The Ivy is a fantastic place that serves British food. I loved the atmosphere and there was live music during our visit. We tried the main 2 dishes: shepards pie and haddock & chips. Both were tasty and their portions are big.

Beautiful place, friendly staff. The food was delicious although some of it was a bit pricey, but everything we got, we liked! When we go back, I want to get the fish and chips this time, my husband got it and it was great!

There is a reason that the IV in the west end is famous! Great food, and such a fun atmosphere. We were absolutely lucky to get reservations right at the bar just prior to our viewing of The Mousetrap, and it was the perfect combination for a wonderful evening.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Ivy recently, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. it's clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft.
What truly stood out, however, was the service. From the moment we arrived, the hostess Ms. Binta, made us feel right at home. She greeted us with a warm smile, was attentive without being overbearing, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism added a personal touch that really made the experience special.

The food here was good but I think it’s overrated when people say this is the best roast. Those spuds were cold and over roasted. I was given a slice of each type of the roast beef, you get two carvings. The medium rare beef was definitely a better option as the well done is super tough.
I would not be running to comeback here as it’s over priced for what you get.

If you’re searching for a top-tier steakhouse in London, Hawksmoor is a standout choice. Known for its exceptional cuts of meat, this renowned restaurant delivers high-quality dishes in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. One of the highlights is their porterhouse steak, which is expertly cooked and full of flavor—one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Their house lager is also worth mentioning, as it pairs perfectly with the steak, enhancing the overall dining experience. Despite the upscale setting, the staff maintains a friendly and approachable demeanor, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. Whether you’re a local or visiting London, Hawksmoor is a must-visit for steak lovers. I look forward to dining there again on my next trip.

So enjoyed my first experience here! One of my dear friends brought me here and from our drinks at the bar to the warm, professional service at our table it was marvellous. Gabi and Delia took such good care of us. I enjoyed the whole vibe.
Comtortable, chic, and fantastic food with good reccomendations from all. Highlights were the fillet and the bass. Will be back!

SPANISH-ITALIAN FUSION 🇪🇸🇮🇹
📍 Covent Garden, London
⭐️ 5/5
💸 ££
I rarely fall in love with an entire menu, but @operatavernldn just changed that! 🤯 As a #Barcelona girl, I usually skip Spanish restaurants in #London, but this spot is the real deal. A cozy yet elevated dining experience blending the best of #Spanish & Italian flavours—every dish was exceptional. We went for the Head Chef’s Tasting #Menu (£50pp), and it was worth every bite. My top must-orders:
✨ Jamón Ibérico & Manchego #Croquetas – crispy, creamy, and paired with silky aioli.
🍖 Braised Ox #Cheeks – melt-in-your-mouth goodness with truffle mash & wild mushrooms.
🐷 Slow-Cooked Iberian #Pork Belly – caramelized pork skin, apple & morcilla... heaven on a plate.
🍫 #Churros – light, crispy, served with citrus mascarpone & chocolate sauce. A dreamy finish!
Service was impeccable, warm, and attentive—one of the best I’ve had in London. Already planning my next visit! 💯

Very good place for a pre-theatre dining experience. Service is very fast and portions are decent. This time the ibérico abanico was a bit too chewy, the tuna was not the best I had a bit bland and the Jerusalem artichoke super rich. Delia our server recommended the Vermentino wine and it was a triumph. She was super friendly (so it was the host as well) and we enjoyed our time.

Had a really good night for my birthday, amazing service via Alejandro as we sat on the bar. He recommended his favourites and so we took the pork belly. Leah also made sure we had everything on point. She is was lovely.
Pork belly was devine & works perfectly if you have a sweet tooth while the cod was tender & completed nicely by the mushroom
Will return for sure

