#130 in my Michelin Challenge of trying every Michelin in Paris (done but some reviews to be published). Follow me for all the reviews and updates on every Michelin Stars in Paris and every 3 Stars in France.
The return of the prodigal son
What’s interesting here?
The trivia is that this restaurant in its previous location had up to 3 stars (it had 2 right before he closed before COVID). Hence the pricing and the crowd. I never went to the previous version and for a first time I took the lunch menu. I know, I’m cheap… 125€ lunch menu cheap. But the good news is that the wine list is full of good surprises. I didn’t take advantage of the it that day but I noticed some interesting bottles. The other nice touches is that the chef goes and greets every tables.
For the rest, I think I was still thinking of a two stars I was a few days before and I may not have been focused enough.
The service was nice, I saw some familiar faces from a palace. The crowd matches the district.
Deserves its star

Just a fantastic experience. Food, service and atmosphere are just perfect. Had the opportunity to exchange with Pascal Barbot on his cuisine and various dishes. Just exceptional.

Our third time here, and first in the new location.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the food is excellent, despite dropping to one Michelin star after reopening.
We had the lunch menu, with wine pairings. The dishes were plentiful and great, and the wine went perfectly with them.
As a bonus, we got to meet Pascal Barbot in the kitchen.

An excellent lunch at l'Astrance by chef @pascal_barbot in his new location, 32 Rue de Longchamp, the former restaurant Jamin, of late Chef Joel Robuchon. Beautifully presented dishes with nice hints of Asian cuisine (Korean salad wraps, rice, pickled radish). I left this lunch feeling healthier and ... Happy!
Marc-Elie Robert - 9 months ago
The meal started off really well with some nice amuse-bouches, and I'm particularly impressed with the dressed crab meat with thinly sliced cucumber layered on top beautifully.
However the dishes that came afterwards had no 'wow' factor at all. Everything was just ok. We went for the more expensive menu that consisted white alba truffles in two of the 8 course meal, yet these two dishes did not stand out at all:
1. Pasta with white truffle: tastes what you would expect but nothing else.
2. Farm chicken with truffle: also nothing special. Chicken is high quality and tender but doesn't pair particularly well with the truffle.
The desserts were a disaster, especially the burnt madeleines.
All other dishes were just average, if this wasn't a michelin-starred restaurant I'd give it a 8/10. But considering it's 3 starred and on the list of world's 50 best restaurant, it only deserves a 6/10.
The hospitality wasn't great either.

I had a fantastic solo meal at Cafe du Trocadero on a recent visit to Paris. I was at just inside beside the side patio tables and my view of the Eiffel Tower was perfect! Even better than the coveted front tables. The wine and food were delicious and service was really friendly the waitress made sure I was well taken care of. Great atmosphere to take in a bit of Paris with international accents and locals around you!

Was lucky to find space on the patio overlooking Eiffel Tower, on a rainy soggy day. Reached just minutes after 12 so it was lunch menu. Ordered a salad and grilled salmon. Good presentation, customer service and atmosphere is top notch. Great experience!

I dined at Café du Trocadéro and had a wonderful experience. Despite some negative reviews, I found myself unsure about the complaints. Yes, prices are slightly higher, but given the prime location by the Eiffel Tower, it's understandable. The meal was enjoyable, the customer service was impeccable, and overall, I thought the restaurant was great. I'd gladly dine there again in the future.

the location is good, but the coffee is cold, the dessert does not match what they offer. I ordered melfey, there should be caramel inside and cream on top. they brought melfeuille without caramel, the layer was filled with cream

Gabriela is the great definition of customer service. She exceeded all expectations, especially with craft beer suggestions. I trusted her 100% as my preference is IPA beer as well. The food was delicious. Thank you, Gabriela, for taking care of our needs!

The service was nice, they play the match of France we asked them in the TV and nice atmosphere to have some drinks. The food is avarage, the BBQ sauce had a very strong taste so difficult to get the flavor of the ribs. And the revolution burger was okeish, the salad inside the burger doesn't match too well and you don't get to appreciate much either the meat or the pulled pork.

A very cool bar right next to Trocadero, around ~10mins walk from the Arc de triomphe. Very suitable for tourists and expats as ALL employees speak English, with decent prices of drinks and food, both snacks and larger dishes. Beer pitchers (pichets in french) can be seen everywhere, so it's a real "feel good" place in the city of lights.

