I love this venue. It’s got a lot of history and is small enough to feel a little bit intimate in comparison to the bigger venues. It has hardly changed a bit for years, apart from being a bit spruced up over the years. It’s in the heart of Camden so there’s always somewhere to go after the gig and the people that go here are great. It’s a good crack and one of my favourite venues. ‘Ave it!

Went for a gig. Venue is really cool. I don't live in London, but it gave me rock par vibes, even though the style of it is a little grand. Best thing I can say is the sound system was top notch, even with booming discordant base, and choppy guitar riffs. Would definately go back for a drink or another gig.

A stones throw from Camden Town tube this music venue has both good sound and lighting, clean loos and more than one bar with quick service.
Don't turn up with food, drink etc. as these cannot be taken in. I would have given five stars but the security, who are pleasant otherwise, were perhaps a bit too assertive with those not following the rules.

We attended the Electric Ballroom in Camden for a GWC wrestling event. The show was amazing and well worth the money we will definitely be returning for Wrestling in the future. All the staff there were friendly and helpful!!!

Food was delicious 😋 enjoyed the tuna starter & squid. Unfortunately the chicken wings were dry for me. We had burgers as mains, nice portion took some home. The dessert was a dark chocolate ganache with honeycomb. Strangely served in a drinking glass - nice, rich but small portion.
Venue was gorgeous inside, unfortunately not enough staff, despite going up to pay I was told I had to await a server - that took age's!!.
As part of First table.

Came for late lunch, seated after a little wait at the bar, by a smiley host, staff having a laugh but attentive to us and other tables around. Food was great for all of us, pretty much had everything on the menu for the 5 of us.
Rounds of Guinness came in constantly, just what we love.
Been before, will come again next weekend, see you soon Mattie, best server this side of the river!

We went to blues kitchen camden on a Tuesday night and the atmosphere was buzzing. The food was also lovely. Our night was made by the incredible service from our waitress Rama who was so hospitable and friendly.
I would definitely recommend this for a date night meal or a fun night out with friends!

Great vibes, amazing live music, and delicious food! The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, perfect for a night out. The staff were super friendly and the cocktails were spot on. Definitely a Camden gem! will be back!

Our server was Elena and wow!!! She was just so wonderful and lovely! Made us feel so at home and cared for. In addition to them, all the other staff we talked with were nothing but so sweet and kind and full of energy. The food was so amazing and delicious, especially the pork belly and the wings! The cocktails were so unbelievably good and the entire experience left us feeling amazing. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Absolutely fantastic venue. Intimate session. Great acoustics. Back again after last year for a repeat of Third World. Fairly accessible. Main toilets are on a lower level. Eating with stage viewing area upstairs. Very friendly vibe.

Small venue with a lot of atmosphere. The layout is fun, with a wide but shallow standing area on the ground floor, so you're at most maybe ten rows back from the stage. Seating upstairs with dining looks nice (didn't go up there on my visit). Sound quality was great, and staff friendly. Easy access via tube and bus.

We came to see Chali 2na and it was our second visit to Camden Jazz Café—this time, we were excited to enjoy the full restaurant experience. Our first visit was to see Roachford, and being on the floor was amazing enough, but this was really special.
This venue is special. We travelled a five-hour round trip and it was worth every second. The atmosphere was so cosy and intimate, the performance outstanding, and the service incredibly attentive. Even making sure we walkways had water without us even asking—such a thoughtful touch.
The meal was lovely, and the prices were fair considering the quality of food, service, and entertainment. This place offers a unique experience that everyone should try at least once. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Fingers crossed Roachford returns soon—we’d love to see him again!

Super venue haven’t been here in a long time
Easy to book
Nice and secure welcome friendly staff especially reception and security
Good bars x2
Diverse crowd of all ages reflective of London at its best!
The band Everything Yes were from North Carolina and such great energetic performances. Even the opening trio were fabulous
A few rowdy people were efficiently escorted out but didn’t ruin the show
Sound system good and realised I’ve really missed this place!

I love the coziness of the place and how dim the lights are. I enjoyed the experience of the concert I went for. It’s also easy to locate as it’s about 4 mins away from the train station. The concert pricing was affordable.

We had a fantastic experience at Jamon Jamon Camden! The tapas were delicious, the chorizo and chicken paella was perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and a special mention to the new manager, Isa, who gave us great recommendations and made us feel at home.
If you love authentic Spanish food with excellent service, this is the place to go!
tyty - 5 months ago
My interest in visiting this place was because I saw that Amy Winehouse loved to eat there.
That's why I went there and I eat Spanish food (I had already tried Spanish food when I was in Barcelona and Madrid).
So this place is very nice, the atmosphere, the food, the service and the music and it’s close to the bus station, metro, pubs, etc. I love it.

Incredible. Absolutely amazing service and the food was to die for. The staff were lovely and you can tell they love to work there. The portion sizes were great and worth the price. Would definitely recommend the Paella mixta! They had a salsa dance class going on at the front of the restaurant which gave a really relaxed and homely atmosphere.

