Big queue outside along the high street on arrival but soon moved once doors opened. A kid of circular bar inside with the stage off to the side with other bars also. The venue has a small upstairs seating area also. £6.60 for a pint of Camden Pale Ale absolute steal in Central London! Great sound, great views, great band. Would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant gig venue, plenty of space and viewing options. The sound system is fantastic and you could hear everything clearly irrespective of where you were stood. Very friendly and attentive bar staff too.

Went for the Billy Nomates gig in October '25. The venue's good. Was able to see most of the stage even though I'm not that tall and was about a third of the way back to the side. Sound quality was pretty good (maybe could've used a slight reduction in the bass). Plenty of options at the bars, and the number of bar staff was better than normal for a venue this size. Good transport links too.

I love this venue! The sound is excellent and due to the size there has always been a good atmosphere when I've been to this venue.
There are a number of bars and the service was good.
If you get an opportunity to see a band here get those tickets booked!

I love this venue. It’s got a lot of history and is small enough to feel a little bit intimate in comparison to the bigger venues. It has hardly changed a bit for years, apart from being a bit spruced up over the years. It’s in the heart of Camden so there’s always somewhere to go after the gig and the people that go here are great. It’s a good crack and one of my favourite venues. ‘Ave it!

My daughters brought me here for the first time. One is a very frequent visitor. She loves coming here. Well the food was superb and the service was very very good. The waitress serving us was very attentive and went so far as to helping with the allergy list and remembering later that my daughter has allergy. She went and checked to make sure she could eat what she wanted. Excellent. I really appreciated that.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars — A fantastic night out!
We had an evening meal with drinks at The Blues Restaurant & Bar in Camden, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. We were greeted by Don, who I believe is the maître d’ or the main host at the front door. He was incredibly polite, warm and genuinely thoughtful. At one point, when we stepped away to check out the dancefloor, he even made sure our glasses were covered—something most people wouldn’t think of, but it showed how considerate he was.
Our server Mia was also extremely polite, friendly, and attentive. Another young lady (whose name we didn’t catch) looked after us as well—she was an Oriental girl wearing amazing Stradivarius jeans, which we couldn’t help but notice! She was just as helpful and lovely.
Despite the place being completely full, the entire team worked so hard and handled everything with a smile. The music, the vibe, the crowd, and the atmosphere were all spot on. The soundtracks were brilliant and gave the whole place an energy that’s honestly a breath of fresh air.
We’ll definitely be back for another night out. Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing night at this restaurant! Jaime and Drew looked after our table and truly made the entire experience unforgettable. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.🤩
Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and everything came out right on time. The service was smooth, the atmosphere was great, and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Huge thanks to Jaime and Drew for making it so special, we’ll definitely be back!❤️

The Blues Kitchen is an amazing spot if you’re looking for great food, fantastic live music and a lively atmosphere in London. One of the good parts is that you don’t need a reservation in advance, and there’s plenty of parking available nearby. The live performances are excellent, with really good music that sets the vibe for the night, the drinks are great, and the service is friendly and efficient. Prices are relatively reasonable for London, especially for the quality offered. The lighting is good and perfect for enjoying the atmosphere, and the location is excellent, making it an ideal place to experience London’s nightlife in a relaxed and fun way. Me and my friends loved it. You can go by yourself or with friends, since it has plenty of space.

Got the beef burger and the crispy chicken sandwich(didn't want the slaw so changed it to tomato),there was some fat and skin on the chicken,it wasn't breast, which wasn't for me tbh.
For drinks: old fashioned(had better),virgin daiquiri, virgin Piña colada(which was nice)
Everything was hot and came quick.
The atmosphere was good, service was good apart from the missing change.
A bit expensive.

What can I say that hasn't been said about this great institution? I love hip hop and the jazz cafe always brings the talent. I've been here so many times, I know this place intimately.
If your favourite artist is in town and they're performing in the jazz cafe. You simply have to come, it'll be a sin if you don't.
Jazz cafe is nice and intimate. From any vantage point, you will be able to see the stage and the acoustics are also great.
If you're posh and don't want to mix with the plebs, you can sit upstairs where I'm sure you'll have an excellent view of the stage and performer.
I've always enjoyed my time at the jazz cafe. I can't emphasize enough how lovely this place is. If you live in London and you're a lover of life music. You have to come to the jazz cafe.

