Lapérouse Paris is truly a unique gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re struck by the incredible interior that instantly transports you—almost as if you’ve stepped back into the age of Hemingway. Every detail feels rich with history and charm, creating an atmosphere that’s both inspiring and deeply inviting.
The food is absolutely delicious, each dish crafted with care and full of flavor. The service is impeccable as well—attentive, warm, and perfectly in tune with the restaurant’s refined character.
One of the standout features is the collection of separate private rooms. They’re not only beautiful but also incredibly cozy, adding to the restaurant’s distinctive and intimate feel. It’s the kind of place where you can savor a meal slowly, enjoy great company, and feel completely at ease.
Lapérouse is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience. Highly recommended.

My family and I went to Laperouse for dinner a few months ago, and it was one of the most outstanding dinners of my life. First, the service was incredibly nice, and they brought the food out at the same time as everybody else. The atmosphere was very different from other restaurants I had been to, but in a good way! It was very romantic with dim lighting, well-decorated napkins, tablecloths, and curtains. For being such an old mansion, the restaurant did an amazing job decorating the room. They also had a lot of velvet, which helped the restaurant feel more historic, along with their antique furniture. Also, they had live music, making the dining room feel lively and energetic.
The meals were also amazing! They had something for everyone, and my mom, who is a picky vegetarian, loved her food. She had a salad, and so did my dad. For the entrée, my brother and I both had steak, and the sauce was so tasty! It really made the steak an 11/10! I also thought the mocktails were amazing. Laperouse is definitely a kid-friendly and date-worthy restaurant worth visiting!

Happened to make a reservation 30 minutes before. (We booked an early dinner at 7:30 on a Tuesday) if you want a later dinner I recommend booking more in advanced.
Anyways I didn’t realized how popular this place is for celebrities. It’s iconic inside the interior decor is immaculate. Perfect for cute aesthetic outfit pics so dress accordingly.
The dinner was a vibe and absolutely delicious. The staff is incredible and very intentional.
I had the ketal popcorn popstar martini it was decident but delish. For dinner I had the caviar pasta. It was a smash. I highly recommend it for your dinner.
Definitely a fun place to take people to from out of town

A memorable and unique experience! Beautiful service to the private dining room, it felt very special and personalised. We enjoyed a selection of starters mains and deserts. All of which were delicious - and many gluten free options too. Not only were they presented and tasted excellent, but much of the food service is done at the table which adds to the experience. The snails and the scallops were particularly good. The server was also kind enough to provide gluten free bread for me. The experience is worth the cost for fine private dining in a very luxurious and unique environment.

We came with great expectations!
4 hostess greated us and took us to the upper floor table. The service was perfect. The wine list os vast BUT the prices are outrageous!!! Not normal! Wines that costs 300eur a bottle in other restaurants were priced 1300eur
Mouton Rothschild from an ok vintage goes for 3500eur?!?!
We ended up ordering a chateaux de bucastel 2004 for 500eur!!! Outrageous!
The food generally was very good
The beef Wellington was tasteless and you shouldn't order it although it is one of the "classic" dishes there.
The piano and singer was a very nice touch and added to the very good vibe.
The bar after dinner was very nice and again the service at the bat was perfect regardless of the fact that the place was packed.

The Alain Ducasse owned Allard, is one of those timeless Left Bank institutions that seem to have captured the essence of old Paris without trying. I started with escargots, rich with garlicky parsley butter, followed by ris de veau, tender and golden. Each bite was deep and comforting, the flavours familiar yet indulgent.
The wine, le Merle Blanc de Château Clarke 2023 was bright and elegant, a beautiful pairing that carried the meal effortlessly. I finished with a plate of cheese: a blue, a goat, and a washed rind, each with its own quiet personality.
It’s the quality of service that makes the difference between a good and great restaurant and the service at Allard was brilliant.
Well done to the team at Allard for making my last Parisian dinner of this trip so memorable.

