5 Star Rating Received a £100 voucher with our new home in the area..what a fantastic surprise we had for lunch! What a nice place, big open and airy dining room. A good breadth of different cuisines and options from wine and starters all the way through to deserts. It’s not the most creative or daring menu but it’s an excellent option where anyone would be able to find something they like on the menu. We had: Courgette flower - 7/10 (salad need more texture/dressing) Scallops - 7/10 (cauliflower rice is not a good pairing, makes the whole thing a little cold and watery but other accompaniments were tasty) Monkfish - 7/10 (needs some kind of butter sauce/hollandaise-type thing. Was a little lacking in warmth and fattiness for a rounded dish) Duck - 8/10(our favourite savoury dish, good variation of textures. Just could do with a little more of the jus and could have been a little warmer) Tiramisu - 9/10 Banana cheesecake - 10/10 (favourite overall dish, texture, flavour..all spot on !!) As you can see most dishes were well above average but this place for me wasn’t one of those restaurants that’s all about the food. As an experience it was lovely. Hacin and Jason served us and had absolutely impeccable timing and manor about them. Smiled, poured drinks at the right time, took plates at the right time and gave great recommendations. I hope the management here are proud and look after their staff as they were all lovely, warm and welcoming. A professional, warm and relaxed feeling vibe to this one I will hopefully revisit.

5 Star Rating We headed to Frederick’s for a dinner with friends after seeing all the rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! Conveniently located near Angel station, it’s super easy to get to. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the standout for us was definitely the Welsh lamb chops—so tender and packed with flavor. The fresh and crisp vegetable salad was also a hit. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was top-notch. I can’t recommend this gem of a restaurant enough to anyone in London!

5 Star Rating I went here with my family for a Sunday Roast after we saw there was new management. The roasts were delicious and of a proper size! There were even vegan and vegetarian roast options which did not hold back- the roast parsnip was a personal favourite. The bar staff were super friendly and helpful with our young child, and the building had obviously just had a refresh as it was decorated tastefully with flowers on the tables. Would definitely return!

4 Star Rating I was tempted to give the food a 4 because of the limited vegan options. But that wouldn’t be fair as it’s not a vegan restaurant and there are sufficient options. Besides the taste and quality is excellent as well as super filling. This was my first time and the staff were great at explaining the process and options. It is fun and reassuring to watch them prepare your meal and be asked what you want included; an anxious vegans’ dream. The decor is super colourful and fun. My only critique of the atmosphere was the music was really loud; which was a little much during the day while the restaurant wasn’t full. Great Latin vibe though. A fantastic experience and I will come again.

5 Star Rating Really enjoyed my lunch here! Firstly, the service was great and efficient. Secondly, the food was amazing. I had the Myddelton Bento with Hojicha! The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and I loved the rock shrimp tempura! The tea was comforting and I like the design of the teapot. Lastly, the interior is elegant and lovely. I felt that SASA is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to in London! I will definitely come back to try their dinner menu:)

5 Star Rating The food is outstanding! The sashimi melts in your mouth and is delectable, everything we tried out was absolutely incredible. You must try the ceviches and the tuna / chutoro / otoro sashimi. A really pleasant surprise was the matchamisu — it was super earthy, not sweet at all (so watch out if it’s something you’re expecting) and a very generous portion. The prices are very good for what you’re getting. The service could be a bit better and there wasn’t much of an atmosphere going on, which can be nice after a long day and you’re catching up with a friend. Would return!

5 Star Rating This is probably our new favourite sushi spot and so happy we finally came to try it. The crunchy tuna roll is so good, definitely recommend. The fish were all so fresh. We also got the SASA set, which comes with the spider roll, 6 nigiris and sashimi. Such good value and was well made. We ended with the basque cheesecake, which we didn’t expect much from, but it was very good. Not too heavy and a nice way to end our meal. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

4 Star Rating The restaurant is in a quiet area with a theatre close by that may attract dinner customers. The restaurant is big, spacious with a minimal decor but tasteful with nice colour themes. Nice sushi bar also and you can see the chefs working. It's not a typical Japanese experience as you are not greeted the way it's done in Japanese/sushi restaurants. I guess it's very casual. It's a bit confusing as the place looks formal more than casual especially with the prices on the menu. Overall atmosphere gets 4 stars. The food is excellent! I had the scallops and it was fabulous. I had 2 rolls and they both tasted fresh. Volcano and rainbow. Serving size looked pretty standard. The rolls were small enough to have in one bite which is near but I can't say they were super filling. So my only issue is that possibly another dish would have properly filled me. Serving sizes were okay but maybe price a bit too steep as I wasn't full after 3 dishes. Sushi serving size doesn't suit price. But the taste of each dish gives 5 stars. The restaurant wasn't busy when I went and there was a lot of staff, hovering. They were pleasant but I can't say they were friendly . Staff were bored. Not many customers at the time but I thought they could have been a bit more forthcoming and helpful with the menu. I didn't get that. I also didn't get any water. I feel like it should be a standard thing to do in a restaurant like that. Service felt more a bother to me. Service gets 4 stars.

5 Star Rating My first visit at this place. Been welcomed by a staff member and a manager who seated me while she could as it was a little busy. She was very polite and friendly. I ordered tofu laksa and I asked for no aubergine inside as I don’t like it. The soup was full of flour and spicy but I been warned and I was aware of it as well but I don’t mind spices. I been asked if I am allergic to anything and also the special lunch offer was presented to me and I could have free soft drink. The decor is nice and cozy. I paid 12.32£ which I think is reasonable. The wait for the food wasn’t long at all. Thanks.

3 Star Rating The staff are kind and helpful. The environment is pleasant. However my meal was very poor. The caesar salad with chicken was awful. Because I was with a group of friends it would have been inconvenient to complain, but it was truly bad and I left most of it. I could hardly find the "salad" which was a hard heart of lettuce covered in some sauce or other. There was plenty of chicken, but it was not breast and was not trimmed into pieces. The bacon was one rasher laid on the top, but that was tasty and edible. It was expensive especially when I couldn't eat it. Sorry.
