Great place and happy we went! Walked in without a booking and luckily got a table. Food was very good and service fantastic. Highly recommended. One note, they kindly serve bread and butter but when putting it on the table please give the guests a side place to eat it from. Other than that faultless! Ice cold draught beer too.

The best place for AFTERNOON TEA We booked a reservation for a Monday afternoon to try their famous afternoon tea. All the experience was impeccable and was our HIGHLIGHT during our trip to LONDON. Atmosphere is enchanting - the dining hall is beautifully decorated, the cutlery and plates are elegant and aesthetic. The service is excellent - the waiters are friendly, agreeable and professional. We were asked if we’re celebrating something, and as it was we were celebrating a birthday, so we received an extra delicious macaroon and a marzipan edible birthday cookie. The tea is great (never had so much tea in our life). We had the English Breakfast and then Afternoon Blend (you get a refill), which we thoroughly enjoyed. As for the sandwiches - we had a pescatarian menu, which was perfectly delicious (and you m get a refill for the sandwiches too). The cakes were also flawless and the scones great! It is not a cheap place, and with service fee it’s over £50 per person. But it’s totally worth it, as you can feel like ROYALTY for two hours ;)

We had lunch here to enjoy a classic London dining experience. The restaurant was quite busy, and the service was rather slow from the start. We waited a considerable amount of time before a server attended to us, so some patience is required. We ordered the Fishcakes Arlington, Regular Chicken Salad, Cucumber Salad, Lingsdown Still Water, and a Wiener Kaffee. The food and service were slightly above average, but nothing particularly memorable or outstanding. One thing to note is that bottled water can be quite expensive in Europe. Our still water cost £5.95, so you may be better off ordering a coffee, tea, or beer instead. The restaurant also adds a 15% service charge, which is higher than what we encountered at many other places during our trip. Overall, it was a pleasant enough meal for the traditional London atmosphere, but the food and service did not particularly stand out.

Took my mum here for her birthday as she loves this place. I had the salmon rillettes for starter, followed by roast duck with braised endive and spinach, last but not least, the strawberry and elderflower eclair. They were so good ❤️

We had afternoon tea in this elegant and timeless setting. Although it was a bit noisy, it was still easy to have a conversation. The tea set was beautiful, and I particularly enjoyed the scone. The other sandwiches and sweets, in my opinion, were just average. The server was very friendly, and the price was acceptable for a traditional English afternoon tea experience.

I almost wish I hadn’t discovered this place… because now I constantly crave it. Every time I’ve visited Burger & Lobster in Mayfair, the experience has been consistently good. The restaurant is always clean, well presented, and has a slightly eclectic style with artwork that really stands out and adds to the overall vibe. The food is the main highlight — the iconic burger and lobster combination is exactly what you’d hope for. Full of flavour, really satisfying, and one of those meals you genuinely look forward to having again. It comes with fries, and the portion size is generous — to the point where it’s actually a bit of a challenge to finish it all. For the quality and portion, it also feels like good value for money, especially considering the location in Mayfair. The only downside for me is that I don’t live closer — being based in Leicester means it’s not somewhere I can just pop into whenever the cravings hit. That said, it’s well worth planning a visit around. Mayfair is a great area to spend the day, and this makes the perfect dinner spot to finish it off. I’ll definitely be back — and would highly recommend it.

This spot is an absolute gem, especially if you catch their weekday happy hour from 3–5 PM when the incredibly fresh, briny oysters are a total steal at just £1.50 each. Both the flavorful, juicy burgers and the perfectly seasoned lobster rolls were outstanding. A huge shoutout to Federica, who was fantastic and recommended the Whole Roll Combo, which got us exactly what we wanted while saving us some cash. Great food, amazing prices, and top-tier service—we’ll definitely be back!

