⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — right in the centre, close to everything you could need. The place was absolutely spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early, which was a huge bonus! The staff are amazing — so friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I had a single room, which was small but perfectly suited to my needs — comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. A special shout-out to the door staff, who were always smiling and couldn’t have been more helpful. Their warmth and positive energy really made a difference. I’ll definitely stay here again — highly recommend! 🏨✨

Great doorman and guest service desk man. Awesome location. Cool historic hotel. We got an Superior King with a city view (which was just a view of the street). We had problems with the front desk staff. Our room was not ready, they did not come get us from the lobby when it was ready and then proceeded to start the check-in process over from the beginning. We reported a problem with our coffee maker which was never handled. The restaurant was expensive and not worth the money. The Gin Palace drinks were great, but at $21 a drink they should be. Overall very nice hotel but could use some tweaks for the rate one pays.

This is a great location! We were pleased to have air conditioned room. Our bed was very comfortable. The shower door closed completely which kept our things dry. The window had sliding doors which kept the room dark at night. Our room was quiet so we had a nice restful sleep. The doormen were friendly and helpful. We had a comfortable stay and would stay again.

Easy walk to all sites and theatres. Welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and simple. The concierge staff, doormen, and front counter couldn't do enough to make everything right. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choices, abounding in fresh fruit and breads. attentive table cleaners and servers. We ate dinner there 2 nights. Far better food than we found out on the streets with prices less or comparable. We were wishing we had chosen to eat there more than we did. Truly value for money at this Hotel.

Hotel reservations were extremely helpful upon booking, and they advised and accommodated our amendments fantastically. We stayed for one night, and the location is fantastic, within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Service was exceptional for a busy London Hotel. The complimentary drink voucher for the bar and the Strand-branded chocolate in the room was a nice touch. The room was small but comfortable - a great night's sleep. Following this, a good choice of food is available on the buffet breakfast.

We visited The Ivy in the West End and overall had a really great dinner experience. We were welcomed very warmly and seated at our table immediately without any waiting. We ordered starters, main courses, and desserts, and everything tasted amazing. The quality of the food is still at a very high standard after so many years, which is impressive. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but in our opinion it is worth it for the overall experience, atmosphere, and food quality. The only frustrating part was the service during the middle of the dinner. Our waiter disappeared without any communication, so we were not sure who was taking care of our table and ended up ordering from different waiters. Also, the food service was very slow. We did not expect fast food of course, but our dinner took 2 hours from start to payment, mostly because we were waiting for the dishes to arrive. Luckily we were not in a hurry. Reservations are definitely recommended well in advance as the restaurant is very busy.

Well worth a visit to the one that started it all, somewhere I've wanted to visit for a long time. Relatively small by modern standards inside but that just adds to the busy brasserie ambience. Exquisite design and layout with the bar down the middle with counter seating and normal tables every side (toilets near the entrance). Service excellent even through they were busy. Food exactly what you would expect - we enjoyed the fish and chips and pan fried sea bass. Deserts the classic chocolate bombe, rum baba and creme brulee (although would have preferred this a bit more crunchy on the top). Its a busy classic London brasserie and I completely recommend it!

Had the most amazing dinner here with my daughter and her fiancé, Daisy was the most amazing front of house we could have wished for. Attentive, diligent and tended to any need we had! I visited yesterday and honestly had such a lovely experience. I was sat at the bar and was served by Erik, who made me one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had, exactly how I like it, which made it even better. Erik really made the whole visit. He was friendly, attentive and easy to talk to, and created such a relaxed atmosphere at the bar. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it really shows in both the service and the drinks. Everyone else was also really welcoming and friendly. Nabin in particular was very attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. I tried the tomato soup and really enjoyed it, definitely something I’d come back for. The whole place has a cosy feel as well, with dim lighting and good music in the background which adds to the experience. Overall, just a really nice visit with great service, good food and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This was one of the best random decisions we had on a night out with the family on a Monday night, they were child friendly and wheel chair friendly. We were served by a kind and gentle lady named Claudia. She gave us the best customer services I have received in a very long time. She was so friendly, attentive. Kept checking on us and my niece even gave her a hug which is a big deal because she doesn’t like to interact with people. Message to Claudia, you are an amazing. Thank you.

