An amazing experience all around.
The atmosphere feels like you're in the cottage of an old family friend as they invite you over for dinner. Collections of farm equipment on the walls, the chairs are mix of different types, and the plates are gorgeously decorated.
I had a special which was a Beef with Mango Curry and it was amazing. The beef was cooked perfectly and the mango curry was sweet, but only just so. Nothing too cloying.
I also sampled some of the paté that another in my party ordered, and that was divine.
Every staff member we spoke with was friendly, answered our questions, and timely with taking orders and bringing food. Would happily come back here again.

Such a cosy, intimate place. The food isn’t pretentious, just genuinely good food done exceptionally well. You’re looked after by people who clearly love the restaurant and are passionate about what they do.
For starters- The avocado with vinaigrette was perfectly ripened, unbelievably creamy, and beautifully balanced with the dressing. The duck liver parfait was absolutely divine
Main - the steak was cooked exactly as requested. And the pork belly was THE BEST. Juicy, tender, with perfectly crisp skin. It was served with mashed potatoes that taste like something a grandma would make at home.
The chocolate pot for dessert looks so simple (literally a pot of chocolate) but it completely blew my mind. Slightly grainy in texture yet incredibly smooth and rich. Highly recommend pairing it with dessert wine, it was heavenly.
The team truly deserves recognition. They were passionate and warm, and their genuine pride in what they do elevate the entire experience. Will absolutely be back.

It was our first night in London and we had such a lovely evening! Our waitress was very welcoming. I wish I could remember her name but she has longer brown hair. We were seated at the bottom level which was very cozy. The food was so delicious and flavorful. Would definitely come again on our next trip to London!

I visited Maggie Jones’ this week, through the week & was very impressed. I booked as a solo as was in London on a break by myself. I was made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff, who were chatty & super helpful.
The food is authentic British cuisine, made & cooked how it should be. I was given a complimentary basket of delicious bread & butter, also offered more once I finished. I ordered the pork belly with mash, apple sauce & gravy which was completely divine! I had Apple crumble with custard for dessert which was so clearly homemade & fresh.
The quirky decor & warm feel this place gives is like nowhere else, you feel as if you’re in your Grandma’s living room haha! It’s beautiful & so cool with how vintage it is. Candlelit tables, I would imagine lovely to go as as a couple too.
Cannot recommend this place enough! I will definitely be returning.
Thank you Maggie Jones’

An absolute wonderful experience with Niamh! She was incredibly attentive and helpful, managed all of our dietary options well and made amazing recommendations. Other staff were very nice. I was impressed with the diversity of options on the menu. The atmosphere is definitely English countryside grandma's kitchen, and you feel like you're in someone's home in the best way. Also the location is great for a day making around London.
The only thing I would note is the kitchen does make everything to order. For a group of six we budgeted 2 hours to eat lunch and we should have budgeted 2.5hrs.

I’ll give the Prince of Wales credit for one thing: they don’t make you wait long to realize you should have eaten somewhere else.
The Service: Remarkably fast. Not exactly "warm and fuzzy" friendly, but they move with the clinical efficiency of a pit crew. They get the food to your table so quickly you barely have time to change your mind.
The Sandwich: A true minimalist experiment. Two slices of basic white bread that seemed to be barely acquainted with the filling. The bacon was so sparse I felt like I was playing a game of "Where's Waldo?" with my lunch. We had to perform some emergency DIY surgery with our own ketchup just to give the plate some signs of life.
The Chips: They look like 10/10 "Triple Cooked" perfection, but the taste tells a different story. They’ve clearly spent some quality time in oil that’s been in the family for generations. A vintage flavor profile that I personally could have lived without.
The Saving Grace: The beer was cold, fresh, and served at record speed.
Verdict: If you’re in a massive rush and only need a pint to survive, this is your spot. If you actually want to enjoy a meal that doesn't taste like a 1920s fryer, maybe keep walking.

This is not the first time traveling to London and getting a beer and bar bites from an English Pub. Drinks are alright as it’s from tap beers. But there are no bartenders to make any cocktails. Probably could hire a proper bartender.
Ordered chicken wings Nashville hot sauce but there was no sauce on it. The chicken was just fried frozen I believe.
Could definitely do better with food . But I would come back for beer for the atmosphere but definitely not food .
Had to ask everything myself for plates and sauce.
The bar girl was also not very happy serving.

Great place to sit and have a pint by your lonesome. Atmosphere relaxed. Service great with helpful staff behind the bar for food recommendations. A good corner in a busy area.