An unforgettable dining experience at Allard a truly classic and historic Parisian restaurant. We loved the Homard bleu rafraîchi, the Escargots en coquilles, the Filet de bœuf doré, sauce aux poivres, and the Turbot façon Dugléré. Every dish was full of distinctive flavors, and the service was simply excellent.
A timeless Parisian gem that I highly recommend

A classic French restaurant in the heart of Paris, with a very interesting space that has maintained its authenticity over time. Nice food — simple and unpretentious — good service, and great wine. A pleasant experience; I recommend it.

A cult place for 100%. Why 4 stars when everything is 5? A place for people on a budget. Because honestly, this place is only for those who can afford it, and I don't mean that they appreciate it.
Service outstanding and advanced.
The food is simply amazing, I didn't even take a single photo, in my opinion, it would just be disrespectful to those who prepared these incredible dishes.
Do I recommend, yes, for pleasure and enjoyment (and be ready to pay for it)
Reservation, recommended.

On our various trips to Paris we’ve made it a point to come to Allard almost every single trip. On each visit we leave satisfied and happy with the experience.
We feel that the food here is some of the most authentic and classic bistro food that you can find, plus it is cooked almost perfectly.
However, our only gripe/complaint is that every time we come the prices seem to be getting more expensive. Hence the 4 star rating.
All in all, if you’re looking for some classic authentic bistro food with classic dishes that seem to be disappearing like frog legs and pan seared foie gras, Allard is definitely the place to visit.
The funny thing is, while I complain about the price, I have a feeling I’ll still be coming back for another classic French bistro meal the next time I find myself in Paris!

Lovely atmosphere in a space that used to be a bookstore many years ago. Picturesque setting with delicious food. One of the dishes that was ordered was vegetarian, cooked from scratch and tasted carefully prepared.”

We were a bit surprised to find such a charming place, with fantastic food so close to the Notre Dame, but this is Paris, not London, so maybe we shouldn't have been!
Massive shout out to the brilliant woman running the floor (I am going to assume she owns the joint) who happily took pity on my school boy French and chatted to us so amusingly in English. She also suggested the tiramisu for dessert - and if you taste it, you will understand why. I still ordered (as well) the crème brulee which was also a sensation. She was less happy about my asking for some butter and in fairness the bread was so good it didn't really need it. But y'know, butter.

The cozy atmosphere and wonderful service made this dining experience a true highlight to our trip. The food was delicious and fresh. It was a hearty, homemade French meal. My husband had baked fish and I had a ratatouille quiche. This did not feel like a space where many tourists visit. It was a wonderful find for us and gave us a chance to experience French cuisine not too far from our hotel. The server and chef were gracious. It is a place we hope to return to someday.

One of the best dining experiences of my life. Starting from the moment you step in, the staff , the chef everyone is very focused on your experience. And the food is incredible - complex, layered, interesting and not heavy. Not related but also a nice break from the typical French food which not saying is not amazing. Please go to
Ze kitchen galerie to experience the place and the food. Also they are very accommodating - mentioned that we are no pork during the time of the reservation and it was no problem.

My wife picked this michelin for lunch. Started with a nice soup that is slightly sour carrying a taste of tom yum, followed by starters of fish and lobster that were impeccably cooked and presented.
Our mains were cuttlefish, duck and fish. I love they made my cuttlefish like noodles which are fresh and cooked nicely, the duck is medium rare and tender like heaven. My daughter's fish is equally perfectly made, she's thrilled as a fish lover.
The desserts are refreshingly light, and I like them not filling and not too sweet akin to other typical French desserts.

A truly excellent meal. The restaurant is well-deserving of its Michelin star, and I was particularly impressed with the value of their lunch offering. The food was superb from start to finish. Beyond the cuisine, the staff cultivated a welcoming and pleasant environment, contributing significantly to the positive experience. It's a place I would recommend for high-caliber dining that remains accessible.