Came to B&L as a highly recommended place and had great service from Karen. The lobster smash burger was good, with fantastic fries! The only thing that fell short was the amount of lobster in the lobster roll - for £32 (equivalent to $60 CAD) we would've expected much more, especially when compared to another reviewer's roll a year ago (shared here as well)!

Ce here for my birthday. One word, excellent. Excellent food, service, local area. Ridley was very great and gave excellent service, as well as Vivian. Also had this cocktail called “the Rizzla” RECOMMEND!!! Loved my time here and will be coming back.

Had a wonderful evening here. The food was exceptional from start to finish. Highlights were the caviar with egg on toast and the duck confit, one of the best I’ve had in London, rich but not heavy and perfectly balanced. The Beef Wellington was also beautifully done. Great wine and cocktail selection, with a lovely bar upstairs featuring live music and a very elegant atmosphere. Service was warm, attentive and unpretentious. A refined yet relaxed dining experience I’d happily return to.

Food did not disappoint for a famous spot like Langan’s, though I’d say the starters outperformed the mains (the Dover sole was a bit greasy for my taste). Asked for my wine to be served later but was forgotten. The staff were friendly though, and I loved the interior design. I would’ve rated the atmosphere higher if we were not sat right next to a large group pre-drinking for some event (and we were amongst the earliest booking that day so would’ve expected them to move us to a further table) - the noise kinda ruined the first half of the lunch!

Really great food and mostly friendly staff. The restaurant is clean, well lit, and designed beautifully. The Beef Wellington was the best I’ve ever had and will be a meal I’ll remember. Despite the good food and general ambience, I still have one issue with my experience. While this may be petty, I still feel strongly about it. I noticed during my meal that women at some tables were offered ottomans to place their bags on. I watched a Chanel, Chloe, and an Hermes bag all get a place of their own, meanwhile I had to hold my bag on my chair. If a Chloe Marcie Mini gets an ottoman, then everyone should get one, especially since the restaurant can’t even fill every table for a weekend dinner service. I don’t like pretentious environments, so this is enough to keep me from coming back.

We recently dined at Novikov Mayfair and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. To begin, we ordered the Spicy Prawn Moneybags and the King Crab Tacos. Both starters were absolutely outstanding. The Moneybags were packed with flavour, perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice, while the King Crab Tacos were fresh, vibrant and incredibly delicious. For our main course, we chose the Peking duck, which is served in two courses. The first course featured beautifully crispy duck served with pancakes and all the traditional accompaniments. The second course was a duck stir-fry with chillies, bean sprouts and sauce, which was equally impressive and a great way to enjoy the rest of the duck. We also had the steamed whole Dover sole with ginger and spring onion, accompanied by fried rice and yellow curry vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The Dover sole was particularly impressive, delicate and full of flavour, while the sides complemented the dishes wonderfully. Service was very good throughout the meal. I was particularly pleased with both our waiter and the sommelier, who provided attentive, professional and friendly service. On previous visits, the service had been a little hit or miss, so it was great to see such a noticeable improvement. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. The food was exceptional, the service was first-class, and every dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend Novikov Mayfair and look forward to returning.

We visited the Italian section of Noviko and had a lovely experience. We ordered the Black Truffle Mushroom pizza and the seafood grill, and both were very tasty and well prepared. The pizza had a rich truffle flavor and the seafood was fresh and nicely cooked. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is comfortable and beautifully designed, creating a relaxed atmosphere. It was slightly on the expensive side, but overall a great dining experience and worth visiting.

What an amazing restaurant! One venue with two huge dining rooms—one Italian and one Asian. We dined in the Asian dining room, and wow… what an experience! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, attentive, and genuinely engaging, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding, especially the seafood—so fresh and full of flavor! You can actually pick your own seafood straight from their fish market, which is such a fun touch. Fun fact: they even sell vegetables market-style, as if you’re grocery shopping—very cool! We enjoyed a bottle of sake, and I loved the way they decanted it in this super cool sake holder. The sashimi was absolutely fantastic—beautifully fresh—and the grilled fish with grilled mushrooms was perfection. Every single bite was delicious. I had such a fantastic time and highly recommend this restaurant. On my next trip to London, I can’t wait to come back and try the Italian dining room too!

