5 Star Rating Came here in September 2023 with a good friend for dinner. We was seen straight away but told it was a 20 min wait which we returned back. We was helped with our menu choices and then recommended some of the favourites which didn’t disappoint. Although we had a few drunk guys beside us which wasn’t pleasant the waitress was able to accommodate us and even offered us a free desert due to the drunk customers. Apart from that this was a good place to go for a meal and would certainly have come here again after enjoying the experience that evening.

5 Star Rating Great service and the food was even better. Our waiter was lovely and made the experience even better. We had the lobster croquettes for starter and they were amazing and my girlfriend had the lobster roll and the lobster Mac and cheese and it was all just delicious. I had the Lake District burger and it was cooked to perfection and was just perfect. We will definitely be coming back.

5 Star Rating One of the best burgers I had in my life. I saw this place accidentally, but it looked nice and decided to give it a try. Not disappointed at all. If you want to have a very delicious burger, look no more - this is the place. Staff is very nice and friendly. We were even asked if we have any food allergies - something that never happened to me.

4 Star Rating Very beautiful interior and decoration. The food was delicious, but I don’t understand why they don’t fill in the brioche with the lobster, why do they leave most of it on the top. The sandwich itself is very small, yet very delicious. The service wasn’t that good as they didn’t provide me with napkins, and wet tissue after finishing my meal neither checking on me every once and awhile. Overall I would give it another visit.

5 Star Rating We really enjoyed visiting the first Burger and Lobster restaurant in the world. Thanks to Mr. Lorand who served us very well. Back in my home in Malaysia, there is also B&L, but we planned to visit the origin to make a fair comparison. Service wise, London was excellent and very warm service. Price wise, almost the same as Malaysia. Size, Malaysia outlet triple the size of London Mayfair. Malaysia outlet easily queue up more than 45 minutes with more than 200 people ahead of you in the queue, but we could get a table easily without reservation in Mayfair during busy dinner time. Food wise, the whole lobster in London Mayfair tasted much better. We ordered the steam version, and it was very fresh and juicy. 5 stars The lobster roll here was unbeatable. Juicy and full of ingredients. It's very satisfying. 5 stars

5 Star Rating My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here. The food and vibe were amazing. Everything was of high quality. More importantly, the staffs are so friendly, professional, thoughtful, and genuine. I don’t think I have received better service else where. We really enjoyed our time here. Special thanks to Mr. Anthony Schepper (Restaurant Manager) who have taken care of us and given us such a pleasant time. We had a memorable dinner. Thank you.

4 Star Rating Great restaurant. Classy and good for all occasions. Very handy, next to green park. Great value set menu, excellent service. Spoiled slightly by finding on the bill a cover charge of £4 per person, which was bizarre for London, especially as £11 was then charged for the bread!

5 Star Rating Beautiful restaurant, fabulous service. Had bone marrow and brioche - divine. Great wine list by the glass (which is very hard to find in london). I ordered the signature fish pie for main which looked great but was swimming in cream and butter so decided not to eat except for forking out the fish because I don’t want to be 8000 kilos. Lovely art. Great chairs.

5 Star Rating The service and the quality of the food and portion sizes stand out for me. The consistent pleasantness and professionalism of every member of staff we encountered is an impressive thing to achieve. We had the Dover sole and a Ribeye Steak; both were exquisite. I researched restaurants, including the reviews. This restaurant deserves its good reputation. The experience was excellent from start to finish.

5 Star Rating We have been to this amazing place a few times and have tried the lounge, the Italian and Asian restaurants. And all of them are amazing. There are fresh vegetables, pastas, and seafood in front of the kitchen and you can see the cooks. The calamari is one of the best I’ve had. They have a few dishes with truffle and all truffle dishes taste amazing. The service is also great. Staffs are super friendly and polite.

5 Star Rating Has to be the best place to eat in London! Super kid friendly. The menu has a lot of halal options. The best service, food doesn’t take forever to come out. Great mocktail selection. I dream about their beef tacos. Even if you are full, you have to try their desserts (the ice cream with berries is the best).

3 Star Rating 3 people for dinner on a Monday night at > £300 pp, you expect stellar service (esp as about 2/3 occupancy), and stellar food. Service was average at best although arrogant at times. It was fast though, and sommelier was very good and knowledgeable . Some of the food was well above average, some absolutely average. This place now certainly running on the fumes of its past, and having eaten here many times before with much superior service end food I can only assume an inferior change of management or new poor leadership from a novice floor manager… Shame

2 Star Rating On arriving it felt very busy even going through a turnstile door. We put our coats in the cloakroom and the guy here was so friendly, this really is where the experience ended. We were shown to our table and the only way of explaining the area is that it was a huge food hall with as many tables as they could fit. We may as well have been in Bluewater Shopping Centre food Hall. The waiter was friendly enough and we ordered drinks and food and everything arrived quickly which was great. I know it can't be helped but 4 gangster looking guys all in casual sports wear were seated on the table next to us. They were all around 18 years old and just sat there tapping away on their mobiles and not even talking to each other. It clearly says what the dress code is at the time of booking and the staff should be more vigilant. The food was amazing but the whole experience of being there was just ruined by overcrowding . I can't even remember if there was music. I just know I will not be going back. I would rather spend the same money and go to a 5 star hotel and use their restaurant as the service would be more personable and the food just as good. I may just go back to the cloakroom and see the guy there again, he was such a character. This place needs to try harder in making sure the overall experience is superb.

