The London Waterbus Company is a private company that provides scenic cruises down the historic Regent's Canal. They have a fleet of four narrow canal boats, three of which have a historic Ship Certificate.

You can enjoy one way or return trips on the London Waterbus. Stops are available along the way, including Little Venice and the London Zoo. The boats feature large opening windows which are nice on warm sunny days.

The company also offers two different day trips on Saturdays during the summer months. You can explore the industrial history and architecture along London's lesser known waterways and you can enjoy seeing many famous London landmarks from a different perspective. The day trips feature an insightful commentary along the way. The Limehouse Trip takes you along the canals of north and east London and takes from 9:30am until 6:pm including a stop for lunch. The Black Horse at Greenford Trip takes you west through Regent's Park and beyond. It finishes around 5:30pm and includes a stop for lunch. These day trips must be booked in advance.

For regular Waterbus Service no booking is required. You can just pay on the boat by cash, debit card or major credit card.

London Waterbus Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 Star Rating

5 Star Rating We had the pleasure of meeting Alice, our genius tourguide, during the boat trip from Little Venice to Camden. Originally, we booked it to not have to walk for 45 minutes, instead we got a slight stomach ache from laughing at the witty and interesting commentary we got from Alice during the tour (figure of speech, this company is not actually responsible for physical harm). Would recommend!

5 Star Rating Great hosts, they were both fun and knowledgeable, great sites to see along the way. Reasonably priced too! I would definitely recommend doing a round trip and allow yourself some time to spend in Camden.

5 Star Rating We went from Little Venice to Camden on a Friday morning in late May. Great commentary on the history of the canals, as well as current details about the homes, houseboats and views. Only thing that could be improved is the sound system; it came through quite loud and a bit crackly. Hit the bathrooms before you come, not much nearby. Really enjoyed our experience.

5 Star Rating This was AMAZING. We were out having a wander around Little Venice and stumbled across it so we decided to take a trip. We absolutely loved it - Lottie's guided tour was brilliant and taught us so much about the sights on the way to Camden - didn't realise half of it. It takes about 45 minutes and well worth the money, plus it drops you right in the heart of Camden Market (or starts there if coming the other way). Highly recommend for anyone wanting something different for a day out. Was just the two of us on this occasion but planning on bringing our wider family along for another trip soon. Thank you!

How to get to London Waterbus by Tube

From Warwick Avenue Station exit up the left hand stairs and walk straight ahead of you to the willow tree at the traffic lights (4 mins). Cross the road and the Pool is to your right. Walk around to your right and go down onto the towpath either at the small set of steps with a gate or at the entrance on the bridge.

From Paddington Station exit the station at the end of the main line platform No. 8 or the entry to the Hammersmith & City platforms. There is a walkway here which leads out of the station towards Paddington Basin and Little Venice.
