Well worth a visit to the one that started it all, somewhere I've wanted to visit for a long time.
Relatively small by modern standards inside but that just adds to the busy brasserie ambience. Exquisite design and layout with the bar down the middle with counter seating and normal tables every side (toilets near the entrance).
Service excellent even through they were busy. Food exactly what you would expect - we enjoyed the fish and chips and pan fried sea bass. Deserts the classic chocolate bombe, rum baba and creme brulee (although would have preferred this a bit more crunchy on the top).
Its a busy classic London brasserie and I completely recommend it!

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I loved it. The place is beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere and soft music that allows you to relax and enjoy the moment.
I came with friends for lunch and everything was delicious. But what I would especially like to highlight is the service, particularly from Erik at the bar. He is a charming person, very professional, kind and always attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. His cocktails were amazing.
You can really see that the team works hard to give guests a great experience.
I will definitely come back again, next time with my family.
I highly recommend it to everyone. A very, very good place here in this part of London.

Went here back in July with my partner to treat her for her birthday. It was very expensive but WOW! Beautiful food.
The only thing i wish i had known was that accepting their offer of water to the table adds £5.50 to the bill. A bit naughty but would have asked for water either way.
We received free bread and butter for the table. The bread was homemade and tasted fresh.
We skipped starters and went straight for the mains. We both had a sirloin. I had truffle parmesan chips and my partner had cauliflower cheese.
Steaks cooked to perfection (medium). Tender and flavourful, with a bit of smoke.
Chips were some of the nicest i have ever had. 8 pounds it quite expensive for it but still very worth it.
Cauliflower cheese was also very nice.
My partner had 2 scoops of ice cream. The ice cream was flavourful.
I had a chocolate bomb. Absolutely devine.
As it was my partners birthday, they made a small plate with chocolate writing with a few decorations. This was free of charge.
Staff were perfect. Pretty high service charge but as far as i was concerned they had deserved it from the first minute to last.

I went for a solo lunch. I didn’t have a reservation. They offered me the bar for sitting, but I declined and preferred a table. The female host said there were no tables, luckily her gentlemen colleague overheard and sat me at a table nearby. The wait before anyone came to greet me at my table - about 10-15 minutes. The wait time from time my food order was placed to getting the food - about 35 minutes. My server was a 4 out of 10. Just nice, but not overly warm or high level service. She dropped off my meal and walked off, without asking me if I needed any condiments with it or explaining the sauce on the side. When I went to pick up my fork to eat, it had a men's dark black curly hair wrapped around it. When I asked for another fork, I was given a small fork for my meal by another server.
I ordered the grilled sea bass. For the price - it wasn’t very flavorful, but the fish itself was cooked well. I ordered the truffle and parm chips for the side - the chips were cooked well - but the truffle and parm was only poured on the top area of the chips and it was hard and clumpy - so the chips under it were bare and plain. Overall, the lunch was just ok, service was just ok. For this price point, next time I’ll look for an overall more elevated experience.

The whole experience was perfect beginning to end.
We were greeted quickly, with a pleasant person making sure we were taken care of.
The menus are easy to read and understand, but still you will struggle to pick what you want, because the choices are too fantastic.
I could see the bartender/mixologist, and how particular they were with the drinks. Paying such care and attention into all drinks, while still working in a timely manner.
Our order was taken, and the food didn't take too long. However that might be because it was quiet a 3pm on a Monday.
The food was delicious, brilliant taste, beautifully plated.
Very good flavour combinations, and attention to detail.
The staff made sure we were tended to very well. Constant checking in, table not left dirty for too long.
Water always topped up, knives changed for steak knife.
Parfait was delicious and smooth.
Cheese souffle was very light.
The steak was nice and tender, and so flavourful.
The lamb curry had a deep flavour and fantastic taste.
Sticky toffee pudding was mouthwatering and rich.
The Ivy chocolate bombe was perfect, and came with the staff pouring hot caramel over it, for some tableside showmanship.
I would love to go back sometime, when I can afford it again.

