4 Star Rating We went to the Mean girls fetch party - it was fun! The pink popcorn was very on theme but a bit dry to be honest! The cocktail was great 🩷 we had seats front row and to be honest, I don’t think they should have seats this close to the screen. From where we were sat their faces were distorted which was very distracting to begin with! Would definitely go back, just with seats further away…

5 Star Rating Really cosy, lovely cinema. Staff were so helpful and welcoming, and really patient when we couldn't decide what to order. Excellent vegan options for a cinema (vegan pizza and hot dogs). We had the pizza, hotdogs and 2x660ml brew dogs and it came to £32. Would go again!

3 Star Rating Not a great experience for us. They didn't have half of the menu. Small screen Staff members running all over the place. Wanted to buy a bottle of water at the bar they charged £4 and on the menu is a different price. U can't order during movie or you'll miss the movie. The all experience was pointless, and quite disappointing.

4 Star Rating The Globe is what I would consider a typical, established London restaurant. It is in a highly touristy area very near the Beatles store, Sherlock Holmes Museum and Madame Tussauds but when we went for lunch there was no wait. At first we were a little confused because there no one came to take our order. We then learned that you choose what you want and either order from your phone or step up to the bar and the bartender will place the order for you. They offered a Gin Bramble on the menu (my favorite drink!) but it was just okay. Other brambles that I have had contained fresh blackberries and mint but this one seemed to just be a flavored spritzer. So the drink was disappointing but my meal of fish and chips was excellent. My husband really enjoyed his shepherd's pie. The bathrooms are downstairs but they do have a handicapped accessible bathroom on the main floor. Since I don't do stairs well, I used that one. I've certainly seen cleaner, nicer bathrooms but it served the purpose and was easy to access.

5 Star Rating Located in the heart of London, my visit to The Globe was an absolute delight. This traditional English pub effortlessly combines classic charm with a warm and inviting atmosphere. With origins dating back to the 18th century, The Globe seamlessly blends history with modern amenities. Its beer garden and sports viewing area add a contemporary touch to the pub’s historical ambiance. When it comes to the menu, The Globe truly exemplifies traditional English cuisine. Their fish and chips are an absolute standout, featuring perfectly crispy and golden batter that encases the freshest fish. Paired with hand-cut chips, this dish is truly unforgettable. Another classic option on the menu is their pie, which is equally impressive. Filled with rich flavors that speak of high-quality ingredients and skilled preparation, it’s a true culinary delight. One intriguing aspect of The Globe is its proximity to Wembley Stadium, making it the perfect gathering spot for football enthusiasts before or after a game. The atmosphere during match days is electric, with fans coming together to share their passion for the sport. Moreover, the pub’s location opposite Baker Street Station places it near iconic landmarks such as Madame Tussauds and the Sherlock Holmes Museum, making it an attractive destination for tourists seeking an authentic English pub experience. Apart from its delightful offerings, The Globe also stands out for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, including the toilets. It’s worth mentioning their commendable efforts in sustainability, particularly through their plastic recycling initiatives, which contribute positively to the environment. What truly makes every visit to The Globe special is its warm and welcoming staff. As you step onto the well-worn wooden floor, you can’t help but feel the stories that have unfolded within these walls. Countless people have gathered here over the years, sharing moments of joy and camaraderie. The Globe is more than just a pub; it’s a slice of London’s history. It offers a cozy retreat with exceptional food, a vibrant atmosphere, and a touch of English heritage. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, a visit to The Globe promises an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression.

3 Star Rating Came here for lunch on St Patrick's Day with family. Very nice atmosphere and staff very friendly and helpful. One of my party is in wheelchair & was accommodated easily with a standard level table being bought over as downstairs the tables are higher level. Fish & chips were amazing as was their steak toastie & Beyond Meat burger. Everything was fresh & tasty. One of my family has shellfish allergy and when ordering the bar attendant checked with kitchen if what we were ordering would be safe & was confirmed that would have been. Updated March 2024. Came back & very disappointed with the sandwich. I ordered the chicken & bacon sandwich which says om menu it's made with chicken breast & streaky bacon with coleslaw on sourdough bread. It came as all mixed together on what looked like cheap white supermarket bread. . Other food that others in my party had was fine

5 Star Rating I had the great pleasure of visiting The Globe for a 21st birthday party where the upper floor had been reserved for the event. The staff were brilliant; everyone was looked after and treated with respect. Drinks were served without fuss and food delivered promptly. The food was good and exceeded my expectations and was commented on by everyone who'd eaten. I have no reservations in recommending the place and thanks to the staff for a great night. Thank you all.

5 Star Rating A last minute lunch with friends. Phoenix was recommended by one of the group. A modest street entrance opens into a large dining room that is decorated in a traditional style. The staff were all welcoming, warm, friendly and accommodating. Could not be faulted. We ordered a mix of dim sum and main dishes that we shared. Everything was great although the Peking Duck was a bit dry. From reviews and friend recommendations I believe this was just a one-off and I will definitely return and try the Peking Duck again. Pricing was ok as we ordered far too much, had a beer each and it was around £55 each including service. Definitely worth a visit.

5 Star Rating One of the Soho Houses near Baker Street serving excellent Chinese cuisine. Weekends are packed with people so do pre-book. Toilets were clean and service pretty good despite the busy lunch hour. The dishes can be quite spicy with generous addition of dry red cillies. So if you cannot tolerate that, ask them to recommend mild dishes. On our last visit coffee machine was broken but, they had the full list of coffee on this occasion.

