Had early dinner a couple of days ago. It was late afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. Service was prompt. The two dishes we ordered were taste. Pricing is reasonable. The interior needs a little TLC.

This is a great Chinese restaurant in central London. This is my second visit here. I ordered Prawn Crackers, Hot and Sour Soup, along with Sweet and Sour King Prawn. I washed it down with a Tsing Tao Beer. Great authentic food in a nice clean restaurant.
There is a "discretionary" 12.5 percent service charge that will be added to your bill, not sure how that is "discretionary".

Busy evening but the service was great and the food tasted fantastic. Specially the Duck. Roasted Duck yes run and try it. The best i have tasted. The service was 100 % and at the end of the meal the manager came with free dessert on the house. She was friendly and smiling and gave us the story of the restaurant. Can really recommend this to all my Norwegiand friends.

The best duck meal and it’s £11.20.
“Barbecue meat on rice” - this sits on the menu discreetly under “Rice”. You get almost the same amount of the juiciest roast duck for less than half the price of other duck dishes! Comes with the sauce with some greens. Portion is filling, the photo is half-eaten.
You can walk in, food comes out in under 5 mins during lunch during weekdays.
I’ve been coming here for the last 20 years, alone and with noisy group of friends. Food and service are good consistently, a true survivor - quite rightly - whilst many other businesses come and go. So good!

This is a place to visit just for the food that is always consistently good. Service is the usual Chinese restaurant standard with frosty staff and the carpet is very dirty and worn but the food always makes up for it. Be aware the prices on the website aren’t the same on the menu!

I absolutely love here! Been here with my friends several times and we had so much fun!! The staff are quite helpful and they’re eager to help with anything requires. Just one reminder, do be careful of pickpockets in this area, they could sneak in to the venue and take your valuables from the bag. Although cctv was in use but still it’s always too late and we customers could not see it straight away. However when it happened the staff were very active with assisting us. Hope to visit there soon!

I had a 17 bowler booking for my birthday and the numbers had to be changed twice and the staff were more than helpful. Even grouping the bowlers twice in the lanes. On the day everyone went like clockwork and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.

This spacious ring offers both slow and fast lanes, catering to various preferences. While it's clean, bringing lockers for your belongings is necessary. Highly recommended, especially for groups. The temperature is just right, not too cold or overwhelming. Plus, the ambiance is welcoming for families.

Great one stop shop party venue. Lots to be enjoyed here and great to gave the central location.
The rental boots have certainly seen better days as they were rather beaten up. But they seemed to do the job.

Lady took an extremely long time to serve us for no reason. Food took an hour to come out even though it wasn’t busy AND food was cold when it arrived too. Service was below par the whole time we were there. Definitely do not come here if you are in any sort of rush but glad they feel as if they can provide jobs to people who need a lot of practice and coaching in the hospitality industry.

Phoenix is my local pub, and we have been going there now weekly for around two years .. we met some amazing people there and there is pool table and we play poker on Mondays. Anna -the manager is really lovely and very helpful- whenever I have any requests she helps out and I see that she leads her team to do the same. It’s a pleasure to live in the area and you know you are going somewhere nearby and they ll welcome you as Anna and her team does. Thank you

Visited for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was relatively empty but food took a long time to arrive, about 30mins. The food was good. There is a very limited menu and therefore even more limited if you are vegetarian. Service was good. It was really cold in the whole place. The inside is huge so suitable for groups. Drinks selection is extensive.

Very friendly and knowledgeable employees. Had a good conversation with the bar keeps. Then we had to try 'fish and chips' London experience. This did not disappoint. Fish was a very generous portion and good tasting. Tried vinegar (first time) with the Haddock and I liked it. Great overall experience.

Jolly and lively is how I would describe the Prince Alfred on the corner of Queensway and Porchester Gardens. A range of keg beers with Ghost ship from the cask, along with a cider I do not know. Super friendly service and a lovely place to drink in. A fine place for a pint.

Friendly staff. Food was excellent. There was a mistake with my order and they replaced the whole meal as well as offering a free dessert to make up for it. The ice cream was delicious and enough to feed the three of us plus extra. Fantastic service. Thank you!

Had dinner with friends who are regulars at this restaurant. It was a Friday evening and the restaurant was running full. We were given a nice table for four. Service was prompt fast and courteous. All the dishes and desserts were tasty and portions were a good size. Reasonable pricing.

The food was mediocre (above average), which was disappointing because we were looking forward to this place given the stellar reviews both online and from friends. There isn’t much to say aside from the food just didn’t taste amazing, it was good but nothing special. The best dish was the Cantonese style roast duck, which was juicy and tender.

Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in London❣️if you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, here’s the place you’re looking for!
I’ve been here twice, no matter is the quality of food or service is excellent and never let me down.
Recommend dishes:
Chasiu (barbecue roast pork)
Golden deep fried prawn
Dim sum (prawn dumplings, deep fried taro pastry)
Sweet and sour chicken
Scarlette Fong - 3 months ago
I had high expectations because of the good reviews, but I found the food just so-so. Service was also average. My friend and I were shocked that our bill came up to £70 for 2 people. We ordered three types of dimsum, two mains, a cup of rice and a pot of tea. The serving size was generous though.

What a lovely place, the two OAP bouncers on the door made me smile, not bouncers but a couple of regs having a fag.... An excellent cornerstreet pub offering a good range of beers and excellent jovial service, just brilliant. Recommend for a pint anytime.