We had their Fish and Chips meal with a lager 🍺 and bottled water.
Very good fish (Atlantic Cod fish) with meaty fries.
I like how they serve a broiled half of lemon with the meal. Great on top of my fish.
Their lager was pretty excellent as well.
Nice meal.
Service of our meal was fast as well.

We havent been to Côte since just after Covid, and for the life of me I cant think why not?
What a fantastic evening at Côte Brasserie Kensington! From the moment we arrived, the whole team made us feel incredibly welcome.
A special mention has to go to Khadija (I hope I've spelt that correctly!), who went so far above and beyond that we're half convinced she secretly owns the place.
Her service was outstanding, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our evening even more enjoyable.
The food was absolutely superb, every dish was spot on, and the atmosphere was brilliant. It's rare to find a team where everyone is so switched on and clearly enjoys what they do.
We'll definitely be back very soon. And to whoever's reading this at Head Office... I think this entire team has earned themselves a paid day off (or at the very least a very generous bonus)!
Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Although I have probably visited most of the London Côtes ( and a substantial number outside London), this was my first visit to this branch.
The service was excellent; thanks to my friendly server, Simon.
The food was delicious, however, please don't allow the avocado in the green salad to oxidise and turn brown!
I took advantage of the free cocktail with the app I downloaded.
I left feeling very full so it was a good job I planned to take a long walk afterwards.

This restaurant is a true delight to attend. Booking is easy, staff are just wonderful here, friendly, attentive and know their menu. Wine selection here is nice. The can easily cater to people with Celiac with a wide selection of dishes.
we have eaten here a few times and will continue too.
Mussel and frites are the best !

Amazing lunch at Yashin. Our server Ivan was incredible, so friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend the aburi salmon donburi and the omakase 8 set. A must get is the mochi dessert with black sesame ice cream. Will definitely be coming back. See you soon Yashin!

Absolutely love coming here whenever I’m craving sushi. Their omakase is an incredible value, very reasonably priced and comes with miso soup and a salad. The fish is always exceptionally fresh, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

We had not been back to The Greyhound for 10 years after coming while on holiday…coming back was amazing! We booked a table ahead to watch a football game and it was waiting for us! Glad I did because the place filled up! Food was yummy and service was amazing! Henry and Laura were absolutely lovely! We enjoyed helping them practice their Spanish as well😄! We will for sure be back!

Stopped by for a quick drink, first visit. Nice smart pub. A few outside tables at the front of the pub.Large inside seating area at the rear of the pub, obviously geared up for sports since they have three big screens on the walls so you don't miss anything. Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Good service. Good choice of drinks at usual London prices. If you want to see a football match then this is a good place to go if they're showing it.

Shawerma was not well seasoned, nor had enough filling.
Hummus, although it looks delicious, it is tasteless unfortunately.
The only good thing is the prices and that it opens until 12AM.
Orange juice was below average
Good service
Had to give it 2 starts as we couldn’t even finish our meal !

This is an excellent restaurant. Clean facilities, polite staff and great food! You must stop by if you like shawarma. I ordered lamb shawarma and tabouli salad and they tasted wonderful. They were open even around 8:30pm when we got there. All three of us really enjoyed the food. 👍👏👏

This place just blew out my expectations today. We were in the area casually, and I thought this would be just a convenient way to have food, more like a fast food experience. However I was wrong!
We got a cozy and nice table in the back. We order just a few things that we were planning to share, but portions are very generous and good quality - Everything was delicious. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish all, but speaking of generosity, the staff working there packaged everything again so we could take it home. Service was great, you could see these are folks that are going the extra mile to get their customers happy. I’m surprise it doesn’t have better reviews on average, but trust me, give it a try!! Whether you are a local like me, or a tourist, you won’t be disappointed.

Delicious food , small restaurant only few tables available. Quick service
Only thing to say , they brought starters and the shawarma wraps too close so no time to enjoy the starters and ended up eating everything together . We will definitely go again but will ask to leave some time till we get our mains

5-stars for mum’s fabulous 99th Birthday cake! It began with a delightful experience collecting mum’s cake from the High Street Ken’s Café Concerto’s helpful staff, and leaving with their kind birthday wishes. Café Concerto's Master Pâtissier's magical creation was a masterpiece of beauty and decadence with an absolutely divine taste. Our mouth-watering cake was loved and praised by all our family and guests, and most importantly the birthday girl herself who beamed with joy at every bite. We can't thank you all enough for the love and passion poured into the centrepiece of our party. Literally the icing on the cake for a special and memorable day celebrating 99 years of mum’s blessed life. Everyone is looking forward to the next inspired and delicious creation!