We had a fantastic evening at Hawksmoor Seven Dials and everything came together perfectly — great food, excellent wine, and genuinely warm service.
We started with the beetroot salad, which was fresh, light, and full of flavour. The highlight of the meal was the 450g Chateaubriand, cooked exactly as requested — beautifully tender, rich, and clearly top-quality beef. The sides were just as enjoyable: the beef dripping chips were crisp and indulgent, the spinach with lemon added a lovely freshness, the garlic mushrooms were full of flavour, and the Tunworth mash was wonderfully creamy. The bone marrow gravy tied everything together perfectly. The seasonal pavlova was light, balanced, and a delicious way to finish the meal.
A special thank you to Scott, the sommelier, who recommended a superb Rasteau Bressy Masson wine — a fantastic pairing with the steak. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and very professional. Our waiter Adam was also excellent throughout the evening: friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and made sure everything was just right.
Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience with outstanding food and service. We will definitely be returning.

Had a fantastic lunch today at Hawksmoor Seven Dials. We ate the potted beef and ceasar salad to start. The potted beef and two huge yorkshire puddings was, on first impressions, a strange way to start a meal, but it was absolutely divine. Ceasar salad was crunchy with lots of flavour from the cheese and anchovies. We then got a Sirloin each with chips and sauces. The beef was remarkable. Hawksmoor is now going to be our go to for fantastic steak, particularly when their lunch menu is only £23 for two courses! (£5 supplement on top each to go for a Sirloin instead of Rump) Amazing value. Thanks to all at Hawksmoor, particularly our waitress and the chefs who cooked our steaks perfectly!

We came for the January deal. I had the mackerel salad, rump steak. The starters were tasty, the steak was really good portion although slightly overcooked. It’s reasonable given the packed room. The lemon meringue pie was just the right balance of sweet and sour, peanut butter shortbread came in a star shape, warm and soft. I didn’t expect so much for a £26 set menu. Yet it’s proven worthwhile for making the trip. Service could perhaps be a little more welcoming, however, it’s overall a very pleasant meal.

Hawksmoor Seven Dials always feels like the OG to us. The atmosphere is cheerful, vibey and yet intimate and the food is always top notch. Today we came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a brilliant time. The steak was impeccable as always, the new blue cheese in the hollandaise a revelation. Old spot ribs continue to be fall apart tender, and the beetroot salad was delicious. The new(ish) Black Forest pavlova and lemon merengue tart finished off the meal perfectly, along with a great cheese selection. As always, highly recommended. Oh and don’t forget the gorgeous bacon side!
Meri Williams - a month ago
We had dinner at Hawksmoor Seven Dials and overall the experience was solid. The roasted bone marrow was nicely prepared, with good flavour and texture. The beef carpaccio was light and well balanced, with the rocket and parmesan complementing the dish.
The rib-eye steak was cooked properly and had a good depth of flavour. The lobster was fresh, and the herbs and lemon worked well with it. Portions were straightforward and the presentation was clean.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and comfortable, and the service was polite and attentive without being intrusive. Everything arrived in good time, and the staff made sure we had what we needed.
I should also mention that their cocktails were also top notch.
In general, Hawksmoor Seven Dials delivered a well executed meal in a pleasant setting.

Had a lovely early evening dinner for a birthday celebration. It's been years since we last visited Rules and it's comforting to see that little has changed. Still warming, comforting British classics. Think the clientele are more casual and relaxed than before which I like. £25 for a glass of champagne made my eyes water but apart from that all was well.

If I could've given 6 for atmosphere, this would be it. You can't go wrong at London's oldest restaurant - impeccable service, magnificent and historical surroundings, and food at top quality. We went for the Sunday roast beef and I can't recommend it enough. Full score to the team at Rules. Friendly and professional from start to finish.