This was our first visit to Rules the oldest restaurant in London and we were in for a real treat. The place is amazing , the food was fantastic and the staff were super friendly. This experience is definitely one I can’t wait to repeat.
The restaurant is located a short walk from Covent Garden on maiden lane. We arrived early so that we could enjoy a cocktail in the bar. This is located upstairs and in doing so the history of this restaurant is there for you to see. We entered the bar which is absolutely filled with classic memorabilia before deciding to sit in the pleasant surroundings of the Winter Garden. We chose the Gin Martini and the Sacred Spice Cardamom Negroni to start the afternoon’s experience.
We then made our way downstairs to the fabulous dining room to let the festivities begin. This started for me with a London Pride ale served in a silver tankard while we looked at the menu. This is set out with a good selection of starters , mains , sides and desserts.
STARTERS - We chose the Stuffed Mussels with a herb butter , garlic and breadcrumbs as well as the Middlewhite Pork Terrine with a spiced apple chutney and sourdough toast. My wife loved the mussels and I thought the terrine was absolutely delicious.
MAINS - Here we would be in for an amazing feast as we decided to have the Roast Rib of Beef for Two accompanied by buttered greens , a heavenly yorkshire pudding and the best horseradish ever. We also added dauphinoise potatoes and the chanteney carrots. Everything was cooked perfectly and a pleasure to eat.
DESSERTS - After a well deserved rest it was time for desserts. We opted for the Pear and Apple Crumble with Custard and the Rules Golden Syrup Sponge. These were two delicious classic desserts and a fantastic way to to finish a truly wonderful afternoon.
With a coffee to finish this brought to an end a fantastic afternoon and one I would highly recommend. This is just how hospitality should be. Friendly and professional staff , amazing food in a classic old school location. Rules is a place full of history and a visit here is something you should try at least once in your lifetime. Our experience was excellent and definitely one we will be repeating sooner rather than later.
Many Thanks to all the team for an amazing dining experience and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We visited on Christmas Day, and my family from Japan was thoroughly delighted with the traditional holiday decorations and the extensive menu of classic British dishes. The wine was excellent, and the oysters we had to start were fresh and full of flavor. The roast beef was hearty and absolutely delicious. The staff were kind and attentive, though their service felt a little on the reserved side.

Excellent meal and love the restaurant! Had the roast beef dinner and was that delicious and very filling. The best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had! Staff was very friendly and attentive. So glad we went to celebrate my delayed birthday. Will be back every chance I get. The bar upstairs is fantastic. The bartender that day was awesome. Loved the drink he was creating for the dinner menu!

My husband and I visited this restaurant during our honeymoon in London, and unfortunately, it left us with a disappointing and uncomfortable memory.
We had made a reservation in advance and even mentioned that it was our honeymoon, hoping for at least a small gesture or a warm welcome. Instead, we were seated at the table right next to the door — a spot that felt like an afterthought rather than a place for guests celebrating something special.
What added to our discomfort was the lack of attention throughout the meal. No one checked in on us, asked how the food was, or offered to refill our water. The service wasn’t outright rude, but it felt indifferent — and that can be just as disheartening, especially on such a meaningful occasion.
As an Asian couple, we couldn’t help but wonder if we were being treated differently. Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but the overall experience felt dismissive — as if we were not seen as important guests. That feeling stayed with us long after the meal was over.
I hope the restaurant takes this kind of feedback seriously. Everyone deserves to feel welcome and acknowledged, especially when celebrating something as personal as a honeymoon.

Delicious food and quick service, with a nice atmosphere.
Disappointed by small portion sizes for the price - I don't think I've ever left a restaurant after spending £30 on a meal feeling more hungry than when I arrived!
A bit cheeky to include a mandatory service charge - why not just put your prices up by a little bit in the first place?
Regardless - I still enjoyed my meal, but I probably won't return because of the price/potion size ratio.

Second time eating here- perfect as usual! Alessandra was a diamond !!!! Amazing service, food came swiftly and so many sauces to make the dishes complete. I personally loved the corn tortillas with the pork - could eat all day. The staff made an extra special birthday song for my boyfriend and free CHURROS! I said I didn’t want dessert BUT those were too good to leave behind! Even though it was very busy, you could see every staff member working their best, cleaning tables and looking attentively if any guests needed assistance. Even the music was also great. Can’t wait got my next meal 🫶🏽

Popped in for a spot of lunch with a friend since it's been a while. Found the menu limiting between wanting just fish tacos or a choice of quesadilla instead of a meal. My friend ordered Chiminanga and I had the tacos Al pastor. My dish was too difficult to manage and the pork was dry and it was too thick for tacos.

Clos Maggiore – A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience
Dining at Clos Maggiore was an unforgettable experience that surpassed all expectations. The ambiance is intimate and enchanting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special meal. The service was impeccable, with the staff providing attentive and friendly service throughout our entire experience.
We started with the oysters, fresh and briny, setting the stage for what was to come. The lobster was tender and succulent, prepared with expert care. The steak was cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The broccoli soup was a delightful surprise, with a rich and velvety texture that complemented the meal wonderfully.
Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to quality ingredients and culinary excellence. Clos Maggiore is truly a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience in London. We will definitely return for more unforgettable moments.

I was very pleasantly surprised! My fiance proposed to me in this "forest full of flowers". It will remain my favorite restaurant. As for the food.. I have no words, it looks and tastes wonderful.
Everything was PERFECT, I recommend it with great confidence.