Lovely Valentine’s day Meal at Novikov’s Asian side will say the restaurant is lovely and the decorations and service were really good. The service was top notch they had lovely cocktails 5/5 and the food was amazing and overall will give it a 4.5/5. The bill came to £250 obviously its on the pricy side of things and you know what your getting by dining out at Mayfair so I will say it was definitely worth the visit..

Very nice tasty lunch introducing a friend to the club. Friendly efficient service from Letizia and pleased to be able to eat in the Brabourne Room, which is normally closed these days. This is a pity as it is beautiful, with a view of the park, and is less formal than the dining room. The bar is fine but not the same. Lovely menu and reasonable prices. Please consider keeping this room available, even if only for tea and cake!

We loved our stay here - thank you for having us! As younger, reciprocal club members we were unsure what to expect, but ROSL were fantastic 😊 The location is truly unbeatable. The staff were all immensely helpful, nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The building itself is gorgeous and breakfast was really great! Highly recommend - will definitely be staying here again when in London next.

Attended the private viewing of ROSL PHOTO 23, which will be until Feb 2024. Gorgeous place, greeted with a glass of wine, and respectful staff all along. The exhibition itself is spread over 2 floors, giving justice to each piece. Some very endearing pieces and one that captivates my attention. I will be attending again. They provide a wide variety of music, art, politics, etc... The rooms were all full, but then it was nearly the end of the year, so everyone was out celebrating. Keep your eyes peeled for their events, highly recommend them. Make sure you are dressed smart casual. It saves a lot of unnecessary aggro.

I have said it once and more than happy to say it again the Aubaine French toast is one of my favourites. Since going I have been informed that the French toast has changed I assume it’s a seasonal shift, it’s now a cinnamon French toast. However this traditional French toast was delectable I’ve had it multiple times, great quality control, it never disappointed. I’m looking forward to trying the Aubaine new cinnamon French toast because they’ve had a great track record based on my personal experiences.

My partner and I came here because we were drawn by the lobster pasta. We're going through a phase at the moment and are trying multiple restaurants serving such a dish. We ordered the wagyu katsu sando. The lobster pasta and a millefeuille for dessert. The lobster pasta was exceptional. Fresh lobster tail, was tender and flavourful and accompanied very well with the lobster basque sauce of the pasta. Wasn't too salty and burst of flavour with every bite. However for £40, it was on the pricier side of dishes on the menu. The wagyu sando was quite disappointing. The beef was tough, but very well seasoned. I understand it isn't A5 Wagyu, and they use British wagyu but I at least expected to not have to tear through the meat with my canines like I were eating a rump steak. The highlight of the night was the millefeuille. Decently priced and was a massive portion compared to patisseries around London. The cream was soft and sweet. Delicate and melted in the mouth. The pastry wasn't too flaky but just the right texture. It almost had me ordering another. The service was great! The waiter didn't hesitate with any questions we had and checked up on us throughout dinner to ensure we were satisfied. Water glasses were never left empty!

So the fork had a deal for food and we wanted to try it out as we haven't been to this location. It's a hidden gem of a location which you would walk past if you didn't know about it. I love the decorations they have used it feels very exotic and fun. We ordered the calamari which was lovely and fresh. Baked vacherin which was delicious a rich cheese that is messy but god does it task amazing. Miso aubergine which the miso sauce is so tasty and it's difficult to just have a bit of it. The chicken supreme it was so tender to eat and every bite just again makes you want more. The lobster pasta had that rich flavour and my girlfriend loved it. We shared it was half price so we went to town. The desserts are my favourite here. We had the millefleur which the filling is so lovely and you wish they just put it in a bowl for you to scoop. The pear tart had this home made goodness that reminds you of that skilled aunt that made amazing sweet goodness. The chocolate and coffee cake wasn't that rich and it was okay. They did a valentine's chocolate cake which was amazing I wish they did it again. Service was wonderful and they took excellent care of us. I had a meeting with one of my friends. She took me to this place since she works around the corner. The restaurant is big and spacious.... The service was polite and friendly. Impeccable. Very please with that The food was delicious, they even gave us ...complementary sweets... that was a nice touch The toilets are spacious and clean

