, so be prepared. I recommend this place as a chill, fun, music-filled place to go. I personally wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation there but 1) I am a bit soft-spoken and 2) I was sitting next to the musicians. Enjoy ☺️

Getting a reservation by phone was impossible, so we just dropped in—and what a find! This place is an undiscovered gem, though well-known among Parisians. It's a fantastic jazz restaurant with a superb atmosphere, and it's definitely worth a visit. The venue strikes a perfect balance of classy and alternative vibes, with dim lighting, iron beams, and brick walls covered in love messages from lovers. Expect a fun night out with great food, wine, and music!

What i would consider as an undiscovered gem, the Parisiens know it well, but not many others do! An excellent atmosphere in what is a great jazz club. The music varies, and when we visited, it was with a Christmas theme. The choice of food is limited but very well done. Always very much worth a visit.

Chez Papa Jazz Club offers a wonderful atmosphere, with an intimate setting and outstanding live music that truly enhances the experience. The service was impeccable, and the staff stood out as the highlight of the evening - attentive, friendly, and professional. However, the food was disappointing, especially considering the prices. We ordered several starters and three main dishes, but the portions were extremely small - more suited for children than a proper meal. The flavors were underwhelming, and we found ourselves relying on the provided salt to add some taste. Given the high prices, the value simply wasn’t there. Additionally, there were unexpected charges. Despite the already steep pricing, we were also charged an entry fee, which was not communicated in advance. Another inconvenience is that the restaurant currently does not accept credit cards, so bringing cash is necessary. Overall, Chez Papa Jazz Club is worth visiting for the music and atmosphere, but not for the dining experience. If you plan to go, be aware that a food order is required to stay, and be prepared for the costs. While it was an interesting experience, I wouldn’t return.

Crowded with very good vibe and amazing service. Food is average but the waitresses as very very cool. Each of them wearing the dress or outfit they choose themselves to show the character. I loved being there. It’s not about food though it’s more about lifestyle.

Great for tourists. Fantastic modern decor. Decent food but not great. Quite enjoyable until it came time to pay. Then we were faced with a VERY aggressive “I expect more than service compris” from our server. We did not agree and our server was very upset and ignored us from that point on. Refused to acknowledge us as we left. Nothing has changed from when I was a kid living in Paris. Nobody likes tourists.

I visited Vagenende with my family for an early dinner while on vacation and had a lovely meal. The restaurant staff offered a warm welcome and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Marco was our host and he was absolutely wonderful! He was kind, friendly, and offered great insights and suggestions - we could not have been better attend to. The food was delicious; it was prepared extremely well and the portion size was very filling. We were very glad to have stopped by and hope to return in the future!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! It was recommended by someone at our hotel, and I'm so glad we followed their advice. First of all, the space is beautifully decorated: lavish yet warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive (bounjour, Bogdan!). And the food... WOW! As soon as we sat, we were offered to start our evening with champagne or kir royales (yes, please!) along with simple but delicious black olive spread and fresh bread to start. We ordered the lamb with ratatouille (Sunday's dish of the day) and the cod fillet. Both were incredibly flavorful -- the lamb was so tender and rich, and the team at Vagenende recommended the perfect wine pairing to go with it. We ended the meal with a crème brûlée that was perfect -- not too sweet, with the perfectly caramelized crust. Please go, you won't regret it.

How did I not know about this little taste of Heaven until last night! Geez! But okay before I say more that may in anyway detract from or portray this post as disingenuous or overhyped, I’ll simply say please try this for yourselves and see if you agree or disagree on their very kind and professional staff, their perfectly cooked and delicious delicious food and quaintly attractive old French ambiance. I wrote down our waiter’s name to include for his kindness and service but my sweetheart threw it away by accident. But I don’t believe the service quality is specific by waiter yet my thanks to you Sir and to all your team. Will definitely come back and hope to sit at table 44 again!

My mom and I spent a week in Paris for the first time, and this restaurant was our most memorable from the trip! We were recommended to go here from our wonderful friends at Hotel de Saints Pères (incredible Hotel!) and the ambience was so incredibly fun!! The place was decorated with so much character, we felt like we went back in time! Our waiter was so fun and friendly with great recommendations. Our food was great, picture below. Also, if you’re looking to party, all you need is to order the Rum Baba at the end of your meal! 😂