The pani puri was one of the best we've had - it was such a wonderful blend of textures (crunchy and soft). The fish curry was delicious and creamy, and the black gram dal was so wonderfully nutty.
Service was excellent as well. It also had a very nice and fancy interior but not at a bad price point. Thanks for having us! Insta: @twochewfoodies

What a fantastic experience and wonderful cuisine. Excellent staff very knowledgeable brilliant atmosphere really comfortable, I ate everything and licked the plate clean. I had the chicken curry and it was delicious probably the best curry I’ve had in a long while. The mushroom rice you could eat on its own that’s how good it was. This is a boutique restaurant vey small but comfortable the atmosphere is very nice you will definitely have to book or be disappointed. This is probably the best Indian restaurant in London I was amazed how good the food was definitely I will be back there again and again. Fantastic exquisite food beautiful surroundings.

I have just found my favourite indie restaurant of all time. We had the battered ocra and a thing with baby spinach leaves and crunchy chickpea - then a veg curry with saffron rice. Simple things really beautifully done. A quiet corner just back from the main drag at Kensington High Street - we sat out on the terrace. Great service. We’ll be back.

The Kensington Curry Club were pleased to hold their September meeting at Chakra Kensington. The most helpful manager devised a menu for the seven of us that included an inspired selection of starters followed by main courses that included a perfectly prepared ‘Old Delhi Butter Chicken’, Paneer Butter Masala, delicious Dal Makhani along with a range of accompaniments.
The service was immaculate and very friendly in the comfortable dining room….I expect that a number of our members will be returning to this delightful restaurant!

Whilst the service was impeccable here, the evening was slightly let down by the food. Somethings we had were excellent, Pani Puri, Avocado dumplings, Chatt (starters) however the mains didn't live up to the preclude to the meal. The panneer was watery and the lamb chops were mainly bone. The Desi salad wasn't chopped, it was sliced tomato, onion and cucumber which was just odd and disappointing. I expected a bowl of refreshing salad. The prawns were stand out, however there were only three. For the price, I would expect more. All in all, not a complete disaster, with a few tweaks this restaurant could be great, but right now, it's just not worth the premium prices they are charging.

We had a really lovely experience in The Knightsbridge branch. Service was really lovely and the food absolutely wonderful.
Our server was a lady called Hajni, there is nothing she couldn't do for us or make us feel more welcome.
The starter was really fresh and enjoyable and the pizza was delicious. I had a chocolate fudge cake with ice cream for desserts and my friend had the tiramisu. Very delicious!

Good looking place in Kensington area, it was very busy during my visit due to the hour, 7PM at Sunday, and they released an offer for pizza for fiver that day, so I'd expect many people arrived for that reason. Also don't think they had enough staff on the floor.
They offer seats outside which I highly recommend.
Prezzo's pizza is keeps growing on me, it's not award winning pizza, but there is something distinctive how they serve it, dough is crispy and firm, and that pepperoni can produce a lot of fat. It's just decent pizza, comforting and hot.
Cold latte was ok, nothing to write home about.
Waiting time for service was long, as expected, but food arrived fast. Service was hit and miss, no smiles but I don't blame them, who wants more job for minimum wage?

During our recent stay in London, we had the pleasure of dining at Balans—not once, but twice in the same day, which in itself says quite a lot.
We first visited for breakfast, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted—crisp on the outside, yet wonderfully soft within. Topped with fresh avocado and accompanied by beautifully scrambled eggs, the dish struck that rare balance between simplicity and indulgence. The eggs were creamy and expertly seasoned, clearly prepared with care. Every bite felt thoughtfully composed, and the quality of the ingredients truly shone through.
The experience lingered with us throughout the day, and by evening, we found ourselves returning—drawn back by just how satisfying the morning had been. Dinner did not disappoint in the slightest. The burger was hearty and flavourful, cooked precisely to order, and served with all the classic accompaniments one hopes for. Equally impressive was the beef sugo pasta: rich, comforting, and deeply savoury, with a sauce that tasted as though it had been simmered for hours to achieve its depth.
What truly sets Balans apart is its consistency and atmosphere. Whether for a relaxed breakfast or a cosy dinner, the ambience remains welcoming and vibrant, with attentive service that enhances the overall experience without ever feeling intrusive.
All in all, Balans proved to be more than just a convenient dining spot—it became a memorable part of our London visit. The fact that we returned twice in one day speaks volumes, and we would gladly do so again on our next trip.
