Great location - we walked everywhere to see parks, major landmarks, shopping, dining. Front desk staff is the biggest part of our experience. We arrived early and they helped us multiple times throughout the day. They were friendly and attentive. We took an upgrade on the room and it was quite nice. Breakfast was included and way beyond expectations for what you would get with a free meal. The hotel bar was nice / friendly environment. Overall, it was a great value. We’ll be back.

For the price, this hotel is not worth it. We were told our minibar was stocked and free of charge but it wasn’t. Ours also wasn’t working. The two waters that were in there were warm. We called and they sent a maintenance person who said he’d be right back with a replacement but he never showed. We were never told about an airport shuttle upon check-in and when we asked about it the next day, the check-in rep said we needed to request it the day prior. But who knew that? The air conditioning is also bad. We didn’t expect a really cold room but we did expect comfortable. Finally, we requested a late check-out and was granted one at noon, but they called us after 11 and told us we had to check out at 11. When I explained we had been granted one until noon by the desk representative, he said it wasn’t in the system. Not my problem and I wasn’t lying about it! I’d never stay here again. Service is really, really bad from our experience.

First the good: This is a beautiful hotel! The decor and ambiance are great! The restaurant, food and staff are top notch. The location was exactly where we needed to be. Walking distance to the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, and Trafalgar Square and right on the Direct Line and Charing Cross Stations.
Now for the not so good: Maybe it was because we came from the US but we were far from impressed but the rooms in this hotel. The rooms were the smallest I’ve ever experienced. My husband and I (6’ & 5’8”) were too long for the bed. There was exactly 8” of space between the bed and the wall to walk to the restroom. It was necessary to walk sideways. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows very warn, and the shower drain was plugged. We did let the housekeepers know however the clog did not get resolved.
I don’t think we would stay again.

Right in the middle of everything. The location of this hotel was great. The service was exceptional. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and was pleasantly delightedly. One caveat. There is a tube station right next to the hotel and on the other side are small shop; where late at night, there may be people lingering about that probably should not be there. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Wonderful hotel. Great service, staff also. Restaurant and bar really nice and food and drinks so good. Concierge and customer service the best. I left some sentimental jewelry by accident and they recovered, shipped it to me and were so very nice about it. HONEST people! Location so close to Embankment Station to get just about anywhere easily within a couple of stops. Lots of things to see, places to shop and people watch. Cannot rave about them too much. Will stay there again and highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the meal here in a comfortable and contemporary yet still period feeling venue. Cocktails were great but a slightly limited selection. The food had great portions and was perfect in every way and the waiter was friendly and offered great menu advice.

I have used this restaurant often. 5 star review for the team. However, two very terrible ladies, both from India have us our first unacceptable Experience on July 7, 2024.
The poor treatment we got from the ladies was received from the two bartenders on duty between 12:15-12:20 AM on July 7, 2024.
This incident occurred at the Boyd restaurant and bar, which is situated within Club Quarters.
As we approached the bar, one of the bartenders, a lady, began shaking her head and smiling while informing us that the bar was closed. This was done in a dismissive manner that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, she then proceeded to walk away, leaving her colleague behind who openly laughed at us.
I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but this experience was particularly upsetting. The dismissive and unprofessional behavior displayed by these two individuals is unacceptable and does not align with the standards I have come to expect from your establishment. Their conduct not only tarnished our evening but also left us with a very negative impression of the restaurant and bar.
It is crucial that such staff members do not continue to represent your organization, as their behavior could severely impact the reputation of both the restaurant and the hotel.
Based on this experience, I regret to say that I will not be returning to the restaurant, and this incident may also affect my continued patronage of the hotel which houses Boyd.

Lovely place to go for a meal and a drink. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great too. The staff is very helpful and the place is never very full so it's great if you don't know where to go but want a good meal. They have a great wine selection too. I see a lot of people having dinner here before going to see a show. Highly recommended

My husband's says this is 3.8 stars, the food is good, the service was pleasant, the atmosphere is pretty typical of a hotel restaurant at this level. We've eaten all over the world, so I think this is a fair representation.

I had a wonderful experience at Boyd's Grill & Wine Bar. The waiter was so attentive even though the restaurant was short staffed on the night I dined there. Service was fast despite that! Food was tasty. Decor and ambiance were noteworthy.

Great stop after a log day of sightseeing. The steak and Ale pie and fish n chips were great. You order drinks at the bar, and there was a good selection. The pub was full of football fans watching the World Cup games. Typical festive pub atmosphere. It was a bit of a wait for the food, but they were very busy.