Visited Hawksmoor Seven Dials for a date night and couldn’t have picked a better venue. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for a special evening without feeling overly formal. The steak was absolutely superb — cooked perfectly and full of flavour. It’s easy to see why Hawksmoor has such a strong reputation. The cocktails and sides were equally impressive and complemented the meal beautifully. What really stood out was the service. Hawksmoor Seven Dials was one of the best meals we had during our time in London. We visited while attending an authors conference, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of place we’ll return to on our next trip. My girlfriend follows a carnivore diet, and one thing I appreciated immediately was that nobody thought it was unusual to simply order a steak and focus on the meat. At a great steakhouse, that’s pretty normal. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series novels, I spend a lot of time traveling for conferences and events, and restaurants with a strong identity tend to stand out. Hawksmoor definitely has its own personality. The steaks were excellent. I also ordered one of the desserts afterward along with the airy house bread, which was surprisingly good and far more memorable than I expected. The atmosphere is a big part of the experience. The restaurant sits below street level, and parts of the interior almost feel like a vault or an old underground chamber. Combined with the brickwork, lighting, and open dining room, it creates a classic steakhouse feel while still feeling distinctly London. Reservations are probably a good idea. We walked in without one and were fortunate to get seated, but by the time dinner service was fully underway, the place was absolutely packed. The staff was professional and friendly, and service moved smoothly despite how busy the restaurant became. Funny enough, while working on the Maui Desire Romance Series, I found myself paying attention to restaurants that create memorable travel experiences, and this is definitely one of them. Excellent steaks, great atmosphere, and a restaurant that’s well worth seeking out in London.

Everything about our 3rd anniversary dinner was absolutely perfect! We’ve visited a few Hawksmoor locations before, but this one truly stood out. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered it medium, and it arrived incredibly tender and exactly as requested. I was craving for virgin pina colada which they kindly made for me even though it wasn’t on the menu. Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The entire team went out of their way to make us feel so welcome, with a special shout out to Adam P. for his friendliness and attention to detail. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be recommending this place to everyone. Thank you for making our anniversary very special!

Really lovely restaurant. Neither of us were huge fans of steak, but both were very pleased with the sirloin. It was tasty and well cooked. We also both really liked the chips, burger and sticky toffee pudding. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I said that I'd seen the burger on the menu outside, but it wasn't on the menu inside. Apparently it's only for lunch (although it's also on the normal menu outside, so they should update that). The waitress, who I think was Eleanora, was super helpful and quickly checked if the kitchen would make it for us. She was also great at explaining the menu and suggesting our steak. The building was nice. Good space for everyone to sit, you didn't feel packed in. It is very dark, so quite a few people had their phone torches out. Overall, definitely really nice.

We had a lovely meal together with my daughter. We both ordered the filet steak, served with a choice of mash, fries, and buttered greens, and everything was delicious. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The steaks were cooked to perfection—there was very little room for improvement. My daughter became a little impatient while waiting for the food, but in my experience, that's perfectly normal when a freshly cooked filet steak is being prepared. It was well worth the wait. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would happily return.

If you miss summer and have a need for Tapas in the middle of winter, this is definitely a great place for it :) 1) the service: Henty and Delia were very attentive and friendly! 2) the food: Garlic flatbread (excellently buttery), pan con tomate (actually packing loads of flavourful tomato), prawns (felt fresh and juicy), octopus (very fun presentation), patatas bravas (I think with manchego cheese on top), duck (perfectly cooked and nice jus) and broccoli tempura (also delicious). The dessert was a highlight and definitely one of the nicest I've had lately: blood orange tart & sorbet! So delicate, yet so full of flavour. Drinks: we had white, on the cheaper side, but still good quality. At £50 per person for 3 tapas each, a glass of wine and shared dessert, it is probably on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it, as the service and food/drinks quality are extremely good :)

We had a really good experience at the Opera Tavern. The food was absolutely delicious - everything we tried was full of flavour and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the staff were friendly and competent without being overbearing. It's a great spot for a casual but quality meal in central London. Just had a wonderful Lunch at Rules, We had one of their wonderful private rooms as there was 8 of us, good choices on the various set menus that we were offered. I had the dressed crab, beautifully fresh not over powered by mayonnaise so you could enjoy the crab, followed by Beef Wellington, perfectly cooked med rare very tasty duxelle and a Jus the star was the fresh horseradish which was amazing. Sweet, a steamed pudding with crème angles, lite fluffy and delicious. We drank their Bordeaux which was full bodied and smooth and Gavi di Gavi which complemented the guests who had the seabass with fresh mussels in a white wine sauce. Coffee, digestive to finish. We were served by a lovely very professional waitress called Ola, who was very friendly and made the occasion very pleasant for us. We then went down to the bar for some truly outstanding cocktails. Proper old school done properly, Good portions at a competitive price, Highly recommend! Looking forward to the next visit!