I had dinner with friends in November and I was impressed with the food, the friendly and warm services and so I took my husband for his birthday dinner here. The oldest restaurant in London with classic decor and loving the atmosphere too! The waitresses were very attentive and super professional! They have the best Sticky Toffee Pudding, paired with Chantilly cream which was refreshing and light. Also, thank you for the free ice cream for my husband’s birthday surprise, that was very kind and lovely. Will definitely come back again. ☺️

An exceptional New Year’s Day dinner at Rules. The food was outstanding from start to finish — classic British dishes done perfectly and full of flavor. Every course felt thoughtful and true to the restaurant’s long history, and I genuinely loved my meal.
A special mention to Katerina, our waitress, who was warm, attentive, and professional without ever being intrusive. Her service really elevated the entire experience and made the evening feel relaxed and special.
Rules continues to be one of those rare places that delivers on history, atmosphere, and quality every single time. We’ll absolutely be back.

We had a fantastic dining experience here on Monday evening. The service was warm and attentive, and the roast was excellent — beautifully prepared and very memorable.
My only feedback relates to timing. We had a 9:30pm reservation and didn’t realize the restaurant would begin closing preparations so soon after we were seated. About 30 minutes into our meal, there was noticeable dishwashing and clanking as the staff wrapped up for the night, which was a bit distracting from an otherwise lovely atmosphere.
That aside, we truly enjoyed our evening and were very impressed overall. I would absolutely return — just with a slightly earlier reservation next time.

Loved this mexican restaurant. Great hustly bustly vibe, casual and comfy. The Taco Birria was my favourite!!! Highly recommended. Service was very good. Cocktails were delicious. Great nachos and salsa. Dogs are permitted from what I saw. Would love to revisit!!!

A friendly place with a lot of friendly service and vibes, the best thing we ordered was the nachos and churros, the tacos were okay - unfortunately ours were really small (Street tacos) I would not recommend ordering this one, instead order the 3 piece tacos if you come here. The cocktails were great, especially the ones with passion fruit if you're into sweet/tangy drinks. The table where we sat was noticeably low which made it slightly awkward to eat on but apart from that a nice experience.

I have visited Cafe Pacifico a few times now and they do not disappoint! They have a great menu with some of my favorites. They also have a nice selection of tequila.
They take reservations which I do recommend making one in advance. The team is always welcoming as you enter and on my most recent visit I popped in for a drink at the bar and kindly allowed us to have a drink in the space reserved for the mariachi band. We were only staying for one drink. They also made a reservation for us to come back later for dinner.
On the most recent visit I took a friend who has never had Mexican food and this is a great place for a first timer since the food is authentic.
We really enjoyed our meals and the guacamole was fantastic!

Food was amazing. Found this place purely by chance. Felt the drinks were pricey but but guess that's London! So we stuck to soft drinks.
Food was reasonably priced. Had a burrito and a naked burrito and shared a portion of mexican rice.
The decor looked fabulous and inviting. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great vibe.... tucked out the way but worth a visit... traditional Mexican fare.... warm and friendly.... good choice of fajitas and tacos... The half size fajitas is enough for 4 x tortillas... its more than enough for one.... Force of habit is to stuff them to the brim and then you cant fold them.... make sure you ask for extra napkins!!.... Very tasty will be back if in the area again....

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The setting is both cosy and sophisticated, with the fireplace and cherry blossom decor providing a stunning backdrop for any special occasion. The sommelier’s knowledge of the premium wine selection was outstanding, offering delightful narratives for each pairing. The tasting menu was a triumph of flavour, complemented by a bespoke cocktail service that caters perfectly to personal preferences. We were particularly impressed by the impeccable table service and the elegant birthday plate provided at the end of our meal. No detail was overlooked. Highly recommended."

We chose Cloggs Maggiore to celebrate my birthday 🎂 , (Thank You to the restaurant for the very kind celebratory 🍫 🎂 gesture 💗) and it was a lovely choice for the atmosphere alone. The space is filled with beautiful floral touches, giving it a romantic, elegant, and slightly whimsical vibe — perfect for a special occasion. 🌟🌹
I particularly enjoyed the starters and cocktails. The cocktails were not only delicious but also beautifully presented — the glassware was so innovative and eye-catching that it made the experience even more fun and memorable. 🌹🌟
My main course was good but not outstanding. The fish, while nicely flavoured, wasn’t as tender as I expected and was slightly chewy, which may simply not have been to my personal preference.😅
Overall, if you’re looking for a romantic dining experience with a gorgeous setting and great cocktails, this is definitely the place. A lovely spot for celebrations, dates, or anyone who appreciates ambiance as much as food 🌷🍸