Lovely pub with a good selection of drinks and a good menu with reasonable prices.
The pub had looked busy when we entered as it was lunchtime. However, we ventured downstairs, where it was cool and a lot quieter.
Food came reasonably quickly and was well cooked and nice 😋

Friendly staff, nice clean pub with great selection of beers and ales. Relaxed atmosphere, nice ti get away from the hustle and bustle of trafalgar square.
They do a good selection of food too but we didn't eat but what we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good!

This place is well located. Very nice pub, they have a variety of beers for those who like to taste different things. Is in a very transited area across from Trafalgar Theatre. Definitely is a touristic place.
Food is very average, nothing wow or even good. The chicken breast I ordered seemed overcooked.
The steak pie is interesting, although the taste wasn’t that good.
Something I liked, is that you pick a table, then order and pay from the bar, they will bring your food to the table. You can add the tip amount that you want, since is not required.

It is a nice old fashioned pub to stop near Trafalgar square. It has two floors. It is kind of touristic pub but food is nice. We went at Saturday and wait for food like 45 minutes and the waitress warned about this. Fish and chips portion was really big and taste was nice. You can grab just a drink and sit in front of the pub by the way. It is a large pub and can work for big groups. It has a menu and there are local pub dishes.

We stayed here for our family vacation to London. This is a great location, and within mins of everything. Very convenient walking distance to major entertainment and food options. The staff here are amazing and helpful. The place is very clean and our entire room was full windows and views! Now, the only issue I had was the bathroom. Fixtures were loose, I needed to tighten the shower head myself. Some of the tiles were cracked, the toilet seat was loose, and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The worst part was that shower controls were very loose and hard to get a temperature every use. Other than that, the bed was very comfortable, we had a lot of closet space and a mini fridge in our room. Across the street, there are amazing options for a quick breakfast, too. And one block up, you will find many options for dining and entertainment.

Incredible customer service! We checked into our room and found that it was a wheelchair accessible room, the AC was not working and it had a strong odor of glue from the renovations. We spoke with the front desk and although they had no rooms to switch us to, the manager arranged for us to go to their sister hotel (only a block away), he walked us down to the room himself to have us check and see if it was satisfactory, then helped us switch over (even offered to help personally with luggage). He arranged for us to have our breakfast for free and sent up a bottle of champagne to our new room. Absolutely fantastic customer service!

Just got back from a trip to London. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, right on the edge of Soho and Trafalgar Square. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. I called in the day before my arrival requested somewhere to leave my luggage as we were arriving early. The lady I spoke to organising for my room to be ready, which it was, so I managed to check in at 8:30am instead of 3pm.
The room was very spacious with a huge bed, and everything else you would expect to see.

The reception staff here was super friendly and helpful. The room itself was big but a bit on the shabby side. The bathroom wasnt very clean with black mold on the tiles and the drain cover popping up but nice walk in shower with good pressure. Even the hallways were a bit shabby. They had signs saying they were upgrading though so might get nicer. It was an amazing location! Super easy to get to all the main sights or main tube stops. Overall would stay again just hope the renovations include fixing up some of the more outdated parts of rooms and cleaning gets better

A nice hotel that close to Trafalgar Square and underground station. Really convenient and comfortable. Staffs were helpful and amenities were sufficiently provided. A bit noisy in the night but cannot complaint with its handy location. Lots of restaurants, bars, and also art performing halls nearby which is a big plus when visiting the city. Pricing was reasonable and a great choice for next biz trip.

We first visited Sherlock Holmes about 15 years ago and decided to return this month for a meal and a couple of pints. As great as we remembered! From the kitschy Sherlock decor and his study to the quality English pub fare to the efficient and warm service upstairs, we were quite pleased with this most recent visit. Shout out to the upstairs dining staff — Natalie, Jo, and Kaitlin — for making our visit perfect! (And a HOT TIP - the kids’ fish & chips is the best value!)

Great pub not far from Charing Cross Station with an awesome surprise upstairs in the dining room....The recreated study of Sherlock Holmes!
Nice vibe and lovely attentive staff, have only ever drank here but as it is a Greene King pub I am sure the food is just as nice as others I have tried!
Good selection of beverages and decorated beautifully inside.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my recent visit to this pub! Occasionally, when I have guests, I include it on my London tour. This time, we stopped for lunch and the traditional British pub food was delicious. Despite its touristy vibe, the service was welcoming, with a good beer selection. Both the Fish & Chips and the Steak and Ale Pie were excellent. It's a great lunch spot for those exploring London's city center.

Great first meal for our first time in England! The Sunday roasts were phenomenal the only thing that could beat it was their amazing service. Our Servers Jo & Nat made us feel so welcome. Definitely will be returning :)

Lovely pub to pop by for drinks or food. As Canadians we are used to our drinks colder. Some of the drinks on tap aren't cold such as one of the ciders I had. Not a huge deal because I was offered ice to add to it but just not temperature I'm used to for drinks. Enjoyed the steak and ale pie. Staff were efficient and friendly.

