5 Star Rating Went here back in July with my partner to treat her for her birthday. It was very expensive but WOW! Beautiful food. The only thing i wish i had known was that accepting their offer of water to the table adds £5.50 to the bill. A bit naughty but would have asked for water either way. We received free bread and butter for the table. The bread was homemade and tasted fresh. We skipped starters and went straight for the mains. We both had a sirloin. I had truffle parmesan chips and my partner had cauliflower cheese. Steaks cooked to perfection (medium). Tender and flavourful, with a bit of smoke. Chips were some of the nicest i have ever had. 8 pounds it quite expensive for it but still very worth it. Cauliflower cheese was also very nice. My partner had 2 scoops of ice cream. The ice cream was flavourful. I had a chocolate bomb. Absolutely devine. As it was my partners birthday, they made a small plate with chocolate writing with a few decorations. This was free of charge. Staff were perfect. Pretty high service charge but as far as i was concerned they had deserved it from the first minute to last.

5 Star Rating The West End Ivy is an ideal restaurant while out for a show or two. Making reservations on OpenTable guarantees seating. It is so nice to be greeted by a doorman, and the ambiance is classic and refined. Service is impeccable. We opted for standard seating, but next time, I would love to sit at the bar as well. Either are good choices. We chose the Ivy's classic starters and mains, which were excellent. Having ample time, we also chose coffee and dessert. All in all, our dinner was a great evening out.

5 Star Rating This was one of the best random decisions we had on a night out with the family on a Monday night, they were child friendly and wheel chair friendly. We were served by a kind and gentle lady named Claudia. She gave us the best customer services I have received in a very long time. She was so friendly, attentive. Kept checking on us and my niece even gave her a hug which is a big deal because she doesn’t like to interact with people. Message to Claudia, you are an amazing. Thank you.

5 Star Rating Dining at Hawksmoor Seven Dials was a remarkable experience that beautifully showcased the restaurant’s commitment to honest, ingredient-driven cooking. The evening began with roasted bone marrow, luxuriously rich and silky, spread over perfectly toasted sourdough. The combination of deep umami and caramelized sweetness immediately set the tone for what would be an unforgettable meal. The baked scallops that followed were exquisite—tender, delicately briny, and crowned with a vibrant herb crust that brought both freshness and depth to every bite. The star of the evening was the steak, cooked with absolute precision. Its charred exterior gave way to a succulent and juicy center, revealing Hawksmoor’s mastery of sourcing and technique. Every slice delivered a perfect balance of texture and flavor, elevated further by the house sauces that complemented without overpowering. The meal concluded with a warm sticky toffee pudding, drenched in a buttery caramel sauce and topped with velvety vanilla ice cream—comforting, nostalgic, and perfectly indulgent. From start to finish, Hawksmoor delivered an experience that celebrated quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and genuine hospitality. It is a restaurant I would eagerly return to, and one I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone seeking truly memorable food in London.

4 Star Rating We had dinner at Hawksmoor Seven Dials and overall the experience was solid. The roasted bone marrow was nicely prepared, with good flavour and texture. The beef carpaccio was light and well balanced, with the rocket and parmesan complementing the dish. The rib-eye steak was cooked properly and had a good depth of flavour. The lobster was fresh, and the herbs and lemon worked well with it. Portions were straightforward and the presentation was clean. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and comfortable, and the service was polite and attentive without being intrusive. Everything arrived in good time, and the staff made sure we had what we needed. I should also mention that their cocktails were also top notch. In general, Hawksmoor Seven Dials delivered a well executed meal in a pleasant setting.

5 Star Rating What can I even say about Hawksmoor that hasn’t already been said a thousand times? It was, as always, absolutely outstanding. Christmas Eve lunch here was one of the yummiest meals I’ve had in a long time - perfectly cooked steak, that amazing Full Fat Old Fashioned and that signature Hawksmoor vibe. The whole experience just hits different. I would genuinely kill to have a Hawksmoor back home in Hamburg. Please open one there! 🙏 Huge thanks to the team for making Christmas Eve feel extra special. You lot are legends. Will be back the next time I’m in London - no question. 🔥🥩🥃