Booked for my mother’s 60th birthday. Confirmed on open table it was for a birthday as well as a message from the restaurant the day before asking for the birthday girls name to make it a personalized special event. Unfortunately there was absolutely no mention what so ever of my mothers birthday. What was the point of asking what we were celebrating and her name for there to be absolutely nothing? I felt too awkward to say anything in front of my mother there at the table so just paid and left. Pre theater menu was tasty and a decent value with the included bubbles. Food came out fast but not very hot. More lukewarm but presented nicely on bernardaud poreclain. Service was very friendly but we were not checked on often. I feel like this is more of a instagram restaurant than an extraordinary culinary experience. The decor was more memorable than the food.

Five-star experience in every sense. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless - the food, the presentation, the atmosphere, and above all, the service. The dishes were exceptional: beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and absolutely delicious.
A huge, heartfelt shout-out to Giuseppe, who looked after myself and my mum as we celebrated her birthday. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care turned a wonderful meal into something truly magical. He went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable, and it meant the world to us.
This is hospitality at its absolute best — we’ll be talking about it for a long time to come and cannot wait to return - TOP TIER!

We came up to London to celebrate my birthday and Clos Maggiore was first on our list of restaurants to book - I'm glad to say it definitely did not disappoint, the setting, the food, the wine selection, everything was impeccable. We'll definitely be back.
We particularly liked the cosy but spacious dining spaces, making the experience feel relaxed and uncrowded, sitting next to the and by the window was very nice indeed.
We had the Clos Maggiore tasting menu which included scallops, steak tartare, Cornish cod, venison, and frozen lemon parfait for dessert. We added on the cheese, coffee, and petit fours and everything felt cohesive, delicious, and exciting.

I had an incredible experience at Dishoom in London. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality set the tone the interior is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The samosas were perfectly crisp, the chutneys were vibrant and full of flavor, and the keema with pav was one of the best I’ve ever had. The butter chicken curry was rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. Even the small touches fresh herbs, pickled onions, the raita showed how much care goes into every plate. The atmosphere is stylish but relaxed, and the whole meal felt like a treat from start to finish. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Overall I think the food is good and tasty, though I’m not entirely convinced the price tag is worth it as the portions are small. Lineup was considerable but they bring out chai tea to the waiting customers. As I don’t recall the specific dish names, it’ll be a bit generic. Shrimp: dry but flavourful. Okra fries: well seasoned, crispy. Baked rice: average. Chicken curry: rich, recommended. Salad: not very impressive.

I visited Dishoom around 16:00 and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the experience was, no booking required and no waiting at all, which was a big plus.
The service was exceptional. Staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the meal, which really elevated the overall experience.
As for the food, it was generally average. Some dishes were enjoyable, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Unfortunately, the salad was disappointing and didn’t match the quality or flavour of the other items on the table.
Overall, Dishoom delivered excellent service and a relaxed dining experience, but the food itself felt hit-or-miss. Worth visiting for the service and convenience, though the menu could be more consistent.

Brilliant place. As an Indian I must say they do serve Authentic Indian food. Blew away by the much detail they must have to for the interiors and the photos. Must visit. Centrally located. Kingfisher beer - if you are not Indian and want to try beer go for it. Rumali rotis were just perfect. No complaints what so ever. Only down side was the optional service charge comes with the bill. Which is around 15% pretty steep.

We visited Dasham for a meal, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The ambience is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The decor adds to the overall charm of the place.
We ordered chola poori halwa, Parsi omelette, and qeema, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. One of the highlights of our visit was the bottomless tea, which was especially comforting and perfect for the winter season.
The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The place does get a bit crowded, so making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.
Overall, Dasham offers great food, a lovely ambience, and excellent service. Highly recommended.