A lovely traditional pub, uniquely split (linked underground), either side of a quiet passage near Charring Cross. Part of the Hall & Woodhouse chain; the Badger Beers are a refreshing change from Greene King and Fuller’s pubs nearby.
The outdoor space is perfect for fair weather drinking. Staff were friendly and the food looked decent. Well worth seeking out!

The house lager beer is amazing, highly recommend. The atmosphere is like a classic English Pub which is what we were looking for. And the food is really good as well, we had double cheeseburgers.
It’s a really nice pub!

Nice pub, in the heart of London, but off the beaten track. Good array of beers. Goof sausage roll.

It is the only pub divided into two parts on either side of the street. And I think that's what makes this place such a cool atmosphere. A very nice and quiet traditional London pub with good food and a selection of beer.

We went back to.the S&S as part of our 40th anniversary to celebrate many hours there during our courting days! A good range of Badger beer (try the Tanglefoot), we didn't eat but lots were and it looked good with lots of empty plates. Just off the tourist trails so a bit quieter but worth a visit.

This is a very popular pub with real ale drinkers, evidenced by the 10 cask beers and the hundreds of beer mats above the bar. It is a narrow pub with additional seating upstairs. Being near to both Covent Garden and Soho it is ideally located. I was here at 4pm on a Monday afternoon and it was quite busy. There is a designated standing area out back but many drinkers preferred to drink in the street out front. The toilets are upstairs and accessed by a steep, narrow staircase that could prove problematic for the less mobile.

Fabulous pub with a marvellous range of well kept cask beer. Had the Marble Stout myself. Busy every time I've been in here regardless of the time of day. A central London institution. No children allowed. Additional seating upstairs if it is rammed downstairs.

Great little pub. Traditional feel, small and compact yet can fit plenty people inside. Definitely a pub directed for those attending the theatre but that didn't stop me. Fantastic beer and cider selection from various breweries. Fast friendly service. Great character and charm about the place.

This is a fairly famous English pub in London. Well known but still a little off the beaten path. Nice classic feel with an old age style but new beers. A lot of casks for ales. A small area in the main bar with more space on the second story. Nice place to have a pint of ale.

Dinner here a number times previously. This time it was election night.
Had cocktails in adjacent bar prior to dinner, table for three. Had the dinner three course- great value.
Cocktails are very good - standard London hotel price of £20.
Dinner was well priced:2 courses for £39 and three for £45.
Food was generally above average to good.
The green pea volute was very nice as was the lamb cutlet albeit the portion for the lamb was tiny.
Desert of strawberry and lemon Millefeuille was good too- beautifully presented.
Service was very good .
All in all a very pleasant night with good option for food and great cocktails.
Previous review:
A quiet Wednesday evening for them.
Excellent from Start to finish.
We had an amazing sommelier called Selina who was engaging and wonderful to talk to about her knowledge of wine.
The ceviche starter was good as was the chicken mains .both presented beautifully.
Desert of gateau was also very good.
Had the most amazing wines- the amarone and the pipparello.
Will be back next month when the set dinner menu changes.

Our meal here was absolutely stunning and the service was phenomenal. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and did not leave disappointed! We tried the house cured salmon, the ricotta and pine nut ravioli, the pork tenderloin, and the veal, as well as some wine. Everything was exceptional, from the sourdough that came out with an artichoke cream and decadent salted butter, all the way through the mains and the dessert selections offered. There was a small hiccup with the side not arriving with our mains (which wasn’t an issue to begin with.) and our server removed the charge without even being asked. I would return here in a heartbeat and wish to thank all of the staff for making our first meal in London and our wedding anniversary special, and certainly a meal to remember!

You always know what you're going to get with pizza express. The pizzas were tasty and the dough balls were delicious. Great location and nice big, spaced out restaurant. I've taken a star off because the service was very slow, even though there weren't that busy. Our dough balls were also Luke warm by the time they arrived.

Pizza Express mains are always great, no complaint. The service here needs some improvement; staff don't want to help, don't want to make eye contact, and they seem only concerned with strictly their own tables and, I guess, some kind of commissions system. The wrong order was brought out too, and we had to pay extra due to the waiting staff not understanding our order. Nevertheless, it's Pizza Express, so it's still great.

Service was chaotic and reluctant. No one came to the table for over 10 minutes after we sat down and no one wanted to catch h our eye. Our starters arrived after the main, which was missing the salad dressing. Kids menu is good but there was no pasta available, apparently. Pizza was fine and you always know what you’re getting with Pizza Express but the whole experience was loud, chaotic and slow.