We went here on our first night in London. The ambiance is classy with intricate architecture and decor. The food was quite delish. We started with the terrine and it exceeded our expectations. The steak and kidney pie was a new experience but I think the filling and/gravy could have been seasoned more heavily. It lacked flavor. The oxtail was tender and deckhouse. The toffee pudding was also lacking. Half of it was extremely dry, the other half was a little moist but not the texture you would expect. Great experience, but probably wouldn’t return.

This was a lovely experience. For our party we had a wide variety of orders, the pork cheek being especially enjoyed. They also were very accommodating to the vegetarian in the group (call ahead and they’ll have a menu for them) and for our Gluten Free person as well. The wine selection was delightful and service was lovely. Recommend, make sure to make a reservation ahead. Also make sure to try their sticky toffee pudding!

Rules, London We’ve been to Rules a few times now, and it remains one of my favorite benchmarks in London. There is a specific kind of consistency here that is becoming rare; the restaurant operates with a historical weight you can actually feel. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the Christmas season, the holiday decorations are simply stunning—it transforms the space into something truly magical. The fireplace in the foyer isn't just a great photo op; it’s the heartbeat of the building. The service during both of our visits was flawless—proper, attentive, and completely on top of the details. It’s the kind of environment where you can actually relax because you know the staff is operating at a high level of professional stewardship. While the food is very good and hits all the classic notes you want from a legacy institution, it’s really that rare combination of perfect atmosphere and disciplined service that makes Rules a mandatory stop. An absolute treasure of an establishment. Unassuming from the outside, you are met with a beautiful historic interior draped in charming, characterful furnishings that paint a rich narrative of its history as Londons oldest restaurant. Rules excels in every way regarding food and service - wait staff were the most professional I’ve ever experienced in London, truly exemplary in manner and courtesy. Food and drinks were excellent - expertly prepared traditional British fare made to be perfectly indulgent yet still elegant in presentation. Very much enjoyed the signature black velvet made all the more luxurious served in a silver tankard, and my dining party’s classic cocktails were also pristinely balanced. Would most certainly recommend, and the price was well worth every penny given you can pay so much more in central London for mediocre food and service. Bravo rules!

The establishment is situated in a desirable area, conveniently located right next to the train station. I attended a birthday party there, and while the atmosphere was good and the venue spacious enough for large groups, the food was quite disappointing. The tacos, in particular, were oily and lacked sufficient meat, appearing to be mostly vegetable-filled. Service was also a significant issue; we frequently had to call waiters over to clear empty plates and glasses, indicating a very slow response time. Furthermore, some of the plates were wet and dirty. Our initial tequaila shots order arrived with salt and lime, but subsequent orders did not include these accompaniments. The staff seemed preoccupied, as no one checked on us to see if we needed anything. Considering the high prices for tacos and drinks, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. Following the meal, I felt quite unwell and bloated. Personally, I would not recommend this place, as it is very expensive. This was both my first and last visit.

Used to be good with the old manager and his partner as the old saying goes: "All good things come to and end". Not to say the new management and service was not good. They still have fantastic service and I am glad that has not changed. Cafe Pacifico used to have a wide selection of tequila(the best in London with scorpion and worm inside proper traditional tequila and the home made Nachos and Sambles was a teat as it used to be free, at the bar or at your table) I can only talk about how good it was prior to lockdown and our visit on Friday 27.03.26 showed how the restaurant has changed. I can only give the 5 start for the service. Food not as good as it used to be and it lacked that extra flavour and spice. But if you want to meet up with friends for drinks I am sure you will enjoy it.

I have visited Cafe Pacifico a few times now and they do not disappoint! They have a great menu with some of my favorites. They also have a nice selection of tequila. They take reservations which I do recommend making one in advance. The team is always welcoming as you enter and on my most recent visit I popped in for a drink at the bar and kindly allowed us to have a drink in the space reserved for the mariachi band. We were only staying for one drink. They also made a reservation for us to come back later for dinner. On the most recent visit I took a friend who has never had Mexican food and this is a great place for a first timer since the food is authentic. We really enjoyed our meals and the guacamole was fantastic!

