Such a cosy, intimate place. The food isn’t pretentious, just genuinely good food done exceptionally well. You’re looked after by people who clearly love the restaurant and are passionate about what they do.
For starters- The avocado with vinaigrette was perfectly ripened, unbelievably creamy, and beautifully balanced with the dressing. The duck liver parfait was absolutely divine
Main - the steak was cooked exactly as requested. And the pork belly was THE BEST. Juicy, tender, with perfectly crisp skin. It was served with mashed potatoes that taste like something a grandma would make at home.
The chocolate pot for dessert looks so simple (literally a pot of chocolate) but it completely blew my mind. Slightly grainy in texture yet incredibly smooth and rich. Highly recommend pairing it with dessert wine, it was heavenly.
The team truly deserves recognition. They were passionate and warm, and their genuine pride in what they do elevate the entire experience. Will absolutely be back.

An absolute wonderful experience with Niamh! She was incredibly attentive and helpful, managed all of our dietary options well and made amazing recommendations. Other staff were very nice. I was impressed with the diversity of options on the menu. The atmosphere is definitely English countryside grandma's kitchen, and you feel like you're in someone's home in the best way. Also the location is great for a day making around London.
The only thing I would note is the kitchen does make everything to order. For a group of six we budgeted 2 hours to eat lunch and we should have budgeted 2.5hrs.

Had a lovely dinner at Maggie Jones’s.
The atmosphere is incredibly cosy – candlelight, wooden interiors, and that old-school London charm you don’t find very often anymore. It feels like stepping into someone’s country house rather than a typical restaurant.
We ordered Maggie’s fish pie, rump steak & chips, and the cheese and leek tart as part of the set menu.
The fish pie was comforting and well-balanced, with a creamy sauce and perfectly baked mashed potato on top. The steak was cooked nicely (medium rare) and the chips were classic and satisfying. The cheese and leek tart was rich but not too heavy – a great starter.
For dessert, the apple crumble was warm and homely, especially with custard.
No gimmicks, no over-complicated plating – just honest, traditional British food done properly.
Would definitely come back for another cosy evening.

Came here at the recommendation of my friend and it was absolutely delicious! The interior decor was a vibe and the staff were kind and friendly as well. I got the three courses set menu and wow each one of them hit the spot! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for that “good ol’ home made meal from your grandma by the countryside” in central London. (Or I’d imagine if I had an English grandma)

Such an amazing spot in the middle of modern chaos. Beautiful decor, nice food and friendly service! Very good Sunday roast, the beef was especially tender and full of flavour. We then shared an apple cornbread that came with a huge jug of custard. Very nice experience overall.

This is not the first time traveling to London and getting a beer and bar bites from an English Pub. Drinks are alright as it’s from tap beers. But there are no bartenders to make any cocktails. Probably could hire a proper bartender.
Ordered chicken wings Nashville hot sauce but there was no sauce on it. The chicken was just fried frozen I believe.
Could definitely do better with food . But I would come back for beer for the atmosphere but definitely not food .
Had to ask everything myself for plates and sauce.
The bar girl was also not very happy serving.

We had their Fish and Chips meal with a lager 🍺 and bottled water.
Very good fish (Atlantic Cod fish) with meaty fries.
I like how they serve a broiled half of lemon with the meal. Great on top of my fish.
Their lager was pretty excellent as well.
Nice meal.
Service of our meal was fast as well.

What a gem. The Prince of Wales nails that classic London-pub feel: warm lighting, comfy leather banquettes, framed heritage prints, and a beautifully kept bar with a brass foot rail and chequerboard tiles. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming — “Laura & the team” really do make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in.
Drinks are spot-on and sensibly priced for Kensington. The cask ales are well kept, there’s a broad range behind the bar, and seasonal specials (hello, Pimm’s and a Hugo spritz) keep things interesting. Plenty of seating for a chat, plus screens for all the live sport without it taking over the room — perfect balance.
Service is quick, friendly, and efficient; the place is spotless; and it’s an easy choice whether you’re popping in for a pint, settling in for a match, or meeting friends. Great vibe, great value, great pub.