4 Star Rating Hawksmoor Seven Dials is just a short walk from Covent Garden tube station, on the corner just past Pineapple Dance Studio and the soon-to-open Guinness bar. The front desk staff were a little cold (unfortunately as their main job is to welcome people in!) but our main server, Amanda, was lovely. She outlined what was available when we explained that we would, ideally, like to share a really juicy steak. She recommended prime rib, which at around 1kg (and a cost of 130 pounds) was more than enough for the three of us. She recommended medium rare to bring out the flavour of the fat and I have to say it was prepared perfectly. The meat was high quality and truly delicious - perhaps the best steak we've had in London so far though we haven't visited super high end places like Smith & Wollensky. It wasn't as good as Japanese wagyu that we've had in Asia but it was really good. We ordered bone marrow & onions with Amanda giving us some extra bread, which was delicious. The garlic mushrooms were among the best we've ever had - the seasoning was extraordinary. Perhaps the fries could have been a bit more generous considering that we ordered a sharing steak. The one disappointment was the drinks. They had some specials on offer that were priced very affordably but they tasted little more than funky fruit juice while the bloody mary that I ordered was remarkably small and watery given the price of 13.75 pounds.

5 Star Rating If you miss summer and have a need for Tapas in the middle of winter, this is definitely a great place for it :) 1) the service: Henty and Delia were very attentive and friendly! 2) the food: Garlic flatbread (excellently buttery), pan con tomate (actually packing loads of flavourful tomato), prawns (felt fresh and juicy), octopus (very fun presentation), patatas bravas (I think with manchego cheese on top), duck (perfectly cooked and nice jus) and broccoli tempura (also delicious). The dessert was a highlight and definitely one of the nicest I've had lately: blood orange tart & sorbet! So delicate, yet so full of flavour. Drinks: we had white, on the cheaper side, but still good quality. At £50 per person for 3 tapas each, a glass of wine and shared dessert, it is probably on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it, as the service and food/drinks quality are extremely good :)

5 Star Rating I had dinner with friends in November and I was impressed with the food, the friendly and warm services and so I took my husband for his birthday dinner here. The oldest restaurant in London with classic decor and loving the atmosphere too! The waitresses were very attentive and super professional! 5 Star Rating An absolute treasure of an establishment. Unassuming from the outside, you are met with a beautiful historic interior draped in charming, characterful furnishings that paint a rich narrative of its history as Londons oldest restaurant. Rules excels in every way regarding food and service - wait staff were the most professional I’ve ever experienced in London, truly exemplary in manner and courtesy. Food and drinks were excellent - expertly prepared traditional British fare made to be perfectly indulgent yet still elegant in presentation. Very much enjoyed the signature black velvet made all the more luxurious served in a silver tankard, and my dining party’s classic cocktails were also pristinely balanced. Would most certainly recommend, and the price was well worth every penny given you can pay so much more in central London for mediocre food and service. Bravo rules!

4 Star Rating I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rules, one of London's oldest and most iconic restaurants, and a favorite of Downton Abbey fans. The moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a bygone era of old English glamour - the red velvet, dark woods, and bird motifs are a feast for the eyes. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure everything was just right. As for the food, our appetizers (Duck Rillettes and Cream of Celeriac Soup) were a bit of a letdown - a tad lacking in seasoning and flavor, which was surprising given the restaurant's reputation. However, the main courses more than made up for it! The Chicken, Leek & Mushroom Pie was a highlight, with its golden crust and juicy filling, paired perfectly with the English apple brandy sauce and crispy bacon. The Roast Breast of Pheasant was equally impressive, with tender meat and rich, earthy flavors. And let's not forget the creamy Gratin Dauphinois on the side - sublime! We also enjoyed the Black Velvet cocktail, a delicious blend of champagne and Guinness. Overall, a wonderful experience that I'd definitely repeat, especially for the Chicken Pie. Hopefully, the appetizers will get a flavor boost soon. Still, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for a taste of London's rich history and culinary excellence.

4 Star Rating A friendly place with a lot of friendly service and vibes, the best thing we ordered was the nachos and churros, the tacos were okay - unfortunately ours were really small (Street tacos) I would not recommend ordering this one, instead order the 3 piece tacos if you come here. The cocktails were great, especially the ones with passion fruit if you're into sweet/tangy drinks. The table where we sat was noticeably low which made it slightly awkward to eat on but apart from that a nice experience.