Perfectly executed display of French gourmet inventive and genius.
The menu started with a sip of broth that combined green flavors followed by a duck croquet which made me give meaning to the haute cuisine meaning, then each one of the dishes telling a story on it's own.
I personally found the last savory pork dish a bit like a rough turn from the harmonious ramp up of flavors but still a reminder of the traditional French flavors.
The night ends with a couple of desserts that blows your mind with lot's of textures and flavors combined to elevate the entire experience.
Thanks for the great dinner

Fascinating fusions and an interesting approach to modern cooking. Somewhat acidic profile that does at times overwhelm the senses. Good value for money if you go for the lunch option. Staff are friendly but a bit superficial

Second time in this place, this time weekend and it was just wonderful. Ambiance, live singing and piano, delicious food and drinks, friendly staff. This is a place for people who love live singing and edgy panache atmosphere. We were lucky to have different performers and everyone is so talented. This place is for people with a soul 🥰 who appreciate warmth ams passion vibes. I always make reservations to guarantee immediate availability. Gets really busy after 9pm.

A drink after the concert at the church opposite. Long island iced tea tasted a bit funny. Good view of Notre dame cathedral. Singer not the best & had to push past him to get to toilet.

I went last night to celebrate my birthday on my first night in Paris and unfortunately left really disappointed. The food was genuinely good and the first singer was amazing, beautiful voice, great energy, and perfect song choices.
But once the later singers started, everything changed. The volume shot up to around 110 dB, and they were literally screaming into the mic. It was so loud that it actually hurt our ears and completely ruined the night. Definitely not how I imagined spending my birthday.
If you’re sensitive to loud music, I’d recommend leaving once the girl singers start. Great place for food, but the sound levels seriously need improvement.

Truly enjoyed my evening here. The service was superb - so fast and thoughtful. The waiter saw me struggling to get service on my phone and immediately connected me to the Wifi!
Very rare indeed.
The band were highly skilled.
I’ve been watching live Jazz bands around the World and I knew immediately they were top notch. I just wish that other guests were more respectful to the musicians and staff.
We encountered some very rude people who kept talking so loudly over the musicians and seemed interested in only recording videos for their social media (??) I thought they were also very rude to the kind waiter when they asked loudly “MENUUUUU. You know MENU?”. The waiter was most professional in dealing with them.
The food and wine was fantastic. My friend had the chicken fingers - so crispy and juicy. I had the charcuterie and the cheese was so yummy.
A most comfortable place. Clean and with AC. Highly recommend this lovely spot.
My friend and I really enjoyed ending our night out here.
We felt safe and welcomed - most important for female travellers. I hope to come here again soon.

We had a really fun experience here. We came for the dinner and live music and weren't sure what we were getting into. The live music was not what I expected. I thought we might catch like a French jazz group, but it turns out it wasn't that kind of place. They had a 2-person French pop rock cover band performing mostly American rock songs. Unexpected, but really fun. The food and drinks were okay and a little pricey. I came to Paris to eat French food so I was a little disappointed to find mostly burgers and pulled pork bbq, but that's also on me for not looking up a menu. We had good service though!

My daughter and I visited here during our recent trip to Paris, we were given a very warm welcome, quick service and delicious food. We were given a basket of complimentary bread with our meal, which was replenished when we had eaten it all. We shared fried frogs legs and escargot for starter, then the frog burger with fries and sausage & mashed potatoes for the main. If we had been staying longer, we would definitely have gone back for another meal.

The duck confit was rich and tender, the frogs legs were perfectly seasoned, and the pâté was smooth and flavorful. The wine selection paired beautifully with the meal. Service was attentive and excellent. — Truly a wonderful experience.

Authentic French Classics with a Great Vibe!
Stumbled upon this place without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away, even during a busy hour. The staff was friendly, and they provided an English menu which made ordering easy.
I tried the fried frog legs and the beef tartare—both were absolutely excellent.
The atmosphere was lively, with a fun pop-rock soundtrack from the 70s and 80s playing in the background, which added to the charm.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy traditional French cuisine in a welcoming setting !

Reviewing as a Canadian and American citizen, if you miss the atmosphere of a great white north establishment while in Paris, look no more. Food, beer and service were great, despite their obvious loyalty to the Montreal Canadians (a suffering Leafs supporter here). We had a lot of fun there after attending mass at nearby Cathedral of Notre Dame.