I don't normally give 5Stars but this place deserves my marking. It's in a busy hot-spot in London and the service/quality was fantastic. Staff are attentive and polite. Food came quickly and was really good. Pictures of: Festive Burger & Steak & Ale Pie 😋

Ula was a wonderful wonderful host! Very attentive, complimentary and friendly with a personable service. She had it all under control, with many people coming through the doors Sunday morning for coffee and brunch. Thank you.
The food was filling and tasty, and Ula found a way for us to order a smaller portion of a second dish. The brunch menu is varied and had something for all tastes. Highly recommend the French toast stack with the vanilla crème which is incredible! The full Côte breakfast was appreciated too, with the best black pudding.
The atmosphere was very relaxed, warm and comfortable. A few tables were full but it was quiet. Lovely surroundings for a chilled brunch on a Sunday.

Côte Kensington is an absolute gem in London. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortlessly welcoming. The food was truly amazing—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, classic yet exciting.
What really elevated the experience was the outstanding service from Ula. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making us feel completely looked after without ever being intrusive. Her professionalism and friendly energy added such a personal touch to the evening.
An elegant atmosphere, amazing food, and exceptional service—Côte Kensington delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be returning!

Côte Kensington is a lovely neighbourhood restaurant close to Kensington High Street and Hyde Park. I had the charcuterie and steak with fries and both of them were very tasty. The wine was delicious too. The service and atmosphere were lovely and welcoming.

We had not been back to The Greyhound for 10 years after coming while on holiday…coming back was amazing! We booked a table ahead to watch a football game and it was waiting for us! Glad I did because the place filled up! Food was yummy and service was amazing! Henry and Laura were absolutely lovely! We enjoyed helping them practice their Spanish as well😄! We will for sure be back!

Stopped by for a quick drink, first visit. Nice smart pub. A few outside tables at the front of the pub.Large inside seating area at the rear of the pub, obviously geared up for sports since they have three big screens on the walls so you don't miss anything. Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Good service. Good choice of drinks at usual London prices. If you want to see a football match then this is a good place to go if they're showing it.
Michael C - 7 months ago
Food was lovely, and really quick service but, the restaurant area was mixed with people having drinks only and it was quite rowdy. The pool table in the middle of the seated area wasn't ideal as we had to keep a close eye on not getting a pool cue in the side of the head whilst eating our meal.

Shawerma was not well seasoned, nor had enough filling.
Hummus, although it looks delicious, it is tasteless unfortunately.
The only good thing is the prices and that it opens until 12AM.
Orange juice was below average
Good service
Had to give it 2 starts as we couldn’t even finish our meal !

This is an excellent restaurant. Clean facilities, polite staff and great food! You must stop by if you like shawarma. I ordered lamb shawarma and tabouli salad and they tasted wonderful. They were open even around 8:30pm when we got there. All three of us really enjoyed the food. 👍👏👏
Grandmaster Azad - 3 months ago
This place just blew out my expectations today. We were in the area casually, and I thought this would be just a convenient way to have food, more like a fast food experience. However I was wrong!
We got a cozy and nice table in the back. We order just a few things that we were planning to share, but portions are very generous and good quality - Everything was delicious. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish all, but speaking of generosity, the staff working there packaged everything again so we could take it home. Service was great, you could see these are folks that are going the extra mile to get their customers happy. I’m surprise it doesn’t have better reviews on average, but trust me, give it a try!! Whether you are a local like me, or a tourist, you won’t be disappointed.

Delicious food , small restaurant only few tables available. Quick service
Only thing to say , they brought starters and the shawarma wraps too close so no time to enjoy the starters and ended up eating everything together . We will definitely go again but will ask to leave some time till we get our mains

Nice place that can serve afternoon tea with out the pressure and you can order what you want. Spanish latte is a sweet verion of a latte and both were very nice. Sandwiches and cakes were excellent and service was very good. Note the club sandwiches can be toasted. Love the decor and the was a lot of space around the tables.
Ralph G - a month ago
My visit was ok, nothing special, and that applies to both the food and the service. The fried king prawns were not fully de-veined, which was off-putting, and the courgettes and carrots that came with them were drenched in oil. The oil was clean, but there was far too much of it.
The fish and chips were below average. The spicy pizza was probably the best dish we had, it tasted nice, but the base was very doughy and almost undercooked.
Our waiter, Maria Beatrice, was very polite and pleasant.
Overall, this place isn’t worth a visit or the price in my opinion. The food is below average. The interior is nice. I do not recommend.
Rebecca - 3 months ago
Passed by the cafe yesterday with their sweets calling my friend and my names. We said tomorrow for breakfast. Coffee and sweets. Did not expect a full menu as well as multiple choices for drinks. Had my first Spanish Latte - sweet smooth and elegant. An egg, mayo, and bacon sandwich. Yum! And ended the meal with Oreo Cheesecake and Black Forrest Cake. Wanted more, but my stomach can only expand so much. Very relaxed and classy atmosphere. The service was amazing!
John Ferreira - 6 months ago
Avoid, you can find much better afternoon tea elsewhere for £100.
We got afternoon tea at this cafe. I got Darjeeling tea and it was very weak, almost like drinking hot water. The food is nothing to write home about. The cucumber sandwich was very bland. The bread they used was like cardboard. The jam given was the standard bonne maman jar which you can find in any grocery store.
The service too was terrible. We had asked for a vegetarian tea set but they brought a meat based one instead so it had to be returned and replaced. They also seated us by the door at first then asked us if we wanted to move tables after we gave our orders. Last but not the least, they charged us 25% service charge, much higher than the standard 15%. So the £79 item on the menu turned into £100 by the time the check was brought. I will not be going back.