We chose Cloggs Maggiore to celebrate my birthday 🎂 , (Thank You to the restaurant for the very kind celebratory 🍫 🎂 gesture 💗) and it was a lovely choice for the atmosphere alone. The space is filled with beautiful floral touches, giving it a romantic, elegant, and slightly whimsical vibe — perfect for a special occasion. 🌟🌹 I particularly enjoyed the starters and cocktails. The cocktails were not only delicious but also beautifully presented — the glassware was so innovative and eye-catching that it made the experience even more fun and memorable. 🌹🌟 My main course was good but not outstanding. The fish, while nicely flavoured, wasn’t as tender as I expected and was slightly chewy, which may simply not have been to my personal preference.😅 Overall, if you’re looking for a romantic dining experience with a gorgeous setting and great cocktails, this is definitely the place. Clos Maggiore is easily one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve visited in London. The moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stunning blossom-covered ceiling and warm lighting, which created a romantic and elegant atmosphere. If possible, request a table near the fireplace in the conservatory area for the full experience. I chose the tasting menu (£89) with the Champagne pairing, and every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. My favorite dish was the steak tartare, which was perfectly balanced and surprisingly approachable despite being served raw. The service was excellent throughout the evening. The staff and sommelier were attentive, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations. Overall, a memorable dining experience with beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and outstanding service.

The cloakroom attendant greeted us in a rather grumpy manner which didn't auger well. But we immediately forgot about her when the smiley and friendly Azil came to explain the menu. There is a set menu at £29 (with supplements) which includes a glass of bubbles and offers exceptional value. The rest of the service team, sommeliers, and managers were all wonderfully professional and friendly. The bread was good the starters were very nice apart from the cheese souffle which was rather stodgy inside. The cod was very good but the pork was a little sinewy. desserts were nice but to be picky the chocolate souffle was really a mousse - but delicious nevertheless. The petits fours were all home-made and excellent. The restaurant is cozy, it was quite cold to start but when I mentioned it, the lovely sommelier (I didn't catch her name) said she would increase the temperature - and did !! (a rarity in restaurants). She has over 2000 wines to look after so it was good of her to look after the aircon well. This is a really lovely restaurant and rightly deserves all the praise and success it gets.

Clos Maggiore is over-rated. Over priced and under delivers. Fantastic location in Covent Garden with a charming garden like atmosphere. The staff are definitely focused on rushing the experience as they are more focused on turning tables as opposed to allowing one to enjoy an experience with a significant other, friends or family. In our case we were celebrating my son’s graduation from grad school and we settled on this restaurant expecting a unique and memorable experience. We were a group of 6 who had not seen each other for a while, so the first 30 minutes or so was all about settling in, catching up and ordering drinks. After repeated flurried attempts to ask our orders, we finally agreed on some specialty dishes which took time to deliver by a different wait staff who placed all our orders incorrectly, and even included items we had not ordered but belonged to the table next to us. We had barely finished our meal and were preparing to order deserts and more drinks when told our time expired, as another party was waiting to be seated at our table. We were not quite 2 hours at the restaurant and for a top rated “fine dining” experience, we were quite taken a back. And it was not for lack of spending money as our meal exceeded £150 per person. Food portions are SMALL, but tasty - so prepare to eat elsewhere afterwards or not be too hungry when seated. We went to Burger King afterwards. The French Onion soup was tasteless aside from the lump of bread covered in cheese. In the end, it was a memorable experience, but not for the expected reasons ….. I rated 4 stars simply because no matter the location, we seem to enjoy the company of friends and family. But as far as THIS restaurant goes, it’s a tough sell to rate above 3-stars. This should have been a 5-star experience on all the possible parameters. The restaurant lost focus of its customers. I’m certain others will agree.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. I’ve tried many over the years, but Dishoom really stands out for the quality of its food. Everything we ordered was incredibly flavourful, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The desserts were a real surprise too—Indian desserts aren’t usually my favourite, but both the Basmati Kheer and the Malai Kulfi were outstanding, especially the Kheer. My only suggestions would be to offer milder spice levels, as every dish was quite spicy, especially the House Chaat. It was still incredibly tasty, but having the option to reduce the heat would make it even better. The naan and roti portions also felt a little small for the price. The restaurant was also quite noisy, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit.

