5 Star Rating Frederick’s is such a lovely spot near Angel’s antique market. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with lots of greenery and a relaxed vibe. We tried the Angus beef tartare, which was super fresh, and the chargrilled lamb neck, which was so tender and full of flavor. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. The service was friendly, and the cocktails were great too. It’s a perfect place for a date night or a nice dinner with friends. Definitely coming back!

5 Star Rating I went here with my family for a Sunday Roast after we saw there was new management. The roasts were delicious and of a proper size! There were even vegan and vegetarian roast options which did not hold back- the roast parsnip was a personal favourite. The bar staff were super friendly and helpful with our young child, and the building had obviously just had a refresh as it was decorated tastefully with flowers on the tables. Would definitely return!

5 Star Rating I recently celebrated my birthday at The Castle, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the day special. A huge thank you to Reece, Mel and Otto —each of them was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Their friendly and professional service really stood out, and they helped make the celebration feel extra special. The food and drinks were fantastic, with a great selection and everything served to perfection. The team was also very accommodating, allowing us to bring our own cake and bubbles, which was much appreciated. We spent our time on the terrace, and the atmosphere up there was just lovely—relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for a celebration. Overall, I can't recommend The Castle enough! Thank you for making my birthday such a memorable one. I'll definitely be back soon!

5 Star Rating Lovely pub, for a drink but this time we ate and the food was outstanding. We went for Sunday lunch and between three us us managed to try the beef, chicken and pork. All the meats were very nicely cooked, and a generous portion (especially the beef) and came with amazing Yorkshire puddings and lots of veg. Extra gravy and puddings available on request and included in the price I think! Brilliant.

5 Star Rating I was there during Monday afternoon, so fairly quiet. They have an amazing roof top garden. Staff were very friendly. I bet this is a great pub in the evening. I left still early evening. Loads of tables had reserved signs for later on. So I think the atmosphere must be good. So my lower score for atmosphere I’m sure would change in the evening.

4 Star Rating I was tempted to give the food a 4 because of the limited vegan options. But that wouldn’t be fair as it’s not a vegan restaurant and there are sufficient options. Besides the taste and quality is excellent as well as super filling. This was my first time and the staff were great at explaining the process and options. It is fun and reassuring to watch them prepare your meal and be asked what you want included; an anxious vegans’ dream. The decor is super colourful and fun. My only critique of the atmosphere was the music was really loud; which was a little much during the day while the restaurant wasn’t full. Great Latin vibe though. A fantastic experience and I will come again.

5 Star Rating The only downside of this restaurant is that I can only leave one 5 star review—every time I come, I feel like writing them a new one. Delicious food, super super kind service, no extra service charge, and perfect for late-night eats after a show! I’m a dancer, and after long days of training or watching performances at Sadler’s Wells, I often end up absolutely starving—and this place has become my go-to spot. It’s open late, the food is incredible, and the prices are very reasonable. The first time I came here, it was after a show and I was SO hungry. The food was so good I ended up ordering three bowls of rice—and yes, I finished them all. My friend and I both cleaned our plates and left in such a good mood. It was exactly what we needed. A huge thank you to Tommy, who gave us the best service. He was super patient and explained the dishes so well. The second time I came back, he actually remembered me! Usually the dish I order comes with rice and toppings in the same bowl, but this time he thoughtfully served them separately. He said that way I could have more rice and more sauce. He even told his colleague to give me extra rice—and the bowl came out so full it looked like it could barely hold it all. That little gesture really made my night. So sweet and so considerate! I finished everything again the second time—it’s just that good. Can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you’re coming from Sadler’s. It’s the perfect spot to end the night with a happy stomach.

4 Star Rating First experience with this chain and mostly positive. Good menu selection and food delivered matched up....and tastey. Good portion of pad Thai. Banana fritter dessert pretty good. Initially served by manager who was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the other staff were less professional, asked to drop optional service charge at checkout, and was questioned why and then had the two male staff muttering to each other. Sorry chaps you need to learn manners before expecting a tip....for nothing. Would try the chain again but watch out for large service charge added onto your bill!.....Tip staff directly.

3 Star Rating Came here for dinner after seeing good reviews for a thai place, chicken dumplins starter was lovely, for main I got the beef rendang curry flavours were great however dish was served more warm than hot and towards the end the whole dish was cold and im quite a quick eater, service was abit annoying there were two servers and it was quiet they both kept coming over and asking the same question as the other, recieved the bill, paid cash and the waitress just said thank you and didnt bring over the change, I just let it go as it was around £3 but after paying a 12.5% service charge she should of gave me change and let me decide what to do with it instead of just keeping it Would visit a bananatree again just probably not this one

The food was delicious, although with a little less rice and a little more sauce our main course would have been perfect. 5 Star Rating My first time here and really enjoyed both the food and the service. They guided me through the burrito building choices very nicely, and made very clear the parts which cost extra and the parts which are included, so all in all very happy. Can't believe I haven't been coming here all this time. (I plan to add a photo soon.) And the aesthetic on top is pretty dang cool, so extra points.

2 Star Rating I ordered through the Too Good To Go platform and, theoretically, this bowl is supposed to be worth £13, the food doesn't even fill half the bowl. I don't know about others, but I wouldn't pay that price for what was essentially 90% rice and beans with sauce. This is what they consider a “£13 vegetarian option”

5 Star Rating Update: been a regular customer at this store for almost a year. Never felt disappointed. The drinks have been consistent and the services are excellent. All the staff have been providing 6 stars services and complying to Starbuck’s standards. They are so attentive that they remember what is my latest order. So impressive 😍 Also, I have seen them so many times doing excellent and attentive services to every of their customers and they treat all the customers equally. They even ask how much milk the customers want in their teas, americano. Furthermore, when it was just a little splash of lemonade short, they walked to grab a new carton, so all the drinks are consistent and right to the recipe and standard. Perfect drinks, good customer services. All the staff here have expertise in making good coffee and meticulously make coffee tailored to my preference. Also, they are more than willing to listen to your request and have a great common sense and problem solving skills. The manager is humble and has a fantastic service mind. Once he asked me how my drink was, I felt like this store was specialty coffee shop. Never disappointed with their services

Menu keeps evolving to meet every budget and the range of products means there is something for everyone at any time of day! I personally love the great value drinks (gives pricier merchants a run for their money any time!) and sandwiches , which I somehow manage to add to all my orders! The points scheme is also fabulous and those points quickly add up to genuine freebies from the menu - but please add the option to buy a larger or sandwich with points 🙏

5 Star Rating Stumbled across The Angelic today and what a great find. We really fancied a roast but hadn’t booked anywhere and it was delicious. Great value for money, especially for Angel, big portions and super tasty - didn’t take pics of the dessert as we devoured so rapid but the brownie was 10/10. The only tiny downside was not being told things that weren’t available when we sat down, but that’s just because we got our hopes up about the crab tacos, as it’s a fab menu. We had the haddock croquettes instead and our daughter wants to go back to have them again! Very family friendly, shows footy and peng food. Will be going back for sure.
