5 Star Rating I stayed from Friday to Sunday with a friend and had an amazing time. Our room was spotlessly clean and it was nice to be welcomed by some chocolate cake and champagne. The bar and restaurant were also lovely, the food is amazing and there's a great atmosphere 👌 The staff here really can't do enough for you, they're always so polite and happy to chat. Ron especially, is an absolute credit to the hotel, he was such a gentleman the entire weekend and was always happy to give us suggestions on places to visit, directions and just have a general chit chat when we were passing through the reception. The location is fantastic, all the main attractions are so close that they're walking distance. It's by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at and I will 100% be staying again in the future

5 Star Rating Ideal location for a west end show visit. We were given a free room upgrade upon checking in and the room was lovely and quiet. All staff were extremely polite and would always greet you walking past. The breakfast was superb. Huge selection and quality was very high, exceeded expectations. Will definitely make this our hotel for future trips into London!

5 Star Rating I haven't even been to this hotel yet and their service has been really impressive. We were having some issues in regards to room reservations for our trip to London this summer and my email found its way to Hally Sal who is a reception manager at the Clermont at Charing Cross. Not only was she timely with her responses, but she was extremely helpful in resolving the situation and has already given my family and I some reassurance that our trip will go smoothly! It will be our first time in Europe and we look forward to visiting and stay at the Clermont this summer 2024!

5 Star Rating Charming historic old British hotel. Breakfast spread is lovely, lunch and dinner options were wonderful. Service staff attentive and friendly. Location is right in the thick of it, easy walking to many places and right next to the national gallery. Pillow menu for your preferences, great water pressure and a rain shower head. The fun of trying to remember how navigate between the two buildings is fun, 😂

3 Star Rating Pros: Great location, nearby main city attractions. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Our room was small, but the bed was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with a variety of options. Cons: The shower was slow to drain, to a point where we had to be careful it didn't overflow, and the temperature turned icy cold within minutes. Additionally, the preauthorization security deposit for our room was charged instead of refunded, so now we have to go through an entire claims process with our bank in order to have it refunded.

4 Star Rating A busy pub at the north end of Whitehall, a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square. Another pub in the Greene King Stable, and a good one too! There is plenty of room being eagerly taken up by the London visitors, all enjoying themselves it appears. Great service and a jolly atmosphere. Plenty of choice both keg and cask, including TT Landlord. Downstairs for more seating. A great place.

5 Star Rating I recently stayed at the Thistle London Trafalgar Square and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Trafalgar Square and all the other major sights. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the reception manager, Prince, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay. My room was clean and spacious, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the view of the city from my window. The hotel's amenities were also excellent. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety of delicious options. The bar was also a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend the Thistle London Trafalgar Square to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in London. The staff, the location, and the amenities were all top-notch. I would definitely stay there again!

3 Star Rating Great location located a couple of minutes walk from Trafalgar Square and all the west end has to offer. Loads of restaurants and cafes, we particularly enjoyed the Thai Square. The Hotel was nice enough. The staff were helpful and polite but my main disappointment was the room. It was a standard double so my expectations were realistic, however I was surprised by the bathrooms shabby state. It desperately needed a new suite, tiles etc. Other than that the room was fine for a two night break.

2 Star Rating Excellent location but absolutely awful hotel experience. We had a very mixed experience with staff, some very friendly but most were apathetic and clearly not wanting to be there which resulted in poor service. The rooms were very dated and had issues. One room we stayed in had no hot water, one was draughty with howling winds all night, whilst all of them experienced the same “surprise” wake up calls due to false emergency alarms MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE WEEK. Apparently an issue exists with their fire system. To top it off, housekeeping did an appalling job often forgetting to resupply amenities and clear away rubbish or dirty cups. Get your act together Thistle!

2 Star Rating Dingy, stuffy rooms with no opening windows. Air con was good but so loud with a squealing noise it kept me awake for ages. Walls paper thin you could hear the room next door talking and banging around and every door closing on the corridor. Worst sleep I've had in ages. Bathroom smelled stuffy and gross. breakfast was ok, nothing special but the service was good overall. I won't ever go back.

5 Star Rating Sherlock Holmes pub is a definite must see while in London, especially if you’re a fan of this fictional character. The pub is themed in the Victorian era and has an atmosphere and feel that throws you back in time. The pub is downstairs and the restaurant is upstairs. As you ascend the stairs be sure to look to your right at the recreated room of Sherlock Holmes’ famous Baker Street flat. It contains memorabilia from the show and is nice to look at. If you plan to have dinner here, I highly recommend making a reservation. Unfortunately it was crowded during our visit and we were unable to get a table. However, we thoroughly enjoyed having drinks downstairs with friends. The pub is located between the Embankment and Charing Cross tube stations which is also near many London attractions including Trafalgar Square. A definite must see!

5 Star Rating The best cider pub in London, and it’s also got a really cool setting right next to Trafalgar Square on the Chandos. Staff members are also very knowledgeable if you have any questions or would like to try a sample. It is one of my favourite pubs in London. My only dampner is that they allow people to book tables upstairs. I feel for classic pubs like this that shouldn't be allowed! If in London, pop along, you will not be disappointed.

5 Star Rating Went to Northall resturant for a business dinner. Great fine dinning resturant with prices to match, but definetly worth it! For starters we had bread with butter and I had Hand Cut Lake District Beef Tartare - without a doubt one of the best tartares I had in while. Thus was followed by the Grilled Iberico Pork Loin, cooked medium and moist with mash potatos. For dessert an amazing merengue and stramberry dessert. Wines were also great, in par with the quality of the resturant. For business or special events this is the resturant to go.

5 Star Rating Our meal here was absolutely stunning and the service was phenomenal. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and did not leave disappointed! We tried the house cured salmon, the ricotta and pine nut ravioli, the pork tenderloin, and the veal, as well as some wine. Everything was exceptional, from the sourdough that came out with an artichoke cream and decadent salted butter, all the way through the mains and the dessert selections offered. There was a small hiccup with the side not arriving with our mains (which wasn’t an issue to begin with.) and our server removed the charge without even being asked. I would return here in a heartbeat and wish to thank all of the staff for making our first meal in London and our wedding anniversary special, and certainly a meal to remember!

Staff were friendly but forgot a few items of our order, and we were told that the chefs ‘forgot’ to cook one of the plates we ordered so one meal has nearly been finished by the time the other arrived.
