FlightPad London Flight Simulator

The FlightPad London Flight Simulator experience provides the opportunity to see and feel what it is like to take the controls of a 737 - 800 passenger jet

Inside the cockpit of FlightPad London Flight Simulator

Do you ever wonder what all goes on in the cockpit of a passenger jet. The opportunity to experience what it would be like to take the controls of a large passenger jet is not available to the public in most cities, however London does have one such attraction - FlightPad London Flight Simulator. This attraction offers a very realistic and immersive experience and is highly recommended by many of those who have tried it.

FlightPad London's Simulator features a scale replica of a modern Boeing 737 cockpit with virtually every control simulated. More than just a ride, this is a real learning experience. With the exception of a motion platform this simulator is very much like the simulators used to train real pilots. Your experience will include a briefing and instruction from an actual pilot throughout the session. No previous experience is necessary. You will have the opportunity to take-off, fly and land in a very realistic and immersive virtual 737 airliner.

There are a variety of different experiences and price points available. The location is easy to get to via the Underground and only a 4 minute walk from the station.

This is certainly an experience to consider if you are interested in planes and aviation, but in most cases you must book your experience in advance, so be sure to visit their official website linked above.

FlightPad London Flight Simulator Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 Star Rating

5 Star Rating Was an excellent experience for my son’s 13th birthday. If you are a fan of planes this will be the ideal gift. Felt like you are on a real plane. The instructor was great and made it fun. Well worth it!

5 Star Rating Fantastic, way beyond expectation. Wilson tutor was cool beyond normal. Sat down entered details, to flight computer. Then take off, “plenty of time” Heathrow to Paris. Wow Landing “don’t rush, plenty of time we are 5 miles away” Will go again, and maybe …. too often

3 Star Rating The experience was nice overall, and the instructor Ahmad was super friendly and professional. However, I was sad that the sim rudder pedals and the electric pitch trim on the yoke were not working at all, which kind of defeated the purpose of going to a simulator. The lack of rudder pedals made the takeoff and landing impossible, and it significantly reduced realism (we ended up veering off the runway in both stages). It was not a simulated failure, the simulator was simply broken and there was no engineer to take care of it on the Sunday. For the price we paid, I was expecting more to be honest. It would be nice to have got a good discount at least. If the simulator had been perfectly working, it would have been awesome.

5 Star Rating This was an amazing experience especially as someone who’s a massive MSFS fan, saving up for their PPL. My instructor Dominic (a real 737 pilot) seemed like a really chill guy and welcoming. During the whole time, I did not feel rushed at any point and he was patient, answering any questions I had (both technical and personal) at a nice level of detail and we had a good conversation. Onto the simulator itself. You’re able to fly anywhere in the world and that Innsbruck Runway 26 Landing was breathtaking. I’m not an airline pilot but the cockpit perfectly matches the 737-800 cockpits that I find online. There was a minor problem with the seat recliner but it didn’t affect my flying in any way. Overall it’s an unforgettable day and I recommend it to anyone whether your an aviation fan or not. Thank you very much to Flightpad, Dominic and also Amir who went above and beyond by accommodating a specific timing request which was not available on the booking calendar

4 Star Rating The flight simulator itself was just an excellent experience for my son's 14th birthday. Very nice instructor, polite and friendly. He is a credit to the company. But the woman from the reception ((tall, long blonde hair), has completely spoiled the birthday present for our son. When we walked in, she was discretely informed by us, that it is a surprise for our son, so we wanted to keep it quiet for the time we had to wait for our turn. We wanted to see our son's reaction when he walks into the room with the simulator. And what the woman does after that? She shouts out loud to us, across the reception, "so how many people are flying today?" The birthday surprise completely spoiled. We were shocked by the lack of her professionalism and no customer service skills.
