The London Waterbus Company is a private company that provides scenic cruises down the historic Regent's Canal. They have a fleet of four narrow canal boats, three of which have a historic Ship Certificate.

You can enjoy one way or return trips on the London Waterbus. Stops are available along the way, including Little Venice and the London Zoo. The boats feature large opening windows which are nice on warm sunny days.

The company also offers two different day trips on Saturdays during the summer months. You can explore the industrial history and architecture along London's lesser known waterways and you can enjoy seeing many famous London landmarks from a different perspective. The day trips feature an insightful commentary along the way. The Limehouse Trip takes you along the canals of north and east London and takes from 9:30am until 6:pm including a stop for lunch. The Black Horse at Greenford Trip takes you west through Regent's Park and beyond. It finishes around 5:30pm and includes a stop for lunch. These day trips must be booked in advance.

For regular Waterbus Service no booking is required. You can just pay on the boat by cash, debit card or major credit card.

London Waterbus Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 Star Rating

5 Star Rating A great way to see London and the canal leading to Camden market through Regent’s Park. It is a 45-minute ride. My favourite is narration and seeing the front lawn of celebrity mansions.

5 Star Rating My mother-in-law and I were in London and decided to check out Little Venice. We arrived via the tube, had lunch nearby, and decided to book with London Waterbus on a lovely afternoon. We sailed to Camden, an experience of itself. The guide was knowledgeable, the canal was interesting, and this was a relaxing way to see more of London!

5 Star Rating The cruise was a fun and relaxing time and a unique way to see some out-of-the-way parts of London. We were staying in Little Venice and this was a fun way to have an afternoon at the Camden Market and round trip back.

5 Star Rating We lucked out and had beautiful sunny warm weather for our tour, and it made the ride that much more beautiful and relaxing. The tour guide was funny, entertaining, and interactive with the group. Every employee we encountered was helpful, cheerful, and polite. The tour is very pleasant, and an interesting alternative view of some of London’s most popular areas. We ended in Camden, and the wharf is right smack in the middle of the bustling market so you can dive right into shopping for treasures. My mother uses a cane and has marginal mobility but everyone was so kind and helpful with her.

5 Star Rating Will, our tour guide, was funny and very friendly! He accommodated us even though I had read our tickets incorrectly. Wonderful ride. Stay away from the skipper of the #3 Perseus boat; however, he is a raging fecking a-hole who seems to be unhappy with everything the tour guide does. One of those no matter how you did it, you did it wrong kind of guys. Yelling at a fellow employee in front of customers is rude.

How to get to London Waterbus by Tube

From Warwick Avenue Station exit up the left hand stairs and walk straight ahead of you to the willow tree at the traffic lights (4 mins). Cross the road and the Pool is to your right. Walk around to your right and go down onto the towpath either at the small set of steps with a gate or at the entrance on the bridge.

From Paddington Station exit the station at the end of the main line platform No. 8 or the entry to the Hammersmith & City platforms. There is a walkway here which leads out of the station towards Paddington Basin and Little Venice.
