An exceptional dining experience at the Musée d'Orsay.
The Musée d'Orsay restaurant is undoubtedly a place of distinction. The setting ranks among the museum's most sophisticated spaces, with gilded walls, ceiling frescoes, elegant chandeliers, and expansive windows that transport you back in time, creating an atmosphere of the highest caliber.
While the tables maintain elegant simplicity, the colorful plastic designer chairs—though personally not to my taste—somehow contribute to the overall sense of refined class. The cuisine is of exceptional quality, with even the youngest diners finding satisfaction through their dedicated children's menu. The fried fish is particularly delicious.
The Caesar salad stands among the finest I've enjoyed in Paris, though I would personally prefer the chicken slightly roasted rather than steamed—nonetheless, it remains excellent. The service deserves special mention, and the ice cream is an absolute delicacy.
While not budget-friendly, the pricing feels justified given such an extraordinary setting. Highly recommended for a memorable Parisian dining experience that combines culinary excellence with unparalleled ambiance.

Very nice ambiance and delicious food, also very professional service. We have tried duck breast, sea bass and chicken filler, all of them were delicious. The Wallace and decorations in the dining hall were also amazing. We recommend!

Beautifully cooked duck. It took a little longer to prepare. The meat was very tender but personally I like it a little more cooked. Staff was very friendly. You must have a museum ticket to be able to access the restaurant (which is located on the second floor)

what a nice restaurant in the Orsay museum ( it is not possible to eat here without having a museum ticket), the service was impeccable and the food really good. The atmosphere and the Belle Epoque interior made me travel in time, truly recommend if you are visiting one of the most beautiful museums from Paris!

While the restaurant has a beautiful ambiance—especially for those who enjoy taking photos of the big clock at Musée d'Orsay—the food itself was quite average in taste. The pricing doesn't reflect the quality of the dishes

Easily one of the best dinners that we’ve had in years. Everything was perfect. The cucumbers were fresh and the mushroom dishes were to die for. Our friends recommended this place to us and we will be doing the same in the future. Make sure to get the beef and the chocolate mousse dishes.
Ed Grochowiak - 3 months ago
This place serves one of the best pork chops I have ever had, it's completely worth the trip to come down just for it. Think a thick slab of pork that is super flavourful and tender, the mashed potato is also superb. I'd pass on the chocolate mousse though, as it's a tad bit too rich for me (unless it's for a really big group of people).
Overall, I'll definitely be back here if I'm in Paris again! Do remember to make reservations or you might get turned away, their business is quite good and there aren't many tables available.

Cinq-Mars is a great spot for a well-executed lunch in Paris. I had the 3-course menu, and although it’s short and simple, everything was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The carrot velouté was smooth and comforting, followed by a seabass filet with house-made mash and caper cream — perfectly cooked, crispy skin, and light seasoning. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service kind and efficient. A solid stop if you’re looking for an elegant yet unpretentious lunch near the heart of the city.

Located in a quiet street behind the Musée d’Orsay, we found this intimate restaurant that offers good French cuisine. Between the four of us, we started with the asparagus, fried clams and fabulous oyster mushrooms. Our main courses were the cod fish (delicious) and well cooked lamb (a little overdone). The desserts were all excellent - especially the apple crumble! We decided on à la carte - but a tempting fixed price menu was available. Excellent wine list. The atmosphere was very agreeable and the service was friendly and efficient. With a fixed menu and careful wine choice, this would not be expensive for the area (but we pushed the boat out!). It was busy but we had reserved - possibly advisable at lunchtime.

Had two meals there and it's a perfect place for your Paris list. You can get the classics executed exceptionally well with good service in an otherwise tourist heavy environment.

Friends and I shared a delicious 3 course lunch in October. From the moment you enter and climb that beautiful stairway to the restaurant entrance, you know you are in for a treat! The food was delicious and beautifully plated, the service warm and attentive and the dining room is so inviting. I would definitely go back for another fine dining experience.

Absolutely Excellent, very friendly staff no issue with English or French. Quick service and flavours that will stay in your pallet for a long while after. We forgot our bag at the table and as soon as we realised we called them up and despite being minutes before closing we were met at the door with a smile and our bag! Couldn’t recommend more for some hearty food in the centre of paris

Friendly and warm hospitality from the owner. Good food for my folks who are vegetarian. We ordered palak paneer a second time. Ornate interiors. Cozy. Great location before going to the Musee d’Orsay.

The atmosphere was cozy, the service warm and friendly and the food was amazing, this lovely little restaurant was right across the street from the apartment we’re staying at so we decided to give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. We had the butter chicken, the chicken vindaloo, aloo ghobi, saffron rice and some stiff generously poured whiskey and cola.

We love this tiny gem of a restaurant and have been visiting it for years. The owner, Sudat, is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly and the cuisine is outstanding - it is consistently delicious Indian food. The Jingas Madras (shrimp) and the Murg Tikka Masala (Chicken) are our favorites. There is a reason Ravi has been in business for 40 years - it never disappoints.

Got a reservation for lunch pretty easily. They have amazing service and the waiters and waitresses are pretty attentive. Not a fan of escargot but we got the prefixe menu and everything else on it was amazing! The skate fish was particularly buttery and flaky. Also pretty good portions for a 3 course meal.