I’ve dined at Aubaine locations across London several times, and most recently visited the one in Mayfair. The food is consistently great—I’m a big fan of the Lobster Spaghetti, it never disappoints. That said, I did feel the service at this particular branch wasn’t quite as warm or accommodating as I’ve experienced at the others.

Both my partner and I loved this place. We were tucked away at the back as requested in the reservation form. The live music was great with good song choices and not too loud. The food was also good although lacking a bit of salt the menu selection is not too diverse but there are some vegetarian options some small issues we experienced: we asked for tapwater and received a bottle, the menu didn’t specify mushrooms in one of the dishes (dietary restriction), and the food took a while to come. However, the staff were kind and patient, which is very appreciated.

Wow wow wow!!! We had booked a table for the Gospel Brunch on the Sunday but while exploring London on the Saturday we did some "recon" at the venue 😉 It feels like a mix of modern and vintage style. Really cool decor and really friendly staff. We had drink upstairs on the Saturday and was able to enjoy the music. A very talented solo singer. She had a great voice. Sunday brunch was spectacular. Same friendly service and ambience. The food was scrumptious, accompanied by the gospel singers doing old and new soul, rnb and pop numbers. They got the audience up, dancing and singing. A really great afternoon on a wet and dreary day. The venue will take your coats and luggage if you have any. We will definitely be back. Have to mention the bar tender who looked after us on both days. Also on the Sunday, Gaz, who looked after us at our table was funny, helpful and made our experience wonderful 🙌 💃 🕺 👌

Visited on Saturday evening for a surprise dinner for my husband and had a wonderful experience! Thank you so much to the team who helped to make our night so special. We were greeted with a birthday card on arrival and one of our waiters Akash went the extra mile to make our dinner memorable — especially with organising my husbands birthday plate, happy birthday song and a complimentary glass of champagne! Thanks so much to Akash for the service which was done with professionalism and friendliness. We loved the live music sets, even had a little dance by the bar and really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. We also loved that everyone was really dressed up, even the waiters were dressed very smartly. Thanks again for a memorable night!!

I went to Quaglino’s on the 20th of January to celebrate my birthday. My partner and I had an amazing time. The food, atmosphere with live entertainment and service were exceptional. For our starter we ordered Quaglino’s Fruits De Mer which was the star of the show, if you love seafood I would highly recommend it, the portion size was so much bigger than we expected, we were so full afterwards. For my main I ordered the ribeye steak with a side of chips and carrots, the quality and flavour of the steak was amazing. My partner ordered the venison with a side of chips and green beans he loved the venison with the red wine jus. Our waiter Gas gave us a 5* service, he was really warm and friendly, he made sure we had everything we needed, always checked up on us and he gave us many recommendations which turned out to be lovely. Gas went above and beyond to make sure that my birthday dinner was a special one. We were so full we had to take some food home unfortunately they didn’t have any takeaway boxes so Gas wrapped up all of our food in foil for us to take home. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy a lovely evening with great food and live music. Thank you Gas for making our experience so amazing, we will definitely be coming back and we hope to see you there.

Automat is okay in pretty much every sense. Apart from the pricing, which is slightly bonkers but suitably Mayfair. I went for breakfast and enjoyed my smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on toast (hard to get wrong really) but later wished I went for the french toast with bacon. Or the waffles with strawberries and cream. Or any of the other American classics on the brunch menu. Unfortunately I have to agree about the surly staff - I know it's before 9am but would it hurt to crack a smile? It's certainly not the best place in London for American food but it's not a bad option. If someone else is paying.

