5 Star Rating As a vegetarian it was an absolute dream to go somewhere where i can experience the full French cuisine experience and eat anything on the menu. The food was absolutely superb and so filling i couldn't take on a desert. What i loved is they offer a range of unique and tasty soft drinks too. This is a must visit for any veggies/ vegans but even my meat eating partner loved it all. The staff here were so friendly too, and its a cosy eatery in a lovely part of town.

5 Star Rating Had reservations (Sunday night), but we showed up an hour early. They were able to seat us, but they were very busy. We got water and menus quickly, but it was a few minutes for drinks. As busy as it was, and we were not even supposed to be there, that was fine. For meals, I got the recommended seitan bourguignon. It was fantastic! My wife got the smoked tofu cassolette, which was good, but not in the same league as the seitan. We were too full for dessert.

5 Star Rating They don't allow for more than 5 stars for the food or I would choose that. The food is perfect. Such great French flavors in vegan dishes. The service is great and very personable. Even if you are not absorbing Vegan or Vegetarian, you will be amazed by the food.

4 Star Rating We were there, to experience French cuisine reimagined to vegan, and it did not feel like that were that many food options. However the ones that were, were an alright selection. I would have loved more fresh vegetables, especially on the dish of the day. The dish I had, was the dish of the day and it was a bit bland but alright; not my favorite but maybe I just don't enjoy french food that much. My partner had the crepe and that tasted amazing. The desert was superb. The restaurant itself did feel crammed, we were sitting super close to two other tables, and we could hear everyone else's conversations. During the evening a new waiter showed up and also seemed a bit sour in his mood. The two other waiters were pleasant and offered wonderful service. All in all a pretty good and not too expensive experience.

5 Star Rating We had such a great meal here! We have been coming to Paris for years, and this trip we decided to finally give this Paris institution a try. The food was everything we expected and more! Every detail was executed to the highest level one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber and price range. My partner and I have had meals all over the world and this experience was no different. The food did not fall short in any regard. From what we ordered everything was fantastic and we’re hard pressed to choose any standouts. However, of particular note is the Sea Bass and Langoustine. But, that’s not to say the other dishes were bad in anyway, these two dishes just left more of an impression on us. While we did enjoy the veal, we felt that we could have given this a miss as we were quite full by the time this course got served. While service was impeccable and the atmosphere is what one would expect of a three starred restaurant. We felt that at times the service was a bit pretentious. I kept comparing it to other more casual three starred experiences I’ve had in Spain etc, which were more friendly and less clinical. But, these are small nitpicks on a wonderful experience. If you were to ask me if I’d come back again however, I’d probably lean more towards no considering the price one has to pay. This really is one of those restaurants you do have to experience once in your lifetime and that’s about it.

5 Star Rating L’Ambroisie is the embodiment of what Michelin 3-star dining should be: refined, authentic, and grounded in tradition. In contrast to the growing number of trendy fine dining establishments chasing novelty with gimmicks and theatrics, L’Ambroisie stands firm in its devotion to classic French gastronomy—elegant, focused, and deeply rooted in culinary heritage. The setting is exquisite. Located in a 17th-century townhouse on Place des Vosges, the dining room is quiet, richly decorated, and full of character. It feels less like a restaurant and more like a private salon—a place where time slows down and every detail matters. What impressed me most, beyond the cuisine, was the supreme level of service. Traditional in the best sense: polished, discreet, and genuinely warm. I felt respected from the moment I arrived, and it was clear that the staff carry a deep pride in what they do. There’s a sincerity and passion here that can’t be faked. L’Ambroisie doesn’t shout for your attention—it doesn’t need to. Its excellence speaks softly, through perfect technique, an unwavering sense of identity, and a commitment to true hospitality. For anyone who values substance over spectacle, this is an experience not to be missed.

