This was an unforgettable experience. The small dining room allows for impeccable attention to detail with service and at no moment would you feel a need or want without it already being taken care of. I felt undeserving of the royal treatment. Certain dishes brought a tear to my eye. You can truly taste exactly how each vegetable is meant to taste, done to its utmost perfection. You can feel the love and care taken with the menu and dishes.

Pure, delicious and beautiful.
We had a lunch tasting meniu on a rainy Monday. It is a cosy atmospheric restaurant. Love the wall with all the flora and fauna.
Every dish was exceptionally well prepared, going back to the roots, pure. Salad and asperges in hay were our favourites.
The chef is very warm and charismatic person and once you meet him just for few minutes, you know he puts his heart and soul in his restaurant and dishes.
Thank you for the experience and wish many more years of succesful plant based culinary experience ❤️

I thought the restaurant was vegetarian but it became vegan at some point. I am neither vegetarian nor vegan but have been trying to eat less meat and more plant based so still game to try it. It did not disappoint. Food was seasonal and fresh. Unexpected and delicious. You’ll still need to bring your checkbook though. Worth it for the unique experience.

This was the first three-star Michelin restaurant I’ve dined at in continental Europe. Of course, it now features an all-vegetable menu, so it was a bit of a pity that I couldn't order any meat dishes à la carte.
High-end French restaurants often have many aspects that aren't very tourist-friendly, such as limited operating hours, being closed on many days, not opening for lunch, and refusing reservations for solo diners. That is exactly why I couldn't book Le Gabriel, another three-star restaurant I had my eye on; I could only apply for a waitlist with no guarantee of a spot. To play it safe, I had to choose a different restaurant.
However, Arpège is quite friendly in this regard—at the very least, they accept reservations for one. Plus, I could secure a booking just over a month in advance, unlike those Japanese restaurants where you have to book eons ahead or deal with bizarre 'regular customers only' rules.
Before arriving, I was actually a bit worried I wouldn't be full. I even looked up nearby restaurants that stay open late, planning to grab a late-night snack afterwards to fill up. But after the meal, I realized my worries were completely unnecessary. The different vegetables provided such varied stimulation to my taste buds that, for the first time, my brain felt a sense of fatigue just from eating vegetables. Usually, I only experience this sensation when eating rich, savory meat dishes, like a large steak or game meat.
Of course, the price for this vegetable menu was eye-watering—after all, most people spending this kind of money would expect a feast of meat and fish. However, it was still a truly unique experience. For a legendary chef of traditional French cuisine, who already held three stars, to step out of his comfort zone and completely transform his restaurant into a vegetable-focused one is an incredibly bold move. How many people truly possess that kind of vision?"

Food was good. Amazing that the master chef was able produce such a culinary experience with just vegetable. We were served by knowledgeable staff who made the correct recommendations for food and wine. In addition, we were fortunate to be invited into hid kitchen We were o meet the master chef in person following our meal. He kindly invited us into his kitchen, where we saw him in action and had the opportunity to speak with him. This allowed us to gain an understanding of his culinary concept and the techniques he uses to convey his ideas through his cooking.

A true hidden gem. The food alone is worthy of two Michelin stars. Do not miss the signature menu where each dish surpasses the next. The kitchen knows how to cook seafood without overdoing it. The oyster was sublime, capturing the briny flavor of the sea while being plump and delicious for each bite. The langoustine ravioli was savory and was surpassed by the monkfish and scallops. The cheese course was delicious but could have been skipped. The lychee sorbet and the way the chef incorporates impactful gelees to enhance each dish is a masterclass.

Had lunch at Restaurant Auguste, the one-star Michelin restaurant by chef Gaël Orieux. The restaurant currently holds one Michelin star, awarded for the precision and quality of its cuisine.
We tried the €47 lunch menu, with a chabli white wine and it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.
The place itself is calm and organized, with a quiet, elegant and smoked atmosphere that makes the meal feel relaxed rather than formal. With an intimate dining room, which creates a comfortable and intimate setting. The staff were lovely throughout the meal, attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without being overly formal.
The food was thoughtful and balanced. For the starter, the Morteau sausage with potato chantilly was rich and comforting, with the smoky flavor of the sausage softened by the light, creamy potato foam. The other option, the herb soup with escargots, had deep earthy flavors and a nice freshness from the herbs.
For the main course, the maigre fish with butternut and citrus extraction was beautifully cooked. The fish was delicate and flaky, and the citrus element added brightness that kept the dish light and balanced. It’s the kind of plate where each component feels intentional and well-measured.
Dessert was a roasted pear with malt and caramel, served with cocoa and foie jelly. It was an interesting combination sweet, slightly bitter, and layered with different textures. Not overly heavy, which was perfect after the meal.
Overall, this is a refined but approachable Michelin-star experience. The cooking is precise and ingredient-driven, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff make you feel well taken care of. A great option in Paris if you want excellent food in a calm, understated setting.
Definitely worth visiting. 🍽️
Booking highly recommended!