They asked for IDS for me and my brother, that's what they have to do by law so make sure you bring yours! The atmosphere was amazing, we ordered a burger, fish and chips and the sharing chips plate. Everything was absolutely delicious, nice and hot food. Chips were delicious and very large portions. Fish was lovely and the drinks were nice and cold. We had to wait a bit for the food because the restaurant was busy but the waiter was so lovely. Very nice service and antique vibes!

The Porterhouse
My best experience at The Porterhouse London was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived in Covent Garden, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The building itself is beautiful, with its unique wooden interior, multiple levels, and cosy seating areas that make it feel both traditional and stylish. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and excellent customer service, making me feel valued and comfortable.
The food was delicious and well presented. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked meal that was full of flavour, paired with one of their freshly brewed drinks. The Porterhouse is well known for its wide selection of beers, and the quality was outstanding. Everything was served on time, and the staff regularly checked to ensure we were satisfied.
The environment was vibrant but still relaxing, with good music and a great crowd. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality time. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I look forward to visiting again soon.

A Hidden Gem Full of Character!
We had a fantastic time at The Porterhouse – a truly unique and atmospheric pub! It’s deceptively large, with loads of nooks and crannies to explore, spread over three levels (basement, ground floor, and upper level). The industrial charm is everywhere, with exposed copper pipes adding to the quirky and distinctive vibe.
There’s a great mix of seating areas, perfect for small groups or a more intimate drink, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces are well thought out. The selection of beers is excellent, with something for every taste, and the live music added a brilliant energy to the evening.
If you’re in the area and looking for a lively, character-filled spot to enjoy a pint, I’d highly recommend The Porterhouse. A real find!

Best pub in London ever!
Due to good reviews, I decided to have lunch at The Porterhouse in Covent Garden, my favourite district in London.
Pub is huge and there is live music in evenings.
They have a wide selection of beer, included craft beer; I described my favourite beer and waiter suggested a beer I really appreciated.
I had fish and chips for lunch: good taste and sauces were fantastic (the yellow one, in particular).
Most important thing: it's not the usual pub for tourists.
I recommend this pub and I look forward to visiting The Porterhouse again.

Good Pub that is much bigger inside than it appears from the outside. Lots of spaces on different levels to find, from bigger tables for groups until small niches for a couple. Depending on the number of guests, not all areas are accessible. Really nice, but You have to be lucky to catch a free seat: outside area, which is lovely during summer and the big umbrellas should also keep away the worst on a rainy day. Good choice of beers, mostly regional, nice menu with burgers & co.
Take the time to walk around on the right side to have a view at the amazing windows

Good Victorian pub with a charming vibe and a decent beer selection. The staff were very attentive and the service was pretty fast. The only thing that was a bit strange was that part of the pub - the upstairs area - was closed and roped off on a busy Saturday early evening.

We quite enjoyed our lunch here!
I had the steak and ale pie and it was very good! My parents both had fish and chips and were very pleased! We had a round of drinks, and enjoyed our lunch!
Very classic British pub. It was very busy and service was a tad bit slow, but it was understandable due to the lunch rush. The bartenders were efficient and quick.
Great spot for an easy and good meal!

One of my fav pubs so cosy and a great buz.
It was super busy but we were able to get a table and order a soup of the day which was delicious.
I also really liked that they have a great wine by the glass selection including ones that normally are only sold by the bottle.

The Salisbury is a great pub with traditional decor and a nice vibe. Part of Greene King, they have a wide range of real ales and beers, and serve food (although I've not tried any here, but if it's the same as other Greene King pubs, it'll be very nice). It has a great atmosphere inside, plus there are a few tables and chairs outside, and they even offer the ability to order drinks through their app for table service. Great location in between Leicester Square and Covent Garden.

We visited London past Wednesday and found this gem by chance. Straight from the door, we knew “Yeap this is the place “. Great Christmas decorations and smiles from the staff. Vibe and service were second to none!! Especially from Agnieszka, she really went above and beyond to please us.
If you are looking to pop for a pint or 2 bottles of wine- like us- 🤭or tasty food , this is the place X