5 Star Rating Before visiting L’Ambroisie, I had read some reviews—especially from other Asian diners—mentioning that the service felt cold or unwelcoming. I’ll admit that it made me a little hesitant. But given the restaurant’s long-standing three Michelin stars, it felt like a place we had to try at least once. And I’m so glad we did—because our experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuine. The staff made our whole family feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. One surprise highlight was that one of the female staff members spoke Chinese fluently, which was both impressive and unexpectedly comforting. L’Ambroisie does not offer a tasting menu, so each guest orders individually. For starters, the soft-boiled egg with caviar and the curried langoustine were both exceptional. While the ingredients and seasonings themselves weren’t unfamiliar, the way they were combined created new and memorable flavor experiences. That kind of innovation—working within tradition—is what truly impressed me. The mains (pigeon and veal) took the meal to another level. It felt like each course built upon the last, growing in depth and satisfaction. That said, the amuse-bouche at the beginning was actually quite simple—perhaps a little underwhelming—and I noticed that each table seemed to receive different ones, based on the plating and dishes used. For dessert, we were recommended the signature chocolate tart. I can honestly say it’s the best chocolate tart I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced between sweetness and bitterness, crisp yet rich, complex yet comforting. The petits fours at the end were delightful, especially a chocolate covered hazelnut bite that one of my family members loved so much the server kindly brought out another one just for them. That moment of kindness really sealed the whole experience. Overall, it was a beautiful evening from start to finish, filled with great food and lovely service. If you’re on the fence because of some negative comments, don’t be. We left with full hearts and full stomachs—and absolutely no regrets.

2 Star Rating Overpriced and disappointing 3 Michelin stars restaurant. The food isn't bad. It is just not worth the price tag. Although the ingredients are good, the outcome is very disappointing. The dishes, although delicious, take an excessive amount of time to wait for. There are much better restaurants in Paris with outstanding service and reasonable prices.

The burger and fries was delicious and we got the nachos and to finish it up a banana split. 3 Star Rating Can’t complain about the taste of the food but some other issues. The banana French toast Advertised as coming with banana and a caramel sauce, unfortunately there was not a single banana on my dish and a teaspoon of sauce. We asked for more of the banana caramel sauce as it didn’t seem like there was much at all and they gave us little two slices of bananas cut in half with a tiny bit of sauce 😅 the taste was great but surely could have done a better job when it’s advertised as a banana French toast. I took pics of the dish when it first came out and then after I put the extra sauce on top. The cheese fries were amazing, real cheese used and poured not just ontop but was mixed through out the fries. Our waitress with the yellow and green jersey seemed really disinterested in being there. When asked we questions she just looked annoyed but somewhat warmed up towards the end of the meal. Made it awkward when needing any sort of service from her. Over heard her getting annoyed at the table next to us when she asked “what temperature” the lady wanted her burger and the lady wasn’t understanding as typically you say “how would you like your meat cooked” When paying they have a QR scan code at the table and if you don’t pay attention it automatically gives a tip. Unfortunately wouldn’t come back even though the food was ok.

5 Star Rating Been here for a solo dinner during summer. Tables outside are placed along a very quiet street with barely any car or people passing, so ideal for dining. Had the pleasure to enjoy a beautiful sunset sky along my dinner. The risotto was great and very interesting both in terms of flavor and presentation. But what really shook me was the dessert! Really recommend (as an Italian myself)

5 Star Rating We stopped by here for a quick bite and were very pleasantly surprised. We asked if they could prep something in less than 20 minutes and the hostess smiled and told us it was no problem and that the fresh pasta was quick and could be ready fast. She was right. The pasta was delicious, and the wine spectacular. Would come here again any time. The vibe is romantic, chic and inviting. We felt more like we were guests in a beautiful home than patrons at a business. Perfect date spot or evening where you want to feel the magic of Le Marais. Recommend!

2 Star Rating The restaurant is lovely, but the service was odd and the food portions small. We ordered a bottle of chardonnay and the waitress brought it at room temperature. She told us the restaurant serves white wine that way so it can breathe and develop aroma. I may not be a wine expert, but I've been drinking white wine for 40 years and know that is wildly false. The waitress then poured herself a glass out of our bottle and skulled it, saying it was practice for them to sample the wine before the guests. Again, a first for me. So as we sit there drinking lukewarm wine, the meals are served. I ordered the fish and it was the thinnest filet, no more than a few bites, absolutely smothered in topping to disguise how small the fish piece was. Overall very expensive night for a small meal and warm white wine.

Delicious French food with tarts, sandwiches, salads and dishes of the day - but the star is obviously the cakes. They had easily 20 different cakes and pies on offer - well sized for sharing - and lots of creative options. The service was good and the place extends quite far in the back so the line to get in moves quite quickly. Definitely a new staple for future visits.

