5 Star Rating Frederick’s is the perfect spot for a date night. The decor is elegant, and the vibe is warm and intimate. We had the scallops to start—beautifully cooked. The chateaubriand was my favorite, and it was very perfectly done. The sweet potato fondant as a side was a great addition. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

5 Star Rating We headed to Frederick’s for a dinner with friends after seeing all the rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! Conveniently located near Angel station, it’s super easy to get to. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the standout for us was definitely the Welsh lamb chops—so tender and packed with flavor. The fresh and crisp vegetable salad was also a hit. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was top-notch. I can’t recommend this gem of a restaurant enough to anyone in London!

5 Star Rating For our anniversary dinner, we went to Frederick’s near Angel on a friend’s recommendation, and it was such a great choice! The sign at the entrance said ‘family-run since 1969,’ so you know this place has some history. The vibe inside is amazing, almost like walking through an art gallery. There’s even a big garden in the back, and with the romantic lighting at night, it’s the perfect date spot. I loved the Salt & Pepper Squid starter, especially with the sweet chili sauce—it was so good! The Chargrilled Veal Rump was super tender and packed with flavor too. And the service? So attentive and thoughtful. All in all, it was the perfect dinner at Frederick’s, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

2 Star Rating Definitely not worth the money. The food here is overpriced, especially considering the quality of the main courses. The starters were actually quite tasty, but the mains were a big letdown. Both the beef and the fish didn’t seem fresh, and the ingredients didn’t feel like they were of good quality. On top of that, the restroom was disgusting. It was filthy, and to make matters worse, someone had smeared phlegm on the toilet seat. For the prices they’re charging, you’d expect much higher standards. I won’t be coming back. And they do Not accept Amex :(

5 Star Rating Came to this restaurant with friends for a gathering. It feels like it has been operating for a long time and is a traditional British restaurant. The location is fairly easy to find. What I like the most is the environment—it is very beautiful. The backyard is a forest, and we even saw someone hosting a birthday party there. We ordered salads and salmon as appetizers; they were cold dishes with a slightly sour taste. For the main course, we had steak that was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. The dessert was a classic called Eton Mess. Overall, I am quite satisfied. Considering the environment, it offers good value for money.

5 Star Rating Lovely pub, for a drink but this time we ate and the food was outstanding. We went for Sunday lunch and between three us us managed to try the beef, chicken and pork. All the meats were very nicely cooked, and a generous portion (especially the beef) and came with amazing Yorkshire puddings and lots of veg. Extra gravy and puddings available on request and included in the price I think! Brilliant.

5 Star Rating I was there during Monday afternoon, so fairly quiet. They have an amazing roof top garden. Staff were very friendly. I bet this is a great pub in the evening. I left still early evening. Loads of tables had reserved signs for later on. So I think the atmosphere must be good. So my lower score for atmosphere I’m sure would change in the evening.

4 Star Rating I was tempted to give the food a 4 because of the limited vegan options. But that wouldn’t be fair as it’s not a vegan restaurant and there are sufficient options. Besides the taste and quality is excellent as well as super filling. This was my first time and the staff were great at explaining the process and options. It is fun and reassuring to watch them prepare your meal and be asked what you want included; an anxious vegans’ dream. The decor is super colourful and fun. My only critique of the atmosphere was the music was really loud; which was a little much during the day while the restaurant wasn’t full. Great Latin vibe though. A fantastic experience and I will come again.

I live in soho with a chilango nearby but I travel all this distance to the angel chilango just for the amazing team they have and the service they provide me EVERY TIME. 5 Star Rating Okay first off!!! Let me just start by saying the food is absolutely delicious and so fresh. I can eat healthy but have the food genuinely taste amazing what a dream come true. Secondly the team are so sweet :,)… I’m not sure which team member was working on wednesday evening - but I made an online order mentioning my birthday in the comments and they left me such a sweet sweet note I wish I could thank them :(. Not only will I be returning for the food, but 100% for the lovely customer service too. #chilangoalltheway

2 Star Rating Despite being a proud Mexican eatery no one speaks Spanish. I ordered the vegetarian burrito. They only had few scraps of the vegetables. The girl said she would give me extra guacamole to compensate. The burrito ended up being really full. I suspected it was going to be a nightmare to eat it as it was, also given the fact that they only wanted to give me, initially, a small napkin. So I asked the girl if she could cut the burrito in half. She said they're not allowed because of "cross contamination". I didn't understand the relationship between my question and her answer... I said: "you can use a clean knife and there won't be any cross contamination". Still she said they're not allowed. It was a very frustrating first experience at this restaurant. The reguetón music doesn't help either. The positives: the girl was very friendly and despite everything she tried to help. The burrito was really good, big and cheap. Nice decoration.

5 Star Rating An outstanding experience here! Affordable & high quality sushi in London is a misnomer. Or atleast, I thought it was until I came to SASA. I was blown away by the impeccable service, delicious fish, and fantastic ambiance. Wish I’d discovered this gem sooner! The rainbow roll was terrific. I’d love to try the melted tuna/salmon roll next time.

5 Star Rating Exceptional. We had an incredible meal here - every single dish completely wowed us. Having come back from Japan recently we were missing some high quality Japanese food and this definitely hit the mark. I recommend trying everything! What made us truly fall in love with it was its story - it’s a small, family-run restaurant that has been there for 18 years. Recently the son and his girlfriend redid the whole interior and it looks amazing. All the waitstaff are really friendly/accommodating and it has that cozy family vibe but with an upscale menu. Super warm atmosphere - highly recommend for dates and family meals! Really couldn’t recommend this place enough! We feel it’s an undiscovered gem and will be back often!

4 Star Rating I’m mixed - I ordered the seared nigiri - nigiri and maki themselves were very well done. I’d highly recommend - especially the seared salmons pieces. The only thing that drags down the rating for me was the soy sauce - it was a heavily salted soy sauce and once you dip your sushi in there is zero chance you could taste anything else. Wasabi also a tad bit of a disappointment to an otherwise very worth going sushi place.

4 Star Rating Always love a tortilla burrito, the beef is delicious and worth the extra £. Went after seeing their £2.50 happy hour 5-8pm every day (I think just for summer tho). Generous frozen marg, delicious burrito. Service was average, the woman/manager who served us was clearly hating life. Felt sorry for the trainee girl with her (who made us 2 great burritos with supervision!) as didn’t seem like a particularly positive working environment, but who knows. FYI the happy hour is only when you buy food with it. And sign up to their newsletter for a free burrito on your birthday!

Menu keeps evolving to meet every budget and the range of products means there is something for everyone at any time of day! I personally love the great value drinks (gives pricier merchants a run for their money any time!) and sandwiches , which I somehow manage to add to all my orders! The points scheme is also fabulous and those points quickly add up to genuine freebies from the menu - but please add the option to buy a larger or sandwich with points 🙏

4 Star Rating I like this ‘tardis’ Starbucks, it’s one of my local Starbucks. It has a stimulating atmosphere and upstairs there are a lot of seats and space and people sit there for a long time. There are lots of plug sockets upstairs if you want to plug in your laptop or charge your phone. The staff are pleasant and cheerful. There are more comfortable seats upstairs than downstairs and they have a few seats outside if you want some fresh air. It is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The only snag is that you need to watch the step upstairs, I’ve been caught outside a few times. Also, watch the stairs because they are very steep, I’ve seen a young lady fall down those stairs. There are toilets upstairs but you will need a combination to use them.
