Good food, plenty of options. You need to go early as it gets very crowded and there will be long lines everywhere.

Nice experience there this day. It is a restaurant where you pay the weight of what you eat.

Oldest cafe in the city. The staff are very nice from the security in the front to the ladies behind the counter. The sweets are also good. Not as popular as the nearby colombo, but definitely worth visiting for someone with a sweet tooth.

In Centro Rio, offers Portuguese food/snacks. I ordered a NATIONAL beer, expecting a Brazilian beer like Brahma, to my surprise the waitress brought me a very cold Super Bock and a very cold glass. Very good food, service in a very cozy setting. Like many places in Centro, they close at 6:00 p.m.

One of the most historic places in the Dowtown area of Rio de Janeiro. Locals enjoy a sumptous breakfast at this eatery. It is the perfect place for a quick lunch or afternoon coffee or tea served with sweet and savory pastries made from recipes dating from 1860.

You get the true decadent setting with still good confiterie in this place. I would go back everyday. Go for the room in the back and ask for the argolas douradas and the pastel de nata if you are into the portuguese style egg yolk and sugar based sweets. The coffee could improve and that's why it is a 4 and not a 5.
The most noble room is in the corner of the street. If it is too full turn left coming out, enter the first door and go to the end of the long corridor with all the pastries.

I used to be there with my mom every time she decides to go downtown when I was little and then when I grow up. The place used to be amazing, with fresh sweets and little appetizers. I had lunch with my sisters and the taste of cod fish cakes wasn't there anymore, even pieces of potato were present. The executive lunch was a nice steak but had too much fat around. I had an eclair with dry cream. I was very disappointed.

Went here twice. Tasty sandwich & panini options. The pineapple & mint juice was so good. Only the orange juice was tasteless. I’d recommend!

The snack is delicious, in addition to the super tasty sweets. And they have a Combo that has a snack and delicious cashew juice.
They serve lunch too.
What was wrong was the very poor service, it seems that the attendants were in poor condition. I highly recommend it.

The prices are good and I like the food, but not everything is tasty and well made and the service sometimes leaves something to be desired. In any case, the area nearby is a good option for food.

This place is nothing special, but the quality of their snacks are very good. In comparison to the competition, they are better than the rest.

Excellent value for money. I got a PF (rice, beans, fries, salad and farofa) with omelet. The food is simple but of good quality. The dish is very well served and the price is great (R$20.90). In my case, I even had leftover food and brought it home. The attendant Rafaela is super attentive and proactive.

Nice warm empanadas to indulge on after walking in the center. I think the empanadas could have been filled with more meat, and perhaps more seasoning. The dough was nice and crumbly. I also liked that they were served still hot in the inside.

Dona empada is simply divine, it’s so wonderful!! 🤩 The best pie in Rio de Janeiro. My wife always eats the frag oven pastry with olives, which is also delicious. But there has been almost no olives.

The best shrimp pie! A delight. Because of her, we forget the amateur service and the tightness of the store lol.
Ricardo Nasser - 8 months ago
Good morning. I would like to suggest that they work with home deliveries, join iFood or something that allows deliveries that are not just within the proximity of the store, since the same (stores), which exist, are in well-located points, it would facilitate movement and consequently The sales. The pies are wonderful!

Yummy Brasilian version of McDonalds. Hundreds of locations in Brasil, including this one in Carioca Square near the Carioca metro station. Shakes are very thick, like soft icecream really, I recommend the Nutella version! Limited seating but have an upstairs area. Have express machines to order directly through rather than going to the cashier, much faster. Also have a separate shakes / sundae serving area so don't have to line up in the food area. Quick service & great for after movie snack.