5 Star Rating A good friend of mine, who used to live in Paris, kindly recommended booking a table here for my birthday — and what a fantastic suggestion it was! By day, the venue operates as a fish shop, but in the evening, it transforms into an elegant yet cosy restaurant. My partner and I started with an appetiser before sharing 'Le Seafood,' a generous platter of mixed cooked and raw fish. I highly recommend it — the oysters were exceptional! To accompany our meal, we chose my favourite white wine, Muscadet, and were impressed by their extensive selection of quality wines. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, speaking excellent English. A special mention goes to 'The Lillies'—the two lovely waitresses, Lilly and Lilly — who took great care of us and kept us entertained all evening. To top it off, we were delighted when the chef came out to greet us and check if everything had been to our satisfaction. Despite it being the end of service and us being the last guests, they continued to make us feel welcome. To be honest, I wouldn’t think twice about returning — next time I’m in Paris, I’ll definitely stop by this amazing restaurant again!

5 Star Rating If you’re in Paris and craving a truly exceptional seafood experience, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. Nestled in a charming corner of the city, the ambiance here is both elegant and inviting, blending classic Parisian decor with a modern touch. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that each guest is well taken care of without being intrusive. Especially a waitress Imane, she made my day! The seafood offerings are nothing short of spectacular. Starting with an impeccably fresh oyster platter, each shell boasts a delicate, briny sweetness that transports you straight to the coast. The lobster and king crab are cooked to perfection, and the subtle seasoning enhances rather than masks the natural flavors. You must truly try shrimps with garlic! Overall, this restaurant is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that combines Parisian charm with the finest seafood, making it a must-visit for any seafood lover in the city. Highly recommended!

5 Star Rating Super nice small adress in le marais. A bit off the main roads which means more locals then tourists. Food was fresh and tasty. Their signature fish was outstanding. Good value for money ! Nice terrasse at the front of the place.

5 Star Rating *update photos 2025 My favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris! They only bring red quality salmon and their prices are medium (almost the same with a normal sushi place in the city). Almost everything in the menu is excellent, but I highly recommend the Shake and Shake Nagi. I also love the edamame, and in this place they really taste like the original Japanese ones. As a soft drink I recommend the green tea without sugar or if it’s in the winter the hot green tea (excellent!). For desert you need to the mochi (the one with green tea!)! Photos with all these attached. Location is excellent, just next to Hôtel de Ville and close to Notre Dame, which makes it a very good place to stop for lunch or dinner, in between tourist activities. Since the size of the restaurant is quite small (around 36-40 places) their interior design is simple and clean with many Japanese like ornaments. I also attached photos of the menu (23.06.2019). Overall, I highly recommend this place.

2 Star Rating The food is definitely not for Asian flavor. Ramen is one of the most terrible I’ve ever had in my life — it’s too soft, like soaking in soup for too long. We order a bowl and it’s just fine. Nothing special. Don’t go if you travel from Asia and like authentic Asian food.

5 Star Rating We just enjoyed a lovely evening at Don Giovanni. The food was typical Italian fare which is served internationally. Generally, the dishes were well executed - the starters were simple, yet tasty, using fresh ingredients. Our pasta dishes were wonderful. What sets this restaurant apart were the two waitresses, Emile & Julie. They truly engaged with us and wanted our experience to be special. Thank you both very much...

5 Star Rating The pasta dishes were all delicious, making me want to come back and try more varieties! The veal was slightly greasy. The tiramisu was very tasty; it would have been even better with more ladyfingers!

5 Star Rating Absolutely fabulous❤️🤌🏻 This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌 Staff is super friendly! Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it) Food 11/10 Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu! They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼‍♂️ Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰 This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris!

4 Star Rating The restaurant was great! Food was good, waitresses were super nice. I shared my ravioli plate with a friend, it satisfied us both. Inside the restaurant is very hot as there is no AC, so if you get hot easily, I would suggest to sit outside (granted it’s not sunny).

5 Star Rating The taste of the food is delicious, the squid is fragrant and the smoothies, although the meat is a bit dry, the taste is very good. Finally a piece of tiramisu is the gift from the resto, and toooo delicious Grazie🤗