If you’re in Paris and looking for incredible value, this Michelin spot is a must! I went for lunch on a weekday and tried the menu, everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors are fantastic, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is just perfect. Honestly, everything was flawless. Can’t recommend it enough!

Auguste is one of the great Parisian restaurants. I don't know how many Michelin stars it has already, but it is destined for three. It was recommended to us by the Maitre at my wife's culinary school in Paris and I can see why - its creativity, techniques, flavours, flair and standards are something that any restaurateur and chef would be wise to try to emulate

We popped in around 9pm on a Wednesday and it was just us and the owner. He speaks excellent English, was very friendly, and the food was exquisite. I had the Duchess crepe and my wife had the Breton, both were served steaming hot with a scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream melting in the middle. These are next level crepes, not like what you get from street vendors, far superior. I also had the Cafe Liégeois, so very good. I would bet everything on the menu is delicious.

It was good Ceperie place but the service could be improved. The old gentleman who served us was quite impersonal which I thought was odd.

Stumbled upon this place before going to the Rodin Museum. 2 crepes, small salad, and 1/2 bottle of wine for 34 Euros. The buckwheat crepes were outstanding. The wine was good excellent although everyone else was having the cider. Would definitely recommend.

Gâteau aux Poires
A base of pear slices in a cake pastry with walnuts and fresh cream.
5€
Food: 2/5 Fair. This particular cake was a bit tasteless with nothing exciting. Its slight dry texture did not help the experience.
Service: 5/5 Excellent. Polite and professional.
Ambience: 5/5 Excellent. The view of Sainte-Clotilde from the terrace is absolutely stunning. The place feels like a hidden secret.
Cleanliness: 5/5 Excellent. Not a spot of concern. Even the outdoor tables looked freshly wiped.
Value: 5/5 Excellent. A cup of tea or coffee is only 2€50, and a gâteau at 5€ which means a light snack for only 7€50.
Overall: 4.4/5 Very Good. I think I may have struck unlucky with this one pastry selection. I'm definitely going to revisit and try the popular cinnamon rolls. Perhaps next time I can rate the food better and raise the overall to Excellent.

We had a quick lunch here, stopping by chance. We had two salads, which were flavorful and a good size each. A special mention for my warm goat cheese salad, so amazing! The server was very friendly and attentive despite the busy lunch hour.

Food is amazing, light and flavorful. Service is fast and gracious. The clientele was mostly non natives while we were here but it was peak tourist. I would not let that dissuade you from this restaurant at all. So good!

Nice place with friendly service but food is so so only.
Texture of the fish carpaccio was a bit soft. The beet and passion fruit sauces were also a bit of a strange pairing for me. The pickles were nice.
Some of the outer parts of the veal had been cooked until they were dry. A bit disappointing. Otherwise, the rest of it was soft and juicy. Taste wise not bad.
Caramel muffin with ice cream was a nice finisher.
Overall won’t be back and not worth my walk there.

The food was great and the it was very high in protein! We really enjoyed the fish and chicken. The only problem was that there were no vegetarian options. The wine was very good and we loved it! The staff were very nice and friendly!🙏🏻 Our waiter was Terry, he was very friendly and helped my daughter by cutting her bread when she needed help! The atmosphere was nice. It was in a great location and had very good seating options! This is a must go place in Paris if you like meat! You should definitely come here! 🙂

Le 122 was a recommendation from our son after a long term stay in Paris. My wife and I enjoyed the price fix menu and great bottle of wine. Our window seating and the seasonal decorations provided a special atmosphere for our celebration.

Superior service from the moment you walk through the door. They remembered my wife from her last visit in March instantly. Our food was exquisitely prepared, only to be matched by the wine pairings. A must visit when in Paris!

Based on other reviews, we expected the food to be of a higher standard. The Beetroot and Peach soup was OK, but nothing outstanding, the chicken in the Plat Poultry was likely pre-cooked and reheated, and the Abricot dessert was also disappointing. The Gravalax Salmon starter, Turbot with Carrot and Artichoke main, and Floating Island dessert were all was good.

It's the best of the best in the staff restaurant world!

The staff were friendly. However, the choice was limited, very limited for people on a meat-free diet, for example. They were offered a choice of fish and a pre-defined vegetable side dish. French fries were not available year-round, as these were reserved exclusively for grilled dishes.
A self-service system for side dishes would be welcome, allowing customers to customize their plates as they wished.
The vegetarian dishes and desserts, on the other hand, were generally very well prepared. However, allergens and ingredients used in processed foods (sauces, soups, desserts, appetizers) were not mentioned anywhere.

As I strolled past the newly unveiled restaurant situated just across from my hotel, curiosity pulled me inside.
To my delight, I was welcomed by the owner who happened to be a single woman, an empowered woman! 🙌🏼
Everything on the menu looked yummy, but I opted for the stewed beef with white rice, my order arrived quickly, revealing a culinary masterpiece. The meat, exquisitely tender and flavorful, paired harmoniously with the fresh and delectable bed of rice.
It was a delightful experience, marked not only by the scrumptious flavors but also by the empowering presence of a friendly staff.
I urge you to give this place a try and support a small business.