4 Star Rating I’ve only ever been here for dinner over the past 20+ years and quality of food has always been great. So came here for dim sum. Food was just as good. There’s a good selection of dim sum available and some new style ones like the steam rice rolls with crispy dough and prawns. Spare ribs were quite large compared to other restaurants. The beef crispy noodles and ho fun dish was nasty, with a good amount of beef. I wasn’t disappointed.

2 Star Rating I really felt the quality of the food is below the others I’ve have been to. The food wasn’t cooked particularly well, such as the spring rolls were not well coloured and soaked with oil, turnip cake lacked texture, most for he dished came out lukewarm, the dumplings texture was quite rubbery. I really got the feeling of Chinese take away quality rather than restaurant.

5 Star Rating Visited The Metropolitan Bar last Friday before Christmas so expected for it to be busy and it was. Few Bouncers around but spoke to them all and very friendly. Grand building, making for a nice surroundings. First drinks got from bar, very with few people, member of staff was helpful and friendly. Could not see my preference of beer, Boombar but was there at £4.52 and it was an excellent pint, they know how to keep real ales, cheaper than my local out of London pub. Ordered others drinks from App and they come up in a timing manner. There are few Wetherspoons I won't visit but this I woukd recommend.

5 Star Rating Nestled in the vibrant streets of London, the Allsop Arms stands as a beacon of British pub culture. My recent visit to this charming place left me thoroughly impressed, and I'm delighted to share my experience. Firstly, let's talk about the food. I indulged in their classic Fish and Chips, a quintessential British dish done to perfection. The crispy golden batter encapsulating the tender fish fillet was a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. But it was the Pulled Mushroom Chili that truly stole the show. As a semi vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for inventive meat-free options, and the Allsop Arms did not disappoint. The hearty combination of tender pulled mushrooms in a rich, spicy sauce was a revelation. It's a dish that challenges traditional notions of pub fare and emerges victorious. Now, onto the service. Preethi, one of the staff members, deserves a special mention for her outstanding suggestion. Her warmth and knowledge of the menu made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Her recommendation of the Pulled Mushroom Chili was spot on and added an extra layer of satisfaction to my meal. The ambiance of the Allsop Arms is quintessentially British, with its cozy interiors and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're catching up with friends over a pint of ale or savoring a hearty meal solo, this pub offers the perfect setting for any occasion.

3 Star Rating A friend hired a section of the pub for his retirement celebration. Service was ok but some of the bar staff gave the impression that they didn't want to be there. Sadly it was service without a smile. Towards the end another member of staff began her shift and thankfully she was a lot friendlier. Food was good and the pub was quiet for a Friday afternoon.

5 Star Rating A well-deserved 5 star, I would even give 10 as this branch of Nandos is actually providing Halal chickens. It was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever eaten, and I thought the size of the burger could be a bit bigger. Was not impressed with the Peri Peri chicken, and rice was not up to the mark, but this rating is mainly for 3 reasons - tasty burger, halal food, and nice atmosphere. Will go back there again, and maybe this time, the chicke will taste better. Recommended to all, especially to Muslim people as you can Halal chicken here.

3 Star Rating Day before yesterday, we went toNandos Soho and enjoyed so much that we decided to go again yesterday but ended up going to the Bakser Street one. Usually it's ok however, yesterday was really bad. First we had to wait 33 mins for our table, then another half an hr for our order as there was a mix up, then when the food finally came it was cold so we requested for hot food.. they said they'll give it, but as we were starving, we started eating the rice and chips and then they came and said as you've already eaten, we can only give you one piece of chicken. Like what thw hell. We complained and instead the manager became overly rude. After much fighting we did get some hot chicken but the wait wasn't worth it and it was such horrible experience.

3 Star Rating It's a place that I wanted to visit since I came to London as I'm a fan of Italian food. Now, to be honest, I think that the experience here is going to vary a bit depending on the hour on which you visit. We were a bit unlucky to come at a very busy time. We had to wait a bit to find a seat and thus, the overall atmosphere was very tiring due to the very loud noise. In terms of food, the pizza was good as well as the pasta, but nothing extraordinary. The Tiramisu on the other had was pretty bland, nothing worth mentioning about. I'm a bit intrigued by the popularity of this place, but that's just a personal opinion. Overall, if I ended up at another time when the place wasn't so crowded, I think that the experience would have been a bit better. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it while being full.

5 Star Rating I almost didnt get anything from here because the Google rating was so low and the photos of the food looked so poor on their menu. But it was 8pm, I was on my way to catch a train, starving and just decided to get something anyway because the staff was so friendly. So happy I did! I was really impressed by the miso aubergine, beautifully cooked and not too sweet. I’ve had so many miso aubergines (I’m vegan) and this one was really delicious! I was not expecting a lot, but the flavour and texture was perfect and the rice and edamame beans with roasted peppers was a lovely compliment. Kept me full on my journey and no bad aftertastes, seemed very fresh and took 10 min to prepare but I didn’t mind waiting for it. Highly recommend this place. Nice staff, decent vegan food options, I just wouldn’t eat inside because the table / decor / lighting is a bit grimy.

5 Star Rating Very happy with the overall food quality and the service was friendly. The starters were bigger than we expected and they were delicious! For mains, we ordered the special braised lamb cooked with plums and apricots and seafood risotto. The succulent lamb just tears apart without a knife, absolutely delightful! The seafood risotto was surprisingly tasty. All the seafood was perfectly cooked, super tender and not chewy at all. The risotto was incredibly creamy with a special touch of Mediterranean flavour. Yum! We shared the kunefe which was served warm. You can tell that the dessert was homemade and the toasted pistachio was amazing! Paired seamlessly with soft cheese centred kadaif. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back again!