If you’re looking for the coolest venue going in London with insane vibes, chilled crowds, great food and amazing drinks — look no further than The Jazz Cafe in Camden. A true London institution since it opened in 1990 (over 35 years in the same iconic Camden Town spot!), this place consistently delivers unforgettable nights of music and atmosphere that keep me coming back again and again.
From the moment you walk in, the energy is electric — it’s intimate, vibrant, and buzzing without ever feeling chaotic. Over the decades, this legendary space has played host to some of the biggest and most respected names across jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop and world music — from Amy Winehouse, D’Angelo, Roy Ayers and The Roots to Bobby Womack, Adele and countless other icons.
But it’s not just history — it’s experience. The crowd is always relaxed and engaged, the acoustics intimate and immersive, and every show feels like you’re part of something special. Personally, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing two Nujabes tributes performed by the insanely talented Stompysplayground here — and each time it was a beautiful, almost religious experience that I’ll never forget.
The vibe upstairs is perfect for dining and watching the show from a table, while the downstairs standing crowd gives you an up-close and full-on gig experience. On the food and drink front, don’t sleep on the triple-picked chicken and the jerk chicken — absolute must-orders — washed down with a Burnt Pear Old Fashioned and a Spiced and Stormy for the perfect soundtrack to your evening.
In short: highly recommended for locals, visitors, music lovers and foodies alike. Whether you’re there for the next big act or a deep-cut tribute night, The Jazz Cafe is hands-down one of London’s best live music venues and social experiences. Get down there you won’t regret it! 😎🎶🍗🍸

Jazz Cafe is a fantastic cozy venue to see great artists up close. The intimate setting makes every performance feel personal and immersive. If possible, book a seat in the restaurant area, as there are very few seats downstairs and it fills up quickly. Great atmosphere, great sound, and a brilliant spot for live music lovers.

If you thought it couldn’t get any better, the new menu launch last week proves otherwise. Every dish we tried felt thoughtfully reimagined — bold flavours, beautiful presentation, and combinations that genuinely surprised us in the best way. The kitchen has clearly raised the bar again, and it shows in every bite.
The updated selection strikes that perfect balance between comforting favourites like miso cod and exciting new additions prawn dumplings and tacos. There’s a real confidence in the cooking vibrant, well-seasoned, and plated with care.
The atmosphere remains just as special warm, lively, and effortlessly stylish and the service continues to be polished yet welcoming. Tommy was really great with my dad considering he is deaf and his English isn’t perfect Tommy still managed to make it super enjoyable for us.It all comes together to create an experience that feels fresh but still familiar.
If you haven’t seen what’s new yet, this is your sign. The latest dishes deserve to be tasted and sooner rather than later.

I booked an accessible area ticket for my mum who is a wheelchair user - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. A ramp was produced to get us in and a small area had been roped off beside the stage, with a fully accessible toilet less than 10 steps away.
There was also a friendly security guard in our area which was reassuring as the event we went to was sold out so it was very busy. If you have a physical disability you can be confident that the venue will take care of you. Just make sure to book everything in advance via email and arrive when doors open so they can get you in safely.
Thank you to all at Jazz Cafe.

An Absolutely Authentic Spanish Gem in Camden
We had a fantastic evening meal at Jamon Jamon last night. From start to finish, the experience was brilliant.
We were warmly greeted by the manager, Isabel, who was polite, kind, and incredibly helpful. She guided us through the menu, offering great advice on choosing tapas and main dishes.
We tried a selection of dishes: the Pan con Tomate, prawns with garlic and chilli, prawns in white wine and chilli, and cod pieces in batter with aioli. Every single plate was delicious, full of flavour, and felt genuinely authentic. Having recently returned from Spain, I can honestly say the food here was not just a match, but in some cases even better than what we had there. The jamon, in particular, was exceptional.
We finished with the almond cake, which was the perfect sweet end to the meal.
The portion sizes are generous, offering really good value for money. The whole experience was so positive that we will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for true Spanish flavours in London, look no further! Highly recommended.

Went here very last minute with little researching and thought it was excellent. Great food. We started with just over 2 dishes each but then did decide to order some more so maybe closer to 3 each and was about £50 a head with some drinks and some having dessert. Not the cheapest but could be worse. Most importantly the food was great. Can recommend the house Rioja too.