Always the best. I come here twice a week.
Delicious food, cold beer, nice ambiance, nice terrace. Recommend beer with wings or tenders and a nice burger👌🏼
PS: Best staff you can find!!

After a delightful time at the Eiffel Tower, strolling over to this spot for drinks and dinner was the perfect evening cap, but more importantly, it was all about the company! Just like any good bar, the vibes here were off the charts, and that's why I had to spill the beans about this gem. Not only were the prices wallet-friendly, but the waitstaff greeted us with mega smiles and super-friendly service. And let's not forget about the culinary wizardry happening in the kitchen! My dish arrived right on cue, and oh la la, it was a taste of Parisian perfection! With an experience this fantastic, I've found my go-to spot for fun and fabulous food. Consider this place highly recommended for your next Parisian escapade! Cheers to good times and great company!

This pizza is phenomenal. The sauce was absolutely delicious, the cheese was real and tasty, and the dough was just chewy enough but not undercooked. The tomato sauce was the star of this pie. Cheese pizza gets a 8.5/10. Best pizza I have had yet. I can not recommend it enough.

Nice and clean looking place. With a good selection of outdoor and dining facilities options.
The beef escallop was really great 👍🏼
My special gratitude to Mr. Sam. “Osama”
For his impressive performance in service.
The place is located in a wonderful view.
And the plate 🍽️ of food portions was real good and enough for two people.

I visited Paris in the summer and this was the first restaurant I tried after landing. The food was amazing and was a good first impression of French cuisine. I’m Mexican-American and our waiter spoke both English and Spanish and I was so happy when we were able to communicate with him easily and he was very friendly as well. I plan on coming back to Paris in a couple months and plan on eating here again.

Good place to eat close to Eiffel tower. I chose the vegetarian and my partner the tuna pizza. They were both tasty. Nice atmosphere, loved the music there. The waiter was also nice and food came fast.

At “La Brasserie Italienne” on Kléber in Paris, the pizza game is on point. Tried a unique one sans cheese, loaded with anchovies, tomatoes, and goodness – absolutely loved it. Kids enjoyed their classic fries and chicken. The drink choices were diverse and refreshing. A minor hiccup with the order occurred, but it didn’t overshadow the tasty experience. Despite the server blip, the variety in the menu, especially the four cheese pizza, added to the overall satisfaction. Solid spot for Italian flavors. The tuna pizza was the most unusually great pizza I ever eaten! Also it felt good to drink from actually soda glass bottles compared to the American trashy bottles or refills .

We found this place just walking along the street and I got a good feeling from the man outside inviting people to eat there. The service was very friendly, the food was yummy, and it had a nice ambience and decor. They had seating inside and outside. The food came pretty quickly. I had pizza and my husband got a burger. The burger was unique and delicious, and the pizza was very tasty. The sauce was yummy but if it was up to me, I would add more cheese. Also, I know it's common around here not to cut the pizza into slices for the customer but I wish they did haha. Anyway, overall we were pleased. With the burger & fries, pizza, and a couple drinks, it came out to about $87. Good for a nice dinner date.

Excellent customer service in a beautiful and cozy setting right on Kleber Avenue - one of Paris' main streets situated between the Arch and Eiffel Tower. Comfortable, friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The best pizza I tasted in Paris! I ended up going back multiple times. Can't wait to return again 🍕🍷!

Service Was Ok , they did not talk anything with me to ask but rushing it was one way convo. The cutlery was dirty as I told the waiter and he did not reply anything but just changed and pass me.I bought the Tonno Pizza it was good but overcook at the side burn can’t eat some portions! I was not told they are closing soon when I ordered and lucky I ate finished left with wine as they rushed ask people to leave.

When we visited Paris, we ended up staying in this neighborhood. While we were wandering around, searching for a place to have dinner, we stumbled upon this restaurant that immediately grabbed our attention. Choosing to eat there turned out to be the greatest decision we made. The food was incredibly delicious, the service was top-notch, and we absolutely adored the cozy atmosphere they had created.

