5 Star Rating After being closed for two years following a fire, it was wonderful to see this restaurant finally reopen — and even better to experience it again. My wife and I visited last night, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like coming home. The restoration has been done beautifully, keeping the same cosy, welcoming atmosphere that made this place so special in the first place. The staff were absolutely brilliant — friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleased to have customers back. We were especially delighted to meet Christine, the manager, and so pleased to see that she is still there. It really added to the experience and made the evening feel even more personal and familiar. The food was absolutely gorgeous, every bit as good as we remembered. It’s reassuring (and impressive) to see that the high standards have been maintained. A lovely evening from start to finish, and we’re so glad to have our favourite restaurant back where it belongs. Highly recommended.

5 Star Rating I had been a regular patron of Maggie Jones's until it had to close a couple of years ago due to a fire. As soon as it reopened, some friends and I made a reservation and were relieved to see that the restaurant still had the warm, cozy vibe as before. The menu is still pretty much the same with several tasty options and a set menu, if you would like. Most recently, some friends and I decided to make a reservation for New Year's Eve, and it was the most fun! The tables were decorated for the occasion with party hats and other decor. The playlist was mostly from the '80s, I believe, which is my era, so my friends and I enjoyed that as well. Also the wait staff is very efficient and a lot of fun. I think I found my new New Year's Eve destination! Who

2 Star Rating I booked this for my partner’s birthday - our first visit. The food was great but the service was very poor. We had to keep waiting ages for staff to check on us, to get basics which hadn’t been provided, like the water we’d asked for when we arrived, the wine list, the accompanying parts of dishes, coffee, the card machine to pay and so on. They clearly closed down the downstairs area of the restaurant around 9.30pm (on a Saturday in December) while the upstairs was still very lively. This meant that they were getting out bin bags, scraping down tables and climbing on tables to rearrange decor, all before we’d been offered desserts or coffee. In fact, we were never offered these - I had to get up and go and ask someone for a coffee for my partner, so that they would remember we were there and come and clear the dishes from the table. At every stage of the meal, there was something we had to wait for or get up and ask for. I’d asked on booking they do something small just to acknowledge my partner’s birthday, but they didn’t. It was just very clear all the way through the evening that they really didn’t care about our experience. Our waiter was very new to the job, not his fault at all as everyone needs time to learn the ropes, but no one else seems to be checking to make sure things were going well. The food and wine were were good, but there are plenty of places in London with equally good food but much better service. We spent over £150 on two courses and a bottle of wine, and we paid the service charge, but came away feeling very deflated. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it anyone else, as they really just dont seem to care about their customers’ experience and if really spoiled my partner’s birthday celebration. Very disappointing.

5 Star Rating We had their Fish and Chips meal with a lager 🍺 and bottled water. Very good fish (Atlantic Cod fish) with meaty fries. I like how they serve a broiled half of lemon with the meal. Great on top of my fish. Their lager was pretty excellent as well. Nice meal. Service of our meal was fast as well.

5 Star Rating What a gem. The Prince of Wales nails that classic London-pub feel: warm lighting, comfy leather banquettes, framed heritage prints, and a beautifully kept bar with a brass foot rail and chequerboard tiles. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming — “Laura & the team” really do make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Drinks are spot-on and sensibly priced for Kensington. The cask ales are well kept, there’s a broad range behind the bar, and seasonal specials (hello, Pimm’s and a Hugo spritz) keep things interesting. Plenty of seating for a chat, plus screens for all the live sport without it taking over the room — perfect balance. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient; the place is spotless; and it’s an easy choice whether you’re popping in for a pint, settling in for a match, or meeting friends. Great vibe, great value, great pub.

5 Star Rating I had an absolutely wonderful evening at Côte in Kensington. For starters, I went with calamari, seared scallops, crab maison, and the French onion soup — which was immaculate, rich, and perfectly savoury. For my main, I chose the salmon and swapped the truffle chips for a fresh salad — an excellent decision, as the seasoning was spot-on and every bite was perfect. Dessert was a highlight in itself — the crème caramel was silky, rich, and quickly became my absolute favourite, while the chocolate lava cake was indulgent and perfectly gooey in the centre. Later, I enjoyed a few cocktails, and the new flat white cocktail from their latest range was hands down my favourite. I also tried the “Passion in Paris,” which was equally delightful. The whole evening had a romantic charm, especially with the beautiful Kensington walkway just outside. A special thank you to Krish, who made the night truly memorable.

5 Star Rating We had a very enjoyable pre-concert dinner at the Kensington Cote this week. The service was friendly and fast, and we were lucky with the weather, so an outside table allowed us to get some early evening sunshine 🌞. The a la carte mains we chose were the Beef Cheek Bourguignon and the Poulet Breton with the Petits Pois à la Française side dish, both were delicious. A couple of free glasses of Crémant Rosé was a nice bonus too. Recommended.