2 Star Rating We went there because apparently they have awards for best margaritas in London... Well let me tell you that it's all loads of crap. If you call that best margaritas then you haven't tasted nice ones at all. Food was below average to say the least, look like a loads of bloob on a plate. One of our friends got diarrhoea after eating that. At least portions were decent. Atmosphere is more like a train station canteen than a Covent Garden restaurant. 3 Star Rating Some fine dining places chase (Michelin) stars, this one puts them on the ceiling and walls! Their social media team work very hard to make sure you know about the decorations inside and these are as bountiful as the videos would suggest, but then this isn't a museum, it is a restaurant. And so we come to the food... I went on a Saturday and had the tasting menu and wine pairing. Both were lovely and well executed. Yet both felt like not enough thought had gone into them. Perhaps a little less time erecting a life sized polar bear(!), and a bit more time refining a more complicated menu would have been better in my opinion. Having said that, this will be a perfectly good tasting menu for most, and the price is very good. We all had a very enjoyable evening with a special mention to the very warm staff. All I would add is that it would benefit from a bar area for us to enjoy some drinks. We were ushered from the table after 2 hours and then placed in a very small and unwelcoming area which meant we preferred to go somewhere else afterwards. But when the restaurant looks this good, we would have happily stayed for more drinks!

5 Star Rating Best pub in London ever! Due to good reviews, I decided to have lunch at The Porterhouse in Covent Garden, my favourite district in London. Pub is huge and there is live music in evenings. They have a wide selection of beer, included craft beer; I described my favourite beer and waiter suggested a beer I really appreciated. I had fish and chips for lunch: good taste and sauces were fantastic (the yellow one, in particular). Most important thing: it's not the usual pub for tourists. There is a wide selection of beers and ciders on tap, there is a cocktail menu and there is plenty of options in the fridges and spirits behind the bar. The barman was brilliant in helping me chose a beer to have, he knew his stuff and recommend a brilliant beer for me to have. I will come back here next time I’m in the area, this is an excellent pub!

4 Star Rating Different type of pub that is a great place for a pint while exploring Covent Garden. It was established as the London showcase for the Porterhouse brewery, which continues to be family- owned and operated. The pub is located on Maiden Lane, on the site where the famous painter J.M.W. Turner was born in 1775.

5 Star Rating I'm not sure why, but I genuinely believe these are the best classic burgers around. There's also a great selection of beers, which makes it such a delightful place to keep coming back to. I really enjoy my visits here!

5 Star Rating We quite enjoyed our lunch here! I had the steak and ale pie and it was very good! My parents both had fish and chips and were very pleased! We had a round of drinks, and enjoyed our lunch! Very classic British pub. It was very busy and service was a tad bit slow, but it was understandable due to the lunch rush. The bartenders were efficient and quick. Great spot for an easy and good meal!

4 Star Rating One of my fav pubs so cosy and a great buz. It was super busy but we were able to get a table and order a soup of the day which was delicious. I also really liked that they have a great wine by the glass selection including ones that normally are only sold by the bottle.

3 Star Rating This pub is lovely on the outside. It was extremely busy inside and the eating area is crammed at the back. We booked and were given a table but halfway through eating were asked to move tablea to accommodate a larger group. The staff were a little confused by the menu as to what was gluten free and this took a little while to sort. We had to ask for our plates to be taken away and our drinks took a long time to arrive. I would probably not go here again

5 Star Rating The Salisbury is a great pub with traditional decor and a nice vibe. Part of Greene King, they have a wide range of real ales and beers, and serve food (although I've not tried any here, but if it's the same as other Greene King pubs, it'll be very nice). It has a great atmosphere inside, plus there are a few tables and chairs outside, and they even offer the ability to order drinks through their app for table service. Great location in between Leicester Square and Covent Garden.

5 Star Rating We visited London past Wednesday and found this gem by chance. Straight from the door, we knew “Yeap this is the place “. Great Christmas decorations and smiles from the staff. Vibe and service were second to none!! Especially from Agnieszka, she really went above and beyond to please us. If you are looking to pop for a pint or 2 bottles of wine- like us- 🤭or tasty food , this is the place X
