5 Star Rating One of the best places to stay during the holidays. Incredible location walkable to everything - SoHo, Covent Gardens, Big Ben - or an easy tube next door. Staff is lovely (a special shoutout to James with great recs and beyond helpful) and rooms are spacious. Can’t recommend this place more every time you’re in town.

5 Star Rating We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon tea at The Clermont London, Charing Cross, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well looked after. The food was exceptional. The scones were some of the best we’ve ever had warm, fluffy, and beautifully paired with clotted cream and jam. The chocolate cake was rich, smooth, and incredibly indulgent. Every sweet treat on the stand was crafted with such care and tasted phenomenal. You could really feel the passion and skill behind each bite. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Alin and Chef Amit for creating such a delicious and memorable selection. Their talent really shines through in every detail. We also want to express our gratitude to Konrad and Andrei, who were absolutely lovely. Their attentiveness, kindness, and constant smiles made the whole experience even more special. They checked on us throughout, ensuring everything was perfect, and their warm energy added so much to our afternoon. Overall, it was a delightful experience from start to finish beautiful food, a relaxing atmosphere, and an incredible team who made us feel truly valued. We highly recommend The Clermont for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable afternoon tea in London.

4 Star Rating Lovely hotel with superb Cleanliness and amenities in the room. We love the traditional feeling. The staff professionalism could have been better. When we went to check-in someone was drinking a Frappuccino at the desk and another was chomping on a muffin 🤣. On day of departure we called to extend check out for 30 mins and they kindly accepted but 10 mins before we were due to leave the receptionist was knocking on the door telling us check out was 11:00. The way she spoke was like we were being inconvenient.

5 Star Rating I visited The Claremont at Platform 7 yesterday after my sister’s graduation, and we had such an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, but what truly made the evening special was the exceptional service we received. A huge thank you to Chagor, Anna, and Conrad, who were all incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful throughout our visit. I had requested a dessert plate with a congratulatory message for my sister, and to my surprise, they had already prepared a beautiful plate in advance. What made it even more touching was that they gifted it to us without charging. It was such an unexpected gesture and made the celebration feel even more meaningful. The food was fantastic, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you to the whole team at The Claremont for making our evening so memorable. We will definitely be returning!

5 Star Rating Stay there 2 weeks ago. Excellent staffs you have there from the front to the house keeping. Room were clean and comfy. Daniel made our stay extra nice because of his friendliness towards us. Location is good as you can get food and groceries very easily. And it’s a very strategic location The only down side is the lift that was really slow but one of the the lift were under maintenance, so probably that’s why.

5 Star Rating I was deeply attracted when I came to this restaurant for the first time! The traditional British fish and chips are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chips are golden and crispy, and the fish is tender and boneless. Dipped in the special sauce, it's extremely delicious. The restaurant is simply and generously decorated, clean and tidy. The waiters are very polite and will clean the table in a timely manner, providing attentive service. It's worth a try!

2 Star Rating I was disappointed with several aspects of my visit. Firstly, the food did not match the quality or presentation depicted in the photos posted in the reviews by the pub, which was concerning given the limited number of other customer reviews. Furthermore, I found the service to be very poor. It appeared that employees preferred to stay behind the bar, and there were no dedicated servers. Guests were required to order and collect every item from the bar. Overall, the food itself was subpar. Note: If you want superb drinks, food and service to match from a Pub got to "The Larrik" you will thank me I promise.

The current hotel (TRAFALAGR) is much more spacious and pleasant, and it feels like a real hotel in the hart of london. Minutes walk to everywhere. There were a few small things, like a loose bathroom door handle and hot water that sometimes takes a long time to arrive. But nothing serious

5 Star Rating This is hands down one of the best pubs in London, and what makes it even more unique is that it’s literally split into two buildings with a tunnel underground connecting them—a quirky detail that adds so much charm to the visit. The atmosphere is stunning, with a beautifully traditional interior that feels warm and inviting. It’s the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re after a quiet pint or a cozy evening with friends. The vibe strikes just the right balance of historic character and relaxing comfort. The food here is a real highlight. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and great value for money—elevating the experience far beyond your standard pub fare. From hearty mains to lighter bites, every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. The beer selection is excellent, with plenty of variety on tap, and the top shelf spirits are equally impressive. All in all, this pub is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic character, excellent food, and a fantastic drinking experience in the heart of London. Definitely a very easy 5*****

5 Star Rating I can fully understand why The Ship & Shovel is in the Good Beer Guide, it's a cracker. Selling a full range of Badger Beers, this is a welcome change to the many London pubs who sell Timothy Taylor Landlord! You can move between the two bars, yes, you have to see it to believe it. Plenty of seating and on a nice day plenty of outdoor standing area. Food is served but this really is a cracking drinkers pub.

5 Star Rating I had a really pleasant experience at The Chandos in London and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and welcoming pub atmosphere. The place felt warm and friendly, with staff who were approachable and happy to help. It’s the kind of environment where you can comfortably enjoy a drink, chat with friends, or simply unwind after a long day exploring the city. One thing to note is that if you want to order food, you’ll need to head upstairs. This wasn’t a problem at all and actually added a bit of character to the experience. The upstairs area is spacious and comfortable, making it a nice spot to sit down and enjoy a proper meal away from the main bar area. The beer selection is impressive, with lots of options to choose from, whether you prefer classic ales, lagers, or something a bit different. It’s a great place for beer lovers who enjoy having variety rather than just a couple of standard choices. As for the food, I was genuinely satisfied. The quality was good, everything tasted fresh, and the portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. It felt like good value for money, especially considering the central London location. Overall, The Chandos offers a great combination of friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, solid food, and an excellent range of beers. It’s the kind of place you remember positively after your visit. I will definitely make a point of stopping by again on my next trip to London.

5 Star Rating It was a rainy day in London, and it was a lunch time. I decided that fish and chips would also be very traditional. This pub has 2 separate parts. The firs floor to drink, the second floor with a separate entrance to eat. The food was very good. The only inconvenience was that you need to pay at the register first and and then they will bring you a food. The atmosphere is great, I was near the fire place. The view from the window was spectacular. I love this pub.
