I been there for lunch so they have live music what was nice and a buffet, the buffet is nothing special but have options for vegetarians, but I ask for a la cart gnocchi with mushrooms sauce what was good just a bit salt to my taste , to drink I ask for the Mate with ginger foam what was the most nice mate of the trip I really recommend that !

The buffet usually offers a selection of very sophisticated foods. Always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is great. The sevice is friendly and prices are steep.

I got the yakisoba chicken noodles which were good and a good portion! If I were to change anything, I would have wanted more seasoning/flavor on the chicken. Prices were fine & ambience was so lovely, especially at night when we went. It is an alongside a whole street of restaurants so theee is so much activity going on, especially during futbol games.

I thought this place was amazing due to the reviews. But no. We ordered the Kevin Bacon Burger (apparently an award winning burger). Let’s start with the bacon: impossible to eat. Chewing. How can a burger be called Kevin Bacon with a very bad bacon? They only serve Heineken.
E M - 5 months ago
Fantastic service! As for food, I tried the Kevin Bacon burger with Caesar Salad on the side. The burguer was quite tasty, albeit very dry (which is probably why they serve you their special sauce). The salad was great, with powerful sauce and lots of cheese. Really nice experience overall!

My mistake I ordered the onion rings thinking they were made in-house, especially since they were priced twice as much as the fries, but it turned out they were frozen McCain rings. The burger was good, but not great.

Quite possibly in my top 3 ever burger experiences and I've had my fair share! The brownie wasn't like the picture but hey, we came for burgers and the picanha burger was 10/10

Tuesday night, 2100hrs... only people in the restaurant. The food was OK, I had hoped it would have been better. We had an original and Kevin Bacon...with a side of soggy 🍟

Cool place, with a good variety of beer.
Good burgers, but if I could I would ask more rare. Too much cooked for me.
Better ask for a table inside the bar.

The place is fancy and cozy! Nice Bar, two floors and outdoors area with huge screen, perfect for watching sport matches. The drinks, beers, and foods are really tasty and served. The homemade tea and BBq ribs are amazing. Its clean and has restrooms for customers. Prices are fair but it's not cheap (good cost-benefit). Service is ok.

Decentish beer, really bad salmon, but good local dishes. I went here a few times, but I recommend staying away because of the high prices and the terrible service. They aired the super bowl final, but kicked everyone out and shut off the tv 10 min before the end of the game. That's sacrilege. Great way to piss off customers. They don't deserve your patronage, so go to any other bar in the same street.

A nice bar/restaurant, good beers on tap, their Picanha is very good. My wife had a few questions about their menu and they were very friendly in answering them. It's usually very crowded at night so arrive early.

Service is on the slow side - waited at the entrance....in the end I seated myself.
Ordered the morrocan to drink which was high on sugar and low on mint. Would have been better the other way round or at the very least more mint.
The esifra was semi warm and tasted OK.
The "Burj Khalifa" - raw kibbeh accompanied with crisp flatbread was outstanding! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

May be it was a typical day. But, the food served was not that great we ordered Kibe which was OK, Escondido do cordeiro was good but, chewed a bone in a dish which is suppose to be meat, the chicken mini kaftas were chewy and dry like they were overcooked. We ordered iced tea with Sicilian lime and mint flavour was nice but, very sweet ( Tell your server in advance if you don't like your iced tea too sweet). Nice selection of beers. The service was fast and efficient but, not a great food in Arabic culinary.