The pani puri was one of the best we've had - it was such a wonderful blend of textures (crunchy and soft). The fish curry was delicious and creamy, and the black gram dal was so wonderfully nutty.
Service was excellent as well. It also had a very nice and fancy interior but not at a bad price point. Thanks for having us! Insta: @twochewfoodies

Chakra’s a great spot if you’re after flavourful Indian food. They’ve got some outdoor seating, and the street it’s on is nice and quiet. Everything we ordered was really tasty and came out quickly, which was a bonus. The only downside is that there aren’t many options for kids or for those who prefer milder dishes.

We had made a digital reservation and showed up at the indicated hour but found out that the cooking had not started yet. We were welcomed courteously nevertheless and put at ease that we would make it on time for our theatre show. The food was absolutely delicious, the service outstanding considering the circumstance. We shall definitely go again when in London.

What a fantastic experience and wonderful cuisine. Excellent staff very knowledgeable brilliant atmosphere really comfortable, I ate everything and licked the plate clean. I had the chicken curry and it was delicious probably the best curry I’ve had in a long while. The mushroom rice you could eat on its own that’s how good it was. This is a boutique restaurant vey small but comfortable the atmosphere is very nice you will definitely have to book or be disappointed. This is probably the best Indian restaurant in London I was amazed how good the food was definitely I will be back there again and again. Fantastic exquisite food beautiful surroundings.

My friend and I enjoyed the Christmas carbonara - it looks, smells and tastes like the festive season! Great amount as well haha we're both feeling stuffed. Rich in sauce and generous in turkey bits. I was worried turkey will be conventionally dry but in fact it's very tender and we are both very impressed. Best turkey ever.

Typical tourist area restaurant that can serve up food quick. The Pizza is surprisingly good with a unique spicy sauce. You should just skip any pastas or appetizers and just order pizza here

On a lovely sunny day, They’re outside patio area is very continental and relaxing. I came with a two for one voucher I ate both of the lasagnas to myself😊.
Only disappointment on the food was the lasagna was put onto a plate, on other reviews of Prezzoits in its dish….. So it went cold pretty quickly and latched that authentic Italian Lasagna,
That disappointment was made up by superb staff Amer and Ania. A credit to Prezzo !!

Great offers, good food for reasonable prices. Unfortunately, although I booked a table for 4, we were given a tiny table and could barely fit our plates and drinks meanwhile groups of 2 were in booths. I recommend reserving booths if there are parties of 3 or more, similar to what other restaurants do. Also, their terms of service on the app explicitly states that you can stack the free donut balls offer with other offers, but they did not want to honour it. This isn't a big deal, but thought I should inform the restaurant that there is conflicting information on their app which may subvert people's expectations. The service was good and so was the atmosphere.

Wow! A friend and I had dinner and the experience was made amazing by David. Super friendly, engaging, and attentive — he checked in regularly and paid great attention to detail.
We planned to just have mains but ended up ordering loads of small plates (the truffle fried chicken and croquettes were unreal). Everything was delicious and the service was truly out of this world. Huge thanks to David — will definitely be back!

I found this gem of a restaurant my second morning in London. I ate breakfast every day after that and had dinner the last night in town. The food was amazing…I could just eat the bread and be happy. The staff was so accommodating to my food allergies and made me feel so welcome. If you are staying in London put this place on your list.
The homemade donuts with Chantilly cream, crème , patisserie, and melted dark chocolate was the best dessert I have had in all of my travels around Europe.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! We came for an early lunch and had a 50% off code. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delightful. My husband had steak and I had the special risotto which was to die for. Pornstar martinis are the best ever.
