There are three buffets on this block. This one is the most expensive but by FAR the best food. Great Fish dishes, churrasca, fresh hummus and Tzatziki. I was missing all my mediterranean salads until I found this place. They also often have a good cevice. :)

Good food, plenty of options. You need to go early as it gets very crowded and there will be long lines everywhere.

Nice experience there this day. It is a restaurant where you pay the weight of what you eat.
I recommend, fresh food and nice service.

Adorei a experiência...

RECOMENDO

Old and historical cafe / bakery in the heart of old Rio. The place definitely looks the part. The pastries are quite unique. They are very sweet and decadent, I suggest you split them between two people because they are quite big and very sweet. They pair very well with the coffee.
When you walk in, you will get a card from the doorman. Then you can either take a seat on the tables and be served by a waiter or go to the pastry counter and order there. I suggest look at the pastries in the counter first so you get an idea of what pastries you'd like them order them on the table.

Cute little cafe. Apparently the oldest one in the city. Wouldn't say it's cheap ans when I went I was caught short as there was no toilet roll. Wish I'd checked before. Thankfully I managed to waddle out and get some hand paper towels before nipping back into the cubicle and sorting myself out.
Lots of cakes and treats on offer. Didn't see the full menu as only went in for a coffee and a dump.

Order the coxinha de galinha (chicken drumstick) even if they try to tell you that it is quite ‘large’. It was fresh, juicy chicken and much better than the coxinha chicken with cream cheese where they shred the chicken.

Very good cafe. Baked products are very nicely balanced. Not to sweet. Coffee is good. Not extremely busy

Lovely old cafe bakery with numerous DELICIOUS savory (ex. empanada) and sweet (ex. eclairs) baked goods. All reasonably priced and high quality. You get a card when you enter and then select your baked goods (show them your card) and take them to your table, where a server will come for your drink order (and associate the charge with your card). Upon finishing, you take your card to the cashier where you pay for all your purchased items. If you "lose" your card (you must show it to exit), you pay a significantly higher penalty fee as they don't know what all you may have consumed. Bathrooms are upstairs and small. Overall a great experience and a nice establishment - a must for baked good lovers!

This meal hit the spot, we ordered the hummus, executivo arabe plate, and kibe de carne and it was all delicious. They don’t speak much English but the waiter was extremely helpful and provided top tier service. The restaurant is also fully air conditioned which was a lovely escape from the Rio heat! Would definitely recommend as a break from Brazilian food on your trip.

Comida a quilo, R$ 67,90 o quilo.

Boa noite/Bom dia/Boa tarde!

This place is nothing special, but the quality of their snacks are very good. In comparison to the competition, they are better than the rest.
Christopher Suttenfield - 9 years ago

A great snack, their chicken, Calabrian sauce, and stroganoff are very tasty and filling.
The prices are very reasonable, the dishes are served quickly, and it's just two minutes from the metro.

Aceitam Ticket Restaurante.

Nice warm empanadas to indulge on after walking in the center. I think the empanadas could have been filled with more meat, and perhaps more seasoning. The dough was nice and crumbly. I also liked that they were served still hot in the inside.