Visited here with some colleagues after work one evening and enjoyed it. Staff were really nice and friendly, service was pretty speedy, some of the food like calamari didn’t taste the best quality but was good value for money. (Happy hour sangria always goes down well too).

And the best part was the service - The manager Isabelle was just so lovely, warm and friendly. And Vicky was just the sweetest! and bubbly, with such a big heart !
Thank you 🙏 Isabelle, Vicky & Chef!

Amazing place for metalheads and alt people! Although it's close to the underground station there are not many tourists, they have a huge variety of drinks, friendly stuff, great ambience and amazing food (all vegan)! Concerts are in a separate room upstairs so you can enjoy a drink in the bar all the time.

One of our stops on our pub crawl through the Camden area and this place had great vibes. Would only recommend it if you're into metal/rock but our group thought it was pretty awesome. We ordered some premixed shots and went on our way, but I could definitely see myself having more drinks here if we had more time!

Stopped here for a Sunday roast before a nearby gig. Overall the roast was one of the nicest I've had at a pub for years, especially the potatoes. The atmosphere was good, it was lively but not too loud or crowded. The service was really good too. For me personally, I'd like a roast option that wasn't imitation meat (a nut roast, vegan wellington etc) - but that's personal preference, as I often dislike the texture of mock meat.

What an atmosphere. Metalheads paradise. Excellent food. Veg friendly and dog friendly.
And gig or dance space on the 1st floor.
Won't mind coming back.
Make sure to wear something dark - just to fit in. 🤘🤘

We always have a good time here. Good vibes, nice staff, good drinks and selection of, and one of the better alt pubs in Camden. The upstairs venue is great for catching smaller bands, and the bar downstairs is a great place to chill. The food is good too!
Only thing that I can say is how quickly bands get rushed out after playing upstairs. There’s barely any time for them to sell merch or hang around, even though music keeps blasting downstairs anyway. Just feels like the management could chill a bit and give artists more breathing room, because they deserve it.
Still love the place though, and will definitely keep coming back. 🖤

Great little pub, lovely and quiet away from the manic high street. £6 for a Stella which isn’t too bad for London prices. Great music!
Dev - a month ago
Great pub, somehow still authentic and I could tell locals still pay it a visit. Incredible, since it's Camden and stone's throw from that dystopian high street.
It has a run down vibe which I love in boozers but at the same time needs a proper work with toilets, they are not nice to use at all. I know, I know, I'm old.
Cool service, those guys are chilled and I bet seen everything. Not that much room to seat thou.
Barely any choice when it comes to non-alkoholic beers, I don’t why that is. It’s London in general.

Great pub by the river. I’d never been to The Spoons in Camden, but what a great find. Less than £10 for a round of two drinks, and right by the lock, you can’t go wrong. Charlie was amazing! She was running around like noone’s business clearing tables and all sorts. Her service was top notch. I’m going back there for sure!
Nick Osborn - a week ago
I’m a loyal customer of the Wetherspoon pubs. Whenever I’m in a city in the United Kingdom, I know I can count on a “Spoons” nearby and that already saves any hangout.
What I like the most is that the beer is cheap, the service is fast and there is always a relaxed atmosphere, without that formality of expensive pubs. The menu is basic, but efficient, with options that go well for those who want to eat and drink without spending too much. In addition, their app makes it so much easier: you can order from the table, pay right there and that’s it.
For those who visit the United Kingdom, I think it’s really worth visiting a Wetherspoon either for a reinforced breakfast, a beer in the late afternoon

Pictured is the "small pub classics" sized fish and chips. The perfect serving size at a great price! The location was great, fantastic views of Camden Lock out the windows.
Even though you place your order through an app, the service was surprisingly great! Prompt delivery of drinks and food, and we were checked up on to see if we needed anything else. Lovely!

I don’t think 🤔 the food here is particularly good so I don’t order anything, however the beer 🍻 selection and prices can’t be beat. This location is very busy and offers both a large indoor and outdoor seating area.
The staff are generally helpful, although on this occasion I had an unusual experience. The evening before I had been drinking Shipyard American Pale Ale at their Southgate location. I enjoyed the pint so I decided to order the same beer here. The beer poured here was completely different. I pointed this discrepancy out to the staff and my observation was met with disregard. The pint I had been given had a beautiful creamy head, much like Worthington’s whose tap was beside Shipyard’s. No one entertained the idea that maybe 🤔 the lines had been crossed.
I didn’t really care because my pint was delicious and that was enough for me to dismiss the staff’s dismissive attitude 😁

Very busy Wetherspoons by Regents canal, packed with people eating and drinking outside. Not so busy inside as it was a nice day and the majority sat outside.
Knocked one star off review as it had a poor selection of cask ale (there was five empty pumps)

Visited at 3:15pm on a rainy Sunday. Very spacious and plenty of seats. I sat myself as could see the staff were busy, they spotted me and promptly came over to take my order.
Food came out quickly and was tasty, really like the texture of the new vegan chicken. I do think the portions have gotten smaller 😅
V handy to pay via QR code. Loos were clean.