4 Star Rating We had a fantastic meal at Yashin: the sushi was superb and the chefs are incredibly talented. The staff were also wonderfully kind and welcoming… perhaps a little too kind, because they seemed happy to let absolutely anything slide. Halfway through our omakase, a couple of takeaway guests in tracksuits were seated at the sushi counter and started watching TikTok videos out loud, as if the restaurant had suddenly turned into a food court. It completely broke the atmosphere and sadly put us off staying for dessert. Yashin is genuinely excellent, but the counter deserves the same respect the chefs put into every piece of sushi. A gentle phone ban and keeping those seats for dine-in guests would protect what should be a really special experience.

A few outside tables at the front of the pub.Large inside seating area at the rear of the pub, obviously geared up for sports since they have three big screens on the walls so you don't miss anything. Food available but we didn't stay to eat. Good service. Good choice of drinks at usual London prices. If you want to see a football match then this is a good place to go if they're showing it.

5 Star Rating This place just blew out my expectations today. We were in the area casually, and I thought this would be just a convenient way to have food, more like a fast food experience. However I was wrong! We got a cozy and nice table in the back. We order just a few things that we were planning to share, but portions are very generous and good quality - Everything was delicious. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish all, but speaking of generosity, the staff working there packaged everything again so we could take it home. Service was great, you could see these are folks that are going the extra mile to get their customers happy. I’m surprise it doesn’t have better reviews on average, but trust me, give it a try!! Whether you are a local like me, or a tourist, you won’t be disappointed.

4 Star Rating Lovely spot — but please fix those chairs! Ranoush Juice on Ken High is one of my favourite go-to places — great service, delicious food, and the best fresh mint tea and hummus in town! Everything is perfect except two things I truly beg the owner to fix: 1️⃣ Please, please provide Wi-Fi! Many of us would love to sit here longer to read, write, and work — it’s such a wonderful environment otherwise. 2️⃣ Those super high chairs at the entrance — honestly, what’s with the height? You practically need a ladder to climb up! As a solo traveller, I love sitting upfront to work or research, but those chairs are a back-and-hip hazard. Everything else — top marks. Just lower the chairs and add Wi-Fi, and Ranoush would be perfection.

2 Star Rating My visit was ok, nothing special, and that applies to both the food and the service. The fried king prawns were not fully de-veined, which was off-putting, and the courgettes and carrots that came with them were drenched in oil. The oil was clean, but there was far too much of it. The fish and chips were below average. The spicy pizza was probably the best dish we had, it tasted nice, but the base was very doughy and almost undercooked. Our waiter, Maria Beatrice, was very polite and pleasant. Overall, this place isn’t worth a visit or the price in my opinion. The food is below average. The interior is nice. I do not recommend.

2 Star Rating Avoid, you can find much better afternoon tea elsewhere for £100. We got afternoon tea at this cafe. I got Darjeeling tea and it was very weak, almost like drinking hot water. The food is nothing to write home about. The cucumber sandwich was very bland. The bread they used was like cardboard. The jam given was the standard bonne maman jar which you can find in any grocery store. The service too was terrible. We had asked for a vegetarian tea set but they brought a meat based one instead so it had to be returned and replaced. They also seated us by the door at first then asked us if we wanted to move tables after we gave our orders. Last but not the least, they charged us 25% service charge, much higher than the standard 15%. So the £79 item on the menu turned into £100 by the time the check was brought. I will not be going back.

5 Star Rating I went there for dinner with my friends yesterday and I believe our server was David. From the start to the end he was attentive to our table, spoke to us and joked around with us which made the whole experience a lot more better. As someone with a Gluten Allergy he gave me a full folder with all the allergens highlighted which made picking my meal out a lot easier. I really enjoyed my Gluten free starter and main, but sadly no pictures for the two dishes I ordered because it was devoured very quickly. Overall, a really great experience and the great service we received just made everything 100 times a lot better.

5 Star Rating I found this gem of a restaurant my second morning in London. I ate breakfast every day after that and had dinner the last night in town. The food was amazing…I could just eat the bread and be happy. The staff was so accommodating to my food allergies and made me feel so welcome. If you are staying in London put this place on your list. The homemade donuts with Chantilly cream, crème , patisserie, and melted dark chocolate was the best dessert I have had in all of my travels around Europe.

5 Star Rating If I could give 6 stars, I would! We came for an early lunch and had a 50% off code. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delightful. My husband had steak and I had the special risotto which was to die for. Pornstar martinis are the best ever. Incredible service and in such a relaxed manner - we are so happy to visit here time and time again and it’s a firm favourite. Huge thank you to Leah and Jessie ❤️❤️ made our first time in London as newly weds one to remember ❤️ thank you xx

4 Star Rating Diverse menu - food was good. I wish the fish was seasoned a bit better, but the breading and done-ness was great! Service was quick and friendly as well.

5 Star Rating If you’re looking for fresh-squeezed orange juice, fabulous mimosas, and truly delicious food look no further! The bacon is some of the best I’ve ever had, nice and crispy, and the pancakes are TO DIE FOR. The vibe is cute and the staff is warm and friendly. We will hit this spot every time we’re in town!