Ok the important things , you can book after 6 pm provided the group is 6 people or more. Around 7 to 8 pm on a Friday night at least , the wait for the restaurant is 25-30 minutes. Free tea is served at random for the queueing customers. The restaurant is on 2 floors , each floor is huge . The lower floor seems the more quiet part. The whole place is very busy but buzzing with good vibes and atmosphere. An army of well organized servers are constantly around cleaning serving and taking orders. Indeed our server was a well spoken knowledgeable gentleman. The menu is a moderate size , a good selection of everything. The food itself was one of the best experiences of Indian food I've ever had , and I've been to a lot of places in the UK and india . The spice levels are fortunately catered for the Indian palate . So westerners beware lol Toilets were very nicely decorated and very clean , a bit oldly worldy in design You must at least try this restaurant once in your life! I'll definitely come back here.

Recommended to try at least once on your trip! Tasty and flavourful indian cuisine - different from the usual. We were on a vegetarian diet that evening and there's a great selection of vegetarian options available. Although it may lean towards the saltier side. For people who prefer less sodium in your diets, yoy may wish to try requesting for less salt and see if it could be accommodated. Great service as well! The server presented us with a complimentary molten chocolate cake as it was my birthday. Thankful for the kind gesture!

I had higher hopes for liking this place but may have ordered poorly - going for their most popular dishes rather than things I knew I liked. They have two kids meals and we tried both. The chicken was excellent and the paneer was disappointing. The fried okra, gunpowder potatoes and pau bhaji were good. The chicken Ruby was decent and if you like butter chicken will probably be a hit. The black daal, I didn't like but I don't usually like black daal so I can't fault the restaurant here. The naan and roti were good but didn't feel worth the high price point. We had a mezcal margarita that tasted more sweet than smokey and a glass of wine that was fine. Overall, I was underwhelmed but nothing was bad. I'm tempted to go back and try some different items. A service fee is automatically added (service was very good). Food came out quickly. We didn't have a reservation but showed up a little before 5 on a Saturday and were seated within 20 minutes.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As visitors from the United States, this was hands down the best Indian food we had in London. The food was absolutely outstanding, packed with flavor, and every dish we tried was excellent. If you’re looking for Indian food in London, put this place at the top of your list. What really stood out was the service. We waited in line outside in the rain, and the staff came out with umbrellas and hot tea for people waiting. That level of hospitality instantly set the tone for the experience and showed they genuinely care about their guests. Great food is one thing, but great food combined with exceptional service is what makes a place memorable. This was exactly the experience we were hoping for, and we would gladly wait in line again. Fantastic from start to finish. Food was incredible, flavours were spot on and quality of food was of a very high standard. We had a Black Bear Burger earlier in the day and somehow couldn’t resist the smash burger on the menu at Porterhouse, it exceeded expectations and we all agreed it topped the burger from earlier in the day. Couldn’t recommend enough!

This little bar was a brilliant first stop on our London journey. Reasonable priced drinks for the area. Lots of space and wasn't too busy which was good. Didn't eat here but their cocktails are delicious 😋 Big tables available for bigger groups. Staff were helpful and friendly

This place was absolutely packed. Little too busy for me could just about get a seat to sit down on upstairs. Yeah myate did say it was a bit of a maze and see what he was talking about but a lovely mase it is. Then had to give upy seat for a couple who wanted it. As I was on my own. First of the pint of Yippy was outstanding. Good price. And yes I wouldn't mind eatting here next time. But some of your prices for food are a little highly priced for my liking but people are willing to pay that kinda price that's fine. the vibes are so cool, brilliant decor love the old steampunk vibes and waiting to see what you have for live music, can't wait for that. As it did say "Live Music coming soon". So looking forward to that. Over all 9/10 guys. Love the beers keep up the good work.

They asked for IDS for me and my brother, that's what they have to do by law so make sure you bring yours! The atmosphere was amazing, we ordered a burger, fish and chips and the sharing chips plate. Everything was absolutely delicious, nice and hot food. Chips were delicious and very large portions. Fish was lovely and the drinks were nice and cold. We had to wait a bit for the food because the restaurant was busy but the waiter was so lovely. Very nice service and antique vibes!