My husband and I visited Clos Maggiore yesterday for a late celebration of our 22nd anniversary, and it was nothing short of perfection! This was our second time dining at this gem of a restaurant, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was enchanting. The intimate, romantic setting, especially under the stunning conservatory with twinkling lights, made the evening feel so special. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive.
And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish was a work of art, from presentation to taste. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill, with bold flavors and perfectly balanced textures. The attention to detail was remarkable, and it truly made the evening unforgettable.
Thank you, Clos Maggiore, for making our celebration so memorable. We can’t wait to return again for another special occasion!
Sara Guterres - 3 months ago
Always enjoyed Maggiore, sitting in the conservatory at the rear amongst the ocean of flowers is like being in a forest glade of cherry blossom. The food is always good and the wine list is monumental, but very reasonably priced, although you can blow out if you would like to. Also a good selection by the glass. I had the pork belly starter and the Monkfish, both of which were really good. My wife had the vegetarian main, and it was weird but not wonderful, and needs more thought. It was a strange sort of French toast dipped in egg crossed with a cheesy omelette and didn’t work at all. To their credit it was taken off the bill. All in all a good experience. My dessert, rice pudding mousse, was excellent.
They also have a fixed price and a pre theatre menu.

This place is magical. I LOVED my experience here. All the drinks and dishes we had were so good. The service was just as good too. always a pleasure to dine at dishoom. this was the first time i had come for dinner and so my first time i had to queue for a table as they don’t take bookings after 17:30
we arrived at 17:15 and were told the wait would be around 45 minutes, in the meantime they served chai to the queue which was a delightful pick me up. 45 minutes later, we were seated and our server was very attentive and quick to take drink orders despite how busy it was inside.
as usual, we ate our way through the menu and everything was delicious. some of my favourites are the house chaat and chicken biryani !
as this was a birthday meal, they finished by bringing a dessert on the house which was incredible and the perfect way to end the evening
we were well and truly stuffed by the end of the evening !
i would recommend dishoom to anyone visiting london

Perhaps one of the busiest Indian restaurants in the city. The lines can get long, but the service is great, the dishes taste good (9/10), and the prices are reasonable. You might find certain dishes more delicious at other places, but usually only at higher-end Indian restaurants. Overall, I would recommend this place.

The restaurant offers a beautifully designed ambiance with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service is attentive and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. While the food is flavorful and well-prepared, the portion sizes are relatively small, leaving room for improvement in terms of value. Given the price point, the quality-to-price ratio could be reconsidered. Overall, it’s a good spot for an atmospheric meal, but portion sizes may not justify the cost. However i suggest the restaurant.

We’ve heard really good opinions about this restaurant and now we understand everything.
It’s a really huge restaurant, where you will find an amazing food and really good service. It’s a bit more expensive than the other ones but the quality of the food and the place itself makes it worth it.
You can’t book a table for dinner so be ready to wait a long queue to get in.
Everything was delicious, maybe the best cheese naan we ever tried.
100% recommended!

Super cool place to go with a bunch of people to drink, eat , watch sports on the large screens , listen to live bands(when available ) and have loads of fun.
The atmosphere is very Irish ☘️ Steampunk with multi-levels filled with couches, sitting areas, dark intimate corners and long wide tables for loud/merry groups.
They also have a beautiful energetic patio.
The food is good and the drinks are great!
I personally enjoy their fish & chips.(my opinion)
The staff is really nice, welcoming and friendly which elevates the experience for the customers.
The location is also perfect, right in the heart of Covent Gardens area and close to all the theaters venues.
GOOD JOB !! 👏🏻

National heritage pub in full glorious homage to the essence of a British pub. This is perfect for tourists to taste incredible pub architecture & pub connoisseurs to feast their eyes & on a pint. This classic corner pub is tardisesque as it expands to a much larger saloon behind the cut glass doors & windows. Highly decoratively cut glazing is extensively beautiful, lining every wall, window & partition. Set into ornately carved wood pillars & frames. The exuberance of the ornate vintage beauty includes the variety of aged patterned papered ceiling in a lattice of coved beams sitting on cut & decorated pillars. There's a large central oval bar with an original ornately carved wood back bar & more decoratively cut glass behind beautiful large cut glass droplet lamps. A cornerpiece staircase separates the main saloon from a hidaway corner. The side step & balustrade Victorian detailing leads into a sweeping arch. Perimeter leather studded bench coves are classy, private & decorated with vintage statue lamps dropping glass flower lamps over the figurines. The bar is well provisioned with a draught selection, tunes are subtle, modern pop over a calm crowd of Westenders. This is a pub that decorates the Victorian essence of a pre-theatre or any evening wealth is for the senses in the beauty of design & artchitecture.

Very busy on a Thursday night in dec-24. Great location in the Covernt Garden theater area. Still, both service and food could and should be much better in the dedicated dinning room. Waitress forgot half our order, waiting was too long for comfort and food quality and presentation was lacking severe qulity