3 Star Rating I was a member of the ROSL from 2010 to 2024. I ended up with rather mixed feelings about the place, especially in recent years. Since the pandemic, its business strategy seems to have shifted towards acting as an events location that is heavily marketed on social media. The restaurant in the basement reflects that, having been revamped to offer expensive gourmet dining. To me, though, that's not really the function of a private members' club where most members want a comfortable "home away from home". If I wanted expensive fine dining and social media-style presentation, I would choose any one of the other expensive restaurants in the area. The service overall for members feels like it's declined since 2010; it's now very difficult to get coordinated service upstairs, for example. Since I joined, the Edinburgh clubhouse also closed. I understand the financial reasons behind this decision, but it does mean a loss of one of the main appeals of the ROSL. The groups and events put on for younger members were really flourishing in the 2010s, but have recently fallen into disrepair and I am aware that many other younger members have also left. The ROSL chooses the arbitrary cut-off point of 30 for its younger member pricing tier (I understand certain rival London clubs maintain the younger member pricing tier until about 35). This pricing strategy meant an increase in my annual membership fee of about 200% (not a joke) once I hit my thirties. Although the ROSL membership fee is still low compared with that of many clubs, I do think there is better value to be found elsewhere as many rivals offer more extensive leisure, food and sporting facilities. There is still plenty to recommend the ROSL, especially for older members. It plays host to many musical and cultural events and has a lovely garden to use during the summer. The location is also amazing. For me, though, it doesn't feel enough of a cohesive home away from home with the personalised levels of service experienced in other clubs to warrant my continued membership. * Update * I subsequently checked the membership page for the ROSL, and it seems the younger member rate now only runs from 17-25. Compare with certain other clubs which have a younger member tier up to 35 (for instance, The Lansdowne).

5 Star Rating Attended the private viewing of ROSL PHOTO 23, which will be until Feb 2024. Gorgeous place, greeted with a glass of wine, and respectful staff all along. The exhibition itself is spread over 2 floors, giving justice to each piece. Some very endearing pieces and one that captivates my attention. I will be attending again. They provide a wide variety of music, art, politics, etc... The rooms were all full, but then it was nearly the end of the year, so everyone was out celebrating. Keep your eyes peeled for their events, highly recommend them. Make sure you are dressed smart casual. It saves a lot of unnecessary aggro.

5 Star Rating In my opinion ROSL is one of the nicest private clubs in London. Great location, just behind the Ritz, lovely garden overlooking Green Park and grand rooms full of charm and elegance. It’s such a lovely tranquil space amongst the hustle and bustle of London. The drawing room is one of my favourite places. You can just relax and read the newspapers and if you fancy something to eat there are two restaurants that you can choose from. This place is just lovely.

4 Star Rating Good combination of pub and cafe - may be called “upend pub”. Quite noisy and smelly as pub would be but still good seating area and decent service. Meals we tried we really good. English pub classics made well. Especially would recommend fried whitebaits for starter with glass of beer. Unfortunately the choice of beers was not to my taste - I would expect London Pride or some other local favorites but found Peroni and rest of international names. But Guinness was fresh and it made for a good night.

2 Star Rating The least tasty salad I've ever tried was at Aubaine Maifaire London. It consisted of five wedges of Chinese cabbage coated in a tangy white sauce, two slices of overcooked and dried-out chicken breast (2 cm * 10 cm) without salt but with a strong bitterness of black stale pepper, one anchovy - just one! - and three very thin slices of Parmesan measuring 1.5 cm * 1.5 cm. It was an entirely dry and flavorless salad with a bitter taste. When I asked for additional white sauce, the waiter brought sour mayonnaise. I never knew that Caesar salad could contain mayonnaise 🫢. The price for this displeasure was £22!!! I would have liked to request a refund, but the situation didn't allow for it. Have a good day, everyone!

4 Star Rating Good food and really good ambiance / vibe - it’s quite expensive, considering the portion sizes, and the servers can be a bit pushy about ordering more while not really offering much in terms of a unique experience (we were there for a bachelorette dinner and had asked if our dessert could come with a candle or something special, to which they said yes but then they brought out a single macaron with a candle on it, which was disappointing considering we were 9 girls). Nonetheless, the live music and overall decor is really nice and worthy of a special occasion, and the food is quite good, though expensive.

Live band entertainment is also very good. This is a very good place to have a special meal. Don't forget to mention all areas are instagrammable. My friends and I took hundreds of pictures. I had to ho through my bank statement several times before the matter was finally dealt with. This made me feel very uneasy, and I was unable to tend to my guests as we were celebrating my partners big 60th birthday celebrations. Apart from the service charges which every time our guest bought drinks from the bar and not bought to the tables, Quaglinos lived up to the expectations of entertainment and the atmosphere. The food was nice but unfortunately some guest did not get what they ordered.