Pop in to catch a live football match in tbis pub that sell food too.
The place is obviously under staffs as the manager or owner took quite a while to switch the right channel.
There is a wait of about 5 to 8 minutes to take an order (faster if the person behind the bar is not busy)
Ordered the seafood risotto which is OK, the salmon taste good but risotto a little on the hard side.
The nacho taste funny and some seem half bake or fried. Don't order that.
Beer was OK.

📝Notes: Halepi is a Greek restaurant that has been around for decades. They are famously known for their Milkfed Lamb. I got the chance to try it and must I say, despite its basic presentation, it tastes really good 😋
I noticed that this restaurant is very traditional in the way that the staff operates. The staff are friendly but unfortunately it was hard to call them at times.
I wouldn’t mind coming back as I enjoyed my meal, just the only thing that I would change are the seats as they are a bit uncomfortable as well as the tables are all close by to each other, they do that to accommodate more guests but I do feel like they could work on that, there’s potential ✨

We went there to celebrate our marriage anniversary. We have not reserved in advance and the place is crowded. However, the Manager was super nice and asked us to wait until he could avail a slot. We did get a table and I can’t tell you how the food was tasty and the team super warm. A real taste of Greek plates done in home kitchen that is an absolute DELIGHT! I would definitely recommend this place for an excellent dinner. We will definitely return there

This place was a blast and the food was amazing! We were eager to try it but there were no reservations available online but when we stopped by they said they could squeeze us in! Yay! We were so glad they did. We had a large hummus, large Greek salad, mousaka, fresh pita bread and chicken kebab and rice and it was all sooo good. The wine was great and the atmosphere was fun. Really nice staff and music playing, clapping and a birthday at a table nearby. Someone also got the whole chicken and it looked amazing too. Our 5 year-old loved it, too!

Talk about the feeling of authenticity stepping into Halepi off the London street you’d think you were transported to a little restaurant in Greece.
Wonderful decor & music to set the mood. Also, some great memorabilia over the years from patrons you might recognise!
With a very warm welcome we were swiftly escorted to our table.
We were provided with the menus & almost immediately had some olives to the table, service not requested but automatically provided a genuinely nice touch.
We had a few dishes and each were served fairly soo after ordering, were hot and with beautiful presentation. The lamb koftas were packed full of herbs & spices a triumph!
The lamb shoulder just melted away from the bone, was succulent and juicy.
We opted for a vintage bottle of Greek wine which was full bodied & smooth.
My goodness what a throughly wonderful meal and experience.
Very reasonably priced too.
A throughly and easily deserved 5 stars, wish I could give 6! Thank you all for a fantastic evening.

Great restaurant specialising in the famous lobster noodles. Always have to order a dish when we come here. The lobster is fresh and juicy. Also tried the duck pancake which was tender with nice crispy skin on top. The spring onion and cucumber could be a bit fresher. Egg fried rice was very fragrant with the wok taste. Booked last minute to come here on the evening before the Lunar New Year and manager managed to squeeze us in which was really nice. Do come here if you fancy some lobster!

Overall an acceptable chinese for london, unfortunately you don’t get many good chinese dine in london! You either get high end asian fusion mayfair restaurants which are missing many items from their menus or you get your frozen kind of local chinese take out which their food is not edible ! So if you are craving an old school chinese restaurant , this place could be a good option!
They are famous for their lobster noodles with ginger and spring onion sauce which If I have to score it, I will say 7/10 ! You have to pay for lobster and noodle separately so it is not a cheap option !
Overall all the dishes tasted nice and some like, crispy baby squid and spicy chicken were great!
Will I go again : Yes

The new management have completely transformed Byzantium Cafe again. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and cosy. The food is simple and delicious, like home made, and beautifully presented. The iconic Byzantium Cafe of the 90's had lost its edge. For years it was struggling to find its identity. The new management, completely changed it and although it's not a traditional Greek cafe any more, I have to say that it's brilliant!
Imam - stuffed aubergine, the Greek Salad and the mixed salad were all great. Really nice and traditional flavours, nice presentation (without being OTT), friendly staff and reasonable prices. What's not to like?

I came across this peaceful Greek while riding my bike .The staff was friendly and held the door open so I could bring my bike inside.
I tried the vegetable tart, which was incredibly tasty and the pastry part of which melted in your mouth as proof that everything in the cafe is made from scratch.
The coffee is outstanding, and the cafe's long wooden tables make you feel at home.

Hello Saturday, back at one of my favorite places! Greek Goodness 😋 so many times when eating out I like to go in reverse. What does that mean, you might ask? Well, it means I like to start my meal first with something sweet. I know you are puzzled a bit?! ? 😂 But no worries, try sometimes. Today I had Greek coffee with a delicious chocolate cookie that was full of dark chocolate chunks. I like to dip in my cookie in my coffee. It does remind me of my childhood when grandma made kids coffee and cookies were given and we were included as part of that ritual. Some of the most special memories! Something I always order here is spinach pie or spanakopita, and I make sure and tell them to warm up extra. So tasty and crunchy on top. Cheese inside was perfectly balanced and not too salty as I have had in some others places in London. The breakfast eggs called Kayana are absolutely one of my fave things to have here! They serve it with the green salad and the eggs are placed on top of the grilled bread! To me kayana always needs to have correct spices including oregano which makes this eggs more flavorful. Otherwise it would be just plain scrambled eggs. Right amount of tomatoes, spices and feta with olive oil and you will ask for one more order, trust me! I hope you will try this place and I might even be there, so don’t be shy and say hello! Have a be blessed weekend dear people! Cheers to Life! 🙏☀️