I rarely leave a review, however I feel it's vital to give feedback especially as hospitality is my background.
Disappointed with both the dishes we ordered - the quality and customer service at this branch has really gone down. Perhaps it was just a duff Thursday night.
I felt that only 2 members of staff were personable. Especially Kedest, thank you for your wonderful service, even when you were overseeing the bar, your attentiveness was truly appreciated.
Following ordering, I was shocked to have my salad placed carelessly by the floor Manager at the end of the table, as opposed to in front of me, on my paper mat.
I know customers can be difficult on many occasions, but a little bit more kindness and attentiveness would have been much appreciated. Especially when you pay nearly £40 for 2 underwhelming dishes. I guess it all depends on the Brsnch, the kitchen team & the floor team on the day.
This has been a long standing jaunt for myself and my daughter, being local, hence our disappointment.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Wagamama in Camden—2 adults and 3 kids. The kids really enjoyed their ramen, and the prawn chilli ramen was fresh and delicious. Only thing we missed were the eggs that used to come with the ramen on the old menu. Starters were also very good. Great spot for a relaxed family meal!

Update: a couple hours later I got very sick- all the food erupted from my body. I was sick for 2 days, a nightmare.
I have a gluten allergy (celiac) and there is a separate menu for gf and the manager took my order and the food took longer to come out, which is fine for me. I’m glad they are careful and following allergen protocols.
My husband enjoyed his teriyaki soba. It’s good amount of food for the price. It’s not tasting like when he lived in Japan, but that’s to be expected.
I didn’t want a rice dish since I eat rice at home, so I chose one of the noodle dishes on the gf menu- shrimp and chicken pad Thai. It was good.
We liked the hot green tea.
The restaurant is very loud. The bathrooms could be cleaner.

My favourite ever! I no longer live in Camden but think longingly of this place when I'm hungry! The flavours are fantastic and great selection of dishes. I've never had a disappointing one. The staff are warm and welcoming.

They serve okay Indian food, nothing particularly memorable or amazing in my opinion, the portion was quicker lightly spiced for my liking. Atmosphere also kind of average and forgettable. Price is a bit high but the main reason I dropped stars was 12.5. % "optional" service fee on top of which the server added some 5 pound tip without telling me about either, in my home country this would be unacceptable, if it's standard practice in London, assume this is a four star review and call me Karen.
Flammie Pirinen (Flammie) - a month ago
Really loved my experience here!
The service is top notch, the place itself is cozy, not much hustle to get a table and the food is really really good, it really keeps the flavors of the authentic Indian food!
The garlic naan was delicious and the chicken tikka masala was soooooo goood!!! Sadly I couldn’t try the chai since they don’t prepare it with alternative milks!
And if you let know the staff about your allergies or food restrictions they will really take care of you!
Definitely going to try it again!

Expensive, poor service, food is super average, does not leave any " want to come back" feeling. 15% service charge for no service. Asked for sweet mango lassi and slated lassi and the guy first said he did not have and then said he could only make 1 as he has only 1 blender. Seriously? Cannot was the 1 blender after 1st use?Very Limited veg options. Menu does not separate veg n non veg.

Updated review Feb 2023
This was a place where I used to come every 3-6 months and carrying my friends here. This time we came we were completely disappointed.
The food became much worse, when we asked why the waiter told us that they changed the sauces… look at the pictures of my review before and after.
They did not have most of the things we wanted. Prawn and begs had little shrimps instead or half of the prawns in a nest of veggies. The mains had only 3 (!!!) pieces of prawns…
I asked to have no ice in the smoothie and the waitress told me that it would be less in portion - the way they try to save the money by adding the ice
Completely dissatisfied and disappointed. Not planning to come back. Such a shame this place has become much worse. I used to recommend this place a lot. Now regret.

Great bottomless brunch myself and 3 friends came about 12:30 and had reserved online but we were greeted and seated quickly and the food started coming out and the alcohol was flowing! Another point to note if you don’t drink like myself they offer the menu of mock tails in lieu of the alcoholic beverages! Was a great little venue tucked down Inverness street.

It was our 2nd visit, and it was still the same warmth by the staff. Despite being a late entry to the restaurant, the chef made a special chicken starter for us, fingerlicking delicious. The Malaysian chicken curry was full of flavours. And the Thai chilli prawns were amazing with jasmine rice

I went here with my 2 friends for the bottomless brunch. It was fantastic! We got a 3-course meal (and the food was LOVELY) and unlimited cosmopolitans. The service was so quick, once we had finished our glass they instantly refilled it. The interior was really nice, with cool lights/plants/objects. I HIGHLY recommend, especially for bottomless brunch, you really get your moneys worth.