Reviews
The Depánneur is a really nice Delicatessen in the heart of Botafogo, on the long stretched main square of Botafogo, at Botafogo Metro Station, on Rua Nelson Mandela.
Botafogo turned out to be the neighborhood in Rio, where I use to stay most of the time, since in contrast to many other areas in Rio the district of Botafogo is relatively safe day and night and there are many bars and restaurants in this small neighborhood as well.
It’s hard to describe, but though there are many tourists in Botafogo, in contrast to Copacabana for instance the Botafogo neighborhood just has a cosy feel to me and it’s ideally located in the geographic center of most of the tourist attractions, between the Christ Statue and Pão de Açúcar on the one hand and on the other hand the Centro of Rio and Leblon/Ipanema and Maracana and Quinta da Boa Vista, the Palace of the Monarch Pedro II just some subway stops away. Even the Jardim Botanico (Botanical Gardens) and the Parque Lage is only a short bus ride away from the transport hub Botafogo.
So Le Dépanneur offers many pastries and a sun terrace to enjoy your time here at Botafogo’s main square. The staff is friendly and willing to help you. You choose your pastry presented on a huge plate, and then you enjoy your choice together with a coffee or the like in this nice Delicatessen at Nelson Mandela or Botafogo square so to speak.
From Rio with Love!

It's a fancy and cozy Delicatessen! Indoors and outdoors areas, covered for rainy days, clean and pretty. The areas are clean confortable. Tasty food, a lot of options and healthy. Sandwiches, breads and pasta dishes. The "Green Juice" is really nice. The service is good, indeed, you can take your stuff to go. Quality is amazing fair but high prices. Perfect atmosphere for coffee break on Sundays or light meal at night with friends and family.

I really do not understand why this place is always busy. Overpriced for low quality. The service is good but does not make up for the average food…

It's true that it gets crowded at lunch time, but they have four people working simultaneously and the line moves fast. The air conditioning keeps the place fresh even when it's Rio-hot outside. The thing I didn't like was that they were kinda cheap on the filling (mine had barely any lettuce at all). They also have a no-refill policy on drinks. Other than that, is a nice place to have a quick lunch; just like any other subway.

Very good burguer. Many options to choose from and the house blend beef is awesome. There is no easy parking and the store is small, with few seats, but it's not too bad and the food is worth it. The staff was polite friendly.

Tasty burger, bun and fries. Served hot!
Amyn M - 2 years ago
Burgers are exquisite! They are perfectly seasoned and there is a great texture. Comparing to other gourmet burgers, their price is well adjusted. Depending on the time there might be long lines to order and as they are not done ahead, once you’ve ordered, it takes long to be ready, so enjoy a beer while you wait. They have a great range of options, but I end up always getting Heinekens.
Bruno Dirksen Orlandi - 7 years ago
I used to go there very often when they opened back in 2015-2016. The hamburger used to be great!!!. We moved out of Rio, and we came back for Holidays. I was looking forward to enjoy it again I took my family there telling them this would be a great meal, what a terrible surprise, I should stayed with the good memories.
Meat was extremely undercooked (is a very greasy piece of meat, so, imagine chewing that!!). Left most of it. Bread was not a shadow of what used to be.
Service was slow, eventhough we were the only table.
They get 2 stars due to thr fries and sauces, but what a shame for the hamburger. Very sad to see a small, local business not able to keep its own standard
Agustin Ramos - 6 years ago
Cool burger joint to enjoy rib based burgers. To me the signature fries are the stars. Combined with the decent and just prices on the vast selection of Brooklyn ales and the Heineken, makes it a wonder land to break for lunch. At any time of the day. Or night :)

Had drinks here. Well located, good value. Waiting staff was plentiful for the amount of customers, but they were not paying attention. They have a few TV's hanging outside mostly showing sports.
Arjen K. - 9 years ago
Typical Brazilian food, middle-class style. The dishes are well served, you can easily feed two people with a half-dish - meia porção. The beer comes cold, the food tastes really good and the waiters exceptionaly diligent, given the Rio de Janeiro standard. All this really cheap. I recommend this to those planning on keeping a low budget with the Rio World Cup and Olympic Games-induced soaring prices.

Escape those hot muddy days by grabbing a seat in the air-conditioned part or the restaurant. Good place to have lunch at a reasonable price and also a nice place to enjoy the happy hour.