Listen, my 4 stars are actually 3.5 if decimals were allowed.
I had high hopes about this place close to work so went there with a colleague after seeing the stellar reviews.
The service and the atmosphere were superb, that I cannot deny. The waiters were super nice and friendly which is very refreshing. The setting was very cozy.
For the food I was slightly disappointed:
1. Paté: Had no flavour at all unfortunately
2. Bone marrow: This dish was the best for me, you can’t go wrong with a the good old marrow once you salt it and pepper it
3. Shrimps flambé au Pastis: Too much cream and no real flavour on top. Had potential which it did not achieve.
4. Fish of the day which was a cod with a Beurre blanc sauce: The dish was OK, the fish was cooked well but there were no seasonings to be found on the fish, the beurre blanc was average (it is one of my favourite sauces so I am picky about beurre blanc)
Would I come back for another lunch? Maybe. Would I be as excited as the first time I decided to go? Probably not.

Nice family-owned restaurant with a friendly ambience. The food was great, we had onion soup which was delicous and escargot in pasta which were also very nice. The dessert cheese plate was a bit underwhelming - it had sliced cheese on it (among other much nicer cheeses) and came without any nuts / jams / fruits etc.
Overall highly recommend this place - very friendly staff!

We were seated and served very quickly. Food came out so fast, faster than our drinks order! Decor in the restaurant was amazing and live music was great. Service was a bit interesting... We were given the bill before we had even finished our first drink, no offer to have a second one. Seemed a bit odd. Food was great though so overall would recommend.

I have visited this place in September 2023 and I like the ravioli ricotta and spinach. I visited this again this New Year’s Eve, but I felt this time it was not as good as I had it before.. Pizzas are always good and also tried veg lasagna and it tastes okay. Also you can try the tiramisu, it’s really good.

Had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable - friendly and attentive. The food was simply outstanding. We tried their lasagna, margherita pizza, salmon bowl, and homemade fries - each dish was executed perfectly and packed with flavors. The ambiance, with its funky vibes, added a unique touch to our meal. A special mention to the bathrooms - their design was a delightful surprise, unlike anything I've seen before. Highly recommend this place for a great time and even better food!

Classic American diner style, their pastrami are insanely huge, that makes it perfect to split into two for Asian and other small eater. I usually eat a lot, much more than anyone, but maybe because I am also not feeling well, I literally only could finish half of it.

Thanks Google reviews for bringing us to this place it is a stone’s throw away from Trocadero.
We showed up at around 2pm on a Tuesday. The place was jumping. The staff welcomed us and promised we would be seated soon. Sure enough, they quickly gave us a table for six.
We were very lucky to be served by Bastien. Somehow he still had energy and enthusiasm for us. Our mouths watered just listening to him talk about the day’s specials. Excellent service.
One of the specials was the beef ribs. 36€ but a huge portion and melt in your mouth delicious.
The other special was smash burgers- we got two orders of that. We also got two regular burgers and a chicken burger. The beef burgers tasted like good meat. All the sandwiches had really good cheddar cheese.
The fries were ok, but not great. The salad was lovely.
The matzoh ball soup was delicious!
Very good experience.

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is the good service. Other than that, I would not even give anything. I am extremely disappointed at this place, I've been to many restaurants around the world, from street food to 3-Michelin restaurants. And I have to say this, the place does not even deserve the Michelin star it has. The food is tasteless, it is missing something. It's missing that honest passion from a humble yet experienced chef. The food is completely normal and I do NOT recommend this if it's your first time to a Michelin restaurant, because you'll be disappointed.

We enjoyed a great 🍽 Lunch at their terrace.
🍷Would certainly recommend their negroni and more than tasteful wines.
🍝In addition to that, try their pasta with lemon and cream or the pasta with artichokes. Absolutely great.
Located near the Eiffel Tower, we were pleasantly surprised to see locals, being well served by very friendly staff and had a great chat with the owner.
We’ll be back.

This is an Italian - French restaurant.
They have unique dishes that I have never seen in other restaurants before.
I had two vegetarian dishes:
1. Briskets with cheese, vegetables and fish
2. A bowl of steamed vegetables
Both were delicious. You might think that the steamed vegetables is just another dish but they have this Italian seasoning which turns them crispy and yummy.
For dessert I had a brioche, which was amazing!
The place is very clean and well maintained.
I strongly recommend trying the place