Excellent pub with great music on and fantastic vegan food! LD's Kitchen came up as a recommendation on Insta and I've been wanting to try this food ever since! I'd recommend coming hungry if you're going to try and sample everything like we did, we were defeated but very satisfied!
Plus the pub itself is really cool and the staff are great too!

Went here for a friend's birthday and for my first time in this particular rock bar running at full tilt on a busy Friday it still felt really comfortable and friendly. Bar staff were great. I wandered in feeling like Axl when he got off the bus in the Welcome to the Jungle video with the straw in his teeth, completely overwhelmed and a sense my anxiety would kick in but, within maybe 5 minutes, I felt completely at ease, no shots necessary. All it took was cold beer, rock n roll and good people.

Amazing place for metalheads and alt people! Although it's close to the underground station there are not many tourists, they have a huge variety of drinks, friendly stuff, great ambience and amazing food (all vegan)! Concerts are in a separate room upstairs so you can enjoy a drink in the bar all the time.
N Lacrima - 10 months ago
Large rock/metal bar tucked on a Camden side street with a small music venue upstairs.
Good lively but chilled atmosphere, though the low lighting and loud music can make choosing a drink a bit of a challenge. The staff are great.
The upstairs venue is tiny with a very low stage. So it can be difficult to see much. Sound is fantastic. Limited number of gender neutral toilets, so be prepared to queue.

As a 60+ year old metal fan, this pub is heaven
Easily my favourite pub of all time.
The beer is excellent and not too badly priced , the atmosphere and music fantastic and really like seeing my bands upstairs
Have been here numerous years for Desertfest and other great gigs like Karkara
Will be returning multiple times this year for more unbridled 🤩

Great little pub, lovely and quiet away from the manic high street. £6 for a Stella which isn’t too bad for London prices. Great music!

Wetherspoons in Camden Town is a solid spot for affordable food and drinks in a lively area. The building has a unique character, and there’s plenty of space to sit, both indoors and out. Service is usually quick, even when it's busy. Great selection of beers at reasonable prices. It's not fancy, but it's reliable and perfect for a casual meet-up before exploring Camden Market.

Great pub by the river. I’d never been to The Spoons in Camden, but what a great find. Less than £10 for a round of two drinks, and right by the lock, you can’t go wrong. Charlie was amazing! She was running around like noone’s business clearing tables and all sorts. Her service was top notch. I’m going back there for sure!

We really enjoyed our dinner at this place. It took the extra spicy chicken meal, absolute banger. Only problem is, rice doesn't come with the food in the first place. You have to order it, that extra make the hole a bit expensive.
But I assure you try this restaurant out it's delicious !

I ordered takeaway and when I got home I discovered that an item was missing. We called the restaurant and they were generous enough to bring the missing item to my home along with an extra item free of charge! The food was excellent as well! I ordered the chicken beliram and was delighted to find that it was the perfect level of spicy, despite the fact that I forgot to specify the level of spiciness when I placed the order. The takeaway order was well packed and I thought the interior of the restaurant was warm and inviting, so I plan to take my gf on a date here soon. She recommended this restaurant to me stating that she’s been ordering takeaway from it for awhile now and it’s her favorite Indian restaurant in Camden. I’m inclined to agree with her!

Had a lovely lunch with the girls just before Christmas. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a festive, cozy atmosphere. The food was good and well presented, though a little on the pricey side. Overall, a nice spot for a special occasion

The food was AMAZING!! Tasted and felt very authentic, from the meze to the mains and the lovely Greek service.
Taramasalata is a MUST — best we’ve ever had. Had the lamb chops and was delicious!
Only thing is it’s a small place so can get cramped and a bit loud. However still a great place to go for special occasions or any occasion really!

The Best Greek Cypriot Restaurant in London!
I’ve been coming to Daphne’s for a few years now and I’m never disappointed. It’s truly one of the last classic retro Greek Cypriot Restaurants around. The atmosphere and service is very warm, welcoming and full of character. The food is amazing from the starters to the desserts, always made with fresh and high quality ingredients. A simple homemade menu that you’ll never get tired of!
Would highly recommend to come here, just remember to book in advance!