We had such a lovely evening there, celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were well taken care of, including the staff graciously accommodating those in our party who didn’t speak French, and any specific dietary requests. The portions are a bit small, but the flavours and quality were unassailable. Several of us had the Wagyu beef, and I will say it was by far the best I have had. The côté d’agneau was also proclaimed “the best” one diner had ever had. Will it be pricey? Yes. But I will venture to say that as long as you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

Beautifully located in an alleyway. With reservation I was seated in the back next to a table with people wearing shorts. Service tried to sell me additional servings and wasn't attentive. Seafood platter felt completely unseasoned and came significantly short of my expectations. As if taken from the sea and directly plated.
[Visited in June 2024, restaurant had one Michelin star at that time]

I went to this restaurant on May 29th. The food was good, considering the price and the portion size. The location was great, and I was lucky enough to have this opportunity to enjoy my dinner right in the Teksi strike zone, surrounded by police squad. It was probably the safest time to enjoy a dinner in Paris😂😂😂

Gâteau aux Poires
A base of pear slices in a cake pastry with walnuts and fresh cream.
5€
Food: 2/5 Fair. This particular cake was a bit tasteless with nothing exciting. Its slight dry texture did not help the experience.
Service: 5/5 Excellent. Polite and professional.
Ambience: 5/5 Excellent. The view of Sainte-Clotilde from the terrace is absolutely stunning. The place feels like a hidden secret.
Cleanliness: 5/5 Excellent. Not a spot of concern. Even the outdoor tables looked freshly wiped.
Value: 5/5 Excellent. A cup of tea or coffee is only 2€50, and a gâteau at 5€ which means a light snack for only 7€50.
Overall: 4.4/5 Very Good. I think I may have struck unlucky with this one pastry selection. I'm definitely going to revisit and try the popular cinnamon rolls. Perhaps next time I can rate the food better and raise the overall to Excellent.

The food was great and the it was very high in protein! We really enjoyed the fish and chicken. The only problem was that there were no vegetarian options. The wine was very good and we loved it! The staff were very nice and friendly!🙏🏻 Our waiter was Terry, he was very friendly and helped my daughter by cutting her bread when she needed help! The atmosphere was nice. It was in a great location and had very good seating options! This is a must go place in Paris if you like meat! You should definitely come here! 🙂

Superior service from the moment you walk through the door. They remembered my wife from her last visit in March instantly. Our food was exquisitely prepared, only to be matched by the wine pairings. A must visit when in Paris!

This is the best of Paris! Let’s start with the amazing staff - so warm and welcoming. We had a great conversation with our waiter (best of luck with your studies and travel!). They made us feel like we were in their home as guests.
On to the food…The grilled octopus salad was beyond amazing. Cooked perfectly and with such flavor. The chicken and polenta was so tender and the 7 hour cooked lamb was to die for. The portions were absolutely perfect. Dessert was a marvelous ending - Fraise Gariguette with fresh local strawberries, house made sorbet and cream and the Mille-feuille was so light and tasty. Simply perfection. Coffee and tea finished off a perfect evening. Did I mention the champagne?? Don’t forget to start with a glass!!
The atmosphere was equally outstanding. A modern, chic bistro that welcomes you with open arms and draws you in.
The prices are so reasonable. All the food is locally sourced so the menu is updated accordingly and always brings fresh to your table.
This is probably the best review I have left for a restaurant, and for good reason. The most outstanding aspect though was the staff. We felt like we had made new best friends before the evening ended.
Just book a table and go. You will not be disappointed. You may even see us there because we are definitely going back.
Thank you for making our anniversary so special in such a wonderful city. ❤️❤️

Based on other reviews, we expected the food to be of a higher standard. The Beetroot and Peach soup was OK, but nothing outstanding, the chicken in the Plat Poultry was likely pre-cooked and reheated, and the Abricot dessert was also disappointing. The Gravalax Salmon starter, Turbot with Carrot and Artichoke main, and Floating Island dessert were all was good.

Exclusive atmosphere without being stuffy. Attentive service strikes the fine balance between getting you what you need before you know you need it and being too in your face. Fantastic pacing for courses, def get a menu (3 courses). Every course is worth the calories. Oh, and the main dining room has AC.

You need a reservation. It was crowded. We had one and were given a table pretty fast. The sushi was fresh and has nice flavours. There were many types. Good variety. We also had sake which was good. A bit on the higher side in terms of pricing.

Decent sushi, not the best for sure (even other locations from Matsuri and had better quality for sushi), but works if you are craving some. The concept is nice though, and the design of the place is the most interesting part. All in all, a decent choice.

Fast and easy
If you feel like sushi, sometimes sushi train 🚂 is the right solution. The price is accordion the color of the plate
Pile them up and pay at the end
There is also a menu with other dishes
But I really like the concept of the train 😎
So if you’re looking for fast food and it’s not a McDonald’s day come here
+ they have few more locations

While on a business trip in Paris, I suddenly had to join an urgent online meeting at 10am.
The first café I entered turned me away, saying laptops weren’t allowed. Only 10 minutes left.
Then I stumbled upon this place—and it turned out to be perfect.
A cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, delicious coffee, and even the cutest little brownie!
But what truly made my day was the kindness of the staff working that morning.
She arranged a proper spot for me by moving tables together and even showed me where to charge my laptop.
Thanks to her, I made it through the meeting without a hitch. So grateful!

This is a very friendly neighborhood coffee shop run by locals who are very friendly and welcoming. I attended a language school next door and started my morning every day with delicious coffee and croissant, very fresh. Get there early, they always run out..