Automat was the next stop on the quest for the best burger in London but what a disappointing time. One of my friends had told me about this place reputed to have a juicy burger and some excellent truffle mac'n'cheese. They will also adapt your burger however you want it, regardless of what is specified on the menu. It sounded interesting so we gave it a go. The entry was fine with a gracious doorman and very friendly (and attractive) hostesses. Actually, the staff were the highlight with a very friendly and welcoming manner. However, it all went down hill from there. To start off, our table for two was barely bigger than a pizza and placed in the most awkward position (quite literally in the doorway) despite having booked ahead of time. I know tables for two tend to get short shrift, but that's a bit far. The burger arrived and visually it looked pretty damn good. However, like most things, it started to fall apart (quite literally). The key attributes of a good burger are the patty, the toppings, and of course the bun. The patty was alright, nothing special but slightly overcooked. The toppings of cheese, bacon, tomato, and lettuce was absolutely perfectly balanced with enough salt to keep it tasty but not too much grease to make it oily. The bun is where is all collapsed with each bite sending the top bun crumbling away. It was as if they had stored it in an airing cupboard then toasted what little life remained away. By the time I was halfway through, the top bun was nothing more than dust. Epic burger fail! The truffle mac and cheese was well truffled. However, be warned, it's so rich that each bite gives you a heart attack. Still, it's worth the years off the life for a taste of this truffle-based goodness. Oh, I will admit the fries (skinny fries) with the burger were top notch and I could easily have made a meal of them. Cocktails however, for a NYC bistro, are pitiful. The Manhattan is made with Canadian Club (when did that become an acceptable Scoth whiskey?) and over diluted. You can request a better quality alcohol but it won't make much difference sadly. All in all, one cocktail, two burgers, and a large order of truffle mac'n'cheese came to just over 70 squids. It's quite hefty price to pay for a mediocre burger and a watery cocktail. Automat, I hope your other food is better but when it comes to burgers it's time to get your act together!

I'm not sure what's happened to Automat, but this place used to be brill - now, there are rips in the leather booths. Fine if you're MeatLiquor, but not fine if you charge £60 for a burger, a salad, mac'n'cheese and two drinks. Yes, the drinks were good (amaretto sour, especially) but the food really varied. Burger was dense and meaty, but the mac and cheese was a pale, pale shadow of Spuntino's or - well, anywhere really. The crowd was awful (braying table of hedge funders, women in beige cashmere wraps) and the waitress lost us a little when we walked into an absolutely empty restaurant at 6.30pm to be told we could only have our table for an hour. Fine, especially with quick food, but we then spent 10 minutes getting the bill from the increasingly surly staff. With hefty service charge added.

The fact that this is a New York style American Brasserie in the heart of London almost automatically qualified it as a GLP. It was the Return of the Mac and Cheese (here it is) however that sealed the deal. Not for the faint walleted, this pricey establishment is all about the relaxed, stylish end of dining. That’s not to say it’s not buzzy - it still has the heart of NYC pulsing through it. There are a couple of areas where you might find yourself eating; in the wood-panelled ‘railway carriage’ middle section of the restaurant with leather booths and moody desk lamp lighting. Either that or you’ll probably be in the main space, all white tiles and wood. The chef’s table next to the open kitchen is definitely worth booking if there are enough of you in tow. The menu is US of A to the max. Period. Jam-packed with steak and eggs, fluffy pancakes, waffles, burgers, and all sorts of other heart-attack inducing delights. The buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and blueberries are not to be missed.

It is one of my favorite places in London but despite the cosy atmosphere in the first room, the good food and the fact that you can dictate when to order food or ask for the bill I think is a bit too priced. Moreover, watch out for the soap dispenser in men's room (if you press too hard it will spit soap just far enough to get on your trousers ;-)
